Introduction: A Theological System of Constant Pursuit and Exploration
Very pleased to meet everyone online again. Today is the last lecture of our Chinese Mingding Destiny Global Network Bible Study. Next, we will move into the next series, called Healing and Deliverance. Many people have needs for healing and deliverance. In the next series, we want to continuously clear up the exploration and theoretical research in healing and deliverance. On the other hand, we will also have the opportunity to bring up these brothers and sisters who need healing and deliverance, and we will arrange people to serve you.
Chinese Mingding Destiny has a characteristic: we do not think we are all right. If we all think we are all right, we don't need to explore further. But we know that the knowledge of truth is endless, and the knowledge of God is endless. We have a characteristic: constant pursuit and constant exploration. Sometimes we think we are very clear about something, but as time goes by and we continue to climb to spiritual heights, we find that what we said before was not so right. I will not defend myself, and we will explore and seek together.
Seeking is the most basic element of Chinese Mingding Destiny. What is Chinese Mingding Destiny related to? It is related to solving doubts. In the past few years, I have found many things that confused me in the process of believing in the Lord, so I went to explore and understand. I thank our God! Our God is a God who reveals truth, and He constantly reveals truth.
Today, let us continue to solve these confusions and doubts together, starting to state the problems one by one and answering them one by one.
Question 1: Confusion about Salvation
Question: I have always believed that being healed is salvation, and having a smooth job is salvation. Going to heaven feels mysterious and I don't quite understand it.
Answer: His question is that he doesn't quite understand the matter of going to heaven. There are many people who don't quite understand this matter. Do you ask me if I really understand it? I may not understand it either, because I have neither been to hell nor to heaven. So what should we do? Then we must solve a very important problem through the Word of God. How do we live out the glorious image of God when we are alive?
What is salvation? Is it a smooth job and healing? In fact, these are all within salvation, but what is the original meaning of salvation? God created us with a glorious image, but later, after we all ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we lost the image of God.
Salvation is to restore the glorious image that God originally created us to have. Does it include going to heaven, being healed, and having a smooth job? In fact, they are all included. I think we need to return to a fundamental place. For example: If a person is healed, does he continue to live in the original system or in the Word of God? This question is serious. Therefore, many people were healed later, but the disease relapsed, and they said that prayer was not effective. In fact, this is like a person taking poison and then drinking the antidote; taking poison again and then drinking the antidote; but one time after taking the poison, there is no antidote, then it's over. Who told you to keep drinking poison? God has said that you cannot violate God's Word. If you violate God's Word, you will be cursed. God can use the precious blood of the Lord Jesus to cover you once, twice, or three times, but you cannot treat the blood of Jesus Christ as a rag, smearing it again and again, committing sins again and again.
God wants to restore the glorious image on us. What exactly is God's glorious image? God's glorious image is not selfish and independent, but freely giving. Genesis Chapter 1 clearly states to us that God saw everything was good, and our eyes must change. God speaks, the Spirit of God moves, and things are accomplished. God does everything, and things are accomplished. Those who give up halfway actually lack the glory of God.
God sees that everything is good, and things are accomplished, things are according to their kind, things are in order, one kind belongs to one kind, clearly. What is God's most important image? Creation. When we humans face the deep, darkness, emptiness, and chaos, what we need most is the ability to create. If the things we see are all good, we will treat any matter or environment as a reason for us to solve problems and create new solutions. This is the glory of God's image as stated in Chapter 1. Regarding the confusion about salvation, I will say this much.
Question 2: Confusion about Love
Question: I believe that physical love is also love. The five loaves and two fish are a manifestation of the Lord's physical love for people. Healing people is also a kind of physical love. God's love should be implemented through physical love.
Answer: I think this matter is a bit difficult for me, because the strongholds he mentioned, I think the thing called the flesh is worth discussing. For example: Jesus said that man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. This actually negates the idea that man lives on food.
I say that five loaves and two fish fed five thousand people, so why did Jesus no longer give bread to those who followed Jesus Christ asking for bread? And Jesus also said, I am the bread of life. Eat my flesh and drink my blood. He said a lot, and these people found it difficult to understand and left. Did Jesus Christ want to express man's love for the flesh through these five loaves and two fish? Or did he want to explain to them that Jesus Christ is our God, who can supply all their needs?
For example: healing. Actually, people get sick not because of anything else, but because of evil spirits, the work of evil spirits, or because of curses. I think: what exactly does God want to explain to us when people are healed? God wants to explain to us the spiritual essence of diseases, and then tell us that the answers to all these things in life are in Jesus Christ, then they are in God. So we must carefully observe and follow God's Word in our lives.
I think: you can interpret this as a kind of physical love, but in fact, when you read it carefully, you will find that indulging in the flesh is death. Did Jesus Christ indulge in the flesh of these people? No. Jesus Christ wanted to use these things to let people know God, let people know that God is the answer to all our problems, including food and drink, including our physical health, are all in Jesus Christ.
I think this is a spiritual matter, not a physical matter. This is my interpretation, but I think the brother or sister who asked the question is expressing a point of view, that he believes that physical love is also love. I think, what is a person's physical love? In fact, is giving him something to eat physical love? Things related to human life are all spiritual matters. The health of the body, financial health, and the health of interpersonal relationships are all spiritual matters. Spiritual matters are the essence of all things.
This is why Jesus Christ fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, and then said a lot of words, causing those people to leave one by one. If Jesus Christ was only physical love, he would make five loaves and two fish every day, and everyone would be much easier. They wouldn't have to farm or work. This is the confusion about love. The person who asked the question may not agree with my point of view. For example, he may not agree with my point of view about making dumplings. It doesn't matter. I don't know if I answered his question, but I will try. If I didn't answer your question, then please forgive me.
Question 3: Confusion about Godliness
Question: Staying up late or getting up early to pray is godliness. I can't get up in the morning. I have always believed that getting up earlier does not mean that prayer is more devout and that God is more pleased. My wife often stays up late to pray and always says that I am not godly because I can't get up. Because the body is the temple of God, we must cherish it and not stay up late.
Answer: This brother talked a lot about godliness and taking care of the body, and I can't quite grasp what he means. So let me first talk about my point of view. Is getting up early to pray godliness? In fact, many monks are more godly than Christians. Do we think godliness is like this? It shouldn't be. This is a religious act. This religious act with the connotation of prayer is godliness, but if it is just a religious act, godliness cannot be talked about. It is better to sleep well at home. His point of view: our body is the temple of God, we must cherish it and not stay up late. Many Christians believe this. But I have found that many people who don't stay up late and cherish their bodies get many strange diseases. They say that the temple of God should be cherished and not stay up late. This is not taught in the Bible. This is all added by ourselves.
If our body is the temple of God that we should cherish and not stay up late, let's give an example: Moses went up the mountain for forty days and nights without eating, drinking, or sleeping. Isn't this a waste of the body? But he was still alive and kicking when he went down the mountain. He should have been finished, but he wasn't finished and was still alive and kicking with a radiant face. In fact, it is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail.
Many people don't sleep much and have irregular lives. Many of my colleagues have irregular lives. Because at night, someone calls for service, until three or four in the morning, and some even serve until five or six in the morning. Who knows when someone will call? I have found that their bodies are very strong. You say, is this cherishing the body or not cherishing the body? Practice has proven that cherishing the body and not staying up late doesn't prove anything.
Question 4: Confusion about Changing the Words of the Bible
Question: The confusion that the words of the Bible cannot be changed by a single word. The Bible is translated, and different people may have different translations. It is impossible for it to be exactly the same. Many pastors say that not a single word in the Bible can be changed. How do you understand this? I personally often read bilingual Bibles, and many sentences are worth discussing. I personally feel that the most authoritative version is the NIV version. In addition, some people on the Internet have pointed out that the Books of Kings and Chronicles have individual inconsistencies in important historical facts. How do you understand this?
Answer: Where is this different from many people? When we read the Bible, we are reading out the mind of God. Don't split hairs. Those who split hairs may be historians, or scientists, or philosophers. If you like to split hairs, it doesn't matter. Even if the historical facts in the Books of Kings and Chronicles are inconsistent, it doesn't affect our understanding of God's mind. We must read out God's mind. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. If you can read out God's mind, even if the translation is a little different, will it affect our understanding of God's mind? No. Some pastors say that not a single word in the Bible can be changed. I don't understand what he means by not a single word can be changed.
In the Bible, Moses wrote the Five Books of Moses. Later, in the days of Samuel, there were the Books of Samuel, Kings, Judges, as well as the Books of Isaiah, Daniel, and Malachi. Later there were the Gospels of Matthew and John, the Book of Revelation, and Paul's letters. Were these scriptures increased or not? It’s not a matter of a single word. The kind of statement that people think not a single word can be changed is obviously not in line with the Bible. Because in the Bible, Moses wrote the Five Books of Moses, and then several more books were added. Do you say that it was changed or not, added or not? In fact, these are all within a system.
I encourage everyone to read the Bible and read out a complete system of faith. When we read out a complete system of faith, John's Book of Revelation is not difficult to understand if it is within a system. The question is, what kind of system is this? It is a challenge. Chinese Mingding Destiny is working hard to solve the problem of this system, but we must say that we may not have solved it all correctly. There are still many places worth discussing, improving, and enhancing. God is also leading us to know more truth.
Question 5: Confusion about Visions and Tongues
Question: Some people often see visions, but I have never seen them. Some people speak in tongues, but I don't know if it is tongues. My wife can also speak in tongues, but it is not like what the pastor said. I want to speak in tongues, and I speak in tongues, and it seems that there is no Holy Spirit, I suspect if this is tongues.
Answer: Regarding the confusion about tongues, I also gave a special sermon about the confusion of praying in tongues. He mentioned two things: one is visions, and the other is tongues. Some people often see visions. Later I discovered one person who often saw many things (but I rarely saw them). He saw this for a while and that for a while. Some people call it hallucination. What exactly did he see? Where did these things come from? Later, I came to a conclusion, because the things he saw all came from evil spirits. In fact, evil spirits can open the third eye, and the third eye can see many things, but that is not called a vision. Man does not live by seeing visions. The righteous live by faith. Man lives by faith. Whether it is visions or tongues, they are all by faith.
For example, Other people speak in tongues, but you don't have any feeling. Some people feel that there is a strange power controlling our mouths, and our mouths automatically open, and you didn't open them, but the mouths are saying something there. He feels that this is the feeling. When the Bible talks about praying in tongues, it does not say that the mouth being controlled by something is tongues.
Actually, those who speak in tongues, not only do you want to speak in tongues and you speak, but I also want to speak in tongues and I speak in tongues. The difference is whether we have faith. Arguing in this place for a long time is of no benefit, because we cannot argue anything. Whether it comes from the Holy Spirit is not discussed in the Bible. In the end, we can only say that the righteous live by faith, and everything that does not come from faith is sin. These are the words in the Bible.
If we don't believe and there are confusions inside, and we feel that God can't even manage the matter of tongues, then what else can He manage? I suggest that such people do not stay in this stage, but enter the stage of seeing results, to see if praying in tongues can edify themselves.
I have a habit, that is, I only look at the output, not the input. Some people will say: Look, he has no credit but has worked hard. When you come to me, hard work doesn't count, only credit counts. If you want to count hard work, but you ruin people and the church all day long, what's the use of working hard for so long? There is no credit to speak of. So, I think many people are working hard to ruin people, but actually, they have no credit at all.
Praying in tongues is just one input. You must look at the results in everything. Accept the good results and forget the bad ones. Later, I discovered that praying in tongues edifies oneself, and praying in tongues is speaking to God, speaking all kinds of mysteries in the spirit. Although praying in tongues is a small gift, it is very important. Do not doubt today. See what the result of your praying in tongues is. Any gift, from praying in tongues to other spiritual gifts, is used to edify people, edify oneself, and edify the church. If you pray in tongues more, you will find that your faith begins to have power.
As for whether what is said is the same as the pastor or not, this thing is not important. Look at the results in everything. Praying in tongues is the practice of spiritual gifts. If a person does not pray in tongues, it is difficult to pray for a long time. Many people pray in tongues, and praying becomes very simple. The Bible records that they actually began to pray in tongues as soon as they believed in the Lord, because praying in tongues is very simple. Praying with understanding is very difficult, like writing an essay, you have to compile words and sentences.
Question 6: Confusion about Working and Going to Work
Question: If a person doesn't go to work, how can he live? Sometimes there is no time to go to church to worship because of work.
Answer: I never agree with not going to work. Sometimes it is a problem if you don’t have time to go to church to worship? I will give a few examples to illustrate. Some people specialize in finding work on Sundays because the salary is high. After going to work, they find that they have no way to go to church to worship, and they begin to accuse themselves in their hearts.
But the question comes, can we live by going to work? Many people get cancer from working, so they don't have to live and work. Sometimes not going to church to worship because of working, is this a problem? I don't think it's a problem. If you deliberately find a job, in order to get more money, and have to go to work on Sundays, this is worth discussing. The problem lies in people's mentality.
In fact, Cain also offered sacrifices, but God did not accept them, because there was something wrong with his attitude. Abel believed that living depended on God, not on working, not on farming, so he offered the best to God. But Cain did not think so. Cain believed that living depended on farming and working, so offering sacrifices was annoying, and going to church to worship was also annoying.
What kind of attitude we have inside determines God's attitude towards us. If we don't take anything seriously, then one day if we have something, God will deal with you with your attitude.
The other day, we were talking about the problem of a lifetime lying in disaster. A disaster can bring life to an end. Even if you go to work, you can't stop any disaster. If a person trusts in God throughout his life, I believe that God can solve these accidents and solve the problems of these disasters. A person who trusts in God lacks no good, but a person who trusts in going to work is not necessarily the case. Lions and tigers go to work on time, but they also starve.
Question 7: Confusion about the Blood Covering
Question: I have always believed that if I accidentally commit a sin, I will pray and confess my sins, and the blood of the Lord Jesus will cover me. But sometimes I can't help but curse and say dirty words. After confessing my sins, I may curse again after a while. I just pray and confess my sins again. How can I understand this problem?
Answer: In fact, the key to the Christian faith does not lie in a ritual. I confess my sins, pray, and the blood covers me, and everything is over. The Christian faith lies in power. If a person can't even overcome cursing, then this Christian faith is too weak. The Christian faith lies in the great power of God. We must rely on the Holy Spirit to put to death the passions and desires of the flesh, and these problems will be solved? Therefore, the Holy Spirit is the key to helping us overcome the flesh. The Christian faith is a powerful faith. This gospel is the power of God. But for those who do not believe, this gospel is nothing.
Question 8: Confusion about Being Bullied and Cursed
Question: Many pastors say that it doesn't matter if you are bullied, don't resist, just pray for him, but I always feel that I should uphold justice, right?
I think the person who wrote this confusion should often be bullied and cursed. After believing in the Lord, he came to the pastor with such confusion, but many pastors said: It doesn't matter if you are bullied. If you are often bullied, it definitely doesn't feel good. If you want to resist, you can try it, but you are responsible for the consequences. But if you don't resist? The flesh is very uncomfortable, and you feel that you should uphold justice.
I think there is always a reason why a person is bullied and cursed. If there is no reason, it is for no reason that he is hated. Being able to ask such a question, I guess you still have some gaps in your understanding of interpersonal relationships. It should not be a question of faith. It should be a lack of knowledge in dealing with these interpersonal relationships and dealing with these problems in real life, so you will encounter such things. If a person knows how to handle these things, he should not be in this situation. Even if this situation occurs, as a person who trusts in God, he will definitely know that our God is in charge of us. But if he is still cursed and bullied, he should seek some improvements in his behavior and life.
Question 9: Confusion about Evangelism
Question: Our church is letting believers spread the gospel (the Great Commission). How do we spread it? First, giving out gospel tracts has no effect! Second, prayer is not very effective!
Answer: I didn't understand this question, so I will talk about it wherever I think of it. In fact, what exactly is the gospel? We give out tracts without effect, and our prayers are not very effective. Do we really understand what evangelism is?
The other day I met an old man. The old man was very cute, knowledgeable, and had been on many battlefields as an old soldier. Then he worked again. Now he is in his eighties and has a bad memory. When I told him about Jesus, he didn't believe it, saying: You all believe very well, but I don't believe it.
What to do? Many people just preach the gospel: You believe it! I don't believe it! You believe it! I don't believe it! What is this doing? This is called evangelism? This is called annoying people. In fact, I don't think evangelism is preaching a religion. What does the Bible say? You don't drag people into religion to be children of hell. You don't even know what the gospel is. The gospel, the gospel is good news. Many people preach the gospel like this: You follow me to believe in the Lord! Why should I follow you to believe in the Lord? It's good to carry the cross. Oh, my schoolbag is already heavy enough. Wouldn't it be heavier to carry another cross? After talking for a long time, they didn't explain it clearly.
Some people preach the gospel by holding a booklet. When they open it, they see that you are a sinner. The person says: I am not a sinner. You are a sinner. I am not a sinner. You are a sinner. Then they can't go on. So you are a sinner, you have to go over here, and there is a cross here that you can cross. When I think about it, is it a door panel? It is easier to cross a door panel. The cross is a single-plank bridge.
The things they talk about sound confusing. I think the gospel is to give people grace. If a person does not receive grace, you ask him to believe, what does he believe In? I don't know either.
I said to this old man: Look, your memory is not good. If you go on, you will have Alzheimer's disease. If you go on, you will have Alzheimer's disease, and your family will suffer with you. I am telling you that following me to believe in the Lord can solve these problems and get benefits. You seem to think that I want to persuade you. Why do I need to persuade you about something that is good for you? As a result, the old man thought about it himself, Yes, why do I need you to persuade me about something that is good for me? He began to understand, and we often took him to pray together. In fact, he had not been able to take this step for many years, but later, his legs also loosened up after praying, and everything also loosened up. He got much better physically and began to receive more and more grace.
What we are preaching today is a gospel, a good news, absolutely not bad news. Is it so difficult to get people to benefit? Actually, it is not that difficult. I think it should be easier to preach good news than to preach bad tidings. Our gospel is the power of God. Why is it so difficult to preach? Is it that you are preaching a gospel that is not very powerful? I think it is worth discussing and thinking about.
Question 10: Church Conundrums
Q: The pastor's sharing and teachings are excellent, but we cannot attend the pastor’s physical church. How should we approach this?
A: He is somewhat perplexed, and why is this so? Because he views the church as a building. He feels he must go to a structure with a large cross, rows of tables and chairs, and kneel down in pious prayer, as if Jesus is there. In fact, erecting a building is not too difficult, but enabling brothers and sisters to genuinely love one another, now that is a bit hard, exceedingly difficult.
So what exactly is the church? I think this sister is somewhat confused. What is the church? The Bible says that where two or three are gathered in Jesus' Name, whether they are gathered on the phone or in a physical church, it does not specify.
The Apostle Paul pioneered remote ministry. Of course, in those days, he did not have WeChat or QQ. He used letters. Actually, much of what we read in the Bible today consists of letters Paul wrote from prison or elsewhere. Why did he write these letters? Essentially, it was remote pastoral care. Was Paul a member of the Body of Christ? He was. So, this question of going to church hinges on a lack of clarity about what the church is.
Consider another example: We used to go to stores to buy things. Then came Alibaba and Taobao, and now we simply tap on our phones and things are delivered. Does this fulfill our shopping needs? It does. The church is a rather unique place, a place where God’s Word is proclaimed. I speak here, and you listen there. Do you hear? You do. If you need ministry, contact us online, and we can be there to minister to you in just a few minutes.
If ordinary commercial activities can be handled through e-commerce, why can't the church, a place for proclaiming faith, do the same? If the Apostle Paul could use letters, why can't we use the internet today? There should be no difference. What should the church really be? A group of people loving one another. We do the same on the internet. If someone can be nurtured and helped to grow on the internet, why is that not a church? Why is only a physical church considered a church? That becomes very narrow-minded, does it not?
So, I tell you today, following us online is being in the church. You may find it a bit strange, but that is alright. Perhaps you have not yet understood. I tell you today, can the Word of God be proclaimed through the internet? It can. Can healing and deliverance be ministered through the internet? They can. Can someone be counselled through the internet? They can. Then why do you need to go to a physical church? In a church of a thousand or ten thousand, you would not know anyone.
Question 11: Lingering Illness Conundrums
Q: Teacher, how do I deal with it when the prayer is effective one day, but ineffective the next day, and the condition even worsens? What should I do when suffering from illness?
A: If it worsens, continue to pray and keep striking at the forces of darkness. What should you do when suffering from illness? If you want to go to the hospital, then go. If you want to take medicine, then take it. If you want to continue praying, we have teachers who can minister to you.
Question 12: Multiple Teachers Conundrums
Q: The part about “do not be many teachers” that was mentioned yesterday was not clearly explained later?
A: I do not believe that you should not be many teachers. To aspire to be a teacher with the attendant stricter judgment is a selfish view! If no one becomes a teacher, who will minister? I see Jesus training disciples, and the disciples in turn training others – that is what we should be doing. If no one becomes a teacher, how can we build the church?
I do not think this statement holds water. We should emulate what Jesus Christ did. If we emulate Jesus Christ and teach people the truth, who else will teach? If we emulate Jesus Christ, can we not receive a greater reward? In fact, Jesus never said not to be many teachers; this saying is not reasonable.
Question 13: The Kingdom of God and the Righteousness of God Conundrums
Q: Regarding seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you, what specifically do the Kingdom of God and His righteousness refer to, and how do we balance that with our economic needs?
A: I think seeking the Kingdom of God is related to the Kingdom of God coming. How does the Kingdom of God come? We rely on the Spirit of God to cast out demons, and wherever we do that, the Kingdom of God comes. Seeking the Kingdom of God means emulating Jesus, constantly relying on the Spirit of God to cast out demons, and allowing the Kingdom of God to come. Of course, seeking the Kingdom of God has many meanings, but I prefer to engage in concrete actions.
What is the righteousness of God? First, God is just. Second, those who believe become righteous because the Bible clearly states that the righteous shall live by faith. Because Abraham believed God, God credited it to him as righteousness; this is the righteousness of God. Our righteousness is often based on moral concepts.
How do we balance that with our economic needs? The concept of balance is rather detestable. We assume that economic needs and the Kingdom of God and His righteousness are on the same level, but they are not because there is no basis for comparison. If we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to us, what do we need to balance?
Some people want to balance the church and family, work and church. In the end, I do not see that they achieve any balance, because the Word of God never talks about balance. The Word of God is very clear: you must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. If you do not seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, even if you achieve balance, it is all in vain because it is not according to the Word of God. We think that these things have similar priority, but the original words of the Bible are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Economic needs are included in the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. If all these things are added to us, what do we need to balance? I feel that the Kingdom of God and His righteousness are the most important things in my life.
Question 14: The Blood of Jesus and Sin Conundrums
Q: Yesterday’s sermon said that we cannot treat the precious Blood of the Lord as a dishrag. It is inevitable to sin when living in sin. Even if we do not commit the four major sins mentioned in the Bible, our thoughts and intentions will still sin and offend God. How do we explain this when we still need to ask the Lord for forgiveness and pardon?
A: Many think that this is an unsolvable issue. But the Gospel we believe in is the power of God. How can it become powerless, unable to even solve the problem of sin?
Let me explain the issue of sin. Sin is crouching at your door. Why not a demon? What you are willing to do, you do not do, and what you are unwilling to do, you do – this is the sin within you doing it. It is a huge misunderstanding to think that the Gospel we believe in today has no power to subdue sin. We assume that a powerless Gospel is normal.
In fact, the human flesh is the sin. A person has a spiritual nature and a carnal nature. The Spirit and the flesh are in conflict, not the Spirit and evil spirits. The Spirit wants to put to death the deeds of the flesh. To sin is to fail to put to death the deeds of the flesh. A carnal person must rely on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh. If we trust in God, the Spirit will work within us and put to death the source of our sin, which is the flesh. Then we will become holy. This is the original word of the Bible.
If we rely on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh, will people still live in sin? Some people think it is natural for people to sin. This is not the truth. If the Gospel we believe in does not have the power of the Spirit, we will assume that sinning is inevitable. Even if the Spirit puts to death the deeds of the flesh, it does not happen all at once. If it does not happen all at once, we will still live in the process of constantly putting to death the deeds of the flesh. Those that are not put to death will lead to sin, while those that are put to death will begin to live under the power of God.
Those that are not put to death mean that the work of the Spirit is not yet complete. That is, to become holy is a process. People must diligently seek and rely on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh one by one. What about those that have not yet been put to death? Rely on the Blood of Jesus. So, it is the power of the Spirit that solves the problem. Do not think that there is no price to pay for sinning; there is a price to pay.
Some people are quite wicked. When I was ministering to a sister, she wanted to smash my computer. Passing by a copy shop, she saw many computers. I asked her why she did not smash those computers. She said, Am I stupid? If I smash other people's computers, I have to pay for them. So, this sister clearly understood everything within her heart. She thought that she would not have to pay for smashing my computer, but she was wrong; she would still need to pay for it.
People sin because they do not fear God. They think that they can sin, ask the Lord for forgiveness, and it is all over. But it is not like that. There is a price to pay for sinning. For example, David committed a sin, and although God forgave him, the sword did not depart from his family. There is a price to pay. If people knew that there was a price to pay for sinning, they would think twice and not sin. If they really cannot control themselves, relying on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh will solve the problem.
Finally, we must resolve the question of whether the process of believing in the Lord is a process of putting to death the flesh. If we strive to pursue and constantly put to death the deeds of the flesh, we can overcome sin one day. This Gospel is the power of God to save everyone who believes. This is the key! For the deeds that have not yet been put to death, rely on the grace of God!
Some people think it is natural for people to sin, and that it is inevitable to sin when living in sin. We think this is the truth, but it is not. Believing in a Gospel without the power of the Spirit leads us to think that it is inevitable to sin when living in sin. Even if the Spirit puts to death my deeds, it does not happen all at once. If it does not happen all at once, we will still live in constant sin. Those that have not been put to death will begin to sin, while those that have been put to death will begin to live under the power of God. Those that have not been put to death mean that the work of the Spirit is not yet complete. To become holy is a process, but people must diligently seek and rely on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh one by one. If the Spirit has not put them to death, rely on the Blood of Jesus Christ. This is not an unsolvable issue; the solution lies in the power of the Spirit.
Do not think that there is no price to pay for sinning; there is a price to pay. If you ask someone if they will still sin if there is a price to pay, you ask them if they will still sin. In fact, many people are quite wicked. There was a sister I was ministering to who wanted to smash my computer. On the day she went to get a sick leave, she passed by a computer store. My colleague asked her why she did not smash those computers. She said, Am I stupid? If I smash other people's computers, I have to pay for them. So, she understood everything in her heart. She thought that she would not have to pay for smashing my computer, that she would not have to pay for mine either.
People sin because they do not fear God. They think that they can sin, ask the Lord for forgiveness, and it is all over. But it is not like that. There is a price to pay for sinning. For example, David committed a sin, and although God forgave him, the sword did not depart from his family. If people calculate the cost of sinning, they will often think twice and not sin. If they really cannot control themselves, relying on the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh will solve the problem. In fact, we still need to understand whether the process of believing in the Lord is a process of putting to death the flesh. If we strive to pursue, we will overcome sin one day. This Gospel is the power of God to save everyone who believes. For the sins that have not yet been put to death, it is only by the grace of God that they can be put to death.
Question 15: Breaking Curses Conundrums
Q: Many people do not accept the teaching on breaking curses. Some say that we have been released and set free once Jesus offered Himself. How do we understand this?
A: Do not read the Bible by taking verses out of context. Jesus offered Himself once. Have we offered ourselves to Jesus? Have we offered half to Jesus and half to the world? I do not think that this is being released and set free. The breaking of curses, with Jesus offering Himself once, means that we can be released and set free if we come into Jesus Christ. But many people are still outside Jesus Christ, still living under a curse outside Jesus Christ, are they not? Many people think that we have all been released and set free once Jesus offered Himself. This refers to people within Jesus Christ. Some people say that they are also in Jesus Christ. Are you really in Jesus Christ? I do not think so.
The reason why people have such questions is that they follow their own paths and do not speak according to the Word of God. Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Jesus Christ came to set us free—certainly not free to sin. Sinning is not carefully observing and following the Word of God. Therefore, in Deuteronomy, carefully observing and following brings blessings, while failing to carefully observe and follow brings curses. Today, we rely on Jesus Christ, rely on the Spirit, and put to death the deeds of the flesh. We can then follow the Word of God. The outside will no longer belong to the flesh, but will belong to the Spirit.
Today, do not cling to the letter and think that you are free from curses because you have heard the words. You are actually not living according to the Word of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God. What you could not do according to the Word of God in the past, you can now do through the Spirit putting to death the flesh. You are truly released and set free. If you continue to disobey the Word of God, the curse remains. You ask me how do I know? Look at the consequences. Ending up with a lot of illnesses is the result of curses.
In 1 Corinthians, Paul said that many people there were living in sin, and many died because of it. Or in Deuteronomy, if you do not carefully observe and follow the commandments of the Lord your God, God will bring long and severe illnesses upon you and your descendants. So, you can tell whether people are living under a curse by looking at the results. If you do not believe, it is you who will suffer the consequences, not me. Do not distort the Word of God. Look at the whole Bible. This is a complete system of faith.
Question 16: Baptism Conundrums
Q: Regarding baptism, there are now many sprinkle baptisms. Some say that baptism is only symbolic. What is its true meaning?
A: Why did Jesus not do sprinkle baptism? Because He wanted to fulfil all righteousness. Many people like sprinkle baptism, thinking that baptism is only symbolic. If it is symbolic, it should still be similar. If it is not similar, what does it symbolize? Jesus went to the Jordan River to be baptized. Why did He not just use a bowl at home to sprinkle water? Why did He go to the Jordan River to be baptized? Because He wanted to fulfil all righteousness.
Today, many people think that the Jordan River is too far away, so they get a tank at home, and then change it to a basin, and then change the basin to a bowl, and then change the bowl to a small bottle, and finally use a small willow twig to sprinkle. Later, I discovered that this is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible did not teach this. This was made up by later people. It is a bit like Guan Yin Bodhisattva, not like Jesus Christ.
If we cannot even keep baptism, what else can we keep? If we even cut corners on baptism, what else will we cut corners on? A faith of cutting corners is not good. You can accept sprinkle baptism, but I do not think that is the real thing. Since it is baptism, let us be baptized like Jesus. You might say that some people are in hospital beds. If you are in a hospital bed, then just sprinkle. But if you are not in a hospital bed, why are you doing sprinkle baptism? This baptism symbolizes dying and rising again with Jesus. This is the meaning of baptism; it is fulfilling all righteousness!
Question 17: Feast Conundrums
Q: Some churches greatly emphasize feasts, such as the Feast of Tabernacles, saying that they are the feasts of Jehovah and that we should also emphasize what the Heavenly Father emphasizes. Do we Gentiles need to observe them? Is it okay to observe them or not? Or is it not necessary at all?
A: I am probably not qualified to talk about this because I do not observe these feasts; I do not emphasize these feasts. But what do I emphasize? What I emphasize are the two things Jesus Christ said: preaching the Gospel and healing the sick and casting out demons, and then preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven and understanding the heart of God!
As for observing the feasts of Jehovah, I am not qualified to speak because I do not observe them either. But I can express my personal and immature view. Is it good to observe these feasts? If you want to observe them, go ahead. But the Apostle Paul said that one day is stronger than another, and another day is stronger than this day. If some people want to observe this day or that day, then observe them well. Some people say to eat meat, some people say to eat vegetables. If you want to eat meat, then eat with faith. If you want to eat vegetables, then eat with faith. Are these things important? The truth is that they all have their benefits. But if you ask me if it is good to observe these feasts, I feel that Christians should consecrate themselves to the Lord 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! To consecrate ourselves to the Lord is to live in the love of God every day!
Why do people celebrate feasts? To read the Word of God and understand the heart of God. If you learn the Word of God every day, you will not have these questions!
Christians do not observe the Sabbath, nor do they observe these few feasts. Christians should live in their calling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Why do we live today? Everything should be consecrated to the Lord! To consecrate to the Lord is to live in the Word of God every day! People should read the Word of God and understand the Word of God during feasts! If we read the Word of God every day, we will not need to celebrate feasts! Do Christians observe this feast? Christians live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! I call it our calling! Why do we live? Why do we die? What exactly are we doing in this world? Understand everything today! To present ourselves completely as a living sacrifice is the requirement of the New Testament! Is the requirement of the New Testament high or low? The requirement of the New Testament is high, and the requirement of the Old Testament is low. To observe the feasts of Jehovah, I think presenting ourselves completely to God as a living sacrifice is our reasonable service.
I once met a pastor who had hydrocephalus. He said that serving God as a group leader often meant changing leaders every three years! And those of us in charge of the pastoral area had several groups to visit every day. We only had one day off a week, and then we got hydrocephalus. It was so bad.
Later, I thought about how I had not rested a single day from the time I was in my twenties until now, and I did not get hydrocephalus! Why is that? It is because people do not enjoy what they are doing. They do not enjoy working, and they do not enjoy serving God! It is very painful! They also observe feasts! I wondered what this was all about! The most important thing is to be with God and walk with God!
So, I think it is our reasonable service to present ourselves as a living sacrifice. Some people say that if we believe in Jesus like this, how can we live our lives? I said that I am living quite well. Oh, it seems that if we completely give ourselves, we cannot live our lives. The church has to be balanced with the family! This balance and that balance, how can we balance it? Balanced to the point of hydrocephalus. Is it not wonderful to present ourselves as a living sacrifice today? So, the Apostle Paul said that this is our reasonable service! The teaching of the Apostle Paul did not teach us to balance this and balance that!
Today, we are willing to give ourselves to God 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! You say how to give yourself to God? I tell you, it is to live for God in your mind. I think that this sounds a bit strange, but it does not matter. You can put it into practice!
Question 18: Pilgrimage Conundrums
Q: Some people go to Israel and feel a strong sense of God's presence, going to the Temple, the Wailing Wall, etc. Is it okay to go? But do we not have God's presence wherever we are?
A: Have you been to Israel? I have. I did not feel good at all after going. It was not that I felt a strong sense of God's presence. Someone who was on the plane with me was a speaker among us. It was me who contributed the money for his trip. As a result, he was sitting next to me, and I happened to have a nasal inflammation. I sneezed, had nosebleeds, and kept struggling, which affected his sleep. As a result, he disliked me very much and kept glaring at me. He did not know that I had contributed the money for his trip to Israel. He also dressed up like Jesus. He drew a picture that looked very similar, but I also disliked him very much. Later, I found out in Israel that he was a speaker. I could not listen to him at all. I went out for a walk. I did not feel God's presence; I just felt something strange. Since then, I have been somewhat averse to going to Israel! I also cannot understand why going to Israel makes me feel confused!
I know a pastor who spent more than 30,000 RMB for a trip to Israel. If he and his wife went, it would cost 60,000 RMB. So, they are poor and have not even bought a house yet. Then they go to Israel every year. I wonder what they are doing in Israel! If they go there and come back and still talk about the same old things! I was very surprised. What are they doing in Israel? It is not even fun. What are they doing?
I did not see anything that said that we should go to Israel in the Bible! But what did I see? Muslims have pilgrimages. It seems that Christians also like pilgrimages.
The command that God gave us in the Bible is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength! Not to love the Lord in Israel, but to love the Lord your God wherever you are!
Question 19: The Confusion of Demonic Healing
Q: Hello, little assistant! I have a question. I heard that my grandfather could heal people by writing symbols and burning ashes. I also heard that Taoist practice involves fighting with the spiritual realm. What are these evil spirits doing? I saw in the Bible that sorcery and witchcraft can also do supernatural things. I don't understand why evil spirits also heal people or drive out spiritual entities.
A: That’s a very good question. The purpose of evil spirits is to deceive people. As long as they can deceive people, that is the devil's tactic. The spiritual realm is very real. You can see in the Bible that sorcery and witchcraft can do supernatural things.
The spiritual realm is very real. Why do they heal people? They are not driving out spiritual entities; they are driving out the things they themselves attracted. It's self-inflicted. So, don't be deceived by evil spirits. I hope today we can gradually come out of this deception.
Question 20: The Confusion of Exorcists in Popular Culture
Q: In movies, we often see a profession called exorcist. Just out of curiosity, would our prayers and spiritual warfare in the future make us exorcists?
A: There is a profession called exorcist. Actually, Jesus trained twelve disciples to go out to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. Later, He trained seventy more disciples to do the same. If you want to regard them as exorcists, fine. But the question is, when they were doing these things, do we think they were normal or abnormal? People who ask this question must think they are strange people. Actually, if you see me, I look very normal. The term exorcist is a bit unpleasant, but in fact, it is about solving people's problems. If a person is controlled by a demon, what should you do? You have to drive the demon out. In the end, it is to solve the person's problem.
For example, a hunchback came to Jesus, and Jesus cast out the demon from him, and his body was healed. Many who were demon-possessed were healed as soon as they came to Jesus. Is Jesus an exorcist Himself? Jesus is, but the issue is not about labeling someone. The issue is what does the Christian faith say in the Bible? We have to go back to the Bible to examine it. You may usually only watch movies and not read the Bible, which is why you ask such questions. I think, the most important thing is whether the outcome can solve people's problems!
Question 21: The Confusion of Educating Children
Q: Faith relies on extensive reading. Most Christians become scholarly families. I want to ask, how can we use the spirit of faith to educate children to love learning, become pillars of society, and build a harmonious society?
A: The Christian faith believes that ignorant people will perish. How to use faith to educate children to read is not a problem that the Bible intends to solve. You don't read about this in the Bible. Why does a child live like that, not loving to learn or make progress? Because the child lacks ability. Ability comes from faith. So, it is very important for a child to become a person of faith. If a child is a person of faith, he will definitely become a talent. If a child is not a person of faith and retreats when encountering difficulties, it will be a bit difficult. In fact, educating children and shaping their character is very important. The core of a child's character is faith, so it is very important to give children faith. Faith is built on faith in God's word.
Question 22: The Confusion of Whether Life's Efforts Are Sinful
Q: Desires and life are endless topics. I want to ask, are life's desires a sin? Our lives are full of infinite desires. Does this mean that sin surrounds us all day long? Is effort a sin?
A: Are life’s desires a sin? It depends on what kind of desires. It’s like a kitchen knife. A kitchen knife can cut vegetables, and it can also kill people. It is normal for people to want to live well, but what does it mean to live well? Everyone interprets it differently. Some people think that pampering the flesh and indulging the flesh is desire. Some people like to pursue dreams, have visions and faith, and desire to be a blessing to many people. So, everyone's desires are different. As for me, I have a desire to be a blessing to many people like Abraham in the Bible. I also work hard to run towards this goal, but I don't think this is a sin.
Question 23: The Confusion of Identifying Good and Evil in Interpersonal Relationships
Q: Identifying good and evil, in fact, we struggle every day to identify good and evil. Tolerance and love are ways to change the identification of good and evil. Skillfulness is a way of life. How do we balance good and evil in interpersonal interactions?
A: Identifying good and evil is actually judging things according to one's own standards. If you judge things according to God's standards, it is not called identifying good and evil. If people judge things according to their own standards, it is troublesome. In fact, people need to live according to God's word. By learning God's word, they can know what God's will is. Why don't people live well? It is because they don't understand God's word, and then they think they know, and as a result, they live according to their own ideas, and as a result, they don't live well. What is called balancing good and evil is a new term. People should try to interact healthily and build healthy relationships, not use each other.
We do not build relationships of mutual exploitation because we have God. With God, we don't need many things. For example, Daniel in the Book of Daniel, he continued to serve as the Prime Minister of the Babylonian Empire, and later as the Prime Minister of the Persian Empire. Those were emperors of three or four dynasties, all very powerful. Did Daniel need to balance good and evil? He didn't need to. He only needed to hold on to God tightly.
Question 24: The Confusion of Pursuing Interests
Q: Interests are a topic of life. Noah's Ark can protect us from disasters. Joshua conquered and ruled the entire land. Jacob used all means to obtain the birthright. Moses led the Israelites across the Red Sea. Life has pursuits, and interests are life's pursuits. Faith preserves our pursuit. How do we understand the various interest disputes in real life and obtain interests?
A: People who can't see through will ask this kind of question. People can't see through what it means to live. In fact, many things in a person's life are vanity. Why did Jacob use all kinds of means to obtain the birthright? Because he felt that people don't just live and die. He felt that he needed God. He needed to obtain the covenant that God made with his grandfather and his father Isaac. He felt that this birthright was very important. He had to obtain it no matter what because he needed God.
Later, the Bible actually seemed to praise Jacob's actions. Later, God became the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, but He did not become the God of Esau. Jacob’s action is called Mingding Destiny. Life needs to have pursuits; otherwise, it will become meaningless. People need to come out of a vain life and enter into Mingding Destiny. Mingding Destiny is the meaning of life that Abraham sought. People think that interests are their meaning, that is wrong! Pursuing interests is like Cao Cao. A person must have pursuits in life. The argument that interests are life's pursuits is not clear in itself.
Our God needs us to have Mingding Destiny. When we pursue Mingding Destiny, it is not a selfish motive, but to become a blessing to many people. Because the Bible clearly states that the Mingding Destiny God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was that their descendants would become a great nation, and all nations on earth would be blessed through them. This is what they wanted. If you want money and interests, that's troublesome!
Question 25: The Confusion of Authorization for Healing and Deliverance
Q: A brother in the church is breaking curses and doing healing and deliverance for other brothers and sisters, about a dozen people at a time. Our pastor or his wife said that they are now authorizing Brother So-and-so to do healing and deliverance. I don't quite understand this authorization thing. Can the teacher explain it?
A: Regarding authorization, Jesus gave the authority to His disciples to go out to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. This is recorded in the Bible. So, what does it mean that his pastor or his wife authorized them? Actually, I don't do this kind of thing very often. Actually, “authorizing” Brother So-and-so makes him think he has obtained something, letting them do healing and deliverance. That is to say, these pastors and their wives have to take responsibility after these people are done, because this is the authorization they gave. So, they have to take responsibility. What does Jesus authorize us to do? Because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ, those of us who trust in Jesus Christ to build God’s glorious church should do healing and deliverance according to what is taught in the Bible. Because the most basic work of the church is healing and deliverance. As for this authorization thing, I can't explain it well either, it just means being able to take responsibility.
Question 26: The Confusion of Spiritual Covering
Q: The pastor of the church is a spiritual covering, and the cell group leader in the church is the spiritual covering of the cell group below. What does the teacher think about the concept of spiritual covering?
A: I believe that such a church emphasizes authority more. Being under someone's covering means being under someone's authority, and that is called covering. You ask me, and I rarely talk about this concept because I don't know what the Bible says about this thing called covering. Actually, I don't talk about the concept of covering much. I think Mingding Destiny is more important. What is called covering? Covering is the authority above.
Question 27: The Confusion of Speaking in New Tongues and Interpreting Tongues
Q: Mark 16:17 mentions new tongues, 1 Corinthians 12:10 mentions the gift of tongues, and Acts 10:46, 19:6 also mention tongues. What are the differences between these three types of tongues?
A: Regarding the differences between these three types of tongues, to be honest, I am not a person who has studied this in depth. Some people have studied this more deeply. Speaking of tongues, its starting point is in Jesus Christ's Mark 16:17, These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues, that is to say, speaking in new tongues is closely connected with those who believe in me and has a close relationship with signs and wonders. When did this happen? It happened when the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost in the Book of Acts. Why talk about this? In the first chapter of the Book of Acts, Jesus said, Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about… you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. As a result, what did these people receive when the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost? They received power and also received tongues in prayer. In what situation was this tongues in prayer? That is, one hundred and twenty disciples were saying wah lah wah lah together, and they seemed to be drunk. The people around them thought they were also drunk and thought they heard them speaking their native languages.
That is such a record, that is, a new language. Later, in the eighth and tenth chapters of the Book of Acts, they were talking about whether these people had received the Holy Spirit or not, whether they had tongues in prayer or not. In the nineteenth chapter and sixth verse, it was mentioned that Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. So, this tongue is basically the tongue that is spoken, and the Holy Spirit came on them and spoke languages they did not know.
Question 28: The Confusion of Speaking in Tongues in Meetings
Q: 1 Corinthians 14:26-28 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. If no one can interpret tongues in the meeting, should they not be allowed to speak?
A: In 1 Corinthians, he has another discussion. Those who prophesy speak to people for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort, because prophesying is teaching on an intellectual level, and praying in tongues is something that no one can hear, which edifies oneself. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries in the Spirit. Now we must say that speaking in tongues is not speaking to people but to God, because no one can understand it. Later, in the church, something arose, and I don't know when it arose, that is, 1 Corinthians 12:10. How does this rising thing work? That is, someone speaks in tongues, and someone next to him interprets. Why interpret? If it is not interpreted, everyone does not know what he is saying, so why is it called interpreting tongues? In fact, we have not used the gifts of speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues. To be honest, I don't know how to do it.
So, I really don't know how to answer the matter of speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues in 1 Corinthians 12:10, because the matter of interpreting tongues is not mentioned in the previous passage. 1 Corinthians 12:10 mentions speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues. I think this is the work of the Holy Spirit. What was the scene at that time?
What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. (1 Corinthians 14:26-28)
This passage is inseparable from the scene at that time. The Corinthian church had a habit: at that time, there was no pastor preaching in the meeting, but someone would stand up at any time and speak in tongues, and then another person would interpret it for him. If no one explained it, then no one would understand what the speaker in tongues was saying. Everyone seemed to be using the time for preaching to speak in tongues. So, in order to correct this matter, Paul requested that only two or three people should speak, and someone should interpret, so as not to create chaos. This was the method of the Corinthian church at that time.
In real life, I have also seen people speak in tongues and someone next to them interpret tongues. This has happened several times, and each time they have said almost the same thing. My view is: what is the significance of this? This is actually the person interpreting tongues preaching. I may not be qualified to speak on this matter, because I don't really have this gift of interpreting tongues. Maybe in the future, may God lead!
Question 29: The Confusion of Rules and Order
Q: 1 Corinthians 14:40 But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. Does the order here refer to submission in the church? Or the order of operation of the gifts?
A: In a fitting and orderly way is very important. For example, if someone is always praying in tongues while someone is preaching, then there is no way to preach. If someone is always chattering and speaking in tongues during Bible study, then there is no way to study the Bible. Therefore, everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. Without rules, there will be chaos.
Why would someone keep speaking in tongues when they should be listening to preaching and Bible study? Actually, they are showing off. This is a very bad thing.
Question 30: The Confusion of Being Filled with the Holy Spirit and Praying in Tongues
Q: Acts 2:4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Is the other tongues here new tongues or the gift of tongues? Do all those who are filled with the Holy Spirit have to speak in tongues? Does every believer have to speak in new tongues?
A: Regarding this question, since the first time being filled with the Holy Spirit was like this, then the later filling with the Holy Spirit should also be like this, right? If you say not necessarily, then you can have different opinions. But if you ask me, I think we should do what others have done, that is, insist on being filled with the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues.
Later, I found that praying in tongues is a bit difficult for some people because they are unwilling to open their mouths. Began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. This matter is not described so clearly in the Bible. The Bible does not clearly record how praying in tongues is actually spoken. But I don't think it is an external force controlling people's mouths to speak. In fact, many people who pray in tongues are saying it themselves later, without external force controlling them. I can speak in tongues whenever I want to. Any language is spoken by people themselves. People's mouths are their own, and they can control them themselves. If they are controlled by external forces, that would be scary! If people like to be controlled by external forces and have no control of themselves, then I am a little unable to accept it.
When I train people to receive tongues, I don't care how they say it, as long as they open their mouths and say it, it's okay. Because God is in control of everything, we believe in Jesus, and we believe that God is in control. God can definitely manage this matter well. I believe that God is still in control. So, don't be confused anymore, just do it according to the way the first filling with the Holy Spirit was.
Question 31: The Confusion of the Kingdom of God and the Righteousness of God
Q: The Bible says, But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. What does the kingdom of God and the righteousness of God refer to?
A: It seems that I have answered this question before. The kingdom of God is all the good things in God's kingdom. This is seeking the kingdom of God. The righteousness of God is faith.
Question 32: The Confusion of Suffering
Q: Those who love the Lord suffer, and those who do not love the Lord also suffer. Why?
A: In fact, those who love the Lord suffer for the Lord; those who do not love the Lord suffer for not loving the Lord. This is normal and there is nothing to it. If a person's life is just like a pig, living in a pen, having food and drink when the time comes, you don't seem to suffer anything. But sometimes people really need to suffer. Why? Because suffering is beneficial to people! People often don't understand! Not suffering and living well, this person has food and drink and feels blessed, but in fact, he does not know that he has no eternal life, no hope, nothing, just living, eating, drinking, and waiting to die. If people do not suffer, how can they wake up?
Therefore, those who love the Lord can know God more in suffering. When David suffered and was persecuted in his early years, he wrote many psalms and had a clear understanding of God. Later, after becoming king, he slept until sunset and committed sin.
Suffering is beneficial to people, but people just don't know it. We think that it is good for people to live well, have food and drink, and finally live and die, but it is not. People must live out the meaning of life. Therefore, those who love the Lord suffer for the Lord; those who do not love the Lord suffer for things that do not love the Lord. Suffering for loving the Lord is glorious suffering. Suffering without loving the Lord is suffering in a curse, with no glory at all!
Conclusion: Believing in the Lord Requires Establishing a Logical System of Believing.
Let’s do a summary: believing in the Lord requires establishing a logical system of believing. If you do not establish such a logical system of faith, there will be many questions to ask, and the answers will never be exhausted. For example, someone will ask: I believe in the Lord, so please help me with my work? He feels that after a person believes in the Lord, I need to help him with his work. Actually, it is not like that. God will help us in all aspects after we believe in the Lord. But God wants us to know one thing, that those who trust in Him will never be put to shame!
That is to say, in this world, people must know that they are people. If we are human, then we know that we need God. If we know that we are human, then we will know that many disasters cannot be predicted or avoided at all, and there is no way to resist them at all. If disaster strikes, life will end, and there will be nothing left. If we know that we are human, then how can we not need God? Work is not our God. I believe in the Lord not for the sake of good work, but if we have God, don’t we have everything?
If you establish such a logical system of believing in the Lord, you will find that keeping and following God's word is a very simple and natural thing. Keeping and following God's word is our way of life after we believe in the Lord. But today many of us think: If I keep and follow God's word, how can I live this life! If you cannot pass this level, you will live in eternal confusion. If you carefully observe and practice, and implement it according to God's word, you will find that this is a blessed thing and is a matter of course. Like that old man said: Yes, why do I need you to persuade me to let me be blessed? That's the point.
That's all for today, may God bless everyone!
