Whether One Is Cursed Depends on Who You Are

Let us address a misconception, the misconception of curses. I often hear people say: Don't curse me. I am a person who enjoys conducting investigations and research, so I looked into how curses are spoken of.

Interestingly, the results of my research surprised me. What were these results? Curses are God cursing people, not people cursing people. Does the Bible ever mention people cursing people? Paul said that if anyone preaches a different gospel, let him be accursed. Is this a person cursing another person? Not really.

So, what does this mean? God was originally going to curse such things. My research results are as follows: in Numbers chapter 23, there was a prophet named Balaam. He wanted to get benefits from Balak, the king of Moab, so he set up altars to see if God would curse the Israelites. What was the conclusion? Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.

In other words, whether or not one is cursed depends on who you are. If a person is not Jacob, does not have Jacob's Mingding Destiny, nor Jacob's attributes, even if he is a Christian, he still lives under a curse. This is why, after Numbers chapter 1 to chapter 23, many Israelites died in the wilderness. What is a curse related to? It is related to disobeying God's word. If a person is Jacob, no one can curse him through magic.

We must know that who said something unpleasant, who cursed me... these are worldly customs, and worldly customs are very powerful. Do we Christians believe in worldly customs or in God's word? This is a matter of life and death.

As far as I know, some people rely on raising ghosts to curse others, and some people practice magic, such as crafting a doll and writing the victim's birth date on it, and then stabbing it with needles. Will something happen to the victim? Yes, because this is something happening in the spiritual realm.

The workings of the spiritual realm can do many things in the world. Why do people do these things? Because people want to gain their own benefits. But it is easy to invite a god but difficult to send him away, and it is easy to invite a ghost but difficult to send it away! If you have asked a ghost to do many things for you, what will happen afterwards? These ghosts will also come to mess with you. Ghosts are not something to play with. Today, our brothers and sisters do not have enough knowledge of the spiritual realm. If we have enough knowledge of the spiritual realm, we will know that evil spirits can create many problems.

The key is that many Christians have this misconception that someone cursed them by saying something. If we are Jacob, no magic can work on us. If we are Israel, no divination can harm us. The key issue is not whether people use witchcraft, magic, divination, sticking needles into dolls, casting spells, etc. Being a Christian is a great grace, that nothing can harm you.

Fear God, Not Curses

Balaam sought to curse the Israelites, but failed. He built three altars and invoked the name of the Lord three times, yet to no avail. Subsequently, Balaam devised a sinister scheme: if the Israelites sinned, the curses would befall them. In essence, if Christians sin, divine curses will ensue. What devious plan did Balaam propose to Balak? He arranged for women to seduce the Israelite men, leading them to debauchery within the Israelite camp.

Following this licentiousness, an intriguing issue arose: the wrath of God descended, calamity struck, and many Israelites perished. Thus, all curses originate from God and are intrinsically linked to Him. Today, we must not fear curses, but rather God, for He is the crux of the matter. Once we dispel this mystification, the pivotal question becomes: who do we aspire to be? Are you like Jacob, yearning to be a person with Mingding Destiny?

Those with Mingding Destiny are not easily susceptible to curses. Some may claim: “I cannot remain in this place; I must seek a blessed land.” However, the blessedness of a location is not the defining factor; rather, whether you are a blessed individual is paramount. If one is not blessed, no destination will suffice. Let us eradicate such fallacies. As for those who seek to cast hexes upon you, it is inconsequential, for they are powerless.

Should one curse you, examine Genesis 12 closely, including God’s subsequent promises to Isaac and Jacob, which encompass both blessings and curses, articulated with utmost clarity:

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. (Genesis 12:3)

This was God’s declaration to Abraham, reiterated to Isaac and Jacob. God’s words to Jacob are particularly striking: those who curse Jacob, God will curse; those who bless Jacob, God will bless.

May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you; be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed. (Genesis 27:29)

At this juncture, whether you are an Isaac, a Jacob, or an Abraham is intrinsically linked to your susceptibility to curses. We must emerge from such mystifications, not fearing curses, but rather examining whether we are individuals with Mingding Destiny. Some may observe: “Look, so-and-so is doing quite well.” However, curses require time to ferment. Therefore, one must not presume to assess the situation based solely on the present moment.

For those with Mingding Destiny, many matters will resolve themselves readily. Should you then fear curses? Should you fear hexes? Should you fear such absurdities? Absolutely not. There is no need to dread such things.

The mystification of those who curse others is a widespread phenomenon. Fortunately, we find recourse in the Scripture, alleviating our fear of curses. Regardless of the pronouncements of curses upon you, they shall be ineffectual. Even if Balaam, the most renowned prophet of his time, were to attempt it, he would fail. The crux of the matter lies in whether we are Jacobs, Abrahams, and Isaacs with Mingding Destiny. I trust you will experience these things firsthand in due course.

If someone asserts: “Why does his curse affect me? Since he cursed me, many of my affairs have faltered.” There is but one explanation: it is because you are not an Abraham, an Isaac, or a Jacob. Let us pause here. May God bless you all!
