【Sermon】 Opening the Windows of Heavenly Blessings (4) – Fully Knowing God in Understanding

2018-10-21 13,704 Open the Windows of Heavenly Blessings Series

Introduction

We have been expounding on Opening the Windows of Heavenly Blessings for several weeks. Today, we delve into the fourth part, Fully Knowing God in Understanding, a matter of utmost importance. To whom do these windows open? Observations leave us perplexed. The Bible and life are replete with examples that confound us: Look, the wicked prosper, yet I, who am not wicked, find no heavenly blessings.

The Bible recounts similar stories. Jacob, after deceiving his father for a blessing, possessed only a staff. Were you in Jacob's shoes, would you question, Is the blessing real? He was penniless, while his brother inherited the estate and now returns with four hundred men. Limping forward, would you not wonder, God, have you erred? Was I not to receive blessings from my father?

Consider Cain and Abel. Abel was slain, leaving us to ponder, Why was Abel killed? Our brethren testify of those earning modest salaries of over ten thousand, while others effortlessly amass over two hundred thousand.

Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord Almighty. But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ (Malachi 3:7)

Might we arrive at such a conclusion?

You have said, “It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his instructions and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? So now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.”'” (Malachi 3:14-15)

Those around us may experience great confusion. What is the crux of it all? We must know God in understanding, and we must know what God intends to do. God's purpose is to set people apart; His perspective differs from ours.

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.” (Malachi 3:16-18)

Our God intends to set apart these individuals. With enough life experience, one can witness God's workings.

“But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness. (Malachi 3:2-3)

I recently discussed The Stumbling Stone, addressing the rise and fall of many. Without knowing God in understanding, your perspective diverges from God's. Would you deem Esau wretched? Understanding God reveals His act of sifting people.

Scripture

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10)

Prayer

Lord Jesus, we thank you! You are like a refiner's fire and a launderer's soap. You sit as a refiner of silver, purifying us like gold and silver, so that we may present offerings to God in righteousness! Lord, work a renewing within us. Renew our minds and thoughts in understanding. Show your love to those who love you and keep your covenant. Release all brethren and sisters oppressed by poverty. Open the windows of heavenly blessings and pour out your blessings upon us, that we may fully know you in understanding, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

God Sifts Out Those Who Belong to Him Through Blessings

Opening the windows of heaven is merely a test, to see if you can recognize: This is God! How shall I continue to serve Him? Do I live for God or myself? If your eyes are fixed on the blessing, trouble ensues; seeing God is paramount. I often train people to grasp the essence. Without it, one cannot grasp God's intent and understand His ways. How can one receive blessings without knowing God in understanding? Amidst numerous phenomena, confusion reigns without grasping the essence of things. I have witnessed many who tithe without being blessed; after the test, God blesses, yet they do not know God in their hearts. God separates those who know Him from those who do not, those who serve Him from those who do not, bringing forth those who belong to Him through blessings.

From a human perspective, Jacob and Esau present a conundrum: Jacob received the blessing, yet I see Esau thriving? The blessing is merely a byproduct. Can you grasp that? God blesses and curses; these are merely the consequences of obeying and disobeying His word. Ultimately, God reigns. If we heed His word and tithe, we must continue to diligently obey His word.

What is the essence of life? It is to serve God. God is a jealous God, not in need of assistance. God needs people to understand, to know Him in understanding; clarity prevents confusion.

Some time ago, a brother came to the church, struggling to find employment. He eventually found a job, but his work permit was initially denied. Upon finding another job, the permit was approved. However, over the years, this brother's salary steadily increased, while another brother's salary remained stagnant. The lack of increase was painful. Later, our brother, reflecting on this, said to me: I will serve God. I thank my God who provided when I was greatly in need! This God is a jealous God. Gratitude is well-placed. If one seeks God for blessings, one can seek Him for blessings, testing Him with the tithe. Our God is a jealous God. Many, after tithing, question: What have you done with my tithe? Is that money yours? All things come from Him. Tithing merely expresses an intent; our God is a God of blessing, and we need His blessings. We live to live for God.

Our God Does Not Need Help

In the Bible, if your offering is intended to support God, even if it is intended to support those who serve Him, it will be cursed. For example, if I see many poor pastors and seek to help, do they need your help because they are poor? Will God not provide for them? God does not need to be served by human means.

In the Bible, a man helped God when the Ark of the Covenant was about to fall; he reached out to steady it, and God struck him dead. We live for God. Aaron's two sons, serving before the Lord, offered unauthorized fire, offering with their own intentions. God struck them dead on the spot, a harsh consequence. Offering unauthorized fire is serving God according to one's own will. Serving God must be done according to His Word.

Someone called me, saying, Pray for me, pray for my money. Seeing so many poor pastors, I invested millions, hoping to earn more to support these poor pastors. But I lost all my money. Pray for my money. Half-asleep, a spirit would shake her awake, urging her to: Get up and pray for money. All who use money to support God will be cursed. To my knowledge, this person later became unable to walk.

God does not need help; He needs those who fear His name, who are willing to seek Him and serve Him willingly. He is our God. What do you truly want? One of our brothers, running a company, consistently borrowed money to operate, enduring great difficulty. Can God not reverse such a situation? Does your heart dwell on the factory? Do you need God's help for your business?

You need God to open the windows of heavenly blessings and pour them upon you. God's purpose is not merely to bless you, but to separate those who fear Him from those who do not, and those who serve Him from those who do not. You can try it; God will bless you. If you do not know in your understanding that He is a jealous God, are you still living for this business?

The Meaning of Life is to Serve God

I earnestly advise everyone that you must have experienced God; there are not many who have not experienced God. Actually, let me tell you, when I first knew God, God blessed me with a job. Through God's blessing, I grasped a key principle: This is a treasure. My God, I will trust and serve Him all my life. I am not foolish; I like to grasp the essence of things. I do not want to remain on the surface. I read the Book of Malachi, and tithing is a test to let us know that He is our treasure, and we should pursue Him all our lives.

If a person cannot see through the essence of the world, you will always feel that worldly things are interesting. I find them uninteresting. I have no interest in traveling or playing. I live a very fulfilling life. I experience God every day. I have personally seen God open the windows of heavenly blessings upon me. Whatever I do, God blesses me. My hope is not in this world. I need God in this world. If I live, it is vanity, all is vanity; doing business, everything is vanity of vanities.

Serving God is the meaning of my life. When I first believed in the Lord, I saw God's blessing, not just trying God by tithing. Our God is a jealous God. Our God is so good, and these are all blessings. Are you living for blessings or for the jealous God? Can your understanding recognize God? If you do not recognize Him, you will live as confused as the Israelites, seeing what is evil in the eyes of the Lord as good, and what is good as evil.

They were testing God, but God delivered them from disaster. When Jacob returned from Laban, his brother was coming to kill him with an army. If I were Jacob and did not recognize God in my understanding, I might think, God, aren't you going to curse him? I see four hundred people coming to kill me! If we are full of the knowledge of God in our understanding, what do we know God is doing? God is doing one thing: to separate those who fear Him.

If you recognize God in your understanding and see that those who do evil are living well, you will not talk nonsense. Our hope is not in this world. The Book of Hebrews, which we recently studied, explains it very thoroughly. Is our hope in this world? If our hope is not in this world, what do we need in this world? If you do not get a conclusion, living is vanity of vanities. You will value many things too much. Tithing is in vain if you tithe only to get blessings. After you have tested Him, you must recognize God in your understanding.

Dealing with Spiritual Oppression, Being Full of the Knowledge of God in Your Understanding

The spirit of the big fish is very abominable. For so many years, I have been constantly praying and fighting. It is very difficult to release people oppressed by the spirit of the big fish. On the surface, they are very good, like saints and gentlemen, and they also tithe, but in their bones, they do not know God. The spirit of the big fish releases a lot of corruption in their understanding. There is fear, hypocrisy, love of face, and self-righteousness. Dealing with the spirit of the big fish in such people must be guided in their understanding. Because usually, these people do not have all the symptoms. Those who are oppressed by the spirit of the big fish are very slow to recognize God in their understanding. Recently, we have had a great breakthrough in this area. Many people have been released and have begun to live easily, not caring about face.

Have they opened the windows of heavenly blessings? They have experienced God, but they are filled with their own set of things. We need to break through in our understanding. In the next healing and deliverance, we must know in our understanding that our hope is God. Next Friday, we will lead everyone to read the Book of Ecclesiastes. It is written so well; it is truly vanity of vanities. We need God because of the vanity. Our hope is not in this world. We see some people who do not fear God and live very well, and we do not care. We want to know God and have God's glorious image. We want to obtain God's salvation and restore the image that God originally created us in.

A few days ago, a sister told me about a cancer patient she was pastoring, whom I had also personally ministered to. There was a lot of filth in her, and she did not know that the things in her mind needed to be removed. If you have problems with poverty or sickness, try God with your offerings, sift out what belongs to God, and willingly remove the filth inside. There is nothing that cannot be turned around. I think opening the windows of heavenly blessings today is just a test. We must learn from Jacob, who was not confused by the many problems he encountered because what he was pursuing was God's eternal life. We must remove the filth inside.

Calculate the accounts in your understanding. Do not be confused. Learn to love God. Stand higher and see farther. You will know why you love God. Say in your understanding, God, I love you! It is not a snap decision, but a decision made in your mind and thoughts, because we have calculated the accounts in eternity, not in the seventy or eighty years of this life. This life will pass quickly. In eternity, raise your spiritual height, constantly climb the spiritual peaks, and enter God's garden of love.

Make a Decision to Turn Back to God

Make a decision today, and you will find that you will live out God's glorious image. This glorious image will make you realize that the meaning of life is not to make money, not to be blessed, not to open the windows of heavenly blessings, but to be a vessel of God's blessing, offering yourself completely. Our God is a magnanimous God. Our God gave Jesus Christ while we were still sinners, resurrected Him from the dead for us, and restored our glorious image.

If the result of your life is not God's glorious image, but you have diseases, poverty, and all kinds of oppressions, you need to know that you have made a mistake in your understanding. You really need to change your spiritual height. Stand higher, farther, and clearer to see what life is all about. Then you will say, God, I love you! Loving God is an infinitely good thing. The commandment that the Lord Jesus gave us is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your strength. The reward for loving God is abundant. Do not love God with impure motives. God wants you to enter into His grace.

God, I want to know you more. I want to know you more. What is the meaning of our life? The meaning of our life is to be like God, like Jesus, to offer ourselves completely, and to release captive souls. Our healing and deliverance enter into the realm of releasing people in their understanding. People's understanding is very, very important. Therefore, Paul said in the Bible:

But in the church I would rather speak five words with my mind, so as to instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. (1 Corinthians 14:19)

To fill people with the knowledge of God in their understanding is the most powerful battle. To enter into the Father's garden of love, we need a spiritual warfare nuclear weapon, and the power of release will be very strong. Make a decision today to turn back to God.

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 4:1-3)

Our hearts must turn back to God, and God's heart will surely turn back to us, and the curses on our bodies will go out, Amen!

Lord Jesus, today I will turn back to you. You are the purpose of my life. You are the treasure of my life. I will hold on to you tightly. Lord Jesus, grant the Holy Spirit to reveal to me, so that I may be full of the knowledge of God in my understanding, so that I may know what life is all about. I open my heart and turn around all my desolate state, and may blessings be poured out upon me, Amen!

Thank God that He led me to read this sermon today, so that in such great difficulty, I can once again know Him anew, so that I no longer see how great my difficulty is, nor am I saddened or even despair because God has not yet turned my situation around, because my Lord my God is all of my life, and I belong entirely to Him.
