I. Introduction:
Good day to everyone! Today, I will be addressing a very impactful topic, truly a shocking one, titled If You Do Not Obey the Voice of the Lord Your God. If you do not heed the voice of the Lord your God, the consequences are, as one might expect, quite dire. You might say: I am unaware. Well then, observe the curses in your life, and you will know, is it not so? The testimonies of curses I have witnessed far outnumber those of blessings, and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. Precisely because of this, many Christians find themselves in a state of profound confusion.
You must know, I am not one to sit idly by, simply observing matters within the church and thinking: Ah, that is how it is. Do any of you have such a habit? I do not. That is how it is – what does that even mean? What is this how it is? I dislike following the crowd blindly; I prefer to scrutinise the Scriptures. Are there any among us today who meticulously study the Bible? If so, I congratulate you, for you will certainly experience God's immense grace and blessings. Do you understand? How can one know which words are from God and which are not if they do not even have the time to read His word? Because I carefully read the Scriptures, I can discern, in light of the Bible, which sermons preached from the pulpit align with Scripture and which do not.
I tell you, I have heard my share of nonsensical sermons! Even within our Chinese Mingding Destiny framework, with about a year of training, when you listen to those individuals, regardless of how renowned they may be as pastors, you will know immediately that it is not the word of God; it is simply unlistenable. Many things are not based on the Bible, and is this not ultimately destructive?
But I share with you, even as an ordinary believer, sitting and listening to their sermons, I could discern what was not from God. However, I did not wish to disrupt; I have no desire to create disorder. Why are you not speaking in accordance with the Scriptures? If the message aligns with the Bible, I shall listen attentively and apply it diligently. If it does not, I shall remain silent. Why? Because speaking out would create chaos. Do you know what kind of ridiculous things pastors say from the pulpit? They claim: When praying for someone for healing, deliverance, or casting out demons, do not lay hands on them, for the demons will transfer to you. Is this found in the Bible? No, it is utter nonsense. Understand that many people hold unscriptural beliefs, and I am deeply saddened by this.
From a young age, I have been a person of strong character. I fervently hope that my brothers and sisters might possess this same blessed disposition, approaching the word of God with fear and trembling. Is this not right? I deeply honour the classics. To what extent do I honour them? Let me illustrate: As a Christian, the Bible is my classic, and I study it profoundly. If you frequently listen to my exegesis of the Scriptures, you will find that this fellow has read deeply and delved profoundly. Some individuals are not like this. Today we must acknowledge, if I were a Buddhist, the Buddhist scriptures would undoubtedly be my classics; if I were a communist, I would strictly adhere to the communist party's requirements, for these are the classics.
That is my point, but indeed, the people I encounter, Christians who are not like Christians, Buddhists who are not like Buddhists, are ubiquitous. I am filled with lament! Some come to me saying, Look at this, look at that. And I ask, What are you? They reply, A Buddhist. I say, Recite a passage from the Buddhist scriptures for me. They cannot. Alas, lamentable! Today, we shall not dwell on this. I simply encourage everyone to be outstanding in whatever you do. Be an outstanding accountant; be an outstanding lawyer; be an outstanding government official.
Thus, the title of my sermon today is If You Do Not Obey the Voice of the Lord Your God. I have omitted the latter part, but it is implicitly understood. I hope this truth will remain ever on your lips, though it is frightening and not exactly pleasing to the ear. If it frightens you, I apologise, but perhaps you should be frightened. You have lived without reverence for too long. You should approach the word of God with trembling and fear. Why? Curse! Falling into the curse is no trifling matter.
I tell you, in this generation, the curse will not be absent; nothing will be missed as it befalls those who are cursed, those who do not heed the voice of the Lord your God. Nothing will be missed; just wait and see! As we used to say in our childhood: Just you wait! Let us wait and see. Man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Not only the words of blessing, but also the words of the curse. Many Christians tell me: There is no curse in the New Testament. Foolish! Have you heard this before? There is no curse in the New Testament. Who said so? They have not read the Bible properly. I can tell they did not do well in primary school.
Man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God, blessings and curses alike. I often have fear and trembling for myself. Do you know? As soon as something happens, I quickly examine myself, to minimize suffering. One year, I contracted COVID-19, and I tell you, I nearly died. I was busy examining myself. I feared that something was amiss and that I needed to know about it. Some said, Look, pastor, how did you contract COVID-19? I replied, I am an example of the curse, but as soon as I find myself living under a curse, I quickly realise and return to heeding the word of God. Is that not so? Unlike some others, who simply say: Ah, that is how it is!
Do not assume that becoming a Christian guarantees blessing. No. Christians are cursed more than they are blessed. Is that not so? Just because you go to church and feel good does not mean everything is alright. I urge those who feel good about being Christian, seeing it all as grace, feeling that we now live in an age of grace, to understand that grace does not override disobedience to the word of God. There are many who build churches according to their own understanding, only to build themselves into a place of curse. So today, my brothers and sisters, I remind you again, I often tremble for myself, and I often tremble for my brothers and sisters. I tremble! God, have mercy.
Not long ago, this brother indulged in the desires of the flesh, so we ministered to him. He had continual bleeding and periodic kidney stones. Oh, the pain! The pain of kidney stones is especially terrible. Recently, his kidney stones flared up again, and the brothers and pastors among us ministered to him. What was the result? He felt little pain, and he passed a large stone. The photograph of that stone still exists, but the man is no more. When I saw the photograph, I thought, This stone looks like the Tesla logo. Such kidney stones are very sharp. Oh, my goodness! It's terrifying. The photograph remains, but the man is gone. Bleeding, fainting, kidney stones, high blood pressure... Is that not enough curse? Yet he continued to indulge in the desires of the flesh and forgot everything as soon as he felt better, continuing on his own path. I can only say: Good luck to you!
But I am not saying this to him; I am saying it to you. If he hears it, then he hears it. But if we hear it, I tell you, you must know that curses of this kind are everywhere. But pastors often fabricate lies, appeasing people and deceiving church members, saying: That is a blessing in disguise! Let me give you an example, I jokingly like to say, If cancer is a blessing, would you like a little piece of that blessing? To which they respond: Ah, no, no, no. Not that. I respond, Then why tell others that? What kind of mind is that? Even a robot has more sense! Today, whether it is pain, if God heals you, do not forget. If you encounter disaster, if God delivers you from disaster, do not forget. If you contract an illness, if God heals you, do not forget. If you contract a severe illness, if God heals you, do not forget.
The topic I am addressing today is incredibly sobering! When I first became a Christian, I liked to attend funerals at church, precisely because they were sobering occasions. Standing beside the coffin, I would repeat my own name, saying: Do not forget God's grace. You must heed the voice of the Lord your God! This was shortly after I became a believer, still familiarising myself with people at the church. Then the English-speaking pastor at our church died in a car accident. The accident was not caused by someone hitting him; he drove his car right into the sweeper truck out watering the grass on the side of the road. A sports car ran right under and he died.
Standing beside the coffin, as I knew him well and understood his shortcomings, I would say my own name saying, You must not love this world; you must instead learn to love God, with all your heart, soul, and strength! Before long, there was another car accident and a man died, so again I attended a funerl. Through the glass, I saw his face, stitched up with thread. Frightening, so frightening! Disgusting to look at. So again, I repeated my own name. You might ask: Why do you not say his name? Uttering his name would not help, as he would not come back to life.
There used to be a pastor I knew who poached us a Christian couple over to his church. Before long, he developed severe depression. Building a church and putting yourself in a deep state of depression, what kind of curse is that? There's so much to say! Really, a lot. At the church I use to go to, one person would have cancer, and then another not long after. The pastor was extremely tired from running to the hospital and saying, This is God's way of giving you the blessing in disquise. So when I see things like this, what comes to my mind is the Book of Deuteronomy, which puts everything listed previously in the curse section, not the blessing section. Blessings do not have this. What's the point of this sermon? I just want all you folks to be reminded about what it means to have reverance for God.& # x20;
Just recently a pastor came to me asking me to help with building his church's website. I said, Can't your members help? He told me they wouldn't. You want me help you with that, what kind of example is that setting? Pastors who cater to the flesh tend to create a group of Christians that also cater to the flesh. That isn't God's Word. It isn't. So I keep thinking to myself, If I'm going to be the pastor, how can I create a church community? I want to train you all to not be lazy, to not be stupid, to not cater to the flesh, and so that you all have the likeness of God so that you can show off His glory.
Think about if you the church members were lazy and stupid. How are they going to minister? I'm pushing you all to grow not because your growth is that important, but because you can't serve if you never grow? You can't love God if you never grow? That's why you all need to start working really hard at growing up now so that one day you can be used by God to minister over his flock. Don't try to imitate those people who are lazy and cater to the flesh by ministering to a group of fleshly weasels. They can't. Just a church full of wessels who are working to grab more money. To be honest though, those weasels know how to hunt! So please listen to me everyone. How are you going to improve your life when you are eating and drinking and having fun all the time? Where is the joy when you have kidney stones that make you just want to scream. I'll tell you what's going to happen. You're just going to end up with more curses in your life until you die. Because of all this, I've invented a series of sieves to filter out all the trash so that I can establish a holy church.
Some pastors come to me and ask, Pastor Liu, do you have this kind of problem at your church? I say no, we do not. They ask, Do you have those problems? I say no, we do not. Now here's the deal, even though our church still had a lot of growing to do back then, it was still better than the average church. You know why? Because back then, everyone participated in fasting and prayer. I'm not joking. When our fasts were in person, everyone attended, and all our public holidays in Singapore were used to fast and pray. Were we going out to have fun? We didn't have time. I'm telling you that there just aren't a lot of pastors who can do what I did.
All these pastors would ask me if my church had this or that problem, and I would always say no. There weren't any turf wars or drama inside the church. The only thing there was, was the sick being healed. The gospel we preached was one of Jesus healing the sick and casting out demons. A lot of people asked if I ever felt like my faith was shaky during those times after having seen all the bad stuff that was happening, but there was no need to feel like that. God's Word has been established in heaven, and if the church members aren't following it, then they're gonna have a bad time, not me! I don't get confused when I see those things I mentioned earlier because I know God's Word. Being hit with a curse inside of a church is just something that happens, so I always tell people to not live their lives surrounded by curses.& # x20;
Recently I saw a pastor who thought my Bible study was pretty good, and he wanted to turn all my teaching into written text. I told him that since they're already listening to me teach, they can have a turn at trying to do it themselves. It's not like I need people to write my stuff down for me. The reason why I needed you back then was because having you all go through the Bible study again and write it all down would make you learn so much better. You were learning and studying at the same time! This pastor saw that I was getting some work done, but when he tried to pay people to write stuff down, nobody would do it in his church. I guess our church is just too good? Our members are still surprised at how I do things. How do I that? By building the magnificent church of God according to His Word. Some people say there's no way to do that, but that's what we do anyway because that's what God has said.& # x20;
Can you see the character in what I'm saying? The church that a powerful pastor like me creates is also a church that has character. What character? What do you mean when you say that something is impossible? God's Word stands in heaven, so what is impossible? God already said the way to do things in His Word, so we do it! Some people like to say that I'm building the church in a way that nobody else does. That may be the case, but because that's what God has told me to do, that's how I do it. Why? Because I just want to obey His Voice! My goal is to live for God alone, and I've been doing this for many more years that you can count. Now I have a different goal, different methods, and have no desire to live myself only working for my wife. To be with her all day, and to live in a constant state of happiness with her? No, that's not how I roll. People like to say Wife happy life happy, but they use different ways than I do. Why would I not listen to the Word of God and fill the church with problems without showing the Glory of God? I'd be a dummy if I let any of that happen.& # x20;
I once told a lot of pastors to follow the Mingding Destiny and the gospel that Paul the Apostle was preaching in the Bible. It would cause them to build a church that shined with the Glory of God. But they all tell me the samething: That's Impossible. I would start to wonder what was going through the heads of those people. Because they said what they did, what was the result? Their hands were cursed from ever working again, their bodies began to develop all sorts of sicknesses, their finances were cursed, and all sorts of things that were going to happen to them were just curses that were happening over and over and over again until they died.
Because of this, I want to give you all a comparison of the cursed and the blessed. The cursed can be found in Deuteronomy 28:15-68, but I am not going to force you to read what they are. Do you know what I said correctly? I think I've messed up a lot, so I try to fix my life to point back towards God. I think that His Words are something that I need to study and live my life by. This is what I am always trying to do so you can treat me as an example of what it looks like to repent and to take the the bad with the good when those things occur. Don't be confused by what I told you. Everything is a lesson to learn. Understand? I know that if I don't get things done, then God will show me the consequence of what happens as a result. But because I know these things, I make adjustments constantly to what happens.
Recently I took everyone here through the Book of Acts and after reading through it, you will find out that it is a different level compared to the one where i read before. That's because I grew and have new eyes that I used when I am pushing against something that I've already mentioned before. Because these visions are deeper, I try to touch God's heart and not use something that I have said from ten years ago or something I have said from 5 years ago. You wouldn't use a iPhone 4 to make calls these days would you? That thing would be so embarassing you wouldn't even want to be seen with it! iPhone 5 is no different unless it's the latest iPhone 15 you need to throw those away these days. Be a smart person and take the time to learn the blessing and curses today. As an expert, having a list of what curses will happen can help you figure out what to do to turn your life around. Then it will be like when a COVID kit sees that you tested positive with no way for that to recover. The words I say may be sometimes a heavy buredn to put in your life, but they do not say to tell what everyone else wants to hear and what His Word wants to hear. Let's start by opening the Bible and turning to the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 28, Verse 15.
II. Scripture:
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: (Deuteronomy 28:15)
III. Prayer:
God, today let us have a reverence for Your Word, let us with trembling and fear work out our salvation within us. God, may You engrave Your words on our hearts, let us place blessings and curses in our hearts, let us know You, know that You are a God who blesses and curses, and know that You are a God who brings blessings and disasters. God, today give us a reminder, let our hearts be reawakened, able to hear You, come out of the curse, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
IV. Scripture Background
This Mo
Do you all know that direct selling is very prevalent in churches? You do, right? Because churches are full of people, and when pastors gather them, the direct sellers' eyes turn red with envy. People's eyes light up at the sight of money, but dim in the face of God's Word, isn’t it? This is the state of the Israelites, the state of Christians—Christians are really something else! So, you must know that Moses prophesied that the Israelites would live under a curse. Does that shock you today? It should! Someone typed out a piece of material for me: A Christian selling health products might say, Look, I'm a Christian, would I cheat you? Some even say, Look, I'm your pastor, would I cheat you? Don't believe any of that, alright? Let's all stand together to resist these direct sellers; if anyone is doing direct selling among us, tell me, and I won't keep them here for even a minute.
So, today we must realize that there's only one reason to listen to God's Word, but there are a thousand reasons not to, isn't it so? Thousands upon thousands of reasons. Some people say, Isn't it hard to listen to God's Word? Is it hard? No, it's just one reason: the difficulty lies in unbelief. If they don’t believe, what do they believe in? They only believe in themselves. And some people say, Why is God so harsh? If He's harsh and you still don't change, how else can you change? Do you understand? If you don’t change even when He is harsh, how else can you change you? I tell you, if a person does not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, curses will surely follow you; there is no escape. What Moses said is very meaningful he said:
If thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee (Deuteronomy 28:15)
They will follow you, chasing you all day long! Where do you think you can go? Just you wait and see where you can run to, right? Some people say, Ah, it doesn't matter if I'm cursed in the city; I'll go to the countryside. If you go to the countryside, just you wait, you think you won't be cursed there? The curse will follow you; you'll be cursed in the countryside. Then they say, I'll go to the city. You'll still be cursed in the city, so it's no use. You'll be cursed when you go out and cursed when you come in; the curse will be with you until you are destroyed, until you perish quickly. You think you can hide in the sewers and no one will be able to find you? They'll find you.
And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. (Consolidated here) The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:23-25)
Impressive, isn't it? These curses are very powerful. Alas, you will become an object of horror and mockery! Isn't that right? So, brothers and sisters, today we must read carefully. I cannot explain everything in one go, but you can still understand it! If a curse comes upon you, repent quickly, do you hear? Repent quickly! Some people bring out the example of Job, invoking Job. Does invoking Job make it not so? Invoking Job is still the same; do not wait until you perish.
V. Why Do People Not Obey God's Word?
This is something I also find very surprising. I am very, very surprised. Why do people not obey God's Word? I have been thinking about it. What kind of mind is this? I feel that it is unreasonable for people not to obey God's Word. Sometimes, when I am ministering, I often get angry. Why? Because they have done something wrong, and instead of saying, Oh, I did something wrong, I tell you, people are strange, and it's not just with God's Word, but in everyday life as well. Because, as for me, I can pick out flaws in what people say, and when I hear God's Word, I say, What you're saying is not right. And then they explain to me why they didn't do it right. I say, What's the point of explaining that? Isn't it? Explaining as if not doing it right is reasonable. Not doing it right means that even if you have a thousand, ten thousand reasons, it is still not doing it right. Do you understand? They just like it that way; it's quite interesting.
A few days ago, someone was going to rent a house and went to see one. I said, Where is that house? He said, In the town. I said, What do you mean by 'in the town'? He said, It's just in the town. I couldn't understand what he was saying. Then I said, Is it inside the county town or outside the county town? What is in the town? I couldn't understand. I said, Is it in the village or in the county town? He said, Oh, it's in the county town. Is the county town called in the town? As soon as I asked, he explained and explained, why? Because the name of that place is something-something Town, but it's actually inside the county town. What I mean to say is that people always have reasons; they can always find a lot of reasons to act foolishly. People just like to find excuses.
Later, I discovered something very miraculous: these people should actually open a Reason Station—not a gas station, but a reason station. Why? Because they have a reason for everything. I said, Why don't you carefully observe and obey God's Word? He said, I'm busy! Oh, busy losing money, busy being cursed, busy waiting for disaster to strike. Right? Everything should be fine, right? I said, Yes, everything is fine today, but when something happens, it will be too late. Isn't that right? People are just like that; they live in lies. Do they know that they have not carefully observed and obeyed God's Word? Do they know that people do not listen to the voice of the Lord their God? They know everything. So, why? Because they have a set of principles inside, a set of reasoning, human logic.
You must all know that human logic is Satan's logic. Human logic, which caters to human thinking, is Satan. Can you all understand? Human logic... Look, why didn't I attend the Sunday service? Oh, I had to meet with a client. Then why didn't I take notes? Because of this and that—there's always a reason. That's why I suggested that he should open a Reason Station. Can people not obey God's Word just because they have a reason? I cannot accept that. I completely cannot accept that. People do not have a heart of reverence, and there is also something very interesting in people: It probably won't happen, right? Some people are very interesting; they say, I love God very much. I love God. I said, How do you love God? And then they stare at me blankly, living in a kind of lie. I am very surprised. They say, Look, I am making good money now. Ah, making good money is fine, but does making good money mean you don't have to listen to God's Word? Strange, isn't it? Very strange. So, why do people not obey God's Word? Because God's Word is hard to do. For example, Jesus said:
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26)
Who can do that? Do you understand? Who can do that? I tell you, there is still a large group of people among us. You say, How do you know? They don't dare to ask me; they go and ask GPT. Although I don't know who asked that, GPT will tell me that someone asked this question. You all have to know this; people are quite interesting. What kind of brains are these? The cat's out of the bag. I really don't know who asked it, really don't know; you can continue to ask. Ah, God's Word is so hard to do. I tell you, is it that hard to be blessed? Is it that easy to be cursed?
VI. This Word Is Not Hidden from You, It Is in Your Heart and in Your Mouth
After Moses wrote these words about being cursed, those about not listening to the voice of the Lord your God and those about listening to the voice of the Lord your God, he said, This word is not hidden from you; it is in your heart and in your mouth. The problem is that people do not believe, isn't it? Ah, doing this will bring blessings; is that so hard? Is doing this, which is advantageous, so hard? Right? Is being advantageous hard? Being advantageous is not hard. If being advantageous is not hard, then people feel that what is advantageous, how come it looks like a loss? If it looks like a loss, that won't do. When they see something that is advantageous, they think, How can I not take that advantage? Isn't that right? They think, I have to take this advantage! But are you really taking advantage? That is violating God's Word; that is not listening to the voice of the Lord your God. See, people have a scale in their hearts. What do people believe in?
I can tell you all that I love Deuteronomy chapter 28, verses 1 to 14. Why? Because these words are well said. Then, is it so hard to take advantage? It's not hard. So, brothers and sisters, I say that God provides for us, and you may not believe it, but God really provides for us. I just said a short weak sentence about building offering for the temple being built, and now I have to advise you all not to give any more offerings, as there are too many. I am filled with emotion, as even until today, God still provides for us, right? God provides for us, and people must have spiritual vision. Belief and unbelief are in your heart and in your mouth. So, if a person has spiritual vision, this word is not hidden from you. Is taking advantage so hard? Isn't it? But people don't believe it. Because for anyone who has left anything for the sake of Christ, there is no one who will not receive a hundredfold in this life and eternal life in the life to come.
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's. (Mark 10:29)
So, if you ask me, God is the best, God's grace is the best, God's blessings are the best. I will never walk according to human logic; I will walk according to God's Word, because God's Word is established in heaven!
VII. Sign No. 1 of a Curse: Sickness
I will briefly summarize Deuteronomy chapter 28, verses 15 to 68. Sign No. 1 of a curse is called sickness. Sickness is definitely not a good thing. So, is it a good thing when sickness comes? No, it is not good when sickness comes. Then, what should you do when sickness comes? It’s a curse, don’t even have to think about it, it’s a curse! Sometimes, I see the things that some brothers and sisters have in their minds are things that are cursed. For example, the eating of health supplements. I am not against you eating health supplements, but if you think that eating health supplements will make you healthy, then you are ruined, because many people take good care of themselves, but they cannot stop the curse from fermenting.
Today, we must understand that when sickness comes upon a person, the person must say, “Ah, I have a curse; there is still a curse on me.” Because demons won't make mistakes, and God won't make mistakes. Demons won’t make mistakes at all, they will see very accurately, very accurately. So, when a person falls sick, even including myself, the first thing I reflect on is: This is a curse. I once met a Christian who got cancer ten years ago, and today his wife got cancer again. I told him that this is a curse. He said, You are the one who has a curse. It doesn't matter, you can be sick, but you can't say that it's a curse; there is something wrong with your brain, just like that. Why? Because this passage says:
If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God; then the Lord will made thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou was afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the books of this law, them will the lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:58-61)
Do they understand, Is sickness a curse? Yes, it’s absolutely a curse!
The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. (Deut 28:22)
Do you see that? So our brothers and sisters must know that sickness is not a good thing. Some people often say: Look, Jacob had a disease. Can Jacob's sickness replace God's Word? Since Jacob had a disease, can that thorn in Paul's flesh replace God's Word? It cannot replace God's Word.
VIII. Sign No. 2 of a Curse: Finances
For example, eating, eating costs money, right? Bowl for kneading dough, eating. These finances, your bank account, your savings account, your warehouse, your storeroom, your granary are finances
So today you must know that the finances of a cursed person are definitely not blessed. If you have both sickness and financial problems, then you are ruined. I'll give you an example: one day, a sister from Taiwan came to our church, when it was still a physical church as the physical location, and she was seeking for me to pray for them. From the start when I began to pray for them, God told of her, she had been cursed because she was sick, with the financial problems. The results were that things she had invested into, went sideways not according to the standards of protocol and she was being sued financially for mismanaging the funds of others. She had been hit financially!
She was living in a building or property with her family, with the above units reconstructing the upstairs bathroom and the noises of the waste could be heard like the toilet was discharging as the sister lied on her bed. Later, I have met many pastors who were scraping by with almost nothing left with them. This again, would be a curse, I would not ever guess it any other way. Later, I ministered to her, but she did not listen. Later I understood that she was withholding tithes. Where did she offer her tithes? Actually, she did't offer them, she instead gave pocket change to the beggars. As a result, she was cursed financially. And so today sisters and brothers, if we are healthy, prosperous or not, what God is looking out for you may be blessed but if there is sickness and lack of finances, these may be things that is a sign of a curse that needs to be broken.
IX. Sign No. 3 of a Curse: The Work of Your Hands
Some people start a business and lose money. Some time ago, a sister told me that someone lost a million dollars in his project. How hard is it to make a million dollars, how easy is it to lose a million dollars. Regarding the work of your hands. I tell you that God is the God that examines people's hearts. Don't think that what you do is perfect; you are far, far, far away from being perfect. Once what I do stumbles, I tell you, I will start to wonder if there is something that is not in accordance with God's heart. So brothers and sisters, you know that in Chinese Mingding Destiny, when you are blessed, you will find that what you do is really blessed.
Recently, a sister found a position as a financial supervisor and got promoted. From a small accountant who was not very good at thinking, she is now a financial supervisor, and later she came out to be a partner in an accounting firm. How good is that, right? Very good! The work of your hands is blessed. You may not look that spiritual, and the sound of hallelujah may not be louder than some people, but it is clear at a glance whether these signs of a curse are on you or not.
X. Sign No. 4 of a Curse: Defeated at the Hands of the Enemy
You need to know if an individual or institution are competing in the sector, do you fail or are defeated at the hands of others that would lead you to serve amongst your competitors? If you often fail in competition and fall under someone else's control, and that in itself is not so bad, but you often have to serve others. Does that make sense? If a person is rich and does not willingly serve the Lord your God, God will make you serve the enemies the Lord God used to strike you down or attack you.
If you do not obey God's words, you will forever be living below everyone else, under the hands of others.
XI. Sign No. 5 of a Curse: Calamity
People often have calamities, so when I hear that someone has been hit by a car, calamity, that is a curse, definitely a curse. Ah, my heart is filled with emotion! When a person experiences these things, you need to know, oh, these are curses, this curse, that curse, what is the reason? There is only one reason, that is, not listening to the voice of the Lord your God. If a person does not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, then what are you here for? What did do that for and now are cursed instead? You need to know that this curse is prepared for Christians, not for people on the streets. Deuteronomy is written for those who believe in the Lord.
So today, brothers and sisters, if you master these things, you should have obtained a thermometer. Measure it and you will know that all the reasons are the reasons for carefully observing and obeying and not carefully observing and obeying. All the reasons are the reasons for listening and not listening. Do you understand this time? You must understand this time, so come back and listen to the voice of the Lord your God. If you do not listen, you will definitely be cursed. Don't think that you can say, Pastor, pray for me, bless me. Bless you, what is the use of that? Sometimes when I hear that, it would be good if I didn’t curse you and I wish I could do nothing more. I can mock that no blessing is coming to you. There is in effect not much I can do or any use in trying to bless you but remember this, that the curse is from God and the authority to bless and curse is from Him.
XII. Summary
I want to make a summary. What is this summary? It is that once you walk down that path, it will be until you are destroyed. Everyone, read this passage carefully. It says: until you are destroyed, until you are destroyed, until you are destroyed! Have you read it? If you haven't read it, I will underline it for you. Verse 61: until you are destroyed, verse 51: until you are destroyed, verse 48: until he has destroyed thee, verse 45: until thou be destroyed, there is more in front, verse 24: until thou perish, verse 22: until thou perish, verse 20: until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly. Do you understand?
Why is this so? Does everyone know? I want to make a summary: the thing about curses is that the more cursed you are, the deeper it goes, and the more hardened people's hearts become. The more cursed people are, the deeper the curse goes, and the more hardened people's hearts are. So today, brothers and sisters, I am speaking to you, and I hope that your hearts will soften. After people have been cursed, their hearts become extremely hardened, isn't that right?
How did it become hardened? Because they still disobey God even when they are blessed, so wouldn't they disobey God even more when they are cursed? God often reminds us, reminds us again and again and again, but the result is that they still want to live in a curse. Isn't that until you are destroyed? Today, I am not speaking to those who are cursed; I am speaking to those who are blessed. If you cannot stand what you hear, then I am not speaking to you. I am speaking to those whose hearts soften after hearing it. It is normal for people to live in a curse until they are destroyed. Our God is such a God, so listen to the voice of the Lord your God. Then you say, How can I listen? I just finished talking about how to listen last time. How can I listen? People must have spiritual vision and not be deceived by the seventy or eighty years of this world. If people value living only for this life, they cannot not live in a curse. If people pursue the incomparable, eternal, and imperishable glory, I tell you, your perspective will be different. So, I really hope that brothers and sisters can value spiritual things and listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
Today, we will sing a song to prepare to receive today's offering. If you do not understand the meaning of offering, I really beg you not to give an offering. If you do not understand the meaning of offering, you will be accursed even if you give an offering; it is better not to give an offering. You say, Then I will be cursed if I don't give an offering. Then giving an offering and not giving an offering is about the same, and after you give an offering, you have less money and you are still cursed. Why bother, isn't it? So today, our brothers and sisters must begin to understand the meaning of offering. The church is not a place to accumulate wealth; the church is a place to impart blessings. So, the church hopes that you can be blessed, and I also hope that you can be blessed. Okay? We will prepare to receive today's offering and sing a song: I Only Desire to Gain You.
Is what I said today mind-awakening? Although there are fewer stories. If I tell too many stories... If I don’t persuade you to identify good and evil let no longer distinguish them and if you can ignore or neglect your sins let no longer pander with the flesh! If you are fully rebuilt that is the only purpose and for all, if you rebuilt that is your own fault, or have the feeling or have done something wrong, don’t be rigid, okay? Don't make so many excuses for yourself. If a person cannot put God first, that is extremely foolish. If a person does not know that God controls human life, that is extremely foolish. If a person thinks that fate is in your hands, you are ruined. So brothers and sisters, I often tell those among us: you are not yet qualified to give an offering, because the church does not care about that offering. What the church cares about is whether you are willing to listen to the voice of the Lord your God, whether you are willing to walk on this path of being blessed. Okay? I hope that brothers and sisters can begin to become blessed people and offer themselves completely as a living sacrifice to God. That is immeasurably good!
God has already seen your offering, okay? At this moment, lift up your hands and say, “Lord Jesus, I want to offer myself completely as a living sacrifice. From now on, I will live for You. This is the goal of my life. From now on, I will live by Your Word, no matter how impossible this word seems in people's eyes. I will walk in Your will! God, accept my offering. I have nothing, so I offer my life to You. I want to obtain what You want me to obtain. I value the incomparable and eternal glory! God, I long to enter into Your presence. I long to build Your glorious church. May You be with me and make me a vessel for imparting Your blessings, a blessing to the whole earth. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!”
Our Father in heaven, may everyone...
