【Sermon】Arise! Shine!

2019-05-12 13,386 Sermon Church Hope Revival Dream Service Vision

Introduction

Today, the topic I am sharing with you is Arise, Shine, which is found in the Book of Isaiah. Yesterday, I had a dream where my company became a Fortune 500 company and was preparing to invest in a certain city. I was very serious in the dream, but I didn't realize it was a dream. I like such dreams; they are wonderful!

I believe this dream is very spiritual, and I am confident that one day the dream I had will surely come to pass! But some may ask, Why do you dream of being a Fortune 500 company? It's not up to me; I had a dream of being a Fortune 500 company, and I couldn't stop it. Why do you say the dream will come true? Because I believe it will; I just believe it; no need for justification! I am a person with dreams, precisely because I have dreams!

Therefore, I feel like I'm still in my twenties. Although I am over fifty, whether writing programs, doing renovations, leading Bible studies, leading prayers, leading healing and deliverance, or walking and working, I am just like a young person. If you want to stay youthful, emulate me and be a person with dreams. But some people don't believe in good dreams; they dwell on nightmares all day long, failing in good things but excelling in bad.

Be a Person with Dreams

I am a person with dreams, so I remember the good ones and discard all the bad ones. Dreaming is not entirely controllable. The dream I most want to have is not about being a Fortune 500 company, but about seeing a ladder to heaven, with its top reaching the sky, and I am standing at the bottom, with Jehovah God standing at the top. In Genesis 28, God declares:

And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. (Genesis 28:13-15 KJV)

This is the dream Jacob had, and it is the dream I have always wanted, hoping to enter God's dwelling place, the gate of heaven. I also want to have a dream like Joseph, dreaming that the sun, moon, and eleven stars bow down to me. If I could have such a dream, I would be willing to be sold into Egypt, but unfortunately, I haven't had that dream, so I have controllable daydreams. I often have daydreams when I am wide awake. I am a person with dreams, and when I read:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:2-3 KJV)

After reading this, I dream that this scripture is addressed to me. I hope everyone can be like me, having dreams in God. Everyone should believe that dreams in God will surely come true, and God will fulfill those who believe. Take this daydream as your small goal and pay the price for your dream. If a person has a dream and pays the price for it, they are the happiest person in the world. If a person has no dream, they are waiting to die, and waiting to die is a very desperate situation.

A person who has a dream in God's kingdom and pays the price for that dream is the happiest person in God's kingdom, a person who stays youthful. I have paid a great price for my dream, with sweat, tears, and blood, it's been hard, but I am sweet, happy, and fulfilled in my heart. Not only me, but my colleagues are also living in this way; this is the secret to staying youthful. If you also want to stay youthful, follow us and learn well. No matter what you are like today, as long as you believe that your dream in God's kingdom will surely come true, without doubting, the promises in the following scriptures are yours.

Scripture

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. (Isaiah 60:1-5 KJV)

Prayer

Lord Jesus, what you said in Isaiah 60:1-5 refers to me! Lord, I want to arise and shine for you! May you personally manifest your glory in me; may your glory be revealed in me; may I become a vessel for manifesting your glory; in these last days, may I be a blessing to all nations and peoples! May you raise me up to be a servant of this generation! In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!

The Smallest Nation Shall Arise and Shine

The author of Isaiah lived in a dark era. But God revealed to Isaiah that in that dark era, there was a small and insignificant group of people who were raised up by God to shine. In the state of darkness covering the earth and gross darkness covering the people, he saw God's glory shining on this group of people, saw the people of all nations coming to His light, and even kings coming to the brightness of His rising.

These people began to lift up their eyes and see that all the people were gathering there, saw the abundance of the sea returning to Him, and the wealth of the nations coming to Him, with the gates of the city not being shut day or night for worship, saw the descendants of those who had afflicted Him, those who had despised Him, bowing down to worship.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. (Isaiah 60:17 KJV)

All these are good things, and your days are over.

A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time. (Isaiah 60:22 KJV)

What is His time? That is the last days. You will find that I often say that the glory of the latter days will be greater than the glory of the former days. Today, we are in the last days, building a glorious church, which is the body of Jesus Christ, which Isaiah saw in that time.

Arising is God's Command and Will

Arising and shining is God's command and will for us. Don't think that arising and shining is just a hope; it is not. It is God, through the prophet Isaiah, giving us a prophecy and a command, which is God's will. Today, do you want to respond to God's command and will? The two words arise and shine have a profound impact on us. Let's talk about shining; the scripture says:

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 KJV)

What are good works? It has always been a mystery. After reading it, good works seem to be just being a good person. Later, I discovered that it is difficult for a good person to be like Jesus. Being a good person and the good works that God wants are not the same thing.

The latter sentence, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven, means that good works can glorify our God. What kind of behavior can glorify God? Many people think that doing charity, supporting the poor, can manifest God's glorious works. But that is not it.

Manifesting God's Glory, Arising and Shining

What does it mean to manifest God's glory? This matter must go back to the Bible. Jesus attended a wedding in Cana, and Jesus' mother, Mary, said, They have no wine. It was a very shameful thing. Holding a wedding banquet and not having enough wine or food, how could that be? Jesus told them, Whatever he says to you, do it. Jesus instructed the people to fill three jars with water, and what came out was the best wine. This was the first time Jesus manifested His glory. Glory is closely related to water turning into wine; this is called a miracle.

Later, there was a blind man, blind from birth, and the people asked Jesus whether it was his sin or his parents' sin. Jesus said, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. Later, this blind man saw. Many people also quote this scripture, This man was born this way to manifest His glory.

How does a blind man manifesting His glory manifest it? It is when the blind man sees. Many people cannot manifest God's glory. Miracles, healings, deliverance, and the entire life being transformed, impossible things becoming possible, that is manifesting God's glory. Good works are the captives being set free, the oppressed being released. I have consulted many Bible study materials, and no one interprets it this way.

I interpret it this way; if you think it is good, then interpret it this way. If you don't think it is good, you don't have to accept my point of view. If you believe in good moral behavior, then go down the path of good moral behavior. For me, it is manifesting God's glory to our Father in heaven.

Jesus gave us a demonstration of how we can see the Father's appearance. Healing has scriptural basis and a path to follow. Not only that, He completed the work God entrusted to Him on earth, fully offering Himself, entrusting Himself to them, being nailed to the cross, bearing all our transgressions, carrying all our sorrows, and enduring our curses.

God's Power is the Key to Solving Problems

What Jesus did was awesome; the dead coming back to life, five loaves and two fish feeding five thousand people, this is called manifesting God's glory. If arising and shining refers to God's glory, and if God's glory is manifested and comes upon us, then the result should be like Jesus.

If you are a good person, there have been many good people throughout history, but being a good person is not the same as being good in Jesus Christ. Therefore, our good works must go back to Jesus; we must arise and shine, manifesting God's glory.

I have done many things that manifest God's glory, and I am very clear about what God's glory means. I began to discover that glory actually gives people hope. When people see you, you are the light of the world, and light represents hope. I encourage everyone to build churches, to build churches full of God's glory, so that those who live in darkness, who live in the land of the shadow of death, will have hope ignited in their hearts when they come to the church. If you want to be a Christian, be a Christian full of God's glory; this is my heartfelt desire.

Whether it's dreams or faith, in the end, it must come back to one thing, and that is manifesting God's glory. People must see hope; what happens when desperate people see Jesus? After seeing Jesus, they see hope. So I hope I am like Jesus; am I like Him? I am more like Him than before, but I am still far away. Everyone should think about how far away they are. The things of the world are very despairing, but when people come to Jesus, they see hope. There is such a passage of scripture:

Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. (Matthew 4:12-16 KJV)

This ties into the theme; we are still on this theme, arising and shining. We must discuss arising and shining clearly. Why did people see a great light when Jesus lived in that place? Those who sat in the land of the shadow of death and the land of darkness saw Jesus; Jesus can trample on the power of the grave. What are the people in the land of the shadow of death and darkness? That is despair!

In a person's life, what can be solved with money is not a big deal; what cannot be solved with money is a deadly disease, which is very despairing. These people who are oppressed by the power of darkness see Jesus and have hope ignited; this is called shining. Everyone should not think that shining is just being a great philanthropist, because the problems that can be solved with money are very limited; using God's power to solve problems is the key. If we want to be people who arise and shine, we must manifest God's glory!

Our Only Hope is to Build God's Glorious Temple

We must firmly grasp the state described in Isaiah 60. Our generation must arise and shine, bringing hope to the desperate. Hope is through God's power; what people cannot solve must be solved with God's power! Recently, I have ministered to many people who are oppressed by demons; there are too many such people! Without God, without miracles, how can they be transformed? We have God's power, God's glory in us, and the message we preach is not with wise and persuasive words, but with the demonstration of the Spirit's power! This is our gospel!

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV)

Today, God's power is in us, and that is shining! Once we arise and become servants of this generation, we begin to know how to receive God's commands, receive God's calling, and believe that God's words are not only for our generation, but also for all generations after Isaiah who trust in God. Today, there are many people in the darkness of death, but that cannot stop us from building God's glorious temple!

People who live in darkness have no hope; the only hope is to build God's glorious temple, to have God's presence! Today, there are too many weak churches! A sister who had been a believer for five years had many tragic situations in her family; she lived in despair, wanting to die every day, wanting to escape these helpless situations. This sister owed hundreds of thousands of dollars, her younger brother could not defecate normally and had an opening in his abdomen, and her son had kidney failure; it was very difficult!

Today, encountering such a situation cannot be solved in a weak church. There is no glory of God there, and there are no people who arise and shine. Today, each of us must see the needs of this generation, see the people who live in the land of the shadow of death. Some churches preach good doctrines, but they do not have the power of God. In such a place, we must begin to raise up God's powerful people, raise up people who shine for God.

The Truth of God is Being Restored

This is an era of the mighty gospel restoration of God. Today, the truth of God is being restored! As you listen to my Bible study, you will find that the views I bring out are quite different from what others say. I believe that these views I bring out are God's good intentions! Some people's interpretation of good deeds in Matthew 5:14-16 is not like mine; they think it is about being a good person. But being a good person cannot solve problems.

Some time ago, I was ministering to a sister whose church was full of good people. These Christians had no power. They could not solve their own problems, nor could they solve the problems of many others. One of the sisters in her church was pregnant, but she could not support herself. The church was full of incapable good people, and they repeatedly advised her not to have an abortion. This sister gave birth to the child, and in despair, she jumped off the building with the child!

This is the trouble with good people. If it were me, I would solve it this way: through the power of God, I would break the curse of poverty on this sister, and I would rely on God's power to reverse her situation and bring her into blessing. If a person enters into blessing, money is not a problem, raising children is not a problem, and many things are not a problem.

A few days ago, I ministered to a sister from Canada whose child had been suffering from insomnia since the age of seven, all the way to the age of 14, which was very difficult. I long for these people in despair to see the hope that comes from God. As for whether they will follow Jesus in the future, that is another matter. The ten lepers in the Bible came to Jesus, and Jesus knew that they would not follow Him later, but Jesus still released them and healed their diseases.

That is God's grace and God's glory. Our God's attribute is full of grace and mercy. We should not think that God is very stingy. We must release God's grace no matter what. Yesterday, I ministered to a brother's mother who was suffering from vertigo. She was very uncomfortable, so I prayed with her online, and as a result, she slept and felt much better. A few days ago, her mother's mother was also healed after praying when she was unwell, because we are a group of people who arise and shine, who build God's glorious temple.

Arise and Become People Who Serve God

This world is full of tragedies. When I cast out demons, the demons often tell me that they did these bad things. Today's churches dare not talk about demons and talk about a bunch of useless doctrines. We must respond to God's call. I encourage you to respond to God's call and become a priest of the living God. Do not think that God turns a blind eye. God definitely sees. He sees that many people are in need, but there are also many people who are unwilling to rise up for God.

He saw that there was no one, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, retribution to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment. (Isaiah 59:16-18)

Our God sees the people in the land of the shadow of death and is full of passion to save them. Today, are we moved by God's love and God's grace, or are we in a state where we have no problems? What will you do when you have problems in the future? I encourage you to respond to God's call. God will raise up the descendants of Abraham to rise up together and become people who serve God.

For those of us who have believed in the Lord for some time, if you have no power in you, I encourage you not to let God's temple be desolate. This is an excellent opportunity. Any dark and needy generation is full of opportunities to manifest God, so we must seize this opportunity. God is really constantly looking for people in this generation. Whom can I send? In any previous generation, God has lamented that there is no one to intercede. Is there no one willing to participate in God's plan? We must respond to God's call. If God's temple is desolate today, it is a tragedy.

Respond to God's Call

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts and turn and be healed.” Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until the cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste, and the Lord removes people far away, and great will be the forsaken places in the midst of the land. And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump. (Isaiah 6:8-13)

In this dark generation, can we respond to God's call and tell God, God, here I am, please send me! If you cannot see, you will not receive. Today, the church is even less powerful than the temple run by the Pharisees at that time, and even less than Haggai's. Is this not an opportunity? Will you rise up and say, God, here I am.

Has our heart become cold? Has our heart been swallowed up by the god of this world? Are we standing in our place and looking around to see how many people are in darkness? Have we seen ourselves being raised up by God to shine and illuminate those in the land of darkness? People's eyes are very important. What you cannot see is not yours.

God said to Abraham, Look to the north, south, east, and west. All that you see is yours. This is a spiritual principle. Today, what you see in this place, what you see is the need of this generation, what you see is yours. In my faith, I see that God is raising up a mighty people, God is raising up a people full of God's glory, and in our midst we must surpass history. In my dreams, I am filled with such hope.

Brothers and sisters, begin to respond to God. Those who walk with God see the future in the darkness. The days of Chinese Mingding Destiny are coming, and more and more people will take on their destiny, and more and more people will offer themselves as living sacrifices. The days of having no faith and power are passing, and we are paving the way for the Lord's coming. These days of revival are coming. Do you have a part in this revival?

Pat your chest and ask yourself, how many people have you brought hope to? If you cannot bring hope to your family, to whom can you bring God's hope? Some people say that they do not want it. What kind of gospel are you preaching?

Have a Vision of Revival

Today, brothers and sisters, begin to have a vision of revival. Begin to look from where you stand. See that nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried in the arms. The wealth of the nations shall be brought to you, and the abundance of the seas shall be turned to you!

Brothers and sisters, you shall see that the children of those who afflicted you shall come and bow down to you, and all who despised you shall fall prostrate at your feet. They shall call you the City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel, called the glorious church of God! Brothers and sisters, in this generation, in these days full of despair, those who come among us shall receive grace. In our dictionary, there is no word for despair. In our dictionary, there is only the light of God and the glory of God.

Some time ago, I ministered to a sister. I asked her why she did not seek out her own pastor. She said that her church only does healing and deliverance once a month. I was really very moved! There was also a person who had a mental illness and was suffering a lot. He said that his church only had ministry every Tuesday. There was also a sister who had depression, and her church leader told her to see a psychologist. I think that hospitals even have 24-hour emergency services. Why can't the church minister to those in need?

Today, brothers and sisters, can you have the same vision as me, the same destiny, the same dream, to build the best church in the world, to build the most glorious church of God in the world, to build the most powerful church in the world, to build the church that is most like Jesus Christ in the world! Our church is open 24 hours a day, because on the Internet, a miracle can be achieved on the Internet, that there is no time when any need is not met. This is my dream!

Establish the Correct View of the Church

One night, the mother of a pastor had insomnia. I said to her, Whenever you have insomnia and feel uncomfortable, call me anytime! As a result, she prayed herself. I specially arranged for a sister from Canada to minister to her, but she prayed herself, saying that she was afraid of troubling us. I asked her if it worked. She said it didn't work, and she was uncomfortable all night. These people have absolutely no view of the church. Do you think that the faith of Jesus Christ is a faith of solitary practice? No!

Today, having no concept of the church is fatal. Today, begin to build God's glorious church. Put down your own problems first, and God will definitely solve your problems! Some people build God's church but only care about their own houses. How is it possible to serve God? Today, brothers and sisters, do not underestimate this small group of ours. The least one shall become a thousand, and the smallest one a strong nation; I am the Lord; in its time I will hasten it!

Brothers and sisters, today the church has entered into the orbit of revival. In the early days, the church was really very desolate, but in that desolate era, in my faith, I had an expectation, I had a dream and a vision, and it has come to pass today. No matter how hard it is, I continue to serve and give myself completely to God, and as a result, God has brought about the prosperous situation today.

Today, are we beginning to have new visions, new directions, and new stories? Not stopping here, but beginning to have a determination, that the least one shall become a thousand, and the weakest one shall become a strong nation, and God will surely seize the wealth of the nations and bring it to us, replacing the bad with the good, gold will replace bronze, silver will replace iron, using bronze instead of wood in your hand, using iron instead of stone, which means that we have something in our hand to offer to God, give to God, and God will multiply it!

Today, do you have such a determination? When we minister to many preachers, we find many poor churches. Why are churches poor? Because they lack vision, lack faith, lack Mingding Destiny! They have a poor idea in their bones. When our church was very poor, we were also a giving church. In the past few years, we have sent out nearly 300,000 RMB of books, giving them away for free. We cast our bread upon the waters, and after many days it will return.

If you are poor in your heart, how can the church not be poor? Today, the workload of transforming preachers, transforming churches, and transforming brothers and sisters is beyond our ability, but with God, nothing is impossible. Do we have such a determination, beginning to see people bringing the wealth of the nations to us, and bringing their kings to us? See which nation or kingdom will perish and be utterly desolate if it does not serve God in this way.

Brothers and sisters, I long for each of us to have a dream of God's kingdom. I also long for every brother and sister to believe in the dreams that God has revealed in the Bible. I long for brothers and sisters not only to believe, but also to receive such promises, to come out of the dark and dim days and become a people who arise and shine, and God will surely accomplish this! As I believe in my heart, I believe that God will accomplish it!

May God bless everyone!
