Introduction
Good morning, everyone. Today, I’d like to share a topic I find particularly insightful, which is the eighth lecture of Building God's Glorious Church, titled God Does Not Dwell in Temples Made with Human Hands. God does not dwell in temples made with human hands; don't misunderstand this.
Throughout history, many have sought to build temples for God. Among them was a man named Herod. This Herod's father was the one who sought to kill Jesus, the Herod who killed many children, known as Herod the Great. The later Herod was the one who rebuilt the temple, the Herod who crucified Jesus.
This father and son had terrible luck. One sought to kill Jesus at birth, and the other sought to kill Him at the crucifixion. What did Jesus say about him? Jesus said he was an old fox. How could he be an old fox, when he was the one who built the temple? This Herod spent decades restoring the temple, investing both money and effort, yet that temple was destroyed by God, not one stone left upon another.
Today, many popular tourist destinations in Europe are these grand churches, with as many cathedrals as there are temples in China. But does God truly dwell there? God does not dwell in temples made with human hands. Thank God, He did not destroy those cathedrals; they have even become tourist attractions.
We often say, Build God's glorious church, build God's temple, but if this matter is not understood, the outcome will be like that of those two Herods. So, what is it that God truly desires? We must understand what God truly desires. God wants people, not a building.
Jesus taught us to fish for people, not to acquire grand cathedrals. God wants the treasures among people. Many desire to build God's glorious church, but does the church they build truly have God's presence and glory? This becomes a significant dilemma.
We have a sister in Malaysia, and a brother from her church recently contacted us. Why did he contact us? Because he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and it had already spread. In fact, he had been listening to our sermons for many years, but he only came to us after the nasopharyngeal carcinoma had spread. There are many who thirst in their church because the things the local pastor preaches do not nourish the brothers and sisters; they are spiritually starved and run to our website to listen.
They steal food, and I don't mind. They are sheep from their church stealing food, and the pastor is completely unaware and even advises them not to listen. I find this very strange. They are not being fed and have to go outside to find food, yet the pastor tells them not to steal food. Why? Because they asked the pastor, Can we listen to this? Their pastor said, No, you can't.
They asked, Why can't we listen? Is it heresy? After listening a bit, the pastor felt it wasn't heresy, just a bit extreme. I like that, trusting in God's word requires extremity. Then many brothers and sisters in his church started listening to our sermons, and his church started to decline.
I lamented, doesn't building God's glorious church require being God-centered? They have several centers, which results in being two-timing. I have only one center, which is being God-centered. Building God's glorious church cannot involve balancing with family, balancing with work, balancing with everything. Building a church that cannot heal cancer but instead contributes to people getting cancer, isn't that abhorrent? Does such a church have God's presence, or the presence of demons?
Many years ago, I had a concept that many churches have demons, and they are particularly powerful. Initially, I found this difficult to understand. Later, I gradually realized that pastors are particularly prone to attracting demons, and Christians are also prone to attracting demons. If you are not a Christian or a pastor, it seems less likely to attract demons, but becoming a pastor makes you particularly prone to attracting demons.
This is strange. Reading God's word over and over, but not understanding it. Why? Because he reads it with his own logic. Don't think this is strange; I only gradually understood it later and discovered that it is indeed the case.
Seeing the spiritual state of the church is truly heartbreaking. My heart aches not because I hope the brothers and sisters from their church come to us, but because I hope he can build the church into a church filled with God's glory, acting according to God's word.
In fact, Chinese Mingding Destiny is a very open theology. If you are willing to listen, then listen. I don't mind if you steal food. We encourage brothers and sisters to invite more people to understand and encourage more people to steal food from our doctrine. Our resources are abundant; if you can't finish eating, give more away. We hope God's will can be satisfied and not be selfish. When we see the spiritual state of the church, shouldn't we humbly repent? Yes, we should. If it wasn't done right in the past, can't we correct it now?
The church I am talking about inherits a theological system from a Taiwanese church, believing that God will heal, but they only believe that God will heal. Later, the pastor of this church died of brain cancer.
Another pastor was filled with hope and vision for building a church, hoping to create a spiritual church. As a result, he took out a loan before the pandemic to build a massive church, a new St. Paul's Cathedral, which became a tourist attraction. Many people went to that church to get married and take pictures.
Later, the pandemic came, and gatherings were not possible. He couldn't pay the debt because there were no offerings without gatherings. During the pandemic, the financial situations of both temples and churches had serious problems. This pastor couldn't repay the debt and ran away.
Can building God's glorious church lead to the pastor running away? You built a huge church, thinking you were great, but is that what God wants? That's not what God wants. God does not dwell in temples made with human hands! What does God want? God wants fishing for people. Why spend so much money on a building when people are the most precious?
The New Jerusalem that God wants to build, the new temple that God wants to build are all made of people. Each of us is a gemstone, and God wants to arrange these gemstones, these living stones, together to become His glorious temple. God wants to be with us, and we are with God. God's glory illuminates us, and God's temple does not need lamps because God is the lamp. Many people don't know that in God's eyes, we are the most important; they think that the little things we do are the most important.
Yesterday, I shared with our coworkers, Do you know? Many years ago, before I became a pastor, I felt that people were more important than things. Don't misunderstand this concept; think about it slowly. The water is a bit deep. Why are people more important than things? Because things are done by people, and people are the most important.
For example, he can lift ten kilograms, but you ask him to carry one hundred kilograms. Not to mention one hundred kilograms; he can't even lift twenty kilograms. If you train him well and make him able to lift twenty kilograms, won't it be easier for him to lift ten kilograms? So the key is training people. Training talent is the most important responsibility of management.
Later, I discovered that what we used to call the personnel department is now called human resources. Managing human resources is no longer about managing people's files, collecting information, or holding criticism sessions; it’s about developing you into a resource. This is human resources. A small island like Singapore is amazing! It has no resources; even water has to be bought from Malaysia. It has no mines, no oil wells, no water, and the land is small. But it has people, and people are resources.
So everyone needs to change this concept. If you know that what God values in His eyes is you, not the little things you do, it will be easy. Do you know how much God wants you to receive grace from Him? How much God wants you to be healed by Him? How much God wants you to receive benefits from Him? God wants to give His benefits to people, which is a perennial problem.
People don't think about being treasures in God's eyes; they think about grabbing money, and as a result, they grab a pile of debt. Isn't that interesting? Without God, what a desolate state. When I saw this state, I felt very desolate, so I volunteered to build a church, but I found that I couldn't do it either. But I have a repentant heart. If I didn't do it right, then I will study the Bible carefully to correct it.
Seeing this spiritual state so desolate, doesn't God's heart ache? Yes, it does. God is a healing God, but the church is a disease-causing church. God is a bountiful God, but the church is a debt-ridden church. Isn't that deadly? Not building according to God's word, without God's glory, not being cautious because of God's word, not trembling because of God's word, and then still saying that Chinese Mingding Destiny is extreme?
I'm not speaking idly; I'm saying this for you to hear. Are you cautious because of God's word, trembling because of God's word? Don't we read the same Bible? Why do we read it in so many different ways? Because people bring in worldly concepts. I often say be careful when being a Christian, and be even more careful when being a pastor because the attitude behind it is crucial.
A very famous pastor built a church, and many church pastors went there for training and learning. I also wanted to go to learn, but I didn't make it in the end. Why didn't I make it? Because I went to a church that was built according to his theological system.
After I went there, the pastor of that church shared with me the entire content and system of the training. I decided to study it. As a result, during the study period, my mouth was a bit loose, and I liked to share testimonies, sharing who was healed. Unexpectedly, this brought trouble.
The pastor insisted that I minister to two patients, one with hemiplegia due to a stroke. I thought, God, this is a bit difficult. The other wore a wide band supporting his head and a large waistband around his waist.
I said, What is this full armor for? Where are you going to a border? He said, No, my waist is not good, and my cervical spine is not good. I asked him what was wrong, and he said that when he lay down, he felt electricity from his neck to his feet. I said, How do you sleep? His face was sallow; he was a doctor himself. If you go to a hospital to see a doctor and find that the doctor is wearing a waistband and a neckband, fully armed, I think that would be a bit awkward.
I thought to myself, God, this is a bit difficult. May you have mercy. I gave twenty minutes of teaching and led them in prayer. I tell you, God is really amazing. It's not bragging; they were all healed! The person with hemiplegia was healed. It was already midnight, and I called a car to go home.
Later, I said, His logic is not working. In fact, our height at that time had reached what level? I had already written the first version of the 101 Course. I thought what I wrote was very good, logically rigorous, and the theological system was very clear. I originally wanted to go to learn, but instead I went to introduce my course.
That pastor said to me, If our church had your skills, the church would definitely be revived. At that time, I thought, I have had these skills for a long time, and according to many people, it is not very revived. Later, I thought, God understands me. There are too few treasures. This world can barely find so few treasures. Brothers and sisters, you are all very precious.
Then I tell you, the logic system of their course, the many things it talks about are not the word of God. I don't know where they put it together from. You say it's not a course, it is a course. You say it's a course, but it doesn't seem to be composed of God's words. Isn't that deadly? During the process of creating this Chinese Mingding Destiny, I am also constantly adjusting, correcting what is not done correctly. The standard of evaluation is God's word and God's presence.
I thank God that God has given me a soft heart. I am not so rigid. I value God's word, extremely value God's word, and I extremely do not value my own word. What God values is people! If the church values offerings, the number of people, and the church building, isn't that a tragedy? Doesn't God lament in heaven?
We must value what God values. Brothers and sisters, although I don't have so much time and so much strength to serve each of you, if your small pastor can't serve you, I am willing to serve you because you are the treasure that God values. We value what God values. God wants us to gain people, not to gain the offerings in people's hands. God wants treasures.
Many churches do what? Sing hymns, hold marriage retreats, do what? One lifetime, one husband, one wife. I have never found any of this in the Bible. They value these things very much. Did Jesus do these things? Jesus did not do them. Jesus did not lead a choir, Jesus did not lead a prayer team. What Jesus saw was sheep without a shepherd.
God will build His church on this rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Whatever the church binds on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever the church releases on earth will be released in heaven. This is what Jesus tells us.
Sheep without a shepherd, being controlled by evil spirits, what a tragedy! We let people return to the truth of Jesus Christ, let people be pastored in a church with God's presence, and become treasures in God's eyes. If not, do whatever you want to do.
What is the kingdom of heaven like? The kingdom of heaven is like someone casting a net. They cast a net, whatever is good put into vessels, whatever is bad discard. Many pastors build God's glorious church, cast a net, whatever is cast up, whatever is bad put into vessels, whatever is good discard. Because whatever is good, run to us, whatever is bad, leave it there. Can they build a church full of God's presence?
In our church, whoever leaves, I have not advised them to return. If they want to return, I have to weigh it up. Why? Building a church is not joking, not putting a pile of garbage together, but this garbage is not garbage in the eyes of people, but garbage in the eyes of God.
What is the kingdom of heaven like? The kingdom of heaven is like there is a treasure in the field, he for the sake of this treasure sell all and buy the land. If there is a treasure, God will buy the land. You see this affair, if there is one treasure, even the land will be acquired.
I urge everyone, if you believe in God then believe in God a bit extreme, God says then what way we will conduct. What is the heresy? Heresy is whatever is not God's words add with God's words, God's words omit, whatever not conform with self-concept all omit.
Distorting God's word is called heresy, believing in God, then have to be precise, have to be terrified because of God's words. Have to be a treasure within God's eye, if cannot conduct then never give up. I minister for all peoples, also depend on belief to hold fast will. The temples of God are all built up of treasures, we are that treasure. We need to know how God's words are spoken.
Therefore, we build God's splendid churches, and we ought to know that it is not you helping God to build. It is God who builds you up. God does not dwell in temples made by human hands. God build up self but uses a raw material of us. Although, we are in the great skies and northern and southern seas with people of all kinds. Therefore, we have a public mindset and a shared vision and mission. To strike a determination becoming the blessing in this generation.
Let use share of the announcement. We are this age of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. The society is because of can seen, those are felt very extremely. Then extremely go on, therefore God's words is such.
Scriptures
Next we reading the scriptures is written in 《Acts》 chapter 17, verse 22 - 31.
Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being’; as some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill.
In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”(《Acts》17:22-31)
Prayer
Let use pray together, Father God now reveal us. Let we know and break from the fallacy of the incredulous. Have we knew not lived by the hands of others, God helps establish but not the manual service. As to be need like what, that we are aware of the living condition, feelings, all things can originate from you.
O God have we come to seek you and have we have the seeking will seek, those can seek can certainly sought. Knocking that the door can definitely open for all person. O Father God open new pathway. That the door is the truth of knowledge how to join with you and walk with the words with apprehensive hearts. The God have saw with the compassion for God can trembles.
O that helper, the manual service is not just as like deficiency. Let we knows that condition is for the feelings. God help us to from the sanctimonious is coming now and we commence. We abandon of the own journey in the way you admire. O Father, we thanking, you have after and revive now. The God of Jesus Christ has after die restore vitality. That people have restored vitality to give the real and convincing evidence with strength in the place. Therefore, the great testification after the die and can restore to great efficiency. Can serve to do for the beautiful testimony. Depends on the name of God and the Savior Jesus Christ, amen!
The Context of Scriptures
Paul goes through the church on continuous built and it is such to the Thesalonian and Corinth and Ephesus church. The Paul can continuous but it is such to the church in the walk path and we watch the people on continuous after die and to revive to great efficiency.
After before the Thassalonesias at spent approximately 2 weeks giving the blessing. It the church has and that the people in the place is forcing them to catch and can run to the Biliya. At that place the Biliyas as to can know new message and do not have. But take with joy but diligently study the bible and that is for the old message.
But the Jews in Thessalonica, when they learned that Paul was preaching the word of God at Berea, went there also, agitating the crowds. As a result, Paul left Berea and went to Athens. In Athens, he saw the city was full of idols, and he was deeply distressed, so he preached the gospel everywhere. People said, what he's saying is quite interesting, so they invited him to the Areopagus. The Areopagus was a very important place, where many scholars gathered.
Arriving at the Areopagus, Paul delivered a short sermon, which is the text we are reading now. What concept did Paul express through this passage? That our God is the God who created the universe and everything in it. God is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
You may not know, man is actually very small, but very small people are very arrogant, thinking they are great. How big is the universe? The universe is so vast, it is said to have billions of galaxies, and each galaxy has billions of stars. How big is the solar system? The solar system is also very large, spacecraft built decades ago have not yet left the solar system. We are really that small.
Can such small people build a temple for the God who created the universe and everything in it? Build a temple for God to live in? Like us Chinese, we build a shrine at home, thinking that God lives in that shrine. We often have this idea.
I am struck by the thought, can the God who created the universe and all things live in a shrine? The God who created the universe and all things does not live in a shrine. Where does He live then? In Isaiah chapter 66.
Thus says the Lord: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came into being, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. (Isaiah 66:1-2)
So God does not dwell in temples made by human hands. God cares for people, how does He care? Through the tabernacle built by Moses, through the temple built by David and Solomon. But these things are not where God lives, it is only because the builders have that heart that God dwells among them. It's that simple, it is because of people that God gives us the breath of life.
So we have to get the relationship right. If you don't get the relationship right, you're just looking at the little things in front of you, getting one order after another, and you're upset if you don't get the order. We live our lives for these little things, living in a delusion. When we see such things, living on earth, we begin to seek God.
that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. (Acts 17:27)
In fact, the problems you encounter are to make you seek God! Seek God, perhaps you can feel your way toward Him and find Him. If you don't seek or grope, and just mess around, can you build a glorious church for God? No.
Then Paul put forward a concept, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, giving assurance to all men. This sounds simple, but if you want to explain it, what is this assurance? It is the Apostle Paul, he can also raise people from the dead.
When people see such miracles, they know that this is the Lord of life! Then they begin to build God's glorious temple, so that the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead may come upon us. Building God's glorious church, so that people can be healed and delivered in the temple of Jesus Christ, in the body of Jesus Christ. This is the background of this passage.
Not Served by Human Hands
When we serve God, we feel like we have done something great. We always feel like, I serve you, how can you be so ungrateful? But let me tell you, God does not need to be served by human hands. It is not we who are building God's glorious church, but God who is helping us build it together.
Our God does not need to be served by human hands, does not dwell in temples made by human hands. It is not that you are stacking bricks with your hands and getting tired, God does not need to be served by human hands. What does this mean? Chinese Mingding Destiny has clarified many difficult parts of the Bible.
For example, this person entered the vineyard at eight o'clock in the morning to work, then another person entered at ten o'clock, then another person entered at twelve o'clock, then at two o'clock in the afternoon, four o'clock, and another at six o'clock, and they just went to work and got off work. After getting off work, the one who came at six got one dollar, and the one who came at eight in the morning also got one dollar, and the one who came at ten also got one dollar.
You say this salary is low enough, but this one dollar is a big silver dollar from the Republican era. You think it's one dollar now, you can't even eat a bowl of noodles. When we were kids, one dollar was worth a lot. As a result, the person who came in at eight o'clock to work was not happy, I worked more than you, how can everyone get one dollar?
Because people think that working with their hands is a contribution, but it's not, it's grace. So serving is grace, what are you boasting about? Serving is grace, working is grace, God does not need to be served by human hands, in fact, you are experiencing God's presence in your work. You go in at eight o'clock in the morning, God is with you, you go in at four o'clock in the afternoon, you have God's presence. Who was he with before four o'clock? With the demons.
So you work with God for two more hours of grace when you enter at eight o'clock in the morning than if you enter at ten o'clock. Why are you yelling? No need to yell. Now we all understand that serving is grace, it is not serving God with our hands, it is grace, it is receiving from God, God does not really need us to work. If you don't work, OK, you lose out if you don't work.
Chinese Mingding Destiny explains it very well, don't ever think that you are here to help God. With your small size, what can you do for God? It would be good enough if you didn't mess things up for God.
Some of us who have high positions in companies, the most annoying thing is recruiting new employees. You not only have to do the work, but you also have an extra burden, you have to train them. You think that the newly hired employees are here to work, they are here to be trained. But many people are not well trained, really sorry for this grace.
Our God sees us in a similar way, as soon as we do something, we do it wrong. You think, if you do it wrong, wouldn't you have to take it apart? After taking it apart, you have to do it again. If God wanted to do it, He would have finished it long ago. It's so much effort for us to do something. I can finish it in an hour by myself, but I can't finish it in a day with those new people, because I do it too fast, they don't understand. If you let them do it, you will do it wrong if you don't see it in a glance.
What I'm saying is, I'm describing, God does not need to be served by human hands, if you don't do it, God's hands still hold up all things. Don't ever come before God and say: God, what else do you want me to do? Look how hard I've been trying to serve you, what else do you want me to do? As if God owes you something.
Building God's glorious church, you must not have the mentality of helping out. Some people want to help those poor preachers, but they become poorer than the preachers themselves, isn't that a problem? Some of us seem to love God very much, they think they are helping God, doing something great, but they are not. So don't ever come to help God again.
God Gives the Breath of Life to Man
We think that the things around us are normal, but they are all created by God. If we know that life, breath, and all things come from God. Then I ask you, do you still have problems with your offering? Then there is no problem.
God has given life, breath, and all things to man, but man forgets it when he lives on this earth, and thinks that these riches are created by himself. I ask you: did you create the land? Did you create the air? You think it's great to make money, but once people take money too seriously, they become foolish. Don't ever be foolish again, people don't really use that much money in a lifetime.
Some time ago, a sister said something interesting, she said: Husband, I want to renovate the house. Her husband said: I won't pay, you pay. The sister came to me and said: Teacher, why doesn't my husband want to pay? I said: I know, he is waiting for his liver to fail, 300,000, his kidney to fail, 200,000, calculate it, the money he earns is not enough to replace his liver and kidney, he is keeping that money to replace his liver and kidney. Because he thinks that his life and breath are sustained by his liver, but it is not sustained by his liver, it is sustained by other people's livers, by the money in his hands.
The sister said: Teacher, what's going on? I said: Go back and ask, is that the case? If you think about it, you will know, he is almost sixty, he has to plan for his future, if he wants to live a few more years, he has to plan where to spend his money? His money has to be spent on other people's livers, on other people's kidneys, in fact, he is also very hard in his heart, we have to understand. Because he does not know that God gives life, breath, and all things to man.
So there are two kinds of people on this earth, one is the person who lives in blessings, and the other is the person who lives in curses. You think, for the person who lives in blessings, all things are given by God, so God also protects him, isn't it easy for God to protect people? Like Abraham, his wife was taken away, he knew that God protects him, how did he know? He believed! Did God protect him? Protected him. God fulfilled what Abraham believed for him. You can't beat Pharaoh in muscle, you can't beat him in a fight, so what do you do? Trusting in God, nothing happens.
Once people recognize that God gives life, breath, and all things to man, it is not according to man's service to God. Originally, we are all receiving grace from God, so those who do not receive grace are just fools. So building God's glorious church, building the temple where God dwells, is a group of people who are humble and contrite in spirit and tremble at God's word.
Have you trembled at God's word? If you haven't trembled, then it's trouble. What does God's word say? So and so lived for so many years, and begat so and so, and then lived for so many years, and died, that's how people are. What for? To make people seek God, these things on earth become meaningless.
If you are not inheriting Abraham's faith, it is difficult for you to be blessed. One thing that God has opened to us is the door that Abraham opened. Abraham saw people living and dying, especially his brother, he was very close to his brother, who was his brother? It's Lot's father. How do I know he was very close to his brother? He adopted his brother's son, Lot, as his own child. When he saw these things, he began to seek.
Some people don't seek, and they become fools. He and his father and brother, the three of them went from Ur of the Chaldees to Haran, and then Lot's father died, which had a great impact on Abraham. Abraham asked his father: Dad, do you want to go with me? His father said: I'm not going, I'm going to stay in Haran, I'm going to die in Haran. Abraham said: Then I'm leaving. Why? He had already seen through the matter of living.
In the end, Abraham's father died in Haran at the age of 205, how old was Abraham? 130 years old. From the age of 70 to the age of 130, Abraham had not returned to his hometown to see his father in those 60 years. Who told you not to go with me, if you went with me, I would take good care of you, if you didn't go with me, then good luck to you, may God have mercy. So after Abraham saw it, he sought God, or groped and found Him.
That They Should Seek God
People should seek God, and between man and God, if it is idol worship, it is through the temple. Worshiping God, through the tabernacle, through the temple. I don't know where this logic came from, people seek God, or grope and find Him. We also have to seek this grope and find Him, seeing that people live this little thing, people live and die.
I have to tell you: you have to be a little stronger. If you are not strong, you will be disturbed by these things. Think about it, if your mother gets cancer, you must be sad. Recently, one of our sisters, her mother is sick, she went back to visit her, often taking her mother to pray with the recordings in the Whirlwind, and now she is much better.
We seek God, or grope and find Him, what do we get from groping, is what Abraham got from groping. At that time, his most beloved brother died, and his brother's son, Lot, was placed under his name. What did he get from groping? I wrote in the 101 Course, there are two things in life, blessing and curse.
If a person doesn't know where blessings come from and where curses come from in his life, then he is miserable. He chooses the wrong thing, he chooses to go into the curse. If a person lives in a curse, then it is miserable. So after Abraham sought, what did he grope for? That is, he wants to be a blessing to others.
Today we are walking the path of Abraham, becoming a blessing to others. We agree with Abraham's path, agree with his faith, and then we are blessed. So God who blesses Abraham will surely bless him, and God who curses Abraham will surely curse him.
This is the God that Paul went to Athens and spoke to them about, the God that the Jews and Israelites believed in. He went to Athens in the Roman Empire and spoke about the God that the Jews believed in, and later he spoke about Jesus Christ.
If people do not grope and do not seek, they feel that they are very good, as a result, the Athenians of Paul's generation became ancient people. The people of a hundred years later also became ancient people. After a while, we also became ancient people. Whether you seek or not, this thing is determined.
You may die heroically, or you may die sadly. Why? Because the difference between having God and not having God is too great. You have to ponder this matter, and after pondering it, you suddenly realize: I have the image of God on me, but how did I live like this?
We Are God's Offspring
We are God's offspring, God will surely take care of us. We have God's image on us, we want to become treasures in God's eyes. Why do we live like this? Because we choose to live like this. We don't know that we are God's offspring, we don't know that God has given us life and breath, we don't even know to seek God, we still think that we can help God, build a shrine for God or something, these are not needed!
Originally, we have God's image on us, how do we restore God's image? Building God's glorious church, working with God. Because God is with us, through the church, the church is the body of Jesus Christ, and then the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead will be manifested among us.
This is why when you come among us, thousands of kilometers away, when I pray here, you are healed over there, this is not bragging. God's power and God's word can travel through time and space, time and space cannot stop God's power. Our God, He raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and let the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead be manifested on us, this is our credible evidence.
So building God's temple is the body of Jesus Christ. You must know that in the future all things will be united in Jesus Christ, and we will be completely united with Jesus Christ, what a beautiful picture!
Summary
Finally, I will summarize with Isaiah chapter 66.
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What house will you build for me? Where will my resting place be? (Isaiah 66:1)
Do you see God's sigh? Where is my resting place?
This is what the Lord says: “All these things my hand has made, and so they all came into being,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 66:2)
God does not dwell in temples made by human hands, but what God's hand has made is God's resting place.
These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever presents a grain offering is like one who offers pig’s blood, and whoever burns memorial incense is like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations;
so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring on them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened; they did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.”
Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word: “Your own people who hate you, who reject you because of my name, have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ But they will be put to shame. (Isaiah 66:2-5)
You may not understand what you are reading, now I will tell you: if you tremble at God's word, you are in the minority, these people are the ones God looks after and protects. But some people will say, I will drive out these extreme people who tremble at the word of the Lord. They also say, may the Lord be glorified, so that we may see your joy.
Strange? Very strange! I am very moved, even if we are driven out today, we must tremble at the word of the Lord God. Why are we driven out? It is because of us, for the name of God, for the glorious church of God, for strictly keeping and following the word of God, how God's word says, we will do it.
Everyone must know that it is normal for people to dislike us, because they also dislike Jesus, they crucified their Lord, let alone us? The path they choose is what they like, but it is abominable in the eyes of God. Now you and I have to make a choice, to see what God's word really says. If we really trust in God, trusting in God will surely not be ashamed, God will surely be with us until the end of the world, until we see God's face.
God does not dwell in temples made by human hands, from now on we will no longer support God, but God will support us. If you and I have such a blessing, to have the same vision, to have the same Mingding Destiny, to build God's glorious church, God will surely dwell among us. We don't need to worry about a liver or a kidney, what we need is God! We don't need to worry about retirement, we worry about God's temple, God's kingdom. Amen!
May God bless everyone!
