Introduction

Recently, we have been dealing with the spirits of Wong Tai Sin. These are matters of the spiritual realm, and I urge everyone not to think we are just messing around. Many people whose children are about to take university entrance exams go to temples to pray. In reality, they do not understand; this is superstition. We must understand the underlying logic. Things like weasels are just deceiving and fooling people. We must understand God in our understanding, and we must figure things out no matter what we do.

The Christian faith is a faith of spirituality plus understanding. Why is it that our prayers are effective, while the prayers of many churches are not? It is because they have not figured it out. For it is the Spirit of God that gives life. The things that a person lives through are all spiritual matters. If a spirit of a particular illness is upon you, then you will have that illness. Many things are unseen and intangible, so you have to experiment.

God Speaks to Moses and the Israelites

In the blink of an eye, the Israelites left Egypt, crossed the Red Sea, and experienced God providing for them when they had no food or water. Then, after three months, they arrived at Mount Sinai, and the people of Israel heard God speaking to Moses:

Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” (Exodus 19:3-6)

So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. All the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord. And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord, (Exodus 19:7-9)

On the third day, there was thunder, lightning, a thick cloud, and the sound of a trumpet. The people in the camp had never seen anything like it, and they were very afraid. Then Moses led the people out to meet God. Then they saw Mount Sinai, with the mountain ablaze as if it were blackened by fire, and the whole mountain trembled greatly, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Moses spoke, and God answered him with a voice. If today someone were to lead the brothers and sisters and have God’s voice respond to him, it would be quite shocking. But even if this event is shocking, it will be forgotten in a few days. I am very surprised. The brothers and sisters among us experience miracles every day, but what are they thinking in their minds?

Hearing with our own ears and seeing with our own eyes the mighty works of God cannot completely change us. What completely changes us is the thoughts in our hearts. If the thoughts in our hearts do not change, nothing will work. Among us, everyone can see many phenomena, that is, many people are healed, and they begin to decide in their hearts to deal with the underlying logic: Why did I live before? What can solve the problem? Trusting in God can solve the problem.

You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me, Nor Make Idols

On Wednesday, we studied the Bible, that those who trust in God will never be put to shame. What is it that people are filled with inside? Moses led the people to stand below Mount Sinai; it was simply too shocking. The people had been slaves for so many years, and it was difficult to change them in a short time. Everyone looked for a while and then forgot. In fact, God is too powerful! We must know that living for God is such a glorious Mingding Destiny! From now on, the thoughts and intentions in our minds must be completely changed. God said on Mount Sinai:

And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.(Exodus 20:1-2)

Before believing in the Lord, we were all in the house of slavery, which means we are all slaves of this world, like car slaves, house slaves, etc., not free at all.

You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.(Exodus 20:3-6)

You shall have no other gods before me, meaning that if you create a god for yourself, you will be in trouble. If you take your most core things as God, if you take anything as God, then you will live in the wrath of God! Everyone must know that the images of animals are very spiritual, that is, you can probably know what kind of control a person has by what kind of image he likes.

The Ten Commandments Are the Bottom Line

Because the Lord is a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. Today this word still stands and has not changed. If you keep God's commandments, you will receive God's love. Some people say that they have never received God's love, then you are a person who does not love God, and what you receive is God's wrath. We must ponder these things. The Ten Commandments are a fundamental aspect, which is a very simple thing, but it represents many things.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.(Exodus 20:7-11)

This saying is quite interesting. Some people take the matter of observing the Sabbath very seriously. Today, Christians observe seven days a week. The standard of Christians exceeds the Sabbath. From now on, everything is done for God. The Sabbath is that God created a law, that one day out of seven days a week is to draw near to God. On this day, do not do your laborious work. If you are working hard all seven days a week, then what are you doing? If you are laboring to work, then labor is your God. Put down your work! Some people say, if I don’t work, how will I earn money? Today God tells you that you must rest on that day, that is the Sabbath! Rest and Sabbath are definitely not the same thing. Sabbath is walking with God. On this day, we must draw near to God, read God's Word, and begin to worship our God.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. “You shall not murder. “You shall not commit adultery. “You shall not steal. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.(Exodus 20:12-17)

Pay the Price, Establish a First-Hand Relationship with God

These are the words that God spoke to the Israelites in the air. When the people saw the thunder and lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, they trembled and stood far off. The people said to Moses:

They said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” The people stood far off, but Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.(Exodus 20:19-21)

What are these people thinking? How can people think like this? I am also very surprised. Some people do not like to do things firsthand, they prefer secondhand. Some people say that we do not need to establish a relationship with God, it is OK for us to establish a relationship with God through you. Later I discovered that there are no grandchildren in the kingdom of God, only children. So we need to understand, what the Israelites said is very interesting, and there are many people like this today.

For example, a pastor came to me and asked me if I could pray for his wife's earache, which had been hurting for several months, and the prayer healed it. I was surprised, why didn't he pray himself? Another pastor asked me to pray for her mother, but she didn't pray herself. Why not be like me?

I find that many people want to learn, but they can't learn, because what is in their minds is secondhand. Today I am telling you the most important thing, that is, someone wants to seek a secondhand thing. Instead of listening to me every day, it is better for you to listen to God yourself. You have to pray and seek with us, and you have to read the Bible yourself. Remember, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.

Someone said that a pastor has been doing it for more than 20 years, why hasn't he found it? I tell you, because you can't afford the price I paid. This thing has to be taken seriously. If you want to fool around and cheat some money, that is not difficult. But if you want to be like me, it is not a skill, it is about paying the price. As long as you have my ambition, you can be like me, the key is that he can't afford the price!

The pastor business is a conscientious job! The brother of a pastor I met said that the pastor's job is good, only two hours a week. I saw a pastor taking care of his children at home every day. Can you learn if you come to me? This is not a skill, it is an attitude! It is disgusting to smoke secondhand smoke, and it is not a very good thing to receive the Word of God secondhand!

I still encourage you, can you eat the Word of God into your bones? What is paying the price? Paying the price is my core interest. This is what I was born for and what I will die for! Among us, how many have Mingding Destiny? Many!

Being a pastor is a high-risk profession. Many pastors get cancer, and the statistics are higher than normal. Since you are in this business, you have to be serious with God. A few days ago, a pastor came to us. He established a church, but in the end everyone was miserable, and everyone dispersed. You have to be able to pay the price!

Awe of God, Not Fear of God

I urge everyone to constantly be in awe of God, so as not to sin. If you have awe of God, you will not easily sin; if you do not have awe of God, then there will be trouble. Sin is no small matter; God will surely punish it! Our God is a God who speaks! Is it love or fear that we have for God in our hearts? Awe and fear are two different things. Fear turns our God into a triad boss. If you love our God, how can you fear if you choose to love Him?

God had Moses bring Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel up the mountain. God prepared a very beautiful feast for them on the mountain. They saw under the feet of the God of Israel something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself! I cannot fully understand it, but I can imagine it. You should know that the place where God’s feet stand can be turned into treasure. They ate and drank the good food that God had prepared for them.

I think that when people hear God speak, see God, eat the food that God has prepared for them, and see the bright jewels under God’s feet, think about the great impact it has on their hearts! We must live for God all our lives. The things we see in this world are rubbish. We consider everything as dung, only gaining Jesus Christ as the most precious! This is the conclusion that should be drawn from experiencing God: to live a life based on trusting in God.

We Do as God Says

Today, I encourage everyone to have Mingding Destiny. Everyone must have a foundation, which is to live by the word of God, and you will surely live out the glorious image of God. Why did God do this? God brought Moses up to the mountain, and the leaders of Israel managed the people of Israel well below, because God was going to tell him on the mountain how to build the temple and the tabernacle.

So Moses went up alone, and Joshua went up with him. Joshua stayed halfway up the mountain, and Moses stayed on the mountain for forty days and nights without eating or drinking. God told Moses how to build the tabernacle, what materials to use, how long, wide, and high it should be, and so on. It turns out that our God is a designer, telling Moses about what He designed.

The tabernacle is the place where God dwells, just like a person wants to live in his renovated house. One of our sisters likes pink very much. If I make it gray, she won’t like it. Today, we are decorating a place for God, and we must do it according to God’s will, otherwise how can God’s presence come down? Moses was on the mountain for forty days and nights, and God told him what materials to use. God told Moses everything without reservation. As a result, after it was built, God’s glory descended on the tabernacle, and the glory filled the tabernacle, with a cloud covering the tabernacle.

Moses was on the mountain for forty days and nights, and he did as God instructed. Moses wrote it clearly in the Book of Exodus, explaining every detail clearly. Moses strictly followed God’s word and made a golden plate of pure gold, engraved with: Holy to the Lord.

Only by Fully Dedicating Yourself to God Can You Become Holy

If you ask me how to become holy? Then be holy to the Lord. If you dedicate ten percent to God and keep the rest for yourself, then you have ninety percent impurity and only ten percent holiness. If you offer yourself as a complete sacrifice to God, you are a holy person. This is what the Bible says.

Think carefully about why people get sick? Because people are impure. Why do the evil spirits of old horses and yellow weasels come to you? Because you have not fully dedicated yourself to God.

Moses was on the mountain for forty days and nights, and then something happened. The people waited below for one day, but Moses still did not return; they waited another day, and they were all guessing: Did something happen to Moses? In the blink of an eye, a week, two weeks passed, and there was no news. The people are just the people, but didn’t the seventy elders see God? The people said to Aaron, Make us gods who will go before us; as for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.

Aaron listened to the people and threw the gold and silver into the fire and carved a golden calf. When Aaron saw it, he built an altar in front of the calf, offered sacrifices, and ate, drank, and played. Then the Lord commanded Moses, Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it.

I don’t quite understand where their brains went. Moses went up the mountain, and the work was not yet finished. God had just commanded not to build idols, and in a month or so it became like this. Could they not have waited a few more days? Aaron was very obedient and listened to them and made a golden calf. I don’t quite understand this matter. Maybe you are similar to these people. If you are similar to these people and make these things, the evil spirits behind them are very powerful and strange.

Many people worship idols and think they are worshiping the true God. Anything that is not made according to God’s word is an idol. If people act according to God’s word, it will not happen. As a result, God said: “I have seen these people, and they are a stiff-necked people. Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them, and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”

But Moses pleaded with the LORD his God and said, “O LORD, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger and relent from this disaster against your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.’” (Exodus 32:11-13)

As a result, God regretted it and did not bring the disaster he had said he would bring on his people. This dialogue is very interesting. What exactly did Moses say? The Lord regretted it. Our God is very interesting. I want to destroy them. Moses said no, the people will say: they were brought out to be killed. Please do not bring disaster.

The best way to interact with God is to often remind God of his promises, especially when God brings disaster. God does not like to bring disaster. People forget God at any time, and this is not as good as it should be. Here, do the people of Israel who believe in God believe that something will happen to Moses? If you believe in God, this matter is very simple. You have persisted for so many days, and you did this on the first two days of the forty days. True faith is the faith to persevere.

Golden Calf Incident

Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the covenant in his hands. The tablets were inscribed on both sides, front and back. Joshua heard the sound of the people shouting and said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp.” Moses replied, “It is not the sound of victory, it is not the sound of defeat; it is the sound of singing that I hear.”

And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it. And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them? And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. (Exodus 32:19-22)

When people can tell good from evil, they like to shift responsibility to others.

They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us; as for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’ So I told them, ‘Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.’ Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf! Aaron was also quite bad. As a result, Moses said, Whoever is for the LORD, come to me. And all the Levites rallied to him.

Then Moses said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one gate to another, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’” The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand people died. Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” This is difficult to understand. We need to know that being holy to the Lord is our benefit. Why attack our brothers? This is difficult to explain. I am also in trouble. You can listen to what you can. This is what the Bible says.

Moses said, Today you are to be consecrated to the LORD, for every one of you was against his son and his brother, and so the LORD has blessed you this day. (Exodus 32:29)

After reading it, I found it difficult to understand. Being holy to the Lord is our core interest. This is what the Bible says. As a result, Moses went up the mountain again.

So Moses went back to the LORD and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.” (Exodus 32:31-32)

The LORD replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. (Exodus 32:33)

Today, we can think carefully and not make idols for ourselves, and God will surely bless us. Never make idols for ourselves. There are too many people who make idols for themselves today, especially business people. Business is their life. If business is not done well and conflicts with God, they will choose their own business first.

After the past year, I gradually discovered that some people love money above everything else. When you try them with money, you will see what their reaction is. Brothers and sisters, don’t think that it is okay to take out money to donate, but when your money is really touched, will you show your wolf teeth? Today, let us remove all the idols in our hearts. Can we completely be holy to the Lord?

If you are a person with Chinese Mingding Destiny, there is only one thing in our hearts that cannot be touched, and that is our God. It doesn’t matter whether we have anything or not. We must know that God will surely punish people’s sins. If you do not trust in Jesus Christ, you will bear your own sins.

Conclusion

If you trust in Jesus Christ but still trust in your business and your money, that is spiritual adultery. There is no point in trusting in Jesus Christ in this way. Today, let us remove the golden calf in our hearts. We must clearly know that God is a jealous God. May God bless everyone!
