Introduction

Good morning! I am continuing with the Spiritual World series, and today's topic is The Spirit of Lies. The spirit of lies is incredibly potent. Do you know why? Once someone is deceived, you can only stand by and watch, like a spectator in a play. The most frightening thing in life is to live and die in falsehood, ending one's existence in vain. Living merely for the sake of living is the greatest lie, no different from animals.

Some people are blatantly deceived, losing tens, hundreds of thousands, or even millions. However, many deceptions are subtle, countless and cannot be thoroughly discussed. Last week, we talked about Esau being exhausted. When Esau felt exhausted, did he really believe he was working hard? Esau might say: Thank God! I hunted a wild boar weighing over two hundred pounds, carrying it back exhausted me.” What if he hunted an even larger boar, or a wild donkey? How would he carry it down the mountain? Difficult and tiring! He would still say: Thank God! It exhausted me. How could Esau know that he was living under a curse? He was ignorant.

In fact, Esau appears to be a model of a successful man; many envied him. In terms of martial prowess, he was unparalleled, capable of wielding Li Yuanba's hammer. Dragging a wild donkey and carrying a wild boar would naturally exhaust him. He was incredibly fast. Esau had four hundred warriors under his command, managing a business with thousands of people, possessing both wealth and influence. It was no joke. Because of his imposing stature, bravery, and prowess, he caught the eye of a local chieftain's daughter, leading to a romance. In our terms, he was a local overlord. His father-in-law was also an influential figure, and his father, Isaac, was a remarkable man.

How could someone like Esau believe that he was living under a curse? Do you believe it? In our understanding, those living under a curse should be desperately poor. But that's not the case. Not everyone living under a curse is penniless. When Esau saw Jacob, can you imagine the scene? A wealthy young man, a prince-like figure, in battle armor, riding a first-class steed. If four hundred men galloped together, it would be an awe-inspiring sight. A true hero! You may not understand, and neither do I; this is not what it means to be cursed but to live in a lie.

Imagine Esau seeing Jacob walking towards him, wearing an old cotton-padded coat, having herded sheep for twenty years. His face was dark, as if he had just returned from India or Africa. The cotton-padded clothes were ill-fitting. Moreover, he couldn't even ride a horse, limping forward, looking pathetic! Esau wondered: Did he really swindle my blessing? Is that all this blessing amounts to? It's meaningless. Is this my brother? The fair-skinned scholar, the pretty boy, has become an old man!”

Can you picture that scene? Esau was stunned, not by exhaustion, but bewildered by the blessing and the curse. Esau thought: Too bad, why should I kill him? Such a wretched old man, my brother is pitiable! Why did you deceive me back then? It didn't amount to much. Why were you so obsessed with the birthright? Wearing a fur coat, deceiving my father Isaac for a blessing, and what came of it? Nonsense! What blessing?”

One was like a prince, the other a country bumpkin without even a horse. Esau immediately abandoned the idea of killing Jacob, thinking: What blessing? All rubbish! Can you understand this? I have difficulty 이해ing it, let alone you. Esau thanked God, saying: I am still the firstborn, and my father's property is still mine. Look! I have four hundred servants, thank God! Because of God, I have compassion for him. Jacob is a shepherd, and we follow Jacob's path. If you feel Esau has a better life, you are in the wrong place; you should emulate Esau, it's a good option. So, those who hold worldly logic in their hearts, those who firmly believe in that worldly system, are living in Esau-like lies.

Was Esau really cursed? Yes, he was. But this is how the curse manifests. You might say: I wish I could have Esau's kind of curse. But your curse would not be like Esau's; it would be different. Some envy Esau, saying: I want a bit of Esau's curse. What you get may not be the same, so in the end, carrying a worldly logic system, God sends a spirit of lies to deceive you. You, who are a regular listener can follow this doctrine, but if you are new here, you may find it hard to stomach. Why? How could the spirit of lies come from God? Isn’t God malevolent? God desires all people to be saved, but that is only a desire, and reality is harsh.

Brothers and sisters, we must know that our God governs all things. Even today, evil spirits are under God's control. Do you know this? If you don't, I must tell you. Without God's permission, not a single hair will fall from your head; demons dare not touch you. You might say: A demon is making my finger hurt, my feet ache, I can't defecate or urinate, I can't eat or breathe. What's wrong? Simple. It's easy to understand because people disobey God's word. Those problems in the worldly logic system are self-inflicted. Some are very successful but live a painful life, like Lamech, constantly doubting everything. There are many such puzzling examples. Look around; they are everywhere!

Yesterday, a sister shared with me that she wanted to find a job for her child. Three years ago, she gave a bribe of three hundred thousand, but a year passed with no job; another year passed, still no job; and another year, still nothing. That thirty thousand could have paid three years' worth of salary, but she gave it away, throwing it down the drain. Bribing for a job is a lie. Are such lies common? Is she in pain now? She also has a mortgage. I asked her if she had paid off the mortgage. She could have used that thirty thousand to pay off the mortgage, thinking this would secure a job, but in the end, it all failed. Do you understand the irrationality? You appealed to him to find a job for children? He may not even keep own job. There are countless examples.

Did Lot and his wife live well? Extremely well. They lived in a spacious house, a villa. The decoration was marble with a TV wall. Their bathroom was not like ours, with a small showerhead and a small water heater. Their bathroom had a Roman bath for soaking, and there was a swimming pool in the yard. Great! You might say: Is this being cursed? I want a bit of this curse. But if you got exactly this you may not end up like Lot. Know that Lot's daughters were incredibly good, like goddesses. Two beauties with many suitors. Lot and his wife had strict discipline, and their finances thrived. They shouted: Thank the Lord! everyday.

Abraham was incomparable to Lot, always dirty, smelling of sheep manure. His living conditions were not as good as Lot's, and he had to dig a pit for a public toilet which he used; his clothes and food were inferior to Lot's, who dined out in the city and enjoyed entertainment. His children were not as good as Lot's children. Lot had two beloved daughters, but Abraham had no children.

How could Abraham be blessed? How could Lot be cursed? Lot was so successful. Why shouldn't he live in Sodom? Sodom was was not it a good place. Lot had every reason to believe this was God's leading. Even today, many brothers and sisters often say: Thank God for leading me! Thank God for blessing me! What's the use? Perhaps their lives are still full of lies. Lot was so successful, a model and benchmark for successful families!

Esau and Lot are models of successful people and families! After I am done, everyone also wants to be Lot, but you don't necessarily have Lot's destiny. One day when you see me say: Teacher, I want to be Lot. I say: You go east, I will go west; you go south, I will go north. That makes you Lot, great! Lot’s wife also said,: Glory to God, thanks to God!

Esau said: Oh, thank God! How can they not know God? They know. They don't care for ministry or pastoral work, but they must care for their job, business, children and family. Nothing can be delayed but gatherings. A gathering is nothing; business and family are so important.

Once there was a pastor whose daughter had cancer. I served his daughter day and night. After I finished, he was moved. He also wanted to do something, but he couldn't. Finally, he told me a phrase: God is first that is for sure, family is second and ministering is third. What nonsense I thought! God is first, family is second and ministering is third. In total, what is that? That logic is the logic of the brain-disabled, incomprehensible, but they absolutely believe that it is God's will. Are there many of these lies? There are many!

May God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven! That is how prayers always are. Is it done? It will certainly be done! God's wrath will certainly be revealed! People believe that they are right and correct. A beautiful woman who falls in love with a scumbag thinks she is doing the right thing. At first, she looked at him and thought, I see a prince but later ends up with a pack mule and deep down still believed him. In my ministry of this many people, will you speak the truth or speak falsities? If you tell him the truth, then they often hate you for doing so: What do you want? Split us up? Therefore, in the end, I developed a habit saying as little as possible. If God forces me to speak or say something, then I will say a few things to save a life.

Who among those who are deceived is not a firm believer? The spirit of lies is everywhere. Everyone is qualified to believe in lies. You may not be qualified to be Abraham, Lot, or even Esau, but you are certainly qualified to believe lies. Finally you are qualified! There are their own theories to support their view, living or thriving in lies. So stupid! Believing in God is really hard. The power of lies lies in the thousands of reasons to believe lies, but only one reason to believe in God. How to compare? The Spirit of Lies that we are talking about today, is not the first time I am talking about it, as I used to lecture about them I was going through the Bible.

Ahab was a king of Israel, so what do we do if God wants him to die? He was given a lie and where did the lie come from? Sent from God. God sent the Holy Spirit and said, Are the Holy Spirt and the Spirit of Lies from God? Don’t hate God, you should hate yourself. The moment you have your own logic system, who will you believe or follow but only lies, which is from God and you will die believing in your lies. Looking away, there are a few Ahaz. Lot is not few or far in between. or and Esaw. Many in that way are like lot a pig, Ahas like the sow!

Some time ago, I chatted with several pastors, they said: In our pastoral area, there is this, the person was scammed about something and everything, what a lament! Yesterday, a brother told me: A bureauman from his department, who is in his fifties believed in a lie on the benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Wow, running, fitness, stretches, showing off his muscles, blood transfusions, health supplements. He had a lot of tricks. Guess what? Like many health masters, he died in his fifties from, maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Is there rational to it? Before his death, he was miserable, envying people, saying, If I could live, even sweep the streets it would be fine! What a low goal. Are there many in this world who believe in lies? Many!

Some time ago, I watched a video, I don’t know if this video is real or fake, a bunch of foreign reporters chased after the head of Pfizer. Do you know that Pfizer’s vaccine is useless? Do you know that Pfizer’s vaccine has harmed a lot of people? The boss kept his mouth shut and walked from the outside to his office. A lot of reporters were asking: How much money have you made? How many billions have you made?

I ask you, powerful isn’t it? Aren't those vaccines being promoted by every government? What has the government done? The government is also living in lies! Many people still believe in vaccines. This thing is so powerful, and will make people go be uneducated. Of the people that I have ministered to who have received a vaccine, there really were those who were going to die. These events were prayerfully returned. It was just that prayer and the belief that through those intercessory prayers the people lived.

My classmates are all university professors. During the COVID period, one of my classmates wanted to know, Would those among us who were coming back home, could they bring back any kinds of special medicines? If there was a special medicine abroad, then there would then there would be no COVID abroad. There are no special medicines. People just want to trust that if it comes from abroad from something is special! People were saying it was not so. We had a sister whose family said they bought a good imported medical that cost them a lot of money! If there was special medicine then it would no longer be considered a pandemic. Believe in being a pyramid scheming? In our community, do we have a community of pyramid schemers? The thing is, believe in and then end that line of thought the lies. If you are going to have a success then stay in the world, with that belief. All of those are just a set of logic, what lessons have you all learned?

Remember that God looks down from heaven and says, Who will go and fool Mr. So and so? You, go! Let him believe that maintaining a healthy lifestyle? He will really believe in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and just that ends up being our example. Then the spirit of lies comes out and says, I will go! Why? Curses! Disobeying God's words. Remember, who that hates and holds animosity. The God must pursue and catch his sin from his father to the third or fourth generation as a son. Eye lust, lust of the body, and this life are all rooted and are taken away from the Spirit of Lies.

Have you been cheated in some way, would you like to wake up? I will add some cold water to you. God looks down and says, Who will go and fool Mr. So and so? A spirit comes out and says, I will go! Why? He wants to succeed. He wants to succeed every day. Come on, give him some lies. Sometimes Satan says: I'm leaving. If Satan leaves, you won't have a fun time with a pot of tea?

The stories are on this earth are the spiritual of God, who is the director. You see from above in heaven and says a person is too confident and sees that if they fall God will say to them you will be tested. Try it, he says. A test? Three times. Do not trust. Where did your confidence come from? Those who do not think they will be test. Watch out! I think it over, and what do they say? The slogan has no use. Relying on God, we are able to fully be able to walk through step and get to be one in a victory and have direction. Don't be so confident!

God looks, and one feels that one is successful, who wants to go down? Mess him up! This story is out. A lot of people have messed up.

Then there are some people in our group. Lawyers? There is one who has the lawyer's that he put sign the name to. and a signature but that one is now in jail in prison. Many of these people that this is what a level that they had been they can and they are a part of the truth and they will be exposed and they never were the key

The spirit of lies is powerful. That serpent that went into and seduced Adam and Eve, I would have thought that was also sent by God. God said, “Go!” Try him, see if if you eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is very possible brothers and sisters, lies are everywhere. Until this day, people are able to live in those lies. And this has hurt so many countless individuals and people. As well as the pastors There has been some of the said that some of the pastors will be able to be made as if these people will be one of the world I said if that if that has happened then good.

God said to be the key and that is the same to God is the only way. You want to be smart, and you want to say that you need for you to be a key for the word of GOD.

Scripture

Then Micaiah declared, “Hear the word of the LORD! I saw the LORD sitting on His throne with all the host of heaven standing on His right and on His left. And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ So one suggested this, and another that. Then a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will entice him.’ ‘How?’ the LORD asked him. ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. ‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’ So now the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.” Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah went up and struck Micaiah on the cheek. “Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go when He went from me to speak to you?” he asked. (1 Kings 22:19-24)

Prayer

God, give us wisdom and understanding, let us know that living by Your word is the greatest grace; God, give us such wisdom, let us learn to trust You, rely on Your word to seek the crown of glory in eternity in this world; God, deliver us from all lies, from all curses; God, may You have mercy on us, be gracious to us, let us in every day of this world constantly rely on Your great power, remove the lust of our eyes, the lust of our flesh, and the pride of this life. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen!

Background of this scripture

The background of this scripture is very interesting. This Ahab was a very powerful king, you must know this. When Ahab was king of Israel, the territory of Israel exceeded David's. The territory of Israel was very large during David's reign. He was very smart, and he married a very smart wife named Jezebel. Result: These two people managed the country well. The country's politics, economy, culture and many other aspects were very developed. There are many successful cases of Ahab. Very strategic. Can you say this is a curse? Ahab was actually worshipping a golden calf and then Jezebel raised many prophets of Baal. Are the prophets of Baal good? Good. To that level, the Israelites followed Baal.

Then there was a prophet named Elijah who was against him. It's no small matter. Don't say that you'll be finished if you go to the Public Security Bureau chief in Samaria. A small county Public Security Bureau chief will be able to destroy you! Result: Elijah performed many miracles in front of Ahab. Do you believe God? Believe in God. Ahab was there when Elijah killed the prophets of Baal. So this makes us think, I think the stories in this world are very confusing. In such a country as Ahab's the area in his success can be found throughout the country.

One day, Ahab had a thought, Naboth's vineyard looked good to him, no matter how he looked at it. Interesting! Just like David's son Amnon, he only had eyes for his half-sister. Ahab took a fancy to Naboth's vineyard, just liked it, couldn't say why, tried every means to get it, and became depressed and unhappy. Jezebel was clever, she used other people to accuse Naboth, stoned him to death, and even held a criticism meeting because he violated God. As a result, Naboth's vineyard belonged to Ahab, but after entering, it was nothing special. What difference could it have from other people's vineyards? No difference. So why did Ahab think this vineyard was good? Lies, the spirit of lies came, and he just felt it was good.

Another lie: Ahab thought, In such a big country like Israel, why can't I have any piece of land I want? Your ancestors... your ancestors are mine, I am your ancestor. Actually, we need to be careful in this generation. In villages, these bullies often say that everything is theirs, and they oppress the weak terribly. Many die. So this world is quite chaotic.

After Ahab did this, the curse was placed on his head. The old debts hadn't been settled yet, and now new debts came. Ahab shed Naboth's blood, and God was displeased. God said, Little one, I can't deal with you, little Ahab! We must know: the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life are too powerful! He wanted to get Naboth's vineyard, that was one idea, and then he had another idea: I want to take Ramoth Gilead from the Arameans. It's like China and the Philippines, wanting to seize an island, just wanting to fight. Like Zhenbao Island, Russia thinks Zhenbao Island is theirs, and China thinks Zhenbao Island is theirs, so they fight.

Ahab thought about Ramoth Gilead all day long. Was Ramoth Gilead Israeli territory? It was Israeli territory, taken by the Arameans. Ahab thought, If I take this land back, I will do a great service before God. I am still serving God. He thought it was good, but it was probably done by an evil spirit. We can't tell whether it's an evil spirit or a good spirit, anyway, it's a spirit of lies. Ahab insisted on taking this land back, thinking about it and then taking it back. He thought, My wife Jezebel gave me a small idea, then doing it to you is a piece of cake. My country of Israel is so powerful now, what are the Arameans? So he did it.

As a result, Ahab invited the prophets, and everyone spoke well of him. King Jehoshaphat of Judah had a good relationship with Ahab, and the two kings gathered together, similar to the two kings of South and North Korea gathering together. Then, while eating and drinking, Ahab said, I want to take back Ramoth Gilead. Jehoshaphat said, No problem, I'll help you. The two kings were of one heart and mind, so now with two forces, they should be able to take it back.

After the prophets were brought in, King Jehoshaphat of Judah said, I heard that you have a very famous prophet named Micaiah, who is very powerful. Ahab said, There is such a person, but he only speaks ill omens, not good omens. That's how prophets speak, remember, prophets only speak ill omens, not good omens. It's quite pitiful, I say: God, how did it become like this? So many prophets, only one is real, the rest are all fake. How can we live like this? In fact, that's really how it is.

Our brothers and sisters must know that although there are many pastors, there are not many who truly shepherd God's sheep. Ahab said, Go and bring Micaiah. The messenger who summoned Micaiah said to him, The prophets are unanimously speaking favorably to the king. You should speak the same way and say good omens. Micaiah said, Understood, I will definitely say good omens. Then Micaiah said, As surely as the Lord lives, I will tell him whatever the Lord says to me. When Micaiah came to the king, Ahab said to him, Micaiah, should we go to war against Ramoth Gilead? Micaiah said, Go up and be victorious, the Lord will hand the city over to the king! Then King Ahab said to Micaiah, How many times must I make you swear to tell me the truth in the name of the Lord?

He knew they were speaking lies. How could he not know? Because of the way Micaiah spoke, can you imagine it? Let me imitate it for you: Go up and be victorious, the Lord will hand the city over to you! Rolling his eyes, it looks like a joke, right? Then Ahab said, How many times must I make you swear to tell me the truth in the name of the Lord? This time Micaiah told the truth, he said:

Micaiah continued, “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the Lord said, ‘These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.’” The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?” (1 Kings 22:17-18)

Did everyone grasp the key point? Grasp it. What does this mean? How can a cursed person have good omens? A cursed person cannot have good omens! A true prophet, seeing a person cursed, seeing Ahab seizing Naboth's vineyard, killing Naboth, can there be good omens to speak of? Then Micaiah said:

Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left. And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that. Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him.’ “‘By what means?’ the Lord asked. “‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “ ‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord. ‘Go and do it.’ (1 Kings 22:19-22)

I ask you, is this arranged by God? Yes! Then did God arrange one for you? If God arranged one for you, you should still listen to the ill omens, don't listen to the good omens, don't believe that stuff, don't believe nice words, listen to the unpleasant words. Our brothers and sisters must know that pastoring is not easy. It is difficult to pastor without speaking ill omens. You say, Why do you have to speak ill omens? You are a cursed person, what can I say if I don't tell you some ill omens? When will you wake up if I don't say it?

I tell you again, you can continue to stiffen your neck and rush forward wildly, the spirit of lies is working; you can sin again and again, but God will surely demand the sins of his people! Listen to the word of the Lord your God. Being a prophet is not easy. Brothers and sisters, I only want to release you from this lie, I only want to pull you out of this curse, but whether you listen is your choice. Although what I say is unpleasant, I really hope to release you from that curse!

So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.” Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and struck Micaiah in the face. “Which way did the spirit of the Lord go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked. (1 Kings 22:23-24)

This passage of scripture is such a background. Only one true prophet, Micaiah, saw the vision and clearly told King Ahab, but people did not believe it, and believed the lie. As a result, Ahab put on a soldier's uniform, wore several layers of armor, and rushed to the battlefield. As a result, an arrow, how could it be so accurate, boom! It shot into the gap in King Ahab's armor. You say that the arrow shot into the gap in the armor, is it magical? How could it be so accurate? I tell you, it is so accurate, people can never escape the hand of God! Don't think that people can escape God's punishment, God will surely demand the sins of His people, don't offend God again and again, sin again and again, and as a result, Ahab died.

Curses and the Spirit of Lies

Our brothers and sisters must know: a person who covets someone else's house and someone else's property believes a lie. Because I will be happy if I have that thing, and I will be unhappy if I don't have that thing. Have you ever found that you are not happy even if you have anything? Let me give you an example: decades ago, how much I wanted a car, how much I wanted to buy some small picnic benches, small picnic tables, small cushions, small stoves, and then drive to a picnic. Then I bought a car. I stood on the building of my house and saw my car parked there every day. What picnic? Really didn't go many times, and wasn't happy, didn't increase any joy.

Later, I felt that if I had a big house, a large flat, it would be great, but I really wasn't happy when I had it. If a couple lives together, they can quarrel no matter how big the house is, the bigger the house, the more fierce the quarrel, and then they can sleep in separate rooms. If it is a multi-story house, you live on the top floor, I live on the bottom floor, and some people go to the basement all at once to hide far away, that thing does not make you happier.

A spirit of lies came, and Ahab dreamed of Naboth's vineyard day and night. Does your house lack that vineyard? How much difference can his vineyard have from a vineyard in any place you find? Actually, there is not much difference. Some people have to take a fancy to other people's wives and release lies; some people take a fancy to other people's husbands, aren't you just looking for trouble; some people take a fancy to other people's houses; some people take a fancy to other people's money; some people take a fancy to other people's status.

One of our brothers is quite interesting: the head of his unit was about to retire, and as a result, there were several candidates, one was him, and the other was another person. The other person wanted to get the position of the boss, how glorious it would be to get the position of the boss, everyone would have to listen to him. Then he did a series of operations as fierce as a tiger, and as a result, he was diagnosed with cancer when he went to the hospital for an examination. Our brother didn't do anything, and it was done. It is very hateful for people to live in lies.

Ahab took a fancy to Naboth's vineyard, and then was cursed. Do you say that the lie came first, or taking a fancy to Naboth's vineyard came first? Lies came first. Ahab got Naboth's vineyard and then was cursed. After he was cursed, another lie came in, and he was going to prepare to fight and take back Ramoth Gilead. What a good reason, how grateful to God, glory to God, it's another lie.

As a result, this lie was exposed by Micaiah, and he told Ahab that he was going to die in battle. If it were you, would you still go? You might still stiffen your neck and go. I tell you, all things are lies first, why? Because Adam and Eve did it that way. Lies first, you eat, and they ate. The demons are too lazy to pick it for you, you pick it yourself and put it in your mouth. Ahab listened to Micaiah's words, thought about it and was confused, thinking: it's not like that, is it so powerful?

Ahab Has Good Success Stories

Why do people believe lies? Because there is foreshadowing in the past. Did Ahab have the qualifications to attack Ramoth Gilead? Yes, he could definitely take Ramoth Gilead back. Did he have the ability? Yes, he had the ability. Now King Jehoshaphat of Judah is also here to join in, so it will definitely be successful. Did he have military exploits? He had military exploits, and he had taken down places that were more difficult to attack than Biramoth in the past. Did Ahab work hard? He worked very hard. Did Ahab erect monuments and write biographies for himself? Yes, he did. He had bragged about his own awesomeness, and the whole country of Israel felt that Ahab was awesome, Ahab was very good!
