Many people think of our God as some Santa Claus, bestowing blessings but never curses. Is this really the case?
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished. (Revelation 15:1).
God is loving, but God is also a consuming fire. The righteousness of God is revealed through His wrath. God created two kinds of people in this world: those who manifest God's grace and mercy, and those who manifest God's wrath. Which will you choose to be today?
In the end times, God's wrath will be poured out upon this world. If you are still on this earth at that time, only one thing remains for you: to become a vessel of God's wrath, to experience unprecedented great disasters.
The end of all things is near. Looking at this age, the hearts of men are increasingly corrupt. One day God will destroy this age, as He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Will you still cling tightly to the things of this world, desperately trying to live well in this life? Only the victorious can enter eternity, standing on the sea of glass, singing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus.
God will use the church to trample all things under its feet. All of life's problems can be solved through the church. Building God's glorious church is of utmost importance. After reading Revelation 15, can we put aside our petty concerns today, keep and obey God's word, trample the devil and the enemy, let all things be trampled under the feet of the church, and let God's glory be continually manifested in this generation, filling the whole earth!
Foreword
Do not think that Revelation is talking about something else. Revelation repeatedly speaks of God's victorious people. The price paid by a victor brings God's glory, while the suffering of a non-victor has no glory.
When we read Revelation chapter 15, we must have a clear vision: if you are still on this earth at the time described in Revelation 15, you are basically a vessel of God's wrath. God created all things and man, and divided the people on this earth into two categories, not into men and women, but into those who manifest God's grace, mercy, and love, and those who manifest God's wrath. God is full of mercy, grace, and love, but God is also a consuming fire, and He will manifest His wrath. So, do not mistake God for Santa Claus.
People Need to Begin to Know God
And they sing the song of God's servant Moses and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed. (Revelation 15:3-4)
We must begin to know God, to know how great our God truly is. Not just the solar system, but every galaxy in the universe was created by God. Our God is so great that He can govern all things.
I shared with a sister today that many people do not know how great our God is. Even among many believers, fear is often propagated, but I want to convey faith. Do not be afraid. God is the greatest, most wonderful, and most powerful God. We must all tremble at His word. This is the duty of us Christians. If you do not know how to fear God, you truly lack wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! (Psalm 111:10)
If a person does not fear God, he has no wisdom. In Revelation 15, it describes God's ways as just and true. God is just, He is not Santa Claus. Our God is great and awesome.
Once, I was talking with a rather persistent brother who said that curses do not come from God. I told him to read Deuteronomy in the Bible to see whether curses come from God or from demons. I think as long as you read the word of God, no matter which version you read, it will not affect its overall meaning. Reading the entire Bible completely will lead to the same conclusion. There is no need to nitpick. That is why we must grasp the theme each time we read the Bible. The theme of this chapter is that God's righteousness is to be revealed through wrath.
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished. (Revelation 15:1).
We need to know that God has long told us about these last days, and we see the things in Revelation happening again and again in this generation. If people still do not know to fear the Lord your God, and still take work and personal matters so seriously, it is very dangerous.
I believe that in our time, the world may very well progress to Revelation chapter 15. Before the first seven seals, we talked about the church. The seventh seal includes the seven trumpets, and the seventh trumpet includes the seven bowls. The pace of this era is getting faster and faster. The seven bowls account for one-seventh of the seven trumpets, and the seven trumpets account for one-seventh of the seven seals. The pace of the end times is very fast.
The suffering people are experiencing during this time surpasses what any other era has had to endure. Next week, we will talk about Revelation 16, the disasters that will occur on this earth after God pours out the seven bowls. God will manifest His wrath on this earth. Even if people survive on this earth, only one thing remains for them: to manifest God's wrath.
Fear God and Keep and Obey His Word
In Revelation chapter 14, God harvests those on earth who fear Him. Although they are harvested quickly, it is much better than being left on earth. Those who remain will experience extremely painful disasters, unprecedented great and amazing disasters. So, brothers and sisters, begin to fear God. The end is like this: you reap what you sow. You must understand that what you sow today will surely be harvested in the future.
If you believe in God, believe well. Otherwise, do not believe at all. To fear God and to keep and obey His word is the only way to be blessed. There are a thousand ways to be cursed. Not all roads lead to Rome; all roads lead to curses. There is only one road that leads to blessing: that is, to keep and obey God's word. To keep means to strictly obey, and to obey means to practice God's word. This is a wise person.
Keep and obey the words of the Lord your God, keep and obey the statutes and ordinances of the Lord your God. Living in such an era as this, you will see God's righteousness being manifested. Before, we always felt that God was not fair, and we always felt that we had suffered a lot for God. We often have this feeling. But it does not matter. Our God is just and true. He is a God of righteousness and truth.
Whether it is blessings or curses, as described in the Bible, they must be according to the rules set by God to bless His people, and curses are also in accordance with the curses He has declared upon the people of the earth. All who violate God's word will be cursed. Because the seven bowls that God has prepared are filled with God's wrath, which will be poured out on this earth, you will see the temple filled with God's glory and power, and no one can enter the temple.
You must not offend God, no matter who else you offend. Why should I commit such a great evil and sin against God? This is what Joseph said when facing his master's wife. This is a kind of reverence for God. We must know to fear God, and God will give glory to you.
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished. (Revelation 15:1)
This is God through the beast,
And they sing the song of God's servant Moses and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed. (Revelation 15:3-4)
We must remember these words, and often tell ourselves to strictly obey the word of God.
Tremble at the Word of God
God is looking for a place to rest. The Lord says that all these things were made by my hand, and so all these things came into being. But the ones I look upon are those who are humble and contrite in spirit and who tremble at my word. So, brothers and sisters, all must tremble at the word of God. That means read the word of God with a very strict attitude. This is very important.
Brothers and sisters, do you know? I often encounter some Christians, and I ask them if they have read the Bible. They say they have. I ask them how much they have read. They say they have not finished it even once. I ask them how long they have been believers. They say they have been believers for more than twenty years. They have not finished reading it even once in more than twenty years of believing. These people really do not know how precious the word of God really is. The words of God are all written through the precious blood of Jesus Christ and the lives of the prophets.
If you do not know to tremble at the word of God, if you do not know that the word of God in the Bible is very precious, and then we do not carefully read it, nor do we carefully understand it, but instead often argue, take things out of context, and talk nonsense, that is really deadly. Do not think that the title I am a Christian can protect you. If you keep and obey the word of God, God will bless you and protect you. If you do not keep and obey it, you will be directly cursed.
Do not think that you have believed in a gospel and therefore you believe in the Lord and believe in Jesus! I say: you believe in Jesus, what do you believe in? This person directly replies: I just believe in Jesus! With such a vague attitude of believing in the Lord, you cannot receive blessings. What is receiving blessings? It is keeping and obeying the word of God. Those who tremble at the Lord listen to His word. We read the word of God and then we do it. That is a wise person. Do not let foolishness blind our hearts.
Have a Strict Attitude Toward the Word of God
We have the opportunity to believe in the Lord in this lifetime, and we have the Bible to read. Do we really value this? If our brothers and sisters do not often value these things, they do not know God very well. In the past few years, I have read the Bible very carefully, but I still often missed things. It was not until a few years ago that I read that the apostles Peter, John, and Paul each asked people who were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ: Have you received the Holy Spirit?
I had been a believer in the church for so many years, but how come I never read that? Later I read it because I started thinking about what receiving the Holy Spirit was all about. I started thinking about how to transform people's lives, and how to let the Holy Spirit make our lives more and more holy. Then I started searching the Bible, and the results shocked me greatly.
It turned out that it was clearly written in the Bible to keep and obey, and to have a strict attitude towards the word of God. God's revelation has long been clearly written in the Bible. Misunderstanding and misinterpreting God brings curses. God has already written His words in the Bible. What does the Bible say?
For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
Do Not Be Afraid of Death, God Has Prepared Enough Grace for Us
As long as you have the heart to seek, you will surely find. So, our brothers and sisters must learn to overcome the beast, overcome the image of the beast, and overcome the number of the beast. You know that overcoming the beast is overcoming the spirit of politics, overcoming the image of the beast is overcoming the spirit of religion, and overcoming the number of the beast, the spirit of mammon, is overcoming the spirit of economics. We people live in this world. We must know that those who cannot overcome these three spirits are people who are afraid of death. If you are afraid of death, you cannot overcome the beast, nor can you overcome the image of the beast, nor can you overcome the number of the beast.
So, I encourage everyone to start trying today, no longer living in fear of death. Our God has already won the victory for us. The victorious stand on the sea of glass, and those who remain face judgment, great disasters. Whether victorious or not, we cannot live on this earth forever. God is going to destroy this world. There is no need to regret it. No one can live forever. Whether we like it or not, it is just like this. Choosing to be victorious allows us to enter eternity, standing on the sea of glass singing the song of Moses and Jesus Christ.
Do not be afraid of death. If a person is afraid of death in this life, the things of this world will scare you to death. Actually, if you look closely, why do people get cancer and many other serious diseases in this world? It is because they are afraid of death. They always want to live, always want to live a little better, so they learn to love money and love the things of this world. They think that loving money and loving the things of this world will allow them to live a little better. Actually, no. The result of fearing death is being captured by this life.
If you want to live well today, I give you the best advice: that is to be victorious, that is to no longer be afraid of death. Being afraid is useless. Do not be afraid of anything today. Afraid of conflict? No need to be afraid of conflict. Afraid of death? No need to be afraid of death. Afraid of not having money? Not afraid of not having money. Afraid of encountering difficulties? Not afraid of encountering difficulties. If you are not afraid of death, what else are you afraid of? Today, some brothers and sisters have unnecessary worries in this world, and unnecessary anxieties. What does our God say? If you truly believe in God, our God says this:
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (Matthew 6:26)
God will surely feed you, so do not worry. Is that not right? There was a brother who cried for three days when his wife was pregnant because his financial situation was not very good. I said: Why are you crying? He said: I cannot afford to raise a child. I said: Children are raised by God. They come with their own rations. Now his child has grown up to be several years old and is going to school.
So, we brothers and sisters think that we need to do this and that in order to do what? But are not all people raised by the heavenly Father? You really cannot die, and even if your time to die has come, it is nothing great, so do not offend God no matter who else you offend! If you offend God, you will live in a curse in this world, and you will not live well, and you cannot die well. Then everything will be bad. But if you are not afraid of death, and you do not offend God for the sake of being afraid of death, you do not need to care. As a result, you will live well, live in blessings, live in the presence of God, and then even die well. How great is that!
Brothers and sisters, start today to have a strict attitude towards the word of God. Do not let foolishness blind your heart. Our God is a just God. These things said in the Bible will all come to pass. Even if the heavens and earth pass away, not one stroke of God's word will pass away. Do you understand? That is, we must keep the word of God! I feel afraid for some people. A friend of mine, who is greatly influenced by me, put this passage from Mark chapter 16 on the tracts of their church. This passage is:
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:17-18)
He put it in the place where tracts are placed at the entrance of the church. As a result, the pastor of their church was unhappy. The pastor said: How can you put this there? He said: This is the word of the Bible, why can't I put it there? His pastor said this: This passage should not be in the Bible in the first place. Oh my goodness! It's like he wrote the Bible.
How good is the word of God! Is it not? What words are better than these! I wish the word of God could become a real life, even if I cannot live it out, I am willing to believe that these words are real. The words of the Bible are not up to us to say whether they should be there or not. This passage has been in the Bible for two thousand years, at least one thousand years. No one has said that this passage was added later. Moreover, these words were spoken by our Lord Jesus. Is there anything wrong with Jesus speaking these words? There is nothing wrong with this passage. Do not have a wrong understanding of God, and treat the word of God strictly and seriously. Then I tell you, you will become the resting place of God because you tremble at His word. So, brothers and sisters, you must know that the disasters that God is going to send down are real, and the curses of God are all real.
Curses Also Come From God
A brother of mine was afflicted with a very severe illness, experiencing frequent gastric bleeding, yet he was zealous in serving God. He debated with me with great conviction, asserting that curses do not originate from God but from the devil. As if the devil were so powerful! The devil is merely a servant of God, performing a duty: clearing away rubbish, taking it to where it belongs. Therefore, we, as brothers and sisters, must carefully read the Scriptures and avoid making rash statements. We cannot conjure up truth by mere guesswork; we must begin to read the Word of God with diligence and seriousness. We should act according to what God's Word says. Look at the audacity of those who forbid speaking in tongues, when the Scriptures speak so clearly about it! The Bible says:
What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. (1 Corinthians 14:15)
Recently, I felt a prompting: we must genuinely begin to sing in the spirit and also with understanding, to start composing new songs for God. Have we truly treated the Word of God seriously today? Do not presume that praying only with understanding is sufficient. The Bible does not say so! Do you think that praying with understanding is enough, that you are a good person? Being a good person is not enough; it is heeding and obeying God's Word that counts!
You must believe God's Word; what one chooses is what one receives. You reap what you sow. If you believe God's Word, you will diligently put it into practice; if you do not believe God's Word, it will not come to pass for you. We should not think that the Bible contains verses where God says, “I will bless you with cancer.” There are no such words. It sounds strange to say that God's blessing is wishing cancer upon someone. So, what does the Bible actually say?
If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God, then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, severe and prolonged illnesses, and serious and lingering diseases. Moreover, He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt which you dreaded, and they will cling to you. The Lord will also bring on you every sickness and plague which, not written in this book of the law, until you are destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:58-61)
Illness is clearly a curse. If people say you are sick, that is also a curse. If you see me severely ill, you can know that it is due to the sins I committed before. There is no need to spare my feelings; I do not need face. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, let us not feign holiness as if we are Holy, holy. Only God is “Holy, holy, holy.” There is no need for us to pretend to be so holy. If we must put on such an act, then trouble arises. Why? Because that is called hypocrisy.
We must genuinely face ourselves. I know where I still fall short of God's heart. I strive to deal with my own flaws, but sometimes I lack the fear of God. You might ask: Do you not fear God? Sometimes, indeed, I do not fear God, but I desire to fear God at all times. Do you know how difficult it is for someone like me to believe in the Lord? God struck me heavily, transforming me from a non-believer into a believer.
God struck me heavily because I did not adhere to and obey His Word in building His church, resulting in a situation where I was besieged on all sides—a heavy blow indeed. But I had a bit of cleverness, which knew that this was not a good situation. So, I studied God's Word diligently and tried my best to put it into practice as much as I could, eventually establishing a victorious church that could strike the devil, our enemy. If we only perform superficial actions, like certain pastors or pastor's wives, certain individuals or leaders who contract cancer and then try to maintain a facade of holiness, it is of little use. We must tell people that we have not adhered to and obeyed God's Word, and therefore, disaster has befallen us.
There are not many Jobs in this generation. I have not counted, and I cannot make reckless statements, but there are very few Jobs in the entire Bible. Therefore, today, my brothers and sisters, let us not assume that we are Job, as I used to do. When struck by God, I thought I was like Job, but in reality, I had not adhered to and obeyed God's Word. Thank God! I still had that bit of cleverness.
He who kills an ox is like one who slays a man; he who sacrifices a lamb is like one who breaks a dog’s neck; he who presents a grain offering is like one who offers swine’s blood; he who burns incense is like one who praises an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations. (Isaiah 66:3)
Do you understand? People all go their own way. One must diligently read God's Word. If we have not adhered to and obeyed in any area, I tell you, you will surely see God's revelation. When curses come upon us, when bad things happen to us, we have only one course of action: do not pretend to be holy before our brothers and sisters, but reflect on ourselves well. We must tremble at the Word of the Lord. Then, I tell you, God's blessings will surely come upon us, and the blessings God has promised will be as described in Deuteronomy 28:1-13.
Whether in the field or in the city, the blessings God has destined will pursue you and come upon you. The Word of God is righteous and true. How just and faithful our God is! Our God is great and wondrous. He will never let His Word return void. What God has revealed in the Bible will be fulfilled in this generation. The prophecies He has revealed in the Bible, because we are in this generation, are being fulfilled in various ways.
Love The Lord Your God With All Your Heart, Soul, And Strength
So, today, brothers and sisters, begin to lay down yourselves. Whether you like it or not, begin to lay down yourselves. Do not love the world or the things of the world; choose to love God alone.
Last night, I was leading worship and a prayer meeting. I led everyone in singing the song Love the Lord Your God with All Your Heart, Soul, and Strength. I said, God, I want to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, and strength! Love You! Love You… my God! As I said this, I felt a strong sensation within me. My eyes actually became wet. Why? It seemed as if I saw what God is accomplishing in this generation, that God wants to restore in this generation the attitude people should have towards His Word, to restore the power that God’s Word should inherently have in this generation.
Our gospel is a powerful gospel; our God is a God who raises people from the dead. Today, we must all begin to shoulder this Mingding Destiny, to begin proclaiming a victorious theology, no longer passively taking beatings, but beginning to trample on the devil, our enemy, as written in Ephesians. What does Ephesians say?
And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23)
That is, according to the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. In this generation, God wants to reveal one thing through us: that all things must be placed under our feet, that the church must become the body of Jesus Christ, that God will make Jesus Christ the head of all things for the church. You say, What I see is not like that. That is alright. From now on, we will resolve to act according to God’s Word. From now on, what we see is that the church will trample on the devil, our enemy.
Conclusion: God Wants to Manifest His Glory Through Us in the Last Days
Today, I was talking with a brother, and this brother is so adorable. He said, What I see is mostly the devil trampling on the church, and rarely the church trampling on the devil. But can we, from today onwards, resolve to be determined to adhere to and obey God's Word? Starting today, trample on the devil, our enemy! Let all things be trampled under the feet of the church! Our God wants to manifest His glory through us, and then people will begin to say: Righteous, true, great, and wondrous! Our God prepares a powerful gospel for us, to save all who believe. Let us believe His Word until we see the second coming of Jesus Christ, so that God's glory may continue to be manifested in this generation, filling the whole earth! Let the knowledge of the Lord God fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. This generation shall give glory to our God. Amen!
