【Sermon】Faith, Hope, and Love Series 2: Strength Lies in Quiet Confidence!

2021-03-28 30,574 Faith, Hope, and Love Series Confidence Curse Rebellion Foundation Calamity Blessing

I. Introduction

We Need to Rely on God

Good day to all. I am very pleased to meet everyone online again. Today, I will be sharing on the topic: “In Quietness and Trust is Your Strength.” This follows last Sunday’s topic, “Abounding in Hope Through the Power of the Holy Spirit,” and is part of a series. I believe that in life, one must understand that many things are beyond our control. We cannot rely on ourselves; who can we truly depend on?

As we discussed last Sunday in “Abounding in Hope Through the Power of the Holy Spirit,” we must recognize our need for miracles in the face of any challenge. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can have great hope. By trusting in God and having faith in Him, we can find peace and stability. Thus, strength lies in quietness and trust, which is essentially about faith.

The Significant Impact of Emotions

Over the past two weeks, we have discovered a peculiar thing called lust. In our past understanding, while we knew that the Holy Spirit opposes the desires of the flesh, we did not realize that lust itself is a spirit. In the last two weeks, as we began to combat certain evil spirits, the Holy Spirit revealed to us that the most dominant spirit in those areas was the spirit of lust. This spirit brings about conditions similar to those of Sodom and Gomorrah, where economic prosperity coexists with rampant licentiousness.

When discussing lust, we began to question: “What exactly is this spirit of lust?” Interestingly, the combination of the Chinese characters for “情” (emotion) and “欲” (desire) is quite intriguing. In our understanding of Chinese culture, the term “情欲” (qingyu), meaning lust, has long existed. We are familiar with the “Seven Emotions and Six Desires.” This suggests that when we read about lust today, it is closely related to our inner emotions, feelings, and the Seven Emotions and Six Desires. Reading this, we begin to see the significant impact of the Seven Emotions and Six Desires on people.

For instance, when a person's emotions flare up, they lose their sense of reason. I’ll give you an example: In an earthquake, with the ground shaking and people living in tall buildings, it’s crucial not to use the elevator, as you might get trapped. People rush to escape from high-rise buildings, which often have underground levels. Someone who is emotionally unstable might, in their panic, run straight to the basement, only to be caught when the building collapses. What is the point of running to the basement? When people panic, their emotions become unstable, leading to serious problems.

Take the 9/11 incident, for example, when planes struck the towers, people fled downwards. Who knows what floor they reached? When a person is anxious, they become flustered. No matter what you do, being flustered is never a good thing. So, our emotions, feelings, or what we call lust, are closely related to how we act. Indeed, the Bible says: “In quietness and trust is your strength.” One's ability to act effectively lies in a state of peace and stability.

Today, our nation's security has improved, and in many places, safety is quite good. However, in years past, security was poor, especially in crowded train stations during holidays. Some people mingled in these crowds as pickpockets, targeting those who appeared nervous, flustered, and emotionally unstable. Two would approach: one to bump into the victim, while the other would steal.

A lack of inner peace and stability attracts thieves, just as emotional instability attracts evil spirits. Therefore, emotional and character stability are crucial. For example, if a Christian is often flustered, they easily attract evil spirits. Walking down the street, one might encounter stray dogs. People who panic often find these spirits drawn to them. So, character is critical.

Solving Emotional Problems Through Trust in God

“In quietness and trust is your strength.” Knowing this title, you probably understand what I'm talking about: the stability of a person. Stability is a character trait, and in past sermons, I have often mentioned that the core of character is faith. What is faith? It is the kind of trust in God that we call faith.

You will find that people with faith have more stable characters. But what if you are born without faith? Some people pray, “Lord, increase my faith!” Christians often pray this way. I don't particularly agree with this. Why pass the buck to God for your lack of faith? Recently, I studied Luke 17 and found that when someone asked the Lord to increase his faith, Jesus responded that it was their duty. Jesus gave a parable, saying that we are useless servants, that this is what we ought to do, and many other things.

I believe that faith is something we should cultivate ourselves. Some say, I have no faith! Can you not develop faith? My personality is just rough! Can't you choose to have faith and become more peaceful and stable? So, today's topic is for those who are rough, flustered, and prone to rushing into things, only to be deceived. They either deceive others or get deceived themselves.

Emotions, or lust, the Seven Emotions and Six Desires, directly influence a person's emotions. The most critical and central aspect of a person's emotions is their faith in God. As long as a person has faith in God, they will be peaceful and stable. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, illness is closely related to our Seven Emotions and Six Desires. For example, excessive grief or sorrow can easily lead to lung disease. Excessive thinking and worry can harm the stomach, causing stomach problems. These Seven Emotions and Six Desires are closely linked to our internal organs, our emotions; for example, excessive liver fire is associated with a bad temper.

Today, the topic I am discussing will greatly impact healing and deliverance. Why do so many of our brothers and sisters have so many problems and seek prayer and healing among us? It is because of problems with our emotions, feelings, and lust. Therefore, to deal with the issue of lust, we must first address a foundational issue: the issue of your faith in God.

II. Scripture

Let's not ramble on. Everyone should have a concept of what I will be discussing. This topic comes from Isaiah 30. In the Old Testament, Isaiah is one of the books I have studied best. The Book of Isaiah has 66 chapters, and today's scripture appears in Isaiah 30:15. If you are interested, you can listen to my past Bible study recordings.

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. (Isaiah 30:15)

The part that follows is meaningful. God says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. If we examine but you would have none of it, it would be another topic. Today, we see that if you have faith in God and are willing to be saved and return to rest, and if you are willing to be peaceful and stable, you will surely gain strength.

III. Prayer

Let us pray together. If you have a paper Bible, you can underline this passage and listen to my Bible study of Isaiah 30 when you have the chance.

Lord, we need peace and stability. Lord, we need your word. Lord, open our minds today so that you can speak to us, so that we can understand in our hearts, so that we can willingly be peaceful and stable and return to rest. Today, O God, speak to us, open our minds, let us understand your word, let us know that you are God, know that you hold all things together with your almighty hands. Today, Lord, we trust you, we learn to trust you, Lord, today we choose to trust you, let us have peace and stability within, and let our hearts find rest. Those who trust in you will never be put to shame. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

IV. The Background and Theme of This Scripture

Rebellious Children Who Do Not Trust God

The theme of Isaiah 30 is Rebellious People. If we read Isaiah 30 more completely, you will find that from the beginning of chapter 30, the Lord says: Woe to the obstinate children. My goodness! Is this referring to you or me? We must carefully examine ourselves. Woe to the obstinate children. What does this mean? It means that many of God's children are very rebellious:

“…who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin... (Isaiah 30:1)

This entire chapter speaks of rebellious children. What does this mean? God designed salvation to be in repentance and rest, and strength to be in quietness and trust. How wonderful is this! But people just don't choose this path. What do people rely on? They like to rely on things other than God. Today, if we carefully examine the Christian community, very few truly trust in God. Today, this sentence gives us a revelation: do not be rebellious children of God.

Opening the Bible, if we flip to Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, we see that Jesus is amazing! He heals those born blind with a touch, and those born lame with a word. I think, Jesus is amazing! Many years ago, after I believed in Jesus, I thanked God that I attended a powerful church where I saw many miracles that shocked me. Before I went to such a church, it's not that I hadn't been exposed to Christianity. Some Christian friends liked to evangelize, bringing me to their churches, but all they did was recommend doctors, and after seeing the doctors, my illness didn't get better, and I spent a sum of money. Later, I simply found a church myself where there were miracles everywhere.

Today, if we carefully examine, many Christians do not believe. The gospel we believe in is supposed to be a gospel of great power, but it has been believed by these rebellious people into a gospel without power. Originally there was abundant hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, but the powerful Holy Spirit has been disbelieved until it disappeared. Where has belief gone? It has put God in Egypt, meaning that these people are relying on worldly methods, worldly power, and human ability. Relying on human ability is dangerous! Relying on human ability, you will find that people are not peaceful and stable, but rough.

What we lack is faith in relying on God, and strength in quietness and trust. What is the result? Their legs may run fast, but can legs run faster than a tiger? Can they run faster than a lion? They can't! Can two legs run faster than four legs? Later, people rode horses, riding fast animals, and then they found that those who chased them were even faster. People live in panic, roughness, tension, and nervousness. Many Christians are in this state today. If you tell them to have faith in God, they find it absurd. What they seek is human ability.

Today, I won’t hide anything, and I am not afraid of others giving me labels. Among the Christians I have met, I have found that Christians are not necessarily more honest than those of other faiths. For example, recently I met a Christian who claimed to be a Christian, and then he said, Give me a million, and I have a project that will give you three million by the end of the year! I thought, Whoa, a scam! The word Christian is almost synonymous with scam. He said, Believe me, I am a Christian, how could I possibly cheat you? In the past years, this is not the first time I have encountered this situation. I have concluded that you should never trust the people who say, I am a Christian, how could I possibly cheat you! There are many scammers in the Christian community, so don't believe if they are truly Christian or not.

These are obstinate children, who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit. (Isaiah 30:1)

These children of God just refuse to believe in God, which I find rather interesting. So, once our brothers and sisters went to buy a house and found that several families around them worshiped idols, which was also quite interesting. Many people do not like an environment of idol worship, and of course, idol worship is not good. They asked my opinion, because I have been cheated many times by Christians. Thank God, I did not fall. As a result, I said not to worry about it, thankfully they are not Christians.

The Consequences of Rebellious Children

For example, some brothers bought a house, and the Christian upstairs complained during the renovation process. The idol worshippers next door did not complain, which bothered us a lot. So our brothers and sisters began to think about this. Isaiah Chapter 30 is not written about idol worshippers, it is written about God’s rebellious children. Today's rebellious children are dangerous and cause many things and many disasters. So, after the people of the world rebel, they may encounter disasters, but not as many as Christians; if you are a Christian, and also a child of God, and also rebellious, it is very troublesome. It is normal for the people of the world to rely on their own abilities and also encounter some things, but if you become a Christian and still do not trust in God, this is opposing God, and the result is like what is written in Isaiah 30:

See how this sin is like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly, in an instant. It will be broken like a piece of pottery, shattered so mercilessly that among its pieces not a shard will be found for taking coals from a hearth or scooping water out of a cistern.” (Isaiah 30:13-14)

So brothers and sisters, being a child of God is not a joke, the most important thing is not to confront God. If we oppose God, these disasters described in the Bible and in Isaiah will befall people. The disasters that I have seen these people encounter are quite common; for example, the proportion of pastors who get cancer is higher than that of ordinary people. Some statistics say it is twice as high, but I think it is more than that.

Trust in God, Be Peaceful and Stable

The theme of Isaiah in this chapter is to warn us not to be that kind of Christian, and that salvation lies in returning to rest, and strength lies in quietness and trust. If I have faith in God, I must believe in the words of God: strength lies in quietness and trust, because our God is the God who fights for us. Our God is the God who controls the universe. Our God holds all things together with his almighty hands. Our God once made the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers cleansed, and the dead resurrected.

This is very interesting; last Sunday's topic was Abounding in Hope Through the Power of the Holy Spirit. I thank God that the gospel I believe in is a gospel of great power, and that the gospel our brothers and sisters receive is also a gospel of great power. So today, if we are still in a state of panic, you can easily walk out of it, you can trust in God. In the past one or two weeks, many people have been delivered. Why? Because of the attack on the spirit of lust, many people have been released from lust. In fact, we really thank God. Before being released, they could live to that day, live to the day of being released. Therefore, today's scripture will be passed down to future generations forever and ever.

V. To Be Passed Down to Future Generations, Forever and Ever

So, I will talk about the fifth point, in Isaiah 30:8:

Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, as evidence for the future, forever and ever. For these are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. (Isaiah 30:8)

Trust God, Be Peaceful and Stable, Be Patient

What is transmitted? What is transmitted is that strength lies in quietness and trust, and that salvation lies in returning to rest. I am really grateful to God! Last Friday when we talked about Leviticus, we also talked about this. On the Sabbath, no laborious work can be done. Why? Because we do not live by working hard, what we rely on is our God. So this saying is very meaningful, it must be transmitted to future generations, forever and ever. I tell you, the arm of the Lord God has never been shortened. In the past period of time, some of the people I have served have such conditions, doing things hastily.

I'll give you an example. Of course, this person should forgive me after hearing this, and don't blame me. Maybe this is not you, so don't take it personally. One of our sisters did a business and became impatient to make money quickly, but lost money. After losing money, she came to find me. I have experienced this a lot. She wanted me to pray for her and for things to improve immediately. As a result, the words that I said in prayer were not so pleasant, and since then she doesn't like me anymore. It has been many years, and her business has not improved.

Do you know that there is a desire in us: “I want this, I want that.” Listen to these words, what he wants is not at all God's destiny, not God. He is always anxious to make money. Today's words are very useful for such people, because strength lies in quietness and trust, and being rough, nervous, and not wanting to put effort into doing things well, how can you please God? Our God is a faithful God, and we must worship God in spirit and in truth.

For example, everyone knows about writing software, right? The software I write is stable software. Why? Because I put effort into building a good foundation for writing software. Let me reveal a little bit to everyone. The key to writing software is to determine what the data structure and page look like. The data structure is the foundational thing; if the data structure is not good, everything else is ruined. There is a term called MVC, where M is the data structure, V is the page appearance, and C is the code control. I usually carefully consider the architecture and set it up well. In fact, establishing a business is also like this. Don't be rough. Strength lies in quietness and trust. Being peaceful and stable not only does not attract ghosts; it also has power. If you want to fight ghosts, you often have to calculate it carefully.

Today God has inscribed it on tablets and written it in books so that it may be passed down to future generations forever and ever. Let us know not to be God's rebellious people, deceitful children. Being a down-to-earth person versus being a rough person, always wanting to be fast, fast, fast. Writing a software application that is not good yet, you must put it online, but as soon as it goes online, it collapses. Being anxious to do business and being anxious to make money, you end up not making money but making a lot of debt. I wonder what is this person doing? Isn't being alive a very simple thing? Why make it so complicated? Today, I remind everyone again, strength lies in quietness and trust, so don't be rough.

### Peace and Stability Lie in Being Grounded and Steadfast

A few days ago, a sister was blessed and even shared her testimony. After starting work, she drew a large circle on her head, as if her head was already too big, feeling overwhelmed. She exclaimed, Oh dear, there's just too much to handle! I responded, Too much of what? As soon as I hear someone say, There's so much to handle, I know they are not grounded. If one is grounded, from the ages of ten to twenty, they would have steadfastly grasped the essence of learning. If one is grounded from twenty to thirty, they would have established their livelihood skills. They would not say, Oh dear, there's so much to handle! They wouldn't have this problem. Then, if one is grounded from thirty to forty, they would be a middle or senior manager. If one is grounded from forty to fifty, they would start to get better and better, and it must be through being grounded.

When I look at a person's resume, I look for tangible achievements. If they haven't accomplished anything significant in their life, it speaks volumes. They are not a person of peace and stability, not someone who is grounded and steadfast. They will likely not amount to much in their life. Some might say after hearing this, Are you cursing me? It's not me cursing you, but God cursing you! If my curses were effective, you should thank me. The Bible says: God curses these people. These people often forsake the right path, deviate from the straight way, and then always want to do everything quickly. What's the fastest way to get rich? Robbing a bank, but the risk is too high. What's the fastest way to make money? Deceiving people.

So today, brothers and sisters, you must know, don't be impatient. Recently, I've been leading you to read the Book of Ecclesiastes a lot. What's the rush? This gives us a very big reminder. This is God wanting this matter to be passed down to future generations, forever and ever. Today, we see that God, more than two thousand years ago through the Book of Isaiah, told us: salvation lies in returning to rest, strength lies in quietness and trust. But today, are you willing to be a person who trusts in God? Or are you willing to be the kind of person described in the time of Isaiah, who wants to do everything quickly, quickly, quickly, carelessly and without being steadfast? Some people don't want to build a foundation, don't want to build a first floor, don't want to build a second floor, they just want a third floor, build a third floor directly. How great would that be, saving money and effort! But the problem is, how do you build it?

There are so many people who are not peaceful and stable! Always wanting to be fast. In the ministry, I've seen even more people who are not peaceful and stable. Thank God! I am a steadfast person. Someone gave me a very good suggestion: spend the first ten years in the church quietly building the church well, serving God well, and shepherding the brothers and sisters. In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed. I've been doing it quietly like this, I've been doing it in a grounded way. Today, look at our website, how rich the content is. In 2013, a sister came among us, she listened to everything on the website. A few days ago, she told me she can't listen to it anymore, there's too much, she has to search to listen. How many years has it been from 2013 to now? How much has been accumulated? In these years, I've written over seventy books alone, that's also tens of millions of words.

Be grounded and steadfast, whether it's writing software, running a business, or managing your own life, it requires faith, it requires faith in God, and joy in your labor. Don't end up with summons and lawsuits from the court. What are you doing? What are you busy with? I just have some reflections, and I'm giving everyone a reminder today.

## VI. What People Rely On and What People Pursue

 ### If People Don't Pursue God's Righteous Path, They Will Walk Down a Wicked Path

Why are people not peaceful and stable, and refuse to be so? Because the goals people pursue are different from the goals God wants! The goals people pursue are not a righteous path. Our God is definitely not a God who encourages people to walk down a wicked path. Our God is a God who leads people to walk the righteous path. In the martial arts world, some people practice into demonic ways. Why? Always wanting to achieve quick success. You need to know that when practicing martial arts, whether it's plum blossom piles or horse stance, those are all fundamental skills. Holding a horse stance for three years, the lower body is very stable. But when practicing martial arts, they don't want to put in the effort, they just want to quickly become the number one martial artist. As a result, they rush into the Nine Yin Manual. The person who practiced the Nine Yin Manual was Mei Chaofeng. In the TV series, Mei Chaofeng is neither human nor ghost, looking like a ghost, like a skeleton. Why? Because she practiced the demonic martial arts, not walking the righteous path.

So anything that wants to take shortcuts will not be fast. Why? Because our God is not an impatient God at all. When our God created the universe, it wasn't quickly, quickly, quickly. The darkness wasn't even separated yet, where would you put the person you created? In outer space? Wouldn't that become a mummy in space? Our God is not like that. On the first day, God separated light and darkness, what did He create on the second day, what did He create on the third day, very orderly, and definitely not creating everything in utter chaos. Imagine, if the created earth was bare, dark, and had nothing, like Mars, and you put a person on the earth, what could they do? Become a mummy on earth? Our God is not such a God.

If you want to practice martial arts, but don't walk the righteous path, you will end up like Mei Chaofeng. If you want to make money, but don't walk the righteous path, you will end up like a swindler. If you want to create, but don't imitate God's orderly and gradual approach, laying a good foundation step by step, what you create will all be mummies, and you can't even make a good mummy. If what people pursue is all quickly, quickly, quickly, very impatient, it's difficult to walk the righteous path. For example, there are many people who get rich quickly in the financial industry, a lot of people get rich quickly by speculating on houses, a lot of people make money with P2P, a lot of people make money with pyramid schemes, a lot of people are engaged in Ponzi schemes and rat societies. Do you know what a rat society is? It makes money very quickly.

 ### Not Walking the Righteous Path Leads to Tragic and Difficult Endings

In those years, I went back to my hometown to live with my mother. There was a Lao Ma Le opened downstairs from my mother's house. As soon as I saw it, I knew what Lao Ma Le was doing. I told my mother, Stay away from it, don't get scammed. It's name is Lao Ma Le, but in reality, they are secretly Happy Old Moms, and many old people invest their life savings into it. These people say, You invest money, you'll get your money back in three months, and then you'll receive money every month. The first few people really got their money back in three months, and received money every month. This was incredible, and a lot of people poured in. As a result, my prediction was indeed correct, it closed down not long after, and no one knew where the people went.

Does the money come quickly? Yes, it does! But I later discovered that the endings of people who engage in these Ponzi schemes are very tragic. They end up scamming others and getting scammed by others, just not walking the righteous path. I still admire some people, for example: Ren Zhengfei, I admire him very much. He just focuses on technology, he just focuses on doing practical work in a grounded way, he just focuses on making breakthroughs in technology in a real way. Even with the US's technological blockade, he can still hold on until today. Is this easy? It's not easy. Is it stable? Definitely stable! I have never seen a Ponzi scheme company that can last for 100 years. In 2008, a century-old store went bust, called Lehman Brothers. Why? Because they wanted to be fast. As a result, the century-old store collapsed. Why? Playing Ponzi schemes. Isn't this deceiving people?

What people pursue and what people rely on is oppression and perversity. They don't walk the righteous path, they pursue worldly things, they rely on connections, they rely on relationships between people, they just don't rely on a relationship with God, they rely on fast animals, they rely on old horses. As a result, their emotions are very uncomfortable. Don't blame me for not reminding you! What people rely on and what people pursue, if you pursue vanity, how can you walk the right path? A person should pursue their destiny in life, which is why I am alive! If people come to worship Jesus, some people go to worship Ksitigarbha, and later worship Jesus as Ksitigarbha Jesus. Some people go to worship Manjushri, and some people worship Jesus as Manjushri Jesus.

So this depends on what people want to pursue. The Bible has long told us that people living in the world, pursuing these things is vanity of vanities, but we still pursue them, and the result is being at enmity with God. How much courage do you have to be at enmity with God? What people rely on and what people pursue determines where they will go. How can these people be delivered? The only deliverance is suffering, the only deliverance is God. You need to let them know that God gives them hardship as bread, and affliction as water. Don't pursue these things. So, when people pursue these things, the sin is on them, and then you will despise the words of God's instruction. Then what you want to hear and what you don't want to hear will be separated.

## VII. What You Want to Hear and What You Don't Want to Hear

 ### People Want to Hear Gentle Words, But Don't Want to Hear Straightforward Words

The sermon I preach is a bit heavy, everyone should know that this is also something I've been thinking about for a long time. In the Book of Isaiah, it says:

> “For they are a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the law of the Lord; who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.” (Isaiah 30:9-10)

When you come to me, do you want to hear the words of God, or do you want to hear empty words? Do you want to hear the truth, straightforward words, or do you want to hear lies? Do these people know that they are disobeying God? They know! How could they not know? Then when they meet me, I like to tell the truth. They don't want to hear it. If they don't want to hear it, I won't say it. Don't tell me, Do not prophesy to us right things, do not tell me to walk the right path, do not see bad things.

 ### Whether You Want to Hear Straightforward Words or Not, Forsaking the Right Path, God Will Surely Curse

I once argued with someone, and later I realized I was very foolish. Isn't it boring to argue with someone who is three eights are twenty-three? He kept arguing with me: God is not a God who brings disaster, God only blesses and does not bring disaster. But I said you should go back and read the Bible carefully, but he just doesn't believe it.

> Yet he is wise and brings disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers. (Isaiah 31:2)

Whether you want to hear it or not, what is destined to come upon people will come upon people. Look at these people who deviate from the right path, and don't even allow people to say it. After saying it, they don't want to hear it, and they say not to curse them. Some people love the world so much that when they leave the church, they reach an agreement with me: Pastor, I only ask one thing of you, don't curse me behind my back. I said, I promise you, I won't curse you. But there are those who curse him, that is our God. Today, brothers and sisters, Christians who believe in the wrong gospel are cursed, Christians who preach the wrong gospel are cursed, pastors who talk nonsense are cursed, and Christians who like to listen to nonsense are also cursed.

So brothers and sisters, you must know today how heavy these words are! Don't forsake the right path, don't run on crooked paths. If you run quickly, God has prepared something for you. If God loves you, He will definitely prepare some bread and water for you. What are these bread and water? It is hardship as bread, and affliction as water, so that you may know to return to the peace and stability of trusting in God, and return to the image of our God, whether you want to hear it or not.

## VIII. Hardship as Bread, Affliction as Water

 ### God Will Surely Discipline His Children

Some people say, Pastor, don't preach these words, I don't want to hear them! No, unless you turn it off.

> And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

So, brothers and sisters, do you know? Our God does not want us to perish, our God does not want His children to perish, our God will truly discipline His children. When a person goes astray, they will definitely experience a lot of things. But after experiencing these things, should we still stiffen our necks and continue to move forward? Should we scurry around like a headless fly or a headless chicken? So brothers and sisters, our God is our teacher, He will no longer hide!

## Trust in God's Word, Return to the Right Path

Today among us, those who need deliverance have already experienced hardship, have already experienced difficulties, can you listen to what God has to say? This is the right path. You know that many brothers and sisters among us often treat heretical things as truth. For example, dizziness, blurred vision, every time I minister to such people, I lead them to the right path, and they get better after praying for a while. After a while, they go back again. Why? Because there is too much garbage in people's minds.

Today, brothers and sisters, you must know that it is not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord. If we rely on this and rely on that, using only the logic of catering to the flesh, and thinking with only carnal things, where can you go? If you don't end up in sickness, who will end up in sickness? Why must hardship be your bread and affliction be your water, why must you walk this difficult path?

People should quickly return to the right path, speak only the words of God, preach only the gospel of God, and let the words of God fill us. What is better than peace and stability? What is better than peacefully and stably trusting in God? If you want to talk about beauty, trusting in God can make you beautiful. If you want to talk about health, trusting in God and being peaceful and stable can make you healthy. From today on, deal with the lusts and emotions within us. What we pursue is our God's beautiful plan for us, is our God's Mingding Destiny for us, no longer being a flustered person.

## IX. God Will Guide Us to Walk the Right Path

 ### Turning to God Who Has Been Waiting for Us for a Long Time

Today, ask yourself carefully, what do you want? What is your purpose? What is your goal? What is your method? What is the path you are walking? If you are walking a crooked path, God must guide you, God must guide you to the right path. If you haven't learned enough lessons, if you haven't experienced enough disasters, then continue to experience them, good luck to you! So when you listen to what I preach, you should know what our God is doing. Our God is waiting for those who wait for Him, waiting for those who seek Him, to guide them to walk the right path. In fact, when we turn to God, we immediately experience the power of God, we experience the healing of God. After experiencing the healing of God, God is so good. What's there to exclaim about? God has been waiting for you there for a long time.

Many brothers and sisters among us have experienced a lot of disasters in the past few years. Why? Because they pursue the worldly system of logic, live in worldly hopes, and then live in a neurotic, tense, and stressed state. But today, are you willing to surrender? Strength lies in quietness and trust. I think after listening to my sermon, are you willing to say, God, I want to rely on you! I am really tired inside, I am very weary, and I am very exhausted. Today I begin to learn to trust in you, to walk the path of peace and stability. I want to be steadfast and grounded, to lay a good foundation for my faith step by step. I want to be peaceful and stable, you are the God who fights for me, you are the God who is there waiting for me to turn to you.

The Lord will wait to be gracious to you, and he will exalt himself to show you mercy. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. Brothers and sisters, can such things and such words inspire us to begin to turn to God? God has already been waiting for us there for a long time. What's the rush? What's there to rush about? What's the point of running quickly into the coffin? Life of man is short and full of trouble, are you willing to return to peace and stability? Are you willing to return to faith in God? Are you willing to trust in God? If we have eaten enough hardship and drunk enough affliction, then today we begin to walk the right path that God wants us to walk. Just tell our God: God, I want to be guided by your Spirit.

> For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:8)

 ### Trusting in God, No One Can Stand Against Us

Today, brothers and sisters, do you know? In the days of Isaiah, there was an Assyrian Empire, which was a very powerful empire. It destroyed the ten tribes of Israel, called the Kingdom of Israel. God kept the Kingdom of Judah for him. As a result, God was going to fight for us and punish the Assyrian Empire. The strongest country in the world could not compare with God. The strongest enemy you have in the world cannot overcome you. If you trust in God, if you trust in God, God will surely fight for you. If you trust in God, you will find peace and stability in God. Who can stand against you? Who can stand before you?

## X. Conclusion

 ### Returning to Jesus Christ, Living for God, Becoming a Vessel for Manifesting God's Glory

So today, brothers and sisters, let's make a summary together. Why are we living? Are our goals set wrong? Are our strategies wrong? Are our methods wrong? Today, these words remind us that we need to return to Jesus Christ, trust in Him, rely on Jesus Christ for peace all the days of our lives, rely on Jesus Christ for joy, not only rely on Him, but also live for Him, He is the purpose for which we live. Don't pursue things with unclear goals, unclear strategies, and wrong methods, where can you go in life? You can only end up in destruction.

Today, return to Jesus Christ, because our God is the God who fights for us. If you have eaten enough hardship and affliction, and have suffered enough from the problems brought to us by the enemy, then today return to Jesus Christ, and refocus our goals on the words revealed by Jesus Christ. We want to become people with Mingding Destiny, no longer living for ourselves, but living for the Lord Jesus who was crucified for us. From now on, offer ourselves as living sacrifices, trusting in Him for life. Then you will surely be peaceful and stable, and you will surely enjoy blessedness. In this world, you will boast in the name of Jesus Christ, and you will become a vessel for manifesting God's glory.

May God bless you all!
