1. Introduction: Life as a Consequence of Choices
Brothers and sisters in Christ, good day! I am glad to meet you all online again today. The sermon I will be sharing with you today is titled The Wisdom of Choice. Last week, we discussed that this path is not difficult, with the seventh key point being choice. In reality, a person is a culmination of a series of choices, and the outcome of one's life is the result of these choices. If you are living a miserable life today, it is likely due to the choices you made in the past. If you are experiencing suffering today, it is also a result of your past choices.
In other words, if a person consistently makes unwise choices, they will not live a good life and will experience hardship. Is life meant to be filled with suffering? Is life about creating unnecessary pain for oneself? In fact, life is not meant to be about suffering. I have shared a concept with you before: the outcome of a person's life is the aggregate of their experiences. If a person experiences suffering, their life will be one of pain; if they experience joy, their life will be filled with happiness. But that is merely a choice. So, why do people live such miserable lives? It is a consequence of their choices. Why do people lack the wisdom to make the right choices? How can one acquire wisdom? These are the very questions that philosophers and educators grapple with.
A Person’s Life is Defined by Their Experience
Recently, there was a news story about a person who had a minor altercation with another individual while purchasing a subway ticket. In a fit of anger, he spat on the other person. Fortunately, the other person did not retaliate. However, after boarding the subway, he began to feel unwell. He went to the restroom and collapsed outside the door. He died. The news reported that the cause of death was Covid-19, resulting in organ failure. How did this person contract Covid-19? Why did his organs fail so quickly? Even today, we are perplexed by the fact that science cannot fully explain why the Covid-19 virus seems to selectively target certain individuals.
I often tell my brothers and sisters that the Covid-19 virus likely does not choose its targets randomly. If you are not the kind of person it seeks, the probability of contracting the virus is low. If you observe carefully, you will notice that people carrying the virus interact with numerous individuals every day, yet only a few become infected. Even those few cases lead to exponential spread. Imagine what it would be like if everyone were infected. Therefore, I believe that people with volatile tempers and quick to anger are unlikely to live healthy lives and may have shorter lifespans.
If you observe carefully, you will find that people with volatile tempers tend to have shorter lifespans. We have a sister in our congregation whose grandparents and maternal grandmother all lived into their eighties and nineties. I know them, and they are all very open-minded. Recently, after listening to my sermon, her grandmother began to share her insights. I found her to be very wise. She knows how to make smart choices. She enjoys listening to my sermons. If you enjoy listening to my sermons, I believe you are a wise person.
Long-lived people are usually better at making choices, as the Bible teaches, and they are generally less prone to anger. Why are some people so easily angered? It is because they lack wisdom. They fly into a rage over the smallest of things, like the man in the news story who collapsed outside the subway restroom. Why do people become so easily enraged? It is due to a lack of wisdom. Therefore, the wisdom of choice lies in the fact that people must possess wisdom.
A few days ago, during a meal, a sister asked me, Why do people become less quick-tempered as they get older? I responded that it is because people become wiser as they age, making them better at making choices and more understanding. In fact, lacking wisdom and being unable to see things clearly is a sign of foolishness. Therefore, today, we will be discussing the topic of The Wisdom of Choice.
2. Scripture: Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Today, let us examine the scriptures in Deuteronomy, chapter 30, verses 15-20:
See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Deuteronomy 30:15-20)
3. Prayer
Let us pray together:
Lord, grant us wisdom and understanding today, fill our hearts with the wisdom that comes down from Heaven. Let us discern between life and death, blessings and curses, and recognize that our entire lives depend on You. Allow us to dwell in the promised land for a long time and experience Your promises every day of our lives. Let us not stray from Your path, but diligently keep and obey Your commands, loving You wholeheartedly, emulating Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joshua, and Caleb in wholeheartedly loving You. Lord, grant us such wisdom today, so that we may witness Your abundant grace in the days we live on this earth, in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen!
4. The Israelites as Our Lesson
As you know, when Moses wrote Deuteronomy chapter 30, the Israelites were about to complete their forty years of wandering in the wilderness. They had experienced many things during those forty years. What kind of choices did the Israelites make during their time in the wilderness? In reality, everything that happened were tragic in nature. Moses said, I summon heaven and earth as witnesses against you, to let you choose between life and death, blessings and curses. If you look closely at when Moses wrote these words, what had the Israelites experienced? After leaving Egypt, the Israelites experienced a series of miracles. God led them out of Egypt with His mighty hand. God thoroughly struck the Egyptians with mighty hand. Otherwise, how could the Egyptians have let the Israelites leave Egypt? Once the Israelites left Egypt, the Egyptian economy would collapse. You know, several million Israelites were their labor force. As a result, God’s mighty hand led them into the wilderness. But they quickly forgot God and chose to rebel against Him again.
As a consequence, God was angry with them in the wilderness. Then, at Mount Sinai, Moses received the Ten Commandments, which were written by God’s own finger. God even spoke to the Israelites from the clouds in the sky. They experienced many things, yet they made a golden calf and worshipped it, which was very strange and astonishing. What kind of choices were these? What were they thinking? After more than a year of training in the wilderness, they were prepared to enter the promised land. The twelve spies entered to scout out the land of Canaan, bringing back good fruit, and they knew that the land was indeed good. What happened next? Ten of the spies reported bad news, and their statements were very astonishing. They said, Many people in Canaan are giants, and entering there is like committing suicide. They see us as grasshoppers, and when we look at ourselves, we also see ourselves as grasshoppers. Therefore, the Bible records that God was angry and immediately struck down these ten spies, causing them to die of plague in front of the Israelites.
No Faith, Fear Will Be Killed by God
Here, I wonder if these ten spies knew that offending God would lead to death? They knew! Was it better to die for offending God? Or was it better to take a risk, rely on God to fight a battle with the giants in Canaan where they might not necessarily die? Why make such a foolish choice? I really cannot understand it! These ten spies were afraid of the giants in Canaan, but what was so great about those giants? Were they more powerful than Pharaoh? No! God could defeat Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Could He not defeat these giants in Canaan? I really cannot understand what these people were thinking. These spies did not believe in God and spoke words that undermined the faith of the Israelites. God was angry and they died in front of the Israelites, dying on the spot! I wonder if these people knew how powerful God was? God killed every firstborn son in every Egyptian household, including Pharaoh’s firstborn son. Did they not know that? Our God is a very powerful God! However, many people do not know this! They think it is okay to offend our God casually. Yes! You offend Him once today, offend Him again tomorrow, and it seems like it does not matter. But when it matters, it is like the fate of these ten spies. Therefore, because these ten spies reported bad news, the Israelites were afraid, and God was angry, causing them to wander in the wilderness for an additional thirty-eight and a half years, totaling forty years. Originally, they were trained for a year and a half and were ready to enter the land of Canaan.
This path was not meant to be difficult! Life should have been good, but wandering in the wilderness for forty years was so difficult! Those thirty-eight and a half years were brought on by the Israelites themselves! Why insist on taking this difficult path? I find it hard to understand! During these forty years, Korah’s rebellion caused trouble, and the Midianites enticed the Israelites into prostitution, causing them to be cursed and die in waves. As a result, of the six hundred thousand men who could fight, only two remained: Joshua and Caleb. At this time, Moses wrote Deuteronomy to prepare them to enter the promised land of Canaan. The choices made by the Israelites were puzzling! In fact, if we look closely at the choices people make today, they are also very incomprehensible. Sometimes when I get angry, I would say, These people must have had their brains filled with thin stool. In my past years of service, those I have served have experienced great miracles, but they forget quickly and start going back to their old ways. I really don’t understand that! Why do they often choose curses instead of blessings, disasters instead of blessings between life and death, blessings and curses? Why must they choose death instead of life in the matters of life and death? It turns out that people are innately very foolish, to the point that it's hard to describe. It turns out that human nature is to be against God! Therefore, today we must learn to break ourselves.
Remove all kinds of myths, and wholeheartedly seek, ponder, and think about the Word of God.
Why did the Israelites choose this way? Because they were self-righteous! And a very self-righteous group of people who believe they are doing the right thing. Self-righteousness is a very representative reflection of them. The degree of self-righteousness indicates the degree of a person’s ignorance. In fact, today, many Christians are still wandering in the wilderness, not willing to fight to gain the promised land—such Christians are everywhere. The path we have walked is actually to break through many foolish things within us. But today there are still many foolish things within us. why? Because we need to wholeheartedly seek, ponder, and think about the Word of God.
Let me give you some examples, and some may stumble. I encourage you to follow me to ponder and think. Today, we cannot get the promises. Christians are everywhere, all because they regard these unimportant things as the truth. For example, the matter of praying before meals, is it good? good! But isn’t it troublesome if the result is they only pray before meals? So today, Christians have only become Christians who pray before meals. In fact, is the matter of praying before meals very important? Not important. There are many important things! Why do you take praying before meals so importantly? I do not understands. Therefore, I do not encourage everyone to pray before meals. Those who have the habit of praying before meals can pray, and those who do not have the habit of praying before meals may ignore it. In fact, what I said is based on the Bible. The Bible has never elevated praying before meals to a very high level of truth.
Another problem is worship in the church. Has everyone noticed that worship has become less and less important in our church? In fact, what do you do after singing a few songs? is this correct? In fact, in the letters of the Apostle Paul in the Bible, worship is not placed in an important position! Why did I mention this here? Because it is during the epidemic period. During this period, the church must be transferred to the Internet, but they found a problem when they transferred it to the Internet. Now the Singapore government stipulates that no more than a few people can attend offline gatherings. As a result, a pastor asked, The number of our drummers, musicians, pastors, etc. who worship God must exceed the prescribed number. what should I do? Many people below are thinking about ideas. They attach great importance to worship! why not ask how to do pastoral work? Churches are transformed from entities to Internet churches. Why doesn’t everyone mention how I can do pastoral work in the future? How can we effectively solve their problems when so many people are meeting online?
In fact, pastoral care is a very important ministry of the church. Why make worship an important thing in the church? In the past few years, our church pioneered becoming an online church very early. The difference between us and many churches is that our services are all online. No matter what time of night, as long as there is a need, unless everyone is very busy. Of course this Everyone also understands very well. Generally speaking, our response speed is much better than that of ordinary churches. Regarding the online church, many church pastors said that God’s will is in the physical church. I don’t understand why people choose to say that? Because they feel that they can collect offerings by having a physical church church. However, they have no way to establish good connections under the physical church. Wouldn’t being online make them a mess? This is crucial.
Later, we turned the matter of Sunday worship into prayer service. When everyone enters the web page, they will find that we will not lead you to sing. After singing, is God satisfied? In fact, it is just praising God with the lips, but the heart is far away from God. But wouldn’t it be better if we choose to worship God in our hearts?
Therefore, the choices of the Israelites are our example. We should choose between life and death, blessings and curses, so that we can live long in the promised land and live under God’s promises. Moses summoned heaven and earth as witnesses. Today, I also make witness to my brothers and sisters in Christ, so that you may know how to make good choices between life and death, blessings and curses. Why choose death? Why choose disaster? We really need to enter into God’s heart.
5. How to Make the Right Choices?
By observing so many negative choices, we can be clear on why people make such choices, and how they can make the right choices. It stems from self-righteousness. To a frog in a well, the sky above looks the same size as the well's opening. The frog has limited knowledge and narrow perspective, and this determines its choices. It cannot imagine that the outside world is more expansive than the sky above. So to describe human ignorance, one uses the analogy of a frog in a well.
Does this exist in the world? No! Does that exist? No, I’ve never seen it before. - that’s the frog in the well! A person’s view of things determines his choices. If people are ignorant, they will make strange choices. People will not do things they think are wrong. What things does the frog in the well do? All the choices it makes are what it thinks are right. It will not do something it thinks is wrong.
Once I saw a post online, the man had carefully listened to our global medical healing and liberation seminar theology system. I talked about my mother's lumbar spine which had a bad section. She went to the hospital for a film. The doctor could not understand why my mother could still walk even though her lumbar spine was bad. To this day you touch her spine there, there is a recessed piece. The doctor did not believe it. But my mother's lumbar spine is indeed good, as God’s power withheld it.
Is this not a good thing? Yes! But this person commented: How is this possible? This is impossible! He would not believe this. But I am talking about my mother, the person right next to me, how could I lie? He may think that I am lying, but is this not a frog in the well mentality? He just listened to it online and insisted that it was impossible. So how is that impossible?
Actually what is the correct way of thinking? The correct way of thinking should not lead people to think that it is impossible. The Israelite selection of those choices were very narrow minded. They forgot all the things God had done.
I was also contemplating on what kind of person he was. Later I found that this man was really something. He was a Christian who started a church with some other Christians. Because of the epidemic, the church closed down and he was a person who enjoyed complaining. I do not know what happened and he ended up complaining about me.
I think his way of reasoning is extremely evil. His views on things were not based on his attempt to understanding it. A person like that will corrupt so many people in building a church. Why does human reason like that? He thinks that he is completely correct. Any idea that is not aligned with his is not aligned with reality. Any idea that is not aligned with his ideas, he will negate despite being the truth, he will negate and make all kinds of unreasonable explainations. How can a person like that not make choices as chaotic as the choices made by the Israelites? If they were in the wilderness, God’s work was so many times more amazing than mine! What would he think if he saw God’s work? “Impossible!” I find it sad.
To this day many people think that Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (聊斋志异) writes of myth. That they were fabrications. Actually the stories in Strange Tales often happen in our society today. One time I went to a place and the person received me with a car and let me sit next to them. Afterwards we talked stories. We became more aquainted. He told me his experiences. At night whenever he sleeps. There will be a woman ghost sleeping with him. It seems so real. He can even sense the body of the woman ghost. In the morning when he wakes up, he is very fatigue. I said, that is nothing. Casting out demons, that is what I am best at! That was a few years ago. Casting out the demons was effective. That person got alright. But humans are peculiar things. After sometime he invited the ghosts back. The matter remained unresolved in the end because that person did not want me to keep casting away the demons.
The day before yesterday, another Liaozhai story came online. Someone left a message on our website, writing that he was possessed by a ghost that often found him at night and slept with him. Another protagonist of a Liaozhai story, just like someone I encountered a few years ago. I encouraged him to contact the assistants for healing and deliverance. Actually, these things are all described in Liaozhai. When we didn't know these things before, we thought they were just myths. But people who encounter these things dare not tell anyone, because others will say they are crazy. Isn't that deadly?
When these people encounter those frogs in a well, they say, You're imagining things, explaining it over and over. But explaining it doesn't make it go away, because the spiritual realm is real, and there really are these ghosts. If people only have a concept of this life and not of the spiritual realm, they will make choices based on the same concepts as the Israelites.
I named the first lesson of my 101 Course The Spiritual Realm Is Real. Everyone who comes among us, whether they are already believers or not, will learn this lesson. After learning this lesson, you will also be asked to write about your own experiences in the spiritual realm. Almost everyone has experienced paranormal stories.
I have a university classmate who, when she decided to have heart surgery, told her child, If someone calls you tomorrow to tell you, you should know that Mom has passed away; if no one calls you, then cook some porridge and bring it to Mom. As a result, on the operating table, her heart stopped beating for a few minutes. In those few minutes, she experienced several people in the spiritual realm grabbing her. Suddenly, a voice said to her, Don't go with them. But she couldn't fight those people, and she was forced to go forward with them. Suddenly, a strange wind blew over, and those ghosts left her. She came back, and her heart continued to beat, and she came back to life. Later, she told me about the reality of the spiritual realm.
The reason the Israelites fell in the wilderness and made that series of choices was because they were stuck in the system of this life. They immediately forgot the miracles and wonders they experienced. They did not think about or summarize what they experienced, nor did they know that the spiritual realm is real. If they didn't know and didn't establish this system, they would forget it in an instant. They ate manna that God sent down from heaven, but they knew nothing about the spiritual realm.
Today, if Christians are ignorant of the spiritual realm, then they are simply treating the Bible as a textbook or a classic to read. That's not effective. We should choose to say, If the spiritual realm is real, then we choose to connect with God. Our connection with God is wisdom. We begin to reject being self-righteous, and we must know that there is a heaven beyond the heavens, a mountain beyond the mountains, and a person beyond the people. If we are frogs in a well and want to know what the outside of the well is like, we must connect with people outside the well who know more than we do and ask them. Our perspective will come out of the situation of being a frog in a well, so our choices will no longer be the choices of a frog in a well.
Today, we begin to reject being self-righteous. In fact, what we see with our eyes is very limited, so be careful of being self-righteous. The Israelites fell in the wilderness entirely because of their own wrong choices. Today, our brothers and sisters must begin to know why people make such choices. People make such choices because they feel that their choices are right, so today I will share with you the wisdom of choice.
6. The Wisdom of Choice: Seeing Through Life and Death, Fortune and Misfortune
Moses said in the Bible, Choose between life and death, between blessing and curse. Let's first choose between life and death. You have to know what life is and what death is. Life is connecting with God, and connecting with God is life; being separated from God is called death. If we live with the concept of this life, we will feel that being able to eat and drink is very good. If we cannot eat and drink and then lie in a coffin, we die and become a handful of ashes. The concept of life and death is completely different when viewed with human logic and with God's logic.
The life and death that Moses wrote about are connecting with God and walking with God, or being separated from God and walking with ghosts. Everyone must establish a clear concept in order to make the right choice, so in the past few years, I have spoken two sermons on seeing through life and death. I feel that these are some of the best I have preached, and everyone can listen to them online! Only by seeing through life and death and connecting with God can you make wise choices. If you don't understand life and death, how can you make wise choices?
The Israelites in the wilderness did not see through life and death, so when they had no water to drink, they complained to God. They felt that water was their life, and they often made the wrong choices. Jesus said, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. People choose death because it is reasonable and conforms to human道理, but the result is that people fall in the wilderness. As Christians, we must understand what our choices are. If our minds are filled with human道理, it is difficult for you to make the right choices, and you cannot have the wisdom of choice.
Today, we must come out of the discernment of good and evil, catering to the flesh, the customs of this world, and the desires of the flesh. We must come out of the love of the world. If you still have the discernment of good and evil, catering to the flesh, love of the world, and following the customs of this world, you cannot make wise choices, because with these things, you will definitely choose death, and you will definitely choose disaster! The wisdom of man's choice must be a very clear choice between life and death.
Why don't people choose life? Why do they choose to fall in the wilderness? Because their concepts are unclear. The example of the Israelites can give us a very clear answer. Today, if we are filled with the logical system of the world, you cannot make the right choices. If people want to have wisdom, you should put the word of God in your mind and in your heart. We must know that Jesus' answer is very good: man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. The testimonies I share with you are all because of the strength released by the word of God!
Today, when people face a coronavirus, they make such a mess. Cities are being locked down here and there. This is just a small coronavirus. If all kinds of viruses are released, won't that kill people? If people live with a worldly system, they can't even handle a small virus! People must have a clear concept of life and death in order to have the wisdom of choice. I think if you can clarify the concept of life and death, you will have a greater proportion of making the right choices.
People must choose between blessing and curse. The most important thing in a person's life is blessing and curse! Blessing and curse are spiritual concepts. If the things a person does are always interfered with by ghosts, you cannot have blessings! If a person often encounters disasters in life, it is really difficult to last long, so today you must choose between blessing and curse. To have the wisdom of choice, you must understand blessing and curse, and never be a frog in a well.
Why do we need to learn to read the word of God? On the earth of mankind, a small earthling, like a speck of dust in the universe, our understanding of the world and science is very shallow. Our understanding of things, even those stories in Liaozhai Zhiyi, we can hardly understand. Where can we understand, right? In fact, the most fundamental thing about choosing between life and death, blessing and curse, is the word of God, so it is a tragedy for people not to understand the word of God.
Moses was face to face with God for forty days without drinking water, eating, or sleeping, and came down from the mountain alive. He was a high-level man. God personally told him what to do, and even gave him the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. His words are very simple:
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
So we must come out of our narrow concepts. Blessing and curse are very powerful things. Some people live in a curse and choke even when drinking cold water. Everyone knows that this person is blessed and that person is cursed. These are the most basic common sense in our daily life. Some people live in a curse all their lives, and they can't do anything well.
When I was young, my mother liked to find fortune-tellers. When the fortune-teller came to our house, we five children stood there, and the fortune-teller pointed to me and said that I was blessed. Today I understand that, because later I would believe in the Lord, and believing in the Lord is a blessing. However, believing in the Lord must be believed to the point where you can truly grasp the word of God and make a smart and wise choice between life and death, blessing and curse.
What is wisdom? Wisdom is the word of God, so today we must be very, very serious about the word of God. Many churches do not study the Bible, but our church does. If you go to the website, you will see a lot of Bible study materials. Why? Because we study the Bible, one book at a time.
Moses was a high-level man, and he wrote the book of Genesis very well. So today, if you ask me where the wisdom of choice is, the wisdom of choice is in the word of God in the Bible.
7. Constant Learning and Growth, Constant Breaking
Our church has relatively high requirements. Every brother and sister in our church takes notes after listening to sermons and Bible studies. Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and usually there are prayer meetings, this meeting and that meeting, a lot of things. If you count all the ministries and services, in fact, everyone spends a lot of time, but does it delay work? No. Does it delay learning? No. Don't you find it strange? According to the worldly principles of the world, it must be delayed. Because a person's time is limited. If you use it here, you can't use it there, but the brothers and sisters among us are not delayed at all. I had this confusion a long time ago, but later this confusion completely disappeared.
Because choosing blessing between blessing and curse, isn't choosing blessing a good thing? If you choose life between life and death, isn't choosing life a good thing? Isn't it?
Recently, a pastor's wife came among us. She probably has never seen a church that does what we do in the traditional belief system, because most churches are very casual about preaching and listening to sermons. I left her a passage, saying that she should take notes and do homework. I sent her the homework, 101 courses, Genesis. You can't be too casual anymore. You must take notes. This is a requirement that every member of our church must meet. She had never experienced this before, but she was also very happy.
I think this is constant learning and growth, because we must be very clear about one thing in our hearts, that such investment is worthwhile and such choice is wise. Because you can't learn the word of God well. If you don't have this wisdom to make choices, you often choose death in life and death, and you choose disaster in blessing and curse, and you wipe out all your past efforts. Then what is the point of human beings? Isn't it?
Today, if we delay something, it must be delaying our time in the hospital bed, delaying our time with the virus. Isn't this a good delay? Delaying the time in the hospital bed, delaying the time with Alzheimer's disease, delaying the time with the new coronavirus, isn't it great? We have reduced a lot of trouble, isn't this wisdom? Isn't it?
There is a brother from Canada. In fact, I only recently learned that he secretly wrote Romans and Hebrews, writing one chapter after listening to one chapter. In fact, although he had listened to my sermons before, there were many things he didn't agree with, so he did Romans and Hebrews. Later, he told me that he turned all the recordings into text and was released while doing it. It turns out that so much time and effort will be released. As a result, he was released a lot and experienced many things in the spiritual realm. If there is an opportunity, I hope to encourage him to tell his testimony himself.
The work of the church is to educate people to have the wisdom of choice, to educate people to take the word of God as the foundation of their lives. This is the work of the church. So today, our brothers and sisters must know that our church is not a superficial church. We just want to build up the wisdom of choice in people's hearts and build up faith in the word of God, including everything we do. All of these things must revolve around the word of God, so that our brothers and sisters can become wise people.
In fact, the church should become an educational institution, including how mothers educate their children and train mothers in bringing up their children. To be honest, many of the mothers among us knew how to care for there kids, but they’ve drastically improved after coming to our church, and now know how to manage their children.
Today, in the process of preparing the manuscript, I ministered to several people. One of them, a mother who manages her child, is basically a deadly and desperate thing, but it is in the process of turning around. Education is very deadly. I once shared our educational philosophy with a brother, but he didn't listen to it very well and argued with me. Recently, he stayed at home and was upset, so he told his pastor that he was upset. How could he not be upset? In fact, among us, you can try it. Eat and sleep all day long, and raise yourself in the way pigs should be raised. It would be strange if you weren't upset.
If we don't learn, grow, deepen our understanding of God's word, and put God's word into practice, you will definitely be uncomfortable. Why do people live uncomfortably, painfully, and miserably? People should live in a good direction. If you feel uncomfortable, then I will tell you a very simple truth: you need to constantly break yourself.
If there are wrong logical systems in our hearts and a lot of strange things are installed, people should be very uncomfortable. If you like being so uncomfortable, you can continue to be uncomfortable. If you don't break yourself, God will make you uncomfortable even if you don't want to be uncomfortable. For me, having the wisdom of choice means constantly learning and growing. I want to actively break myself and let the effective replace the ineffective.
The word of God is effective, like a two-edged sword, replacing the ineffective with the effective, and people will definitely live well. We want to replace the inefficient with the efficient, the spiritual with the worldly, and then establish a whole set of belief systems and completely destroy the worldly system. If you want to do this, God will definitely help you.
8. Summary
Moses said to the Israelites:
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
You must remember that our days on earth are long, and this longevity means that we can live as long as God. How can people live long if they live like pigs? We need God every day. God's word is so clear in Deuteronomy. What kind of choice should we make?
Today, let us make a smart choice. If we implement it according to the word of God, how can we not live prosperously? Today, let us rise up and fight. All the brothers and sisters in our church must enter the Promised Land. No matter how many promises God has, in the Promised Land, in God's promises, in Jesus Christ, they are all faithful.
No matter how many promises God has, they are all yes and faithful in Jesus Christ. Today, let us prepare ourselves, choose to love the Lord our God, the way of God is not difficult to walk, when we choose to love the Lord our God, enjoy the days of being with the Lord, spend time engraving the word of God on our hearts, spend time shaping ourselves, so that we become a mighty warrior who can fight and enter the Promised Land, and whatever you do will prosper.
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open for you his good storehouse, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, and if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)
Today, this word will be fulfilled in you and in us. May God bless everyone!
