Introduction

Good morning. Today, I will be addressing a topic titled Evil Under the Sun. Why this topic? Because the fourth chapter of Ecclesiastes deals with this very subject.

I am tempted to throw a bucket of cold water on you all. Why take life so seriously? Many desire to live, but even with their best efforts, they cannot withstand the evil under the sun. They long to live, yet they face inevitable death. Isn't that terrible?

Sometimes, when I attend funerals, standing by the coffin, I reflect on my good friend lying there. I say, Old friend, I am here to see you off on your final journey. I, who often wish to leave this world but cannot, must attend their funerals, while those who do not wish to depart must leave. It is I, who longs to escape this world and its evils under the sun, who must bid them farewell.

A friend of mine contracted COVID-19 as the pandemic was subsiding and was hospitalized. This friend knew that I had contracted COVID a year earlier. Thank God, if God does not allow me to leave, can I leave? I do not particularly like hospitals. If hospitals could cure everything, there would be no pandemic. So, I isolated at home. My goodness, it was almost fatal. Just thinking about it now is frightening. How did I survive?

I do not wish to remain under the sun, constantly witnessing its evils. I prayed, God, have mercy on me, take me quickly. If you take me in the fifth watch, I do not wish to see the dawn. But despite my desire to die, I lived. Some say it takes six months to a year to recover from COVID. I was back on my feet in three days, my strength completely restored, miraculously.

I share with you about the evil under the sun not to make you want to die, but to emphasize that you must live well, according to God's will. God grants wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, and joy, not mere idleness. What is the point of constant idleness?

I have long agreed with Solomon's assessment of the world's evils. It is all vanity, of little significance. That is why I live better than most. I am not teaching you to live sloppily or to give up, but to live without stress.

To this day, I do not understand what stress is. I am not exaggerating. Even when I am working hard or serving others, I do not feel stressed. I marvel at how wonderful it is to live this way, while those who live under stress suffer terribly. Some say, Pastor, you are being boastful. But it is the truth, boasting is useless. I find it especially good.

There have been times when I have been hurt. I have served people diligently, wanting to guide them on the path of life, but they become wealthy and successful and abandon me. I am like a broken shoe, a worn-out flip-flop, discarded. Being dumped by a girlfriend hurts, but so does being abandoned by those you have served diligently. But thank God, such is the nature of things under the sun. Why should people not discard you? When they no longer need you, of course they will discard you.

I learned to be wiser. Before they could discard me, I discarded myself first. These are the words of the Preacher. Someone like me comes along once in many years. What can someone who doesn't understand tell people? Unlike some, I do not preach the Bible if I do not agree with it myself. How can you preach what you do not believe? I have heard many preach Ecclesiastes, but I believe I preach it best.

The Words of the Preacher, series four, Evil Under the Sun, it is all vanity. How can you live so intensely? You end up with cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, paralysis, or brain surgery. Yet, you still live so earnestly.

I once saw a man with lung cancer, who, before he died, instructed his wife to occupy his mother's house and refuse to leave. He died, and the house was no longer his concern. What kind of thinking is that? I lament that in this world, there are many who are oppressed, and many who oppress.

There was once a local tyrant in Sichuan who was later arrested. Only after his arrest did I dare to speak of him, otherwise, he might have come after me, asking why I was preaching about him and threatening my life. He was like a descendant of Liu Wencai, utterly evil. No one cares about the oppressed, and no one cares about the oppressors.

That man has been executed, so I can speak freely. He was also from the Liu family, named Liu Han. Now that he is gone, he will not come looking for me. If he did, it would be terrifying, like seeing a ghost. These people receive no comfort; no one comforts them.

It seems that school bullying is on the rise. How wicked some children are! Four children tortured another to death. I do not know how the case was judged. The things of this world! Why does this happen? We feel indignant, wondering how such a good child could be killed in this way.

I tell you, this is due to spiritual manipulation. Remember this important point: What we see in this world is an illusion. The evil spirits that control these events in the spiritual realm are the true reality. The spiritual realm controls the events of this world.

That is why I urge you to believe in the Lord wholeheartedly. If you believe in the Lord, and God is your God and your Lord, will the things of the spiritual realm dare to harm you? No, they will not. Someone like me walks boldly in the spiritual realm. Would evil spirits dare to mess with me? Why? Because I have seen through the things of this world and the things of the spiritual realm. Therefore, I cling tightly to my God. That is why I am willing to die for God, yet I live so well.

Though I sweat and weep, my heart is filled with joy. Look at this world, is not every disease caused by demons? All diseases are caused by demons. I lament that people have such poor memories. I have brought many back from the brink of death, from diseases that should have been fatal. If you are one of them, you know I am talking about you. After rescuing them, I hope they can see through the things of the spiritual realm, but they return to their daily, worldly lives.

I am not trying to scare you. Before long, if you continue to live according to your old, worldly logic, you will not be far from being harassed or destroyed by demons. Buying houses, selling houses, buying property, selling property, making money, doing business—are these real? Yes, they involve real money, but they are illusory. Why? Because if people can earn money, it is not due to their ability, but because the spiritual realm allows it.

If you do not understand this, you will think that every dollar you earn is due to your hard work, and every dollar you lose is due to your lack of effort. Some people suffer from cerebral hemorrhage, also known as stroke, and are sent to the hospital. Do you think that is just the natural course of events? Of course, a stroke victim should be sent to the hospital. But my understanding of the spiritual realm is deep. One day, my mother showed symptoms of a stroke: a crooked mouth, slurred speech, drooling, convulsions, and rolling eyes. Most people would think the end was near. When I saw it, I knew it was a demon. I drove the demon away. She was near death in the first hour, but in the next hour, I took her to eat, and she ate a large plate of food. Can you understand that? Why can you not understand? Because you do not have my spiritual insight.

One of the sisters in our church saw this and quickly video-called her grandmother, who was a few years older than my mother. Her grandmother thought something terrible had happened. What happened? A demon had come. Today, whether it is a stroke, a tumor, or any other ailment, it is all caused by demons. If you do not know this, you will seek a hospital; if you do know it, you will seek Jesus. There are too many such stories to tell.

I have a good friend who seems to love the Lord, but he is a businessman and struggles to understand what I am saying. He has his own philosophy. Later, he developed cancer, and I went to minister to him. I am blunt, so I immediately told him that it was a curse. In response, he quoted Proverbs 26:2: Like a flitting sparrow, like a fluttering swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.

Do you understand what this means? It means that a curse without cause will not come; any curse that comes must have a reason. Because he said that, I could not minister to him. Later, he passed away, having wasted away to only thirty kilograms, nothing but skin and bones.

I lamented, how should we interpret this Scripture? Today, in the Chinese Mingding Destiny Church, we must cultivate people with spiritual insight. Sickness and disaster do not happen without a reason; they are definitely caused by demons. Why do demons come? Because people do not diligently obey God's word, or they obey only partially. To diligently obey, one must diligently obey all of God's word, not just a single verse. That is useless.

For example, the Ten Commandments say, You shall not murder. You might say, See, I have never murdered anyone; I am a good person. Is someone who has never murdered a good person? You will be ruined if you read the Bible that way. Ecclesiastes speaks of this particularly well. Evil under the sun! I have a unique perspective on living. When someone is dying, I say, Go in peace. Some say, Pastor, how can you say that? I respond, Is it not good for them to go in peace? Because I believe that living is not necessarily better than dying.

Some do not understand and desperately cling to life, which is a tragedy. Do you think that desperately clinging to life will allow you to live? If desperately clinging to life could guarantee life, would we not all desperately cling to it? It is useless. You work hard, but it is useless. You might say, Pastor, should I just do nothing every day? Even if you do nothing for a few days, that is fine. I do not care about that.

Brothers and sisters, we must understand that those who have never been born, who have never come into this world, are better off than those who are alive in the world. The dead are better off than the living, for the dead no longer have to see the evils of the world. Some feel that the Bible does not say that. But it does. Why? Because the things of this world are all vanity and emptiness. Do not strive so hard for empty things.

Many Christians oppose abortion and other things, exhausting themselves. But is living truly better than dying? Not necessarily. I tell you, once people despise death, once they despise living, they immediately shed their beastly nature. When a beast is provoked, it bares its teeth or claws. When you threaten its life, it becomes truly dangerous.

Once people shed this beastly logic, like Jesus Christ, they are willing to be crucified. He went to the cross and ascended. Acting like a beast means fleeing the cross and descending. So, brothers and sisters, if you want to live well and enjoy blessings, it is all in our thoughts.

Why do I say that I am an enlightened person? The reason is simple: I have seen through life and death, and I have a clearer understanding of many things. Because of this, I do not need to struggle. When you stretch out your legs, close your eyes, and breathe your last, all the things you cared about become useless. That is why I urge you to build a solid foundation first. The foundation lies here.

Why did Solomon write these things? He was the ruler of a nation. Being a king is not easy. Do not think that having three thousand concubines in the harem is a blessing; it is a deadly affair. If you do not have the wisdom to be a king, you will not know how your head was lost.

Recently, I saw on the internet that the kings and presidents of Syria and Romania had died. Being in that position is dangerous. Do not think that once you climb to the top, and everyone is below you, you can rest easy. The truth is, it is very difficult.

Solomon, sitting on the throne, found it very difficult. He had to judge lawsuits every day. Someone involved in a lawsuit would come to him, and Solomon would ask, Do you have a son? No. Do you have parents? No. Are you alone? Yes, I am alone. Yet, he was in a lawsuit over a piece of land, a contract, or a business deal.

Solomon would say, What are you doing? You are lonely and helpless, endlessly toiling, and your eyes are never satisfied with money. Yet, you are still in a lawsuit. He said, I toil and deprive myself, yet I do not enjoy happiness. Did I come into this world just to be in a lawsuit? This is extreme hardship.

Looking around today, there are many people in their seventies and eighties competing for jobs, exhausted. It is quite interesting to watch. Is this not vanity? If people do not know that these things are vanity, they will engage in scheming, competition, envy, and jealousy in the workplace, striving for this and that. But you are not even guaranteed to win. In my opinion, you are not as good as the cleaning lady who cleans the toilets every day and goes home happy.

Sometimes, people think that having two is better than being alone, but that is also vanity. Our church does not preach this, but many churches say that two are better than one, that two sleeping together are warm. However, it often ends with one being kicked under the bed. I think Solomon is setting a trap for us, but he is not actually talking about this. He is saying that this is also vanity.

Then there is the wise young man who came out of prison, became king, and allowed the people to live and work in peace, but many did not like him. This is also vanity. We must take these things to heart. Solomon has seen it all and is tired of looking at these trivial matters.

The problem is that, as Solomon mentioned in Ecclesiastes, you think these things are very real, but they are all vanity and emptiness, chasing after the wind. Because behind these things, there are those who control them, including who becomes king, how the old king is overthrown by the young king, how the old lion king is overthrown by the young lion king, and how the old wild dog king is overthrown by the young wild dog king. We think these things are very real, but they are all illusory.

What is real? You must know that everything that happens on earth is directed by the spiritual realm. Why do you have depression? The spiritual realm causes your depression. Why do people get cancer? The spiritual realm makes you get cancer. Why do you get COVID-19? Why do you die? The spiritual realm says you must die, and you cannot avoid it.

The competition, jealousy, suffering, oppression, and bullying we experience in this world are all matters of the spiritual realm.

Some people do not have the destiny to be emperors but still want to be emperors. In the end, they do not have the destiny to be emperors and end up with the emperors' illnesses. Those who want to be emperors are still in prison. You do not have that destiny! It is not something you can achieve through effort. Many political struggles are related to factions. The left and right factions fight fiercely, while those in the middle rise without effort.

What is real? God is real! Therefore, whether you are a cleaner, a researcher, a manager, or a king, it is all a matter of the spiritual realm. God is the only reality! That is why we need to fear God, seek God, and know God! This is what Solomon wants to convey.

Today, I want to throw a bucket of cold water on you. No matter how big your business is, no matter how high your position is in the company, no matter how low your position is in the company, or no matter how real the petty squabbles in the village are, I tell you, it is all evil under the sun.

I hope that brothers and sisters can come out of these evils, so that you do not have to be involved in lawsuits, and bullying in schools has nothing to do with you. In the American school shootings, a child with a gun randomly shoots, and someone happens to be in the line of fire. Another child had diarrhea and did not go to school, thus avoiding the incident.

Therefore, I tell you, you must fear God! Your three meals a day and your daily life cannot determine your destiny. Only sudden events can determine your destiny. And all sudden events are spiritual events. Therefore, as long as we fear God in our daily lives, these things will not be related to us.

Reading of Scripture

Then I returned and considered all the oppression that is done under the sun: And look! The tears of the oppressed, But they have no comforter— On the side of their oppressors there is power, But they have no comforter. Therefore I praised the dead who were already dead, more than the living who are still alive. Yet, better than both is he who has never existed, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 4:1-3)

Prayer

O God, open my spiritual eyes, O God, open the spiritual eyes of our brothers and sisters, let us see how the spiritual world controls the world we live in. O God, let us know that the things of this world are illusory, let us know that this world is full of evil deeds under the sun.

O God, lead us today, in the spiritual world, to take up the authority you have given us, so that we can see through everything, so that we can be victorious in the spiritual world, and be victorious in your name, overcoming the devil and the enemy.

May our lives be in your hands, so that our lives may become vessels manifesting your glory. O God, lead us to see through life and death, to see through the matter of living, so that in our days on this earth, we may live out your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Scripture Background

The Book of Ecclesiastes was written by Solomon many years after he became king. When he was king, he often saw those who were oppressed petitioning Solomon. Solomon would let them in, surround the court, and with a strike of the gavel, order: Bring the prisoner up.

This interrogation exhausted Solomon. The oppressed cried their eyes out in the hall, and Solomon had no time to comfort them. It turned out it was all for profit, all for money. The oppressed, the oppressors, were also oppressed, anyway, it was oppression at different levels.

Today, a small ordinary person who sweeps the streets is brought up, oppressed by others; after a while, the county magistrate is framed; after a while, the governor is framed. Solomon spent his whole life judging cases, exhausted. Today investigating this, tomorrow investigating that, and he couldn't make wrongful convictions, it was very hard, where would he have time to comfort people, Solomon had seen enough.

Let me tell you, if you are a policeman, dealing with bad people every day, you will think the whole world is full of bad people. So Solomon was constantly judging cases, he knew all the tricks of these people, and he felt why there were so many bad people in this world?

He lamented: Why did I come into this world? David, you and my mother Bathsheba, you do what you do, don't bring me out. You bring me out, let me be king in this world, all I see are these rubbish things.

There are too many evil things under the heaven, under the sun, and that doesn't even include the evil things in the hospitals. What are hospitals for? You think hospitals are for treating diseases, hospitals are for making money! Solomon lamented that those who were not born, who had not seen the evil things under the sun, were so good!

Our views are at a different level from Solomon's. Maybe you are the one who is oppressed, and then you complain to Solomon, and Solomon is annoyed to death. Do you think Solomon wants to give you justice all day long? Annoying! Later, Solomon discovered that things would happen in this world for no reason.

Originally, you were doing a good job, working hard, being clever and creative, but you were envied by your neighbors, and they tripped you up. For example, you open a restaurant, and they put some poison in it, some rats, some cockroaches, and then post it online, negative news! You say, you worked hard, who did you offend? Nobody. Solomon saw that anything could happen.

Then he also saw foolish people, foolish to what extent? Gnawing on their own hands like pig trotters. I don't know where Solomon saw it, it's really lamentable. Next, Solomon wrote:

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

I think I may not have understood what Solomon wrote. How come I didn't observe it no matter how I observed it? Once, I saw a very famous preacher who established a church in Singapore and invited three preachers. As a result, it was too difficult for these three preachers to twist into a cord of three strands, it would spring open as soon as it was twisted, a kind of invisible tension. Is this not easily broken? They were breaking each other.

Later, this person told me: I have a trick, I split them up, each leading a group of people out, and then establishing their own churches, and I immediately had three branch churches. I felt that this matter was a bit difficult, because behind it was a spirit of disunity.

When he saw me, I was dealing with this spirit of disunity. The spirit of disunity is very powerful, it will release a lot of lies for no reason. Later, thank God, the reason why our church is victorious is because we first won in the matter of brotherly unity, and that process was very painful.

At that time, I hadn't read the Book of Ecclesiastes, if I had read the Book of Ecclesiastes, I might not have done it. Of course, it is also possible that I would have understood it and done it better. In short, these three preachers were disunited, the spirit of disunity was too powerful, and the things on this earth were too troublesome. I tell you, building a church, not being victorious is simply a tragedy. Thank God, God let me be victorious. Until today, being a pastor of a church is still very enjoyable.

Solomon repeatedly thought about it after summing it up: Is it like this? Is it like that? I turned my mind again, back and forth, lying on the left side for a while, lying on the right side for a while, thinking with the left brain for a while, thinking with the right brain for a while, and after thinking it over, I came to a conclusion: Evil deeds under the sun!

Therefore, the most powerful point of Chinese Mingding Destiny is to look at problems with spiritual eyes. Why do many churches become worse and worse as they go today? They don't govern the church through the spiritual realm, they don't think the Spirit of God is important. A very important part of Chinese Mingding Destiny is the first lesson of our 101 Course, which is The Spiritual World. Our research on ghosts, research on people, research on God, these are all very good.

I have been pondering recently, why people become like this, because there are ghosts on their bodies, so exorcism is an integral and most basic task of the church. How can we be united? Exorcise ghosts! How can we be healed? Exorcise ghosts! How can we build a victorious church? Exorcise ghosts! How can we let the kingdom of God come? Exorcise ghosts! What I like most is exorcism. You know how fun exorcism is, it's much better than playing Honor of Kings. When exorcising ghosts, the ghosts still talk to me and tell me about their affairs.

There was a time when exorcising ghosts was very interesting, a ghost came, and as soon as I exorcised it, the ghost started talking. It said: They are all having a meeting. I said: Why didn't they bring you? It said: They didn't bring me. I said: Then what are you here for? It said: I'm here to inform you, you guys prepare quickly, they are having a meeting to corrupt the church. I thought this was quite interesting.

I'll tell you what's in the spiritual world. There are scientific research achievements in the spiritual world; there is prosperity in the spiritual world; there is creativity in the spiritual world; there is joy in the spiritual world; there is everything in the spiritual world, and it is not empty. Solomon said that these things under the sun are empty because they are shadows, and the real things in the spirit realm have become shadows.

Today, the diseases on your body are all shadows of the spiritual realm. It's simply a tragedy that we don't know the spiritual realm, so brothers and sisters began to explore with me. Later, after having a deep understanding of the spiritual realm, I understood that things were originally like this: there is a time to be sick, and there is a time to be healed, all these things are controlled by God.

Some time ago, I discussed with one of our brothers why people have such a temperament, because they have such ghosts on their bodies. In order to set people free, we have to model the ghosts, one ghost one model, so that people can understand as soon as they distinguish it, how to exorcise this kind of ghost, how to exorcise that kind of ghost. How to teach people with this ghost on their bodies, how to teach people with that ghost on their bodies.

If we can figure this out, then it will be amazing. Those two fingers are on the keyboard, typing and tapping, and the ghosts there are screaming and jumping around. Then we can also synthesize sounds to exorcise ghosts, as long as the computer has power, you can play here, and the ghosts will be finished.

All Evil Under the Sun, All is Vanity

All evil under the sun, all is vanity. Because people have eaten the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, people live in this world, and the devil reigns in this world. You say: Isn't God reigning in this world? I tell you: The devil reigns in this world, but God's authority is greater than the devil's.

The reason is very simple, Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so the devil entered the world, and then began to control it, and from then on there were Cains and Nimrods of all sizes, and such people lived very seriously in this world.

All is evil, all is vanity, but people live very seriously, and they don't know what a ghost is until they die. Those atheists who get cancer, they don't know it's a ghost until they die. They don't know it's a ghost, you think the ghosts won't mess with them? They mess with them very badly. What is being bullied and who is bullying people, the ground is full of these smoky things.

If you can't see through it, you'll be pissed off. In the American election, real votes can't win fake votes, aren't you angry? You could have been elected, but you were defeated by those with fake votes, that's really annoying. That's how things are on earth, so it is said that all under the sun are evil deeds.

All under the sun are evil deeds, all is vanity, because the devils are on this earth. Don't think that you belong to the world, you say: I love the world, I just love money. Then you love ghosts so much! You love money and love the world, you want to live well, I tell you you definitely won't live well, don't even think about it.

You don't know which day your child will be bullied, you don't know which day you will offend someone, who will oppress you, just like a painful ghost comes in the spiritual world, a ghost of depression, this ghost and that ghost. Not to mention anything else, one ghost is attached to you, one ghost is attached to your husband, and you don't know who will kick whom down first.

So don't have so much hope for the things of the world. In the past thousands of years of Christian history, what was the problem with Christian theology? The problem was that their focus was on people, on moral concepts, on human behavior; while the focus of Chinese Mingding Destiny is on God, on the spiritual realm.

Not many churches talk about the spiritual realm. As soon as I talk about the spiritual realm, some people say it is superstition. You are the superstitious one, you are superstitious about the human world. What do I believe in? I believe in the spiritual realm, but the spiritual realm is real, and the things of the world are all lies.

From Under the Sun into God

All under the sun is evil, all is vanity. So what to do? We go from under the sun into God. You are baptized into Jesus Christ, which is to imitate the death of Jesus. When we go into the water, it means we are dead; when we come out of the water, we are resurrected from the dead into Jesus Christ.

So when you dream that you are dead, that's a good thing, don't be afraid. You can never die, which means you can never get out of the sun, and you always have to encounter evil things under the sun. You live under the sun and you have to encounter evil things, right? If you are dead to this world, this world is also dead to you, and you will not encounter these things.

Don't think that just entering the church is enough, you must enter into God, into Jesus Christ. To be human, you must be a spiritual person, from a carnal person to a spiritual person, first come out of the sun and enter into God, which is called being resurrected from the dead.

But the problem comes, people have been baptized, but they can never die, and as soon as they are carnal, they live again. A group of carnal people together, can they get better? All day long fighting, competing, jealous, comparing. So you see, you listen to the sermons of Chinese Mingding Destiny, which are explained clearly. Many people talk about that stuff, and I don't know what they are talking about.

One day I went online to watch a pastor study the Bible, and after listening for a long time, I didn't understand it. But what I'm sharing with you today is very simple, the truth of Jesus Christ is a very simple truth. Why do people live so miserably? Because they live in the kingdom of the devil. Today, from the kingdom of the devil, from the spiritual realm of the devil, into the kingdom of God, do you understand?

What I let you have a Mingding Destiny is not a disadvantage, what I let you love God is not a disadvantage either, it is a bargain. If you take that energy of loving money to love God, do you still have a problem? No problem. Why was your life almost over before? Because you lived in the worldly world, you lived in the kingdom of the devil!

Don't think that you have earned some money to prove anything, it proves nothing. When disasters come, nothing works. Disasters come very simply. You say: My business is very good. What about when it's bad? The devil lets you climb the ladder to a trillion-dollar empire, and when you look down, the ladder is gone, and you fall down, wouldn't you be killed? This kind of story is simply everywhere.

All Under the Sun is Empty, Only God is Real

So I tell you, the things on earth are illusory, and God is real. We must remember that all under the sun is empty, and only God is real. The spiritual realm is real, and God is also real. Why am I so fascinated by the spiritual realm? I think fortune tellers are very accurate, I'm not exaggerating at all, fortune tellers are very accurate.

Some time ago, a sister shared with me that when she was young, she was told by a fortune teller how old she would retire, but when she reached that age, she found that she did not meet the retirement age. So what happened? By mistake, I don't know how she retired. I thank God that through this fortune teller, we can all understand a little bit that the spiritual realm is real.

God is real, loving God is the key! Can you listen to it? If you can't listen to it, then I wish you good luck. People don't understand the spiritual realm, and they will definitely be played by ghosts. You will be played by ghosts all your life, what can you play out?

I emphasize again, God is real! To be a Christian, be a Christian who pleases God, don't be a Christian who angers God; to be a Christian, be a resounding Christian who keeps and follows God's word, don't be a half-baked Christian, in the end it will be very miserable, living in a curse.

If Christians live in a curse, if the ghosts don't come, God will send a few to beat people to death.
