【Sermon】- You Have Covered Yourself With Anger And Have Slain Without Pity

2025-10-26 9 Lamentations Series

Introduction

Good morning. This sermon presents a formidable challenge, even for myself. I have been reading Jeremiah's Lamentations, Chapter 3, every day from last Sunday to this Sunday, and I must confess, I struggled to grasp its meaning. I consider myself a reasonably capable reader, yet I found myself perplexed. What exactly is being conveyed? It seems disjointed, doesn't it? At times, there's an apparent faith in God, while at other moments, doubt seems to prevail. After each reading, I was left in a state of confusion, unable to discern a clear direction.

So, what is the central theme of Lamentations, Chapter 3? "He has walled me about so that I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains." Hearing this, one might question, "Is this truly Christianity? Is this the God we profess to believe in?" If you ask me, I am inclined to ask myself the same question. Yet, our God is indeed such that we must recognize that He truly acts in this manner, executing judgment without leniency. Indeed, the facts bear this out.

I wrestled with this for a week, pondering diligently. How did I arrive at this theme? I inquired, "God, what is it that you wish to convey to us through this chapter?" Remarkably, following this line of inquiry proved fruitful. When reading the Bible, it is imperative to discern what God intends to communicate. Failure to do so can lead to complications. If you fail to discern God's message and instead read only what you desire to read, trouble ensues.

If you read what you want to read, it will be bad. Every morning these are new, your faithfulness is great. Do you want Jeremiah's new? Jeremiah was beaten black and blue, and after two days he was put in prison again, and then put in the sewer, and the sludge covered his head. Oh, I was scared to death. Oh my God, people can't breathe in there. Do you want that new? So you can't read the Bible like that.

God's perspective is paramount; your perspective is inconsequential. How vast is the difference between human and divine perspectives? Humans observe these things and exclaim, "Oh God, why?" God retorts, "I should be asking you why!" Indeed, once individuals form their own opinions, it becomes exceedingly difficult to receive God's perspective. Therefore, remember the theme of this sermon: God Himself is shrouded in wrath, and He executes judgment without leniency. Examine yourselves to see if you are among those who are not spared.

I tell you, God's view is that living to ten, twenty, or a hundred years old is the same when you die, all the same. God's view is that living in this world is all vanity of vanities, meaningless. Do you understand? This is God's view. It's like we see ants crawling busily on the ground, so what is God's view? You accumulate wealth for yourself, but it cannot save your life, but people's views are different.

So people's views are all natural, worldly, and carnal. You are born as a lump of flesh, and then grow up little by little from this flesh, and the consideration of the flesh increases day by day, the knowledge of good and evil increases day by day, and the love of the world increases day by day, which is different from God's view. God's view is: Aren't you increasing day by day? I'll give you some color to see, I'll give you a little anger.

So in this world, there are really too few people who see through it. I wish our brothers and sisters could see through it, see through a little bit through the third chapter of Lamentations, and stop being so serious. Once a brother came among us to give his boss face because his boss believed in the Lord. His boss came because his daughter had cancer at the age of 28 and died miserably. I also served him.

So what was he thinking? Oh, my daughter is 28 years old, works hard, and is a very good employee. But a good employee can't stop God's anger, can he? A good employee is a good lover of the world, right? Then you know what? He said, I have never had a passionate love affair before I died. See how powerful this world's concept is? People are filled with these things.

People look at this vast world, oh, they are dizzy, and sometimes we are quite envious, aren't we? But one generation passes away, and another generation comes, and people's views are completely different from God's views. Probably last year, the four major families in Myanmar held a birthday celebration, which was simply magnificent, magnificent. As a result? The four major families engaged in telecom fraud, making money and killing people.

There are kidney cuts, liver cuts, and head cuts. So in our era, we heard that these defrauded people hated the scammers. God, when will you take care of it? It's taken care of, isn't it? This year, all four major families were wiped out. Are they still crazy? Is there still glory? Gone, all gone. The granddaughter in the family was sentenced to death at the age of twenty-something.

I tell you, many people don't understand how they died until they die. We must know from now on that people die in their own worldly logic system. The worldly logic system naturally provokes God's anger. When God's anger is manifested and comes, I dare to say that no one can escape, no one can escape, and in the end it is all tragedy.

A sister came among us a few years ago, and yesterday her pastor shared her story with me. He has been in the church for many years and still does administration in the church. In my words, he has gone astray. Then, his child wets the bed. He is quite old, but he wets the bed, and no matter how he is treated, he cannot be cured. One master and divine healer after another came, but it was useless. Later, another master came to build a world-famous pastor and lived in his house, but the child's bedwetting was still not resolved.

Then you know what? He has a very good sister. This good sister shares her dreams and visions with him every day. Wow, it's amazing. It's a very spiritual image. Seeing him is like seeing the spiritual world. As a result? As a result, our sister took his bedwetting son to him, but it was useless. You see Jesus every day, but in the end you can't even deal with bedwetting.

In the end, after searching and searching, we found our place, and the child's bedwetting improved significantly after a while. Why? Because bedwetting is Lao Ma, and Lao Ma has a good relationship with me. Some people say, how can you have a good relationship with Lao Ma? That's because we often meet on the battlefield, and we are evenly matched. We have a good relationship. Lao Ma is considered to be subdued by me.

If you really go to the spiritual world and chat with Lao Ma, he still admires me. Why? Because he has nothing in me. Although I am still striving to pursue, I have to tell you that worldly and carnal things have nothing in me. I don't love living as much as so many people, do I? I don't love money as much as so many people. I don't want to be a famous pastor, and I don't want to do big things and get stronger and then go to jail. I just want to walk well in God's words and will.

As a result, her very spiritual good sister, in the blink of an eye, several years have passed, and recently she got blood cancer, which is quite serious. After she came, she looked for our sister, and our sister made eighteen turns, for fear of touching the self-esteem in her. I tell you, Christians have a very strong self-esteem, which is more important to her than God's words.

After making eighteen turns, I weakly shared that this thing is called a curse, which is terrible and stirred up a hornet's nest. You are cursed. This kind of reaction is not the first time our sister has experienced it, but according to our service experience, what is cancer if it is not a curse? If you get cancer, you still don't know that you didn't do it right, and you don't know that you are an instrument of God's anger and manifestation of anger. You don't know how to fear God, and you don't know that God really doesn't care about killing one more.

Many people read God's words, but they don't accept them at all. I can tell you that although the Israelites received the Five Books of Moses from Moses, and later had the prophet Samuel, and the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, etc. But the history of Israel is a history of provoking God's anger.

God himself is covered with anger, and then executes killing, without sparing. So the Israelites, from the day they left Egypt, were a nation that pleased God's anger. Is it terrifying or not? From the day Christians believe in the Lord, do they embark on the old path of the Israelites? It's too miserable, too miserable. Many Christians don't know how they died until they die, and they still die with self-righteousness.

What God cares about, people don't care about. What people care about is what God doesn't care about. This thing is too deadly. If you don't care about what God cares about, and God doesn't care about what you care about, what should you do? That's too much trouble, and there's no way to listen to God's words. So after reading the third chapter of Jeremiah, it is difficult for us to understand Jeremiah. He has suffered so many sins, why doesn't God take care of it?

Jeremiah kept proclaiming God's judgment, but the Israelites did not listen or could not listen. The country has already been taken away by Babylon, and they are still fighting against God. There is a problem, what God cares about, the Israelites don't care about, what God doesn't care about, people care about, that's all. God doesn't really care if people suffer more, and doesn't care if people suffer more sins, even if you are Jeremiah, you are Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters must know that even if you are Jesus Christ, you go to the cross, die, and are buried, God does not spare you. Why? The reason is very simple. God hates sin. You ask me what sin is? Sin is loving the world, considering the flesh, and knowing good and evil. I highly summarize and summarize sin. Love the world, have you killed anyone? You didn't kill anyone. Did you set a fire? You didn't set a fire, but you love the world.

If you love the world and love money, the love of God is not in you. These three old things highly summarize and summarize people's sins. Look at the concepts in people's hearts, and their views on living are all worldly. Then God's hatred of sin is manifested in how you love the world, how you consider the flesh, and how you know good and evil. God will manifest His anger, and even if you die, God doesn't care much.

The concepts in people's hearts determine whether we receive God's anger or God's joy. If the concepts in our hearts are godly, and we care about what God cares about, then you will definitely be used by God. Although you may suffer some sins in serving, you will be with God's glory. The sins that Jeremiah suffered have God's glory to speak of. The sins that Jesus Christ suffered for us have glory to speak of.

What glory is there in cancer? Oh, I tell you, cancer is terrible. Yesterday a brother shared with me that one of his colleagues had lung cancer. During the operation, a basin of cancer cells was taken out of his chest cavity. Oh my God, how much sin would a basin have to suffer? Later he died.

God's hatred of sin is beyond our imagination, and God also turns his face away from Jesus Christ, will he care about you? He doesn't care much either. If you harden your neck, then harden it, and see whether God is hard or you are hard. If people in the world don't know that living is vanity of vanities, it is a tragedy.

Some time ago, when we were studying Ecclesiastes, we once said a sentence, I said that before Genesis should be Ecclesiastes. The vanity of vanities mentioned in Ecclesiastes is a very important foundation. If living is vanity of vanities, I ask you, if you die at the age of ten, die at the age of twenty, die at the age of thirty, die at the age of fifty, die at the age of eighty, there is no difference. You say it's different, then you think it's different, I think it's all the same.

So this person, the more he wants to live, the more he will die. Why do you want to live? You say who doesn't want to live? There is one person here who doesn't want to live very much, because I don't want to live very much. When I was very young, I said, living is really boring, let's die. But I can't die when I'm old. Some people always want to live, and they treat it left and right, but in the end they treat it to death.

Some years ago, I was driving a sister home when she shared about her husband's younger brother's nosebleeds and so on. I then shared my own symptoms when I had nosebleeds. After comparing notes, I told her my symptoms were exactly the same as his. Wouldn't the average person be terrified? Her husband's brother was the same age as me, with the same symptoms. After examination, it turned out to be leukemia.

I didn't get checked, and I didn't quite believe in the examination or the doctors. If doctors could cure it, then we would believe, right? But even if doctors cure it, it's just a matter of probability. Some get better without treatment. Nine months later, his brother was lying in a coffin, and I attended the funeral.

His face was exposed through the glass window. Unlike in China, where the body is just laid out, in Singapore, they cover the coffin to prevent odors. My goodness, there he was lying. I said, "Brother, you're lying here, and I'm standing outside. Didn't you want to live? You couldn't even survive. I don't want to live, so why would I seek treatment?"

So, people's view of life is crucial. If you desperately want to live, you might die even faster. The reason is simple: it's called a worldly mindset. Therefore, people's mindset is very important. To me, life is vanity of vanities. Living one more day or one less day makes no difference.

If you live so earnestly and then develop a tumor, and you desperately want to live, then go for treatment while seeking my prayers. Remember, the mindset of desperately wanting to live comes from the spirit of death. Because living in this world is actually without hope, whether you die early or late. If you have a Godly mindset, if I live in this world with a God-like mindset, then it's not so easy to die.

So, brothers and sisters, you must know God. God is obscured by His own anger, executing slaughter without pity, because people's worldly mindset is too strong. So, I want to dismantle the worldly logic within everyone. There's so much worldly logic; the entire Bible speaks of these things. In Matthew, it's called two kingdoms, two logical systems, two sets of values.

If you listen to my Bible study, last Friday's "Nehemiah's Way to Wealth," if you look at it with worldly logic, you won't understand it because Nehemiah's logic is Godly. The question then arises: with worldly logic, can you get what you want? Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. But with a Godly logical system, you lack no good thing.

So, brothers and sisters, you must know that living in a worldly logical system, you are naturally subject to God's judgment. It's not that God is bad. If you say He's bad, there's nothing you can do about it, is there? I want to tell you that God is such a God. People are killed by their own sins, by the love of the world, and by indulging the flesh. If you see God killing people, it's these people.

Scripture

You have covered Yourself with wrath and pursued us; You have slain without pity. You have covered Yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through. (Lamentations 3:43-44)

Prayer

God, open our eyes, let us know You, let us know Your wrath. Let us know how to change ourselves under Your wrath, let our hearts turn back to You, let us care about what You care about, and completely destroy the worldly logical system within us. Act according to Your will, so that we may be saved from Your wrath.

Let us be filled with Your words, let us live by Your word. Let us be able to escape Your wrath, so as not to perish, let us understand Your logic, understand Your word. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

When Jeremiah wrote Lamentations, Jerusalem had already been broken through by the iron hooves of Babylon and besieged for a year and a half. When Jerusalem was besieged, these soldiers seemed particularly patriotic and ambitious. "I want to resist the Japanese devils, I want to resist the Babylonian devils." Doesn't that sound good? Right? Yue Fei loved his country and resisted the elite troops. How great, but God may not see it that way.

Jeremiah was in the city all day saying, "Surrender! Surrender! These are the Babylonian devils sent by God." What happened? The soldiers thought, "Isn't this disrupting military morale?" The Israelite soldiers heard that this was sent by God, and the prophet Jeremiah was shouting there, so they arrested him and put him in prison.

As a result, they beat Jeremiah up, his face was bruised and swollen. Oh my goodness, his face was bruised and swollen, you understand, his eyes were like pandas. The next day, Jeremiah, with panda eyes, was again saying, "Surrender! Surrender!" This made the regimental commanders, division commanders, and army commanders angry, disrupting military morale. They threw him into the sewer. Threw him into the mud in the sewer.

Oh, I tell you, that stench. As a result, they put him in the sewer, and the stench was going to suffocate him. But King Zedekiah said, "Quickly save him, quickly save him." Then after a while, he invited Jeremiah to his palace, "Tell me the truth." Jeremiah said, "If I tell you the truth, will you not kill me? They all threw me into the sewer." "I won't kill you, I guarantee I won't kill you, tell me the truth." The truth is that you have to surrender.

The king heard this, "Difficult, how difficult." Right? "I may not have military power in my hands. If I let them surrender, won't they throw me into the sewer too? Although I am a king, I am not too far from the sewer." Thinking about it, surrender is so difficult. Do you all know that politics is very complicated? Don't think that you are the king and you have the final say.

That is a worldly logical system that binds people tightly. People, living is really not easy. Start a company, start making mobile phones, "Oh, making mobile phones, what if I get sanctioned? I want to start making chips, no, I want to make cars." Making cars, it never ends. Later you say, "I don't want to do it anymore," and it's still not okay. All are tied together, like a net that binds people tightly. Zedekiah was also like this.

So, Jeremiah actually suffered a lot for speaking God's word. But he still insisted on speaking God's word. This is what we find difficult to understand. He had already been beaten black and blue, and before the swelling had subsided, he was thrown into the sewer. We don't quite understand this spiritual height.

I can tell you, if you want to become a prophet of God, there is a prerequisite: you have to see through life and death. See through the trivial matters of people's lives. Anyway, that's how it is. I came out of my mother's womb, and I wasn't even asked for my consent to be brought down. Since I'm down, then I'm down. From now on, I want to live with such values. I live to live for God, and I am willing to suffer.

Wasn't Jeremiah suffering? Beaten black and blue, thrown into the sewer tomorrow, put in prison for a while. "I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath." This is the rod of wrath, manifested on the Israelites, Jeremiah is no exception.

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath. He has led me and made me walk in darkness and not in light. Surely He has turned His hand against me time and time again throughout the day. He has led me and made me walk in darkness and not in light. Surely He has turned His hand against me time and time again throughout the day. (Lamentations 3:1-3)

These sufferings were added to Jeremiah by God. Why was it added to Jeremiah? Not for others, just the indescribable inner pain. Saying this for a while, saying that for a while. So, I read Lamentations Chapter 3, and I didn't finish reading it in a week, I was confused by Jeremiah.

I tell you, if a person's hope is not in this world, and God's word comes to me and says, "Suffer," then complete God's Mingding Doctrine in us, even if tears flow like a river, we will not hesitate. This is a concept of living. The prophet proclaims God's word, and later Jeremiah became the laughingstock of Israel. They composed a song, "Why cry, no promise." Jeremiah cried, "Why are you crying, why are you choking?" Jeremiah became a laughingstock, proclaiming God's word, becoming the laughingstock of people.

I tell you, God sent a prophet, and he was killed. Then He sent another prophet, and he was killed again. Later He sent His son, and he was also killed. This became a sign of human destruction. Remember, why do prophets suffer? The suffering of the prophets, the killing of Jesus, shows how evil the logical system of this world is.

I can tell you, a Christian, filled with a worldly logical system, even if Jesus comes, you are the one who is killing Jesus. Jesus was not killed by others, Jesus was killed by the worldly logical system. Why? Because it blocked these people's path to wealth. Blocking people's path to wealth is like killing their parents.

Two kingdoms, two sets of values, two logical systems. Living in a worldly logical system, you don't even know how you died. Living in a Godly logical system, you live for God's Mingding Doctrine in us, and you also die for this Mingding Doctrine. Thank God. I tell you, this passage is about this. What should be highlighted? To highlight what kind of God God is, the rest is that we must strive to choose, to see whether we choose the worldly or the Godly.

The Suffering of the Prophets Reveals Human Sin

Those military commanders, in order to defend the country, in order to resist the Babylonian devils, were they wrong? Tell me, were they wrong? No, right? If people come to attack our country, is it wrong for us to stand up? From a human perspective, there is no problem at all, you are a hero, right? You are a hero. But to the Babylonian devils, you are a coward. We humans are like this in the world, what's the point? It's all worldly things. Remember, worldly things are naturally provoking God's anger.

I think our brothers and sisters must know that Jesus Christ and all the prophets are abused in this generation for proclaiming God's word, it's normal. Sometimes I think, "Oh, God, if this happens to me, it's a bit difficult." If you want me to say to people, "You are all wrong, you must believe in Chinese Mingding Doctrine..." I won't say it, what am I saying that for? Wouldn't I be beaten up? Right? I'd slip away.

Actually, the problem is that throughout the ages, prophets cannot die outside of Jerusalem. What is Jerusalem? It is the church. If you are in the church and want to confront the worldly logical system, you will also be persecuted. I thank God, I put what I say on the website, listen if you listen, ignore it if you don't, they can't come to me from afar. If they spray me on the internet, then let them spray. So, how can what we say be widely accepted? It's very difficult. Not to mention widely accepted, it's good enough not to be destroyed.

So, prophets are naturally going to challenge the logical system of this world; prophets are naturally going to pay the price for this; prophets are naturally going to challenge this worldly religious system. Let's talk about whether the church should participate in these politics of the world. Many people participate in politics, support this president and that president, and then they are shot and assassinated, and they think they are martyred.

There are two groups of Christians: one group was martyred, while the other group was fighting tooth and nail. What is the point of all that? Throughout history, politics has always belonged to the world. The worldly logic system is very rigorous, but God's words are also recorded in the Bible. So why are there so many different interpretations? Some people interpret God as Santa Claus, giving gifts to everyone.

People are punished for their own sins

"How can a living man complain, when punished for his sins?" (Lamentations 3:39)

You get cancer and blame heaven and earth. You get a disease that prevents you from eating certain foods and blame heaven and earth. You suffer from this disease and that disease, enduring a lot of suffering. But you never blame the worldly logic system within yourself. The reason is simple: this system is too rigorous. No matter how you think about it, you can't find anything wrong with it, right?

Let me explain one thing to you. For example, I have to have money to live. I have to pay rent and mortgage next month, so I need money. How can I get money? I have to go to work and get a salary. Can you challenge that? Don't I have to be afraid of my boss at work? I have to be afraid of my boss. These worldly things are taking away what belongs to God. Are you ultimately afraid of your boss, your job, or God? This is too difficult, isn't it?

Am I challenging everyone's bottom line a bit? So people are punished for their own sins. Trust in God! Trust in God! Can that person survive? For example, if you are an official now, can you survive without being corrupt? How can you survive in that system without being corrupt? It's too difficult.

So it's too difficult for people to come out of this worldly logic system. This is precisely why it's so difficult to overcome the old self. Who isn't afraid of death? Who doesn't want to live? This worldly logic system is very difficult to break through, but these are sins.

So listen carefully to the three things I always talk about. Loving the world—what if you don't love the world? Indulging the flesh—what if you don't indulge the flesh? Discerning good and evil—if I don't discern good and evil, I'll lose my standard of judgment. So people are punished for their own sins. The Israelites were punished because they lived in that worldly logic system.

Think about the high priests at that time. They carved up the temple into several pieces, renting out many small stalls. When people came to offer sacrifices, there were places to exchange money, places to exchange pigeons, places to exchange sheep, places to exchange everything. Why wouldn't I make money if I could? I even think this method is good—subletting. Subletting can help cover some of the temple's operating costs. Think about it, right? I have to do it this way. I almost fell into this trap myself. I have to do some business to support the church. This is so terrible and scary. You can easily fall into the world's logic system and provoke God's anger.

So work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Later, I tried my best to pull myself back to this side. The church is supported by God. The church is the body of Jesus Christ. The church must make a covenant with God. The church must become a blessing to many people. The church is not short of money. Is it difficult? It's very difficult.

Once, I met a person from Henan who loved the Lord very much. He wanted to earn a lot of money to support the poor preachers. But he didn't support the preachers well, and he lost his money and his business went bankrupt. Then, every night at one o'clock, something would call him to get up and pray for his money. So he called me at one o'clock in the morning and said, "Help me pray for my money." I said, "Pray for your money? I've never heard of that before." He said, "The Holy Spirit wakes me up every night at one o'clock and tells me to pray for my money."

People die without even knowing how. It sounds so reasonable. People are punished for their own sins. The Israelites loved their country very much. They also loved the temple very much and wanted to contribute to God in the temple. Right? "I want to protect God's temple." It sounds very noble, but they didn't know that Babylon was brought by God himself, not only to destroy Israel and Judah but also to tear down the temple!

So, as I said, God is shrouded in His own anger, carrying out slaughter without pity. God will not only tear down Israel and Judah but also tear down His own temple and His own altar. Is that a matter of life and death? People are punished for their own sins. God doesn't care much about these trivial matters.

We have sinned and rebelled, and you have not forgiven

"We have transgressed and rebelled; you have not forgiven." (Lamentations 3:42)

We have sinned and rebelled, and you have not forgiven. Doesn't that sound upsetting? Not forgiven. Why not forgiven? How can you be forgiven if you live in the worldly logic system? Right? How can people be forgiven if they don't repent? People sin and then rebel. "Am I wrong to do this? God, why are you treating us this way? Is there anything wrong with what I'm doing?"

"I want to guard Jerusalem. I want to guard your temple. I want to live and die with your temple." Oh my goodness, it seems like he's really needed. Who needs you to live and die with them? Just listen to Jeremiah's words. If you don't listen to Jeremiah's words, you'll get the whole goal wrong.

"Jeremiah is a false prophet. He says, 'Let us surrender to Babylon.' I want to protect your temple." Oh my goodness, they've got it all wrong. Remember, don't rebel. God doesn't care about these things. God cares about people's hearts. The worldly logic system inside people is very rigorous and very difficult to tear down. Only by completely tearing it down and then building a logic system based on God's words can you understand.

Otherwise, if you look at God's words with worldly concepts, you can't understand them. It's very difficult to understand. If you look carefully at the words in the Bible, it's very difficult to understand with the worldly logic system. So people sin, and God does not forgive rebellion. If you sin, repent, and build on the foundation of God's words, then God will forgive you. We brothers and sisters must know that rebellion is very evil. Is what you believe to be God's word?

Chinese Mingding Doctrine never believes that we possess the truth. We strive to seek the truth. If we have ten points of strength, we will use twelve points of strength. We use all our strength, wholeheartedly, with all our might. One hundred and twenty percent of our strength, striving to know God. If we already know God, if we already have the truth, then we don't need to seek it anymore. Wouldn't that become God's wrath?

You carry out slaughter without pity

If you observe carefully, out of the 600,000 Israelites, 600,000 soldiers, only Joshua and Caleb entered the land of Canaan. The others were killed by God in the wilderness. How ruthless. When Korah rebelled, the ground cracked open and swallowed them. How did it crack? How did it swallow them? Let's not study that. I'm not an archaeologist.

God kills people like flies. I think, did God kill more people than Hitler? That's not because of anything else, but because of people's own sins, punished for their own sins. People sin and rebel, and God does not forgive. If you are afraid when you hear me speak, you should be afraid. The tragedy of a person's life is like this. So from now on, get rid of those seemingly reasonable, seemingly natural logics inside us. Because those are not God's words, they are all people's self-righteousness.

Last night, a sister sent me a message. She said, "Oh, I can't get confused when I get old. Getting confused like my mother." She said to her husband, "Will I be like my mother when I get old?" Her husband said, "You don't have to wait until you get old. You already are." Oh my goodness. She already is and still thinks she's good. People see themselves very strangely, like looking in a funhouse mirror.

I think people should often reflect on whether they are stubborn. If you are, change it quickly. Before God carries out slaughter, don't go that way. Don't fail to study hard in elementary school and middle school, and then fail to get into college, and then wonder why you didn't get in. What were you doing earlier? Right? Living and living, not working hard at twenty, not working hard at thirty, and then not having money to spend at forty, not having a job, and then wondering why you are like this.

Never walk into sin, and don't insist that you are right when you sin, rebelling. Once you walk there, what's left is God carrying out slaughter, without pity. So don't go there. Do you understand? Don't wait until you're at your wit's end, unable to turn things around, to regret it.

Before you get those hard-to-deal-with diseases, you've actually walked a long way. Never care about your own feelings. Care about God's logic. Before you reach a dead end, quickly change lanes, quickly turn around and walk towards blessing, knowing that you didn't do it right.

Because of the destruction of my people, my eyes flow with rivers of tears

"My eyes flow with rivers of water because of the destruction of my people. My eyes will flow unceasingly, without respite, until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees." (Lamentations 3:48-50)

It's not easy being a prophet. These hooligans put him in prison and beat him black and blue. In the end, these people brought about destruction. But the prophet still prayed for them, weeping profusely for them. What happened? They even wrote a song and said to Jeremiah, "Why are you sobbing? Why are you crying? You're ugly." It's infuriating to see.

Tears flow like rivers. I am also a crybaby. It's really hard in my heart. Some brothers and sisters, I don't dare to speak too harshly. Speaking harshly is not only useless but also has side effects. Speaking lightly is not enough. It's difficult. I'm just watching people rush madly on the road of their own sins, and then rebel after sinning.

After rebelling, they begin to encounter God's anger and God's disasters. The bitterness in my heart, I feel like crying. But this is the prophet's fate. Before people have even reached that point, they begin to cry out madly, shouting frantically. "Don't go this way! Turn back to God! Don't be destroyed!" Jeremiah is weeping, calling out to the people of Israel, because our God is full of abundant grace and mercy. As long as we turn back to God, we will reject these sins. But the Israelites mocked Jeremiah instead.

"I have become the laughingstock of all my people; they make up songs about me all day long." (Lamentations 3:14)

"See how they mock me in song, all day long!" (Lamentations 3:63)

"Jeremiah, why are you sobbing? Why are you crying? You're useless." This song was written for Jeremiah. But Jeremiah intercedes for the people of the world. Are we moved? Slaughter without pity. Isn't this a divine punishment? Brothers and sisters, be a little softer in your hearts, so that the prophet's tears will not be shed in vain, okay?

When we mention Deuteronomy, we must know that good and evil do not come from the mouth of the Most High? The Most High, blessing and curse, life and death, you choose for yourselves. Moses, in Deuteronomy, called heaven and earth to witness, making a choice between blessing and curse, life and death with the Israelites. How did you choose?

It's not that there is no path of blessing. It's not all paths of slaughter. It's that people walk into slaughter. One path is to suffer slaughter, and God does not pity. A few more deaths are not too many, and a few fewer deaths are not too few. The other path is the path of blessing. We must break away from this worldly logic system, with the pursuit of the crown of glory in eternity, to be blessed in God's presence and also to receive the crown of glory.

Our sermon ends here. May God bless everyone.
