Introduction

Greetings! After reading Genesis Chapter 10, we may find ourselves wondering what it's all about. A whole bunch of unfamiliar names; we know the words, but what do these names signify? Not just you, but even I am unsure of its purpose, what Moses is trying to convey, or what God wants us to glean from this. It seems to be about Noah's descendants—why record this? You don't know them, I don't know them; they don't know me, nor do they know you.

I believe we need to grasp one crucial point: the Bible uses spiritual language to explain spiritual matters. If you can seize this key principle—that God's Word uses spiritual language to interpret spiritual things—you won't see it as merely who begat whom, who established what kingdom, and so on. We must not view it that way. Understand that this is using spiritual language to explain spiritual matters. This is what we in Chinese Mingding Destiny often say.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1 Corinthians 2:13)

Paul says: God's Word is spiritual language explaining spiritual matters. I want to guide you to see today with spiritual eyes. When you look at today spiritually, you'll find it's not much different from then. The theme of this chapter is "Land, Clans, Languages, and Nations are Spiritual Matters." If you ask me, I racked my brains to come up with such a title. Truly, "My hair, now white, is scant to hold the hairpin." Do you understand the meaning of this line? A literary phrase to express worry that causes one to scratch their head, losing hair, unable to tie it up, with only a few strands left, turning into a Mediterranean. This matter, though causing headaches, must be explained clearly.

The most powerful statement in Chinese Mingding Destiny is: Use spiritual language to explain spiritual matters. If you grasp spiritual matters, it's extraordinary. Moses led the Israelites in the wilderness, eating manna today, manna tomorrow; sometimes it caused diarrhea, sometimes constipation. And everyone just listened to Moses telling stories? No! Moses didn't know about this. Moses went to Mount Sinai, to be with God on the mountain.

Moses didn't know about the first chapter of Genesis, because Moses wasn't there. So how did he write it? He was on the mountain with God, and God told him. Did Moses know Noah? No. Did Moses see Abraham? He hadn't seen Abraham either. From Abraham onwards, the stories were passed down orally among the Israelites. But from Genesis 11 onwards, it's extraordinary. I guess God told Moses face to face, and Moses returned from the mountain and wrote these things down, writing Genesis Chapter 10. Who told him? God told him.

Why Moses Wrote This

Why did Moses write this? Because Moses wanted the Israelites to see human history; Moses wanted the Israelites to learn some history. To use history as a mirror, when Moses led the Israelites into the wilderness, most of the people here were dead, so he wanted the Israelites to learn history. I want to ask you: how do you and I view history? With spiritual eyes. With spiritual eyes, people live and then die. Although the nation remains, they are gone. I wonder: were people too serious about living back then? But the nation remains, and you are gone.

There was once such an event: Yu Minhong, Jack Ma, and several industry leaders were arguing: a hundred years from now, Alibaba may no longer exist, but my New Oriental will still be around because education will still exist in a hundred years, but e-commerce may not. Jack Ma said: Education will still exist, but New Oriental may not, New Oriental and education cannot be equated. New Oriental almost disappeared recently, and whether Alibaba will still be around in a while is unknown. I wasn't there at the time, I'm not a big shot. If I were to join that circle, I would shut them down. I would say: Alibaba may still be around, New Oriental may still be around, but one thing is certain: you will all be gone. If you are all gone, Alibaba and New Oriental won't have much to do with you.

Why did Moses write this? Actually, it's not much different from what he wrote before, he rewrote it again: who established what nation... Nimrod was powerful, Alexander was powerful, Churchill was powerful, Roosevelt was powerful, Lincoln was powerful... America is still here, they are all gone. Our great leader Chairman Mao wrote particularly good poems, Qin Huang Han Wu, in Chinese history, Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han were famous emperors of their time. Tang Zong Song Zu, Genghis Khan, to see heroic figures, look to the present. The present is also gone, and in the blink of an eye, people have passed away for many years. So when people walk this road, Moses understands this matter of people very well, that is to say, if you want to be used by God, you must see through human history. If people don't see through this little bit of human stuff, they will be confused.

So we see Russia fighting Ukraine, Ukraine fighting Russia, anyway, you drop a missile, I drop a missile; you drop an egg, I drop an egg. I wonder why Moses wrote this? It is to allow the Israelites to understand one thing: what is the meaning of people fighting in history? Noah's family of eight later divided into so many, Moses wanted to lead the Israelites to do one thing: to kill all the people in the land of Canaan. Do you think Canaan is a good word? Canaan is not a good word, Canaan is the son of Ham whom Noah cursed, so the people living in Canaan are Sidon, Heth, Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites.

Moses wanted to lead the Israelites to kill all these people, and then he told this passage and told the nations of the world again. But you say if Moses really let the Israelites see through it, what's the point of going in and killing and destroying them all? You must have this confusion, and I also have this confusion. Moses wrote this thing to let people know that land, language, clan, and nation are a spiritual matter. Who manages spiritual matters? God manages. That is to say, this clan occupies this piece of land, that clan occupies that piece of land; a country is established in this place, and a country is established in that place, that is managed by God.

It is very clear in the Bible that the boundaries between countries are determined by God. Whether this is determined by God or by man, you slowly ponder. But from a human perspective, they are all created by heroes. But after fighting, it doesn't seem so great in the end, and they all die miserably in the end.

The stories in Chinese history "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Water Margin" are well-known among Chinese people. Moses wrote this to let us know that land, language, nation, and clan are all spiritual matters, that is, God is in control. Did heroes create history, or did God create history? God created it. At this time in Israel, the Israelites were about to enter and seize the land of Canaan and destroy all these people.

What concept did this spread? God has given that land to our ancestors Abraham. The people in this place are full of evil, and we are going to get this land, which is given to us by God. Moses wrote Genesis and also wrote Deuteronomy. It is not because you are good enough that this land is given to you; it is because the people in that place are bad enough that that place is given to you.

Moses wrote this not because you did well enough, but because Abraham did well. It was God who promised this land to Abraham because Abraham did things that pleased God. Everyone gradually understands that the Israelites are to imitate Abraham, or to imitate these people? These people establish a country according to land, clan, language, and nation. If you establish a country that does not conform to God's will, it is normal for God to destroy you. God raised up the Israelites to destroy the Canaanites.

Who was it before this? They destroyed this one for a while, and then that one destroyed this one for a while. All of this is managed by God, it turns out that God is very ruthless. The Chinese Mingding Destiny's understanding of God does not seem to conform to modern popular theology: God is love. How is it love? Don't be deceived by this thing. God keeps His covenant and shows mercy to those who love Him for thousands of generations. If you hate God? God will punish your sins for three to four generations.

Don't think that God has changed, God has not changed to this day. In fact, God has taken the land from those people and given it to those who have it. Do Christians want to get land? Christians get land, but not in this way. A person who lives by God, God will definitely take the land resources and give them to those who please God. Do you read the Bible carefully to see if this is the case? Is that fair? It is fair in God's eyes, but not fair in people's eyes. This is why Moses wrote this. Let me tell you about geopolitics.

Geopolitics

You must know that these are all spiritual matters, and spiritual matters are all managed by God. The affairs of the spiritual realm govern the affairs of the earth, and heaven governs the affairs of the earth. You need to understand geopolitics, and everyone has the opportunity to read books about geopolitics. What is geopolitics? It is according to geographical location, this country, that country, land, language, clan, and nation. If you don't know geopolitics, you will be confused when you look at things.

There is a person who studies geopolitics very well, this person is very powerful, his name is Kissinger. Kissinger studies China, studies geopolitics, and studies these countries on earth. They have successfully predicted various wars, and this war is related to geopolitics. Because people have established a country, is this country yours or mine? Everyone is fighting for it.

There is also a person who is an old friend of the Chinese people, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who is a Pole. Our China can rise in this era and become a great power, and this Brzezinski has made a huge contribution. This geopolitics is a spiritual matter. Why is it a spiritual matter? This Pole hates Russians in his bones, so Brzezinski wrote these books, he witnessed and personally directed the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

Later, Brzezinski successfully predicted many wars, including the war between Russia and Ukraine. Why? Because he analyzed that these people live on earth according to the logical system inside people. He successfully analyzed the things inside people, and used his logical system to deduce, and after he deduced it, he foresaw that Russia would definitely fight Ukraine. The things in this world are very sad. When Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, who signed the guarantee? Who guaranteed it? It's worrying to put your safety in the hands of others.

One is Russia, and the other is the United States, they said: I guarantee your safety. Can Russia guarantee Ukraine's safety? This is very worrying. There is also the fact that the Americans guarantee Ukraine's safety, provided that Ukraine gives up nuclear weapons. Ukraine at that time was the third largest nuclear power. The United States, Russia, and the third is Ukraine, which has more nuclear weapons than China, which is very powerful! After giving up nuclear weapons, the result is being beaten, this is the world.

Why? Because people's heads have grown bumps. Brothers and sisters, don't fall into the theory of geopolitics, because that is human logic. No matter how good something is, it is not as good as God's protection, brothers and sisters must know. Can what people say protect you? Forget it! Let's rely on God to protect us!

You think being the President of the United States is an easy thing, but the Senate and the House of Representatives are still investigating you, and they will impeach you if they say they will impeach you. The politics on this earth is really complicated, just like the saying goes, dogs bite dogs, a mouthful of hair, all are struggles for interests, it's pure nonsense. After we see these things, we develop a habit, do you trust God or trust people?

From a spiritual point of view of geopolitics, this thing can successfully predict wars, but Brzezinski did not foresee the rise of China. Our God is the God who controls the universe, and He has created opportunities for China in this era again and again. Chinese people think that these opportunities seem to be accidental, but in fact God has a wonderful will in the Chinese people in this era.

Everyone carefully ponders, some things are coincidental. Once I went to a place and met a pastor named Paul. That night, this Pastor Paul couldn't sleep, so he sat in the living room, and I also happened to be unable to sleep and was sitting in the living room. When we were chatting, this Pastor Paul told me some things that surprised me!

He said: Do you know? China implemented the one-child policy for 33 years. Do you know what these 33 years mean? He said: Jesus was martyred at the age of 33. If China is all only children, then aren't they all firstborns? The generation of only children will all turn to God. This is well said, the firstborn are all given to Jehovah God, then wouldn't China all belong to Jehovah God? I think this is really a good thing! God has such a wonderful work in our Chinese people!

I tell you, God wants to raise up the Chinese in this era, God wants to raise up the Chinese people to serve Him, how good it would be if all of China turned to our God! It sounds powerful! Our God is going to bless our Chinese people in this era, and China is going to stand up in the forest of nations in this world, how good! Therefore, the firstborn all belong to God. Of course, this is said to the Israelites.

What I mean by this is, don't fall into this trap of geopolitics, that is a human logical system. No matter how good something is, it is not as good as God's protection, it is not as good as God protecting you! The history of this human being is really directed by God.

Human History is the History of Land, Clans, Nations, and Heroes

Speaking of Emperor Wu of Han being very awesome, Qin Shi Huang being very awesome, later the Qing Dynasty royal family, he was not Han Chinese but Manchu, as a result, the Qing Dynasty people ruled China for hundreds of years, and China's land expanded a lot. It sounds like we are very proud, but in fact, you have nothing to be proud of. Recovering Tibet, recovering Taiwan, etc... are all these. After we listen to it, we feel very proud. If you feel very proud, then you may have fallen into a wrong concept, that thing is called a hero, that is, an English martial famous person.

So the logic on this earth is a very complete logical system. Although human history is the history of land, clans, nations, and heroes, it would be troublesome if people see only human logic through this history. If you see through these histories that people are alive, although that China is still there, Emperor Qianlong is not there, Emperor Yongzheng is not there, Emperor Kangxi is not there, and Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang Zhu Chongba is not there. Sad! We still thought that this sentence: in the sight of the LORD a mighty hunter, was praising him.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. (Genesis 10:8-9)

In fact, all people who live by the sword in their hands are cursed. You say how do you know? Because it is written later? When Moses wrote this, he had actually conceived the entire Genesis. You will find that the earth is full of violence and what is it related to? It is related to land. You grab this piece of land, and I also grab this piece of land; I knock you down, and I occupy this piece of land; you knock me down again, and you occupy this piece of land again. It's this thing, it seems to be doing it very seriously?

It's troublesome for people to be too serious. This nation conquered that nation and incorporated it; that nation conquered this nation again and incorporated it, all these things. Then, some people became heroes, the winner is the hero and the loser is the thief! It's such a history. In fact, if you look at it with spiritual eyes, what is the meaning of it? Therefore, Moses really wanted to tell the Israelites: we are going to establish a new country in this place in the land of Canaan, no longer relying on human logic, no longer relying on swords, no longer relying on guns, no longer relying on horses, but relying on Jehovah God to establish a country.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must know that human history is these, but what can you get if you read too much history? These things are still there, but you are no longer there. What does this have to do with you? What does it have to do with Emperor Wu of Han? What does it have to do with Qin Shi Huang? It's very tragic! People live in war all their lives, and later they find that it is all vanity of vanities. Wouldn't it be good if he had recognized vanity earlier? What is the meaning of it? It's all human logical systems. Human logical systems will worship heroes, this is the confusion of heroes!

The Confusion of Heroes

And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth… And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. (Genesis 7:17, 21-23)

In the days of Noah, heroes were washed away by the flood. Shem was still alive at this time, wasn't he? Those who personally experienced the flood were still alive, so people were still very clear about the flood. The confusion of heroes! So, when Moses wrote this, Nimrod was more famous than Noah! Nimrod was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Do you think this is a compliment to him before the Lord? Or is it a praise? Or a belittling? Actually, this is a confusion of man, people's confusion about heroes.

Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. (Genesis 10:8-9)

People put this worldly logical system on the name of the Lord. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Isn't that inviting anger before the Lord God? However, when people in that generation said this, it was not a derogatory meaning! People in that generation thought: Wow! This is amazing; Wow, Genghis Khan, Eurasia; Wow, the Persian Empire, a great empire; Wow, Qin Huang and Han Wu... all these. If you read history carefully, the Sui and Tang Dynasties all talk about heroes, and we all think it's amazing.

Wow, a mighty hunter before the Lord, we are filled with confusion. Then, we go to envy this thing, to pursue this thing, and as a result, we become very tired. It is very hard to live by the sword. Otherwise, you try it. When you study at school, ah! I want to be a top student. It's not something you can do if you want to. After you're done, you become a poor student. People worship these things. After the child returns home, the parents ask: Why did you not do as well as my colleague's child in the exam?

Sometimes colleagues work together, and their children and your children go to school together. His child gets first place, and your child gets last place. You will say: He is first, why are you last? I can't save face. Then someone will say: Look how blessed he is to get first place. Is that so? Maybe it is. But the problem is that we will have a lot of confusion because of this. So, heroes bring a lot of confusion. We have to make a decision in our lives, especially if you are really not good, and you always want to be good, do you think you live a hard life?

Maybe there are quite a few people who live a hard life. When many people mention the richest man, they can't wait to be his mistress, but they don't have the opportunity to be a mistress. This system is too bad. This one-man-one-woman system is too bad. His wife occupies that position, and they don't even have a position. What kind of brains are these? Everyone has a deep confusion about these things.

Let me tell you a joke. I have a classmate who didn't get married when she reached marriageable age. Why didn't she get married? Because those she liked all had wives, and those she didn't like didn't have wives either. So, she hated this one-man-one-woman system! She often posts these things in her circle of friends, thinking that if she becomes an emperor in the future, she will change this one-man-one-woman system to a one-man-multiple-women system. It sounds very strange. Why are you a woman and still talking about one-man-multiple-women? I guess! That's the problem.

Don't think she has a bad brain, she has a good brain, she calculates the accounts very clearly! Why one-man-multiple-women? Because there are too many scumbags, worshiping heroes. It's easy to have many heroes, but the problem is that there are too many useless people. If you marry a scumbag, marry a useless person, isn't that a disaster? I also think so, I also think it is indeed a tragedy for sisters to marry a scumbag. This is the confusion about heroes.

I think if everyone knows God, lives in Mingding Destiny, and pours all our emotions on our God, I tell you, you will be great. Because you are pursuing the knowledge of spiritual things, not worldly things, and you have seen through these worldly things. So brothers and sisters must know that in that era, God scattered all people on the earth. The sentence "scattered on the earth" just contradicts what is written in chapter eleven.

These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. (Genesis 10:32)

Sometimes writing a book must be contradictory. Actually, when were they scattered on the earth? It was at the Tower of Babel that they were scattered on the earth. This chapter talks about the nations on the earth based on this chapter eleven, scattered on the earth.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:9)

Scattering on the earth is God's work. What is the work of the Antichrist? One day you will see that the whole world becomes a unified country, that is the country of the Antichrist. So in the years of the Tower of Babel, it was said that the Antichrist would unite the whole world together, so that the world would be completely under the control of the devil. So everyone began to know that scattering on the earth and becoming their own nations, the nations fought each other.

Some people say, why is God like this! Because when the people on the earth are all united, the first thing they resist is God. Everyone slowly understands that the Book of Revelation writes that once the Antichrist unifies the world, the whole world will be in the hands of the Antichrist. Is the Antichrist a person or a spirit? The Antichrist is a spirit, don't think that the Antichrist is a person. Then two preachers will be killed. After they are killed, they are placed on the street, anger enters them, and then they are resurrected and ascended to heaven, and Jesus Christ will come again for the second time. Then many Christians are raptured, and after that is 666, imprinted with the mark of the devil. At that time, people will basically not be able to live. This is the matter of scattering on the earth, this is the confusion of heroes. Heroes always want to unify the world.

God Wants to See If There Are Any Who Seek, Any Who Understand

There are so many nations on the earth, so many thrones, and each throne becomes a snare. Anyway, it's very hard there, not easy. Does everyone think it's good to be a king? Actually, it's not good to be a king, you have to bear the responsibility of the entire nation. When you see these things, you will have a deep confusion: What is the meaning of this? There is no meaning. God wants to see if there are any who seek, any who understand.

Why do I know? Because in chapter twelve, generation after generation passed, and when it came to Abraham, there was finally one who sought. Everyone is trapped by the logical system of this world, the pride of heroes. Those who are heroes are very proud, and those who are not heroes want to marry heroes. If you are a man, don't marry. Like sisters who want to marry Nimrod, but Nimrod has a wife, it doesn't matter, one more is not too many.

But if you see through it, what one-man-one-woman, one-man-multiple-women, multiple-men-one-woman, is meaningless. After watching for a long time, after hundreds of years, from Noah to Abraham, there were about four hundred years. After four hundred years, suddenly Abraham came out. Abraham was thinking: What am I doing? He was also a patriarch, a very rich and powerful person. But Abraham felt that this was meaningless. Actually, when Moses wrote this chapter ten, mentioning these names was just to lay the groundwork. In the end, these people passed away in this world, generation after generation. This chapter ten talks about the land, languages, nations, and clans are all spiritual matters. Spiritual matters are all controlled by God. People think that they can live by their own swords and can wrestle with God. They can't wrestle with God! So the boundaries are all set by God.

But there are also these, one moment this person occupies this land, and the next moment that person occupies that land. When we watch the news, sometimes we are Russian fans, and sometimes we are Ukrainian fans. We are concerned: Has Russia won, has Ukraine won. Ukrainian fans hope that Ukraine wins, and Russian fans hope that Russia wins. Actually, it doesn't seem to have much meaning. If we feel that these things have no meaning, then what are you seeking? Seek God. Because in the end, no matter what great emperor he is, one day all things will pass away. Although he fought very seriously for his own nation, in the end, what he says doesn't count.

Like Hitler was so powerful, he also died miserably in the end. What you say doesn't count, what heroes say doesn't count, what nations say doesn't count. Then who counts? God counts. So God is watching to see if there are any who seek, any who understand. After four hundred years, there was an Abraham who sought God. To seek God, you must see through everything in the world. If you can't even see through the confusion of heroes, can't even see through the matter of nations, read the history of mankind, but conclude: Genghis Khan, Emperor Wu of Han, Qin Shi Huang, Zhuge Liang are very powerful! Still sighing, one day you will be almost the same as them. I just think what is this doing. Okay, brothers and sisters, come out of the confusion and start seeking God.

Maybe you didn't understand, I'll tell you where the reason is? The reason is that you think Genghis Khan is very powerful! Emperor Wu of Han is very powerful! Because people are in that kind of situation, they will think about how to make their business bigger and stronger, and bring over other people's customers. Actually, in the end, it doesn't mean anything. If you love God, God will surely give you the land. God is not a God who does not eat the food of mortals, because God controls the boundaries of this earth, so you must know that those who seek God lack no good thing.

Finally, I want to add one more sentence, everyone starts to learn to have knowledge, because ignorance is a very terrible thing. If people don't use knowledge to understand things, they think Nimrod is good at first glance, then it's over. Even if you don't become Nimrod, you are cursed! Don't be an ignorant person, come out of ignorance.

10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
