【Bible Study】Lamentations 3 - You have veiled yourself with anger and pursued us, you have slain without pity

2025-10-26 24 Lamentations

Introduction

Good morning. This sermon presents a formidable challenge, even for myself. I have been reading Jeremiah, Lamentations Chapter 3, every day from last Sunday to this Sunday, and I confess, I struggled to grasp its meaning. I thought, I am no slouch when it comes to reading, yet I could not make head or tail of it. What is it about? A jumble of disjointed thoughts, isn't it? One moment there seems to be faith in God, the next, doubt, and then something else entirely. After reading, I was left utterly bewildered, unable to find any coherence.

So, what is the central theme of Lamentations Chapter 3? "He has walled me about so that I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains." Hearing this, one might question, is this still Christianity? Is this the God we believe in? If you ask me, I am tempted to ask myself the same question. But our God is indeed like this, within us, we must understand that our God is truly like this, inflicting slaughter without leniency, a fact borne out by reality.

I wrestled with this for a week, pondering deeply. How did I arrive at this theme? I asked, "God, what do you want to convey to us through this chapter?" Remarkably, following this line of inquiry proved fruitful. When reading the Bible, it is crucial to discern what God intends to communicate. If you fail to grasp God's message, trouble ensues. If you only read what you desire to read, problems arise.

If you read only what you want to read, it is detrimental. "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Do you desire Jeremiah's "new"? Jeremiah, beaten black and blue, then thrown into prison, later cast into a sewer, the mire engulfing his head. Terrifying. My goodness, suffocating. Do you desire that "new"? Therefore, we cannot approach the Bible in such a manner.

God's perspective is paramount; your perspective is inconsequential. How vast is the difference between human and divine perspectives? Humans see these things and exclaim, "Oh God, why?" God retorts, "I should be asking you why!" Indeed, once people form their own opinions, it becomes exceedingly difficult to receive God's perspective. Therefore, remember the theme of this sermon: God Himself, shrouded in wrath, inflicts slaughter without pity. Examine yourselves to see if you are among those who receive no pity.

I tell you, God's perspective is that whether one lives to ten, twenty, or a hundred, death renders all the same, all the same. God's view is that human life on earth is utterly vain, devoid of meaning. Do you understand? This is God's perspective, akin to how we view ants scurrying about busily on the ground. What then is man's perspective? Accumulating wealth for oneself cannot save your life, but man's perspective differs.

Therefore, human perspectives are entirely natural, worldly, and carnal. You are born as a lump of flesh, gradually growing from this flesh, with increasing indulgence of the flesh, increasing discernment of good and evil, and an increasing love for the world. This contrasts sharply with God's perspective. God's perspective is: "You are increasing daily? I will show you a thing or two; I will unleash a little of my wrath."

Thus, those who see through the world are exceedingly rare. I long for our brothers and sisters to see through it, to gain some insight through Lamentations Chapter 3, to cease striving so intensely. A brother once came among us, out of deference to his boss, who was a believer. His boss came because his daughter, 28 years old, had cancer and died tragically. I ministered to him.

What was he thinking? "My daughter, 28 years old, worked hard, a good employee." But being a good employee cannot stave off God's wrath, can it? A good employee is simply one who loves the world well, right? And you know what? He said, "She never even had a passionate love affair before she died." See how powerful worldly values are? People are filled with such things.

People look at this vast world, dizzy and confused, sometimes even envious, aren't we? But one generation passes away, and another generation comes, and human perspectives differ entirely from God's. About last year, the four major families in Myanmar celebrated a grand birthday, a spectacle of splendor. But what was the result? The four families engaged in telecom fraud, earning money and taking lives.

There was the harvesting of kidneys, livers, and even heads. In our time, we heard of those defrauded, and we deeply loathed the swindlers. "God, when will you intervene?" He did, didn't He? This year, the four families were completely destroyed. Where is the arrogance now? Where is the glory? Gone, all gone. The granddaughter, in her twenties, sentenced to death.

I tell you, many people die without understanding how they died. We must begin now to understand that people die because of their own worldly logic. That worldly logic naturally invites God's wrath. When God's wrath is revealed and descends, I dare say none will escape, none at all, ending in tragedy.

A sister came among us some years ago. Yesterday, her pastor shared her story with me. She had been in the church for many years, even working in administration. In my terms, she had gone astray. Her child wet the bed, even when quite old, and no treatment seemed to work. One master and divine healer after another came, but to no avail. Then came another master, aiming to build a world-renowned ministry, staying in her home, but the bedwetting persisted.

Then you know what happened? She had a very close sister, who shared visions and dreams with her daily. Wow, a truly spiritual image, seeing her was like seeing the spiritual world. But what happened? Our sister took her bedwetting son to her, but it did not work. You see Jesus every day, but you cannot even fix bedwetting.

Finally, after searching and searching, they came to us, and the child's bedwetting improved significantly. Why? Because bedwetting is Old Horse, and Old Horse and I have a good relationship. Some say, how do you have a good relationship with Old Horse? We often meet on the battlefield, evenly matched, so we have a good relationship. Old Horse is somewhat subdued by me.

If you really go to the spiritual realm and chat with Old Horse, he still admires me. Why? Because he has nothing in me. Although I am still striving, I must tell you, worldly and carnal things have no hold on me. I do not love living as much as many others do, do I? I do not love money as much as many others do. I do not aspire to be a famous pastor, nor do I want to grow big and strong and then end up in jail. I simply want to walk well in God's word and will.

As for her very spiritual good sister, years passed in a blink, and recently she contracted blood cancer, quite severe. She came to our sister, who beat around the bush eighteen times, afraid to touch her pride. I tell you, Christians have strong pride, more important to them than God's word.

Beating around the bush eighteen times, she weakly shared that this thing is called a curse. Oh no, she stirred up a hornet's nest. "You are cursed!" This reaction was not the first time our sister had experienced it, but according to our ministry experience, what is cancer if not a curse? Having cancer and still not knowing that you have not done things right, not knowing that you are a vessel of God's wrath, manifesting wrath. Not knowing to fear God, nor knowing that God does not really care about killing one more.

Many people read God's word but do not accept it at all. I tell you, although the Israelites received the Five Books of Moses from Moses, and later had the prophet Samuel, and the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others, the history of Israel is a history of provoking God's wrath.

God Himself, shrouded in wrath, inflicts slaughter without pity. So, from the day the Israelites left Egypt, they were a nation provoking God's wrath. Is that terrifying or not? From the day Christians believe in the Lord, are they walking the old path of the Israelites? Too tragic, too tragic. Many Christians die without knowing how they died, dying with self-righteousness.

What God cares about, people do not care about. What people care about, God does not care about. This is deadly. God cares about what you do not care about, you care about what God does not care about. What do you do? That is too much trouble, there is no way to listen to God's word. So, after reading Jeremiah Chapter 3, it is difficult to understand Jeremiah, suffering so much, why does God not intervene?

Jeremiah kept proclaiming God's judgment, but the Israelites did not listen, nor could they listen. The nation had already been taken captive to Babylon once, and they were still resisting God. There was one problem: what God cared about, the Israelites did not care about; what God did not care about, people cared about. That is the whole story. God does not really care if people suffer a little more, nor does He care if people endure a little more sin, even if you are Jeremiah, even if you are Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters must know that even if you are Jesus Christ, walking the cross, suffering death, burial, God does not care. Why? The reason is very simple. God abhors sin. You ask me what sin is? Sin is loving the world, indulging the flesh, discerning good and evil. I have highly summarized and concluded sin. Loving the world, did you kill someone? You did not kill someone. Did you set fire? You did not set fire, but you love the world.

If you love the world, love money, the love of God is not in you. These three things highly summarize and conclude human sin. Look at people's views, their views on living are all worldly. God's hatred of sin is manifested in how you love the world, how you indulge the flesh, how you discern good and evil. God will manifest His wrath accordingly, even if you die, God does not really care.

The views inside people determine whether we receive God's wrath or God's joy. If the views inside us are of God, we care about what God cares about, then you will surely be used by God. Although you may suffer some sin in service, it is with God's glory. The sin that Jeremiah suffered has God's glory to speak of. The sin that Jesus Christ suffered for us has glory to speak of.

What glory does cancer have to speak of? Oh, I tell you, cancer is terrifying. Yesterday, a brother shared with me that a colleague of his had lung cancer. During the surgery, they took a basin of cancer cells out of his chest cavity. Oh my goodness, a basin, how much sin must he have suffered? Later, he died.

God's hatred of sin is beyond our imagination, God also turns His face away from Jesus Christ, will He care about you? He does not really care. If you stiffen your neck, then stiffen it, let us see who is stiffer, God or you. If people in the world do not know that living is vanity of vanities, it is a tragedy.

Some time ago, when we were studying Ecclesiastes, we said a sentence, I said that before Genesis should be Ecclesiastes. The vanity of vanities spoken of in Ecclesiastes is a very important foundation. If living is vanity of vanities, I ask you, dying at ten, dying at twenty, dying at thirty, dying at fifty, dying at eighty, there is no difference. You say it is different, then you think it is different, I think it is all the same.

So, the more people want to seek to live, the more they will die. Why do you want to seek to live? You say who does not want to live? Here is someone who does not want to live, because I do not want to live, when I was very young I said, living is really boring, let us die. But I cannot die, some people always want to live, treating this and treating that, and finally treating themselves to death.

Some years ago, I was driving a sister home when she shared about her husband's younger brother having nosebleeds. I then shared my own symptoms when I had nosebleeds. After comparing notes, I realised my symptoms were exactly the same as his. Wouldn't most people be alarmed? Her husband's brother was the same age as me, with the same symptoms. After examination, it turned out to be leukemia.

I didn't get checked; I didn't quite trust the check-up, didn't quite trust the doctors. If doctors could cure, then we'd trust them, right? But even if doctors cure, it's just a matter of probability. Some get better without treatment. Nine months later, his brother was lying in a coffin, and I attended the funeral.

His face was visible through the glass window. Unlike in China, where the body is just laid out, in Singapore, the lid is closed to prevent odour. My goodness, there he was lying. I thought, "Brother, you're lying here, and I'm standing outside. Didn't you want to live? You couldn't even live. I don't want to live; why would I seek treatment?"

So, people's view of life is crucial. If you desperately want to live, you might die faster. The reason is simple: it's called a worldly mindset. Therefore, one's mindset is very important. To me, life is vanity of vanities. Living one more day or one less day makes no difference.

If you live so earnestly and then develop a tumor, and you desperately want to live, then seek treatment. Pray to me while seeking treatment. Remember, the mindset of desperately wanting to live comes from the spirit of death. Because living in this world is actually without hope; dying sooner or later is the same. If one has a Godly mindset, if I live in this world with a Godly mindset, then it's not so easy to die.

So, brothers and sisters, know God. God, shrouded in His own anger, inflicts slaughter without pity. It's because people's worldly mindset is too strong. So, I want to dismantle the worldly logic within everyone. There are so many worldly logics; the entire Bible speaks of these. In Matthew, it's called two kingdoms, two logical systems, two sets of values.

If you listen to my Bible study, last Friday's "Nehemiah's Way to Wealth," if you look at it with worldly logic, you won't understand it. Because Nehemiah's logic is Godly logic. So, the question arises: with worldly logic, can you get what you want? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. But with Godly logic, you lack nothing good.

So, brothers and sisters, know that living in a worldly logical system, one is naturally subject to God's striking. It's not that God is bad. If you say He's bad, there's nothing you can do about it, is there? I want to tell you, God is such a God. People are killed by their own sins, killed by the love of the world, by indulging the flesh. If you see God striking people, it's these people.

Scripture

You have wrapped yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slaughtered without pity. You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through. (Lamentations 3:43-44)

Prayer

God, open our eyes, let us know You, let us know Your anger. Let us know how to change ourselves under Your wrath, let our hearts turn back to You, let us care about what You care about, completely destroy the worldly logical system within us. Act according to Your will, so that we may be saved from Your wrath.

Let us be filled with Your words, let us live by Your words. Let us escape Your wrath, lest we perish, let us understand Your logic, understand Your words. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

When Jeremiah wrote Lamentations, Jerusalem had already been broken by the iron hooves of Babylon, besieged for a year and a half. When Jerusalem was besieged, these soldiers seemed particularly patriotic, particularly ambitious: "I will resist the Japanese devils, I will resist the Babylonian devils." Doesn't that sound good? Right? Yue Fei loved his country, resisting the elite troops. How great, but God may not see it that way.

Jeremiah was in the city all day saying, "Surrender! Surrender! These are the Babylonian devils sent by God." What happened? The soldiers thought, "Aren't you disrupting morale?" The Israelite soldiers heard that this was sent by God, the prophet Jeremiah was shouting there, so they arrested him and put him in prison.

As a result, they beat Jeremiah up, his face was bruised and swollen. Oh my goodness, his face was bruised and swollen, you understand, his eyes were like pandas. The next day, Jeremiah, with panda eyes, was again saying, "Surrender! Surrender!" This made the regimental commanders, division commanders, and army commanders angry, disrupting morale. They threw him into the sewer. Threw him into the mud in the sewer.

Oh, I tell you, that stench. As a result, they put him in the sewer, and the stench was going to suffocate him. But King Zedekiah said, "Quickly save him, quickly save him." Then after a while, he invited Jeremiah to his palace, "Tell me the truth." Jeremiah said, "If I tell the truth, will you not kill me? They threw me into the sewer." "I won't kill you, I guarantee I won't kill you, tell me the truth." The truth is you have to surrender.

The king heard this, "Difficult, how difficult." Right? "I may not even have military power. If I let them surrender, won't they throw me into the sewer too? Although I am a king, I am not too far from the sewer." Thinking about it, surrender is so difficult. Do you all know that politics is very complicated? Don't think that you are the king and you have the final say.

That is a worldly logical system, binding people tightly. People, ah, living is really not easy. Start a company, start making mobile phones. "Oh, making mobile phones, what if I get sanctioned? I want to start making chips." "No, I want to make cars." Making cars, it never ends. Later you say, "I don't want to do it anymore," but it's not okay. All are tied together, like a net binding people tightly. Zedekiah was also like this.

So, Jeremiah actually suffered a lot for speaking God's words. But he still insisted on speaking God's words. This is what we find difficult to understand. Already beaten black and blue, before the swelling subsided, he was thrown into the sewer. We don't quite understand this spiritual height.

I can tell you, if you want to become a prophet of God, there is a prerequisite: you have to see through life and death. See through the trivial matters of people's lives. Anyway, that's how it is. I came out of my mother's womb, and I didn't even agree to be brought down. If I'm brought down, then I'm brought down. From now on, I will live with such values. I live to live for God, I am willing to suffer.

Was Jeremiah not suffering? Beaten black and blue, thrown into the sewer tomorrow, put in prison for a while. "I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of his wrath." This is the rod of wrath, manifested on the Israelites, Jeremiah is no exception.

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath; he has driven and brought me into darkness without any light; surely against me he turns his hand again and again the whole day long. He has made me dwell in darkness like the dead of long ago. (Lamentations 3:1-3)

These sufferings were added to Jeremiah by God. Why were they added to Jeremiah? Not for others, it's just that the inner pain is indescribable. Saying this for a while, saying that for a while. So, I read Lamentations chapter 3, and I didn't finish reading it in a week, I was confused by Jeremiah.

I tell you, if a person's hope is not in this world, when God's word comes to me, I say: "Suffer," then fulfill God's Mingding Doctrine in us, even if tears flow like a river, we will not hesitate. This is a concept of living. The prophet proclaims God's word, and later Jeremiah became the laughingstock of Israel. They composed a song, "What are you crying about? No ambition." Jeremiah cries, "What are you crying about? What are you choking on?" Jeremiah became a laughingstock, proclaiming God's word, becoming the laughingstock of people.

I tell you, God sent prophets, they were killed. Then He sent another prophet, and he was killed again. Later He sent His son, and he was killed too. This became a sign of people's destruction. Remember, why do prophets suffer? The suffering of the prophets, the killing of Jesus, shows how evil the logical system of this world is.

I can tell you, a Christian, filled with a worldly logical system, even if Jesus comes, you are the one who is killing Jesus. Jesus was not killed by others, Jesus was killed by the worldly logical system. Why? Because it blocked these people's path to wealth. Blocking people's path to wealth is like killing their parents.

Two kingdoms, two sets of values, two logical systems. Living in a worldly logical system, you don't even know how you died. Living in a Godly logical system is living for God's Mingding Doctrine in us, and also dying for this Mingding Doctrine. Thank God. I tell you, this passage is about this. What should be highlighted? To highlight what kind of God God is, the rest is that we must strive to choose, to see whether we choose the worldly or the Godly.

The Suffering of the Prophets Reveals the Sin of Man

Those military commanders, to defend the country, to resist the Babylonian devils, are they wrong? Tell me, are they wrong? No, right? If people come to attack our country, is it wrong for us to stand up? From a human perspective, there is no problem, you are a hero, right? You are a hero. But to the Babylonian devils, you are a coward. We people are like this in the world, what's the point? It's all worldly things. Remember, worldly things are naturally provoking God's anger.

I think we brothers and sisters must know that Jesus Christ and all the prophets are abused in this generation for proclaiming God's word, it's normal. Sometimes I think, "Oh, God, if this happens to me, it's a bit difficult." If you want me to tell people, "You are all wrong, you must believe in Chinese Mingding Doctrine..." I won't say it, what am I saying that for? Wouldn't I be beaten up? Right? I'd slip away.

Actually, the problem is that throughout the ages, prophets cannot die outside Jerusalem. What is Jerusalem? It is the church. If you are in the church, to resist the worldly logical system, you will also be persecuted. I thank God, I put what I say on the website, listen if you listen, ignore it if you don't, they can't come to me from afar. If they spray me on the internet, then let them spray. So, you think what we say can be widely accepted? It's difficult. Not to mention widely accepted, it's good enough not to be destroyed.

So, prophets are naturally going to challenge the logical system of this world; prophets are naturally going to pay the price for this; prophets are naturally going to challenge this worldly religious system. Let's talk about whether the church should participate in these politics of the world. Many people participate in politics, supporting this president and that president, and then they are shot, assassinated, and they think they are martyred.

There are two groups of Christians, one group martyred, the other tearing each other apart. What is the point of all this? Throughout history, politics has always been of the world. The logic of the world is very tight, but God's words are also recorded in the Bible. Why are there so many different interpretations? Some people interpret God as Santa Claus, giving gifts to everyone.

People are punished for their own sins

"How can a living man complain, when punished for his sins?" (Lamentations 3:39)

You get cancer and blame heaven and earth. You get a disease that prevents you from eating and blame heaven and earth. You suffer a lot of sins from this disease and that disease. But you never blame the worldly logic within yourself. The reason is simple: this thing is too tight. No matter how you think about it, you can't see what's wrong with it, right?

Let me explain one thing to you. For example, I have to have money to live. I have to pay rent and mortgage next month, so I have to have money. How can I get money? I have to go to work and get paid. Can you challenge this? Don't I have to be afraid of my boss when I go to work? I have to be afraid of my boss. These worldly things steal God's share. Are you really afraid of your boss? Are you afraid of your job? Or are you afraid of God? This is too difficult, isn't it?

Am I challenging everyone's bottom line a bit? So people are punished for their own sins. Trust in God! Trust in God! Can this person survive? For example, if you are an official now, can you survive without corruption? How can you survive in that system without corruption? It's too difficult.

So it is too difficult for people to come out of this worldly logic. This is precisely why it is so difficult to overcome the old self. Who is not afraid of death? Who doesn't want to live? This worldly logic is difficult to break, but these are sins.

So listen carefully to the three things I always talk about. Love the world? What if you don't love the world? Indulge the flesh? What if you don't indulge the flesh? Discern good and evil? If I don't discern good and evil, I will lose my standard of judgment. So people are punished for their own sins. The Israelites were punished because they lived in that set of worldly logic.

Think about the high priests at that time, cutting up the temple into several pieces, renting out many small stalls, making rental properties. When people came to offer sacrifices, there were places to exchange money, places to exchange pigeons, places to exchange sheep, and places to exchange everything. Why wouldn't I make money if I could? I even think this method is good, renting out. Why rent out? It can share some of the operating costs of the temple. Think about it, right? I have to do this. I almost fell into this pit. I have to do some business to support the church. This is so terrible and scary. You can easily fall into the logic of the world and provoke God's anger.

So work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Later, I tried to pull myself to this side. The church is supported by God. The church is the body of Jesus Christ. The church must make an agreement with God. The church must become a blessing to many people. The church is not short of money. Is it difficult? It's very difficult.

Once I met a person from Henan who loved the Lord very much. He wanted to earn a lot of money to support these poor preachers. As a result, he didn't support the preachers well, and he lost his money and his business went bankrupt. Then every night at one o'clock, something called him to get up and pray for his money. Then he called me at one o'clock in the middle of the night and said, "Help me pray for my money." I said, "Pray for your money? I've never heard of this before." He said, "The Holy Spirit wakes me up every night at one o'clock and tells me to pray for my money."

People don't even know how they die. It sounds so reasonable. People are punished for their own sins. The Israelites loved their country very much, and they loved the temple very much, and they wanted to make some contributions to God in the temple. I want to defend God's temple. It sounds great, but they don't know that Babylon was brought by God Himself, not only to destroy Israel and Judah, but also to destroy the temple!

So I said that God was covered by His own anger, carrying out slaughter without pity. God will not only destroy Israel and Judah, but also destroy His own temple and His own altar. People are punished for their own sins. God doesn't care about these trivial matters.

God does not forgive people's sins and rebellion

"We have transgressed and rebelled; you have not forgiven." (Lamentations 3:42)

We have transgressed and rebelled, and you have not forgiven. Doesn't this make you upset after hearing it? Not forgiven. Why not forgiven? How can you be forgiven if you live in the worldly logic? How can you be forgiven if you don't repent? People sin and then rebel. Am I wrong to do this? God, why do you treat us like this? Is there a problem with what I'm doing?

I want to guard Jerusalem, I want to guard your temple, I want to live and die with your temple. Oh my God, it seems like he is really needed. Who needs you to live and die with them? Just listen to Jeremiah's words. If you don't listen to Jeremiah's words, you will get the goal completely wrong.

Jeremiah is a false prophet. He said, "Let us surrender to Babylon. I want to protect your temple." Oh my God, everything is completely wrong. Remember not to rebel. God doesn't care about these things. God cares about people's hearts. The worldly logic in people's hearts is very tight and very difficult to destroy. Only by completely destroying it and then building a logic based on God's words can you understand.

Otherwise, you can't understand God's words with worldly concepts. It's very difficult to understand. If you look carefully at the words in the Bible, it's very difficult to understand with worldly logic. So people sin, and God does not forgive rebellion. If you sin, repent, and build on the foundation of God's words, then God will forgive you. We brothers and sisters must know that rebellion is very evil. Is what you believe in the word of God?

Chinese Mingding Doctrine never believes that we have the truth. We work hard to seek the truth. If we have ten points of strength, we will use twelve points of strength. We use all our strength, wholeheartedly, and do our best. One hundred and twenty percent of our strength, we strive to know God. If we already know God, we already have the truth, then we don't need to seek it anymore. Wouldn't that become God's wrath?

You carry out slaughter without pity

If you observe carefully, out of the 600,000 Israelites, only Joshua and Caleb entered Canaan. The others were killed by God in the wilderness. How ruthless! When Korah rebelled, the ground cracked and swallowed them up. How did it crack and how did it swallow them up? Let's not study this. I'm not an archaeologist.

God kills people like flies. I think, did God kill more people than Hitler? That's not because of anything else, but because of people's own sins. People are punished for their own sins. God does not forgive people's sins and rebellion. If you are afraid of what I am saying, you should be afraid. The tragedy of a person's life is like this. So from now on, get rid of those seemingly reasonable and natural logics in our hearts. Because that is not the word of God, it is all human self-righteousness.

Last night, a sister sent me a message. She said, "I can't be confused when I get old. Being confused when I get old is like my mother." She said to her husband, "Will I be like my mother when I get old?" Her husband said, "You don't have to wait until you get old. You already are." Oh my God. She already is and still thinks she is good. It's very strange how people see themselves, like looking in a funhouse mirror.

I think people should often reflect on whether they are stubborn. If they are, they should change quickly. Before God carries out slaughter, don't go this way. Don't study hard in elementary school, don't study hard in middle school, and then you can't get into college, and you wonder why you can't get in? What were you doing before? Living, not working hard at twenty, not working hard at thirty, and then you don't have money to spend at forty, you don't have a job, and you wonder why you are like this.

Never walk into sin, and never insist that you are right when you sin, rebellion. Once you get there, all that's left is God carrying out slaughter without pity. So don't go there, understand? Don't wait until you are at the end of your rope and unable to turn back before you regret it.

Before you get those difficult diseases, you have actually walked a long way. Never care about your own feelings, care about God's logic. Before you get to the end of the road, quickly change lanes, quickly turn around and walk towards blessing, knowing that you didn't do it right.

Because of the destruction of my people, my eyes flow with rivers of tears

"Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed. My eyes will flow unceasingly, without relief, until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees." (Lamentations 3:48-50)

It is not easy to be a prophet. These bastards put him in prison and beat him black and blue. In the end, these people brought destruction upon themselves. But the prophet still prayed for them, prayed for them and shed many tears. As a result, what happened? As a result, they wrote a song and said to Jeremiah, "Why are you sobbing? Why are you crying? You are crooked and cross-eyed." It makes people angry to see.

Tears flow like rivers. I am also a crybaby. I am really sad. Some brothers and sisters, I don't dare to say it too harshly. Saying it too harshly is not only useless, but also has side effects. Saying it too lightly is not enough. It's difficult. I just watch people run wildly on the road of their own sins, and then rebel after sinning.

After rebelling, they begin to encounter God's anger and God's disasters. My heart is so bitter, I want to cry. But this is the prophet's fate. Before people get there, they start to shout wildly, shouting madly. Don't go this way, turn back to God, don't be destroyed. Jeremiah is weeping, calling out to the people of Israel, because our God is full of abundant grace and mercy. As long as we turn back to God, we will reject these sins. But the Israelites mocked Jeremiah instead.

"I have become the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long." (Lamentations 3:14)

"See how I am mocked by my enemies, mocked in song all day long." (Lamentations 3:63)

Jeremiah, why are you sobbing? Why are you crying? You are useless. This song was created for Jeremiah. But Jeremiah intercedes for the people of the world. Are we moved? Slaughter is without pity. Aren't we being punished by God? Brothers and sisters, be a little softer in your hearts, so that the prophet's tears will not be shed in vain, okay?

When we mention Deuteronomy, we must know that good and evil do not come from the mouth of the Most High? The Most High, good and evil, life and death, you choose for yourselves. Moses called out to the heavens and the earth in Deuteronomy, bearing witness to the Israelites, making a choice between good and evil, life and death. How did you choose?

It's not that there is no road to blessing, it's not all roads to slaughter. It's that people walk into slaughter. One road is to suffer slaughter, and God does not pity. It doesn't matter if a few more die, it doesn't matter if a few less die. The other road is the road to blessing. We must break away from this worldly logic, with the pursuit of the crown of glory in eternity, and be blessed in God's presence, and we will also receive the crown of glory.

Our sermon is over here. May God bless everyone.
