Today, my topic is: Why is healing and deliverance by my pastor particularly effective for me?

Before addressing this topic, I want to first talk about why a person's self-administered healing and deliverance is particularly ineffective. When someone prays for themselves alone, the effect is quite poor. What kind of prayer can quickly and efficiently eradicate sickness? The answer is ministry. A minister and one being ministered to. The minister serves the one being ministered to through healing and deliverance. This is a particularly crucial point. We must grasp the key.

Recently, our pastoral district had such a model for healing and deliverance. We have a brother in our pastoral district who is a senior executive in a company, very capable in his work. In his job, he often needs to handle problems like: How to train up a rebellious and unskilled hoodlum, enabling him to quickly master the production process and minimize waste; how to make people who lack a sense of belonging feel responsible and avoid making foolish mistakes after joining the company. In company management, he has grasped the key, but management is not shepherding, and a company is not a church. Managing a company well has little to do with the growth of his spiritual life. Your worldly talents do not naturally prove that your ability to pastor will be good. The Lord Jesus did not choose learned and talented people to be his disciples, but rather chose uneducated commoners. You cannot manage a church in the same way you manage a company.

So what way did the Lord Jesus build the church? It was through healing, deliverance, and Bible study, and through the method of ministry, looking down to help those being ministered to study the Bible. Ministers helping those being ministered to receive healing and deliverance, no matter if thousands come, this is how to build the church.

We also have a sister in our pastoral district who has grown very rapidly in healing and deliverance recently. Yesterday, she prayed for the son of a sister, a boy who disdained Christianity, but who had a stomachache yesterday. His mother had no choice but to find a pastor to pray for him, and in 20 minutes, he was completely healed. This was not psychological: he was in so much pain and had some resistance to Christian belief, but in 20 minutes, he was completely healed. What is God revealing? God is saying: We must do the ministry of healing and deliverance. Seeing such a result, shouldn't you pay more attention to healing and deliverance?

I once said these words to this sister: Our church is developing so quickly, we really need you sisters to rise up! As a result, this sister said: I am not as capable as my husband, let my husband do it. I later said: In fact, the effectiveness of pastoring speaks volumes. Actually, this sister's husband is also a senior executive, very skilled in technology and management, but he is very concerned about saving face. Being overly concerned about face is a great hindrance to healing and deliverance ministry. So God will use pain to force people to accept the ministry of healing and deliverance.

Let us return to the example of the first brother. Some time ago, he had shoulder blade pain, a pain that is difficult to treat, with no good treatment methods. He works in a factory, and his daily physical labor is considerable, which is really hard. This brother does not feel pain in the morning, but it gets more and more painful. By two or three in the afternoon, he can hardly work, aching to the point of being unbearable. But when others see him, they cannot feel his pain, and instead accuse him of not working, which is simply unbearable for someone concerned about saving face. This situation is really hard. What kind of pain is the hardest to bear? It is knowing that the pain will gradually become unbearable, knowing from the morning that he will become more and more painful, and that his faith will be crushed bit by bit. Why do I know this kind of pain? Because I have also experienced this kind of pain. When I was in school, I was in pain every day, like ice, as if my bones were cracking. Every morning I didn't hurt, but at night I was in terrible pain. This cycle every day, tearing from good to bad. What is tragedy according to Lu Xun? It is tearing beautiful things for you to see.

Then this brother also said to me: Brother, I really prayed. I prayed in the car. Whenever I have time, I pray. Actually, this brother prays for two hours on his way to and from work, but it is ineffective. His voice almost tearing, he said to me: What kind of faith do you want me to have? I really prayed for a long time. I really am not disbelieving God. This brother is actually a very faithful brother, but he prays without effect. What to do? The pain is there, but praying has no effect. What can be done? This is one question we want to discuss today.

2. Scripture

Through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women). so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. (Acts 5:12-16)

Lord Jesus, you performed so many signs and wonders through the hands of the apostles. Freeing those who were oppressed and captive. Healing those from all over the region of Jerusalem. Lord Jesus, enable us to imitate your ministry, to increase the number of those who believe in the Lord, and may all places reached by our ministry network come before you, receiving your healing and grace.

4. The Apostles' Healing and Deliverance is Super Effective

God performed many signs and wonders among the people through the hands of the apostles. Some hoped that Peter's shadow could heal diseases. They are people, and we are also people, but our faith has not reached this level. Why has the faith of these people reached this level? Because Peter and they did similar things, healing people through handkerchiefs. Why is the ministry of the apostles so effective? Because those being ministered to have extreme faith in Paul's ministry, and those being healed know how effective Paul's ministry is. The ability of healing and deliverance is attracted by faith. It is precisely because everyone has super faith in the effectiveness of Paul's ministry that it is particularly useful.

The apostles' ministry, the healing and deliverance ministry, is very useful, and they were all healed. The miracles of healing performed by Jesus are actually beyond the scope of human understanding. Such an exercise of faith is rarely seen, but Jesus clearly did this and recorded it in the Bible. For example, after the soldier's ear was cut off, it grew back as soon as he touched it. Clearly recorded in the Bible, how great this ministry ability is! The key to miracles lies in ministry. There was a man who was lame from birth, and Peter said: I have no silver or gold, but I can give you what I have. In the name of Jesus, I command you to rise and walk.

The healing and deliverance of the apostles is very useful. Today, we will explore this question: Why is the pastor's ministry particularly useful? In two words, ministry. There are ministers and those being ministered to. Ministers minister to those being ministered to. This is in accordance with God's will.

Ministry is when ministers minister to those being ministered to, and this is in accordance with God's will, because the effects are clearly visible. Why is it effective through the ministry of healing and deliverance?

6. The Ministry of Healing and Deliverance, Exercising Obedience, Building Faith

The foundation of everything is faith. What is faith? A sister has suffered a lot recently, and her relationship with her pastor is very rigid, for reasons she doesn't understand. We are very clear that this is because of a demon. I said to this sister that you should seek your pastor for healing and deliverance. This sister said, I will do whatever you say (in a helpless tone). This sentence suddenly made me understand the problem. They do not understand the essence of obedience at all.

The essence of obedience is faith. Obedience is not just doing exactly what God tells you to do. Faith is doing what God says and believing that there is a wonderful will of God in letting me do this thing. Don't view your God or your pastor as malicious. Full-time ministry is salaried, while part-time ministry is not. Be sure to clarify the essence of obedience.

Abraham obeyed God and offered his son, believing that there was God’s good meaning: he thought that even if his son was burned to ashes, he could be resurrected, and that there was even more of God's good intention. This is faith. Obedience is not endurance. People are not able to endure much, and one day they will explode like a pressure cooker.

This sister does not understand the essence of faith, nor has she practiced a heart of obedience in the ministry of healing and deliverance. In the ministry of healing and deliverance, believe that you will be healed, believe in the words of those being ministered to, this is practice.

Returning to the example of the brother at the beginning, he came to me and the pastor to pray, and in twenty minutes, he was quickly healed. God wants to train you this way. Many highly educated intellectuals and executives are very smart, but not wise enough. There is a brother who is a highly educated intellectual, very smart, but not wise enough. Lying in bed during meetings, he falls asleep, making his wife very angry. Sometimes after the meeting, he copies the notes of other brothers and sisters and posts them. Really smart, but the smarts are not used in the right place, not used in the things of God.

This brother is like someone who speculates in stocks. When many people are buying stocks, he just doesn't buy them, proving that he is great. But when we don't pray during meetings, this is really not wise.

7. Healing and Deliverance Ministry Builds the Church and Connections

Why is it that the prayers of your ministry workers are so effective? Because the healing and deliverance ministry builds the church and connections!

Some people focus their lives on eating, drinking, and having fun, but that is not the key focus or the top priority. It's like how the pastor speaks of godly things at every meal. Previously, a sister was walking on the streets of Hong Kong when she saw a Buddha statue. She found it in a pile of trash and, after being ministered to by the pastor, was healed. However, she eventually left the church. Before leaving, she told us that she wanted to help her mentally ill friends in her own way, not through healing and deliverance. She also felt that it wasn't about being unwilling to pay the price. As everyone knows, social media posts can be very spiritual. After this sister left, she posted things like Must-Try Hong Kong Cuisine on her social media. This is actually the spirit of loving the world and craving worldly things. We must confront the spirit of loving the world. We cannot overcome that demon alone, but we can through the church because the body of Jesus Christ is at work.

Let me share a positive example: the pastor and Sister QL started slowly, but then sped up. The connection between them was a flash kill. Why? Because it was secure. This attracts more faith, and your ability to heal and deliver will become faster and faster. God's will is to build the church. Your ministry will be very useful. Next, we will discuss that healing and deliverance ministry emphasizes inheritance, making it accurate and efficient.

For example, if A ministers to B, how should B minister to C? If you use healing and deliverance, there will be inheritance. Paul said that the church is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets. What is the gift of the apostles? This truly has to do with the pastor. He extracts all the best parts, and you just inherit them. The pastor has said, I have experienced so much suffering. I don't want you to continue suffering. Those ministered to by the pastor will inherit. If you do your own thing, the results will definitely not be good. Pioneers innovate.

Practitioners are already practicing. When we do healing and deliverance ministry, those being ministered to will imitate your actions. This makes it accurate and efficient. The five steps of learning are: I do, I do, you watch; you do, I watch; you do, others watch. This perfectly explains healing and deliverance. The apostles do, then inherit. These people who try to minister do so independently under the care of the apostles. This kind of ministry perfectly combines teaching and service because God knows it is useful. We have two children in our pastoral district, but when they minister, they come across as strong leaders in their words.

You copy and paste, inherit and imitate. This is a very effective way to work. Copying and pasting is especially useful in healing and deliverance. This is why this ministry is so efficient. Healing and deliverance ministry creates battles and trains for battles. We must know that practice is the key.

I am a software engineer. Do you know what great programmers are like? No matter the method or form, they have similar mindsets. Even if I don't know how, I believe I can do it. In fact, the things we need to solve at work are all unknown. The faith to fight is crucial. Even if I don't know what the result will be, I will try it. But many people lack this.

8. Healing and Deliverance Ministry Creates Battles and Trains for Battles

Practice is the key. The practice of healing and deliverance ministry involves leaders arranging for their subordinates to practice healing and deliverance. The environment forces you into a state of battle. Many brothers and sisters who participate in healing and deliverance think, I can't hang on the stage; it's too embarrassing. The essence of problems is spiritual. We have a blessed brother in our pastoral district who doesn't have many worries, but his time management is poor. He thinks a lot and does little, with many distractions in his mind. Some time ago, when I ministered to him, it wasn't very effective. I taught him time management skills, but they didn't work. His efficiency was still low. This shows that my ministry strategy was wrong and I need to adjust. Another brother had the same problem, feeling tired about believing in God. He ministers effectively but always feels tired. I prayed and asked God. God gave me a revelation: they need deliverance. In the past, when people heard about deliverance, they would think I was criticizing them. But the answer God gave was to lead them in prayer. God's revelation is accurate: we need to deal with the spirit of saving face. The spirit of saving face is particularly corrupt, caring about whether the outcome of the ministry is good or bad. Healing and deliverance ministry solves problems and cannot be faked, so it forces people to solve the problem. You must solve spiritual problems in a spiritual way. Therefore, healing and deliverance, and the pastor's prayers, can solve problems.

10. Conclusion

I strongly encourage everyone to use healing and deliverance ministry to solve problems. Don't save face or be shy. Go to your pastor for healing and deliverance prayers. This is God's Mingding Destiny, so stop following your own desires.

I am emphasizing two points: healing and deliverance, and ministry. Use healing and deliverance to solve problems, and use ministry to solve problems. May the anointing of God's healing and deliverance continue to be poured out, and may God, through us who are willing to serve Him, continue to release those who are captive and oppressed. Thank God!
