【Bible Study】2 Timothy 3 - Serving God Requires Awareness of Dangers, Acquisition of Wisdom, and Attainment of Perfection!

2025-12-10 7 2 Timothy

Introduction

Good day to all, we will be reading 2 Timothy Chapter 3 today. There is a passage that has caused great confusion for many. Is the Scripture that Paul refers to the same as the Bible we speak of today? Actually, they are not the same. The Scripture Paul refers to is the Old Testament.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

This was said by Paul. Because of this statement, I have had quite a few disputes. Why? The reason is simple. I don't think the Book of James should be included in the Bible because I don't know what James is trying to say. It's not that I can't read; I can, but I can't understand the Book of James. This is the greatest confusion in my life. Later, I understood that if James didn't explain it clearly, how could I understand it? But other books, like Paul's epistles, are excellent.

The theme of 2 Timothy Chapter 3 is: To serve God, one must be aware of the dangers, gain wisdom, and be perfected.

Be Aware That Serving God Is a Very Dangerous Task

If you are not aware that serving God is a very dangerous task, it's all over. Do you think it's like playing golf? Do you think it's like practicing Tai Chi? Do you think it's like strolling in the yard? It's not, because serving God is a very dangerous task.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

I want to tell everyone that when we serve God, who are we fighting against? We are fighting against Satan, the most cunning and powerful demon in this world. That thing is too powerful! Why? Because these are two kingdoms, one is the Kingdom of God, and the other is the kingdom of the world. In this kingdom of the world, if you don't have a bit of wisdom, you simply cannot discern its corruption; everything seems so reasonable.

We read Paul's letters to Timothy. Why? Because this Timothy is a bit foolish; he doesn't know that serving God is a very dangerous task. On the surface, everything looks good. Look at this sister, how much she loves God. Really? Look at this sister, referred to as a sister, but in my words: Isn't that just an old woman? Running around and releasing corruption.

I didn't just realize this today. When I started building the church, I was very clear about who I was fighting against. I was fighting against demons, and I was defeated repeatedly. People say: That's failing repeatedly but fighting continuously. The church was full of those gossiping old women, chattering away. I served them, but I didn't have the wisdom at the time. Actually, I knew, but I desperately wanted people in the church. If there's no one in the church, what are you serving? Standing on the pulpit, looking down, and seeing all the seats empty, do you feel comfortable? Not at all; it's very uncomfortable.

So, when someone comes, serve them well, and when another comes, serve them well too. But later, I discovered, are these people of God? I concluded that the most disputes in the church come from a small society. Where do these disputes come from? They come from the spiritual world. Not all are there to build the church; many are there as undercover agents.

So, this is a battle between two kingdoms. Do you want to build a church? I tell you, the devil knows the Art of War deeply. If we who are fighting don't know this, like Timothy, you must know that this is a very dangerous thing. This is a battle between two kingdoms! There will definitely be a large group of people coming into the church.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— (2 Timothy 3:2-4)

Pastors among us, and these small pastors, and our brothers and sisters, listen carefully: Never believe what people say, watch what they do. I tell you, you must gain this wisdom. If you don't know this and only listen to what people say, you will definitely be deceived.

Our brothers and sisters must learn to gain wisdom in service. I say it's a long story, but when I was building the church, I was very confused. I said the church should be a very loving place. Brothers and sisters, believe my words, no matter which church it is, there must be undercover agents inside, and it is full of corruption.

No one tells you: I am the devil. They are all very friendly, very loving on the surface, but in their bones are these things: without love, unforgiving, slanderous. So, the church began to turn to God. One year, living too miserably, we began to repent, turn back to God, and establish prayer meetings. I tell you, everyone has a form of godliness, but how many have its power? None.

Timothy is in this situation; he can't figure out who has the power of godliness and who has only the form. Paul knows, "They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." Are these people here to build the church? Brothers and sisters, tell me, many are not.

I am particularly moved that the church was full of disputes back then. Many things, in fact, cannot be resolved by us personally. But thankfully, God's hand has always been in control. At that time, there was an elder who often said: Our church must return to the Bible, return to the Word of God.

Brothers and sisters, when we face all kinds of challenges and difficulties, have we returned to the Word of God? Later, in prayer, we sought God's will together. One day, in Ephesians Chapter 4, verses 2 to 3, God gave us a passage:

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3)

This passage deeply touched the hearts of each of us. It was from this time that we experienced the revival of the church. Many disputes were gradually resolved because of the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. So, today I want to share with you that the key to all this is how we return to God, how we allow the Word of God to truly reign in our lives.

Back then, building the church made me want to die. How could the church be built like this? I tell you, I was extremely painful and astonished. Then I discovered that the church is the place where spiritual warfare is most intense. We began to fight, casting out those who were sick and driving out demons. After driving them out, I discovered, my God, the demons were cast out, and the illness was healed, but the things in their minds were still very evil.

I don't easily believe anyone. Some people say: Pastor, why don't you believe me? If someone really says to you: Why don't you believe me? Many people wouldn't reply. How could an average pastor have this wisdom? They would say: I believe you. And then have to explain for a long time. I answer like this: Why should I believe you? Just because of these nice words you say to me with those two lips, I should believe you? Am I stupid? Why? Because I don't care about the number of people in the church; I only care about the people of God in the church, bringing the people of God into the Kingdom of God, bringing them into wisdom, and then enabling them to live out the image of God, to be perfected. This is a battle between two kingdoms.

Later, I discovered that everyone carries demons. Don't think it's strange when I say this. They have a form of godliness, but in their bones, they are filled with the logic of the world. In fact, they are servants of Satan who come to the church, wearing a form of godliness.

The year I first believed in the Lord, I saw that everyone in the church was good. These brothers and sisters were so loving! Two years later, a full-time worker in the church, I thought this full-time worker looked so handsome drumming on the stage! When leading worship, a wave of the hand, a lift of the hand, a movement of the foot, so handsome! I was so envious; I thought this was so spiritual, leading worship so well! Later, when I contacted him privately, he was just borrowing money from the members, borrowing and not returning. I said, is this a church? I began to slowly ponder this matter.

Thank God! I didn't fall. I won't fall because of these things because I didn't really believe in people in the first place. Look, some people borrow money from me, and I say, when I open a bank, I will definitely lend it to you. Do you think I'm only like this today? I was like this when I was young. When I open a bank, I will lend it to you. If the bank doesn't lend to you, why should I lend to you? So, in the church, we don't lend money either. But if we do encounter difficulties, really encounter difficulties that need help, we will definitely help. This is definitely not a deception.

I told the brothers and sisters, I said, one day in the future, if I come to borrow money from you, and it's not a small amount, whether it's a large or small amount, I will tell you directly, don't lend it to me. I'll tell you why, I must be possessed by a demon, I must be loving money, boastful, proud, abusive, maybe not all of it, but a part of it is enough. Later, I discovered that the church is too dirty.

So, why build a church later? I wanted to build a holy church, a church that truly resembles the church of Jesus Christ. Walking along, we have come to today. I also thank God that we have taken many detours. At that time, the church, I tell you, the gathering was a physical church. Now you can't do it even if you want to; it's gone. Why? Because even in Singapore, I don't have one, and I don't do physical gatherings. Now, in your home, open your phone and listen.

The monthly rent for a physical church is very expensive. Why? In the city center, because it's convenient for the brothers and sisters to come. After they come, good heavens, as soon as the gathering ends, small groups of twos and threes, and then they go to the hot pot restaurant to eat and chat. Then some brothers and sisters come back and tell me, saying: Teacher, do you know? They took me to eat hot pot that day too. I said: No need to say, I know, and I don't want to know. I know clearly in my heart that I am the hot pot dish. This one says: The pastor has this problem. That one says: Look, the pastor has that problem. And then some people say: Let's pray for the pastor together, and other miscellaneous things.

After I saw it, some of these people wanted to commit suicide, and I delivered them; some had sexually transmitted diseases, and I delivered them; some had mothers with high blood pressure, and I took care of it; some had mothers with cancer, and I took care of it. In return, I became the hot pot dish in their mouths. I was very surprised. I know that serving God is a very dangerous task, not only does the Bible tell me, Paul tells me, but my own personal experience is also like this. I tell you, they all came to the church from the brink of death, I served them and they were delivered, and then they went back to that same old way.

So, brothers and sisters, no matter how big your illness, how serious your illness, even if you are healed among us later, I will not believe you. Your receiving grace has nothing to do with you; it has to do with us. Our brothers and sisters, whoever it is, must learn to have wisdom. Timothy lacks this wisdom; he doesn't know what kind of people to avoid, and he doesn't know that these people are all superficial. So, Timothy's service is a very terrible service, and he is desperately trying to save these people! If you let me say it, just forget it. As the people of Tianjin would say, just go play.

I don't spend this time. Why should I spend this time? Of course, if you are sick, I will cast out demons, I will practice there, then practice a little, but to enable people to turn to Christ, you must have wisdom, see through the things in people's hearts. I thank God that God has given me this wisdom. If the inside of a person has not been dealt with, it is very dirty. If you understand, then understand; if you don't understand, then don't listen.

People are naturally of the devil; people are naturally filled with the logic of the world. So, my work is very simple; I want to destroy this logic of the world. Why destroy the logic of the world? Because if you carry the logic of the world, you suffer a lot. I tell you, that is what God is doing. Some people say: People are doing, Heaven is watching. No, that is what God is doing, people should watch.

So, these things you must know. These women are burdened with sins, led astray by various lusts, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. If you minister to her, and you let her in, isn't that a dangerous thing? I especially thank God, who is helping me cleanse our church? Not me, but God. So, brothers and sisters, these are two kingdoms. Who should be avoided? Who belongs to God? Who does not belong to God? Of course, he does not belong to God. I give him a little bit of grace, what in English is called "benefit of the doubt," which means I choose to believe him, but I am very cautious. How much of the world's logic system is still in you? Do you love God in your heart? If you do not love God in your heart, God will surely let me see it.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be careful of those who sneak into the church. Do not think that everyone who comes to church is seeking, having a form of godliness but denying its power. If you come here to show off, that is why it is difficult for the devil to carry out its work among us, because who did I learn from? I learned from Paul. I am doing the most dangerous job in the world. You come to church, and I will let you be released, but whether you are here to build the church, I do not know. I have to examine you before I know.

I examine you, I stimulate you a bit, and I will know. You send me a message, and I deliberately do not reply. As a result, you get into a fight with me. Why should I reply? I do not reply, I do it on purpose. I leave you there to see, and you end up discerning good and evil with me. So you came to discern good and evil, then I will deal with you. I have a way to let you experience my love and also let you be disciplined. This is the wisdom of ministry.

So we must know that serving God requires knowing the danger, gaining wisdom, and being perfected. Learn slowly. Did you think I would really let you play around? No. I serve anyone as if I were serving God. But if you want to fool me, like fooling Timothy, I think that is a bit difficult. Our church is a fraud prevention hotline. Bring it on, I tell you, we know too much about how ghosts work.

Serving God Will Inevitably Encounter Resistance

Remember, serving God will inevitably encounter resistance. Thank God, it is right when you encounter resistance. If it is like entering an unpopulated area, what are you fighting if there are no enemies there? If you do not encounter resistance, what are you playing there? So serving God will inevitably encounter resistance.

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men. (2 Timothy 3:8-9)

Brothers and sisters, think about it slowly. You cannot build a church without encountering resistance. Where does that resistance come from? It all comes from those who are possessed by demons, filled with ghosts, wearing a form of godliness to sneak into the church to corrupt it. They are not here to build the church. In fact, our church has fought one hard battle after another.

For example, Timothy's girlfriend, was she here to build the church? I do not know. And Timothy's girlfriend, I do not even know if she got married later. And her mother, that old woman, was she here to build the church? Timothy could not tell. To these people, she was here to resist God, to resist the truth. Did she make soup for you? Yes. But did she resist the truth? Yes. Her soup was a guise of love, but resisting the truth was real. I tell everyone: This kind of person in the church especially shows a lot of love, but it is not the true doctrine. Timothy only looked at the form of godliness. So brothers and sisters, when you serve, if you are often fooled, you will not get better, you will suffer losses.

How can you let others fool you when building a church? You must gain wisdom. Did Moses encounter resistance? Yes! When he arrived in Egypt, he wanted to bring the Israelites out of Egypt. The magicians of Pharaoh of Egypt resisted Moses. Now let us say, did the magicians under this Pharaoh want to kill Moses? Yes. Zhou Yu wanted to kill Zhuge Liang. Did Jannes and Jambres, the heads of those magician teams, want to kill Moses? Yes! But they could not do it. Why could not they do it? You must know that these people did not even have the opportunity to get close to Moses. Why? God's angels and heavenly hosts were encamped around him.

Whether it was Jannes or Jambres, their spells cast in the dark, including voodoo dolls and other spells, did not work on Moses. Later, they took soldiers and wanted to kill Moses. Did Moses not live in that tent? Did you think he lived in a palace? When they approached, my goodness, the angels and heavenly hosts manifested around them, resisting Jannes and Jambres from the outside. So Moses was protected by God, he was a man of God. We who risk our lives to serve God, you must know that you have God's protection. It is a bit difficult to kill you.

Did Samuel encounter resistance? Yes! Samuel came to power after twenty years. Only after twenty years did the hearts of the Israelites turn to God. Samuel worked very hard for twenty years, confronting this group of worldly Israelites, transforming them little by little. Did Paul encounter resistance? Yes! Did Jesus encounter resistance? Yes! Who resisted Jesus? It was the high priest in the temple.

I tell you, if you want to serve God, you must know that this is a dangerous job. A long time ago, a pastor served in a church, and was later sued by the members and church leaders. As a result, the pastor suffered from depression. It was all ghosts, tormented by ghosts. I must tell you, what happened? You will inevitably encounter these things when building a church.

From that time on, I began to say: Build a church, build a holy and united church. Build a church that is holy, constantly filtering out the dirty, constantly filtering. You see churches pursuing ten thousand, fifty thousand, one hundred thousand people, and there are even the largest churches with four hundred thousand, eight hundred thousand people. I do not want that. Why do I not want that? How many Jannes and Jambres must be in there? Are they here to build the church? They are here to destroy it. Coming to the church to do direct sales, selling health products, coming to the church to do what? Selling insurance; coming to the church to do what? Coming to the church to mingle in society, mingle in circles, that is not God's church.

So we must be vigilant. If you do not have resistance, it is bad, it is wrong. Do you still think they are your own people? So Paul said: Timothy, you must know that they will resist the truth just as they resisted Moses. Many churches, as they are being built, end up losing the truth. Why? They have fallen into the devil's tricks and become a den of ghosts.

What happened to the tabernacle built by Moses later? It was desolate. The temple built by David and Solomon later became a den of ghosts. Yes, it became a den of ghosts. So when we build a church, you must be careful not to build a den of ghosts after it is finished. The other day on the Lord's Day, I talked about Micah and Moses' grandson building an altar, building a temple. They really thought it was a temple. How corrupt do you think it is? It is not. So brothers and sisters, do not be confused anymore, be careful.

All Who Serve God Will Be Persecuted

Jesus told an example, told a prophecy. The prophets came and were killed; the prophets came again and were killed again. God sent his son, and his son was killed. When you come to this world, can the god of this world, the devil in this world, not persecute you? How will it persecute you? It must be through this worldly thing.

But many times, we do not know that God is in control of this world. For example, those who resist you, as far as I know, the three people who sued their pastor, the three church leaders, one died of cancer, one had a car accident, and the third was frightened and came to the pastor to confess and repent. Just these three people, I ask you, will their folly be revealed to all? It will definitely be revealed, and that is not even a particularly God-pleasing church.

So what must we know? Suffering persecution is normal, but you must have wisdom, you must be perfected. So what did Paul say?

You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of sufferings happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:10-13)

Paul asked Timothy: Do you understand? Can you understand this meaning? If I were really sitting with Timothy to read this, I would ask: Do you really understand? Are you really doing what you are doing with those smoky things you are doing in building the church in Ephesus? Do you really have the wisdom to deal with these things? Why? Because after being persecuted, people release lies, saying: Look, Paul is persecuted, he must have offended God. I can tell you that even Jesus Christ was persecuted, but it was for the sake of God's kingdom.

Do not think that suffering is being persecuted. Some people suffer because they are cursed, and some people suffer because they are going to fight. But from all these sufferings, the Lord has rescued me, because God's power always surpasses our imagination, and God's power always surpasses the devil's power. If we have faith, I tell you, God will surely protect us!

For example, Joseph was sold into Egypt, and God also protected him. Many people say: Look at him, he had a dream and had to tell it, and as a result, he was sold into Egypt. Is that how it is? That was God's arrangement. Joseph refused to discern good and evil. Later, the situation got worse. Being a slave was okay, but in the end he was imprisoned, falsely imprisoned.

Joseph just did not discern good and evil! If he had discerned good and evil, he would have stayed in prison forever. Finally, God brought him out of prison and directly made him the prime minister of Egypt. Amazing? I tell you, God is really amazing! God will surely exalt His people among all nations, placing them above all the nations of the world.

A curse and being persecuted are completely different things. Although they both involve suffering, one suffers because people carry a worldly logic system and are trampled under the worldly demons. Do you think demons do not listen to God? They do. So do not be afraid, the Lord will save us.

We have come to this point, and we have won every battle! Thank God! Our God is always the greatest, and God always surpasses all things on earth. The earth and the earth on earth, the heavens and the heavens in the heavens, are all created by God. God has prepared a training ground for us, which is to train our faith! What is persecution? In this persecution, some people turn to the world, and some people become holy and become people who inherit God's promises. So building a church, persecution is a good thing! Once persecuted, whether your faith is true or false will be revealed at a glance! So God made a huge sieve and sifted out the people of God through His brushes and sieves. This is a person of God!

So brothers and sisters, you must know that in 2 Timothy, Timothy was very confused about persecution, and he was completely confused about curses and persecution. Even now, some people think that Jesus was cursed when he was nailed to the cross; Joseph was cursed when he was sold into Egypt; Abel and Cain, Cain killed Abel, thinking that Abel was cursed. These people have made the truth extremely confused.

Do not be afraid, I tell you, no matter from the inside or outside, the enemy has no way to stop God's work. God's work will always be implemented according to God's word.

Gain Wisdom from the Word of God

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:14-15)

Gain wisdom from the word of God, that is why I force you to write notes! I force you to write notes and force you to write reflections! If you never write notes and never write reflections, why? He said: I have finished writing, but my pastor does not read it. I tell you: It is not for the pastor to read, it is for you to read! You must gain wisdom from the word of God.

Why? We are fighting against the most powerful enemy, he may be three meters tall, a super heavyweight, and we may be like grasshoppers in front of him. He is in front of us, we look at him, and we look at ourselves like grasshoppers. He also looks at us like grasshoppers. But we gain wisdom from God, and the featherweight defeats the heavyweight. So learning is very important! What you have learned and what you are convinced of must be kept in your heart, because you have understood it since childhood.

At this time, when encountering confusion in building the church, you are confused. I have seen many pastors who love God very much and read the Bible every day, and later they said to me: Pastor, exorcism is useless. Can you interpret the Bible like this? You cannot say that. It is not that you do not exorcise because exorcism is useless. Today we still exorcise, because Jesus Christ is a Jesus Christ who heals the sick and casts out demons; Jesus Christ is a Jesus Christ who does healing and deliverance; Jesus Christ is to make the blind see, the lame walk; to raise the dead from the dead, to show His glory. But these are just to show God's glory, but the real purpose is that Jesus Christ wants to build His body, which is His church.

Do not ever think that man cannot overcome ghosts. I tell you, by relying on Jesus Christ, we can overcome all the dark forces on earth and gain wisdom. We do as God's Word says. How wonderful! You gain wisdom, what kind of wisdom? The wisdom to build the church, for the church is God's army. Since the church is God's army, it is definitely not a place where you love me, and I love you, an endless cycle of affection, but at its core, everyone is self-centered, greedy for money, boastful and arrogant, having only a form of godliness but denying its power. No, it is not like that. The church is God's army, trained to fight against the devil, to trample the devil underfoot!

I can tell you all, when you trample the devil underfoot, and replace the worldly things in your mind with God's wisdom, you become extraordinary. Even ghosts will bow down before you. In the devil's world, your name becomes very well-known. I find this very interesting. When I began to pursue knowing God's Word, climbing spiritual heights, and understanding God's truth step by step, do you know what happened? My goodness, these ghosts were defeated one after another. And what happened as a result? These ghosts said, "I still have to send you money." Why? Because they were defeated.

So if you can truly defeat the devil, you must obtain God's Word, God's wisdom. God's Word is established in heaven and never changes; it will never return without accomplishing its purpose. You must believe in God's Word and speak only God's Word. Do not start reasoning with yourself as soon as you open your mouth. If you are always reasoning with yourself, where is God's Word? It is all learned. What you have learned gives you the wisdom to be saved. What does it mean to be saved? To be rescued from suffering; to be rescued from persecution, that is called salvation. To be rescued from illness; to be rescued from disaster, that is called salvation.

You say, "How do you know?" I tell you, this blind man, Jesus touched him, and he saw. What did Jesus say? "Your faith has saved you." It is not the kind of salvation that means going to heaven after death, but experiencing God's power in this world. The woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus, and her bleeding stopped. Jesus said, "Your faith has saved you." This is just the beginning. After believing, seek more, and with more seeking comes more grace and more favor. You have been studying the Bible since you were young, how did you become so poor in spirit? Our brothers and sisters should ponder this: how much do you understand God's Word? You must study, take notes, and build a complete system of faith.

Why are worldly concepts so firmly entrenched? Because they are a system, with interconnected links. So why do we gain victory and wisdom when we believe in the Lord? Because we also have a system, with interconnected links. Why do I say that the Book of James is not in this system? Because it really is not in this system; it is irrelevant and full of nonsense.

## That the Man of God May Be Complete

Do not ever think that when the Apostle Paul said that all Scripture is God-breathed, he was referring to our Bible today. He was referring to the Old Testament, as there was no New Testament at that time. The Scripture that Paul was referring to was the Old Testament, especially the five books of Moses, so that the man of God may be complete.

How can one be complete? Today, we must understand what Jesus said: he who hears God's Word and does it is a wise man, who builds his house on the rock, not on the sand. He who hears God's Word and does not do it is like a man who builds his house on the sand. Do you not think this is wisdom? Reading God's Word and then doing it is a crucial viewpoint in our Chinese Mingding Doctrine system.

So why was it said that there was Scripture even when there was no New Testament? Because the Scripture was originally a system. I tell you today, the Scripture is a very complete system. The five books of Moses form a complete system in themselves. Then Moses said that God's Word and God's truth cannot be added to. Later, Samuel wrote a great deal; after many years, Isaiah wrote a great deal; Daniel wrote a pile; and Malachi wrote a pile. Then Jesus Christ spoke a great deal; and the Apostle Paul wrote a great deal. I tell you, this is all one system. Why is this system effective? It can make the man of God complete, making the man of God more and more like Jesus, so that the man of God may be complete. What is complete? Complete is being completely like Jesus.

Actually, it is not that I have any ability, but that Jesus Christ is too powerful, because I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in His Word, and I do as He says. Later, I discovered, my goodness, that the church can be built into such a church: the blind can see, and the lame can walk. Why? Because we believe in a complete system. Where does it come from? From learning. After learning, we believe, and after believing, we practice. Once we practice, it becomes easy. This works, that works, and this also works.

You know, there are many precious things in the Bible. For example, everyone who came to Jesus was healed, as the Bible says. I read carefully and thought this was a good word. Why is it good? Because everyone was healed, you have no excuse to say that you cannot be healed. If it said that ninety-nine percent of people were healed, it would be bad. If I prayed for you, you would definitely say, "I am that one percent." Now there is no excuse. When you come to Jesus, everyone is healed.

So why are some not healed? Because they have not repented. You still have the worldly logic system in you; you still have that worldly stuff, so you still live under God's wrath. Therefore, we believe in a complete system, and when you practice this system, it will make you complete. Complete is being completely like Jesus, and then doing all kinds of good deeds. Let us all say, what is called a good deed? Giving money to people is a good deed? That is a scam!

There are many lies: "I lost my ID card," "I lost my phone," "Leave me your information, and I will return it to you later," "Give me some money first, so I can go home," and then you do a good deed; you help an old lady cross the road, and you have done a good deed. Is that it? That is not it. I tell you, let the captives be released and the oppressed go free. Did you hear that? Break the curses on people, so that the blind can see, the lame can walk, and the poor have the gospel preached to them, becoming a blessing to others.

The church is not about giving money; it is about giving blessings. The church is about bringing people into blessings; the church is about breaking the curses on people; the church is about freeing people from the bondage of disease. The church does not give people diseases; it gets rid of people's diseases. How can you be complete with a body full of diseases? That is very incomplete.

So the Bible is a powerful system, from Abraham to Jesus Christ. If you think about it carefully, this is what we call the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which can draw on God's promises. Powerful, isn't it? Our vision and mission are highly summarized and encapsulate the gospel system of Jesus Christ.

Unlike some people who talk about the Apostles' Creed. Some people say, "Then you don't believe in the Apostles' Creed?" Because I see that many who believe in the Apostles' Creed have not been made complete. What I see are those who imitate Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who desire to be a blessing to all nations and peoples on earth, and they are all made complete, practicing God's Word.

It is precisely because of this that faith plays a very important role in the church. But faith is nothing else; it is the wisdom of salvation. After reading it, what do we do? The Book of James cannot be integrated into the Bible system; it contradicts the Bible. See what it says: a person is saved not only by faith but also by works. That is wrong. Works are not a foundation and cannot be placed alongside faith.

For example, if a person has bowel cancer and is in excruciating pain every night, does he have works? I do not see his works. In fact, to some extent, he is still discerning good and evil; the evil habit of cancer is still on him. He needs to start repenting. Without works, only with faith, God begins to save.

So, I cannot practice this Book of James. How do I read the Bible? I read it and then I practice it. If I cannot practice it after reading it, if it is not actionable, then what do I do? It is unusable. Since Martin Luther, many people have raised objections, but I have systematically criticized the absurdities in the Book of James. After listening, everyone says, "Are you the only one who is great?" It is not that I am great; the Word of God in the Bible is truly great, forming a system in itself.

So the Old Testament, later adding the epistles of the Apostle Paul, is also within a system. Starting from Moses, adding Samuel, adding Isaiah, adding Daniel, adding Zechariah, and Malachi, and later adding Jesus Christ, and later adding the Apostle Paul, it is still a system. If you are a person who knows how to learn, you should know this.

Today, when we read 2 Timothy, it is also talking about this matter. What Paul is talking about is the Old Testament. John said in Revelation: this gospel cannot be added to, nor can anything be taken away from it. Then he said: Behold, the Lord Jesus is coming soon! Blessed are those who keep the words of the prophecy of this book. The Lord Jesus said: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to what he has done.

So brothers and sisters, we are here together to contemplate the Word of the Lord. Be careful, be alert, do not add to it arbitrarily, nor take away from it arbitrarily. Because this is the serious warning that Revelation gives us: the Word of God is complete and unshakeable. If anyone adds to it, God will add to him the plagues described in this book; if anyone takes away from it, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city. May the Lord help us to keep His way with reverence, and wait for His return. Amen!

If you add anything, you will be cursed; if you subtract anything, you will also suffer loss. What does my explanation mean? Did the old John write the original words of the Bible? No, it was added later. So, has the gospel changed with this addition? No, it is a system, a complete system.

Later, we read that it is the Spirit who gives life; the words that Jesus Christ speaks are spirit and life. Man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God. This is all according to the system. Can you listen to all the words? You cannot finish listening. But it is a system, so the Chinese Mingding Doctrine systematically summarizes the entire system of the gospel in the Bible.

Later, God was among us, bearing witness to the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ with us, so that the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead is also among us. Are we complete today? No, we are still striving. As long as there is still a tiny bit that is not like Jesus Christ, we must continue to strive.

Thank God! I tell you, the Chinese Mingding Doctrine is a very systematic exposition of the gospel of Jesus Christ in this generation. Not only has it expounded it, but it has also put it into practice, so that the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ can be manifested among us. Therefore, I can boldly say that the Chinese Mingding Doctrine will have a profound impact on future generations. Why? Because it is a theology that can be put into practice. If you do it according to it, it is really powerful!

Thank God! The words that Jesus Christ speaks are all practicable. But that thing that Jesus' brother James said, I do not know if it can be done. I cannot do it. If you insist on arguing with me, go and try to do it and show me.

For example, you must believe and not doubt. How much of the faith among us is doubt? A lot. What does it mean to not doubt at all? A little doubt does not matter, but we must study God's Word and constantly gain wisdom. We must know that serving God is dangerous; we must know that serving God requires gaining wisdom, which is intellectual wisdom; serving God is to be made complete. Amen!

May God bless everyone!
