1. Introduction: God is the Potter Who Shapes Us
Good day to all. It brings me joy to connect with you online once again. Whether you are with us in person, online, or listening to this recording later, understand this: I am sharing with you a new insight from my recent studies of God's Word. This insight is related to our past weeks dealing with the spirit of lust. Confronting this spirit has led me to re-examine the Scriptures. Today's topic is: Abounding in Hope Through the Power of the Holy Spirit. How does this relate to the spirit of lust? It is deeply connected, for the Holy Spirit contends against lust, and His power is the solution.
God Manifests His Power Through Us
Recently, I shared on Becoming a Builder. During this message, I expressed, with some excitement, that I enable the downtrodden to rise. This assertion brought hope to some, as they associated themselves with my journey from humble beginnings. However, it also raised concerns as many felt they were still far from the mark. Today, I would like to refine that statement. Whether scholar or common man, we can all empower the downtrodden to rise.
This is my dream, my deep hope. I seem to see in a vision that among us are many who may not be powerful, noble, or talented, yet God, through you and through us—those who seem unremarkable and lacking in ability or status—will shame the mighty and the noble. Why? Because we rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, holding fast to the hope within Him. We know that with us, it is impossible, but with God, all things are possible. For our God desires to subdue our fleshly desires within us, transforming us into vessels for His glory.
Grounded Growth Through Daily Living
Perhaps you rely on outward appearances in society, with nothing substantial within. You may have attained a certain status, like a Ma Yun or a Taiji master, only to be defeated and humiliated. But today, through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can abound in hope. Our Gospel is precisely this: all who believe in Him will witness the power of God in it.
If you live by boasting, and your boasts have been exposed, I tell you, today you can abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, brethren, I particularly treasure divine acts. I am not inclined to mere rhetoric, which I find unfulfilling. Let us proclaim miracles, the stories of common men uplifted by God's work in us. I deeply value the power of our God. For this Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe, regardless of circumstance. If you know to depend on the power of the Holy Spirit, God will not let your hope be in vain, surely.
I envision that in the days to come, in heaven and on earth, in the spiritual realm, hosts of angels will celebrate and proclaim our stories of glorifying God. If we are already successful, the need for God may seem less. It is because we are aware of our shortcomings, our struggles in this world, that God reveals His glory through us. Consider the man born blind, a tragic figure, through whom God displayed His glory by restoring his sight. Likewise, our God is a God of miracles, a God who empowers the downtrodden, transforming them into those who uplift others. Therefore, we have great hope today.
Victory Assured Through the Holy Spirit
With the power of the Holy Spirit, life becomes simple. You may have joined us recently, burdened by past debts. But do not lose hope. Our God has long awaited us. Turn to Him today, and embrace Abounding in Hope Through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Some might say, Pastor, it's impossible, to which I reply, Even at sixty, it is not too late. I have seen the downtrodden rise at seventy. Or, I am only fifty. It matters not. I have seen the downtrodden rise at sixty. Forty, thirty, twenty, even younger, age is no barrier to our God, who values our steadfast faith in Him.
Perhaps you feel like the Da Lian from the ballad, ready to jump into the river. As long as you haven't, there is still hope for your rising because our God is a God of power. Countless testimonies and stories inspire us. Do not fear, worry, or be anxious; simply look to God. He will supplement your shortcomings with His grace. I was moved by God’s love, and I was inspired to serve Him because that’s how God served me. In God’s eyes, I was once like a piece of dung, but He made me a blessed person.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. (1 Corinthians 15:10)
Brethren, can you grasp my conviction? Moved and inspired by God's love, I resolved never to abandon anyone among us who is willing to follow. As I prepared this message last night, I inquired about a sister whom a pastor was tending, and I said, Reflect on how I ministered to you. Had I ministered with the same despair you show, how could I have helped you? You were once in despair, yet now you have grown. I thank God for the vision of manifesting His glorious name, which I saw in the Holy Spirit and in Jesus Christ, and through which you have become who you are today. As you shepherd others, will you emulate this?
Know this, brethren, that our shepherds may not yet be perfect, but I envision them improving through the power of the Holy Spirit, continually subduing our carnal passions and living out the glorious image of God. I deeply hope that each of you, every shepherd, will become like the Apostle Paul, self-sufficient and able to support your co-workers, a triumph over humble beginnings. It is not just those like Paul who can become like him, but anyone, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let us resolve to rather be wronged than to wrong others. No matter how others hurt, betray, or forsake us, let us hold fast to our calling, sustained by God's grace. Inspired by His love, can we become like Christ? Though this introduction has been brief, I hope it has inspired you to believe that, regardless of your present circumstances, God will empower you through the Holy Spirit to abound in hope, to envision a new self shaped by His Spirit, putting aside pretense to face our God in spirit and in truth, allowing Him to mold us into vessels of His glory.
2. Scripture: Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
3. Prayer
Lord, work in our hearts today, that regardless of our circumstances, we may abound in hope through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill our inadequacies with Your grace, leading us to continual growth. Grant us the strength to live each day in this world through the power of the Holy Spirit, abandoning pretense and worldly ways. Today, grant us unwavering faith to trust in You, filling our hearts with joy and peace, removing fear and worry, transforming us into new creations, abounding in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen!
4. The Context of This Scripture
Following the introduction, the scripture, and the prayer, today’s topic is vital: people desperately need hope. So many are filled with despair, but I assure you, if you can move from yesterday to today, you can move from today to tomorrow. Even if the past was filled with hardship, our God is mighty. I speak not with wise and persuasive words, but with the power of the Spirit, so that your faith may not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
The central theme of Romans: Justification by faith? Many years ago, Martin Luther thought it was justification by faith after reading it. But we also thank God that he could read that at his level. But the truth is that as long as your language skills are up to par, you can read it from it. This gospel is the power of God, and a gospel without power is not a gospel at all. What we need is miracles, for without them, we cannot navigate our present difficulties. When the common man sees God’s work, their inner hope is ignited! We must recognize that this Gospel is the power of God, saving all who believe, not those who act.
Paul's Defense of the True Gospel
We must radically transform our perspective. The theme of Romans is that the Gospel is the power of God. Do you know the background of Paul writing Romans? Paul did not establish the church in Rome. He had just successfully addressed the chaos in Corinth and written Galatians to address the turmoil there as well. The root of these issues was closely tied to James. The church in Rome was similarly influenced, facing problems akin to those in Corinth and Galatia. Paul longed to visit the church in Rome, but was hindered. Thus, he wrote Romans during his journey to Jerusalem, carrying donations from churches in Asia, the Roman Empire, Europe, and Macedonia to aid the impoverished church in Jerusalem.
Paul deeply desired that the church in Jerusalem would return to the pure, powerful Gospel. What was happening there? The church had become almost a Pharisaical sect, its gospel transformed into a Pharisaical one. Our present-day churches face similar circumstances, and the challenges we anticipate may be even greater. Before reaching Jerusalem, Paul was repeatedly warned by the Spirit of impending imprisonment, as detailed in Acts. Yet, he was driven by the hope that his service would transform the church in Jerusalem, making them realize the absurdity of turning the powerful Gospel into a powerless one. Paul observed that the Jewish Christians in Jerusalem were zealous for God, but lacked true knowledge, whether referring to the Jewish people or the church, we cannot be certain.
Reading Romans reveals that the church in Rome was under considerable influence, leading Paul to defend the authentic Gospel. He did so without attacking individuals or engaging in political maneuvering, his efforts were focused on ensuring everyone would have access to the pure Gospel. We must understand that Paul wrote Romans to address the problem of a powerless Gospel, a theme still relevant today. What problems can a powerless Gospel solve? Those concerning human lust, which include not only sexual matters like homosexuality, but also rivalries, jealousy, envy, and discord. All these are closely tied to issues of lust. A carnal person is inevitably driven by lust, and this is why we need a powerful Gospel that tackles the problem of human lust. If you have read ancient novels, they often depict depraved stories, such as wicked women, all of which are specific manifestations of human lust.
Lust Nullifies Intellect
Whether we like it or not, we must admit that our most vulnerable point is human lust. Once aroused, intellect vanishes. Although lust may extend beyond sexual issues, its scope is such that it can nullify intellect. Should not our Gospel address these problems? This Gospel, is the power of God that addresses the lusts of the flesh, dealing with our dying bodies!
Therefore, brothers and sisters, I recognize your weaknesses, and I acknowledge my own. God is aware of our frailties, and this Gospel is meant to resolve these issues. We must be genuine with God, acknowledging our weaknesses and relying on His power to strengthen us. This is precisely what the Gospel aims to achieve. How is it achieved? Through faith, through which God fills our hearts with all joy. If you worry about paying rent tomorrow, God will provide. If you feel overwhelmed with tasks, our God is capable of addressing these issues. Fundamentally, the solution begins and ends with faith, as Paul clearly describes, which I have come to understand through great effort.
5. From Faith to Faith
All that Pertains to Life Involves Growth
We often fall into the habit of oscillating between zero and one, feeling completely inadequate one moment and angelic the next, collapsing in defeat or reveling in victory. But it is not so. Things do not suddenly switch on and off like a light. Everything related to life involves a process of growth. So it is with faith. In Genesis, we see Abraham’s faith gradually molded, tested, and developed until it became as pure as refined fire, leading him to offer Isaac to God. Everything begins and ends with faith, starting with 1% and growing to 2%, as we progressively mature. This exploration of faith often creates myths, such as that of false faith.
Last night, over dinner, I discussed faith with a co-worker. He asked if certain things constituted faith, prompting me to ask, “What exactly is faith?” If our faith is based on ourselves, it is self-confidence. What, then, is biblical faith? It is based on the word of God, on the power of the Holy Spirit, and on God’s promises. To believe in God’s promises is to believe in His words. Therefore, we do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Many harbor false faith. For instance, they are diagnosed with cancer and declare they believe God will heal them, yet they never receive healing. Occasionally, someone might be healed, but it is uncertain whether it was due to the hospital’s equipment or medical expertise. We often see people with great faith, but it is not grounded in the word of God. For example, someone might say, “God, protect me as I rob a bank. I believe I will succeed, and I trust God will be with me.” Would that work? No, we must understand what God has said.
Basing Faith on Works is Not True Faith
Any faith apart from the word of God is useless, and so is any faith apart from the power of the Holy Spirit. We must understand what constitutes false faith. If our faith is rooted in our actions, it is even worse. Why did Paul constantly mention the Jews, Abraham, and the law in Romans? Because the church in Rome was also nearing a dependence on works, influenced by legalistic teachings. Basing faith on works cannot release the power of the Holy Spirit, and without this power, how can people have hope?
As Paul wrote Romans, the church in Jerusalem had become desolate, yet continued to promote Mosaic law, which cannot release the power of God. Only the salvation of Jesus Christ can unleash the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe that through writing Romans, the errors that cause churches to lose the power of the Holy Spirit were explained to the brothers and sisters in the Roman church.
Today, we must return to starting with faith and ending with faith. If you believe a little, you can gain two points, and with two, you can gain three. Therefore, brothers and sisters, have you noticed how, regardless of your stage, our God always elevates you one step higher? This, in essence, is growth, allowing us to continually develop. Brothers and sisters, our God loves us so much! In Jesus' teachings, if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can command mountains to move into the sea. Our God is that kind of God. Know, brethren, that regardless of your circumstances, restore your faith in God, and let a right spirit be renewed within you. Abandon hypocrisy and dependence on works, for any gospel that cannot release God’s power is not a true gospel. No matter who preaches it, even the most esteemed, it cannot add anything to us.
6. God's Love Manifested When Christ Died for Us While We Were Still Sinners
Sinners live by the lusts of the flesh. Why do we have so much confusion within us? Why are there so many tragedies and troubles in life? It is because people live in the lusts of the flesh. But when people come to know God, they do not instantly become saints. In a flawed theological system, we may think, Ah, I am already saved, and then remain stagnant, staying in a state of sin, yet falsely believing we are saved. That is a false faith. What is true faith? It is faith like a mustard seed, which grows. This is what Paul meant by faith from first to last, which is consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, you don't need to worry about how great your faith is today. If you have faith like a mustard seed, as long as it is a living faith, it can grow. As long as you start turning back when you are still a sinner, no matter what you were like in the past, if you start turning back today, and embark on this path of trusting in God, the power of the Holy Spirit will begin to work in you, saving you from being a sinner, from the evil habits full of carnal desires—bragging, lying, cheating, bluffing, packaging, and all that.
Constantly Shaping Us Through the Holy Spirit
We have all been like that. When we were still sinners, God designed a plan of salvation, allowing Jesus Christ to die, and thus God's love was manifested. Do not doubt God's love. God wants to bring us out of Egypt, out of this world. Whether or not to walk out is determined by your feet. Therefore, God does not save a saint, but saves a sinner, allowing this sinner to constantly deal with the fleshly passions and desires through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we deal with the lusts of our flesh, that is our salvation. We are gradually molded by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of saints.
Brothers and sisters, I must confess, I never dared to believe that I would become like this today. Twenty or thirty years ago, if you had asked me if I had ever thought I would become like this, I would have said no. Today, I myself am surprised at how I have become, but the Holy Spirit can mold us into this likeness. After I came to know God, I have been constantly trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit, taking steady steps forward.
Brothers and sisters, do you know that God is so loving to us, pouring out the Holy Spirit into our hearts, the Holy Spirit becoming our Helper, constantly helping us, and opening up a path of sanctification for us? So it is good that you are a sinner, for God saves sinners. You will come to this conclusion when you read the Bible. Therefore, when we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us, and God's love was manifested in this. Today, let us be encouraged by God's love, and have great hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
No matter what situation you are in today, no matter how bad you are, or how good you are, it doesn't matter. What matters is that we start moving forward from where we are, constantly moving forward through the power of the Holy Spirit. God has long predestined us to be victorious; God will surely make us people who rise from humble beginnings; God will surely make you and me people who enable others to rise from humble beginnings. All this is because of God's grace, because of the work of the Holy Spirit within us.
7. The Spirit Against the Flesh
Life's Problems Are Closely Related to the Lusts of the Flesh
The process of God saving us is the Holy Spirit contending with the lusts within us, constantly eliminating the carnal desires in us. If we talk about diseases in the world today, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) explains it well. TCM divides people's problems into several types. The diseases of the human body basically involve several kinds of pathogenic factors, such as wind, heat, dampness, and so on. How do these pathogenic factors enter the human body? It is because people have the seven emotions and six desires, which means that the seven emotions and six desires can bring in evil spirits, causing people to get sick. What are the seven emotions and six desires? They are joy, anger, sorrow, happiness, grief, fear, and fright. These seven emotions control the five internal organs, and the five internal organs are closely related to the seven emotions and six desires, with a one-to-one correspondence. Diseases are closely related to people's desires, and desires are the main source of people's diseases.
The problems that the Holy Spirit wants to solve are these. The gospel that Jesus Christ came to preach in this world is to heal the sick and cast out demons. Healing the sick and casting out demons is the concrete manifestation of the Holy Spirit putting to death the lusts of our flesh. Brothers and sisters, today we need to start understanding a little bit of TCM. Sorrow damages the lungs, anger damages the liver, and joy damages the heart. These lusts mentioned in the Bible, in people's lives, form the basis of TCM. Of course, even without TCM, through observation in people's daily lives, you will find that people with lung diseases have a particular emotional response, such as Lin Daiyu, who likes to be sad. The father of one of our sisters had lung cancer and later died from it. When he was idle, he would smoke and sulk, which is sadness. Liver diseases are related to anger.
Brothers and sisters, we need to know why Paul so strongly opposed the Dede's and Gaga's. Don't be surprised by what I'm saying; just a brief mention, and you can speculate about who I'm referring to. It's because the law of Moses they preached had no effect in dealing with people's lusts. What are you doing when you preach a gospel that has no effect? I myself am also curious why some people preach the law of Moses, preach circumcision, preach certain things, and they are all sent out from the Jerusalem church. I am very surprised at why it has become like this. While they are constantly doing these things, Paul is constantly tearing them down.
Overcoming Desires Through the Holy Spirit
Writing the book of Romans was to constantly tear down these things, because it has no effect in dealing with people's desires. For example, since ancient times, China has had many moral concepts, but using moral concepts to deal with these evil passions and desires has no effect. Therefore, in ancient Chinese temples, some evil and crooked things often happened, as often written in Chinese novels.
So brothers and sisters, you must know that the gospel we believe in today is a gospel full of hope. Our body is a dying body, and the desires within us often cause a lot of trouble. Who wants to get liver cancer? No one wants to. Who wants to get lung cancer? No one does. Who wants to get stomach cancer? No one does. But they just can't control themselves; there is bitterness inside, there is contention, there is discomfort. Who wants to live uncomfortably? No one wants to live uncomfortably. But today, our weakness has the help of the Holy Spirit. How does the Holy Spirit help us? The Holy Spirit is through God giving a new grace, which the New Testament says that the Holy Spirit will come upon us, and we will receive power, receive the power of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit will greatly fill us, and we will begin to receive power.
Brothers and sisters, let us start trying today. If your desires are relatively strong, you need to often pray in the Holy Spirit, in tongues, and you will find it very effective, because this is what the Holy Spirit wants to do. Moreover, in Romans chapter 8, verse 26:
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. (Romans 8:26-30)
Paul wrote it as clearly as possible, very clearly. We have many desire problems that need to be dealt with.
Following Desires Leads to Corruption
Some time ago, I was ministering to someone who was creating trouble for no reason. Of course, these are all sisters; the brothers are better. A little thing causes trouble. This matter is resolved by the power of the Holy Spirit. In fact, my ministry is often a ministry that gives hope. It’s not that I am great, but the Holy Spirit is great. In the process of my ministry, I often give people hope, because living is a very simple thing. My God can certainly mold you into a glorious person and restore the glorious image that God originally created you in. People who create trouble for no reason are driven by inner desires, the desires they were born with. It's very strange, they corrupt themselves. How does the devil corrupt people? It adjusts the logical system within people. In fact, Satan is very clear about the Art of War; it knows very well what is meant by subduing the enemy without fighting. The devil is very powerful. As long as it brings you to the path of the knowledge of good and evil, it is enough to watch the show there. As long as it brings you to the place of hypocrisy, it is enough to watch the show, and you will bring corruption upon yourself there.
People corrupt themselves, so the Holy Spirit looks anxious, and I also look anxious. Therefore, today we begin to know that our God is a God of great power, today our gospel is a gospel of great power, today no matter what kind of ministry we are under, our big and small problems are solved by the Holy Spirit. God helped you in the past, and God helps you today. It's not because you are good enough that God helps you, but because God loves us, so He helps us. This is such great grace!
We humans like to be critical, and being critical is a kind of desire. After being critical, people feel uncomfortable. Therefore, today I begin to define serving by the power of the Holy Spirit, so that your faith does not depend on human wisdom, but only on the power of God. So that our hope does not depend on human wisdom, but only on the power of God. We really need miracles, we really need God, we really need God's actions on us, we really need the Holy Spirit to help us and deal with the evil passions and desires on us, so that we can become victorious people. Therefore, we must be victorious in wrestling with people and with God. With people is with ourselves. Our inner heart and spirit want to rely on God, but what our desires do is all corruption.
Therefore, some time ago, I gave a sermon called I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air! Can we restore the hope within us? Do you know that the gospel our God has given us is a powerful gospel? The problem it solves is the problem you and I face today. You and I are not good enough. When we are good enough, we are lying in a coffin. It is because we are not good enough that we need to trust in God. It is because we are not good enough that we need to put to death our fleshly passions and desires through the Holy Spirit; it is because we are not good enough that we need God, that we need this powerful gospel.
Some time ago, I got good news. A mother and daughter came among us, taking the knowledge of good and evil to the extreme, creating trouble for no reason, often creating a lot of trouble. Our pastors, influenced by me, serve them with great patience. Today they are constantly being changed, and their understanding is beginning to become clear. They are constantly being transformed by the Holy Spirit, and the devil is constantly being suppressed.
A few days ago, when I was leading prayer, someone who was controlled by the spirit of the dragon was constantly typing there, typing all kinds of smoky things. Many people were troubled by these words, because what she typed was all smoky things, such as who raped her, who took her money, all lies. But when many people hear this, they will be confused, how can there be such a person. That is the spirit of the dragon, the dragon of desire. We don't need to care about the lies she tells. I am very eager for her to come out from within. I will not, because she is controlled by the spirit of the dragon and says some slanderous or humiliating things about me, move my emotions or my bottom line. I will continue to have great hope in my heart with God's love and the power of the Holy Spirit. This sister will surely be released from the control of the dragon. Without the power of the Holy Spirit, what can I do?
Some time ago, a sister was kicked out of a church. Why? Because that church cares a lot about the relationship between husband and wife. Do they only care about the relationship between husband and wife and not about God? When she came among us, the diseases she had were healed one by one through prayer. God really favored her, and now her condition is getting better and better. Isn't that serving by the power of the Holy Spirit? If we think that this person is good enough to come to church, and that person is too filthy to come to church, what kind of logic is this? I tell you this is the logic of the Pharisees.
Desiring Freedom and Release
Today, brothers and sisters, everyone longs to be molded by the Holy Spirit, and everyone wants to become like the Apostle Paul. Everyone longs to no longer be a loser, no longer just a person who rises from humble beginnings, but longs to become a person who serves this generation. You will experience God more. Therefore, our gospel is the Holy Spirit contending with desires, completely releasing the bondage from desires, which is the redemption of our bodies. This is in Romans chapter 8, verse 23. Therefore, today we are full of hope. The path we are going to take today is the path God wants to lead us on. Today, we rely on the Holy Spirit to put to death the evil deeds of the flesh, to put to death the desires of the flesh, so that we can begin to subject our bodies. The redemption of our bodies means that our bodies cannot become our bondage, and the little things we live for can no longer bind us.
Today, let us ignite the deep desires within us at the depths of our hearts. In the past, our desires had no faith. Today, we not only have desires but also have faith to believe that God will surely fulfill according to our inner desires, according to our inner faith. Because our God, the gospel we believe in, is exactly this kind of gospel, the God we believe in is exactly this kind of God, who redeems our bodies, so that our bodies are no longer a dying body, but our bodies can obey our spirit, so that we can become more and more prosperous.
Thirsting is the Prerequisite for Victory
This process is the process of wrestling with God and with people. The Bible records a Jacob who once obtained the birthright and received his father's blessing, and then went to his uncle Laban's house with a staff, a rich man's son, becoming a shepherd. His uncle repeatedly reduced his salary, cheated him, and fooled him, but in the end, he overcame everything step by step. In the end, when faced with a matter of life and death, he was afraid. Don't think that Jacob became a spiritual person all at once. No, he became so step by step. Not only Jacob was like this, but Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph were also like this. You and I are still like this. As a result, Jacob was at the Jabbok River, and God said you go over, and Jacob said, I won't go over, I'm afraid. God wrestled with him. The Bible says it was His angel, and the angel wrestled with him. As a result, he pressed Jacob to the ground and pinched him, and he became lame. As a result, this Jacob grabbed the angel's leg and refused to let go, saying, If you do not bless me, I will not let you go. As a result, he surrendered to God. Later, God said, You go over, and he went over.
God blessed him, and he relied on God's blessing, God's power, and there was nothing he could do. He rushed to the front of the team, and his brother Esau was about to kill him with four hundred soldiers. Suddenly, his brother's thoughts changed. Do you think our God cannot do these things? Our God can definitely do these things. This is called prevailing in wrestling with God and with people. Today you have struggles inside, I know; I have struggles inside, I know, and our God knows. But our God will help us to help us overcome the fear inside, overcome all the things that belong to desire. Don't think that desire is just a matter of sexuality. Anything related to emotions is the spirit of desire.
Having Faith Like a Mustard Seed, Constantly Growing
Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must know how good our God is, how great our God is! When we are weak, God becomes our strength; when we are worried, He becomes our strength. Trust in God, and we will be filled with all joy and peace in our hearts through faith by the Holy Spirit. You may be in an irrecoverable place, you may walk to a place where there is no road ahead, and there are pursuing soldiers behind. Just like the Israelites walked to the Red Sea, and behind them were the soldiers of Pharaoh of Egypt. But I tell you that our God can make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Our God can divide the Red Sea, and the Israelites walked through the Red Sea as if walking on dry ground. Our God can not only divide the Red Sea, but also divide the Jordan River. Our God is a God who performs miracles. Put down your worries, restore your hope. You may be sixty years old this year, and God can do a turnaround work on you; you may be fifty years old, and God can still do a turnaround work; you are only in your forties, let alone, in your thirties, let alone, in your teens, let alone.
Today, when we wrestle and compete with our desires, we can be victorious by relying on the Spirit of God. Our God is the God who helps us, our God is the God who loves us. When our faith is like a mustard seed, God begins to help us, no longer believing the devil's lies, but only believing in God's power. Today, believe that this is the day God is working on you, because my sermon can restore your faith, your faith can be restored, begin to ignite the hope within you, begin to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today I am gradually realizing how important healing and deliverance are, how important healing the sick and casting out demons are. Many problems are solved by healing and deliverance, healing the sick and casting out demons. Don't think that being in desire is ourselves. It is when we have a little fear in our hearts that the spirit of fear comes to make you turn from onefold fear to tenfold fear. So we must cast out the spirit of fear, we must cast out the spirit of worry. Today, brothers and sisters, begin to receive release. I know that's not you. So when I often teach people how to do healing and deliverance, I often tell them that the evil spirit in you wants to kill you. In fact, the evil spirit deals with it back and forth, and through the person concerned, it says, I just want to kill him, why haven't I killed her yet? That evil spirit lives in you and says through your mouth that it wants to kill you.
Today, rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is a Spirit who releases us. The Holy Spirit can release us. When we begin to have faith in God, believe in Jesus Christ, accept the salvation of Jesus, Jesus Christ washes away our transgressions and turns us into righteous people, and the devil becomes an illegal resident in us. Before, when we did not accept the salvation of Jesus Christ, the devil legally lived in us. Today, begin to rely on the precious blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to cast out the devil, so that we can regain freedom.
Conclusion: Restoring the Image of God in Us
Have great hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, and begin to paint a glorious image for yourself in your heart, in your mind. You say that God originally created me in this glorious image, and with the power of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will surely mold you into what you believe, not according to human words, but according to God's words. Today, God's words must enter into you, removing all worldly dreams in the world. If you still want to build a unicorn in this world, build a huge enterprise, and want to earn a lot of money to show off in front of people, I tell you that you will not be able to please God. Because this is a worldly dream, which is part of desire itself. Therefore, today, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we have great hope to become a new creation in Jesus Christ. We must completely smash the worldly logic system within us and begin to re-establish a set of God-centered, God-pleasing logic system.
Today I say to you again, don't oppose God with anyone, don't be enemies with God with anyone. Pleasing anyone is not as good as pleasing God. This is my life's creed. Walking to this day, I do not regret that I made such a choice. Today I tell you these words, and I also wish that our brothers and sisters can come out of your predicament. If you have already come out of the predicament, also help others to come out of the predicament. You become a person who releases the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, brothers and sisters, begin to have great hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Begin to rejoice and look forward to the fulfillment of God's good plan for us, until we see His glorious face and receive His glorious crown.
Today, tell yourself in your heart that good things will be accomplished, and wonderful things will happen. This is the day our God is working on us, this is the day the mighty gospel of God is to be restored. No matter who it is, neither can they deprive us of the freedom we have in Jesus Christ, nor can they deprive us of the blessings we have in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has already reigned as Lord in us. No matter how many promises God has, they are yes and amen in Jesus Christ. May God bless everyone!
