Introduction
Good morning, everyone. Let us examine a topic, Be a Wise Person. Cultivating wisdom is an excellent habit, yet human beings often resist it, which is rather perplexing. For example, some people enjoy endlessly scrolling through Douyin (TikTok), and when asked about what they have watched and whether they can share any insights, they draw a blank. Let's put it this way: what can a child gain from constantly using Douyin? Living life consumed by Douyin can lead to tragedy.
My brothers and sisters must understand that I have discussed the topic Be a Wise Person on numerous occasions. However, it seems quite challenging for people to truly become wise. Where does this topic originate? It comes from Matthew, Chapter 25. After guiding everyone through this chapter, I felt somewhat unsatisfied because I was extremely tired and weary that day, barely managing to get through it. Today, I am revisiting Matthew 25, essentially re-preaching it under the title Be a Wise Person.
I often say that there are two types of books: scriptures which are highly condensed summaries of the laws governing the development of things. The Bible is a remarkable book, and studying it diligently is essential for becoming wise. However, are there other scriptures that can impart wisdom? I believe so. For example, reading many books from the Qing Dynasty might make you incredibly clever in matters of corruption, but that kind of cleverness is not very useful.
The wisdom we speak of today adheres to the standards of the Kingdom of Heaven. A wise person in the Kingdom of Heaven is one who clearly puts the words of the Bible into practice. For example, in Matthew 7:24: Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. This is quite interesting. Therefore, Chinese Mingding Destiny is inseparable from Matthew 7:24. The other type of book we call Treatise, which discusses how to implement the scriptures. Most of my sermons fall under the category of treatises, discussing how to be a wise person according to the standards of the Bible. Human history is a record of wise and foolish people, and a person's wisdom or foolishness determines the outcome of their life.
For example, the Bible records Noah and the people of his generation. Noah was a wise man, while the people of that generation were foolish. Why? They were eating, drinking, planting, building, marrying, and giving in marriage, but when the flood came, they were swept away. That was the end of their lives, while Noah's family took refuge in the ark. If you read the Bible carefully, you will know that they did not immediately enter the ark when the flood came, but rather they prepared and entered it several days in advance.
The process of entering the ark was a spectacle of that generation. Everyone watched as if it were a zoo, seeing pairs of tigers, lions, elephants, sparrows, peacocks, flying and running creatures all lined up to enter the ark. It was an extraordinary human spectacle, yet people did not understand what was happening and continued with their usual activities. As a result, once the door of the ark was closed, it was over, and there was no chance to enter. If you do not enter when the door is open, you cannot enter once it is closed.
Human history records people's wisdom and foolishness. In the time of Abraham, Abraham was remarkable. He led his nephew Lot, a wise Abraham and a foolish Lot. Lot's foolishness lay in his departure from Abraham. He did not realize that leaving Abraham determined his future. It was through Abraham that he had been blessed, but after receiving the blessing, he did not appreciate it. He thought he was very capable, so he left Abraham and went to Sodom. Later, he was left with only two daughters and a jar of wine, and he went to the mountains. It was a tragic situation, all his life's savings were burned up because all his investments and properties were in the city of Sodom.
Everyone needs to learn a lesson: how to be a wise person. As Christians, we should diligently study the Bible; if you are a Buddhist, you should diligently study the Buddhist scriptures; if you are a Muslim, you should diligently study the Quran; if you are in business management, you should diligently study business management. Everyone should diligently study their respective scriptures. That is my advice to you.
The history of the church, like human history, is intertwined with wisdom and foolishness. The history of the church is a history of continually lowering God's standards. They fail to implement the standards recorded in the Bible, consequently losing God's power. Can a church still be a church if it loses God's power? It cannot solve any problems, only making them more complicated. Today, let us consider why the church has lost God's power. For example, it cannot solve the problem of disease and claims that the church is just like that. This is like building an airplane that cannot fly and claiming that airplanes are just like that, which is foolish because it continually lowers the standard. Chinese Mingding Destiny is about restoring the standards in the Bible, simple and straightforward.
The history of the Old Testament Judaism is also a history of constantly lowering God's standards, which is extremely foolish. God's will is clearly stated in the Bible, but when a prophet comes to Jerusalem, he is killed; when another prophet comes to Jerusalem, he is killed again. Those who kill the prophets are very foolish. For example, these people killed Jesus, worshiped God in the temple every day, read the Old Testament, and knew that the Messiah was to come. They also knew that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem of Judah; they were full of knowledge. But when Jesus came, they saw Him open the eyes of the blind, make the lame walk, cleanse lepers, and raise the dead, yet they killed Jesus. What kind of mind is this? And when they killed Jesus, they said, His blood be on us and on our children! How foolish must one be to make such a poisonous oath!
As a result, in the entire history of mankind, the history of the Jews is the most tragic. Even our Chinese history cannot be described as tragic. If Li Bai and Du Fu were to write poems knowing the history of the Jews, the poems would definitely be tragic. During World War II, Hitler killed 6 million Jews. You cannot blame Hitler because these 6 million Jews made their own choices. In the end, the Jews lost their nation.
We need to reflect on what happened, which is that they were unwilling to implement the standards in the Bible. The reason they gave was, Who can do it? If you carefully observe the Christian world, there are many tricks. Some time ago, I received a video of some Christians opposing wearing masks during the epidemic. They said, I cannot breathe when I wear a mask. Someone being knelt on the neck cannot breathe, that is true, but how can wearing a mask prevent you from breathing? This is foolish to an absurd degree. They even claimed to be Christians. I thought, how foolish! Can't breathe with a mask on? We must begin to learn to be wise, shall we?
Scripture
“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any extra oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ “ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ (Matthew 25:1-12)
We must not discern good and evil in this passage, saying, God, why are you so ruthless? They were just a little late, and you don't even recognize them. Why don't you just open the door for them? It sounds like you are defending these five virgins. But the principle of the Kingdom of God is like this: Do not argue with God. You can argue with me, saying that what I say is wrong, but do not argue with God. These are the rules that God has set.
Prayer
Today, let us pray: God, give us this wisdom in our hearts today; Lord, let our brothers and sisters all become wise people, preparing oil in their vessels in advance, waiting for your day; Lord, give us sufficient time to prepare ourselves; when the trumpet sounds, God, may we all be wise virgins before you, able to enter and sit with you at the banquet. Lord, we do not want you to say one day that you do not know us; give us wisdom today and understanding, let your words be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us on the road ahead, let us be wise virgins before you all our lives. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!
The First Characteristic of a Wise Person: Preparation
Everyone needs to know that everything must be prepared for. For example, when we do renovations, we must have a plan. If I want to make a cabinet, I must buy the boards. After buying the boards, I don't have a saw, so I go and buy a saw. A month passes by the time I buy the saw. After sawing the boards, oh, I don't have a drill or screws, so I go and buy a drill and screws. Another three to five days pass. By the time I buy the drill and screws, oh, my wall is not ready yet ... The result is a chaotic mess.
What is there that you do not need to learn to prepare for? If you do not learn and prepare, and only know how to scroll through Douyin, you will eventually become a hopeless person. You will keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling until you turn into a fool. Then, when you cry out to heaven, it will not respond; when you cry out to earth, it will not answer. Who will you turn to? The reason why people's lives become tragedies is that their own actions bring it on.
Recently, we did a ministry. Over two months, we served a large group of people with chronic illnesses, serious conditions, and various long-term ailments. When we did this, a statement we made was quoted by others. We said, The reason we cannot solve these problems today is that we have not yet fully understood them. Some people wondered, Look at your church, you haven't even fully understood, how can I be healed? In fact, whether you are healed is a small matter; whether you get sick is a big matter. Why do people get such serious illnesses? There are reasons for everything. Don't think I'm talking about you; I'm including myself. People carve their own paths in life.
Recently, I shared an interesting short video in my family group. This video was sent in my classmate group. The video shows two people buying things at a supermarket. After they finish shopping and come out, they are stopped by a salesperson: We have a lottery draw here. They said, Lottery? That's great! One of them draws and wins two thousand dollars. He is happy, and the salesperson says, Why don't you add six hundred dollars and buy this Hetian jade?
This person adds six hundred dollars and buys a stone worth two thousand six hundred dollars. He is happy, thinking he has found a treasure today! The other person who did not participate in the lottery feels upset. Noticing this, the salesperson says, Don't be upset, you can draw one too! He also says, Only two people out of about two thousand can win this prize. As a result, he also wins two thousand dollars. The salesperson gets anxious and says, I can't lose any more money. Take this two thousand six hundred dollar jade for seven hundred dollars!
The ending is even more interesting. Later, they find out that the stone is only worth $30. These two people spent $600 and $700 respectively to buy stones worth $30, and they were happy for nothing. There was even a reporter filming there. After they left, the reporter interviewed the salesperson, How did you choose these people? The salesperson said, I just look for those who look silly and let them draw the lottery. The person who was fooled said, I was fooled, but why do you insult my character and say I'm foolish! They couldn't take it. But who told you to be so foolish?
We often do foolish things in life. We have a brother among us whose uncle is very interesting. This brother's aunt had a house, and when the house was demolished, it was exchanged for an apartment building. However, his uncle wanted to take possession of the house, so he broke in and renovated it. But the property ownership certificate is in someone else's name. You break in and renovate, putting your own money on someone else's walls, does that make the house yours? How foolish is that? Not long after, his uncle died suddenly of cancer. To make a long story short, what I'm saying is, how foolish can one be!
I have met many different kinds of people. Later, I researched something: At fifty, one knows the mandate of heaven! If you are still poor at fifty, you need to think carefully about how you have lived the past 40 years. In fact, it is caused by foolishness. Therefore, today, don't be foolish, you must be wise. What is there that does not need preparation? When you go to work, do you need to study at a university for four years? But many people are still useless after graduating from university because they only played in university. Is that preparation? That is not preparation. To go to work, you must prepare first. If you don't prepare, what are you going to do at work? Wait to be fired? Among the people I have met, there are many fools, so many that I am speechless.
Some time ago, I talked about a brother who bankrupts every company he works for. Two months ago, he was at a gambling company. He was not the general manager, just a programmer, but that company also went bankrupt. It seems like that is his fate. The problem is, what did he prepare for? I don't know what he prepared for. He probably feels pretty wronged, I'm so unlucky, why am I so unlucky?
In this world, there is an invisible hand of God pushing things forward. I received a sister who shared a testimony called Escape from Death some time ago. She really escaped. She had a terrible illness and suffered a lot, spending a lot of money. Later, she recovered and came to me with her child. The child was delivered from evil spirits, and the child became very lovely. Not long ago, her husband went to buy a house. In Singapore, foreigners have to pay an extra 20% tax on buying a house. If it is a house of one million Singapore dollars, they have to pay two hundred thousand Singapore dollars in tax. They applied for permanent residence, and on the day they bought the house, they received their permanent residence cards, saving two hundred thousand Singapore dollars in tax.
Leaving aside the cost of breach of contract, they can save at least eight or nine hundred thousand yuan. Did this sister have the qualifications to get a green card? In fact, the conditions of her and her husband are not good, but she had a key condition, which is that this sister narrowly escaped death in the past year and worked hard to love God and serve God. You need to know that there is an invisible hand controlling people's fate. This is what I say, but you don't have to believe it!
If you want to be wise, you have to prepare. What do you prepare? If you expect Jesus to recognise you when He comes again, don't you need oil in your lamp? I find it strange that many people, like the five foolish virgins, only get anxious when they find out that the Lord is coming back. My lamp has no oil, can you give me some? They don't give it to them, and then they discern good and evil, thinking, How can people be so bad? But the problem is, why didn't you prepare yourself? Then I'll pray quickly? It's useless because the Lord doesn't know you.
Because preparing this oil and managing the lamp well is your responsibility. You can't pass your responsibility on to God. God wants wise people. There are only wise people in the kingdom of heaven, no foolish people. Even if you are a virgin, God does not want the foolish. You say, God! Lower the standards a bit! God says, I can't lower the standards! Why are you arguing with God? You can't fight against Him. The road to the kingdom of heaven needs to be prepared.
I meet Christians who don't prepare all the time. They say, I have already been saved by grace, and I can go to heaven when I die. I don't need to prepare anything. Think about it, it's not that these five foolish virgins didn't have lamps in their hands, but that there was no oil in their lamps, and they didn't prepare extra oil. They were just virgins! Many people are not even as good as virgins! They don't even have a lamp in their hands, let alone prepare oil.
Do you think Jesus can recognise you? Presumptuously saying that you were baptised and saved by grace in a certain year, what does that count for? It counts for nothing. There is a doctrine called once saved, always saved. That is pure nonsense! If you want to cling to this concept, then cling to it. When Jesus says, I don't know you, you will regret it and go to your pastor for answers. By then, your pastor may not even know where he is. So we must know that everything needs to be learned and prepared. Learning to prepare is itself a wise reaction. We have a lamp in our hands, and we must also prepare extra oil. If you have a mobile phone, and you need electricity for a long time, you must also prepare for a power bank!
When the bridegroom has not come, what is the mindset of people? Oh, it's too early, let's talk about it later, there is plenty of time, it doesn't matter. If you do that, you won't have another chance. If you don't have a chance, you're in trouble. So, when people shout, The bridegroom is coming! It's too late to prepare! Some people are also waiting for the bridegroom, and they only prepare when they hear people say, The bridegroom is coming! How do you prepare then? There is no time!
You say, I have to go to work, and only then do you think of studying. Where is there time? It's too late! For example, we have passed eight months of the epidemic. What did you do while staying at home? What did you prepare? Actually, I don't care if you read more Business Management, The Art of War, Guanzi, anything is fine! No matter what it is, it can make people wise. People should prepare themselves well, don't wait until the epidemic is over, and you can go to work, only to find that the pressure is too great. That's because you are stupid. Can you work like this? So, can we not prepare when we walk the road to the kingdom of heaven?
What is the lamp? What is the oil? The lamp is the spirit, and the spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord. If our inner spirit is strong, our lamp will be bright; if our inner spirit is weak, our lamp will be dim. What is our inner oil? It is the word of God, the Spirit of God. For the spirit of man to prosper, it is necessary to eat the word of God. When the spirit of man eats the word of God, it will prosper greatly.
Before the epidemic, I went to Taiwan to visit a sister. She is not a scholar, but a martial artist, with high martial arts skills. She opened a TCM clinic, doing massage and other things. She started following us and believing in the Lord. Before, she believed in the Lord in a confused way, no one cared, and she just believed. Don't many churches do this? Go to church to worship, but they don't know what the word of God says. When she came among us, we also asked her to do her homework. She was very serious and put all her martial arts skills to use. She worked very hard, getting up early in the morning to do her homework. At first, it was very difficult for her to write, she was so overwhelmed that I was worried that she would collapse because of doing her homework. But she didn't collapse because it was the word of God.
When she ate the word of God, at the end of the month, her income doubled! After a while, her income increased again. Our brothers and sisters must be wise people, the word of God is too miraculous. The word of God nourishes our spirit, and our spirit prospers. When people are prosperous in spirit, healthy in body, their business will prosper, and everything will prosper. If you read the Bible carefully, you will find that those spiritual people, Jacob and Joseph, are all people who prospered in spirit. People who prosper in spirit do so not because of other things, but because they eat the word of God. Don't be misled by something called speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is the smallest of all gifts because it is only the beginning. Of course, if you can't even open the beginning, everything else is empty.
Finally, be fully aware of God in your understanding, read the word of God, let our spirits prosper, let us become wise in our understanding, and be a wise man. That is amazing! Therefore, preparation is in the word of God, understanding it thoroughly, eating the word of God into our spirit, our spirit will be bright, and the lamp will not go out. So you say, can this thing be divided? No, it can't be divided. If you ask me to share something from my brain with you, I can't give it to you. It's not like inserting a wire into your head and inserting a wire into my head, like a computer, connecting a USB drive and copying it over, it's not like that, it takes some effort.
The word of God must be well prepared. What prevents us from preparing is the entanglement and worries of the world. If a person works hard for the things of the world, it is very hard. Why? Because their spirit is dying. It is really terrible if a person's spirit does not prosper. Some time ago, when I was leading prayer, I felt very sad. I was saddened by the fact that many Christians do not know the word of God in their understanding. God said, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. People cannot be ignorant. If people do not trust God when they are young, and they scroll through Douyin when they are idle, they will scroll through it until they are old. What are you going to scroll through when you are old? You will be scrolling into Alzheimer's disease when you are old. So I think we must make wise choices!
My mother passed away, right in front of my camera. Although it was a peaceful and calm departure, I have a deep regret. If only my mother had diligently sought God's word when she was younger and become a wise person, would she have suffered from Alzheimer's? Wouldn't that have saved her the time spent with Alzheimer's? People get Alzheimer's because their understanding is not clear. So, after playing mahjong and smoking for so many years, she still suffered in the end. Thankfully, she had a son like me who constantly and forcefully urged her to study God's word. That was already better than being in a state of ignorance, but I still feel deeply moved. If my mother, after returning from the brink of death time and again, could have started to awaken, shouldn't she have strived to pursue God? Absolutely! My regret is that when people reach an age of physical decline, they may not even be able to strive anymore. But I believe she tried her best to do something.
Have we truly prepared today? Have we truly become wise people? Is our spirit truly thriving? If a person's spirit is not thriving, they will surely be unlucky. Do you want to be a foolish virgin, a foolish person, or a wise person? Do you want your spirit to thrive, or do you want your spirit to be quenched or barely alive? This is your choice, perhaps the most important choice of your life. Prepare quickly!
In the temple, in the Holy of Holies, there are golden lampstands and lamps. The priests who manage and operate the temple are to manage the lamps, keeping them always lit. Why must people constantly add oil? How troublesome. With such small oil bowls, wouldn't it be better to have a large oil tank outside? A large truck could come, connect a pump, and it would never run out. How automatic that would be! But that is not how God does it. God designed the lamps with small bowls, and the priests are busy adding oil little by little. God wants us to diligently tend to His lamps in this way. We are not to consume God's word all at once; we are to consume it at all times.
Blessed is the one who delights in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.(Psalm 1:1:3)
It is explained very clearly in Psalm 1. This is God's word, God's design. Do not be lazy. It's like a child who is hungry. Didn't they eat their fill last year? If they ate their fill last year, they won't be hungry this year. Isn't that nonsense? When was the last time you read the Bible? Last year. If you ate a meal last year, you wouldn't need to eat this year? Not to mention last year, if you ate a meal last month and don't eat this month, you will lose your life. Today, we must be wise and diligently read God's word, and you will surely become a blessed person. Whether you want to be a blessed person depends entirely on whether you believe or not.
The Second Trait of a Wise Person: Faithfulness
Next, I will talk about the second point of wisdom, which is faithfulness—faithfully managing what God has entrusted to you. In Matthew 25:14-30, it tells a story we all know. The master was going abroad and called his servants to entrust his property to them, giving them five talents, two talents, and one talent according to their abilities. The one who received five talents immediately went and traded with them and gained another five. The one who received two talents did the same and gained another two. But the one who received one talent went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money. Later, the master returned. The one who had received five talents said, 'Master, you entrusted me with five talents; I have gained another five.' The master said, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.'
You must understand that management is clearly written in the Bible, and you must be a manager. Then the one who had received two talents said, 'Master, I have gained another two!' The master said, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' But the master did not say this to the one who had received one talent.
Brothers and sisters, learn well from those who managed the five and two talents. Faithfulness is very important. What is faithfulness? Faithfulness is managing well what God has entrusted to you. If people focus on why they only received two talents while others received so much, and they really want to discern good and evil, there could be many reasons. Anyway, identifying good and evil is easy. Even if someone says you are a flower, you would feel like they are scolding you.
So, no matter how much God gives us, managing it well is key. Some people attend prestigious universities, some attend second-rate ones, and some haven't even had an education. But none of that matters. What matters is that you use your conscience and common sense to manage well what God has given you. In fact, Christianity today needs to return to its essence and common sense. Many Christians, after reaching a certain point, no longer manage well the things in their hands but engage in strange things. What does it mean to manage well? A wise and faithful person will surely manage well what God has entrusted to us.
What does it mean to manage well? It means to increase its value and growth. Five thousand becoming ten thousand is not doubling it? Two thousand becoming four thousand is not doubling it? You must understand that the concept of increasing value is very important. Many brothers and sisters in our midst, their salaries initially increased from five thousand to seven thousand, and later from ten thousand to twenty thousand. I feel very happy, even if the money doesn't come to me, because it is my ministry that made them grow, and they will return to God and receive rewards in the future.
Originally, someone was in a bad state, but I put a lot of effort into them, and they grew, from five thousand to ten thousand. Therefore, whatever God entrusts to us, whether it is five thousand talents, five people, fifty people, or whatever, we must increase its value. Some people say that the risk is too great. If my business loses money, what will I use to account for it in the future? I will have nothing left! Why would you lose money? If you are a wise person, like the five wise virgins, doing everything well and preparing well, how could you lose money? Shouldn't you earn more?
There is something inside people that doesn't want to do things well, doesn't want to be wise, doesn't want to prepare, doesn't want to examine, and doesn't want to explore. They just want to pray with five thousand dollars and receive another five thousand through prayer. Doesn't that make them like a fox spirit? They don't want to learn or do things correctly.
In fact, everything has its rules. If you are wise in preparing, like the wise virgins, you will surely grasp these essences, and you will be wise. I often see many impatient people who launch satellites before preparing properly. They press the button and create fireworks in the sky. Can impatience work? Always eager to achieve quick success, not being grounded, not preparing well, and not wanting to pay the price, how can you be faithful?
What is faithfulness? Faithfulness is focus. Showing loyalty is useless. Faithfulness is a focus. If you give me something, I will manage it well. Managing it well is called faithfulness. I once tested someone: If someone gave you one million Singapore dollars, what would you do with it? He said: First, I would use one-third to buy a house, one-third to save, and one-third to start a business. In fact, he hadn't researched it; he just came up with it off the top of his head. Many people do that. Why one million? Because one million is not a small or large amount; it's not enough to do anything big, but you can do something. Even if you invest one million in one thing, the amount is still not enough. What can you do if you divide it into three parts? You can't do anything. That's not focus.
My greatest characteristic is that I am very focused when doing things. I am absolutely faithful to God. I constantly understand God's will and be a faithful person. As long as God entrusts me with something, I will never give up. Our church's development to what it is today is not because of anything else, but because of my focused and faithful character. Since God has entrusted it to me, there is no need to find anyone else. Faithfulness is a very important quality of wisdom. If a person wants to be wise, they must be focused. If you give me one million, I will only do one thing and do it well. As long as God gives me these things, I will manage them well. Managing well the talents God has given me, managing well my finances—every penny God gives me, I must manage well! I will manage well the sheep God has entrusted to me. This is my faithfulness.
Those who rely on God will not be put to shame. That is true faith, which is demonstrated in doing practical things. For example, Jacob tended sheep for his Uncle Laban, and his uncle repeatedly deducted his wages. But Jacob's sheep did not lose their young, and when the sheep became pregnant and gave birth, he took good care of them. He endured wind and dew, cold at night, and sun during the day. But the number of sheep multiplied. Whose sheep were they? They belonged to his Uncle Laban, not his. As a result, he was faithful in other people's affairs, and God entrusted him with his own affairs to manage. That is a wise person!
Brothers and sisters, when you work in other people's companies, shouldn't you prepare yourself well? Sometimes I get annoyed. A sister suddenly quit her job. I asked her why she quit. She said there was nothing good to do. In fact, she was doing something called influencer management. Two years ago, the influencer management industry was a sunrise industry and extremely popular, but she quit to do something else.
I said, How can there be nothing good to do? Can you do what your boss does? She said, No. Then how can you say there is nothing good to do? Even today, I am still training her. She just can't do things practically. When you work in someone else's company, you should treat it as if you are working for yourself. I ask, Will you grow? You will definitely grow. If God entrusts you to manage His things, and you manage them well, God will surely give you what belongs to you. During the process of doing things, you must become wise and manage well the things God has given you.
I often say some true things. Once, a sister called me and said her grandmother was looking for me. Her grandmother had left the church several years ago. I said, Put your grandmother on the phone. Her grandmother told me that she was in pain all over and asked if I could pray for her. A fire rose up in my heart, and I said, Isn't anyone serving you? She said no, so I prayed for her, and the pain disappeared.
Now the question arises, where is her grandson? Isn't her grandson still in our church? Have we done our best to manage what we should manage? No! Don't make a mistake: what God will give us to manage in the future is what we are doing now. We will have to give an account to God in the future! Are you a lazy and wicked servant? So I feel anxious. I don't want you to become that lazy and wicked servant. I don't want you to become those five foolish virgins. I hope you can become a wise person. Even if I preach every day and often give you pointers, if it can help you become wise, how wonderful would that be!
What truly belongs to you is in heaven. Heavenly blessings come through earthly things. Although you are managing things that are not yours, if you manage the things on earth that don't belong to you well, God will give you many heavenly things to manage in the future. Jesus Christ will lead us to manage the new city of Jerusalem!
If a person prepares themselves well and manages everything God has entrusted to them well, how amazing would that be! God gave me a mother with Alzheimer's, and I patted my chest and said to God, I have managed well what you have entrusted to me. My mother has passed away, and I miss her very much. I feel very sad, but one thing I do not regret is that I managed my mother well. I kept her from suffering a lot.
We must often reflect on ourselves. Have we managed well the things God has given us? If we don't dare to invest and take risks in things that are not our own, how can we grow? How can we exercise the function of faith within us? Faith lies in the management of risk. Will you be those who are thrown into the darkness, or will you be the faithful and good servants in God's eyes?
Don't make excuses, whether it's 1000, 2000 or 5000. Excuses are useless. A person has a wrong understanding of God because they have not prepared and do not understand God's word. Not knowing God, they think that God is a stingy God, gathering where he has not scattered and reaping where he has not sown. Is God such a God? Our God is not such a cruel God. Our God is a good God, our God is a God who blesses us.
Therefore, if you have a deep preparation in God's word, you will surely be a blessed Christian. Today, will we be wise or foolish? If you are wise, often prepare yourself in God's word and constantly implement God's word, you will surely earn 5000 from 5000 and 2000 from 2000. Not only that, but God will also take the 1000 and give it to you. Why? Because you are at the top of the pyramid.
This is called winner takes all. Whether it is a company, a church, or anything else, it is the same. This is the law established by God, called the Matthew Effect. If you are at the top of the pyramid, be the top Christian; build a church, build the top church. God will take the 1000 and give it to us. Do you think you will still be poor? You will not be poor at all.
The Third Trait of a Wise Person: A Wealthy Mentality
The end of Matthew 25 talks about when the Son of Man comes in his glory, with all his angels, he will sit on his glorious throne. God will gather all the nations before him, separating the sheep from the goats, placing the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. He will throw the goats into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels, and the sheep will enter into eternal life. This is not a joke.
Both sheep and goats represent Christians, but some will inherit the kingdom of God and be blessed by the Father, while others will be thrown into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Can everyone understand this? The title Christian does not guarantee that you will go to heaven or gain eternal life. It is not that believing in Jesus will guarantee eternal life. You must be a wise Christian.
What is the difference between sheep and goats? The difference lies in whether they have a wealthy mentality and whether they can love each other in Jesus Christ. What does it mean to love each other? Love is not about taking; love is about giving! A wealthy mentality determines a person's life. I often think about why some people are dirt poor when they are over fifty, while others live well? The difference is a wealthy mentality.
A wealthy mentality determines how much one can give. How can a blessed person not have a wealthy mentality? How can a person with a wealthy mentality not be blessed? Why are the sheep separated to the right? Because they keep and follow God's word, and they have a wealthy mentality within them. Five thousand becomes ten thousand, and ten thousand becomes twenty thousand. How can they not be wealthy? After becoming wealthy, they constantly give. Why does 5000 become 10000? Because they are willing to invest. If you bury it in the ground, you can keep it for yourself. So, today we must know that the essence of love is giving!
Today, brothers and sisters, you must know that if you love God, you must shepherd God's flock. Many people say they don't know how to shepherd. In fact, shepherding is not a profound thing. Shepherding is simply supporting those who are weaker than you. That is, in Jesus Christ, there is the least of the brothers. Anyone is more powerful and stronger than him. Anyone can bless him, and anyone can support him. It's as simple as that. We make the weakest one continuously molded and shaped in the church, growing up and no longer being the weakest, but becoming the greatest.
Our healing and deliverance today is because we cannot bear to see our brothers and sisters continue in pain. Why are we sometimes very strict in dealing with people's flesh and their bad habits? It is because we don't want them to be in pain anymore. This is love.
In the process of shepherding, we continuously explore and invent a series of shepherding tools, hoping that the least can continue to grow and no longer be the least. They can not only grow up but also serve those who are the least. Today, among all of us brothers and sisters, I believe that you are not the least, but why can't you become someone who shepherds others? If you can't bless others, can't you bless your own family?
How difficult is this? It's just that I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in; I needed clothes, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you looked after me; I was in prison, and you came to visit me. It's not that he owes 3 million and you fill a 3 million hole for him. No, there's nothing that big.
If you are hungry, give him something to eat. If you are thirsty, give him something to drink. If he doesn't have clothes, give him clothes. That's not much. A person with a wealthy mentality, a person with a compassionate heart, will surely do this according to God's word. That is common sense. There is a saying in English, Common sense is not common. This sounds difficult to understand, but returning to common sense is not difficult. These things are so simple, and they immediately divide Christians into sheep and goats.
Are you a goat or a sheep today? Don't wait until God throws you into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels to say, Oh no, how did I get here? Don't wait until God separates you into the goat group on the left to say, Oh no, why am I in the goat group? If you are not a goat, what are you? Who have you shepherded? Who have you served? Have you built up those who are weak and need service? Oh no, I don't have the opportunity to serve! If you can't even see the opportunity to serve, what are you doing?
God often tests us, often examines us. Do not be thrown into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, nor into the eternal fire and eternal punishment. Whether you are blessed or cursed is placed before us! The human heart is as deep as the sea, but it cannot deceive God! I once had some very puzzling things. There were two brothers who were very skilled, but it took them nine months to find a job. Those who were not very skilled had already found jobs.
I said, God, how could this be? Later, I realized that God does not misjudge people. They simply do not have a Mingding Destiny. I want to summarize a rule: To be a wise person, you must first learn to prepare and then learn to give, because we have a wealthy mentality. Why are we wealthy? Because we are blessed. Why am I blessed? Because we often read God's word. God's word is within us, and our spirit thrives. God's word is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. How can we not be blessed!
We meditate on God's word day and night. How can we not be blessed? Becoming wise starts with reading and implementing God's word. Then everything we do has a return. Those who take 5000 earn 5000, and those who take 2000 earn 2000, becoming faithful people. Because faithful people constantly share God's love, it may not be 5000 at first, it may just be 5, but if you make 5 from 5, you can share it. If you make 50 from 50, you can share it! Be a giving person. This is Mingding Destiny. Because in the kingdom of God, everyone has Mingding Destiny!
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Matthew 25:34)
Brothers and sisters, do not turn a blind eye and do not pretend not to see the needs of others. Start constantly looking for needs, do it for the least of the brothers, and share God's love. You will surely be a blessed person. May God bless everyone!
