【Bible Study】1 Samuel Chapter 16 - God's Election and Rejection

2022-10-05 18,575 1 Samuel Saul David Reverence for God Grasping the Essentials Divine Election Divine Abandonment

Introduction

Good day to everyone. Let us turn to 1 Samuel Chapter 16. In our study of the Scriptures, we have discerned a distinct pattern: grasping the central theme of a chapter unlocks its understanding. Indeed, mastering the skill of identifying key points and themes is a lifelong endeavour of utmost importance. The tragedies I have witnessed, be they lives lived in misery or disorder, stem fundamentally from a failure to grasp the essential. To miss the salient mark is a tragedy!

From the very start of your academic pursuits, you are taught to identify key points. But how does one grasp the essence? The author, in penning this sixteenth chapter, undoubtedly engaged in a process of mental formulation. If you have never composed an essay, or if you struggle with composition, you likely lack experience in this process. Those who wrote the Holy Scriptures were masters of linguistic stewardship, adept at wielding language to convey meaning with precision, ensuring no haphazard writing.

To discern the chapter's core emphasis, it is imperative to weave the entire chapter into a coherent whole. Failure to do so means it is not the message the author intended to convey. I propose the central theme of this chapter is: Divine Election and Rejection. If the narrative sequence begins with God's rejection of Saul, followed by the election of David, the theme is indeed Divine Rejection and Election. The initial segment speaks of God's election of David, whilst the latter speaks of God's rejection of Saul. The order of writing is as such, but the sequence of events differs; Saul's rejection precedes David's election. Why did God reject Saul? Because Saul did not diligently adhere to God's commands! Chinese Mingding Destiny cautions you, inasmuch as you have chosen the path of faith, having received the Holy Spirit and numerous blessings from God, to then become like Saul – is that not a tragedy?! It is a grievous thing.

Beware lest you be Rejected

To be rejected by God is a dire circumstance. Some may argue that they have seen cases of rejection without apparent consequence, where individuals continue to thrive. My retort is this: they were never truly chosen. If a person has been predestined, the Spirit of God will descend upon them, making the matter exceedingly consequential. I often contemplate, considering someone like myself, who has driven out one demon after another, subdued one fiend and then another, what tragedy would unfold should I forsake God or be forsaken by Him? Would not the demons seek to utterly destroy me? Therefore, I implore, “Lord, have mercy, grant me the grace to diligently keep and obey Your word throughout my days.”

Chinese Mingding Destiny essentially revolves around the dichotomy of diligently keeping God's word and failing to do so. You either adhere diligently, or you do not. Excuses for non-compliance are futile; treat them as fuel for baking bread. Understand the logical framework at play. If you are a Christian who wilfully disobeys God's word, devoid of interest in it, it may be that you were never chosen, and that is another matter; but if chosen and still so, that is indeed a tragedy!

There exists a preposterous doctrine: once saved, always saved. I find no basis for this logic within the Holy Scripture. Was Saul saved, or was he not? Some aver that he was. On what basis do they say so? I believe those who subscribe to this notion should revisit elementary school, for their training in textual comprehension is deficient. Is my statement overly harsh? Perhaps, but a return to primary education or a study of the “Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung” would be beneficial.

Whether Saul was saved or not is inconsequential; the life of Saul is a profound tragedy. It would have been better that he remained without kingship, for accession to the throne led to mental derangement; akin to a pastor who becomes afflicted with depression. To be chosen by God, only to be rejected later, is a tragedy. Thus, the doctrine of once saved, always saved, does not aptly apply to Saul's situation. As for those Israelites who perished in the wilderness, struck down by God, were Korah and his company saved? How could Korah be saved? Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and the two hundred and fifty elders were slain by God, bereft of glory.

Therefore, brethren, if you are among the predestined, those who have been divinely chosen, through whom God has wrought many deeds; should the Spirit of God frequently move upon you, even as it moved upon Saul; and the Spirit of God reside within you, as it did within Saul; what does this signify? It proves nothing more than Divine Election. But to be chosen and then forsaken by God is a true tragedy. Those who perished in the wilderness were abhorrent to God, so do not be mistaken.

I have come to understand that God holds little regard for the death of one, the killing of one, the crushing of one. In the wilderness, He crushed not a few, but tens of thousands! Therefore, brethren, learn to fear God! Let us glean wisdom from this matter, contemplating why God rejected Saul.

Why Did God Reject Saul?

Do you know that God rejected Saul, despite having chosen him? Election is one aspect; God bestowed upon Saul all that was warranted. God caused His Spirit to dwell within him. He not only allowed His Spirit to descend upon him but also greatly moved him, even listing Saul among the prophets. Yet, these are acts of God; you cannot claim entitlement by virtue of God's actions. No, it is God doing all that He can. But these cannot prevent rejection! Because he did not diligently adhere to God's commands. Even if God had given him a new heart, a new liver, a new kidney, a new lung, and transformed his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, the value system within his mind remained unchanged, rendering these gifts futile.

Thus, hardware can be altered, but how is the software modified? The reason for God's rejection of Saul lies in his failure to diligently adhere to God's word. Disobeying in matters of lesser import might be overlooked, for God often does not concern Himself greatly with such things. I will cite some examples, illustrating how our human perspectives differ from God's. Consider David, whom we have elected today; his household affairs became quite chaotic. How many wives did he take? He initially married one wife, then took Abigail, the wife of Nabal. Upon Nabal's death, Abigail promptly sought out David, declaring her desire to marry him and rely on him for lifelong support. Did God concern Himself with this matter? He did not. “Ah, but you should adhere to monogamy!” God did not prioritize this.

God did not concern Himself with it, but many others did. Numerous sisters voiced disapproval, acting as if they were David's wives. Yet, they had not even attained the status of David's wives; why did they champion their cause? David possessed qualities that Saul lacked. For instance, he murdered Uriah and subsequently married Uriah's wife, Bathsheba. The first child born of this union died, but the second was named Solomon. Later, God established Solomon as king. This is a remarkable occurrence that defies our understanding. When David committed adultery with Bathsheba, the prophet Nathan informed David that if his given wives were insufficient, he need only speak the desire, and it shall be granted, thus averting underhanded dealings. Upon careful reading, one discovers that God is not concerned with such matters but with whether one diligently adheres to His word.

I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. (2 Samuel 12:8)

First Reason: Pitying God's Enemies

Never show pity to the enemies of God, or you shall become like Saul. God so abhorred the Amalekites that He commanded Saul to exterminate them utterly, sparing neither the old nor the young, neither livestock nor fowl, not even a mouse. Yet, Saul spared Agag, the king of the Amalekites, hesitating to slay him. I suspect Agag possessed talent, otherwise, why would Saul have shown him mercy? But not even a talented man should be spared. How audacious to disobey God's word? Never display compassion towards the enemies of God! They are political prisoners; do not jest. In any era, in any generation, it is best to distinguish political prisoners clearly. Agag, in God's eyes, was an enemy of His kingdom. Do not presume that because you possess a compassionate heart, you are merely showing mercy to an individual; you are, in fact, showing mercy to the enemies of God.

At times, we perceive ourselves as more compassionate than God, thus disobeying His word, adhering to our own logic, and neglecting His commands, leading to divine rejection. Do not fault me for failing to warn you; I continually remind myself to be vigilant. I do not associate with that which God detests. How prevalent are Pharisees in this generation? When the Pharisees approached John the Baptist for baptism, what did John say?

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (Matthew 3:7)

Jesus, however, did not intervene much. Some Pharisees clandestinely sought Jesus at night to discuss the way of life, and God had compassion on them; Jesus conversed with them. Thus, brethren, begin to understand that if you aspire to be a Bodhisattva, be a living Bodhisattva; if you aspire to be a Christian, chosen by God, you must clearly distinguish between the enemies of God and those whom God has mercy on, God's people. Carefully read the Holy Scripture's teachings; does the least of these belong to God, or not?

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (Matthew 10:42)

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ (Matthew 25:45)

This refers to those within God's household; do not mistake those who blaspheme against God for the least of these; you are mistaken. Some are under a curse, blatantly blaspheming against God, yet some insist on bestowing mercy upon them. Is this service? Some Christians readily distribute money in impoverished areas. When were you instructed to engage in such actions? These too constitute a failure to diligently adhere to God's commands.

Second Reason: Fearing the People

Cultivate the habit, whether as a pastor or a leader, great or small, of being cautious, lest you fear those below while lacking fear for those above. This is precarious. This situation is commonplace. I do not criticize to condemn but to inform. The senior pastor of the church fears the pastors below, who in turn fear the district leaders, who fear the group leaders, who fear the members below. Is this not entirely backward?

We need to adjust. If you are a group leader, learn to heed the leadership of the district leader. Do not invert this order. Do not prioritize those below; those above are important. When we serve, we must understand that those above are more important than those below; I speak here of the fear of the people. Our battle today is waged through the Spirit of the Lord God, not through the common folk. Deuteronomy clearly states:

Then the officers shall speak further to the people and say, ‘Is there anyone here who has built a new house but has not yet dedicated it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may dedicate it. Is there anyone here who has planted a vineyard but has not begun to enjoy it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else enjoy it. Is there anyone here who has become pledged to a woman but has not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her.’ Then the officers shall add, ‘Is anyone afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his fellow soldiers will not become disheartened too.’ (Deuteronomy 20:5-8)

Some wonder who will fight then? Cowardly individuals should not participate; they will only cause disruption. They will flee in battle, causing others to flee with them. Such individuals are useless. God said to let them remain behind; victory is not contingent upon numbers; the more, the worse. Understand that we should not fear the people, for our battle is not waged through the strength of the people but through the Spirit of the Lord God. Saul, in particular, feared the people and harboured murderous intent toward Samuel. He respected Samuel, but still dared to challenge Samuel, yet feared to confront the people below. His brain was undoubtedly malfunctioning. How could he not be forsaken by God? Samuel mourned for him daily, not because Saul sought to kill Samuel, but because he was turning things upside down. The ghosts are sure to mess with him.

Saul's kingship was a windfall, yet he regarded the position with excessive importance, more valuable than God. I wish to guide you toward grasping the central truth: the key to a fulfilling life is the fear of God. Kingship was not a windfall but a divine election; why must he contrive his own path? At times, I must reassure myself, opting for the non-interventionist approach of Lao Tzu, lest I become despondent. As Christians, never covet status; it is a windfall, bestowed upon us. Apart from diligently adhering to God's word, we can do nothing. Do not fear the people below; with or without them, the church will continue to advance, for the people are added by God.

My findings on the church are often dismissed. They fear that the church's absence of people is detrimental, failing to realize that a congregation of corrupt individuals is even worse. Therefore, I undertake actions that many cannot; those who wish to labour alongside me shall build God's glorious church together. Those who do not wish to do so are free to decline; I do not dwell on congregation numbers. Upon clarifying this matter, I observed that Peter and James prioritize congregation numbers, even integrating Pharisees into the church, appointing them as church leaders. Subsequently, the church, under the influence of the Pharisees, began promoting circumcision, deeming it a significant undertaking to perform a surgical procedure on the male genitalia. Consequently, Paul devoted his life to opposing circumcision, arguing against its necessity. That is not the crux; the crux is not to show pity to god's enemies.

When Paul began establishing churches, his status was not yet secure; Peter and James of Jerusalem could strip him of his authority at will, possessing the right to do so by virtue of their influence within the church. However, Paul was prudent and improved his relationship with others in Jerusalem, resulting in positive outcomes. God orchestrated a wondrous event. Peter and James ministered to the Jews, while Paul ministered to the Gentiles. Later, Paul excelled in managing the Gentile churches. Peter and James, with calloused knees, did not excel in certain other matters, instead of focusing on a group of Christains holding only to the traditions and viewpoints of the Pharisaic sect, stirring up trouble everywhere and touting the supremacy of circumcision. Today, we must exercise caution; failure to diligently adhere to God's word is a tragedy.

Consequences of Rejection

Upon being forsaken by God, the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. Alas, mental illness ensued, a distressing outcome. I lament that one's lifelong dedication to serving God can be nullified by rejection, leading to mental instability. I am personally acquainted with a pastor who tragically developed depression, requiring medication for relief. How did this depression arise? Consider that the Spirit of God departing and an evil spirit entering effectively transforms one into a mental case. Is this not akin to Saul's fate? Should a pastor today succumb to mental illness, we ought to contemplate whether a similar dynamic is at play. It is a troubling thought.

In the early years of our church's establishment, resources were scarce, comprising a mere handful of members. Even among this small number, one was targeted by a pastor, who became an adversary within the church due to their relationship with the former. The pastor proclaimed that baptisms administered by me were invalid. Surely there can't be so much emphasis on how baptism is done. Is there any mention of this in the Bible? Eventually, this couple, who were once church members, left to worship with the other pastor.

Now that I think about them running to that pastor, I thank God. You say, how gracious God is to me. These two kittens, when they arrived at that church, became two tigers. And then the number of people in that church just dropped dramatically. In a few years, that church shrank drastically. If you still value numbers, you will have to poach people, and the result will be bringing in rubbish, and this rubbish will corrupt the church. That couple mixed into full-time co-workers, and then they were fired by that church. This is the consequence of being forsaken by God, it is a tragedy.

Are they God's people, or are they corrupting God's kingdom? Everyone has to ponder this carefully. When they wanted to come back later, they even came among us for another observation. I thought to myself, what are you coming back for? In the end, they did not return. Remember! When the Spirit of God departs, an evil spirit comes from the Lord. Can you understand this? A person either has the Spirit of God or the spirit of the devil. If a person does not have the spirit of the devil, God will send a devilish spirit in.

You say this is a matter of life and death! Samuel just watched such things happen, which was very helpless. He watched Saul enter into corruption. You say, in this life, either you are at home looking for a donkey, looking for a donkey all your life, that is fine! Even if you look for a donkey all your life, it will not lead to this. Either you find it, or you don't. If you don't find it, so be it. But now he was chosen by God to be the King of Israel. After becoming the King of Israel, he drove away the Spirit of God. Isn't this a tragedy! So brothers and sisters, no matter what, know that there is no blessing outside of Mingding Destiny. Once you have Destiny, if you do not uphold it, it becomes a tragedy. Playing a good hand poorly!

Later, from my past summaries, I discovered one thing: the final outcomes for many pastors of charismatic churches are tragedies. I was wondering what was going on? I don't necessarily have the answer, but when I return to God, I will surely know and understand. Today, it seems like I have observed a bit of the outline and feeling. That is, when the Spirit of God falls upon these people, you really see the deaf hear and the blind see. Many charismatic pastors have done these things, but later many pastors stopped doing them confusedly. I don't know why? Later, the whole person's condition became very strange, and many strange things began to happen.

When I think about it, when reading this passage, I was thinking that when a person receives the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God falls upon us, it gives us a Mingding Destiny and an anointing, choosing us to walk in God's will and manifest God's glory. As a result, people lose God's Mingding Destiny and do not diligently keep and follow God's word. When the Spirit of God departs, a tragic ending begins.

At this time, Saul was probably still King of Israel, and he reigned for nearly another ten or twenty years. So we must now begin to understand that during the process of Saul doing these things, the Spirit of God was still upon him until God forsook him and the Spirit of God departed. This is also called the indwelling of the Spirit of God. I ask you, is the indwelling useful? The indwelling is not useful. The indwelling also cannot stop Saul from not diligently keeping and following God's word, from having pity on God's enemies, from fearing the people, and from valuing his own position. The Spirit of God dwells in people, and people still do these things. Do you say that the Spirit of God dwelt in Saul? It doesn't seem very useful.

Brothers and sisters, we must know that only one thing is useful: diligently keeping and following God's word, and being filled with the knowledge of God in understanding. Be a smart person, obtain Mingding Destiny, and begin to uphold Destiny until you see Jesus Christ. Do not think that you have already attained it, but strive for it. This is the character of Chinese Mingding Destiny. Do not play a good hand poorly. If you get a bad hand and play it badly, no one will blame you because your hand is not good. If you get a good hand and play it poorly, it becomes a joke. Isn't this a tragedy?

Learning to Fear God

Learning to fear God means it's never too late to repent. God gave him many years of opportunity to repent. In fact, even after David was chosen, he still had the opportunity to repent. But I tell you, by that time, Saul was out of control. From some point, he had become very united with the devil: thoughts, ideas, the way of doing things, everything, except for having a religious appearance, there was no spiritual substance. He was very united with the devil's thoughts and ideas, and everything he thought seemed reasonable. Even though God left him many years to repent, he could not repent, because he had his own set of things in his heart and had been completely bound.

Everyone should learn to fear God, be gentle and humble in heart, fear God, and begin to understand what God's word says. So I have such a strong hope, which is to let brothers and sisters be filled with the knowledge of God in understanding. Sometimes the work and tasks that God gives us seem impossible, impossible to do. But the Spirit of God can do it, as long as you fear God. If God says you can do it, do it well; if God says you cannot do it, never do it. If a person has his own set of things in his heart and continues to insist on them, that is really a tragedy.

As long as I am shepherding you, I will do everything in my power to pull people out of this. Samuel was still alive, shouldn't Saul have consulted Samuel? God has forsaken me, what should I do? No, Saul had his own set of things. He thought Samuel was an old man, senile, and he was the King of Israel, and he had the final say!

God Chooses David

The process of God choosing David is also very interesting. Sometimes, I feel that everyone may not understand very well. God told Samuel to go to Jesse's house to anoint someone.

And Samuel said, How can I go? If Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord. (1 Samuel 16:2)

Our God is very interesting. God asked Samuel to use a guise, leading a heifer to Jesse's house, but in reality, he was going to anoint David. Our God is so good, He even understood Samuel's difficulties. Should He have said: Samuel, why don't you have faith? Go boldly, go with great fanfare! That is religion. As a result, God told Samuel to do this:

And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I shew thee. (1 Samuel 16:3)

After arriving at Jesse's house, everyone was worried about whether Samuel knew that Saul wanted to make him die, but in fact, he knew everything.

And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice. (1 Samuel 16:5)

Isn't this making up lies? Everyone must know that to be a Christian, you have to walk in God's will, and this is also called walking in God's will! Don't be silly and stupid.

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord's anointed is before him. But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. Then Jesse made Abinadab to pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these. (1 Samuel 16:6-10)

After the sacrifice, Samuel went to Jesse's house to choose someone to be king. However, Jesse's eldest son was handsome and tall, a man of talent. Samuel thought this was the person he was looking for, but God said no. Before, choosing Saul was about being handsome. This time, let's change it. In that era, they chose tall, rich, and handsome men. In this era, they choose young, fresh meat. Now, girls have also become smarter. They don't look at appearance but at inner qualities. God sees people, not like people see people. People look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. God mainly looks at the gold content. After changing seven sons, God did not choose any of them. Finally, He chose David, who was bright-eyed and handsome. With a little makeup, he was even more beautiful than a woman. Usually, no one in the family appreciated him because everyone was more handsome than him. Moreover, this David was quite interesting. He did not object to being asked to herd sheep. If you let me go, I will go.

And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. (1 Samuel 16:11)

Samuel said: Your youngest son will not be back, so we won't eat either, just wait for him to come back. Although his father looked down on him, and his brother also looked down on him, God valued him and God wanted him.

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. (1 Samuel 16:12)

Everyone, don't think that a large build equals a strong heart. I have seen many people with large builds but small minds. A tall person of 1.9 meters, but his mind is as small as a sesame seed. So when looking at people, don't look at the appearance, look at the gold content. David's heart was very strong, and no one knew how strong his heart was. Although his brothers could manage him and let him herd sheep, he was very good at speaking.

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him. (1 Samuel 16:18)

David knew how to say appropriate things. Unlike some people who not only have small minds, but their mouths also speak inappropriately and unwisely. We must know, what kind of person did God choose as David? Brothers and sisters, contemplate it carefully. David's character was remarkable. From a young age, he knew how to speak and handle things. I think this is the person God was looking for. People look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. When God made Saul king, wouldn't it have been okay to directly find David? If at that time, God had found David, it really wouldn't have worked. At that time, the Israelites might not have appreciated David. They would have thought: God! Isn't this passing the buck? Are you disliking us for wanting a king! Then you find a little kid to be our king. You are looking for someone with a pretty face, who is too refined. This fresh meat is too fresh! Cannot ah! Because when people see Saul's tall stature, they think he is very handsome.

Of course, at that age, David was still young, and there were other Davids! People are like this. God wants to shut people's mouths. See, how good Saul's conditions are. His son Jonathan was very good. He himself was very handsome, and still tall. People value these things! People should know that a small mind like Saul is really inversely proportional to a tall stature. God's choice of David was very interesting, and the whole process was quite dramatic. After God chose David, the Holy Spirit descended upon David.

The Spirit of God Descends on David

The Spirit of God descended on David, and he was moved by the Holy Spirit! You have to know that two things are closely related. The first thing: God had Samuel anoint him with oil. We have never seen that oil, probably like perfume, or fragrant oil or something? Then he poured it on David's head, and the whole person was filled with fragrance. At this time, the Holy Spirit descended upon him. Very wonderful! Many people think anointing is a magical thing. In fact, everyone must know that anointing is an appointment. God chooses him to be the King of Israel, so He anoints him, appointing him. In the Chinese Mingding Destiny church, it is Mingding Destiny. Then the Spirit of God descends upon him and moves him.

Now everyone knows what anointing is, right? In the future, when people talk about anointing, don't think it is a magical thing. Anointing is a Mingding Destiny, that is, an appointment. Anointing you, appointing you to do what God wants you to do. I think: God chose me to establish Chinese Mingding Destiny, and then let me do what He wants me to do. The Spirit of God descended on David, and he had the ability to cast out demons.

This ability to cast out demons is very interesting, you know? I have found that many people really don't read the text very well. Some people think that when David played the harp, the demon ran away, and they think that the harp is very important. In fact, they are mistaken, because the anointing in front is very important. I ask you, is the harp he played important, or is the person who played the harp important? Of course, the person who played the harp is important. That person has the Spirit of God, so when he plays, the Spirit of God is on him, and the demon is on Saul, and the spiritual condition will be suppressed by the Spirit of God.

Brothers and sisters, this is connected. If you are chosen by God, you will have an anointing, you will have a Mingding Destiny, and you will have an appointment. Then you will have the Spirit of God. At this time, you can cast out demons by the Spirit of God. You can take a broom and ride it under your crotch, even like Harry Potter. God does not care whether it is a broom or a harp. I think what is important is the person.

That person obtains this Mingding Destiny, and has David's character in his bones. This is what we are to learn. David was very powerful with that character. When he played the harp, the demon on Saul was cast out. Everyone slowly understands, don't be confused by those things. Some churches also get harps, what do they do with those harps? People blow horns, they also blow horns. After blowing, aren't they still the same? People wave flags and shout, they also wave flags and shout. People have choirs, they also have choirs, that is not important. What is important is that the Spirit of God is in that place.

The true definition of a church is not just putting up a sign like others. Does the church have a board of deacons, is there a chairman of the board of deacons? The church should have the Spirit of God moving. If there is the Spirit of God moving here, it is called a church. Even if there are two or three people, if the Spirit of God is there, it is called a church. We must begin to know that Saul encountered this situation, and the Spirit of God left. Finally, they found David to play the harp for him. David cast out the demon by the Spirit of God. This basic concept is clearly organized. I hope brothers and sisters no longer be confused. When other people talk about anointing, it seems very powerful. When I first heard about anointing, I thought it exceeded my imagination. I thought it was so magical. In fact, it is Mingding Destiny.

Brothers and sisters, begin to take on the Mingding Destiny that God has on us in this generation. In any case, know God in understanding. In any case, begin to diligently keep and follow God's word. In any case, run forward toward the goals God has set for us. We who are chosen by God should not be people who are forsaken by God. Having been chosen by God with great difficulty, but still cannot see clearly what living is all about; having been chosen by God with great difficulty, but still cannot see clearly the title of Christian; having been chosen by God with great difficulty, but also cannot see through that our position comes from God, and everything is seen cloudily. Brothers and sisters, we must know clearly in understanding how good God's good will is for us!

Summary

God has chosen you, so hold on tightly. Do not think that you have already attained it, but strive to pursue it, and run straight toward the goal God has set for us. Do not retreat into perdition. Running may be tiring, but entering perdition is even more tiring! You have to think carefully: the Spirit of God leaves you, and then the demon is with you, how can you live this life? I am very moved! What we talk about, the young, fresh meat, the tall stature, these are not important. What potential stocks or gold content, these are not important. What is important is striving to pursue and being a person with a Mingding Destiny. Imitate David and do things that are pleasing to God!

May God bless everyone!

Have I also been forsaken by God? I have schizophrenia. I have repented and prayed to God. God drove away several ghosts for me, but the sores on my body at that time have not healed. Should I continue to fast and pray?
Demons are invited by oneself. People need to know that God is the God who heals us, but people go their own way. You need to change your thoughts and ideas.
