The Key is Solving the Problem

Good day to everyone, I am very happy to meet you online again! Today, we will continue to look at Leviticus Chapter 13. After reading this chapter, I believe everyone will have a deep confusion: Why are some things defined as clean and some as unclean, and what is the use of clean and unclean? In the Old Testament, things worked this way, they could only be defined as clean or unclean.

Today's medicine is also roughly the same. It can explain the underlying principles of the disease, but many problems cannot be solved, and many diseases cannot be cured. Medicine, as developed today, is often in a state of helplessness. It can identify the coronavirus and explain how it works, but after the explanation, can it solve the problem? Or can the vaccine solve it after it comes out?

In fact, even today, for diseases such as cancer, AIDS, stroke, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction... medicine seems to be able to explain the causes, because of this, because of that, but these diseases are still the number one killer of mankind. In fact, studying clean and unclean is not as good as studying better content, and this content is in the New Testament of the Bible. The key is to be able to solve the problem. If you don't grasp the essence of the problem, it's just a shadow of the problem.

Today we are studying Leviticus Chapter 13. Everyone should know that the priests at that time were also very helpless. All they could do was check whether it was clean or unclean, and drive the unclean person out of the camp, and this person would live alone outside the camp, living alone. Therefore, those with leprosy and those with bleeding were very hard because they were unclean. Wherever they went, they had to cover their upper lip and shout: Unclean! Unclean! When people heard it, they would all avoid it, and even the person's name became unclean. But in fact, this does not solve the problem.

Today we need to think about the issue of cleanliness or uncleanness. It is a superficial explanation given by the Old Testament, which can only explain the cause, define it as clean or unclean, but cannot solve the problem. In fact, when we study Hebrews in the New Testament, we will find that the Old Testament is a shadow of the New Testament, and true salvation is in the New Testament.

Jesus gave us a demonstration: those with leprosy were cleansed when they came to Jesus, the blind could see when they came to Jesus, and the lame could walk when they came to Jesus. That is to say, what is the essence of this thing? The Old Testament Bible is just a shadow. If you don't grasp the essence of things, you cannot solve the problem.

In the New Testament Bible, there are many denominations of Christianity, such as: so-and-so sect, they like to explain very much, explaining and explaining, but they cannot solve the problem, they just know how to talk, it is like this or that. In fact, after the explanation, it is almost as if there is no explanation. I don't think explanation is very useful. After the explanation, the problem must be solved; if it cannot be solved, then it is just a shadow, a model, not the essence of the matter.

God Wants to Reveal the Thoughts in People's Hearts

Although we are studying Leviticus Chapter 13, we find that skin diseases are related to cleanliness or uncleanness. But if we bring in the gospel of Jesus Christ mentioned in the New Testament Bible, and then look at Leviticus Chapter 13, it will be easier to understand. Otherwise, it will be difficult for us to find the answer in Chapter 13. What can we do if we see what is clean or what is unclean? It's useless. For example, if someone comes to us and asks whether it is clean or unclean, and then finds that they are unclean, but what problem can it solve? It's still useless.

Let's think about one thing: How did people get leprosy? Why do people have so many disasters and diseases? What is going on with these disasters and diseases? I will share with you my own vision: From the Old Testament to the New Testament, it is said that God will reveal the thoughts and intentions in people's hearts.

That is to say: the dirt in people's hearts will be expressed on the body. The human body is very obedient. No matter how dirty your thoughts are, your body will be dirty. This dirt is actually traceable. For example, some brothers and sisters have certain diseases. I will habitually think: It turns out that there is this kind of thing in his mind. For example, distinguishing good from evil will bring many problems. We must see the essence through the outward appearance.

Jesus Christ came to reveal the thoughts and intentions in people's hearts. How to reveal it? It is through physical illness. We must know that God will not make mistakes, and ghosts will not make mistakes. The only ones who make mistakes are probably ourselves. Some time ago, I led the brothers and sisters to pray, and I found that some people's feet were swollen, and they got better after praying, but the disease came back after a few days.

So how did this disease come back? This requires searching for the answer in the depths of people's minds. You may ask: It was fine after praying before, why did it come back again? This tells us that the root cause of the disease in our minds has not been removed, and in the end, the fundamental problem cannot be solved.

After Being Cleansed, the Important Thing is to Follow Jesus Christ

We need to know three things: Carnality, love of the world, and distinguishing good from evil. These three things are the root cause of many problems.

God really has abundant grace and mercy. Jesus Christ came to reveal the thoughts in people's hearts. How is it revealed? It is when this person encounters a problem, whether he is willing to come to Jesus, which immediately divides people into two types. Those who came to Jesus were healed, but of those who were healed by Jesus, such as the ten lepers, only one came back to thank God, what about the other nine? Disappeared.

Think about it: A person with leprosy has to shout when walking: Unclean! Unclean! Others quickly avoid it when they hear it, for fear of being infected. As a result, Jesus healed them. After they were healed, they should at least think: I was cleansed by Jesus. Who is this Jesus and why can he cleanse me? This person is too powerful, he must be a treasure! I will follow Jesus well in my life. This is normal human logic.

But these people didn't think that way. After they got better, they went wild. They hadn't been anywhere for a long time, so they hurried to play; they hadn't eaten a certain food for a long time, so they hurried to enjoy it, I have to pamper myself, so I went to eat; I haven't seen my parents and family for a long time, so I have to hurry back to see them; I couldn't go to places before, but now I can finally go, so I indulge myself. But they forgot Jesus.

I have seen many similar situations during my ministry. Today I would like to remind everyone: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Clean or unclean, on the surface, it is a skin problem, leprosy, or some kind of disaster. But it is actually the dirt in the bones, the dirt in thoughts and intentions, expressed on the skin. God reveals people's thoughts and intentions through disasters and diseases.

We Are All Sinners and Need Cleansing

Of course, I am no exception. If you see me afflicted with some ailment, do not be alarmed. Do not take me as the standard of holiness; I am but a sinner. God indeed uses many people, but I am not the standard of holiness. Only Jesus Christ is the standard of holiness.

So today, let us not be confused. What is so perplexing about seeing a sinner healing the sick and casting out demons? It is quite normal for God to use sinners. But the issue is: the thoughts in one's heart will certainly be revealed. Jesus Christ came to reveal the thoughts in people's hearts. For example, ten lepers were healed, but nine disappeared. How filthy must be the thoughts in their minds.

The problems in the thoughts and intentions of the heart will inevitably manifest as physical ailments. This is what I have seen in my ministry. Whether this is truth requires us to carefully examine it, and not to examine it in others, but in ourselves. The misfortunes and illnesses we encounter are clear evidence that we are all sinners and we all need cleansing.

Jesus is Selecting the Treasures Who Are Willing to Follow Him

How could Jesus heal lepers when He came? How could He cleanse these people? It is because the grace of Jesus Christ has come upon us, and by the wounds of Jesus Christ we are healed. The illness did not go elsewhere; it was borne by Jesus. Don't we owe Jesus a debt of gratitude? Why did Jesus heal these people? Before people did anything for Jesus, Jesus did these things for us, to give people an opportunity to repent, to give people an opportunity to experience God, to give people an opportunity to say that Jesus is precious. This immediately filters people out.

Some people, after experiencing healing, say, Jesus Christ is the treasure of my life. Others, having experienced the same healing, say, It's just so-so, nothing special. I have ministered to many people, with countless earth-shattering miracles, but they take it for granted. If we neglect such a great salvation, how shall we escape? In this way, the thoughts of our hearts are revealed before God.

Once, Jesus and His disciples were eating, and they did not wash their hands before the meal. As a result, the Pharisees said, Why don't you wash your hands? How unclean! Jesus said, In fact, washing or not washing hands does not defile a person, but the thoughts in a person's heart can defile a person. That is, the thoughts in a person's heart have a profound impact on a person's illness. These thoughts include indulging the flesh, loving the world, and discerning good and evil. These three things actually encompass a lot of content, which I often talk about in my Bible study sermons.

After Receiving the Grace of Healing, the Heart Must Choose to Turn Back to God

The things in the thoughts of the heart will affect the body, so the cleanness and uncleanness in the thoughts of the heart are crucial, and that is the root of solving the problem. However, before we are cleansed in our hearts, God heals us first, so that we can receive God's grace, so that the thoughts of our hearts can turn back to God. If your illness is healed and then returns repeatedly, there is only one reason: your thoughts still need to be dealt with. The thoughts in people's hearts are often very dirty.

What Jesus spoke of is the essence of things; Leviticus speaks of nothing more than a shadow. We see the content in Leviticus being explained again and again, but there are still many incomprehensible things, such as being cleansed after being covered with leprosy, which is difficult for us to understand. But in the New Testament, God is the God who heals us. God has bestowed abundant grace and mercy, allowing us to be cleansed by faith through the precious blood of Jesus.

In the blink of an eye, a new year has arrived. Let us, in the depths of our hearts, ask for the cleansing of the precious blood of Jesus. After the blood of Jesus is applied, the devil becomes illegal in us, the things the devil does in us will be revealed, and then the devil will be driven out, and our problems can be solved.

Our thoughts need to be cleansed by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit works in our hearts to put to death the deeds of the body, to cleanse the deep filth in our thoughts. But understand that the blood of Jesus covers our transgressions, but does not solve all the problems, because covering only covers the past. Where is the root of solving the problem today? It is that our thoughts must turn back to God, and we must repent of the filth in our thoughts.

We must all know that the uncleanness that is manifested is one thing, but what about the uncleanness that is not manifested? After we recognize it, do we still need to repent before Jesus Christ and ask the Holy Spirit to add strength to us to overcome the dark forces behind it?

Conclusion: Rely on the Holy Spirit to Mortify the Flesh and Cleanse the Mind

Leviticus chapter 13 speaks of the problem of the skin. It is a good thing that the thoughts of the heart are manifested through the skin. If it is not manifested through the skin, but grows on the liver, it is liver cancer; if it grows on the kidney, it is kidney cancer; if it grows on other organs, it is other cancers, which are almost life-threatening problems and cause greater sins.

Whether it manifests on the skin as red spots or redness and swelling, we must thank God for giving us the opportunity to make a deep repentance in our hearts through the problem of the skin, and ask the Holy Spirit to give us strength to overcome the dirty thoughts within us.

What we are talking about in Leviticus 13, the real solution to the problem is in the New Testament. Through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, we are cleansed, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, working in us, we can put to death the deeds of the body and remove the filth in our thoughts. If we want to be staunch Christians, relying solely on God, relying on the Spirit of God, to put to death the deeds of the body, we can avoid many disasters and illnesses.

Therefore, I would like to guide everyone not to get entangled in the literal meaning of Leviticus. If you want to get entangled, you must repent deeply in the depths of your heart, let the Spirit of God help us, rely on the Spirit of God to put to death the deeds of the body, cleanse our minds, and let us live out God's good will. Such people will surely prosper and be healthy!
