Introduction

Good day to all. Let us examine Hosea, Chapter 5. The overriding theme of this chapter is: Divine judgement shall befall you! While the word judgement does not sound appealing, it is crucial that we fathom its significance. When the scripture says you, is it alluding to us, or is it referring to the Israelites or God's chosen people? Indeed, it is speaking of God’s people, for they have committed adultery, and God’s judgement commences with His very own. The people of God must not be enamoured with the world, for divine judgement is certain to befall those who harbour worldly affections. Does God mete out judgement frequently, both great and small? Indeed, aplenty! Should you doubt this, simply indulge in worldly pursuits or adhere to the world's systems. The moment you err, divine judgement shall be swift and sure! At that juncture, you will find yourself in dire straits, and even fervent prayers may prove ineffectual.

So, what will avail? It is none other than returning to God! We must all repent and turn back to Him! We must recognise that God is a God of judgement, and must refrain from provoking Him repeatedly! Having narrowly escaped death the last time, are you tempted to tempt fate once more? For this final attempt might very well prove to be your undoing, ending your life prematurely. Be that as it may, it hardly makes a difference to God, for generations come and go in His eyes. He is not concerned whether a generation is added or subtracted. God’s judgement shall befall “you”! Who is this you referring to in this context? It points to the Israelites. In our present era, to whom does this you refer? It signifies God’s people within the church.

Divine Judgement Shall Befall the Priests and the Royal House

“Hear this, you priests! Pay attention, you Israelites! Listen, you royal house! This judgement is against you, because you have been a snare at Mizpah, a net spread out on Tabor. (Hosea 5:1)

Upon whom shall God’s judgement descend? The priests, the royalty, and God’s chosen people. If you wield authority, will you oppress the populace? Let me unequivocally state: Even if you are of God’s people, succumbing to worldly logic in your official capacity will inevitably corrupt you into a corrupt official; if you do business you will become a deceitful merchant, and if you are an ordinary citizen you will degenerate into a petty thief. Those who can abuse their power will, and those who can exploit the people will. The sins of such individuals are grievous indeed! Consequently, divine judgement shall befall these transgressors, commencing with the priests of God.

Now you must all aspire to be royal priests, and emphatically not base, ignoble ones. Otherwise, you are in for a rough time. Take heed lest you think: Is there a problem with our church? For we boast perhaps over a hundred thousand congregants! Yet when it comes to sheer numbers, the descendants of the priests and the rest of the Israelites numbered no few either! What does this prove? Absolutely nothing. Life’s path can be exceedingly arduous, and it is impossible to traverse without a heart filled with reverence for God. Why does God proclaim the impending judgement? It is because He desires people to cultivate a fear of God. Yet when sinful urges surge within, all reverence dissipates.

To defy God invites nothing short of one’s demise! Know that not demons but God is the ultimate authority! Cease to believe that you are always in the right, or under the yoke of injustice. We must refrain from narrow minded perception of problems. Realise that one day we will stand to be judged. Without the knowledge of divine judgement, how can we nurture a fear of God? A lack of reverence begets thoughtless words, and when judgement strikes, whence will you seek redress? If judgement has not yet arrived, you still have an opportunity to mend your ways. But once judgement is upon you, the chance is lost. Avoid waiting until judgement descends before admitting your errors, for fervent prayers then will avail thee naught. You plead: O God, heal them. Yet God might retort: It was I who inflicted the illness, and whilst I once extended mercy, they stiffened their necks in defiance.

Before dispensing judgement, has God not repeatedly issued warnings, sounded the trumpet, and blown the horn for all to hear? Will you proceed to test the boundaries? The trumpet has sounded for an extensive period, not merely a year or two but many years. Learn to fear God, knowing that not all apparent gains are truly advantageous. Although your position may allow you to accumulate wealth or profit at the expense of others, God scrutinises the innermost recesses of the hearts of men. He judges them according to their inner thoughts, and His precepts He will surely uphold. He will judge the house of the priest and the king! If you declare, “I am the king, but our Lord Jesus is the King of Kings,” then you shall stand in judgement. For you have embraced worldly affections and are possessed by worldly values!

There are those who desperately seek a position in public service. If you were to ask them why, they might reply, “I aspire to be an official.” Yet while many aspire to officialdom, few seek to genuinely serve the people! What we often hear is: I lack opportunities for corruption at present, but once I ascend the ranks, I shall make use of every advantage! Consequently, with all his cunning and wisdom, he ascends only to be ensnared, exposing his corruption and bribery that leads to his imprisonment at a tender age. Man, fixated upon material gain, fails to ponder the repercussions of acquiring filth. Verily, within him, there is no fear of God! Is it so arduous to trust in Him? Can God not oversee the life of man? Know that to trust in God is the most fortunate thing on earth.

Why does God judge the house of the priest and the king? It is because they seek to minimize effort and maximize gain. Some may object, Who does not share this desire? In truth, only fools believe this to be so. The wise choose to trust in God. If we choose to give continuously, shall we ever be impoverished? Never! Yet some posit, You are not impoverished because you collect tithes. If you harbour such thoughts, refrain from contributing, for the Chinese Mingding Destiny Church exists not to leech off of the populace. It provides wisdom and blesses souls.

If I coveted money, I would incessantly urge contributions. Such a transparent motive would be evident even to stray dogs, how much more so to men! Many of us have come from various other churches, and I surmise that you have witnessed more than I. Yet I believe that winning men is likened to catching fish! I desire not your money, but your souls, to enhance your intrinsic value. That is what I am committed to doing.

God Will Reprove the People of Israel

Divine judgement shall descend upon this world, including even the people of Israel. Indeed it is this way. For whilst the people of Israel are oppressed by priests and officials, they clench their fists in their hearts, vowing: “One day, should I become an official, I shall do likewise.” In time, he genuinely assumes office and establishes a vast real estate empire, adorned with multiple charitably oriented facades, but is corrupt to the bone, such is the essence of man’s iniquity.

Those who clamber up from humble beginnings often possess a deeply rooted wickedness. I do not wish to condemn every member of society, and yet it is evidently so. This cultural ethos permeates every corner of the world. When the people of Israel witness priests, the Israelite kings and officials fleecing the populace, their hearts murmur, O God! I too crave such an opportunity.

Subsequently, it begets countless aspirants to public service, for all desire to be in office. Driven by the world and its enticements, man's heart becomes tainted with evil and the world is filled with violence. Therefore, I implore all of you not to be consumed by the pursuit of wealth. Instead, allow your hears to be converted back to God: all that is meant for you shall be yours, and nothing shall be lacking. Why, then, is the second point aimed at Gods reproof of the people of Israel? Because the collective nation of Israel is infected by the same spirit and cultural values, for they all share these desires.

Zhao Benshan recites a joke about a household with a pig and a donkey. Which should be slaughtered first, the pig or the donkey? Fan Wei suggests, “Slaughter the donkey first.” To which Zhao Benshan replies, “Precisely. The pig would think so too.” While this might provoke discomfort, I sometimes reflect, Are our thoughts akin to those of the pig? Should our thoughts align with that of a pig, woe betide us! In truth, the thoughts of the Israelites were not far removed from that of a pig. For instance, what does a pastor most aspire to witness? He most desires to see every pew within the church filled. This then is to fulfill human consensus, or to fulfil Gods purpose for us? This is challenging. If you scrutinize my scriptural analysis on the web, I would suggest ideas from when I pursued mine.

Trust in God, and building a church requires building it according to Gods own intention. Until now, my requests for church construction have been lowered. Do not presume that lowering requirements will in turn raise attendance. That insults God! Be that pig and donkey may, be that it may: find what it means to think like God. Whatever and whenever I find a pastor I will repeat what I believe is the method of building a church. They respond with dismissal as if I have been silenced out of the gate. To which I reply, How may it not be possible? For my God, all things are possible!

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (Matthew 11:5)

Our Lord Jesus has risen from the dead, and He can resurrect others from the dead. Is anything truly impossible? Does He restore sight to the blind? Does He enable the lame and paralyzed to rise and walk? With God, all things are possible! Yet wherein lies the crux of the matter? In the final injunction of this chapter: Man must return to God! Absent man’s return to God, judgement descendeth from on High! Where the blind exist is a testament to Gods Judgement because we surrender to the lies of sin. Past or present car accidents that leave people crippled is none other than divine judgement! Every calamity is a testament to Gods divine Judgement!

Not long ago an earthquake ravaged the countries. Whence did the earthquake come? One may suppose that it was the doing of demons. Yet what is a demon's real capacity? Earthquakes flow from God! On the internet one may verify with images and truth. There are even those who sleep nude running downstairs as disaster strikes. It is often below zero degrees, and even if one avoids death by quake, one will freeze to death regardless.

Our brothers and sisters must realize that within this era compared to any, God is the ultimate steward! From whence does plague emerge? Do not presume it is an act by demons - what is the message by God permitting plague to sweep society? God wishes for humanity to recognize thy own insignificance! When one assumes pride within, a single virus is enough to fell the grandiose. Neither a PhD or advisory role can combat disease!

Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. A spirit of prostitution is in their heart; they do not acknowledge the LORD. (Hosea 5:4)

Man must return to God! What is Gods rebuke of the Israeli population? Humanity is often filthy with the lack of faith, and lust! The folk who open medicine halls often receive banners from patients, and often it can be inscribed with 'healing hands and lustful heart.' What is the meaning? It emerges out of obstetrics! Take heed in recognising that benevolence of heart and lust is vastly different! Realise that nothing can be hidden from God!

Within Gods Eyes No Intention is Hidden

I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt. (Hosea 5:3)

Let us heed Gods words: I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. One must reject the idea that one could achieve deeds by stealth, even to God Himself. Before God we are transparent, and there is no concealment of intentions within Gods eyes! Whether you are a priest, a director, a king within Israel, or an ordinary folk, no intention is clandestine before God!

One must not believe that the disasters that fall on you are unjust. Yang Bailao also suffered trials, because he was Yang Bailao. If the situation and power reversed, and Yang Bailao became Huang Shiren, Huang Shiren would likely be even more cruel than Huang Shiren!

The most alarming thing would be if one were to be poor for a long period of time and become wealthy suddenly - it would be the height of disaster!Because no intentions are hidden from Gods eyes! When mans ignorance reaches a certain point, he will ask: where is God and what is God? He believes he is God, and that is why corrupt officials amass so much wealth! They believe no one has intentions and that the devil is in charge. But people are similar, and the actions of the flesh must be treated with the holy spirits actions. A material man is filled with lust, and a love for the world and its actions!

A Love Of Worldly Actions Plagues Man

In some books, Kazuo Inamori and Wang Yangming referred to unity of intention and action when they referenced what man believes and acts upon! And corrupt officials have its own rationale that draws in followers who engage in such actions. The world is filled with rationale and the love for it, so in turn God trades the love for the world with the love for God! The love of God attracts rewards and not the pain of judgement! Judgement even in the final days will turn into that of awards!

How worthwhile is it to the very end if one were to follow the logic and systems of the world? Understand and have it in the heart that only you know what is reasonable and reasonable to the world. But it God is how the church is built. If I use the logic and systems of the world, I will be judged. That day I will have no idea.

Judah’s leaders are like those who move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water. (Hosea 5:10)

If a person is filled with mundane material systems, it would be all for naught! Take for example a man who sneaks up at a boundary stone because it belonged to an orphan child mother - who can twist their arm?

The mother child notices tattoos that strike fear with the blue dragons, white tigers, and the eels. What should the child do? If you have met this person, do you dare provoke him. Let us think, why should he move boundaries? He thinks that it is good that land of his is also his. The pig would think that as well. Understand that material system well used in the word could be used to drive the economy!

And the pots of rice are not edible since people are not working! Yet now if the labour is returned you would not return that. Using selfishness in the world can drive it - and if you grasp this, people would fix!But we can't operate as such as we have in our system to give.

They have been unfaithful to the LORD; they have borne illegitimate children. Now their New Moon festivals will devour them and their fields. (Hosea 5:7)

Ephraim is oppressed, trampled in judgement, intent on pursuing idols. (Hosea 5:11)

Israel and Ephraim turned worldly and are being seized. So man is unknowing! Do we please the members by building a church? Rather it is listening to the word of God! Ephraim is oppressed to hearing the commandments of humans. It is always in the wrong to align with the ideas of others!

In our church, do not label me with various tags. I do not accept that! But regarding listening to God's words, that is for sure! If you say, Pastor, what you said is wrong! God's words say this. Then I will listen to you! Because that is listening to God! If you say, Pastor, you should be a pastor this way. I would think: Isn't this the person I ministered to a few days ago who wanted to jump off the building? How come they are now teaching me how to be a pastor?

I said, Then tell me, how should a pastor be? Actually, he is nothing, just hearsay! I said, How did you know? He said, I read a book that said so. I asked him, Does this book say it right? He said, I don't know if it's right. I said, If you don't know, what are you doing here lecturing me? What exactly is in our heads?

A brother bought a bag of glutinous rice strips, which were a bit curved. Each segment was about two to three inches long, and the thickness was just right. What did it look like? It really looked like human excrement. If someone's head is full of glutinous rice strips, that's enough to suffer! So what exactly is in your head? Therefore, people like to rely on power and talent. This is all strongman logic! All culture is about the love of the world and the things in the world. People are full of this stuff! In Jesus' time, the Pharisees also liked these things. They liked high positions and did not like to serve! So later I learned a lot of lessons from this, and I hope everyone can follow me on this road of service. If you obey people's meaning, you cannot serve!

Some time ago, a child had a fever for more than two weeks. No one could deal with it, nor could they possibly deal with it, because if you obey people's meaning, how can you deal with it? As a result, they couldn't handle this child, so I took over. This child was very willful! Can you control willfulness? The brat dared to act willful with me! I'll give you more than you can handle. After I disciplined him, the child's problem of willfulness was solved, and the fever was gone! I was worried that the child would get a fever again, so I called the next day to ask. I learned that he had not had a fever since then. Because the willfulness was eliminated by me! Why should willfulness be eliminated? Because once a person is willful, there is no difference between them and pigs, donkeys, and cattle. Wouldn't that be stupid? So do you choose to be a pig or a donkey? Neither is good!

Through this matter, I have to teach everyone a lesson. How did you serve these people in the past? Because the things inside were wrong! We must know that we cannot serve according to people's meaning. Is it not Satan to be considerate of people's meaning? Loving the world and the things in the world, the love of the world is in people. No matter how high an official you are, no matter how rich you are, when you come to me, I just want to bless you! I don't want a penny from you, so of course there is no pressure to serve. Eliminate the willfulness that should be eliminated, and fix what should be fixed! If you want me to serve you, I will tell you the truth. If you don't want me to serve you, I will stay as far away as possible. If you don't invite me, I won't care, unless the fever comes back, just keep tossing back and forth like this!

Pride and Falling

I was thinking: So many people love the world. As an observer, what can you observe? One thing is quite interesting, that is, people who love the world can still achieve some extraordinary things! A song has lyrics like this: I love you, love you, love you without end. Where did the love go? It went to the company being listed on the stock market! You might say, They love the world, even to the point of getting the company listed. Their company is so amazing, making so much money! They've cheated all the shareholders! Can loving the world achieve extraordinary things? Do you believe it? Can it be achieved? Yes!

His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes. Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain’s sister was Naamah. (Genesis 4:21-22)

This Cain and Cain's descendants, they were pipers and ironsmiths, and they all became the founders of various industries! Aren't they amazing? Can't they achieve extraordinary things? And those who do violence, aren't they skilled in martial arts? Yes! Do you want to do it? If you want to do it, then go ahead! But doing so will cause problems, because people don't understand these things. One day, falling is inevitable, do you believe it?

Do those who love the world and achieve extraordinary things have a good life? Some are like Cain, some are like Lamech, just mentally ill! Some people are arrogant, always thinking they are amazing! Once they encounter difficulties, they feel like the sky is falling. Such a life is not good! Then they feel that everyone wants to harm them, everyone wants to steal their property, everyone wants to take advantage of them. Their hearts are very twisted because they belong to the world!

There is a saying in history: The only thing we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history. Some attribute this quote to Hegel, but it is not clear whether Hegel actually said it. Ask yourself: Why do we get mental illness and cancer? Why do we achieve extraordinary things and then make ourselves miserable? I don't know, and I've never really understood, but even now, there are still thousands of troops rushing straight down that path!

Is that road of loving the world that good? Why do I feel it's not as good as the road of loving God? How good is the road of loving God! Loving the world brings pride, because what he does, he will think is his own achievement, and he will think he is amazing! Later, someone's body suddenly collapsed. When the stock market was booming, he also rode a horse and made a lot of money, and then he felt he had found the secret. As a result, his investment suffered continuous huge losses, and suddenly he felt that this secret was no longer working!

Know that there is a very wonderful law in this world: what you think works is not actually what works, but what you think works. Once it stops working, you're dumbfounded. Isn't this pride? When a person is proud, they fall, and when they fall, they're done! You can't sleep well, and you can't eat. Isn't this doing something very stupid?

After a person loves the world, once they are proud, they fall and they are done! The Israelites, the Jews, and the current church have many similarities, that is, they achieve an extraordinary thing and then fall! We see a lot of these stories in the news about officials! Israel, Judah, and the current church are no different. In the end, they all become one tragedy after another, which is worth learning from.

There is a very wonderful law in this world, that is, loving the world can achieve some extraordinary things that make you proud, and finally make you fall! That is such a simple principle, so why do you still do it? If you ask me, Why not do it this way? Don't you have a dream? I will tell you: I just don't want to do it this way! I have a dream, but my dream is to do something real.

The people and officials of Judah and Israel are all part of a strongman logic system that loves real money and silver and plunders the people's wealth. That is all a logic system that makes people proud and fall, that is a road to destruction! Now I have told you, after listening, do you still want to take this road? As long as we love God well in this world, we will not be disturbed by the things of this world, nor will we be taken away by the things of this world!

Everyone may find it difficult to understand why God uses the word sexual immorality to describe it. In fact, the word sexual immorality is particularly unpleasant to say, because it will produce passion, and this passion sometimes makes people unable to extricate themselves, so once a person is sexually immoral, he will not only be confused inside, but also have a strange feeling! I have seen this. Sexual immorality is a bit like love, but this love is that he loves someone he shouldn't love!

When I first started building the church, I ministered to a girl who fell in love with a boy. She loved him so much! Later, this girl went crazy. After she entered the mental hospital, it took me a lot of effort to drive the demons out of her, because her whole heart was hollowed out and sucked away. It was very difficult to deal with! Know that sexual immorality is a spiritual matter!

Once people love the world and get caught up in it, they can't get out of it, that is, when people have money, they still want money to make money! You ask him, What do you want that money for? In fact, he can't explain it clearly, but he is caught up in that trap, that passion is in people's hearts, people can't control themselves! Know that the feeling produced by sexual immorality is not very controllable, and these uncontrollable things are quite powerful! So when that strong feeling comes, you can't control it! If you are a girl, you have to find a boy to sleep with. Know that although there is passion in sexual immorality, it is still sexual immorality; although there are some things in sexual immorality that it can achieve, it is still sexual immorality; although sexual immorality can give birth to children, what is born is a hybrid, a descendant of sexual immorality. God will judge such things!

Can we make up our minds and say before God: God! We will be your faithful priests! We no longer love the world, because loving the world is like a pig. There is nothing to love in this world! Because in Jesus Christ, we lack no good things in the love of God! What good does it do us to suffer God's judgment because we love the world? No good!

You Can't Find God by Leading a Cow or a Sheep

Then they will go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, but they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them. (Hosea 5:6)

Our God is not a God who loves cows and sheep, our God is a God who examines people's hearts! But we think that we can find God by taking a few cows and a few sheep. I think you can find ghosts! So prayer can't solve the problem either. Don't believe in prayer, believe that our hearts are cleansed by the Spirit of God; believe that we are loyal to God in our hearts; believe that we have a heart that loves God and has passion for God! Be mad for the sake of loving God! Why love the world with passion? Then, leading a cow and a sheep, say: I will worship my God Jehovah! You should go find your golden calf! This kind of religious behavior cannot solve the problem of God's judgment.

God examines people's hearts, God will judge people according to what is in their hearts! So religious behavior is not an act of faith, it is disbelief in people's hearts, nor can it be a performance on the outside. For example, some people say: Look, I have taken a cow and a sheep! God! What else do you want me to do? Know that what God wants is your cleansed heart, so cleanse your heart first!

Judgment Comes from God

If people's hearts are full of these things, God will definitely judge! Know that judgment comes from God. Why are there these things? Someone asked: Teacher, just pray for me and it will be over, why so much nonsense! I said: I don't have nonsense! If I don't tell you how dirty your brain is, can I help you? Even if I pray for you, it won't work, and the more you pray, the worse the illness will be! People's self-righteous things and that evil energy in their bones are all running according to the logic system of the world. Can this be good? If God wants to judge you, I say: God! Please heal him. God says: Heal what? His illness is what I gave him. What do you say I should do?

Many times even when I lead everyone in prayer, I feel extremely sad in my heart. What is sad? As soon as I pray, God says: This illness is what I gave him, I made him sick! He has become so muddled, if I don't give him some illness, will he know to repent? What are you praying for? Do you want to oppose me? Then you come and heal him? After I finished listening, I said: God! I can't fix this! So there is only one thing to do, and that is to tell God's judgment to His people! Hosea wants to tell God's judgment to the people of Israel. In fact, there are already signs of God's judgment one after another, but people just turn a blind eye! Ask yourself, which of our problems is not a judgment from God? Do you think it is from the devil? That devil was also sent by God!

Sound the trumpet in Gibeah, the horn in Ramah; raise the battle cry in Beth Aven; after you, Benjamin! (Hosea 5:8)

No matter how the prophets shout, the Israelites all say: Is there such a thing? It shouldn't be! They might even beat up this Hosea! Isn't this because many prophets who came in the Bible were beaten? Even when Jesus came, they killed Him! Darkness cannot bear the light. As soon as the light shines, the filth in people's hearts is revealed! What exactly is in us? Examine carefully, what are we thinking inside? Don't tell me: Teacher, why didn't you tell me earlier? I will ask you: How many times do you want me to tell you?

I am like a moth to Ephraim, like rot to the people of Judah. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his infection, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to the great king. But he is not able to cure you, not able to heal your infection. For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry off my prey, with no one to rescue it. Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me. (Hosea 5:12-15)

Judgment comes from God. This sentence must be deeply remembered in your heart. Remember that it is not from the devil. If you ask: Is there any relationship with the curse of ancestors? The curse of ancestors also comes from God! A silly boy came to me and said: The curse does not come from God! I said: Then does the curse come from you? You are so powerful, do you have the ability to curse? I think this thing is very evil. If the curse does not come from God and the judgment does not come from God, where does it come from? The disease is not given to you by God, who gave it to you? Why can the devil do corrupting work in you? Isn't it because of yourself?

Until You Admit Your Guilt and Seek God's Face

God has opened up a way for us, that is, God will return to His place and wait for us to admit our guilt and seek God's face, so that we can earnestly seek Him in times of trouble! Especially cancer patients should wake up a little! How evil have we become, and still feel that we are good? Start seeking God and be a wise man. In Jesus Christ, we lack no good things!

Some people always want to do less work and get more benefits. For example, a person goes to work in a company, doesn't grow well and doesn't study well, just wants to get more salary, and as a result, the job is messed up. His pastor told me: I tell him all day long how to study, how to grow steadily, and how to continuously create value for the company. He said: That's not okay! As a result, he just plays tricks all day long! Wasn't it God who made you lose your job? He said: Pray for me. What's the use of prayer? When I pray for you, I will say: God! Discipline him heavily again!

People's hearts must be cleansed! You don't know how much pastors desire that everyone can walk on the path of blessing! Sometimes they desire it to a certain extent, they will say: God! He is still so stubborn and self-righteous, give him another stick! Otherwise, people will not wake up! If you understand Hosea's heart, you must deal with yourself little by little. If you don't deal with yourself, God will deal with you. That is God's judgment! If you still feel that you are pretty good, do you think you are pretty good?
