Introduction
Good day to everyone. Let us delve into the Book of Exodus, Chapter 10. Whether you are joining us online or listening through the livestream, I urge you to read the original text before listening to this Bible study. Otherwise, you will not understand what I am talking about, nor will you be clear on whether it aligns with what the Bible says. Before studying, it is crucial to grasp the key points and the central theme. Essentially, this involves understanding God's intentions and what He wants us to do. This is of utmost importance! If we do not understand God's will, the reading becomes futile. Missing the central theme or interpreting verses out of context are critical issues. Speaking without grasping the core message can lead to unnecessary complications.
After reading the original text, take time to contemplate the main theme, which is an active approach to Bible study. In contrast, passively listening to a Bible study is a passive approach. Similar to watching television, some people actively receive information while others passively absorb it. Those who passively receive information may not retain anything after watching, simply experiencing it as entertainment. Passive reception leads to dullness, while active reception fosters intelligence.
Let us examine the central theme of this chapter. What is God conveying to us? It is about passing on to our descendants the things God did in Egypt, the signs He performed among them. This is an action, with the purpose that they may know that the Lord is God. What was passed on to the descendants of the Israelites? The events of what God did to Egypt.
What events did God transmit? One moment, frogs appeared; another, water turned to blood; sometimes, large hailstones fell, killing many people; and at other times, plagues came, causing livestock to die. None of these sound like good news. Is our God asking us to pass this on? Are these God’s actions? These are valid questions. We must strive to be informed, knowledgeable individuals, not ignorant ones. The Bible states:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6)
I understand that many people prefer ignorance because it requires no effort. If you desire knowledge, you must put in the work.
God is a God Who both Blesses and Sends Calamities
It is important to understand what kind of God we are dealing with. If people do not know God, it creates complications. Do not assume that the title of “Christian” can save your life. Thinking that because you were baptized on a certain date, you have turned to Jesus and can be saved. One day, you might be taken to a place filled with boiling oil and fires roasting people. You will be confused, thinking, “I am a Christian! How did I end up here?” This is the result of not knowing God! Chinese Mingding Destiny primarily emphasizes that we must strive diligently to attain completeness. These confusions are quite common among Christians.
The theme of Chapter 10 is to pass on to future generations what God did in Egypt. However, none of these events appear to be positive. Is God not a loving God? How could God do such things? You must be full of confusion. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart and repeatedly brought down calamities, which may seem like God is staging a farce. Why would God do such things? From a human perspective, we may be bewildered, but from the perspective of knowing God, it is good.
Let me give you a basic principle: do not argue with God. From a young age, I disliked being argumentative because I knew it would be disadvantageous! When my parents were about to hit me, I would immediately say, “I was wrong, I will correct it. Tell me how to change, and I will do my best.” This was to avoid punishment. Among my siblings, some would never beg for mercy, even if their mouths were beaten bloody. This would result in many more beatings and much suffering!
Later, I realized that some people like to argue with God for no reason, but they never get anywhere. Like the Egyptian Pharaoh, they only suffer calamities. I want to ask you a question: What kind of God is God? Why does God want us to pass on the calamitous things He did in Egypt to our descendants? You must know that we are writing this Bible. So why does God want us to pass this on? It would be so much better to pass on how God blesses people!
If we had a better understanding of Israeli history, it would be even more upsetting. The Israelites are God's people and chosen people, but they are thrown around and live very hard lives. In World War II, 6 million Jews were killed by Hitler, and the tragedy is unimaginable. Brothers and sisters must know, what kind of God is God? When we understand, we must resolve to be a God-pleasing person. Don't be a keyboard warrior in front of God, and don't be a keyboard warrior in front of people. What can you get out of it? God wants us to pass these things down, and God said in the Ten Commandments:
**visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and

Dedicate Yourself to Following God, Do Not Compromise with the World
I once served a pastor's wife, a shimu. She had over a hundred bone spurs, how did she get them? They came from God. Later we understood, it was because she hindered her husband from serving God well. Brothers and sisters must know, don't be surprised when we see God sending disasters, our Jehovah God both bestows blessings and sends disasters. Blessings are not the only things that come from God, disasters also come from God. Many people say we cannot speak curses, but in Galatians it says:
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! (Galatians 1:8)
This is God's word, God's will, how can we not say it? Some people just have to argue with me, saying that Jehovah does not send disasters. Read the Bible carefully, see if God is a God who sends disasters? God used Egypt as a demonstration, describing the disasters He sent on Egypt to all generations. As long as you read Exodus, you will see how powerful God is. I made a decision: In my life, I dare not oppose anyone, but I especially dare not oppose God! Do you all think this is a wise choice? We must know that Jehovah is God, we must know that the whole earth belongs to Jehovah. I have been speaking for so long, now let us return to the Bible.
Then Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, “This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you refuse to let them go, I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow. They will cover the face of the ground so that it cannot be seen. They will devour what little is left after the hail, including every tree that is growing in your fields. They will fill your palaces and the houses of all your officials and all the Egyptians—something neither your parents nor your ancestors have ever seen from the day they settled in this land to this day.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh. Pharaoh’s officials said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Don’t you realize that Egypt is ruined?” (Exodus 10:3-7)
Now Egypt is scarred and devastated. Struck by hail, attacked by plagues, the livestock are all dead, the whole of Egypt is a tragic sight. Moses and Aaron were summoned back by Pharaoh.
Then Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. “Go, worship the Lord your God,” he said. “But just who will be going?” Moses answered, “We will go with our young and old, with our sons and daughters, and with our flocks and herds, because we are to celebrate a festival to the Lord.” Pharaoh said, “The Lord be with you if I ever let you go with your women and children! Clearly you are bent on doing evil! No! Have only the men go and worship the Lord, since that’s what you have been asking for.” Then Moses and Aaron were driven out of Pharaoh’s presence. (Exodus 10:8-11)
Anyone who hinders us from becoming soldiers of Jehovah God, hinders us from becoming wholehearted and single-minded in loving and serving God, usually negotiates like squeezing toothpaste, with great obstruction. Some pastors I know, as soon as they move forward a step, they will see an invisible hand, like the Egyptian Pharaoh in the dark powers, hindering them. If you do not have a determination like Moses, as long as there is a little compromise, it is not God's will, it is not faith in God, and it does not please God.
Brothers and sisters must know that our God wants to bring us out from this world with all our heart and soul, to completely return to Him. Do not leave any private land! Do not be a fine soldier in God's kingdom with one leg and still leave the other leg in this world. Egypt refers to this world. So people either belong to the world or belong to God. Every person who has been made miserable by the world, who wants to come out of this world to seek God, takes every step with difficulty, and will see hindrances in the spiritual world at any time.
Our gatherings are in the evening to accommodate people who work. But some people often compromise on this matter, often working overtime or doing something else, thinking it doesn't matter if they miss the meeting. If we trust in God, but often compromise with the dark powers in the world, it is difficult to be blessed in this way, because it is not God's will. God's will is for us to be full of character, full of faith, and nothing else matters.
There is a sister in the church, who is now my colleague. Once their company was going to hold an annual meeting, and this sister, in order to come to the church to serve, said to her boss: I have a service in the church, I am very busy recently, I will not go. The boss was very angry when he heard this. Later she shared her experience with me in the church, so do you think she was afraid in her heart? Of course, she was afraid, what if the boss made things difficult for her in the future? As a result, a few months later, her salary increased the most. Did the boss forget about this? No! The boss just felt that this sister was very good, could God not manage this feeling? God can definitely manage it!
Later, the sister's contract was only two weeks away from expiring, and the boss did not mention renewing her contract. She was very worried about this matter and asked me what to do? Then I told her: Don't worry, God will surely provide, a person as faithful as you who loves God, what are you worried about? As a result, the next day when she went to work, the boss told her that a very good financial company located in the city center was recruiting for a very good position, and asked if she would like to go and see? The next day she went to work and started working, without missing a day.
So I encourage brothers and sisters, I don't see the meeting as so important, I see people's will as very important. Do you have that character and will? I am a very characterful person in my bones. Looking back on the many years of believing in the Lord, no matter if it was raining, hailing, or anything else, I have not missed a single Sunday. Because I fear my God, my God is the most important thing in my life. So in those years, my salary increased rapidly every year. My boss just liked me, which made many people angry. I went to Bible study when it was time for Bible study, and I usually squeezed out time to study hard and improve myself.
There is no room for bargaining when it comes to trusting God. I said to my boss: This time is set apart for God! It may sound a bit religious to you, but this is the decision I have made, and it is not negotiable! So everyone must know, do not compromise! I have seen many people without character often compromise on matters of believing in the Lord, compromising this way or that way. I tell you, it is difficult to receive blessings in this life! Because the Egyptian Pharaoh symbolizes a dark power, it will definitely try its best to hold you back and hinder you.
“The Lord be with you if I ever let you go with your women and children! Clearly you are bent on doing evil! (Exodus 10:10)
The Egyptian Pharaoh has had enough disasters, and at this time he is still qualified to talk about disasters, can he control disasters? If he could, he would not have experienced so many disasters before. This is the dark power of the world, even like this, it still scares people. A few days ago, there was an old man who was going to be baptized. This old man had worshiped idols for many years. As a result, the idol told him that if he was baptized, there would be disasters, so he was afraid and retreated, not daring to be baptized. When this kind of situation occurs, it depends on whether you trust in God or believe the devil's lies. If you believe the devil's lies, following the devil will definitely lead to disaster, because what God did to the Egyptians will also be done to these people.
Don't be afraid, everyone. After acting, you will know which path is the path of prosperity, and which path is the path of blessing. If the dark power can control disasters, is our God still called God? We must know that our Jehovah God is the God who controls blessings and disasters. If God does not allow disasters, who can send disasters to you?
So brothers and sisters must know, do not compromise! Just like Pharaoh, sometimes he says to let the young men go, and the children and women cannot go; sometimes he says that the women and children can go, and the herds of cattle and sheep must be left behind, there is always some room for negotiation. We must all return to our God with all our heart and soul, where is there room for these negotiations!
A few days ago, I served a sister whose husband is a foreigner. Seeing that she was studying, attending meetings, and growing every day, he was very dissatisfied with each other. He came over and wanted to smash her computer. She asked me what to do? I told her to be strong and sternly warn the other party to try smashing it, and if it was broken, they must pay for it in full. So brothers and sisters, this is not a matter of others taking away one or two wells from us, those things do not need to be cared about. But if someone hinders us from serving God, hinders us from becoming Jehovah's mighty army, then there must be a dark power behind it, and you can boldly declare the disasters that God will send on them. Perhaps their hearts can be softened, or perhaps they can know that Jehovah is God.
So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts; they invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts, nor will there ever be again. They covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured all that was left after the hail—everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees. Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt. (Exodus 10:13-15)
I ask you, after being hit by hail and eaten by locusts, these vegetables and fruits are gone, what will the Egyptians eat? What if they starve to death? Do you think God cares? God really does not care! You may be very surprised why God does not care? In fact, people live and die, it does not matter if one more or one less dies, it is the same if they die early or late. Because these are people who belong to the world. You will ask if there is no food to eat this year? God does not care! God only cares about His people.
God is not going to change this world for the better! Recently, a trend has swept the world, which is to transform the government, education, media, entertainment, culture, etc. What are you transforming? Transform here and transform there, go and take a look at the nightclubs and massage parlors, even the national government cannot be transformed, can you transform it? When have you ever seen God transforming Egypt? When have you ever seen God transforming this generation?
Everyone must know that this is not what I said, this is what the Bible says. In the last book of the Bible, Revelation, what is revealed is that God will send disasters and destroy this world, and the disasters are hundreds or thousands of times more serious than the disasters in Exodus. I cannot find any seven mountains in the Bible, seven graves are more like it. How can it be transformed?
What is our Mingding Destiny? Our Mingding Destiny is to let Jehovah's army come out of Egypt, establish a mighty army, and conquer cities and seize land in this spiritual world, trampling on the devil's enemies, and releasing those who are controlled by the devil. So brothers and sisters, what exactly is our task? What exactly is our Mingding Destiny? Do not be fooled by these words that sound good to people but are not spoken by God. Santa Claus looks very cute, distributing gifts everywhere, but that is not what our God looks like! Our God is so powerful!
God does not care how the Egyptians live, let them live as they please! God does not care about the things in this world, God cares about God's people. The question is, are you God's people? I have seen many pastors who read the same Bible as me, also do the work of pastors, and also do good deeds and good things. But when does the Bible want us to do those things? Although there are some, but the most important thing is that God wants us to come out of the land of Egypt, to come out of this world, and to build Jehovah God's mighty army.
Recently I shared with an English-speaking colleague what the gospel is. A group of people once came to the Corinthian church and bewitched the people of the Corinthian church, and they followed this group of people to believe in a gospel without power. Later, the Apostle Paul said:
Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to visit you. But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. (1 Corinthians 4:18-20)
We must know that the miracles God performed in Exodus were God bringingThe Israelites out of Egypt with His mighty arm. If you want to release people from the spiritual powers of darkness, then there are battles. So brothers and sisters must know that our gospel is like this:
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
This generation is full of people who can only talk, speaking persuasive words of wisdom, but cannot release people from the powers of darkness. Many people also do not have a church concept of building God's glorious church or establishing God's mighty army. The church that is built is also loose and accepts many of the devil's lies, and cannot fight at all. That is not what God wants! The theme of Exodus is that Jehovah's army came out of Egypt. We want to build, according to God's will, a mighty army that can trample on the devil's enemies and release God`s people in the spiritual world. Therefore, brothers and sisters who come among us, it is difficult for you not to experience miracles!
A pastor once challenged me, asking me if miracles are a sign of salvation? I felt very strange after hearing this, what is called a sign of salvation? There are many mouth cannons in this generation, but few big guns, what exactly do you want to do? Everyone can think about it carefully. Therefore, we can see many disasters. In this generation, people have thousands of ways to compromise, but they have no means of following God single-mindedly. In fact, following God requires no schemes, only courage.
A pastor once prayed for his mother's insomnia, but after praying for seven years, his mother's medication increased fourfold and she could not sleep even more. Later, he heard about what I was doing and asked his mother to come and find me. In the service, I dealt with his mother's carnal habits, and her insomnia was cured. How is this to be explained? Our gospel is full of God's power. Are you going to be Moses, who can bring on locusts by raising his staff to Egypt? Or are you going to be the Egyptian Pharaoh, who only argues with God, causing many disasters? Don't be a argumentative person! Originally, Pharaoh wanted to give Moses and the others disasters, but later he discovered that he had caused disasters to himself, so he quickly summoned Moses and Aaron.
Then Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “I have sinned against the Lord your God and against you. Now forgive my sin once more and pray to the Lord your God to take this deadly plague away from me.” (Exodus 10:16-17)
The ground is black with locusts, and you will feel sick if you walk past it on the road.
Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord. And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. (Exodus 10:18-19)
In fact, if God does not blow away these locusts and force Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave, is that okay? Of course, it is! But God wants to perform many miracles! Whether in the New Testament or the Old Testament, our God is absolutely not stingy in performing miracles. Our Jehovah God is a God of great power, great and awesome, and His name must be honored for all generations!
Today, we will pass on what God has done in us to our descendants. Whoever has experienced God, write down a testimony simply in two or three sentences. Brothers and sisters must know that the words I speak and the Tao I speak are not with wise and persuasive words, nor with words that sound like they understand, but with the proof of the Holy Spirit and great power! This is the gospel we believe in.
This gospel is the power of God and wants to save everyone who believes. From now on, do not believe in the powerless gospel, in fact, it is not the gospel at all! Back to the Bible, the locusts are gone, and the Egyptian Pharaoh is hardened again. I cannot let these Israelites go, if they leave, who will do my work here? Three million people, each creating one dollar a day, is three million a day, that's amazing!
But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness spreads over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.” So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. No one could see anyone else or move about during those three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived. Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, “Go, worship the Lord. Even your women and children may go with you; only leave your flocks and herds behind.” (Exodus 10:20-24)
Pharaoh is still hardened, always bargaining there, can't he be obedient? How long will he be hardened? The result:
But Moses said, “You must allow us to have sacrifices and burnt offerings to present to the Lord our God. Our livestock too must go with us; not a hoof is to be left behind. We have to select some of them to worship the Lord our God, and until we get there we will not know what we are to use to worship the Lord.” (Exodus 10:25-26)
Don't say the whole sheep, you can't even leave a sheep's hoof. This is called firmness, we just want to serve our God.
But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was not willing to let them go. Pharaoh said to Moses, “Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again! The day you see my face you will die.” “Just as you say,” Moses replied. “I will never appear before you again.” (Exodus 10:27-29)
Who died in the end? The Egyptian Pharaoh and every eldest son in the Egyptian family died. This is the content of Exodus chapter eleven. In fact, it is the death of two or three people in each family, God does not care. Brothers and sisters must know that the message we pass on to our descendants is the name of Jehovah is great and awesome! Our God is mighty, not only sending disasters, but also sending blessings. If a disaster is sent, see how much you can resist? What a big argumentative person. If you are as big an argumentative person as the Bull Demon King, then a disaster as big as the Bull Demon King will be sent.
Gentle and Humble, Honor Our God
We must know that from now on, do not talk nonsense. Our brothers and sisters have come to our church from different backgrounds, and their understanding of God is also fragmented. I want to tell you that Jehovah God both gives blessings and sends disasters, and now God is sending disasters to this world. Why does God send disasters? Because people's hearts are hardened. If the Egyptian Pharaoh was not so hardened, God would not have sent so many disasters. Think about it carefully, have you suffered enough? So I often ask everyone, have you eaten enough pig food? As long as people have eaten enough, they will repent and become soft. Learn to be gentle and humble and honor our God.
Always remember, God will surely punish those who hate Him for their sins, from father to son, to the third and fourth generation. God will never acquit the guilty. Although in the New Testament, Jesus Christ's precious blood can blot out sins, but that is for those who repent. If a person does not repent, his heart does not soften, does not honor God, and continues to argue with God, then slowly experience God! Do not keep saying that God has abundant love, God's abundant love is not for these people. God shows covenant love to those who love Him and keep His commandments, for a thousand generations. This is our God!
We must have a correct understanding of God! Start knowing to fear God, and constantly pass on what God has done to this world and to the Israelites to our descendants! It was not the Egyptians who determined the disasters of the Israelites, it was our God who determined the disasters released in Egypt. No longer be afraid, start to clean up the faith inside us. It is not your boss who determines your future, but our God who determines your future. From now on, never compromise in front of this world, and be determined to be a person who loves God!
May God bless everyone!
