Introduction

Good morning. Today, we will discuss The Foundation of Faith Series (4): From Faith to Faith. We have covered several foundations previously. The first was Re-examining Life and Death, the second was It is the Spirit That Gives Life, and the third was Man Shall Live by Every Word That Proceeds out of the Mouth of God. These are axioms, which do not require proof. Every discipline has its own set of axioms, which one either accepts or rejects. Today, we will discuss the fourth foundation, From Faith to Faith.

Whether you choose this foundation or that foundation, it is a matter of personal choice. Today, you can choose to see through life and death, or you can choose not to. You might say, I just don't want to see through it, and that is a choice. As for why you choose that way, you may not even understand it yourself. I tell you, it is the spirit that gives life. You might say, No, it is the flesh that gives life. That is also a choice. I say, Man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. You might say, No, can that be eaten? Man lives by food; man is iron, and food is steel. Neither of these can be proven, because you cannot prove them, and each can be self-justifying. The worldly live in self-justification, but it is merely a choice.

Why do I say this is merely God's election? Whether God did not choose or we did not choose, no one can say for sure. One thing we can be sure of is, why did we choose this way? He just chose that way, and there is no way to explain it. I am not trying to persuade you; if you expect me to persuade you, then forget it. Whether a person chooses this or chooses that, whatever you choose, you pay the price for your choice. If you live for money, then making money becomes the most important thing in your life, and no one can touch it. If anyone touches your money, you will fight them to the death. People often say they cannot control themselves, but that is because they have their own logic, wouldn't you agree?

Someone was cheated out of a lot of money. Why were they cheated? Because they had a boyfriend who used their credit card, and they ended up paying it off themselves, and still owe a lot of money today. They said, I couldn't control myself, it just happened. What kind of thinking is that? I said, Give me your credit card, and I will use it. Oh, no! How can they control it then? People know everything, even those with dementia. If you try to take money from them, it is very difficult. Try it and see. When it comes to giving out red envelopes during Chinese New Year, people with dementia become very active and not at all confused. This is people's choice.

Whatever a person chooses, they pay the price for it. The most tragic thing in this world is to choose this one moment and that the next, to lie down one moment and stand up the next. Wouldn't you be tired? That is like sit-ups, doing sit-ups your whole life. It is the same with COVID-19, one moment it is zero-COVID, the next moment it is living with the virus. Wouldn't you be tired? Of course, you would be tired! Brothers and sisters, let us choose one thing and stick to it. Whether you choose to believe this or believe that, it is merely a choice, and today none of us can persuade each other.

It is like Falun Gong. I go to Chinatown, and every time I go, Falun Gong is there handing out flyers. If I went every day, I would see them there handing out flyers every day. Years later, I went again, and they were still there handing out flyers, so earnest. I think people choose Falun Gong, and that is their choice. Christians are far behind them. You either choose this, or you choose that. All these things are from faith to faith. Theism and atheism are merely a choice. Theists do not prove the existence of God, and atheists do not easily prove the non-existence of God. We are Christians who believe in Jesus Christ. Today, we are discussing The Foundation of Faith (4): From Faith to Faith. What do we believe in? We believe in the tenets of Christianity.

When we read the Bible, we should read it properly, and believe in what we believe in properly. Don't believe in this one moment and that the next. Whatever we do, we should do it well. One moment doing this, the next moment doing that, one moment relying on this, the next moment relying on that, wouldn't that be like being a traitor? When I preach, some people find it difficult and cannot understand it. What is so difficult about what I preach? What is there not to understand? The reason they cannot understand it is because they do not agree with it. Today, you must understand that agreement and disagreement are crucial. I often see people say, Pastor, your preaching is good! I agree with some of it, and I disagree with some of it. Why do people disagree? Because they agree with their own set of beliefs.

Later, I delved deeper and said, Let's discuss what you agree with and what you disagree with. But they could not explain it clearly. If they could, that would be good. At the end they have a logic that they can self-justify. But it is all merely a choice, many things are merely a choice. For example, if we are humiliated, whether we are hurt or not is a choice. Choice is important. Whether you value this or value that, it is merely a choice. It is like some of us like to eat durian, and some of us do not like to eat durian, it is merely a choice. You cannot really say why you like to eat durian. Such a smelly thing, yet some people enjoy eating it.

Some people say, Pastor, people are always borrowing money from me. Whether you lend money or not is in your pocket. You can choose to lend it, or you can choose not to lend it. Some people come to me to borrow money. If you are short of food or clothing, I will give you a hundred dollars or so to live on for another week, OK. But if you say you owe a million dollars, that is your problem, and I have no obligation to help you pay it back. How do I put it? I tell people directly, I do not have the habit of lending money to people. They say, But we are good friends. Well, being good friends cannot break my rule. You cannot force me to lend you money.

Then, can we still be friends? Whether we can or not, you cannot force me. This is my choice. I choose not to lend money to people, and I do not borrow money from people either. You might say, What kind of person are you? What I mean is: when you are short of food or drink, buying a bowl of noodles or something to eat, that is OK. But lending money to pay off gambling debts, forget it. In reality, everyone thinks their choice is very reasonable. Someone was cheated, and I said, Don't do it, you will definitely be cheated. He said, No, I want to do it. What can you do? In the end, he did it and was cheated. So, choice is unreasonable.

Today, I will use two brothers as an example, one named Esau and the other named Jacob. Their choices sometimes seem very unreasonable, but that is what they chose. What is this called? This is called fate. Sometimes I say, it depends on your fate, which is your choice. Esau and Jacob had the same grandfather, the same father, the same mother, the same growing environment, and the same education, but one chose spiritual things, and the other chose worldly things. Don't you find it strange? These two are twin brothers. Some people value this, and some people value that, it is hard to imagine. Can you say whose choice is reasonable? As I see it, they are all reasonable, they can all self-justify, and they all conform to their own logic.

Your choice is the same. You say, Oh God, why is this happening? I say, God wants to ask you, Why did you choose this way? In fact, Jacob's choice was not that reasonable. He had not been in a relationship at the age of seventy-five. What was he thinking? He had not met his true love. His parents were also quite interesting, they did not urge him to marry or to date. This family, with such a father, such a mother, and such a son, they were all strange.

After seventy-five years, Jacob finally obtained something: his father blessed him. We wonder: what is that? If one day you say, Pastor, can you give me something? I say, OK, how about I give you a blessing? After hearing it, it sounds like I am fooling you, doesn't it? But Jacob at the age of seventy-five, what he obtained was a word from his father. When we read the Bible, we also feel: can that be eaten?

As you know, this matter is interesting. Jacob was seventy-five years old, and his brother was also seventy-five years old, they were twin brothers. His brother wanted to kill him, so he left home and fled. He lost everything. He was a young master at home, his father was a wealthy man, but when this son left home, he had only a staff. Don't argue with me, the Bible doesn't say that; I am just telling it as a story.

Jacob did not bring a wallet. What kind of father was his father? And his mother too, they should have given him some gold, silver, jewelry, or valuable things to take with him. But they didn't. And they should have given him some donkeys and camels, that would have been good, but they did not, the Bible doesn't say. Where did he go? He went to his uncle's house. He was about to lose his comfortable life. What was he after? Before the age of seventy-five, God had not said a word to him. What was he after?

Jacob left home and passed through deep mountains and valleys, places where wild animals roamed, with lions roaring and wolves howling. The valleys were full of wild animals. It was quite miserable. Before, his pillows at home were all name brands, but now, he could only find a rock to use as a pillow, which was hard enough. Have you ever slept on a rock pillow? It was also angular and prickly. What was he after? It was just a choice. What people choose, they pay the price for! At this time, if you look at Jacob with human eyes, you will think: Oh, this person is cursed! Isn't that how many pastors preach? Jacob cheated people and was cheated, see, he deserves it, he deserves it.

Overnight, Jacob went from a wealthy second generation, a wealthy third generation, to a pauper, with nothing. Even when he slept, he had to use a rock as a pillow. You know, Jacob had a choice in his heart. His choice was, I don't want anything, I just want the covenant that my grandfather Abraham made with God, I just want the covenant that my father made with God, I just want God to say a word to me, I just want God to be with me! Do you think this is a reasonable choice? It is not that reasonable. But that is what he chose.

Jacob did not date or marry at the age of seventy-five, and then even left home, but he had no regrets. Think about it, if some of us were in his place, what would we think? Tell me what you would think. Oh! What am I after? I have become like this, it is too miserable. He really did not know what lay ahead, he did not know what the future would be like. You know, the Bible says something very sad. Jacob said to God:

If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear so that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my God (Genesis 28:20-21).

What kind of words are these? Having food to eat and clothes to wear, it sounds a bit strange, doesn't it? His demands had already been lowered to this level. What he was asking for was to be able to return to this place. I tell you, when he and his brother were young, three or five years old, able to understand human speech, one sat on Abraham's left thigh, and the other sat on Abraham's right thigh. Abraham would tell the two children stories about how God led him out of Haran. Don't look at your grandfather now. When I came out of Haran back then, I didn't know where to go! After coming to this place, God spoke to me and said that he would give this land to our family. Abraham said a lot: Do you know why Grandpa did this? Grandpa saw people being born and dying, being born and dying... and felt that life was not just about this!

His father Isaac was even more divine. He told them: When your grandfather was ninety-nine years old, your grandmother was pregnant with me. It was basically impossible to get pregnant at that age. God appeared to your grandfather and made a covenant with him and me. Later, when I grew up to be in my thirties, one day your grandfather tricked me into going up the mountain. I was walking with your grandfather, wondering why we had firewood, but where was the sheep? Your grandfather fooled me and said, 'God will provide.' Later, when we got to the mountain, your grandfather said, 'You are the sheep!' I was half-hearted at the time, and said, 'Why didn't you tell me earlier?' Your grandfather said, 'If I told you earlier, you would have run away, where would I have gone to chase you?' I said, 'Oh, I wanted to dedicate myself to God long ago!' What a pair of men!

Isaac told his son about dedicating himself to God, You know, when I dedicated myself to God, that was the most important decision of my life. Today I tell you, your father, I am blessed, it is so good to have God! As a result, Esau sat there, listening and falling asleep. He was doing what, a bag of chips in his left hand, a bottle of Coke in his right hand. There was no such thing in those years, I mean that's the idea. But Jacob did not feel good listening to this. Why? Jacob said I want this! If children don't want this, what do they want? Like Esau, listening, a bite of chips, a sip of Coke, eating and drinking, sometimes picking his toes, and then falling asleep. These are twin brothers.

Their mother, Rebekah, told an even more exciting story. You know, when I was with your grandfather and your uncles, I heard about Abraham and Isaac, and God making a covenant with them. Wow, he is the prince charming of my dreams! I have never even seen your father, and I don't know what he looks like. Rebekah did not say, As soon as I saw your father, your father was handsome! In fact, she was not after this. Rebekah said, Back then, your grandparents wanted me to stay for ten more days, but no! I can't wait, I must see the man of my dreams! Why? Because I want to obtain the covenant that God made with Isaac. Later, I followed the old servant... She told the story very well!

Jacob listened with fascination. Rebekah would tell Jacob these stories every day, and every few moments Jacob would ask his mother to tell him more. Esau thought, Can that be eaten? Give me a Coke, give me a bag of chips! That's probably it. Can that compare to fishing and hunting? 'Pa' throw the fishing rod down, 'Pa' a big fish comes up, that's so cool! Later, Rebekah was annoyed when she looked at her son Esau, because what Rebekah valued was different from what most of us value. Think about it, in the process of Jacob and Esau growing up, Rebekah did not go back to see her father. These people are not worthy of this world.

Rebekah, Isaac, and Abraham would all talk about how people live and then die. No! What do you mean, no? I have to seek God. Later, I found God. After hearing this, Jacob was overjoyed! In fact, what was Jacob seeking? It was very surprising—just a blessing! What Jacob was seeking was nothing more than the covenant made with God. Most people think, can that be eaten? People did not consider it as food; they considered it as destiny—this is the destiny of my life, this is the meaning of my life. I just feel that life is vanity of vanities, meaningless. Hunting, fishing, eating, drinking, and playing are all meaningless, if one cannot obtain the covenant with God, everything is vanity of vanities, completely nonsense.

So Jacob at the age of seventy-five, leaving home and going to the wilderness deep mountains, he had no regrets, because this is what Jacob wanted. Isn't it powerful? As a result, Jacob fell asleep on a rock, and God appeared to him. That appearance was just a dream, and most people, their reaction is, What kind of dream is this? Jacob's reaction was, This dream is good!

And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:13-15)

Many people read this and say, That was said to Jacob, what does it have to do with me? I tell you, when I believed in the Lord, I was different from many people I said, God, I want this too! Wherever you go, your God will be with you, wherever you go, God will protect me, lead me to the promised land, and will not leave me until God has accomplished what he has promised me. I want this!

So what a person wants, this is merely a choice. After wanting it, pay the price for it. Do you all understand now why my service is like this? Many people find that my service is quite different, quite special. Yes, how many Jacobs are there? But there is one of me, and the things we seek are different. Why? Because we have seen through the matter of life and death. Man does not live in these seventy or eighty years, these eighty or ninety years, these hundred or so years. Man lives in eternity, and the things we pursue are completely different. For what I have chosen, I am willing to pay any price! You can take anything you want, but you cannot take my God. And you cannot take him away, what would you do with him? To curse you? After Jacob woke up, it was amazing!

Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it. This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”（Genesis 28:16-17)

This place is the gate of heaven! In Journey to the West, there are South Heaven Gate and North Heaven Gate, right? This place can enter heaven and enter into the presence of God! This is the gate of heaven. Then he said：

and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God’s house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.”(Genesis 28:22)

What he was pursuing was not a millionaire, or a billionaire, or the richest man. The things he was pursuing, many people considered to be bizarre. I tell you, when you read the Bible, you have to see how people do it, and we do it the same way, what people want, we want the same way! This is imitation! This is a choice, a foundation. This is what we have been seeking for seventy-five years! Hearing his grandfather talk about it since he was a child, today he encountered it. After he woke up, this place was so awesome! He completely forgot that he was already a pauper.

A man with God does not care at all whether he is a pauper or not. He believes that with God, I have everything! This is his logic, this is his choice, as long as I have God, every problem can be solved! You will get the wind if you want the wind, and you will get the rain if you want the rain, because you have God! After insisting for seventy-five years, what he got was his father's blessing, what he got was God speaking to him. This is a person who is not worthy of this world! Faith is from faith to faith. He had never heard God speak to him in seventy-five years, but his pursuit of this matter pleased God!

Some people say, Look at Jacob cheating people, and cheating his brother out of the birthright, he was cursed, and he could not see his mother again, and he did not even go back to mourn when his mother died. Listen to what these pastors say, what they value is not what Jacob values at all. When Jacob left home, did he ever think: I can't go back to see my mother again? No. When Abraham left his father, he never thought of going back to see his father. He didn't go back to mourn when his father died either. Does that mean Abraham was cursed? Were Isaac and Jacob cursed? These are all very strange.

Some time ago, when we were talking about Genesis, a co-worker from a church came to us, and after listening, asked a bizarre question, which was the story of Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel, and he asked a question, which was, Abel being killed was cursed, why? What kind of question is this? Was Jesus killed under a curse as well? It is true that Jesus took on our curses. So brothers and sisters, a person who seeks eternal life will be that kind of person, a person who seeks this life will be that kind of person. Each has his own self-justifying reasoning, but it is just a choice! There is no way to persuade you.

A person seeking glory, honor, and the blessings of eternal life, that is a treasure in the eyes of God. God will reward you with glory and honor! This is from faith to faith! What else can it be besides faith? Because if a person wants this thing, even if a person falls to a very miserable point, only able to use a rock as a pillow, lying in the wilderness, there is no problem. Jacob did not ask why I have come to such a miserable end! It is all a matter of faith.

If you were to ask me, have I been to heaven? No, I have not. Have you been to hell? No, I have not. Then what is it that you believe in? From faith to faith. I will utter a rather bold statement: emulate me, for I emulate Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. At times, I share with everyone that I know the God I believe in is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. God's name is linked with Jacob's name, and I earnestly desire that in the future, God's name will be linked with mine as well. How wonderful would that be! To hear that God is his God is exceedingly wonderful!

Many people do not understand me. I do not indulge in feasting and revelry, do not watch movies, do not play mahjong, do not play games, do not fish, do not hunt. People say that my life is too dull, but they do not know what I am pursuing. The things I value are not valued by them, and the things they value are not valued by me. Many preachers have personal hobbies. When they go to a place, they first satisfy their personal hobbies. Once, the stage was filled with prominent pastors. My colleagues and I were listening from the audience. After listening, we asked: Pastor, what are your personal hobbies? One loves hunting, another loves sports cars; these are quite costly.

My colleague then nudged me with his elbow: Teacher, what are your hobbies? I pondered, what are my hobbies? I said, My hobby is to serve! I simply enjoy this. I do not feel tired even when serving every day, just like they play games, not feeling tired even playing every day. Some people serve until they develop brain tumors. Therefore, brothers and sisters, do not make the wrong choice! If you choose something, that is your destiny. Brothers and sisters, know that what you believe in is what you live for! Here is a glorious path: in the end, you will surely see God's glory!

What you believe in is what you pay the price for! Several years ago, some of our leaders said: Teacher, I resign. And then? I will come to the church to work. I said: Why are you coming to the church to work? He said: There is no why. This is what I live for, what else is there? Many of my colleagues live to serve. Some of my pastor friends would ask me, their age is not young, they neither marry nor date, you have to arrange for them. I said: They are female Jacobs, their pursuit is similar to Jacob's pursuit. If you ask them why? They say: There is no why, it is simply believing, this is our destiny, our choice. When they come to work, I am moved to tears for a long time, finally someone is running alongside me. Let us look at today's scripture.

Scripture

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)

Prayer

O God! Fulfill our desires today, manifest Your power among us, for this gospel is Your great power. O God! Bring a new round of Christian transformation in this generation, let the power of this gospel be restored once again, as in the days of the Apostle Paul. O God! Today, let us be able to follow the path chosen by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, from faith to faith, let us become righteous before You, You say the righteous will live by faith. O God! We are people of faith, we believe that man lives by every word that comes from Your mouth. O God! We believe that it is the Spirit that gives life, we believe that we are sojourners on earth, we seek a better, eternal homeland on earth. O God! Do this marvelous work among us today, raise up Your people, build Your glorious church, welcome Your return, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

The Theme of Romans

I once wrote a book called This Gospel is the Power of God. This was written many years ago when I examined Romans. At that time, I always felt it was already very good, but today I discovered that my understanding of Romans has entered a deeper level. This from faith to faith appears in this passage, so the gospel preached by the Apostle Paul is a gospel of faith, that is to say, from faith to faith is like our colleagues. If according to works, they have many faults, but many faults do not affect, do not hinder, because they all come with faith, they are walking on the road from faith to faith.

People have many faults, it is normal for those people to say that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have faults. Fortunately, they have faults, and fortunately, we have many faults, so we are from faith. If it were from works, it would be troublesome. Therefore, the theme of Romans mentions one thing: that God's righteousness is from faith to faith.

Many people, when reading this passage, understand God's righteousness as God is a righteous God, but in fact, when we connect the context, it is not good to explain it this way. According to my way of writing: The righteousness that God considers is revealed in this gospel. The righteousness that God considers is from faith to faith, just as it is written, the righteous will live by faith, thus it is connected. God's righteousness is the righteousness that God considers, not the righteousness that we consider. The matter of from faith to faith solves that this gospel is the power of God. When Jesus was on earth, He often criticized people for unbelief! Criticizing this unbelieving and rebellious generation. When Jesus was on earth, He rarely criticized people's behavior. When Jesus was on earth, He transcended many moral concepts.

The theme of Romans is about faith. Jesus did not perform many miracles in Nazareth, where He was born, not because Jesus could not perform miracles, but because He did not bother to perform miracles for these unbelieving people. Those people thought they had watched Jesus grow up since childhood, Jesus was a carpenter, and today He is preaching, thinking Jesus is deceiving, such people are difficult to see miracles. Jesus healed many blind and lame people, but there were still many blind and lame people in that generation who were not healed, not because Jesus did not want to heal them, but because they simply did not believe. If they did not believe, they could not receive it at all. Jesus said that in the years of Elisha, only Naaman, the Syrian general, was healed of leprosy. What was the reason why other lepers were not healed? Because of unbelief, so belief and unbelief are the root of many problems.

In Genesis chapters one to eleven, I wrote a book called Unbelief is the Root of All Problems. Therefore, when I minister, the first thing I talk about is to make people have faith. Because of faith, many problems will disappear very quickly. For example, a person is very weak after completing chemotherapy. Very normal, isn't it? Then how is it that as soon as he comes to me, he is no longer weak after praying? Isn't this strange? Later, he went for chemotherapy again, came back, all good! So I think, the fundamental problem today is belief or unbelief, belief will see the power of God, what is this power of God doing? The power of God is to deal with the evil deeds of the flesh. That is to say, the evil deeds of the flesh are the root of many problems.

A person who is in the flesh cannot please God, but by the Spirit, you can put to death the misdeeds of the body. You say today, Teacher, I can't control it! Yes, that's the thing. That thing is called the flesh. I can't control it, some people say to me, Teacher, as soon as you preach, I start to fall asleep, and then as soon as you say Amen, I immediately wake up. I said: Oh, you emulate me quite well! I used to be like that too.

Today, brothers and sisters, the fundamental problem is to put to death the misdeeds of the body. A person who is in the flesh will have many kinds of diseases. Look, this gospel is the power of God, to solve what? Can everyone keep up with my rhythm?

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (Romans 1:16)

Then saves everyone who believes, what does the power of this gospel solve? Solve the problem of a person's evil deeds of the flesh. Because a person who is in the flesh, his entire thing inside is centered around the flesh, that is, he lives in the flesh. Then the key to solving this problem is to remove the concepts inside us. A few weeks ago, a sister sent me several photos. The photos were of those who had problems with their lungs after being vaccinated. Those photos were evidence. As soon as I saw it, there was a problem, so I called her. As soon as I picked up the phone and heard it, it was over, she had difficulty breathing after just being vaccinated. Why? Because she was filled with a concept of the flesh.

Understand? The God I believe in is the God who gives life through the Spirit. What I believe in is not a concept of the flesh, what I believe in is a concept of the power of the Holy Spirit. Then I led her in prayer for a little while, and she was completely released, all better. The next day I was still worried if it would come back! It didn't come back. All better. Then the vaccine was still the vaccine that was given, the lungs were still the original lungs, the body was still the original body, how did it get better? This is the power of God. This power of God is to solve the problem of the flesh.

Today, brothers and sisters, you must carefully read the 《Bible》. Romans speaks clearly about the gospel. If you are still not clear, you can go back and read my book called This Gospel is the Power of God. What problem does this book solve? If you have read the entire book, in fact, Martin Luther did not understand it, thinking it is called justification by faith. Justification by faith is not the key to solving the problem. This gospel is the power of God that is the key to solving the problem. The theme of Romans is this.

So where is the key? The key is: this gospel is the power of God. What I want to explain is, the problem lies in whether we believe. If we believe, then it will be easy; if we do not believe, this power of the gospel is also useless in you, it cannot solve it. So, everyone must know: this faith is actually a choice.

Whatever You Do is From Faith to Faith

Whatever you do is from faith to faith, it's just what you believe in. There is a sister who we actually wanted to train her before, to teach her to do pastoral care, but she had no interest, she was interested in working. She felt, Can pastoral care be eaten? If I had said it before, could there be motivation! Can that be eaten!

In fact, no matter what, the development of science is also from faith. Any exploration of the future world is from faith. Because you don't know the unknown world yet. If you wait until you finish reading the 《Bible》 and then believe this gospel, isn't that troublesome! Of course, you will finish reading it one day, but when you haven't read it yet, don't you have to believe it! Science is also like this, it starts from faith. Any exploration of the future, of the unknown, is through faith. Without faith, nothing can be done, nothing can be done well. So today I am teaching that this gospel is the power of God. It is also through faith.

There is a sister who went to Canada and entered a church. She has lived a miserable life. Are you here today? If you are here, you have to listen to me. What I am talking about should be you. So miserable! As a result, that church completely does not believe in the power of God. The problem is that after they deleted these, they created their own 《Bible》. Is that still the gospel? I think there is a problem. But I guess he must have kept 《James》. He has eliminated the power of the gospel. What I mean is that this world is very strange, it does not like the power of God. Don't you think this is strange! Why did you delete this? I think people can draw on the power of God, it must start from faith. What kind of person do you want to be? Do you want to be a person of faith, or a person of no faith? Having faith or not having faith is just a choice.

Like this Jacob, he wants to pursue such things, he has been pursuing until he is seventy-five years old. These seventy-five years have been supported by faith. If he had given up at the age of seventy-four, then there would be no seventy-five years. So today, brothers and sisters, if you want to be a person of faith, persevere until you get things done. To be a resounding Christian, little by little, deal with the evil deeds of the flesh inside us by the Holy Spirit, and we will become more and more like Jesus. God is such a God. This is called doing everything with faith. Then today, if you are on the true doctrine of Jesus Christ, with such faith, from faith to faith, to believe in God's words, you will become a person the world is not worthy of.

Be a Person the World is Not Worthy Of

When you choose to believe, will you pay the price? You will pay the price. Did Jacob pay the price? He paid the price. At this time, he was on the mountain, using stones as pillows, with nothing! But he had a belief inside: As long as I have God. In fact, Jacob is not very interested in having anything. People the world is not worthy of are like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, because they have all belittled the things of the world. This thing in the world is also meaningless, that thing is also meaningless, nothing is meaningful.

When do you see Abraham talking about investment, business, being cheated by someone after investing, there is no such thing. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph don't have this thing, because they have all belittled and seen through the things of the world, so they have become people the world is not worthy of. Think about it, can the things of this world still make them uncomfortable? No. Will they live happily? Yes! Jacob has nothing, as long as he has God, he is not uncomfortable. You definitely don't understand, but it doesn't matter.

Today I have to tell you, the foundation of faith must start from 《Ecclesiastes》: Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. If you do not agree with vanity of vanities, and think that falling in love is so good, finding your true love, finding your Prince Charming, your Snow White, how wonderful that is, how flavorful life is! In the end, living and living becomes enemies. So see through life and death, understand seeking eternal life, seeking glory in eternity. Although I have not been to hell, nor have I been to heaven, but once we see through life and death, belittle the things on earth, and then you seek, you will definitely see the power of God, see the presence of God, just as God said to Jacob;

This is a person the world is not worthy of! Think about it, isn't it great to belittle the world? Great! Not belittling the things of the world is the reason why you are uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable is all because of these little shit things in the world. Vanity of vanities, can vain things make people uncomfortable? If you belittle it, don't take it seriously, it will not make you uncomfortable. You could live from yesterday to today, and you can live from today to tomorrow. Even if Jacob has nothing, only a stick in his hand and a stone under his head, he can see the sky open. This is the gate of heaven, all the resources of heaven are ours, think about how great this is. So Paul said:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God. (Romans 1:16)

Faith is Just a Choice

What exactly is faith? Believing is the easiest thing in the world, and it is also the most difficult thing in the world. For example, if you do a business and want to invest one million, you are still worried that the business will lose money, because making money and investing are risky. But what we are seeking today is honor, glory, believing in God's words, believing in God's promises, God's presence, without spending a penny, without effort, just a choice. You want to be a person the world is not worthy of because you use faith to choose to believe in God's word. Jacob believed he would receive it and waited for seventy-five years. If you say you can't choose, then forget it, don't choose. What do you want me to say? Some people say, Teacher, I can't choose, I don't know what faith is? I don't know how to believe. What does it mean not knowing how to believe? Some people say they don't know how to eat this thing, I said, Do you open your upper and lower lips and put this thing in your mouth? They definitely can, then they will eat it, aren't you doing this every day? Just choose like this, this is from faith.
