Being a Victorious Christian
Today, we conclude the 201 course with the final lesson, Lesson 4, titled Victorious Disciples, Victorious Church! I find that there is much to learn in being a Christian. Brothers and sisters, know that anything done well is powerful. Christians are no exception! If you believe in the Lord in a half-hearted, muddled, and careless manner, you will gain nothing! What will you gain? You will gain a curse.
A characteristic of this world is that the difference between victory and defeat is vast! If China loses a battle, it must pay reparations and apologize. But if you win, others pay you, don't they? Who can argue with that?
If you are not victorious as a Christian, what is the point of being one? Many Christians are not victorious, but the concept is easily explained. So you no longer say, He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world, only to find that it is not so. Why? Because we are not victorious as Christians.
Why are Christians not victorious? Because they are not living up to the standard of a Christian as described in the Bible.
Brothers and sisters, understand that if you build an airplane without following the principles of aviation, can it fly? Even if it does take off, it won't come down. So today, let us all set our minds and resolve to be outstanding, victorious Christians.
I have always been a good student, and I understand this principle well. Whatever you do, you must follow the original principles and rules. You cannot be careless. Learning has its rules, living has its rules, and being a Christian must conform to the way described in the Bible. How wonderful it is to be a victorious Christian! So Lesson 4 is titled Victorious Disciples and Victorious Church. This applies not only to being a Christian but also to building a church.
A Victorious Church
Someone once messed around in the church (not intentionally), and was eventually sued by the members, even though he had done nothing wrong. I learned a lesson from him: we must build a victorious church! Therefore, our church has very high standards for Christians, so high that the leaders of ordinary churches are about the same level as the average Christians in our church. I thank God that the average Christians in our church are very proficient in Bible study and leading healing and deliverance.
Brothers and sisters, if we are not serious, how can we be victorious? When I first developed the 201 course, this lesson summarized the previous lessons. I struggled with this lesson for quite some time, as I had never thought about this issue before. For example, we used to think that evangelism simply meant getting people to believe in Jesus, and what did they believe in? They believed that Jesus was crucified for our sins, and that was it. I always felt that something was not quite right. So I reflected, and for months I was so engrossed that my brothers and sisters around me said, Are you being oppressed? I was so engrossed that I was determined to write the 201 course clearly. Therefore, I consider the 201 course to be one of the most satisfying things I have written, from its structure to its content, adjusting it over and over again.
Where is the root of the matter? You might say, If everyone believed like you, how would we live? Later, I studied Genesis chapters 5, 11, 12, etc. If you are willing to listen, go ahead. You must understand what it means to live. If you don't understand what it means to live, how can you live? I think that if a person understands what it means to live, he will certainly be an outstanding Christian when he believes in the Lord.
Today, I want to tell you that the gospel we preach is good news. Life in this world is inherently meaningless. If you understand that it is inherently meaningless, then being busy, working, and then one day, two days, and then more than thirty thousand days, more than twenty thousand days, and then dying, is meaningless!
Willing to Pay the Price, to Live for God
If you are willing to pay this price, you must know that the purpose of human life is inherently meaningless, just living day after day. Then I asked a question: Are humans the same as horses, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, and dogs? It seems like eat, sleep, wake up, eat again, then sleep; after finishing breakfast, prepare lunch; after finishing lunch, prepare dinner. Doing this all day long, day after day, and then it's over. Is that how to live?
The reason I became a resounding Christian is because, in my youth, I believed that living was not like this; living was meaningless. Later, I said to live for God. After knowing God and becoming a Christian, I said living for God is the purpose of my life. You may not accept these words. That's alright. Observe carefully. If a person doesn't understand the meaning of life, what can he understand? This is a fundamental issue.
Why am I a blessed person? I understand what life is all about, so I live with passion every day! For over twenty years, I never rest, either working or serving, believing in the Lord, reading the Bible. My life is so flavorful, with so many stories! This person gets delivered, that person gets delivered, this person's life is transformed, that person's life is transformed. I live for this, I was born for this, I came into this world for this, and as a result, I have become a blessed person!
Do you want to be a blessed person? Yes, you do. But if you want to be a blessed person but don't understand the meaning of life, can you be blessed? You must understand the meaning of life to be blessed! When people come out of a vain life and enter into a blessed destiny, that is the key to solving problems.
Don't Be Believers, Be Disciples
If I live for God, will I live well by serving like this? Certainly, I will live well! So, entering into a blessed destiny is the blessing of Abraham. We enter into the blessing of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. Paying such a price, you become a disciple. Brothers and sisters, know that being a disciple of the Lord Jesus is key, not just being a believer. The Bible doesn't tell us to be believers; it tells us to be disciples.
If you examine the Bible carefully, you will see that it says to preach the Gospel to all nations, making disciples of all nations. What exactly is a disciple? After studying the Bible carefully, I found that a disciple is a Christian who pays the price. Paying the price means being serious. Being serious is what makes a true disciple. A Christian is a disciple, and a disciple is a Christian. Don't just say you are a Christian but don't pay the price. If asked why you live, you say you live for eating, drinking, and having fun. How can you be a disciple? If you live for work, how can you be a disciple? You cannot be a disciple. How can you be blessed then? You cannot be a disciple. How can you fight and be victorious then? If you don't fight and be victorious, how can you become a victorious disciple? So today, when we connect these things, it becomes easier to understand.
How can you be blessed without victory, is that right? This is why Christians must be victorious disciples. What did Jesus say? You must give up everything to follow me and be my disciple. If you love anything more than you love the Lord Jesus, if you are unwilling to place those things before the Lord Jesus, unwilling to entrust them to Him, you are not worthy to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus.
The meaning of disciple is profound, so today, we must be disciples. Why must we be disciples? Because we have seen through the essence of a person's life, so we are Christians in this way, which is difficult for people in the world to understand.
What kind of character and nature does a victorious disciple need? A victorious disciple must build his character according to the Word of God. Where does a victorious disciple begin? It begins with preaching the Word of God, healing and deliverance, striking the demonic forces of darkness, being strong and courageous, and never retreating. This is called the character and nature of a victorious disciple.
In fact, a Christian's life is definitely not smooth sailing, because as a Christian, today you are against the most powerful enemy in the world, which is the devil Satan.
