Introduction

Good morning! I will continue to share with you about the spiritual realm, specifically the Spirit of Lamech, which should really be called the Spirit of Violence or the Spirit of the Strongman. The logical system of the strongman has infiltrated the marrow of every person. Take, for example, Kazuo Inamori, who founded two Fortune 500 companies in his lifetime. A true achiever! He turned around the bankrupt Japan Airlines, making it another Fortune 500 company. He accomplished many great things in his life.

Whenever I mention Kazuo Inamori, I see some sisters' eyes light up with admiration, wishing they could marry him, even though he is an old man. We all feel this way, thinking he is incredibly capable and worthy of worship! Then, when we see Kazuo Inamori in our WeChat Moments, we immediately give a like! When we see him on TikTok, we also give a like! It's all about the strongman. Do we think he is impressive now? Yes, we do. But this entire logical system is one of strongman worship. We must gradually recognize how these spiritual forces corrupt people.

Humans are fascinating creatures. Do you know how interesting humans can be? They can end up living like beasts. That's why I often say: I am not afraid of encountering ghosts; I am afraid of encountering people. If a ghost suddenly appears, I wouldn't be too concerned because ghosts can't wield knives or clubs. What I fear most is people; people can be truly wicked!

There was a child who, in his teens, witnessed his neighbor beat his mother to death. The child was helpless and clenched his small fists in anger. Later, he joined the army, and after his service, he found an opportunity to kill the entire family of three who had killed his mother. He was eventually sentenced to death. This incident caused a great stir online. Before his death, the child comforted his father, saying, It's okay. It seemed he had no regrets, but rather felt comforted because he had avenged his mother! To this day, it remains a controversial case. Why did no one pay for his mother's life when she was beaten to death? Because they had power and influence!

We must understand that in any country, what is the law for? The law serves those people. Let's consider this incident: what was the child thinking? He thought, I must become a strongman in the future and avenge my mother! Later, he realized he wasn't strong enough. Why? Because his wealth, status, and fame couldn't compare to theirs. They were powerful in the village, while the weak could only engage in petty terror. Strongmen engage in great terror, while the weak engage in petty terror.

Recently, there was another news story about three children killing another child and burying him, as if nothing had happened. We were all shocked. What exactly happened? You offended them. You can't afford to offend these people. They will truly harm you. The other day, I accidentally bumped someone's bicycle and was terrified! The person's head was throbbing with veins, and I quickly apologized profusely, managing to escape the situation.

This world is like a child. Haven't you noticed that it is filled with the logic of strongmen, always killing each other? Children play by killing one or killing one at a time; adults play by killing ten thousand at a time. Boom! You drop a bomb; it’s definitely not an egg. But these are not new things.

Since ancient times, the earth has been full of violence. The heroes we admire are built on mountains of bones! The heroes we worship, whether it's Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, or Genghis Khan, they are all built on human lives. Who invented this? Humans did. We must develop a habit of examining these things: is your worship of heroes correct? Therefore, valuing ability and worshiping heroes can be deadly!

A small country felt surrounded by powerful nations and needed protection, so it joined a pact. Then, the neighboring powerful nation became unhappy, thinking, Your joining that pact threatens my security! Actually, it had little to do with its security, but it still sent troops to attack! Many tens of thousands died, and then they continued to conscript ten thousand, twenty thousand more.

In fact, these countries really can't compare to China. China was incredibly powerful, sending out two hundred thousand troops thousands of years ago. They are even more backward than back then, like children's games. In other words, this logic of the strongman, this spirit of violence, has taken root in people's marrow, and they still think they are great. Even at seventy or eighty years old, they are still fighting and grabbing! Thinking what will happen, but in reality, it's nothing. In the end, they are just like you and me, ending up in an urn. This is the spirit of violence!

Why do people live this way their entire lives? I am also puzzled. It is a spirit that pushes people to think and live this way, living such tiring lives! But the ending is still the same. Some are strongmen, and some are weaklings. Strongmen are those who kill, and weaklings are those who are killed. May God have mercy and grant us wisdom to walk out of both! Because whether you kill or are killed, it is meaningless!

This root starts from Cain, and by the time of Lamech, this theory had increased elevenfold. You ask me, How do you calculate that? Anyone who kills Cain will be avenged sevenfold; by Lamech, it would be avenged seventy-sevenfold. Now, it's even worse, avenged seven hundred and seventy thousandfold! Dropping a nuclear bomb is seven hundred and seventy thousandfold. Killing is really fast, so advanced! It's more efficient than a slaughterhouse; no need to remove fur or keep the meat. A nuclear bomb leaves nothing. It's all barbecue, turned to ashes! Truly, in the midst of jokes, the strong ships are reduced to ashes!

If you want to be a strongman, there will be an even stronger strongman. If you haven't met a stronger one, you will meet a stronger God. You say, How do you know? No one on earth was more powerful than Nimrod, but Nimrod was a hunter before the Lord. He went to God to wrestle with Him. If you analyze it carefully, is a strongman's life good? No, a strongman's life is not good, and their death is not good either.

Even now, people still admire the logic of strongmen and great men in their bones. That's not cleverness; that's being an enemy of God! There are many examples. Just take a handful, from Zhuge Liang to Guan Yu, Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Zhao Zilong – these were all very capable people, but their endings were tragic. Including Cao Cao, who lived his entire life in the Lamech system. I wonder, isn't it good to live as a commoner? No, you have to be Cao Cao! These are figures from the Three Kingdoms period, and there are even more such cases in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.

If there are any among us who admire the logic of the strongman, you need to be careful. You say, Oh, teacher, you are so amazing! That's bad. What's amazing about it? If it weren't for God's grace back then, I would be ashes now. This is being ability-based, walking the logical system of the strongman, which is terrible! You are not strong enough, and you still want to walk that path? Even strong people can't make it, and you, not strong enough, still want to walk it?

I knew from a young age that my destiny was not in my hands. Let's not talk about anything else; just consider traffic accidents. More people die on the road than are killed by terrorism, and you can't explain it clearly. The other day, I saw a video: a person was waiting at a traffic light when a car came along and, out of nowhere, slammed into and sent the person flying! There was also a video where, I don't know if the kid had taken the wrong medicine, a bunch of people were crossing the street in a crosswalk, and he drove his car and hit more than a dozen of them. Who provoked whom? No one provoked anyone. Relying on your own abilities, you can't even protect yourself.

Brothers and sisters, if we are to boast, let us boast only in the Lord Jesus. That is, our ability comes from God. The Spirit of Lamech has ensnared many people until today. I hope to pull you out of Lamech. Who can attain eternal life because of great ability? Who can live well because of their own ability? Who can see the essence of this matter?

Like Lot, he looked and saw Sodom, hearing that the king of Sodom was very powerful. The king of Sodom had made the country's politics, economy, finance, science, technology, education, and most importantly, entertainment, absolutely outstanding! Sodom under the rule of the king of Sodom was thriving and its national power was growing stronger, breaking away from Chedorlaomer.

Lot looked at Abraham, thinking the old man was too meek and mild-mannered. He thought the king of Sodom was much more powerful! Lot constantly told stories to Abraham, who couldn't stand it anymore and said to Lot, Leave! So Abraham sent him away. Lot left happily. But his vision was flawed, seeing only the powerful strongman.

Let's look at science, technology, economy, and national power – impressive! Does this set of logic run deep in our bones? It does! Even today, we are still training our children to walk this path, resulting in collapse. Yesterday, while I was eating, I saw a parent tutoring their child. As they taught, the parent's voice grew louder and louder, and the child couldn't take it anymore and started arguing with their mother. I found this path very interesting. Lot saw ability, and our education today is still training this. I've noticed that you have all been taught wrong, and I need to pull you out of this.

Lamech was very powerful. He was a hero of his time, and his family, spanning three generations, were all famous figures of that era, like founding fathers. You ask, how deep is this root? Why do I call it the Spirit of Lamech? It's because that entire generation was washed away by the flood, leaving only Noah's family. So there shouldn't be anyone like Lamech anymore, right? But then Nimrod appeared. Isn't that incredible? It's endless!

These heroes are all dead, and the curse is deep! The things people are born with and the education they receive afterward need to be examined one by one against the Word of God. What can be torn down should be torn down. Upon examination, this is the logic of Lamech, this is the logic of Nimrod. There are two paths: one path is relying on God, and the other is relying on oneself.

If you rely on yourself, what do you do? Whoever threatens you, if you have eggs, you throw eggs; if you have nuclear bombs, you throw nuclear bombs. It's easy to develop an ability-based mindset throughout one's life. One of our sisters, when she was ten years old, her mother was bullied. Who bullied her mother were the village aunties. She clenched her small fists tightly, vowing to avenge her mother! As a result, she grew up unhealthy and needed deliverance. Another of our sisters, whose mother is actually in our church, had a foot problem and was also bullied in the village. But they later believed in the Lord, and having God's protection is the best.

Even now, I must tell you, how do you survive without God's protection? Whoever wants to harass you will harass you; whoever wants to bully you will bully you. But if you are an Abraham, those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed. God protects you. How amazing is that! Why does a person become a Lamech? Because they only live for this life. That is, a person whose foundation is in this life is beastly! Because when they die, it's all over. All their hope is in their lifetime. If a person seeks eternal life, God values them, bestows eternal glory upon them, and makes them an Abraham in this life. This is very clear.

Cain made love to his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch. To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech. Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock. His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes. Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain’s sister was Naamah. Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. If Cain is avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times.” (Genesis 4:17-24)

Prayer

God, grant us spiritual eyes so that we can clearly see the essence behind this logical system of the strongman, and so that we can better understand the corruption of this thing. God, save us from this Lamech's logical system, so that we may live out Your glorious appearance. God, open our minds so that we may recognize this Spirit of Lamech, recognize this Spirit of the Strongman, and so that we may be free. God, release us so that we can be free, so that we may be blessed and receive grace in You, to run this road to eternal life! Let us thoroughly tear down all hope and all dreams in this world. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Scripture Background

After Cain killed Abel, he was driven out by God. He wandered on the earth, and then he married. Some people ask, who did he marry? We don't know; we won't discuss that, but he certainly did. Where did they come from? Adam and Eve must have had several more daughters. Cain had a child named Enoch, and he built a city for Enoch, which he named Enoch. Amazing, extraordinary achievement!

To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech. Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. (Genesis 4:18-19)

If you pay a little attention, you will find that Adah gave birth to a son named Jabal. Jabal was the father of those who raise livestock; he was an expert, a top livestock scientist. Jabal's brother was Jubal, meaning Adah gave birth to two sons. This son was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes. There is a place called Qin Tai Seeks Zhiyinyin, probably at that level, or even higher.

Zillah, Lamech's other wife, gave birth to Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. He was also a master! So this matter is very interesting. The Bible doesn't record Cain's other descendants, only dealing with one person named Lamech, and even spending a little space to record it here. It turns out that the whole family were high-achievers, all very famous figures, a family of high-achievers!

Science, technology, art, military, agriculture, animal husbandry, and also urban planning and design – in other words, this set of things is very powerful. Did the construction of the city of Sodom inherit the techniques of Cain building the city? We don't know. We know that the flood washed them all away. But Sodom also built its city very well. This makes people very confused: they were cursed, so how could they still be so amazing? Cursed and still amazing. Do you want to be a cursed person and also be an achiever? Very impressive! But this family of achievers, having gained many things, began to float, their wings were about to grow, horns were about to grow on their heads, and fur was about to grow on their faces. They became bull demons.

The position of leader is no joke, because there are always challengers. Where there is a leader, there is always a number two. I recently read some interesting articles: the abilities of the number two and the leader are not too far apart. If the leader and the number two were to fight, the leader might get punched a few times and might not win. This is like the lion pride in the African animal world, where the young lions kill the old lions when they grow up. That's roughly the idea. The one who challenges is the number two, challenging the authority. If it's potential, the leader's authority cannot tolerate the number two.

You must know that if you are the number two in a company, you must be very careful, because the number two's job is not easy. Think about it: those great men of the past appointed a successor, and then the successor was killed. Then they appointed another successor, who was also killed. The number two's job is very dangerous! Some people are smarter and say, I'll just be number three. The leader and number three squeeze the number two to death.

So this matter makes us feel very interesting. Where is the interesting thing? Although he was cursed, he became a very powerful person. I ask you, having become a master-level figure, does he have a spirit behind him? Is this spirit a good spirit or a bad spirit? I must tell you, many things in this world are a shadow of the spiritual realm. Lamech's ancestral grave is smoking with green smoke, and that green smoke is demonic energy. Lamech's family had the influence of the spiritual world, and then his family, the sons he gave birth to, look, one is a celebrity, another is a celebrity. Lamech was also very powerful; he became the leader of that generation.

Lamech said to his wives, Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. (Genesis 4:23)

Is Lamech like the strong lion in the lion pride challenging the old lion? Pretty much the same logic. A young man injures me, and I kill him. What does it mean? This is a competitor who has already reached number two, and I want to kill you. And a potential one, kill the potential one too, leaving absolutely no one! Everyone now understands that China's ancient history gives us a deep lesson: the emperors who conquered the world had all the meritorious ministers eliminated one by one. If it were you, you would have to get wisdom. What does this matter show us? It shows us that Lamech seems to have the same disease as Cao Cao, which means that the spirit on Lamech's body is very similar to the spirit on Cao Cao's body.

So, this kind of story repeats itself over and over. Let us begin to understand how the evil spirits behind it operate. When we understand how these evil spirits operate, we must be careful. I tell you, it is difficult for the powerful and influential people in this world to know God because their eyes are fixed on the great achievements they have made. They are very satisfied with what they have done. I don't know how this thing can trap people's minds so firmly. I thank God that we did not climb up there. If we had climbed up there, we would have been trapped, too, with various interest groups intertwined, trapping you in that net.

What happened to these people later? This culture constantly evolved, and God washed them all away with a flood. No matter what kind of ancestor you are, no matter what kind of ability you have, in the end, God washed them all away with a flood. Weren't you relying on your own ability? When the flood comes, swim! Can you swim out? You can't swim out. Not to mention the flood, can you swim out if a tsunami comes? It would be good if you could swim out. Tsunamis are terrifying!

Therefore, if you rely on your own ability and climb to the top, you will face God, and God will deal with you. God says, I let you climb, and you climb up to me. What do you want to do? You want to die? Okay, I'll grant you! As a result, you get trapped. Lamech was like that, and what about his son Jabal? They were all big shots. When the second son wanted to challenge them, the whole earth was filled with violence. What about Jubal and Tubal-Cain? They were all the same!

Be Careful of the Spirit of Lamech (I): Truly Very Capable

You say, is this really very capable? It is really very capable. Then isn't this really very deceptive? Just compare with those big shots: Tencent, Alibaba, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. Xiaomi is not small; it is a vast empire worth billions. Their songs are also very good. Are You Ok? Are you ok? Ok! They are really very capable, so people get confused. Some people come among us and think I am very capable. How can I be? Compared to those people, I am just a sesame seed. Moreover, I really don't have much ability, so the spirit of Lamech creates a great deal of confusion for people.

What do you think Lamech thought of himself? He thought he was very impressive, that his sons were well-educated. His sons also thought they were very impressive, and his grandsons were also very impressive. They were all impressive, a family of impressive people, just short of a golden calf. They are really very capable, but being very capable does not mean eternal life! I ask you, once you have achieved a great career, you will feel great about yourself, and you will write a stirring poem. Like Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, Emperor Taizong of Tang, Emperor Taizu of Song, and Genghis Khan, they all thought they were very capable. But what is the problem? The problem is that they all followed the same path.

If you use the logic of this life, it is really amazing; if you use the logic of eternal life, it is different. So why do people become like this? Because people do not have eternal life; they only pursue this life. And they are really capable of pursuing this life, and they have really done many great things. Isn't that confusing? So, it is bad for Christians to fall into this logical system. You must be careful of this. It is not that they are falsely capable. If you want to compare abilities in this world, we do not have many who are capable, not many who are wise, and not many who are noble. But God uses us to shame those who are wise because that wisdom belongs to the world.

Whether you are a Christian or not, once your logic is based on the foundation of this life, you will worship these things. But when you study them carefully, you will find that they do not live well. They live like Lamech, neurotic. People become suspicious, like they have phobias, which are mental illnesses. I tell you, mental illness is a very strange disease. Nothing is wrong, but it is very painful.

Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; wives of Lamech, listen to my words: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me. (Genesis 4:23)

Lamech had nothing to do, so he said these words to his wives. Then his wives said, Where did you bury the body? Is the pit deep enough? Don't get caught by the police. Lamech said, I am the police; I am the law! That's probably the situation. Is it hard to live like that? It is hard! Do you think this only happens once? No. First, a strong man appears, and what if another strong man comes tomorrow? After killing someone, the curse is firmly upon his head. He has nothing else to do, so he has nightmares and lives a hard life. He protects what he has gained. He thinks he is very impressive, very capable, and has many tricks.

Brothers and sisters, if we look closely, people who have the spirit of Lamech live a life similar to Lamech, very hard! Don't think they live very happily. Then these people say, To be honest, I am not happy at all. When am I happiest? When I have a few million. Then one of our sisters told me, Teacher, we are the happiest people. I said, How come? Do you have a few million? Actually, it is not the few million that makes people happy, but that people do not make that kind of thing their goal in life.

Be Careful of the Spirit of Lamech (II): Really Did Great Things

What great things have these people done? They raised livestock. The veterinarians raised animals so well. Chicks hatched from eggs can be on the table in a month. They are amazing, really doing great things. They do have some real skills and some secret tricks up their sleeves. The things they raise just grow well. You say, God, didn't you say that you would bless the offspring of our bodies and the offspring of our livestock? The unblessed ones do even better than the blessed ones. Where can you argue? They really did a great thing.

Jubal was the ancestor of all who play the harp and flute. He must have written many songs. Beethoven's First Symphony, Second Symphony, Mozart, etc., they are all very talented people. The ditties he wrote were popular in bars. He wrote a song and it became a hit, and he wrote a tune and it became a hit. Of course, that doesn't work now. Now it's artificial intelligence. Are the people who develop artificial intelligence powerful? Very powerful! I ask you, can believers do better than non-believers? It seems they cannot. This is very interesting. Tubal-Cain made all kinds of bronze and iron tools. They really did some great things. Is that fake? It's not fake.

We must be careful because these things are very deceptive! Can you have eternal life because you have done these great things? What awaits you is still a urn. But the problem is that if people like Lamech and Tubal-Cain do a great thing but deceive themselves and think they are very impressive and forget that they will die one day. What is eternal life? They forget! I ask you, is it difficult to talk about eternal life with those impressive people? Try it; it is very difficult! They look at you like a monster. But the problem is that they deceive themselves. Do they live well? They don't live well.

Many years ago, there was a richest man of our generation. Later, he went to jail. After coming out of jail, he felt that his old skills were still sharp, so he returned to his old business. I thought he was almost going to send himself back in. People think they are very impressive, and they did indeed do some great things. His resume is also very impressive, but he does not have eternal life. I want to pull you back to a point where we must build our foundation on eternal life. If you do not think eternal life is important, you seem to have come to the wrong place. This place is for doing that. These things of this life will eventually vanish!

They are really very capable and have really done many great things. If you let them write stories, they can write many great stories, but there is no eternal life to support them. People live like they have mental illness, living in the fears of Lamech, always having competitors. I tell you, if a person runs a large enterprise, it is actually very scary.

Think about it. Your enterprise doesn't need too many people, just 10,000. How much does it cost to pay salaries to 10,000 people every month? It's not a joke; that's not fun. If you make money, it's okay, but if you don't make money, you still have to pay people, right? Then what do you do? Layoffs? You are not willing to lay off people, thinking that you have invested so much in the past. Do you want to continue investing? Someone said, You committed sins in your past life, so you start a business in this life! Those who have started a business know that it is very painful. Those who have been the richest people know that it is lonely at the top!

Be Careful of the Spirit of Lamech (III): These Things Have Become Their Purpose in Life

Their purpose in life is these things because they are what they do. You can't touch them. If you threaten them, that's not okay! Think about it. If you are a car manufacturer and Lei Jun invites you to participate in his press conference, and your car and his car happen to be in the same category, and he comes to steal your customers, then you have to come up with a plan. If you sell water, like Coca-Cola and Pepsi, they cannot be placed in the same cabinet. Have you noticed abroad that Coca-Cola and Pepsi only have one type of sales cabinet? They cannot be reconciled.

The problem is that these things have become people's purpose in life, and they also say that they have created many jobs and supported many people, and they feel very great. But once people think that these are their purpose in life, their sorrows deepen! If people treat these things as their purpose in life, how can their sorrows not deepen? They will definitely deepen! Once sorrows deepen, how can people live well? They will not live freely; they will be firmly bound by these things!

I hope that our brothers and sisters will no longer weave these great dreams of this life. Some people say, Ah, I want to build a listed company! There is a joke that someone built a listed company. Later, two people sat together chatting, and one asked, Why are you so painful? He said, Alas, you don't know. He said, How can I not know? He said, Because you don't have a listed company. Some people still don't understand what the joke is laughing at. The meaning is that you don't have a listed company, so you don't know how painful it is. I don't know either because I don't have a listed company.

So, these things have become his purpose in life. Brothers and sisters, no matter what industry you are in, these things are not our purpose in life. They are just something we do for joy in our labor! So, think about it. Isn't it easy for people to be fooled by these things? It can be tough, so you must not treat these things as your purpose in life.

Like us who do scientific research, scientific research is not our purpose in life. For those who do design, design is not our purpose in life. What is our purpose in life? This is the vision and mission we just talked about. We want to be a blessing to many people! We do not rely on our own ability, nor do we do great things with our own ability, nor do we bless people with what we do. We rely on the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead to bring people out of the curse. A person relies on the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead and relies on the salvation He accomplished for us, building his life on the foundation of Jesus Christ, and he will lack nothing in his life!

Then why do we live so hard and so tired? So tired, so busy! Recently, I really wanted to release many brothers and sisters from busyness. Why? Because you think that matter is very, very important to you. You can't live without these things. Actually, no, you really let go and you won't collapse. Otherwise, try it. These things cannot become our purpose in life.

Lamech lived for these things. Later, these things were washed away by the flood. The city built by Cain is gone, and the patents of Lamech's family are gone. Even if the patents are still there, the people are gone. It has nothing to do with him. Where is Cao Cao? Where is Liu Bei? Where is Sun Quan? Can't find them! Everyone lines up to see Goujian's sword during the holidays, lining up for three hours just to see a sword. This is the spirit of Lamech. Be careful!

Be Careful of the Spirit of Lamech (IV): Want to Protect One's Life

Think about it. Lamech has to protect what he owns, and he has to protect his life because many people want his life. Think about it. If he is fattened up, won't he be slaughtered? That's called a pig-butchering scam. Now Lamech is very fattened, and he wants to protect himself. Can you protect yourself? You accumulate so many things, how can you protect them? What if bandits come? Then you have to raise an army. But what if the government army comes? Those Kokang Old Street telecom fraud gangs who were very arrogant back then, where are they now? Gone! So what were you arrogant about?

You feel very powerful, very arrogant, but when you can't protect yourself one day, you will know that that stuff is not working. Only God's protection works. This is the way that Abraham opened up for us! Who can harm Abraham? God's angels and heavenly troops camp around him. No one can harm him. People want to preserve their lives but lose them; people are willing to lay down their lives for God and will gain life! Look at how far apart these logical systems are.
