I. Introduction
Good day to all! Today, I am sharing with you a particularly good topic. Why? Because God is taking the wealth from others to give to us! Of course, this is a direct quote from the Bible, and it is a very exciting story. Today, we are still speaking on the series of God's presence. Can God's presence be spent like money, can it be eaten like food? It is not a matter of money and food, it is a decision of billions, it is a priceless treasure, you silly child! When parents see that their child does not know which is more valuable, they would say: Silly child! This is a decision worth billions, yet many people do not know.
Last time, we spoke about Jacob going to his uncle Laban's house with only a staff. Today, we will talk about the story of Jacob returning from his uncle Laban's house. When Jacob had only a staff, he did not even know what he had. What was it like when he returned with that staff? Wow, a tycoon! When you hear me say tycoon, you say: Teacher, it seems that you love money quite a bit. No, what I love is God's presence. Jacob did not know how valuable God's presence was, so he sought God's presence without really understanding. Now he knows, doesn't he? Now he understands, twenty years have passed in the blink of an eye. Today, I must tell you that it is a tragedy when a person is not blessed financially! It is also a tragedy when one is not blessed in health! Why? Because poor financial and health conditions are all spiritual issues. I tell you, a spiritual person will definitely be blessed financially, although it may take some time.
Today we will speak on God has taken away your father's livestock and given them to me. This matter sounds a bit unethical, but this is what God did. We do not blame Jacob. Our God just does things this way. Do you know what God does most often? The most common thing He does is to take the wealth from some people and give it to others. Do not argue with God. There is no logic to argue with here. Mount Seir was originally inhabited by the Horites, but God took it away and gave it to Esau. So what? I am willing! Therefore, sometimes the word I am willing! is infuriating! Why do you believe in the Lord? I am willing! Why do you like to eat durian? I am willing! There is no why, it is just that God is willing. What can you do about it? Nothing! God took the land of Moab and gave it to the descendants of Lot, and the land of Ammon and gave it to the descendants of Ammon. The whole earth belongs to God. He gives it to whomever He wishes. Who was the land of Canaan given to? It was given to Israel, even to this day, that very place where they are now.
God determines the boundaries of all nations. If you have a good relationship with God, this is powerful! Our God is the Natural Resources Management Bureau of the entire universe. He says this is yours, and it is yours. He says these sheep are yours, and they are yours. God is such a God, a very cruel reality. The question is, are you the one being robbed, or the one to whom things are being given? If you are the one being robbed, it is a tragedy! After all the hard work, you end up losing a lot of money. You say you should not work hard, but you still have ten million in your hands. After working hard, that ten million becomes negative ten million. What is the point?
I do not understand why many people do not value God. Sometimes I am very angry, but I advise myself to take it easy. Each person has his own fate, what kind of person, what kind of fate! For example, Sunday gatherings, the Sunday gathering is such a short time, yet they cannot set it apart for God. It is all for their son, for their husband, all these things! Then you should seek your husband's presence, seek your son's presence, do not seek God's presence. Do not say: I want to serve God, I want to dedicate my life to God! Hey, you are not even willing to dedicate the time of the Sunday gathering. What are you dedicating? You dedicate your life to God. Do you know what this means? It means that all your time is given to God.
Anyway, as I see it, if you cannot even set apart time to dedicate to God, it is rubbish! Do not think that because I serve you willingly, I think you are very spiritual; no! I serve you willingly because I serve you as I serve God. It is not that you are so great in God's eyes that I serve you, no! What God gives me, I serve one by one. Some people are taken away by demons. If they are taken away, I will open champagne at home to celebrate! Do you think I am opening champagne, or not opening champagne?
God has created a very cruel reality, that some people are being robbed, and some people are being given to. It is very cruel, reflect on it. I have made one decision in my life that was correct, which is that I do not care about anything else, I only care about God's presence, only care about pleasing God. Every decision I make, I will think: Does God like me doing this? This thing makes a lot of money, but it eliminates God's presence, is that not trouble? I tell you, all that I have comes from God. I do not rely on the strength of my own hands. Because many years ago, I have already proven that relying on my own ability is not as good as relying on God. Do you think I am stupid? I rely on God, and the benefits of trusting in God are great!
A person's perspective determines their future. For example, Jacob's perspective, Jacob always has a good perspective. That perspective immediately saw the blessings in eternity. Twenty years ago, he held only a staff. Today, he has become a large herd of sheep, a large herd of cattle, and a large herd of camels. How do you know? He took a small portion and sent it to his brother Esau, two hundred sheep, camels, donkeys, so many. You should know that that is a lot of money! Even now, if I were to give you two hundred sheep, twenty camels, what would you think?
Do you all know how much two hundred sheep and twenty camels are worth? One sheep is three thousand, so two hundred sheep is six hundred thousand, and cows and camels are even more valuable! Twenty years ago, Jacob held only a staff. Today, he has become a large herd of sheep, camels, donkeys, etc. I think, if he took a tenth of it and gave it to Esau, then he has a lot of money! Where did it come from? God took it from others and gave it to him. How many years? God took it and gave it to him in six years. Is Jacob's focus on cattle and sheep? No! Jacob's focus is on God's blessings, so God is with him.
Later, I discovered that this world is very interesting. Some people have a glass ball in their hand, and they trade it for a cow. How did they trade it? That is how they trade it. You should know that in this world, the amount of money has never decreased, it is just that the money flows from one person's hand to another person's hand. How can a glass ball be exchanged for a cow? Let me calculate this for you. He took this glass ball to the beach to find a child. When the child saw the glass ball, he thought it was good, so he gave a very beautiful shell to him. He took this shell and went west. As soon as he left the beach, the shell became valuable, and he exchanged it for ten glass balls. Then he returned to the beach. He would do this back and forth, just trading things. As he traded, he slowly traded it for a cow, and a cow slowly traded it for a house. Some people exchange a house for a cow, and a cow slowly exchanges it for a shell, and a shell exchanges it for a glass ball.
God's presence is really powerful. God gives you one tael of silver, and God wants to be with you, and you slowly make it into ten taels of silver; if God gives you one tael of silver, and you do not have God's presence, then that tael of silver will be taken away by God and given to the person with ten taels of silver. Do you think this is reasonable? I tell you, God is such a God. The question is, are you the person with God's presence, or the person without God's presence? For those without God's presence, slowly face your bad luck吧! Why did God take Laban's things and give them to Jacob? What did Jacob do? Today, we are talking about this. You must know Jacob. If you do not know Jacob in this life, it is a tragedy! Jacob left with only a staff, and when he returned, he had become a large herd of cattle, sheep, etc., becoming a very wealthy person in that era. This all depends on a person's spiritual perspective.
A few years ago, one of our sisters said: Teacher, I want to sell my house. I said: How much can you sell it for? She said: Sell it for seven or eight million. It is okay if she sells it, and it is okay if she does not sell it, but she could not sell it no matter what. Where can you reason with that? She wanted to sell it but could not sell it. As a result, another two years passed in the blink of an eye, and she sold it for twelve million. There was such a sucker who bought it when the market price was at its highest. You do not need that many suckers, just one is enough. When it was sold, it was twelve million, but now it has fallen back to seven or eight million. Where can you reason with that? This is not just one case, there are many such cases that have happened among us. God is taking that four million from that person and giving it to us. Why? Because of God's presence! You say that you are also quite immoral. This is not a matter of morality, it is a matter of taking it and giving it to whom. You cannot reason with what God does. You are helpless to what God wants to do!
One of our sisters also told me about her selling her house last night. She also found someone, and that person told her: You pay taxes and add that price to it. Then she sold the house like that. As soon as she sold it, the government issued an order to exempt taxes! She saved five hundred thousand ah. Is God's presence valuable or not? God's presence is too valuable! Do not end up losing God's presence. If you only have your husband's presence with you, that is troublesome! And I also tell you, God prepares many people, who seem to be on fire, but God just lets them be on fire, letting what they earn be given to those whom God loves. So good! How can you still say it is good? You are too immoral! Why is it not good?
May God take Laban's sheep and give them to me! If Laban said that the spotted ones should be given to Jacob, then the sheep born would be spotted; if Laban said that the striped ones should be given to Jacob, then the sheep born would be striped. This matter is under God's control. That is not biotechnology, that is God technology! And if you have these things, even if someone wants to harm us, God will protect us. Like Laban wanted to kill Jacob, he could not kill him. God gave him a dream and said: Laban, you must be careful, do not say good or bad, if you want to say good or bad, I will take your life! It is not recorded like this in the Bible, this is my translation, but that is roughly the meaning. Is it good to have God's protection? It is very good to have God's protection! Because after you have money, many flies and mosquitoes will come, but God will protect you. So we are used to having days with God, and we do not know how to live days without God. With God's protection, everything is easy to handle. So today I advise you all, you must learn from Jacob ah, will you learn? Learn!
II. Scripture
Jacob heard that the sons of Laban were saying, Jacob has taken away all that was our father's, and from what was our father's he has gained all this wealth. And Jacob saw that Laban did not regard him with favor as before. Then the Lord said to Jacob, Return to the land of your fathers and to your kindred, and I will be with you. So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah into the field where his flock was and said to them, I see that your father does not regard me with favor as before. But the God of my father has been with me. You know that I have served your father with all my strength, yet your father has cheated me and changed my wages ten times. But God did not permit him to harm me. If he said, 'The spotted ones shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore spotted ones. And if he said, 'The striped ones shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore striped ones. Thus God has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me. (Genesis 31:1-9)
III. Prayer
God! This group of brothers and sisters desires to be the Jacob of this generation, desiring to experience Your presence. God! We deeply long for Your presence, not because of finances, but because You are our life, You are our truth. God! Guide us today, let us know You more. God! Guide us, let us be willing to set apart time to give to You, let us value Your presence. God! May You have mercy on us. Just as You took away Laban's livestock and gave them to Jacob, today You also take away those livestock and give them to us, let us lack nothing in You, gain Your benefits deeply in You, and often experience Your presence, Your grace, and Your blessings in You. God! Give us grace, give us this courage, give us this view, let us be able to imitate Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Bible, those great men of faith who made covenants with You. May You have mercy on us, lead us, let us draw closer to You, and value Your presence more. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
IV. Scripture Background
The background of this passage is familiar to everyone, but I still have to tell you. Sometimes the things I talk about, if they are repeated from what I have said before, then it means they are very important. If they are repeated again next time, it means they are even more important! You should know that Jacob was ninety-five or six years old when he came out of Laban's house. He stayed in Laban's house for twenty years. During these twenty years, he never forgot the God he had pursued in the past seventy-five years. How much he longed for God's presence, how much he longed for God to speak to him. As a result, he fell asleep in the wilderness on the way to his uncle Laban's house, and God spoke to him. What did God say to him? God stood above the ladder, declaring blessings on Jacob.
Then Jacob woke up and said: Wow! God is here, and I did not even know it. But there are many things he did not know! Jacob only knew at this time that God does things this way. He had never even thought he would have such a large herd of cattle, sheep, and camels. He said: God, just give me food to eat, clothes to wear, and let me return safely to my father's house. People's needs seem to be very simple, but he said: I did not even know it! Does he know this time? He knows. Jacob went to his uncle Laban's house with only a staff. He only wanted to say: God, I just want to be able to come back. Give me food to eat, give me clothes to wear, and let me return safely. As a result, he returned this time as a very wealthy man. Our God likes wealth very much, our God likes prosperity very much. Our God does not like being shriveled. Can you say that shriveled days are good? They are not good!
This old man Jacob went to work at his uncle Laban's house. At first, Laban let him live for free, with a one-month trial period. When Laban saw that this boy Jacob was capable! Think about how powerful Jacob was. It was that he was blessed because God was with him! People with God's presence have characteristics. What do they look like? They look like me. I am being Versailles again. Do you all know what characteristics people with God's presence have? It is that everything they touch is blessed. Laban's house had a sheep that was sick, so he brought the sheep over and asked Jacob to watch over the flock. As a result, the sick sheep got better, and the healthy sheep became even stronger. Do you know what this is called? This is called being blessed!
In this complex society, it is difficult to examine a person's skills. Actually, skills are useless. Even if you have great skills and you work very hard, but you are unlucky, it is useless! Give you a county town, you go there to be the top leader. As a result, this county town used to be quite
Laban answered Jacob, “These daughters are my daughters, these children are my children, and these flocks are my flocks. All you see is mine. But what can I do about my daughters and their children whom they have borne? (Genesis 31:43)
Laban felt it all belonged to him, infuriating, isn't it? But Laban was helpless! Why was he helpless? He originally wanted to kill Jacob and take back all the flocks, but God resolved the issue with a dream. What was that dream? God said, Laban, watch your head, be careful what you say! God took Laban’s livestock and gave it to Jacob; could Laban snatch it back from God? Impossible! A problem that could be solved by a dream, yet you want men to resolve it, wouldn’t that lead to a brawl? God took Laban's livestock and gave it to Jacob, which is quite interesting. How exactly can one make this happen? How can one get God to seize things from others and give them to you? You might think it’s a bit inappropriate, a bit embarrassing. No need to be embarrassed! How does it work then? I will explain it to you next.
Five, Principle One: Be Faithful in Another’s Affairs, and God Will Give You Your Own
You must know this is quite interesting. I will not talk about Jacob first, but about this scripture, which was mentioned by Jesus in the New Testament. In this generation, not many people can explain this sentence better than I can. I explain it particularly well, why? Because that's exactly what I have been doing! Think about it, when I used to work, I was extremely faithful! My boss's difficulties were my difficulties. If my boss wanted to entrust a task to me, I would surely do it with utmost loyalty. Now, tell me, did I suffer a loss, or did I not?
If your mind hasn’t caught up, don't force it; heed my advice. This is not a PUA, nor a CPU; what is it? It’s a principle! Why did I do this? My logic is very simple: if others don't give me the platform to solve problems, and I don't solve problems, where will I get my experience? Being faithful in another’s affairs, working hard is good, but many people don’t think so. They think, He only pays me a thousand, why should I do ten thousand worth of work? I’ll just do five hundred. That’s disloyalty! So today I have to do a bit of human resource training, which is: People must be faithful in another’s affairs, then God will give you your own things.
See, these cattle, sheep, and camels all belonged to Jacob's uncle, Laban; God seized them and gave them to you, and they become your own. Why? Because Jacob was so faithful in tending sheep at his uncle Laban’s house! When have you ever seen Jacob tending sheep disloyally? Even if Laban cut his wages today, he remains faithful; even if he cuts his wages tomorrow, he remains faithful, diligently tending his sheep. Why? The reason is simple: he does these things as if doing them for God. Today, brothers and sisters, you must know, whatever you do, is it as if you are doing it for God? Don’t just say you are loyal in your work; actually, not many people are as loyal as I am in pastoring and serving. Why? The reason is simple: because they don't know this principle. They only see the money in other people's pockets, they forget to be faithful in their duties. If you are faithful in small matters, God will entrust you with great things to manage.
Think about it, did Jacob encounter many difficulties in tending sheep? Yes! Which one did he not resolve properly? Therefore, he accumulated extremely rich pastoral experience. He could raise sheep, donkeys, camels; all of which he learned in Laban's house! You learn loyally, you accumulate rich experience, and when God gives you your own things, then you have the experience to do it. So, grasp this principle: be faithful in another’s affairs! I often see people not being faithful in other people's affairs. If people are not faithful in other people's affairs, can God give you your own things in the end? No! Why? God seized Laban’s things and gave them to Jacob because Jacob did things as if doing them for God! This is the kind of character that God wants.
Six, Principle Two: Do Not Be Anxious
Do not be anxious! My words may be a bit crude, but they are straightforward: don’t be anxious. Think about it, fourteen years plus six years, twenty years passed. During these fourteen years, was Jacob anxious? No, he diligently tended sheep. After these fourteen years, he accumulated a lot of experience. Then plus six years, with Laban constantly changing his wages in between, was he anxious? No, because he simply didn’t care about it! All he asked for was clothes to wear and food to eat. Why? A spiritual person simply doesn’t care about such things. Why doesn’t he care? Because he seeks blessings from heaven. If you care a lot about money, you will definitely be anxious!
One year passed, nothing; seven years passed, still nothing; fourteen years passed, still nothing! Did you see Jacob being anxious? No. Why wasn’t he anxious? He was practicing faith! What was he anxious about? He thought: God will surely bestow these things upon me. As long as I have God's presence, I have no problems! It's not having faith when you have money and losing faith when you don't. How many of us build our faith on money? I have money, I am very confident. I am blessed, I earn money, thank God; if I don't earn money, I ask God what He's up to.
When people are anxious, they cannot do things well. As they fret, they become disloyal; as they fret, they start to become corrupt. Even now, if you embezzle in a company, you can be sent to jail, right? Taking kickbacks, doing all these nonsensical things. So, being anxious is not faith; those with faith are not anxious. You know, I pay special attention to one thing: I am particularly afraid of my coworkers being anxious. Don’t be anxious! If the boss keeps telling the employees not to be anxious, what if they don’t work hard? I am not afraid of that, I am afraid of not having God's presence. With God's presence, with faith in God, we will surely prosper! So, do not be anxious.
Seven, Principle Three: Be Able to Endure Hardship
The most fatal thing about people is laziness! Recently, I have ministered to quite a few people, and I have found that they all have the problem of laziness. They procrastinate if they can, and they cannot endure hardship. Why? Because they have no faith. As soon as they do a little work, they cry out: God, I can't endure the hardship! Jacob endured the heat during the day and the frost at night; he worked very diligently!
This twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and female goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks. I did not bring you the sheep torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss myself. And you demanded payment from me for whatever was stolen by day or stolen by night. This was my life: The heat consumed me by day and the cold by night, and sleep fled from my eyes. (Genesis 31:38-40)
Did you see that? Jacob served an employer who was not very good, but in this affliction and toil, God said: God has seen my affliction and my toil, and He rebuked you last night.
If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my toil, and last night He rebuked you.” (Genesis 31:42)
Today, brothers and sisters, if you are willing to endure hardship and willing to exert effort, I tell you, God will surely remember your affliction! Actually, Jacob is quite remarkable; he doesn't think of working like this as hardship. If he thought of this work as hardship, he would not be able to persist. He feels that he should work like this, only then can he succeed. Why? Because working like this is called the practice of faith. Not being anxious is the practice of faith; being faithful in another’s affairs is the practice of faith; in toil, enduring the heat during the day and the frost at night is also a practice of faith!
God, aren’t you with me? If you are with me, why do I have to endure so much hardship? Jacob did not think like this; he felt: isn’t this very normal? This momentary light affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison! Brothers and sisters, do not think that being a Christian, being blessed by God, means lying down and waiting for manna to fall from heaven. If manna doesn't fall from heaven, then bird droppings might instead. Laziness is not acceptable. I tell you, why is it the wicked, lazy servant, and not the wicked, cunning servant? Today, there are many lazy people among us, and lazy people don’t like to work.
Thank God! I especially love to work; it’s so uncomfortable not working. Working diligently is so good; if you don’t work diligently, then what are you doing? Anyway, you are there watching the flock all day. You watch it diligently, it's still like that; you don’t watch it diligently, you don’t enjoy anything. You think if the weather is hot, I won't watch it diligently, and the weather won’t be hot? The weather is quite cold at night; you watch it diligently, it's still cold; you don’t watch it diligently, it's still cold. Isn't that the case? It’s all a practice of faith! A person with heavenly blessings, one who seeks God's presence on earth, who desires God's presence, who longs for the blessings in eternity, must be a down-to-earth person. Why? He doesn’t value money; he values faith and loyalty before God!
Eight, Principle Four: Have a Clear Mind
You must know that Jacob is a remarkable person; his mind is very clear, and his faith is definitely not a muddled faith. Where is he clear?
Then Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah to come out to the fields where his flocks were. He said to them, “I see that your father’s attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me. You yourselves know that I’ve worked for your father with all my strength, yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me.(Genesis 31:3-7)
At this time, did Jacob know which side his wives were on? No. If his wives were on his father's side, wouldn't that be foolish? You stay, I’ll go! Jacob was clear-headed and convinced his wives. Actually, Laban's two daughters would occasionally hear their father say, I want to kill him! In those days, people with some money were ruthless! Do you think people with money today are not ruthless? They are too! What to do about this? Jacob first worked on their minds, telling them: God has not allowed him to harm me, you must know that I have God with me; if you follow me, I will have God with me for life; if you don’t follow me, you will be with your father for life. This is how God has taken your father's livestock and given it to me. Were these words brilliant? Yes! Very wise, very articulate, and clear-headed.
“In my dream the angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ And I replied, ‘Here I am.’ Then he said, ‘Look up! See, all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you. I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.’” Then Rachel and Leah replied, “Do we still have any share in the inheritance of our father’s estate? (Genesis 31:11-14)
Originally, they were of one mind. Jacob said these things, hoping that Rachel and Leah could be of one mind with him. Actually, he did not do less of this work usually, and he usually showed Rachel and Leah that he was a faithful husband. People who are not clear-headed cannot talk about faith; how can someone whose brain is like mush have faith?
Surely he regards us as foreigners, for not only has he sold us, but he has used up what was paid for us. In fact, all the wealth that God has taken away from our father belongs to us and our children. So do whatever God has told you.” (Genesis 31:15-16)
He passed the first level, clear-headed. After Laban caught up and searched through their tents, Jacob said:
Jacob was angry and rebuked Laban. “What is my crime? What is my sin that you hunt me down like this? Now that you have searched through all my goods, what have you found that belongs to your household? Put it here in front of your relatives and mine, and let them judge between us. “This twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and female goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks. I did not bring you the sheep torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss myself. And you demanded payment from me for whatever was stolen by day or stolen by night. (Genesis 31:36-39)
Didn’t I, Jacob, remember what you did? I knew! I was clear-headed, but it did not affect my work.
This was my life: The heat consumed me by day and the cold by night, and sleep fled from my eyes. This twenty years I was in your household; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, and you changed my wages ten times. If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my toil, and last night He rebuked you.” (Genesis 31:40-42)
Jacob simply didn’t care about going away empty-handed; it was God who cared about him going away empty-handed. How could God allow His beloved Jacob to go away empty-handed? God saw Jacob's affliction, not embezzling, not taking advantage of Laban. But Laban was too ruthless; he was a thorough capitalist, wanting to squeeze Jacob dry, not leaving a drop of blood, and even wanting to harm him. As a result, God saw his affliction. Today, brothers and sisters, you must know, if a person is filled with the knowledge of God in his understanding, you will know that God reigns, God will surely protect us, and God will surely seize these things and bestow them upon us! If a person is not clear-headed, muddled, then when they should have faith, they have no faith; when they should lie down, they cannot lie down; when they should get up, they cannot get up, then that’s troublesome!
So, a spiritual person is clear-headed. I will never embezzle; these are mine, these are what God has seized and given to me. Who did Jacob say that to? He said that to his wives. Did God seize them and give them to him? Yes! But when Jacob spoke to Laban, he said: God has seen my affliction and my toil, and He rebuked you last night. Jacob didn't say that God seized Laban's things and gave them to him. If he said that, Laban would be furious. One cannot provoke Laban. At this time, Laban could not withstand such provocation. If Jacob said to Laban: God has already seized your things and given them to me! Then he narrowed his eyes, showing off, Laban would be furious, and Jacob would get beaten, wouldn't he? It's not acceptable to not be clear-headed. As a result, Laban had no choice but to say: What can I do? I can’t do anything, let’s go! So, one must know how to speak.
Nine, Principle Five: Do Not Be Shy
I find that many people are often bound by morality. When some people make a mistake, they say: Sorry, I’m embarrassed! Hey, what's there to be embarrassed about? Sometimes when we do a project, and people don't pay us, I say: Go tell them, they still owe me money. They say: That’s so embarrassing! What's there to be embarrassed about? Hey, you owe me money, you have to pay me back, it's mine, what am I embarrassed about? If Jacob said to Laban: God has seized your sheep and given them to me, Laban, I’m embarrassed! Are you embarrassed with God? If you do that, it’s bad!
Are there many people among us who are embarrassed? If they don’t give it to you, you feel uncomfortable; if they give it to you, you are still embarrassed. I have no embarrassment. God seized it and gave it to me, take it! If you don't take it, what are you waiting for? If you say: God, these sheep used to be Laban’s, they were white yesterday, and they’ve grown a bit today! What are you embarrassed about? Those among us who are embarrassed must change. What God gives you, you take it well! So, some brothers and sisters among us don’t know my mentality. What is my mentality? All of mine is given to me by God, nothing to be embarrassed about.
Some people say: Pastor, I want to contribute this. Okay, I won't be polite with you. You contribute to God, why should I be polite with you? Because my logic is very clear, my mind is very clear: you contribute to God, you are blessed, why should I be polite with you? Why should I hinder people's blessings? So, God seizes it, okay; steals away, okay! What's the problem? You say: Oh, how embarrassing, notify Laban, come and kill me! Are you crazy? I tell you, many Christians live in the bondage of morality. Actually, our God doesn't focus too much on morality. If He focused on morality, that would be troublesome!
What about Laban's remaining sheep? No one cares, okay! If there are no sheep left with speckles, then take them all away, no need to leave any behind. If there are any left, you say: Who will watch Laban’s remaining sheep? Rachel, you come and watch them; Leah, you come and watch them. Still embarrassed? Actually, I tell you, no need to be embarrassed. You need to be clear-headed. You need to know what people are planning to do, they want to harm you, God wants to protect you, God wants to lead you back to your father's house, to the promised land. What is there to be embarrassed about? Pushing back and forth, saying: God, you bless me, I am so embarrassed! I just feel like there is something wrong with my brain. People can't be foolish. Don’t say a string of sorry and a string of embarrassed. We don't do things that harm heaven and reason, but what God seizes and gives us, take it unreservedly!
The land of Canaan is the promised land. How did they get in? They drove the people of that place out with swords and guns. If you are embarrassed, God will be embarrassed with you. Saul killed all the Amalekites, but he felt that was too embarrassing, so he kept King Agag. You keep King Agag to bring him into the harem? What for? Just to stir up trouble? God especially hates this kind of person! If you are embarrassed, you will not be able to draw on God's promises. God wants to seize what is in the hands of the looted enemies and give it to you. You must not play the game of being embarrassed with God, happily take it and thank our God!
Ten, Summary
God's presence is infinitely good! If you value God’s presence, and you have mastered the fundamental principles of God, I believe that in your lifetime, God will seize things from others and bestow them upon you! Maybe it’s your uncle's things, God seizes them and gives them to you; maybe it's your father's things, God seizes them and gives them to you. It’s okay, normal! Why? Because our God is such a God. We prepare ourselves to receive the grace and blessings bestowed by God, Amen! In the days to come, everyone should be blessed again in finances, because that is God plundering the devil and the enemy, to bestow these things upon you!
Let's sing a hymn, preparing to receive today’s offering. If you do not understand the meaning of offering, please do not contribute! If you say: Teacher, I’m contributing, look at how much money I'm contributing. You contribute, you are blessed. I don't value people's contributions, I value people's growth in Jesus Christ; I don't value people's money, I value God's presence, I value God leading us to victory, plundering the enemy! Today, we will experience more of God’s presence, experience more of God’s glory, prepare to receive such grace, and you will see with your own eyes how God blesses you.
Let's lift up our hands and pray: Lord Jesus, I want to be the Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob of this generation. I long for Your presence, I long for Your glory. God, lead me to victory today, plunder the enemy, and the blessings taken away by the enemy, I want to be repaid double! In the name of Jesus Christ, I want to be blessed in finances, I want to be blessed in health, I want to see Your presence with my own eyes. God, I want to imitate Jacob, carefully keeping and obeying Your words, entering to possess the land. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen!
