Introduction
Good day to all! I am very pleased to meet everyone online again. The topic I will be speaking on is Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Skill in All Kinds of Work. I imagine that upon hearing this title, many will immediately raise a question: I lack wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, nor am I skilled in any kind of work, starting off with a negative view. Actually, this message is precisely for you. The question is, do you want to be a person of wisdom?
Perhaps you'll say, I do! But I am inherently lacking in wisdom. I ask you, Do you want to have understanding? You will surely say, I do! But... Your but drives me to despair. Many often say, But I am naturally a person without understanding! I say, Do you want to have knowledge? I do! But I am naturally a person without knowledge. When have you ever seen a child born literate? No, it's all learned later.
In fact, over these past years, the word natural has often led me to despair. I ponder whether some things are truly innate. If everything is natural, then there is nothing for us to do. There's a saying: Like begets like; a mouse's child knows how to burrow. Mentioning natural leads people to despair, and I often struggle in this despair.
If the person being ministered to is destined to have cancer (Mingding Destiny), then what is the point of ministering to them? If someone is naturally unintelligent, how can you minister to them? I wrestled with the word natural, climbing out of despair again and again, removing the lies within me. If people were born a certain way, would there be a need for learning? This topic is as old as the question of which came first, the chicken or the egg. You need to understand whether people are truly born a certain way—this is an age-old question.
I was not born Paul; I was not born Jesus; I was born this useless thing. I have to deal with these situations often in ministry. For this reason, I have studied deeply and conducted many years of experiments. Through research and experiments have proven that it is not like that at all; it is not innate.
Many years ago, a girl came among us and also became a Christian; later, I called her sister. She was born in the countryside, and her studies were not remarkable; she did not attend university. Among her circle of friends were many like her, whose options were either to get into university, leave their village and find a job after graduating, and make a life for themselves. If they did not get into university, there was no way out.
Many of her friends were mistresses. Speaking of mistresses, people find it unpleasant. But when people have no way out, their parents still need to be supported. Many problems need to be solved. As a result, they became mistresses, had children, and lived off the child's father. You should know that life is not easy! In fact, who doesn't want to live with dignity and respect?
She was very distressed in her heart. From the first day she came to church, I never looked down on her. I saw her as a very dignified person. Everyone is very dignified. Among us, there may be some who look down on this person or that person upon seeing them. You know what kind of person you are in your heart. You look down on many people, but I think everyone is dignified. I don't think people are born to be a certain way.
After this sister came to the church, I began to train her, sometimes scolding and training her harshly, but she was not hurt by this training. She began to practice running a Taobao shop, learning e-commerce diligently. As a result, she became quite skilled and managed to run the Taobao shop well. Her child's father, a businessman, began to think: Wow, she's quite dignified! Not bad! He then invited her back to the factory to help manage the Taobao shop.
The Power of Perseverance and Learning
In the days that followed, after round after round of training, and recently learning to code, she wrote in her report:
At first, the problems encountered in the beginner courses were all different. My first thought was to seek help from the teacher, but when the teacher didn't reply in time, I thought: I can't wait passively. I followed the teacher's video instructions, typed on the website, and started all over, making it seem like the course. Later, following the teacher's instructions to learn HTML, I discovered that my folder was incorrect. I couldn't get it to look like the teacher's no matter what I did because the notes were different. The display in the browser was also different.
Later, I thought I might as well uninstall VSCode. When I reopened it, it was still the same as before. What should I do? My mind started to go blank. I wanted to find the teacher, but I decided to figure it out myself. I searched on Baidu, messed around, and finally fixed it. I finally breathed a sigh of relief. I started learning from the first lesson again, but the images still wouldn't display. Later, I didn't dare to be careless. I saved the images to the image folder, and only then did they start to display. It took me four or five hours to figure these things out.
Later, I discovered that when entering the folder for the second lesson, I couldn't get to the bottom; it was still on the first line. I wasn't as confused as before. Following the teacher's demonstration, I changed the second line to the same Arabic numeral 2 as the teacher, and it immediately jumped automatically. I breathed another sigh of relief. In the end, it took me nine hours to learn the second lesson. I had the thought of putting it down and dealing with it tomorrow, but I don't know where I got the courage. I wouldn't be able to sleep unless I figured it out.
I persevered like this, and in the end, the HTML file for the second lesson, with such a long code, seemed to be messed up. I didn't know how to take a step back, so I thought of the simplest way: to redo everything slowly. I followed the teacher, copying and pasting, and discovered a pattern: when you copy the code incorrectly, the letters below will show it.
Through this learning experience, I understood that when encountering problems, don't be anxious, and solve them one by one. With programming, if you make a mistake somewhere, it's useless to proceed. You still need to be careful. After I finished, I still encountered new problems, but I solved all the problems I encountered, and I was very happy.
Her testimony was quite long. Later, she lived a very dignified life because of learning. When she mentioned me later, she was always grateful and tearful. If it weren't for my training her in this way, step by step, what would her life have been like? People are not born to be a certain way. People only need to do one thing:
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)
Now, the question is, what kind of person do you want to be? Do you want to be a person of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in all kinds of work? If you do, I tell you, stop believing in the word natural. Our church has never believed in the word natural. By nature, we are all going to die, but today, through the Lord Jesus, we have all come alive, haven't we? What's the use of being natural? Except for causing despair, it doesn't do much good.
Some time ago, we ministered to a person in their twenties who didn't study hard in school, weighed 300 pounds and could eat more than anyone else. Even after losing weight, they still weighed over 200 pounds. As a result, they were constantly pushed forward again and again. In the end, they also got a driver's license. I am encouraging everyone to stop believing in the word natural. What should we believe in? Believe that I am a person of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in all kinds of work. Belief is important.
Testimonies of Faith and Growth
You know, I once ministered to a student whose studies were very poor. Later, their grades improved, and they even became my colleague, pastoring many people. They used to dislike doing handicrafts. When renovation was mentioned, they blurted out, I hate renovation! Now, they do it themselves, making one thing after another, making things more and more beautiful. This experiment has pulled me out of despair.
Some things are indeed natural, but that is not the key. Because I am confident that, through the power of God, everyone can grow. That is why I minister, no matter how humble you are, I still minister to you as if I were ministering to God. No matter how old you are, no matter how bad you were in the past, as long as you have a heart to pursue, nothing is impossible with God.
God is wisdom, understanding, and knowledge; God is the God who cares for you; God is the one who enables you to do all kinds of work. Are you encouraged hearing this? Can you give me a response, type Amen! Isn't it right? Say to yourself, Yes! I am going to be this kind of person! This is not a placebo; this is what I have proven through many years of hard work and experimentation. I have completely overturned the notion of being natural.
There are only two paths before me, and I must choose well. How to choose? Choose to believe in God or choose not to believe in God. There are two paths before us. If you choose to believe in God, you will calm down and put in effort. Today, in the example I just gave, the report she wrote, she spent four hours, five hours, nine hours learning to code. Now her children are in middle school, and their studies are not bad.
So today, brothers and sisters, there are two paths before us: either learn or continue to be a loser. Some people never learn in their lives? They only do the gossiping things like old women. They learn a lot of skills that make them uncomfortable, a lot of skills that make them frown. It’s hard! When the husband comes home and sees that face, oh! The husband's face also darkens, doesn't it? How can a person without knowledge enjoy labor? How can they rejoice in labor?
So today, you must know that God is looking for those who seek Him, God is looking for those who thirst for Him, and looking for those who trust Him. Yes, we were originally not good, but if you become someone who pleases God, nothing is a problem. Building God's temple and building God's church is not just my business; it is the business of each and every one of us. Shouldn't everyone become knowledgeable, wise, intelligent, and capable of doing all kinds of work?
Everyone should know that this sentence is from the Bible! I copied it verbatim to use as my title. In a moment, I will read that passage to you. Brothers and sisters, do you know? God is looking for people to build the church, not a group of people who shout hallelujah loudly, but a group who prepare themselves to be able to do all kinds of skillful work. The person I am talking about today is Bezalel, Oholiab.
Let's open the Bible today. Actually, many churches only preach for twenty minutes. According to the general length, I am basically done now, but I have just begun! Don't think I'm finished; I'm just starting.
Scripture
id="h2-god2623393Bscall20and20equipment">God's Call and Equipment
Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you. (Exodus 31:1-6)
Prayer
Let us pray together, longing to become a person with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in all kinds of work. Do you understand clearly? Today, step out of the bad habit of gossiping about this and that, and cultivate the habit of becoming a person of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skillful in all kinds of crafts.
God, may your word encourage us! May your word become our strength! God, I will learn to trust you! Today, I will get rid of the bad habits within me! Today, let you become my strength! Let us go the extra mile! God, deal with the bad habits on my body, deal with the laziness on my body, and make me a person who can do all kinds of work! Make me someone who pleases you! Make me someone full of the image of Jesus Christ! In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!
Building God's Tabernacle
This is the Old Testament passage. Now, let's talk about the fourth point: the background of the scripture. What is the background of this passage? It is when Moses led the Israelites through all kinds of difficulties out of Egypt. What do they need to do after leaving Egypt? To become God's mighty army. What does this mighty army need most? It is God's tabernacle.
This tabernacle is what God showed Moses on the mountain that he should do this and that, which is written in great detail in Exodus. What kind of thread, what kind of color, what kind of sealskin, purple thread. At that time, Moses was a little dazed. Moses said, We have never done this before! But God told Moses:
“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze. (Exodus 31:2-4)
Do you understand clearly? To build the church, God needs people who can do skillful work. Was Moses a knowledgeable person? He was a knowledgeable person. Because he should understand what God showed him on the mountain that he should build this way and that way. If you have no knowledge, you cannot listen at all.
So brothers and sisters, this place puts forward a very serious question: Building God's tabernacle is the place to worship God, to offer sacrifices and offerings to God. So building the tabernacle is the most important place for the Lord's army. Without God's temple, without God's tabernacle, without God's presence, what battle can we fight? What's the point of fighting? There is no need to do anything, but building the church, building the tabernacle, and building the temple are the same. They also require all kinds of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and the ability to do all kinds of work.
Building the church is a building work. As a result, God called him by the name of Bezalel, and later prepared a helper for him named Oholiab, and then arranged all kinds of people with similar skills to build the temple together. Do you understand clearly?
Seekers Who Please God
This passage presents us with something that is worthy of reflection. Was Bezalel usually lazy and suddenly filled with the Spirit of God, so he could do all kinds of skillful work? Or did he usually do it? Today, I tell you, he usually loved doing it! This question is similar to what I shared today. Today I want to tell you what kind of person Bezalel was, why God chose him to build God's tabernacle, and his name is clearly recorded in Exodus:
“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. (Exodus 31:2)
Now the question arises again, as soon as I mention this, someone will say: Oh, I am not Bezalel! As soon as I mention Paul, someone will say: Oh, I am not Paul! As soon as I mention Jesus, someone will say: Oh, I am not Jesus! This is very common, right? Whether you are or not is not important, the key is that they are all people who please God. The people recorded in the Bible are to let us know that these are all people who please God, the question is whether we want to learn from them! Do you want to be a smart person? That's how smart people do it.
Regardless of whether we were born Bezalel, regardless of whether we are Paul, Joseph, Jacob, Isaac, or Abraham, I want to be this kind of person, this is a smart person. The background of this passage gives us a hint, and also a clear indication that this is the kind of person God likes, the question is whether you want to be this kind of person. If you want to be this kind of person, then you have to listen carefully to my sharing, it is for you; if you don't want to be this kind of person, you just like to be an old woman, then you hang up, there is no need to listen, it is useless to talk about it!
What Kind of Person Was Bezalel
I guess many people like to be touched by an angel's hand and become another person. This is a myth of many lazy Christians. Lazy Christians like this. So what kind of person was Bezalel? Was it that one day God had a whim: Bezalel! I tell you, it's not like that, why it's not like that.
I have basically studied all the characters in the Bible one by one, and I can give you many examples. Do you remember when I talked about Abraham? Abraham was not that God suddenly came up with an idea: There is a person named Abram, I want to make you a great nation. Not like that! You must know that this Abraham seeks every day! Why seek, because he feels that living is not very interesting.
Among us, there are many who feel like Teacher Liu that living is meaningless since childhood. However, as soon as his money is touched, as soon as his core interests are touched, he is no longer like Teacher Liu, he is no longer like Abraham. He used to think that he saw through it.
In fact, he just said it with his mouth. A two-cent teapot is just a good mouth.
Bezalel is a seeker, everyone should know that in the Bible, for example: Jacob, Joseph, Isaac, David, Samuel, etc., all those who please God are all such people, all seekers. So in the New Testament there is a paragraph that is particularly interesting:
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:8)
The Combination of Diligence and Wisdom
Did Bezalel, who loved to do handicrafts, encounter difficulties? Absolutely! Did it take time? Definitely! Bezalel was like Lu Ban in China. A craftsman must be able to create tools. How else could he accomplish the work? Do you understand? So, it wasn't that God suddenly thought of Bezalel and then tapped him on the head, making him wise, knowledgeable, and skillful in all kinds of work. No!
Bezalel often faced difficulties and sought God. He was a man who sought and relied on God early on. Bezalel was always a diligent learner, able to do all kinds of work after learning. It wasn't that God only knew him on that particular day, but because Bezalel constantly sought and experienced God's help in his life. Only with such a character would God choose him to build the tabernacle. What an honor, isn't it?
Thinking of Bezalel, I tell you, I am a bit like him. Speaking of Jacob, I tell you, I am a bit like him. Speaking of Joseph, I am a bit like him. The core character is the same. Brothers and sisters, you must know that to build a church, you really need a bit of Bezalel's character!
If we line up Bezalel, Moses, the Apostle Paul, Jesus Christ, and the Old Testament figures like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, you must have their inherent character to be like them. Character is also learned. That’s what Bezalel was like.
You must know that the Bible tells us about many figures, not for us to just complain. I am not Jesus, nor Paul, nor Bezalel, nor Aholiab. Who are you? What kind of person do you want to be? Bezalel also encountered difficulties; how could he not?
Brothers and sisters, you must know that Bezalel was a very diligent person. He loved to work, liked to enjoy being at work, and liked to enjoy doing all kinds of work. I tell you, I can feel what kind of person Bezalel was. Don't you know that people all want to enjoy the fruits of their labor?
Do you know how to enjoy the work of your labor? Today I tell you, whether it's doing renovation, carpentry, or IT, I enjoy it very much. Every time I solve a problem with a clever method, I make a very common gesture, clenching my fist in front, bending my arm, hammering down, and then Yeah! I enjoy it very much.
Why? Because the work is done so beautifully! I give myself a thumbs up. After doing another beautiful job, Yeah! That's a great enjoyment. If a person often doesn't have, doesn't have a few Yeahs in their life, I tell you, life is not very meaningful!
When do they say Yeah? When playing cards, they happen to draw that card! But what kind of work can that do? That can't do all kinds of work. That's not called intelligence or wisdom. Of course, if you play cards to become a world champion, it can be considered a kind of profession, but ordinary people are just messing around.
Today I tell you, Bezalel was such a person. Do you want to be such a person? Often, because of the work of your hands, a feeling of excitement arises. Finally overcoming the problem, finally learning this thing, I tell you, you will definitely enjoy your work. Then God will surely call you by name and choose you to build His tabernacle, to build His victorious church. People must be builders.
Building God's Church Requires Doers
I didn't understand it before, but now I finally understand. Now these have become very clear. I said to build God's church, God, what kind of people do you need? I once thought that building God's church required kneeling there and constantly praying, constantly praying, until the knees were calloused. Besides shouting Hallelujah, and Lord, Lord, they couldn't do anything else.
I thought He needed such people, and I used to have a misconception that I admired such people. Later I found out it wasn't so. Even the Apostle Peter, recorded in the Bible, was focused on prayer and preaching, but the church he built wasn't built very well. But what about the Apostle Paul? He made tents, sold tents, did all kinds of work, fed himself with his own hands, and also fed many of his co-workers. Many of his co-workers were supported by him.
God needs people who can do skillful work. You know, over the past few years, I have solved many technical problems. It's really not boasting; I am an engineer. Building God's temple and building God's church really needs engineers.
We have a sister among us whose original church was preparing to hire a Chinese-speaking pastor. As a result, they wrote a questionnaire and asked the church members. You might find it funny among us. They think this is a great initiative, and then ask brothers and sisters: Can you tell us what kind of pastor you want?
You ask the members about this? You should ask God! So, if you can't figure it out today, building God's temple requires finding someone who pleases God. Building God's temple, building God's church requires pleasing God. God needs people with wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge who can do all kinds of work. If they can't do any work, but only shout Hallelujah loudly and professionally, can that build a church? No, it can't build a church.
So brothers and sisters must begin to know that building God's temple requires such people. If we brothers and sisters build God's temple together, I think I must train everyone to be able to do all kinds of work. If you are a housewife, can you cook a good meal at home, can you manage your home well? Besides managing your home well, can you do something else to increase your family's financial income? How much work is there at home? Can you do all kinds of work, and also teach your children to do all kinds of skillful work?
If building a church requires doing all kinds of work, training people from a state where they can't do anything. Of course, some brothers and sisters come and can do it, that's great; you are Bezalel. Lazy people are quite hateful. How can they learn to do all kinds of work? How can they have all kinds of skillful work?
There was a sister who got married, had children, and lived in a house like a small shed. You say, what era is this, living in a small shed? I think the place where I lived in my childhood was better than her. Later, when she came among us, she was full of religious flavor. At first, if you weren't careful, you would think she loved the Lord very much, but later you found out that she couldn't do anything, so she was trained to do this and that, including typing on a computer and learning Excel.
Later, she really found a job. She didn't do any work before, just relied on her husband to support her and raise a few children, living a very poor life. Later, she found a job with a salary of ten thousand yuan, seven or eight thousand, isn't that good? As a result, she wasn't taken care of for a year and a half, and stopped there, not growing anymore. After learning those things, it's like a spring. If you bend it, it's like this, but if you let go, it becomes the original shape again. I ask you, how can such a person build a church? It's difficult.
So brothers and sisters, I want to remove this laziness among us in any case and then train everyone to be people who do all kinds of work. Yes, if after the training, you say, I want to leave, I want to build my own church. OK, I bless you. That's still better than someone who can't do anything. This is the sixth point: God needs people who can do skillful work to build the church.
I encourage everyone to start learning to do all kinds of work. Why do we have so much training? It's to train everyone to be a learner, to train everyone to grow, to enjoy the results of their labor, and to truly become a builder. If you are a builder, a creator, how can you be poor?
Be a Builder, Be a Creator
Can a lazy person do it? A lazy person can't do it. Be a builder, be a creator. You know, the entire concept of salvation in our church, I have changed it. In the past, the concept of salvation was to go to heaven after death. Now, the concept of salvation is to live out the image of God while alive. Our God is not the God of the dead, but to live out the image of Jesus Christ while alive. When Jesus was on earth, didn't He train His disciples to do what He did?
Every time you become a builder, you will encounter all kinds of problems and difficulties. If you are a creator, you will encounter all kinds of difficulties, like emptiness and chaos. So brothers and sisters, if people want to be a builder, want to be a creator, there is no way but to rely on the wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge that God gives you. So a person who truly trusts in God is not just saying they trust, when I become a builder, a creator, I will seek wisdom from God. If you really do it, you will never be poor.
In the past few years, I have invested a lot of energy in software development. Up to now, I can boast that in the past ten days, I made a courseware, we developed an enterprise-level software development framework, this framework can greatly improve the efficiency of software development. Every night at twelve o'clock, I start doing training, doing courseware while doing training, I enjoy it very much. I tell you, it's not that I enjoy making this thing, it's because when you make this thing, you will find God's wonderful supply.
So how does God supply miraculously? There are many ingenious things, the structure and design inside are very ingenious, including our multi-star, they are all very ingenious things. Where did they come from? They came from our seeking. We want to build God's glorious church, and God gives us wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge to do all kinds of work. I think such technology is still of great value. This is the sixth point: building God's temple, the church of God, needs people who can do skillful work.
The Need to Avoid Perfectionism
Brothers and sisters, do you think building God's temple is with perfectionism? If it can be built well with perfectionism, that would be troublesome. Building God's temple is indeed to be built according to God's word, that is what Bezalel is building. You find someone who doesn't have Bezalel's ability, and then wants to do the work that Bezalel can do, they can't do it even if you beat them to death, no matter how much they pursue perfection, they can't be perfect. First of all, you have to be someone who can do such a thing.
I tell you, Bezalel is definitely not dawdling there. If he makes one that I can't stand, and then makes another that I can't stand, how much material would that waste? Do you know how Bezalel grew up? He usually trains himself, trains himself until he can be used by God at this time. He is definitely not the kind of person who can do something he doesn't like, and can't do something he likes.
**The kind of person who can do something he doesn't like, and can't do something he likes, I call that perfectionism.**After finishing it, he feels uncomfortable and can't stand it, and then does another one, and still can't stand it, then when will you be able to stand it? We call it perfectionism, but it's a bad habit.
How did Bezalel grow up? Makes one that's not very good, but realistically makes another one, and it's still not very good. There's a problem here, it's okay, we'll change it, there's a problem there, we'll change it. Today, whether it's the enterprise-level framework we're talking about, or the development of various programs, including our decoration, we do what we can do, but after we finish it, we carefully reflect on where the problems are, and then when we do the next one, we avoid these problems, and overcome the problem of perfectionism. I have solved quite a few.
Do you know that we have a Korean ministry? We really want to bless Koreans. Our Chinese language ministry has dozens of people, our English language ministry has many people, our Cantonese language ministry has many people. The Korean language ministry has only one person. How can this one person do it?
Last Sunday, after I finished preaching, the text came out at five o'clock in the evening, and the Korean recording also came out. It's not like translating from Chinese to Cantonese, because they are both Chinese languages, but it's translating from Chinese to Korean, and Chinese and Korean are very different. How did he get here? I constantly dealt with his bad habit: he can do what he doesn't like, and he can't do what he likes, and he dawdles when doing things. I put a lot of effort into changing this bad habit.
I said, We don't care about this. He said, What if Koreans can't understand? I said, I don't care if Koreans can understand or not, I care about you making things that are constantly improving. I even said, Even if I preach for an hour, it's okay if you can record half an hour of Korean. He said, Can this work? I said, Yes, it can.
As a result, after he became very free, he grew rapidly, recording one after another, and improving very quickly. Moreover, many Koreans saw what he did and thought that a foreigner, a non-native Korean, was able to make this thing like this, which is also quite amazing. He moved forward step by step. Many articles on the Korean website were written and recorded by him word by word, sentence by sentence. When he went back to look at what he had done in the past few years, he found that he had made great progress. How did it come about? He avoided the bad habit of perfectionism.
If you have the bad habit of perfectionism, you must start to deal with it. If you don't deal with it, you have no way to build, no way to move forward. The things you do are not for Koreans, but for your own growth.
Brothers and sisters must know that I let you participate in the text ministry, not because the text you produce is what I value, but because I hope you can grow. As long as you grow, you can easily finish it, and then what you do is like the temple and tabernacle built by Bezalel. You are the most important thing. Each of us brothers and sisters is a brick, a tile, a gem for building the temple. So start to deal with it.
Character and Faith are Key
If you look carefully, those who have achieved and can do things like Bezalel are all people with character and faith. This faith is faith in God, especially in building God's temple. Character and faith are key. I let you do these things to shape your character. I really don't care about that text or that recording, I care about you dealing with the bad habits on your body and building up your faith and character, and then becoming a person with very high output.
Steadfast, Step by Step
If a person's output is very high, what does that mean? He is very skilled. Where does skill come from? It starts with personality. Brothers and sisters, if you have children in your home, you need to cultivate their personality. Secondly, you need to cultivate their faith in God. A person without faith in God often collapses easily. Why do I often train my brothers and sisters to see through life and death, to see through everything? When you see through, the character and faith inside you will become very solid.
So I would like to remind the leaders of various pastoral and ministry to constantly shape people's characters in pastoral and ministry. If, after I finish preaching, you say I'm not Bezalel, but I want to be a person like Bezalel, that's the start of faith.
Conclusion
Before concluding, I have some small concerns, I don't know if I have explained it clearly. It doesn't matter, I am not a perfectionist. Just say whatever, but I am growing. Several brothers and sisters once said to me, Pastor! You're improving a little bit every day. They used my words on me. I am very grateful they can say such words. Good.
I am indeed improving a little bit every day, and still improving to this day. I encourage everyone to start being a pragmatic person. Bezalel was a pragmatic person. When he was constantly doing all kinds of ingenious work, when God called him to build God's tabernacle, he had already done N many.
Jesus was a carpenter before He came out to preach and serve, and He did it for more than ten or twenty years. If He started being a carpenter with His father without graduating from elementary school, He should have been doing it for more than ten or twenty years until He was thirty years old. From childhood, He probably handed His father axes, knives, and saws. I think Jesus was a pragmatic person; the Apostle Paul was a pragmatic person; building a church requires people who are pragmatic and grow up step by step.
What is needed is to improve a little bit every day, not to look down on this and look down on that. Not only are you like this to yourself, you are also like this to others. Other people do something a little rough, and you point fingers there. I tell you, I don't give you this opportunity. Many brothers and sisters among us have tried it. They criticize this and that all day long, as if they are doing very well themselves.
We look at problems with an eye to growth; we train everyone with an eye to growth; I don't need you to find fault. Including some of the leaders, they also find fault with this ministry, find fault with that ministry, I don't need it very much. What I need is everyone to move forward pragmatically.
If you say I'm doing it for his growth, that's not needed. You need to grow yourself first, and be a Bezalel. No matter where I borrowed that sentence from, it's a very good sentence: Grasp iron and leave traces, step on stone and leave footprints, to implement every thing in a down-to-earth manner. Making every thing clear; making every thing clear; to be a person in God's eyes who can build the church, build His glorious temple, God will surely call you by your name. Amen! May God bless everyone!
