【Bible Study】Galatians Chapter 2 - So that the truth of the gospel might remain with you!

2021-05-21 30,808 Galatians Faith Law Salvation Gospel Works Purity

Introduction

Good day to all. Originally, I intended to share the recording from 2016 of the second chapter of Galatians. However, I realized that I did not actually deliver it at the time, possibly due to certain circumstances that prevented its release. Therefore, today I am sharing the second chapter with everyone once again. I first shared it in 2014, but it seems some aspects were not quite appropriate. Some might ask me, Well, which time did you get it wrong – back then or now? I can tell you all that this is growth. There's no need to find it strange. Even the Apostle Paul, the style of his earlier epistles differs from that of his later epistles.

Theme of the Chapter

For the second chapter of Galatians, linking the before and after, the theme can be set as: For the Truth of the Gospel, Still Present Among Us. We must say it is fortunate we have Paul, otherwise the truth of the Gospel today would hardly be pure. Relying on the Apostle Peter would have been problematic. The Apostle Paul possessed a significant quality worth emulating: not seeking to please men.

In the first chapter, Paul said that if he were still trying to please men, he would not be a servant of Jesus Christ. Trying to please people is a very bad habit – being all things to all men. The Apostle Paul also disliked being duplicitous. When the Apostle Paul wrote Galatians, it could be said that no one could corrupt the pure Gospel he preached. Writing Galatians likely occurred 14 years after the second chapter, from when the Apostle Paul accepted Jesus Christ as Lord. In Acts, chapters 9 and 10, chronologically, Paul believed in the Lord 4 to 5 years after the ascension of Jesus. 17-18 years after the ascension of Jesus, that is, 14 years later, the Apostle Paul went up to Jerusalem, where an event occurred, recorded in Acts chapter 15. The previous chapter, we discussed There Is Only One Gospel. This chapter speaks of For the Truth of the Gospel, Still Present Among Us, which is what Paul did. Previously, in 2014, the theme I presented for this chapter was that faith cannot be supplemented by works, not even the slightest bit.

The Price Paul Paid for the Pure Gospel

I find that those who divided Galatians did not do a very good job, as 2:15 onwards blends into chapter 3. But it doesn't matter; since it's divided this way, we will read it as such. To uphold this pure Gospel, the Apostle Paul did a lot of work. After 14 years, as recorded in Acts chapter 15, a large conference was held in Jerusalem. This conference was held to address the issues the Apostle Paul faced. We truly thank God that God helped Paul, or rather, God helped Himself resolve such issues, as Paul was chosen from his mother's womb. Even while the Apostle Paul was still in his mother's womb, he was set apart in God's hand to serve God.

Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. I went up because of a revelation and set before them (though privately to those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order not to be running in vain (Galatians 2:1-2).

Paul’s Conflict and Persistence with the Pillars of the Church

What does Paul mean by this? He went to Jerusalem to see those who seemed influential, namely James, Peter, and John – one being the brother of Jesus, and the other two having personally followed Jesus, present at both the crucifixion and resurrection. But such reputations really count for little. If you are not up to the task, you are not up to the task. Paul said, lest I should run, or had run, in vain. I read the Bible quite meticulously. Why did Paul worry about running in vain? James, Peter, and John were the pillars of the church. They meant what they said. So it was difficult for Paul to preach the pure Gospel. If they told you to step down, you had to step down. The situation Paul faced was that Jewish Christians wanted to observe the law, believing that only by doing so could they be justified. This situation was very prevalent in the church.

They said, We have come to you in the name of Peter and James, which brought great confusion to the church, because these individuals were pillars of the church, highly reputable figures. Paul, who are you? Nothing at all. In such an imbalanced, inequitable situation, if James told Paul to step down, Paul had no choice but to step down; if he asked Paul to come up, Paul had to come up. Paul mentioned this incident in Galatians, though he had not spoken of it before when he went to Jerusalem, for fear that he was running or had run in vain.

Later, Paul mentioned these things when writing Galatians. Why dare to write about it now? Because his position in the Gentile churches was very secure, and the churches were all established by his own hand, whereas before, his position could be revoked at any time. If people said that the Gospel you preach is not pure, then no matter how pure it is, it is useless. But we thank God that God was truly with Paul in that generation, achieving what Paul wanted to achieve. How was this goal achieved? It was achieved very clearly. I will read you a passage so that you are not confused, from Acts chapter 15.

Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how the brothers are doing.” Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord. He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches (Acts 15:36-41).

Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the brothers. With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,
To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:

Greetings.

We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds with what they said. So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell (Acts 15:22-29).

The letter was written as such. Did this event achieve the Apostle Paul's goal? It did. That is to say, this was the authority of the Jerusalem church. We thank God that James, Peter, and John wrote such a letter at the time. Why would they write such a letter? We really cannot understand, but it was written this way, and we thank God that Paul risked their lives for the truth of the Gospel to remain among us!

But even Titus, who was with me, was not compelled to be circumcised, though he was a Greek. This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to enslave us. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you (Galatians 2:3-5).

Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the brothers. With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings. We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds with what they said. (Acts 15:22-29)

The Dangers of False Brothers and Nice Guys

At that time, even though the Jerusalem church was under the leadership of James, Peter, and John, there were many strange situations. According to the Apostle Paul, there were false brothers who had infiltrated the ranks. What are false brothers? They are those who do not believe in Jesus Christ at all. What do they believe in then? I don't know what they believe in. They believe in Moses and then混into the church, looking at the freedom the Apostle Paul had in Jesus Christ. What freedom did they see? They saw them with Titus, because Titus was a Gentile. Although he was half Jewish, half Jewish to them meant Samaritan, which was a mixed breed.

But the Apostle Paul took him with him. At that time, because of Barnabas or other reasons, James, Peter, and these reputable apostles accepted the Apostle Paul, and these false brothers wanted to make the Apostle Paul submit to them. Paul did not care about them at all at this time, not for even a moment. What if we changed Paul's personality, what personality? A nice guy personality. What do you think he would do? If it were changed to a nice guy personality, then there would be trouble if he kept the law, and the truth of the Gospel would not remain among us. God would have chosen someone else, but fortunately, God chose the Apostle Paul, so that we still have the truth of the Gospel among us today.

In the later church, the Apostle Paul's epistles have always been regarded as the canon of the Bible. In the New Testament, because the churches established by the Apostle Paul have all survived, even though there are still these false brothers, this situation is not so common in the Apostle Paul's churches. However, after the Apostle Paul passed away, the church became more and more corrupt. Why? Because there are not many people with the same personality as the Apostle Paul! There are many who like to say nice things!

Today, I suddenly heard something. What is it? One of our sisters was hit by a car. How was she hit by a car? Someone told her, You must weep and pray for your family, because why? Because she has a child who is quite ruined. As a result, she did as this sister told her, and she wept and prayed. Do you know what it means to weep bitterly and pray for your family there?

Actually, I really haven't found such teachings in the Bible, but she likes to listen to this. The person who told her this is not actually her pastor. Why does she like to chat with this sister about these things? Because this sister is a kind person. Good-hearted people specialize in saying things that people like to hear. In fact, this kind of personality is deadly, that is, they like to say things that people like to hear. In our era, it’s called sugar-coated bullets.

Nice Guys Cannot Convey the Pure Gospel

Challenges with False Brothers and Leadership

The Apostle Paul wrote Galatians chapter 2 to ensure that the truth of the Gospel would remain among us. I ask you, what would happen if there were many false brothers in the church? Then there would be a lot of trouble, because once there are too many false brothers in the church, then there will be trouble, because they have considerable influence. Why are there so many false brothers in there? I tell you, this kind of thing is called leadership failure. False brothers have混into the church. Why doesn't anyone care? Why don't James, Peter, and John care? Because they think if I manage it like this, won't it make people fall? Good intentions! What is their logic? God wants to use them to cover many sins through love. It sounds glorious, but it cannot guarantee that the truth of the Gospel will remain among us.

Therefore, today when we brothers and sisters read this passage, we know between the lines that something happened in the Jerusalem church. If you are a leader, whether in a church or in a business, you cannot be a nice person, how can you do it if you are a nice person? So if there are still nice people among us, it is difficult for you to be a pastor. For example, Barnabas, there is a clear record in the Bible that he is a nice person. Nice people do not like to do offensive things, but if you do not like to offend people, you cannot let the truth of the Gospel remain among us, you will only say nice things. Like that sister, she is not a bad person either, she is a good person, and then some of the ideas and suggestions she gives give the other person a lot of comfort, but that is not the truth of the Gospel, isn't that a big trouble? So there are often strange situations, what is the reason for this? It is caused by good people.

So when the Apostle Paul wrote Galatians, his position among the Gentiles was already stable, and then he did not write to Peter or James, but to the churches in Galatia and the surrounding areas that were guided by these erroneous Gospels, so that the truth of the Gospel would remain among them. But it was still troublesome for him to write, and between the lines he offended those with reputation, who are those with reputation? They are James, Cephas, and John, who are the pillars of the church. Wouldn't it be troublesome if the pillars of the church were a group of nice ppl? I tell you, today's companies must not arrange nice ppl in management positions, they cannot manage. Please see what Paul said:

As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance—those men added nothing to me. On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews. For God, who was at work in the ministry of Peter as an apostle to the Jews, was also at work in my ministry as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Peter and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do (Galatians 2:6-10).

Paul Only Cares About the Truth of the Gospel

What can everyone feel after reading this? Between the lines, it reveals that many of the churches were established by the Apostle Paul. In order for the truth of the Gospel to remain among them, the Apostle Paul did not hesitate to offend these pillars of the church. Offend if you offend, it doesn't matter, for the truth of this Gospel to exist including among us.

Paul’s Determination and the Dilemma of “Nice People”

Today when we read Galatians, we must thank God that God raised up Paul. Paul does not care much about other things, he only cares about the truth of the Gospel existing among us. Some people say, Then how does he know that what he says is the truth of the gospel. Then you have to look at the results of what Paul has done. If the results are right, then the thing is right, and if the results are wrong, then the thing cannot be done right. Today we see that what the Apostle Paul preached is the powerful gospel, which is in the same vein as the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ.

Later, when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?” (Galatians 2:11-14)

Barnabas was a man who tried to please everyone. Such a person is difficult for God to use. Understand? Why was Barnabas there first, and then Peter, James, and John? Why was it necessary to bring in a Paul later? Because God found them unusable! If you read the Bible carefully, you will find that Barnabas was a good man.

Over the past period, I have found that it is difficult for good people to serve God. Why? Because good people like to say nice things and follow the crowd. Therefore, I feel that this kind of thing is difficult to align with the truth of the gospel. Following the crowd is a powerful force. I have not yet figured out why these people follow the crowd. But I guess it is because they are good people and think it is okay to compromise a little: Lest I cause you to stumble. See, this reason seems to be very gracious, fearing that those people will fall, wanting to cover many sins with love, so as not to cause them to stumble. When you come to me, what can you fall over? They have never risen. I don't think it is falling. They have always been reptiles and have never risen. So, in fact, the mentality of good people is still very deadly. I have seen many good people in the church circle. We cannot offend people, how can offending people be acceptable?

Therefore, later Paul and Barnabas also separated, because Paul and Barnabas had a dispute after returning from Jerusalem. Why the dispute? Because Barnabas was a good man. In Acts chapter 15:

Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.” Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches. (Acts 15:36-41)

Emulate Paul, Uphold the Truth of the Gospel

According to the good-hearted mentality of many of us: this is so disunited. Barnabas left with Mark, who is the Mark who wrote the Gospel of Mark. Later, Paul took Silas. Further down the road, you will find that Mark came back and followed Paul again. Because Paul is not trying to be a good man, he wants to build up people. Everything is to build up people. Don't think he has such a view of Mark that he cannot take him. Barnabas said that he must take him, but later Mark followed Paul again? I tell you: A good man is a problem. He will talk to people like a human and talk to ghosts like a ghost. He will compromise whenever he can compromise. He has no way to guarantee that the truth of the gospel still exists among us. Look at him following the crowd, how can he be good? Once a person follows the crowd, I ask you, will God still be with him? It is still a bit troublesome. In fact, if Barnabas was really for the truth of the gospel, for the sake of Jesus Christ, not even caring for his life, why would he pretend? If he is for the truth of the gospel, does he need to give people face? He does not need to.

So finally, I encourage everyone to carefully ponder today, if we want the truth of the gospel to still exist among us, do we need to emulate the apostle Paul? If we emulate the apostle Paul, Paul's attitude is: if I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. If you want to please people, you cannot serve God, you cannot build the church, and you cannot stop these false brothers from mixing in.

I have seen too many good pastors. When a brother left the church, I was jumping and celebrating in the office, and I said: Thank God. Many people saw it and did not understand, what are you celebrating? Finally, he was pastored away. Why celebrate by jumping? Because the corruption these people brought to the church was very far-reaching. I can't kick you out, right? You will find that I have never kicked anyone out. If those people are willing to leave, I will not call them back. But if you think carefully, if you come from another church, you will find that many pastors persuade them to come back..

Just like a co-worker from a church successfully pastoring a person away. As a result, his pastor severely criticized him, then went to the person's home to apologize and invite them back. What kind of thing is this? That person said that if I come back, I must have a condition. That pastor said: Tell me, what conditions do you have. He said: No one can manage me anymore. Is this not corruption? The pastor said okay, no one will dare to manage you anymore. If there are more people like this in the church, isn't this corruption? Does he believe in Jesus Christ? Can this church fight? When the devil comes, they immediately defect, immediately become traitors, immediately become spies, immediately become Han traitors, isn't that a problem? So I have seen many good pastors. Everyone should know that among our pastors, there are pastors who say human things to humans and ghost things to ghosts, and who do not like the truth of the gospel to still exist among us, then I also hope to pastor them away.

Justified by Faith, Live Out the Truth of the Law

Speaking of these words, I am really very grateful to God for giving our brothers and sisters the same conviction to let the truth of the gospel still exist among us. Today, we can actually say these words: those who are of high reputation, no matter who they are, are nothing to me. We can still say these words, those who are of high reputation have not added anything to us, but instead saw that the Lord entrusted us to preach the gospel to those who are uncircumcised, saw what God has done through us, and must also admit that God is really with us. So everyone must know what the truth of this gospel is? What kind of gospel truth did the apostle Paul try to preserve? It is one thing: people are justified not because of doing the law, but because of believing in Jesus Christ. Because believing in Jesus Christ can do what is said in the law, everyone must know one thing: the truth of the gospel is not just grace, but the grace of the gospel can enable us to live out what is required of us in the law. So when the apostle Paul wrote these things:

“We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by believing in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Galatians 2:15-21)

Justified by the Power of God

What is this long passage talking about? It is that we people, whether in history or in real life, no one can be justified by doing the law. You see that there is one person in this world, including Peter, including James, including those who promote circumcision, including those who want to promote the law, none of them have fulfilled the law completely. That is to say, in real life, we find that if people want to find a way to do the law, they cannot do it. Just with your little abilities, I see: if you want to do the law and be a good person, you can't do it. You just pretend, you are in a dilemma. If you don't pretend, you must offend these people with the Gentiles. If you pretend, you offend Paul's side. How uncomfortable are these people. Not to mention the law.

The result of doing the law is a curse. Because you can't do it, people still have to do it, and they still can't do it well, so they become sinners and then are cursed. Why did Jesus Christ die on the cross for us today? It is because he bore our curse and counted those of us who trust in him as righteous people. After being counted as righteous, these demons that control us no longer have a legal position in us. So we can drive them out with the great power of Jesus Christ! After driving them out, we can live out the law with the power of the Holy Spirit! Can everyone understand this meaning?

Break the Surface, Take the Path of Faith

Let me give you an example. We know that when a car runs on the road, it moves forward when you step on the accelerator. It moves forward when you step on the accelerator. If you want it to stop, you have to step on the brakes to slow down. If you want it to turn left, you turn the steering wheel. We have to find this way! If we want to do the law, we have to rely on Jesus Christ. If we continue with the example of the car. If I want the car to turn left, I get out of the car and turn the wheels to the left, can I turn it? I can't turn it! It's useless! Yes! If you want the car to turn left, you go to turn the wheels, can you turn it? I can't turn it!

Break the Surface, Take the Path of Faith

So, we did something that doesn't work! We often like to do superficial things. You are turning the wheels there, how can you turn the wheels on the road? Isn't it? And the car doesn't step on the accelerator, you push it behind the car, what are you doing? It looks very stupid. No one can do the law by relying on the law! Understand? If relying on the law to do the law is just pretending! Not doing practical things, playing superficial tricks. If it is said that the fundamental solution is not to continue sinning by relying on the grace of Jesus Christ, absolutely not. Understand? Don't put a hat of no action on the apostle Paul. How can people have no action? The action they did is much more powerful than you. It is those who are justified by the law who cannot be justified! Because the law is not done like this.

That is to say, the people who say these words have not even understood the law according to the rules of the law. Because the summary of the law is Christ. What does it mean? Was Genesis written by Moses? Genesis was written by Moses! That is, the five books of the law were written by Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. This is called the book of the law. If you understand the book of the law, you can also do it. But you didn't understand it! Can you read the law from Genesis? You can't read the law from Genesis. What you read from Genesis is faith. So the summary of the law is Jesus Christ. What is Jesus Christ? It is justification by faith in Jesus Christ.

Abraham pioneered the path of faith! Abraham did not pioneer the path of law! The path of faith pioneered by Abraham cannot be abolished by the law written by Moses 430 years later! Understand? Moses wrote the law and also wrote Genesis, writing clearly the path of faith pioneered by Abraham! If a person carefully reads the law of Moses, what will you read? This way is not far from you! This way is not difficult to do, it is in your mouth, it is in your heart. What does it mean? If you have faith, if you really believe in God, you can rely on God by faith and live out God's law!

But the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life! If people only grasp the letter, that is, they cannot grasp the essence. Grasp the essence, what is the essence? Both the Old Testament and the New Testament are talking about the righteous living by faith! So in the past, those who did the law could not do it. And today in the New Testament, until today, those who do not hold fast to justification by faith cannot live out the image of Jesus Christ!

What kind of faith is that faith? The study of faith is very big! It is the faith of the apostle Paul! Do you ask Peter if he believes in Jesus? He believes in Jesus! Do you ask James if he believes in Jesus? They believe in Jesus! Do you ask Barnabas if he believes in Jesus? He also believes in Jesus! Then why pretend? Because they mixed behavior into their faith. They turned behavior into a part of the foundation of faith. Understand? That is to say, we must know one thing today. What the apostle Paul is saying is not zero and one; it is either open or closed; it is either zero or one. He does not have such a concept. What is his concept? Rely on the Holy Spirit to put to death the evil deeds of the body!

Rely on the Holy Spirit to Put to Death the Flesh, Hold Fast to the Pure Gospel

So Galatians speaks very clearly later on, rely on the Holy Spirit to put to death the evil deeds of the body! So the apostle Paul let the truth of this gospel still exist among us is this sentence. So we know today

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)

I ask you, if Jesus Christ lives in us, how can he live out weakness? He will surely live out God's strength; he will surely gain strength from God and be able to do the works of the law! If a person wants to do the law by relying on the flesh, I think you should forget it.

So today, brothers and sisters, begin to hold fast to this pure gospel. In those days, the apostle Paul tried his best to go to Jerusalem to see those who were of high reputation, and then asked them to write a letter. Then he wrote that letter and took that letter to the Gentiles, establishing a position among the Gentiles. Then he wrote Galatians to resist those false gospels, to resist those false gospels of the old good people.

Summary

So today, brothers and sisters, begin to restore this strong character in Jesus Christ, rely on Jesus Christ to be strengthened again through faith, know that it is not by works that we are justified; know that it is not by the law that we are justified; know that it is not by our own flesh that we do some good deeds to be justified, but by Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we gain the power of the Holy Spirit.

So the third chapter talks about receiving the Holy Spirit, is it because of doing the law or because of hearing and believing the gospel?

So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? (Galatians 3:5)

The key is here! Today you and I rely on the Holy Spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ, rely on the Holy Spirit to live out a higher standard than the law! That is the standard of Jesus Christ. What is the standard of Jesus Christ? The standard of Jesus Christ is to completely dedicate oneself to God! Why would you completely dedicate yourself to God? Because you believe in God! As a result, nothing can stop us from living out the image of God and from living out what the law requires of us. Is it okay to do good? Yes! But it is definitely not a superficial effort! Is it okay to do the law? Absolutely okay! It is definitely not a superficial effort! It is relying on the Jesus Christ who lives in us, relying on the Holy Spirit who lives in us, to rely on his great power and strength to be strong. This word is not referring to that era. Even today, we still have to strive to run for the sake of the truth of the gospel to exist among us! May God bless everyone!
