I. Introduction
Good day to everyone! Today, I am presenting another paper to you. I have made a monumental discovery, something quite remarkable. I hope someone will award me a prize for it. If there is an award, it must be the award from Jesus Christ. And if Jesus Christ hands me the microphone, I will say, I thank my God! For God often reveals His truth to us. Today’s topic is, Why are there man-eating giants in the Promised Land?
Today's topic is a continuation of the Wisdom and Understanding Series. If you are often confused, it is because you lack wisdom and understanding! Today, I will share with you my latest findings and research results once again. How can there be man-eating giants in the Promised Land? It is incomprehensible without wisdom and understanding. There are many things that man cannot understand. God created man well, so why did He put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden? Isn't that asking for trouble? You don't understand it, and neither do I. In earlier years, after reading about it, I thought it would have been fine if God hadn't created it. Isn't that just making trouble? Later, I understood, because I knew how wondrous God's work is!
Why are there man-eating giants in those promised lands? God even sent spies to go in and see, and after they saw, they came back and said there were man-eating giants. Did God know they would say this? Of course, God knew! And those who could not enter the Promised Land all perished in the wilderness, slain by God in the wilderness! Can you understand that? Difficult to understand, right? Now you must understand. You must know God and understand His works! If people do not think from God's perspective, do not know God's works, and do not understand God's plan, it is very perplexing. Have you noticed that when people slightly tidy up their faith and want to be victorious, that's it! Giants will appear before you. The difficulties are enormous, so people must understand God's plan. To know the Lord is wisdom, and the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. It is a tragedy for people not to fear God! Do you think that if you are well today, you will be well tomorrow? You don't know. But those who fear God lack no good thing!
Someone types and asks, what are giants? They are more than three meters tall in the Promised Land; two meters doesn't count. They are huge in size. The guns they hold are like axles. Those are giants. It is a tragedy for people not to fear God and not to know God! Relying on human's small brains, which are shaped like pumpkins. Some people don’t know what a pumpkin is. With your little pumpkin head, and still being self-righteous, do you think you can do anything? You can't do anything. You are always smaller than the difficulties you encounter. Isn't that right? Still being self-righteous? Isn't that a tragedy! People can't even say for sure what they will encounter in their lives! Some people drive happily, and then they disappear. Because the highway collapsed, bang! They fell down. Dozens of cars fell down. They were fine one day, and gone the next. Where did they go? They went on a long vacation! So, what people say doesn't count. How many things can people say for sure? Why don't people fear God! It is truly ignorance!
Yesterday, I was ministering to a sister who is a person with a bit of a temper, a very big temper. She is much better now because she knows God, so she lives very healthily. She is over 70 years old and has no fear inside. She discussed with me how many people are making arrangements for retirement, but she is not making any arrangements. We are very grateful to God. What if we get old? There is no need to arrange anything when we get old. Can't God solve the problem of retirement? God can solve it. So, I comforted her with God's promise. With God, there is no need to worry. Until we are taken away by God, we will be able to take care of ourselves. Do you believe that? What if we can't take care of ourselves? What if we can't take care of ourselves? Then fast and pray for 80 days, and there's no need to worry about it. So, trust in God well. How wonderful.
My mother's waist, according to the X-rays, the doctor said it should have been a paralyzed waist, but she was able to move freely until she died. I am truly grateful to God! She raised a son like me, a son with a heart that trusts in God. My mother used to think she would rely on my sister for retirement, but when she lived with my sister, they were in a love-hate relationship! Does everyone understand what a love-hate relationship is? My mother said it was like fish helping water and water helping fish. People only think about themselves. When did they ever think about your retirement? Although they are your own children, they are not reliable. They only care about the money in my mother's pocket. What a lament!
Later, my mother lived alone, and she lived happily in those later years. Sometimes I took her around. How wonderful! So, can't God solve such a small problem? If such a small problem cannot be solved, is He still God? Moreover, we live in the flesh by the Word of God and by the promises of God. We will surely take hold of God's promises! But when we try to take hold of God's promises, we will find that there are giants ahead, huge obstacles. So, today’s topic is about this. What should we do? Trust in God! Even giants cannot stop God's will! God will surely deliver the giants into our hands and trample them under our feet! Do you believe that? Until today, whenever I cast out demons, the demons never did anything to me. I always get rid of the demons. Thank God!
Yesterday, I quoted scripture and asked our brothers and sisters, if we cannot defeat these giants, who will defeat us? They said God would defeat us. Choose one of the two options: either defeat the giants and take hold of God's promises or be defeated by God and die in the wilderness. I tell you that dying in the wilderness means being slain by God. Don't be confused. God is the God who brings you into the Promised Land. God is the God who makes you victorious. Do you believe that? If you believe that, you will surely enter the Promised Land. In the past years, after building the church for so many years, every time the church experienced a major breakthrough, it had to go through a life-and-death struggle. Every time we want to obtain the new Promised Land that God has given us, we face a life-or-death battle, facing giants. I tell you, they are truly man-eating giants! They are truly man-eating difficulties. In Acts 14:22, it says:
We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
If you don't want to experience hardships, then that's troublesome. Being a Christian should be better than being Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong knew that he had to go through eighty-one tribulations to get the scriptures in the West, and he was victorious every time. Are we Christians who trust in God not as good as Sun Wukong? Isn't that right? So, today we must know that we do not enter the Promised Land peacefully. We imagine how wonderful it would be: Ah, wearing flip-flops, a big sleeveless T-shirt. And holding a bunch of keys in your hand, looking like a landlord or a landlady. Of course, they don't use keys anymore; they all use password locks. Strolling in? How wonderful it would be to stroll in! But that is not God's plan.
So, today everyone must know that in the past years, in the process of the church's growth, every victory has brought a breakthrough. But before every breakthrough, we face difficulties as big as mountains, facing obstacles like giants. Actually, I tell you, difficulties are not scary, and hardships are not scary. What is scary is falling into the hands of the living God. Do you understand? It is a tragedy for people who do not believe when they fall into the hands of the living God! We have no choice. Today, brothers and sisters, you must know that you have already embarked on a path with no choice. Even if you don't choose to be victorious, you must choose to be victorious and take hold of God's promises. Either die in the wilderness or defeat the giants and be victorious through God.
When we first started building the church, we had no people and no money. There was only darkness ahead. We didn't know how to build the church or what to do. We didn't know where the future was. We didn't know at all, but I knew God's promise. In the past years, what I have read in the Bible is God's promise. Do you know that? In the past years, although I was not so clear, Ah! Why are there man-eating giants in the Promised Land? But I knew that without trusting in God, we would perish. There is no retreat; we can only move forward. I knew that God's promise is taken by victory. If people are not victorious, they cannot take hold of God's promise. After overcoming the difficulties and walking out, the church was transformed into a praying church. The church became a church of healing, deliverance, healing the sick, and casting out demons, defeating one giant after another.
Later, the church faced huge battles again, facing division. Didn't you say you were building a praying church? I tell you, building a praying church cannot solve the problem of understanding and wisdom. Seeing that the church was about to be defeated, but relying on faith, taking hold of God's promise, we overcame the difficulties again, and defeated the giants again. The church not only did not collapse, but the church moved forward again! And obtained another Promised Land! Thank God! Later, brothers and sisters, do you know that we have only gradually begun to understand until today. When our church was about to start moving into a new field, which was a few years ago, suddenly all of us were infected with COVID-19. Especially me, I almost suffocated. I was very confused at the time; it was life-threatening. Later, relying on God's promise, we truly overcame COVID-19. It was truly by promise, by prayer, by faith that we overcame COVID-19. What was the result? The church took another big step forward!
Today everyone must know that every obstacle is an opportunity, and every crisis is an opportunity. At that time, we began to develop many things. Recently, another crisis has come. Why? Because the church is about to experience God's promise again and enter to obtain a new Promised Land again. The church is about to begin to enter a new field. Thank God! Some people want to ask, Haven't you already entered the Promised Land? I tell you, after entering the Promised Land, there is still land to be possessed. We possess one piece of land after another, endlessly. How much of God's promise is there? How much seawater is there, that's how much of God's promise there is! So, don't stop, but do your best to move forward constantly. Let us joyfully welcome the breakthroughs ahead and joyfully welcome the Promised Land ahead. Once again, defeat the man-eating giants. What do difficulties count for? But we have learned that every time we defeat a giant, there is a great breakthrough. There are wonderful promises waiting for us. It turns out that God is the God who makes us victorious!
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.(2 Corinthians 4:7-10 NIV)
Later, I became addicted. Do you know what I became addicted to? I became addicted to playing games. The game I played was a game of fighting ghosts and giants. I finally understood! It turns out that our God has given us such a fun game! A King of Glory game! I drove out a few ghosts, cast out a few demons, and subdued a few monsters. Every time after defeating one, another bigger one comes. It doesn't matter. God is the God who makes us victorious! Amen? No matter how big the difficulties placed before you are, remember: God is the God who makes you victorious. The way I have come, I am able to comfort those who are in distress, in difficulty, and whose faith seems to be dying. Actually, every time our faith is in a dying state. What kind of faith makes us victorious time and time again? It is the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It is recognizing that there is no hope for people living in this world and that life is empty. This is the foundation. Why take this path? Because people have no desire in this world. They live and then die, which is very meaningless, and they are always bullied by demons. No, this path cannot be taken this way. Today, if we are going to walk, we must walk the path of victory. Now that we have found God and now that we know God, let us trust in Him well. Recognize that this world is empty and really meaningless. If there is anything meaningful to say, it is subduing demons and monsters. This kind of game is really fun, so I play it until I am addicted.
God, continue to lead me to walk the path of victory and constantly recover lost ground. All the promises are ours, Amen! Keep upgrading, brothers and sisters. What level are you on? Evaluate it well and move to the next level. The next level of giants will be trampled under your feet, Amen! Yesterday, I ministered to a sister, and I felt a little sad. Why was I sad? She has been following us in believing in the Lord for ten years. When she came, she had depression. I cast out the demon of depression, but the worldly logic system inside her has not been destroyed. I enlightened her and advised her. What did I advise her on? It was to demolish the worldly things. Thank God, our sister listened!
We must build the foundation on Jesus Christ and become a victorious people and those who subdue demons and monsters from now on. We seek a better homeland in eternity, and everything we have in this life is no longer our hope. So, we do not lose heart. Although we face giant-like difficulties, we can still be victorious through God. Giants are small toys that God gives us to be victorious! I have a saying: You little thing! I can't deal with you? Otherwise, living in this world is meaningless. I thank God and say, God, You are so good that You created so many good toys for me.
One moment it's the spirit of a big python, and the next moment it's a spirit like this or a spirit like that. Oh my goodness! Some spirits look like a big lizard, lying on people; some spirits are like a big python; some spirits are weasels and foxes. Every time I cast out demons, it is very interesting, with all kinds of things happening. There are also demons who like to sing opera, and they sing it so well. Actually, that sister is tone-deaf, but when the demon manifests, she sings opera so well. I begin to look forward to it. Every victory brings another piece of the Promised Land. When you want to enter to obtain the Promised Land, giants will appear before you. It is always so. From the beginning, we rely on the Lord Jesus Christ, relying on the Lord we can be more than victorious, Amen!
II. Scripture (Numbers 13:17-33)
Moses sent them to explore the land of Canaan and said to them, “Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees on it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.” It was the season for the first ripe grapes.
So they went up and explored the land from the Desert of Zin as far as Rehob, toward Lebo Hamath. They went up through the Negev and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, lived. (Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) When they reached the Valley of Eshkol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs. That place was called the Valley of Eshkol, because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there.
After exploring the land for forty days, the men returned from it. They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”(Numbers 13:17-33 NIV)
III. Prayer
Let us pray together: God, this is Your good intention. You put giants before us, hindering us from entering the Promised Land. But this is the day You give us to be victorious, this is the opportunity You give us to be victorious! God, through You, even giants will be trampled under our feet! God, give us such faith today, strengthen the faith within us, and let us be victorious through You! God, have mercy on us today, bring us out of this unbelief and little faith, and let us be strengthened through Your word! God, the road ahead of us is still full of various difficulties, but we are not afraid. Through You, we are more than victorious! Through the Lord Jesus who loves us, we are more than victorious!
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that no matter how many promises God has, they are all ours through the Lord Jesus, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen! Today, there are still many among us who live in very difficult situations, but where do these difficult situations come from? They all come from our love for the world, and our lack of trust in God, and we brought them on ourselves. So today, brothers and sisters, after reading this passage of scripture, we must know that what God has prepared for us is a land flowing with milk and honey.
IV. The Background of This Passage
The things that the Israelites experienced when they left Egypt were earth-shattering and unprecedented. God defeated Pharaoh and allowed the unarmed Israelites, millions of people, to leave Egypt. Think about it, Pharaoh was the most powerful country, he had the most advanced weapons and the most advanced chariots, but God allowed the unarmed Egyptians to come out of Egypt. Should they have faith? No faith. They crossed the Red Sea, did they have faith? No faith. God opened the Red Sea, buried Pharaoh's army, and allowed the Israelites to cross the Red Sea as if walking on dry ground, but they still had no faith.
Some time ago, I met a very interesting young brother. He said: Using science to explain how a strong wind blows and the sea parts, and so on. Alas, I just thought he was a fool. That’s a miracle! If you could blow it open, how did the Israelites come out of Egypt? Blown by a strong wind too? After leaving Egypt, crossing the Red Sea, and then God's law was promulgated in the wilderness. After round after round of training, it took about a year and a half. After this year and a half of training, the training is over. If you rush up without training, you will definitely be finished because of lack of faith.
Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying: “Send men to scout the land of Canaan that I am giving to the Israelites. Send one man from each tribe, each of them a leader.” But did God know they would see giants? Yes. Did He know they would report back? Actually, He knew. Why? That’s God’s work. Today, brothers and sisters, never ask God: Why would You do this? God will tell you: Because I will it! The land is good, and the giants are real giants, and they often eat people. Know that twelve spies went in to see for forty days. Why did they say that those giants were people who devour the inhabitants? Those giants might really be gnawing on human bones there. Wouldn't you be scared?
That spear is like a car axle; we can’t even lift it. It is said that giants are more than three meters tall, and then they are very confused. What is this, God? I tell you, God can do all things, but He cannot replace man's choices. The land is good, and the giants are also giants, and then He deliberately let these twelve spies go to see. These twelve spies each have their feelings, each has their reactions, and each has their perspectives, and they see different things. So, Caleb and Joshua had the vision and saw that this was a good place, so we should go up and take that land. What if the other ten spies didn't have that vision? Some of them said: No, no, there are man-eating giants there, the descendants of Anak.
Do you know how the Israelites felt when they heard about the descendants of Anak? It was like a one-and-a-half-meter-tall person facing the boxing champion Tyson. There is no way to fight; one push and it's over. Then what conclusion can you draw? What did those ten spies think? God wants to kill us. Don't we have graves in Egypt? It's over. Joshua and Caleb thought that God wanted to give them the Promised Land. I tell you, these two kinds of thoughts existed among the Israelites. What was sad was that except for Joshua and Caleb who had this kind of thought, everyone else had another kind of thought, that God wanted to kill them.
Do you think God wants to kill us? If God wants to kill you, does He need to go through so much trouble, bringing you out of Egypt and proclaiming the law in the wilderness? Going back and forth, to this point, and then crossing the Jordan River to get the Promised Land, send you to your death? God doesn't need to do this. But I tell you, people will think this way. How can it be logical? These people who abandon God have all experienced miracles, how can we not experience miracles among us? They forget in the blink of an eye. As soon as they see these things, they are immediately attracted by these things. People's eyesight is really deadly. What people believe in is what they get.
The background of this passage is that God deliberately let them see the giants. Do you think this is just asking for trouble? But that’s what God does. So, to know God is to be wise, and the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Know that when people look at their abilities, they certainly cannot defeat the giants. With small arms and legs, there is no way to fight giants. Holding two swords, like Liu Bei, ka, rushing up. The giant's big spear sweeps around, clang! The palm of the hand is torn apart. Then the two swords fly out; you definitely can't hold on. If people rely on their abilities, it is like this. But if they rely on the power of God? How can the power of God not be greater than giants? So, I tell you, it is impossible for people to rely on themselves. What can people do by themselves? They can’t do anything. You say no, I can do many things. Eat your fill and then sleep, you definitely have the final say on that. But you absolutely have no say in the face of giants and difficulties.
Today, let's look at the difficulties before us. Which difficulty is not greater than us? This is why people need to have faith. Believe in what? Believe that God is the God who makes us victorious, that God can knock out those giants. Then why should we rush up through us? Because God wants to share His victory with us. I am especially grateful to God that He knocked out the giants, and then the share of the victory is counted on us. What kind of logic is this? Because we are co-workers with God. As a result, these ten spies reported bad news, and then the hearts of the Israelites melted and they had no faith. They were corrupted by these ten spies, and as a result, God killed these ten spies on the spot. I ask you, if you were those ten spies, would you be afraid of God or afraid of giants? The giants are still far away, and God is right there. If it were me, a wise man does not fight when the odds are against him. It's better to kill those giants than to be killed by God.
If you don’t want to enter the Promised Land, what will happen? You will fall in the wilderness, like these ten spies who died on the spot. Scary? It's scary. Did you revere Him? Still not reverent. The Israelites are just so stupid, their heads grow like pumpkins, growing a pumpkin head and a bitter melon face, which is deadly. Today you have to know that either you enter the Promised Land, or you fall in the wilderness. Either face the giants and trample them under your feet, or be killed by God. The feeling we have inside when facing giants is real, but we don't rely on feelings; we rely on faith. Brothers and sisters, learn a lesson: God arranges it this way. Because God wants to share His victory with you and me, Amen?
Five. Knowing God's Work
I tell you, you will definitely be confused if you don’t understand God’s work. You will be finished if you think from a human perspective. So, our brothers and sisters must know God’s work. To know Jehovah is to be wise. Do you want to be a wise person? You must know God; you must know God's work. God's work is like this; the rules God sets, the rules God makes, are like this, then that is how it is. You must know God's work; I don't need to know your work. So, among our brothers and sisters, I especially like to explain to me when I'm ministering. Explaining a whole bunch, I said, What are you talking about all this for? It's useless. I said he talked for a long time, and it was useless. He was very angry and hurt. I said it's really useless; which sentence is the word of God? Not a single sentence is the word of God. So, we must know God and know God’s work.
Look at the Israelites in the wilderness, wandering for forty years without knowing God's work, not knowing God's laws, and not knowing how God arranged it. They just thought about their own things, wouldn't that be silly? So, people who know God’s work are wise. Then God arranged this giant, what's the deal? Isn't it arranged by God? Did God know there were giants there? He knew. Then why did He let the Israelites in? You don't know this, do you? Because God wants to work with us, let us learn to rely on God to trample on all the devil's enemies. God once gave Joshua a promise, saying that no one would be able to stand before you all the days of your life. What are we carrying inside? Today, we are carrying a set of human things inside.
Some time ago, a sister asked her son to communicate with me. I communicated with her son, who should be in his thirties or forties. Then I communicated with her son, but could we communicate? He talked to me about psychology and stuff. I said, let’s do this. If we want to discuss the Bible today, let’s use the Bible as a basis. If we want to discuss Buddhist scriptures today, then forget it, because I haven’t read them. If we discuss psychology, we will use the classics of psychology as a basis. After he listened, he understood. He never discussed it with me again. Why? Because he couldn't discuss it. Because what he talked about was that set of psychology things, and what I talked about was the Bible. That doesn't matter, you can say whether the Bible works or not.
Then if I give you depression today, you are basically powerless, you are helpless. However, depression must be healed in me. Then I will give you one, you try it. So, I think there are many people who want to compete with me, but they can't. Because I not only read God's word, I believe God's word, and I also act according to God's word. I will see many dark forces in this spiritual realm being trampled by us.
So, knowing God's work, how to know God? Believe in God's word well, that is wisdom. It is normal for God to let that giant be there; it is normal for God to let us be surrounded on all sides; it is normal for God to make us feel troubled; it is normal for God to let us shed more tears; it is normal for God to let us be persecuted; sometimes even knocked down, OK. Because Jesus Christ also walked the same road, today we must know that Jesus Christ also walked on the cross. The road He opened up is this kind of road. So, I think today brothers and sisters must know God’s work and know God’s plan; this is the key. Don’t be confused. The key is that God wants us to be victorious. Key is to gain wisdom and understanding, and be filled with the knowledge of God in understanding. Think about it, isn’t it? We look like grasshoppers when we see that giant, and giants look at us like grasshoppers too. That is, grasshoppers after autumn, how many more days can they hop?
Six. Possess Spiritual Vision
Since you know God's work, you must have spiritual vision. If you don't have spiritual vision, how can you walk this road? Looking at muscles, you can't see it with the eyes of the flesh. The muscles on other peoples’ arms are thicker than your legs, right? Other people's little fingers are thicker than your arms. Then how do you play? You can’t. Looking at it with spiritual eyes, it turns out to be like this. So, today we must completely abandon those who are based on ability, because your ability is really bad. Even if you are very capable, very powerful, it is also very bad. Because what can your ability do? Can your ability deal with any ghosts? You can’t deal with any ghosts, let alone any giants.
But if you have spiritual vision and no longer focus on this life, then rush up with the faith that you will die if you die, and you will find that these are all paper tigers. Does everyone know what paper tigers mean? All imperialists are paper tigers; we often said this when we were young. They are really paper tigers; they can be pierced with one poke. They appear powerful on the surface, but in fact, they have digested in their hearts. Because God makes the giant feel digested in his heart, isn’t that easy? God points His finger, ding, and the giant is frozen, letting you slaughter him, can't He do that? He can do it. So, you will be victorious with one gesture.
Today, we must have spiritual vision. The ten spies took a look and it was over because they relied on themselves. Joshua and Caleb took a look because they relied on God. When David defeated Goliath, Goliath was a giant. More than three meters tall, and David was probably one meter seven. One meter seven and three meters, that guy, how much difference should there be in size? There is an 8-fold difference in size. David was probably sixty kilograms, and the giant was four hundred and eighty kilograms. Four hundred and eighty kilograms, that’s half a ton. Walking, bang, bang, the ground will shake. So, in the end, was David victorious or was the giant victorious? David was victorious. So, don't rely on your abilities; what can you do by relying on your abilities? You can get Alzheimer's disease by relying on your abilities. What can you do by relying on your abilities? You can be deceived by ghosts and crushed and rubbed by ghosts.
Today, let us demolish our logical system in this life, because the logical system in this life is disbelief; there is no spiritual vision. If people cannot see through living, they have no way to obtain the promise, so eyesight is very important. When you see emptiness and chaos, an opportunity comes. Why? You can let there be light, and there will be light. When you see that the whole earth is desolate, you can let flowers, plants, and trees grow. So, today our brothers and sisters begin to have spiritual vision, seeing things like God does. So, I often say, brothers and sisters, what do you want to do today? You have to look at the problem from God's throne. You stand next to God's throne and look at the things of this world from God's perspective. One look, oh, it's like this.
Seven. Believe in God's Promise
God's permission is given to us, so I especially like God's promise. Because these promises are all given to the living, not to the dead. You and I have courage in the world because we can draw on God’s promises while we are still alive. If you read Deuteronomy 28:1-14, you will read all the things that are related to our living. If you want to live well, you must walk the road of promise. Relying on God’s power and relying on God’s promises, this is the gospel that Jesus Christ accomplished for us. How wonderful it is to draw on God's promises while we are alive, isn't it? Then do the Israelites believe in God’s promises? They don’t believe! Joshua and Caleb believed in God’s promises, so today those who believe in God’s promises are blessed.
The grace we receive today can draw on God’s promises. No matter how many of God’s promises there are, they are yes and faithful in Christ. Do you believe it? I tell you, I read the Bible very carefully. I read in the Bible that everyone was healed; I believe it. I read in the Bible that if you carefully obey the words of the Lord your God, God will bless everything you do; I believe it. I read that God will make me be above and not below; I believe it. I read that God will give us the Promised Land; I believe it. Even if there are giants, God’s promise will not be abolished; even if we are surrounded on all sides, we will not be trapped. Today, we must see the wonderful work of God in us.
I hope those among us who have failed in their investments; who have lost money miserably because their real estate has been cut in half; and whose cash flow cannot make ends meet, I believe that you cannot reverse this miserable situation by your power, but you can still rely on God to reverse it. You took the wrong path in the past; you must take the right path today. Without God, there are no miracles. Just rely on these two tricks of people; then just muddle along. Isn't it? As for me, I rely on God's promise. No matter how many of God's promises, I want them all; they are all mine. Amen? The reason we need to establish this glorious church is that if we establish a glorious church, God's Spirit will dwell among us, and God's promise will be fulfilled among us. This glorious church can trample on the devil enemies, even giants, and trample them under their feet. Later, when the Israelites went in to get Jericho, the walls of Jericho collapsed by themselves. It was not because the walls were going to collapse by themselves, but because God caused the walls to collapse. We thank God that without God, we can't move an inch. Without anyone's promise, we would have been fooled long ago. So, today continue to restore your faith in God's promise and no longer move forward according to your logical system.
Overcoming Illusions in us
Chinese Mingding Destiny does not believe in feelings, but some people say not to extinguish the prompting of the Holy Spirit. The prompting of the Holy Spirit is not an illusion, nor is it a feeling. The prompting of the Holy Spirit is a cognitive perception of the mind. So, it’s not that I feel very peaceful, so that's how things are. I felt very peaceful, so I married him, and later found out he was a jerk. Who do you blame then? It's not done this way; it’s to overcome the illusion in us. Are these giants real? Are the feelings real? They are all real. But we don’t rely on feelings to eliminate the illusion in us. Illusion is always inseparable and follows us.
However, each time we twist it to God’s promise, we twist it to faith. Every time faith rises, the feeling is still there. Everyone must know, especially those who have diseases on their bodies. Those with diseases, the feeling is still there. But in our faith, we have been healed. That’s why Jesus said your faith has saved you, it is your faith that has saved you, not the feeling that has saved you. If a person is fully filled with the knowledge of God in wisdom and understanding, the illusions in us will be obediently managed by us. We will not walk according to that illusion; we will walk according to God’s promise, Amen? This is the theme we are talking about today: Why are there man-eating giants in the Promised Land? That is God giving us the evidence of victory, Amen?
Let's sing a hymn to begin receiving today's offering. If you don't understand the meaning of offering, please do not offer. I don't want you to be cursed. If you don't understand the meaning of offering, don't offer it. If you choose to offer, offer yourself. Not only offer a tithe, but also offer the offering that should be offered. If you live by money, don't offer; don't humiliate God. If you live by God, offering is grace. Because you offer, you receive. With so many promises waiting for us to draw on, what is it to offer 200 yuan out of a 2,000-yuan pension, isn't it? We do not act according to human eyesight, but according to God's eyesight.
Today, brothers and sisters, you must offer. This is what we should do. Because offering is grace, no one suffers losses because of offering. Be sure to know that keeping what should be offered to God in your hands becomes something that should be destroyed, and you become something that should be destroyed. Unless you have no relationship with God and you are not God's people, you do not need to offer, and of course you have no promises from God.
Well, raise your hands and pray with me. I say a sentence, and everyone says it with me: God, today, not only do I offer my tithe, but I also offer myself as a living sacrifice. My offering is only reasonable. God, lead me to victory so that I can live out your glorious appearance in this world. God, today tear down my set of worldly, selfish logical systems within me. God, today let me become a giver. I will offer myself as a living sacrifice, willing for you to accept my offering, which is holy and pleasing to you. God, in the days to come, may you lead me to victory. I will trust in you. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen! May God bless everyone!
