Introduction

People have dreams that are real, and dreams that are false. Real dreams bring prosperity, while false dreams lead to decline.

When I was a child, there was a film that moved me to tears. The protagonist was a rural woman who was dying. Her husband asked her what her dream was. She said she wanted to see a train. The film was about how her husband pushed her in a wheelchair to the train tracks so she could see a train.

It was a very sad story. A person on the verge of death, whose only dream was to catch a glimpse of a green train. Frankly, I loathe trains. When I used to take the train to school, it was those same green trains, and it was so painful.

The woman in the film, her aspirations were such that she only desired to see a green train. Some people want to travel the world, some want to immigrate, some want to pursue a doctorate. But is it really that meaningful? Perhaps they achieve it, only to find it's not all that great. Many Mexicans want to immigrate to the United States, that's the immigration dream. There are also many who dream of a university education, or getting a doctorate. Some want to marry a rich and handsome man, others want to marry a beautiful and wealthy woman… These are just different versions of the green train. When the dream shatters, the person collapses.

One must have dreams, but some dreams lead to the gate of destruction, while others lead to the gate of prosperity. Dreams are a spiritual matter. Today, I will guide you to understand how to enter the kind of dream that leads to prosperity.

Scripture

Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” (Genesis 28:10-16)

Prayer

God, grant us a heavenly dream, that we may all emulate Jacob, that we may all open the windows of heavenly blessings, that we may all see the angels of God ascending and descending on the stairway. Let us all hear the blessings you proclaim to us. Let us hear your declaration that you will give us the land, that our descendants will be like the sand of the sea and the stars of the sky. All nations will be blessed through us. May your will be done in us. May you break all worldly dreams in us, that we may all take up our Mingding Destiny and become a blessing to all nations on earth! Amen!

How Did Jacob Open the Gate of Heavenly Blessing?

Jacob was a remarkable man; he opened the gate of heavenly blessing. By this time, Jacob was seventy-five years old. In pursuit of opening the dream of heavenly blessing, he had not been in a relationship at seventy-five years old, thinking all day about how to obtain the covenant that his grandfather Abraham and father Isaac had made with God. Unknowingly, seventy-five years passed, and he finally obtained the covenant he sought. Then, he had this dream.

When Jacob was fifteen or sixteen years old, Abraham was still alive, and he would listen to his grandfather Abraham and his father Isaac tell stories. Abraham and Isaac's lives were lives filled with heavenly dreams. After listening to these stories, Esau did not find them interesting, but Jacob was different; he was fascinated by them.

People have something interesting, they are born loving God, or born loving to eat and drink. For more than seventy years, what was he pursuing? He was pursuing a dream; he wanted God to speak to him. After waiting for more than seventy years, God finally appeared to him, and God said to him the same words he had said to his grandfather and father:

I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

Jacob was not pursuing a green train, not a doctorate dream, not an immigration dream, not traveling the world. He was asking for, All nations on earth will be blessed through you. What a lofty dream! God was pleased with him and said to him:

I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.

If God said such things to you, how amazing would that be! What would you have to worry about? The promises in the Bible are far better than what we pursue in this world! After reviewing Ecclesiastes chapter 1 on Friday, my mind was much clearer, because I had seen through a little more. Recently, many people have passed away, Jin Yong, Li Yong. Li Yong's large house in the United States was exposed, but what use is it? The person is dead.

When I see the miracles that God performs, my reaction is different from many people. I think, Wow, this is a treasure! This treasure is like a cornucopia (when I was a child, I really wanted a cornucopia, to have whatever I wanted). The Lord Jesus Christ is even more powerful than a cornucopia! It's amazing!

God wants people like Jacob! However, some people are very numb. Some people are healed immediately after praying for their illnesses, and I am very excited! But they are not happy; they have not obtained this or that, and their minds are still preoccupied with worldly things. After touching the cornucopia, people continue to live small lives, placing immense importance on their work, children, and business. What's the difference between this and the dream of the green train?

I always sleep soundly on airplanes, but many people are always very afraid of flying, worried that the plane will crash. Silly child, a person with God does not need to worry about the plane crashing! If you are really afraid, come fly with me. One time, I was on a plane, and it was shaking violently, so I gave him...

In Jacob's first seventy-five years, he did not enjoy mutual love, nor did he enjoy delicacies. He was an oddball, pursuing what?

**May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness—an abundance of grain and new wine. May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.**” (Genesis 27:28-29)

I am a person with Jacob's character; everything I do prospers. Many brothers and sisters come among us and are blessed. Why? Because I long to be a blessing to you. God says,

May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.

Later, Jacob grazed sheep for his uncle Laban, and no one could do it better than him because everything he did prospered. To be a person like Jacob, how good is that! It is better than doctorate dreams, immigration dreams, wealth dreams, and dreams of traveling the world!

Esau, a False Dream

In contrast, God truly disliked Esau. People like Esau are often busy, building and building, only to have it torn down; doing and doing, only to lose it all. This is God's doing; God truly dislikes those who are very low. If God dislikes you, but demons enjoy messing with you, how can you live your life!

Some people highly value their children's education. If you value your children's education, can your children outperform Li Yong? Didn't Li Yong also die of cancer? Don't be foolish anymore today; you are building, but God is tearing down. If you cherish worldly things, people will fight you, demons will mess with you, and God will ignore you.

My core interests cannot be touched by anyone. My core interests are to be a blessing to many people. How can you touch that? Others can be touched, but this one, God will not allow anyone to touch.

If your core interests are your children, then something will happen. A doctoral student's child got lupus. Taiwan is China's core interest, but it is being touched by others.

The two World Wars were both because core interests were touched. But if your core interests are not on earth at all, how can they be touched? No one can touch them. The China–United States trade war is a battle between the American Dream and the Chinese Dream, between the core interests of America and the core interests of China. But our core interests are not on earth, so let's just watch. Our core interests are not to be above anyone, but to be a blessing to many people.

If you choose to be Esau, then you deserve whatever consequences come. If you do not believe that life is vanity of vanities, you cannot enter Jacob's dream. If you are concerned about your children and your job, you cannot pursue heavenly dreams. However, when you pursue heavenly dreams, your children and your job will be fine because they are protected by God.

Some brothers and sisters, I tell them to work hard, and they work hard because they have seen through everything. But some people only care about work and forget to see through everything. Isn't this just adding to their troubles?

Angels Ascending and Descending

This is arbitrage! The angels are bringing heavenly resources down to Jacob! The window of heavenly blessings is opened, so how can there be lack?

If you do not understand the reality of the spirit realm, you cannot understand more spiritual principles. The spirit realm determines everything in life. Our God absolutely possesses all resources! The ladder in Jacob's dream is the church, the stairway to heaven. The angels pour down heavenly blessings through this stairway. If that ladder is a glorious and victorious church, then if we want to open the window of heavenly blessings today, we must build a glorious and victorious church.

There was a brother who was in the pest control business, and his business was very bad. But when he came among us, his business became very prosperous. Today his choice is important: to be someone who builds a glorious church, or to go back to living his small life. If he chooses the former, he will continue to prosper.

If you have heavenly dreams, no one can touch your core interests.

Pay the Price for Heavenly Dreams

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If your dream is in education, your money will be in school district housing, and you will lose your heavenly dream. If you hear such a sermon today and have a voice of accusation in your heart, learn to come out and be Jacob, not Esau.

Your logic system is your judgment of value. Some people think paying the price for heavenly dreams is boring, while others think it is worthwhile. The root cause is people's inner cognition. If you have Jacob's cognition, you will pay the price for heavenly dreams; if you have Esau's cognition, you will lose your heavenly dreams.

God is not to be trifled with; what you care about is your core interest. Heavenly dreams are your future. If you do not have heavenly dreams, you have no future, because your future is a curse. Today, brothers and sisters, if you want a bright future, start building a set of heavenly dreams. Don't have green train dreams; think about Esau's ending.

You know in your heart, if you have never experienced God's grace, I will not ask anything of you. But if you have experienced God's grace, I will ask you to read the Bible carefully again; you need to know how important heavenly dreams are. Jacob paid a heavy price for heavenly dreams, but after paying the price, there was an outpouring of God's blessings.

“**Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be everyone who blesses you!**”

Brothers and sisters, look a little further. Do you know how much God values treasures? The question is, do you choose to be a treasure, or to be garbage? If you choose to be Jacob, you will definitely open the window of heavenly blessings. From then on, you will no longer lack, because everything you touch will be blessed.
