Introduction

Good morning, everyone. Today, I will be sharing with you a very good topic: Be a Builder. This is the 6th lecture in the church series, which is about building the church. This time, we will talk about being a builder. Let's not rush to say what to build, but first talk about being a builder. We imagine that those who build the church are: hiding in secret rooms, putting their hands together, prostrating on the ground, silently praying... thinking that this is what it means to be a builder. This image has become a very common perception today. But is this really the case? Later, we found that to be a builder of the church, one must first be a builder!

Over the past few days, I have been trying to solve the problems of these losers. A loser is someone who has never accomplished anything in their life, maybe they have lived to be in their twenties, thirties, forties, fifties... but they have never accomplished anything in their life. I tell you: it is quite difficult to minister to such people, because to minister to them and transform them is my challenge. That is why I am talking about this topic.

Before I talk about this topic, I want to share a little conversation with you. Yesterday, I told my co-workers that I was going to talk about being a builder, and everyone thought the topic was good. I said: I have loved learning since I was a child, and I enjoy learning. They asked: When you were learning as a child, weren't you uncomfortable? Who wouldn't be uncomfortable? There is no effort that is not tiring, all will be tiring. But you ask me why this is the case? I don't know, I just love learning and enjoy learning. Later, when I started working, I also loved working and enjoyed working. How great it is to be such a person!

A co-worker said: Teacher, you shouldn't say that. You should say that when you were a child, you were a loser who couldn't accomplish anything, but later you made a comeback! After saying this, many losers will be edified. Many of us do not enjoy doing things. If you say that you have enjoyed doing things since you were a child and then accomplished things, everyone will be even more desperate. I thought about this and realized it made sense. But in fact, I am not the kind of person who made a loser comeback.

Later, I understood that I am not here to tell a story of a loser comeback, but I am here to tell that I am the one who enables losers to make a comeback! There are so many such stories among us! In the process of building the church, I like to do very specific and concrete work, to what extent? Training someone for a job interview, training someone to improve their work skills, even helping them revise their resume, finding them a job, there are so many things like this. I found that I am not a person who made a loser comeback, I am the one who enables losers to make a comeback! I really enjoy it!

Why did I mention this? Because yesterday I arranged a time for pastoral case analysis. But before doing this, I felt like I was lacking oxygen, like there was no sugar in my blood, I was lying there about to fall asleep, so I quickly notified them that this training was cancelled.

After getting up, I said that I am really tired, almost exhausted. Many people will think that this is not enjoyable? Many people think that being tired is not enjoyable, and doing what I do until I collapse will kill me. But I found that people who died earlier than me were not as diligent as I am. If they were as diligent as I am, they wouldn't have died.

Later, I found that lazy people are prone to illness. Fortunately, I am so diligent, diligent to the point of exerting all my strength to do the Lord's work. What does it mean to exert all your strength? To do it until you have no strength left, isn't that exerting all your strength? If I can do ten, I will never be lazy and do five; if I can do twelve, I will never be lazy and do ten; if I can do twelve, I wish I could push it to fifteen or twenty. This is my personality, I wish I could impart my personality to everyone, so that everyone can enjoy working, because working is originally a grace!

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him, otherwise life would be so boring! I am a person who doesn't like eating, drinking, or having fun. I only have one hobby, which is to love working and love serving. If people don't enjoy working and only enjoy eating, drinking, and having fun, then aren't all the diseases eaten? At my age, there are really not many people who are healthier than me.

I get up early and work late every day, doing all kinds of work. Some pastors feel desperate after hearing my story. Actually, there is nothing to be desperate about, it's just a choice. Where are they desperate? They can't preach better than me, they can't study the Bible better than me, they can't write programs better than me, they do websites in a confused way, they can't do carpentry or renovation better than me. Look at how many things I have done, and at the same time I can edify people.

I used to think that doing these things would affect my building the church, that I should kneel there and pray and preach to build the church. But later I realized that doing these things is actually an assistance to building the church. So today I want to tell everyone: Do you want to enjoy it? If you don't want to enjoy it, then you will be uncomfortable.

Do you want to be a person who enjoys or a person who is uncomfortable? If you want to enjoy, then be a person like me. Enjoy studying when you study, enjoy working when you work, enjoy managing when you manage, enjoy being an engineer when you are an engineer, enjoy being a pastor when you are a pastor, enjoy being a group leader when you are a group leader, what could be better than this?

It turns out that people need such habits very much. Don't say, I am not you. I encourage everyone, if you get close to me, it will be difficult for you not to be transformed! It doesn't matter if you are a loser, but here is someone who enables losers to make a comeback. I am like a smart foreman, managing everything in my hands in an orderly manner. I really enjoy the things I build in my hands, and they are really great. After finishing, looking at the things I made are very great, I really enjoy it.

Today, a brother is renovating his home, and I did a lot of the work, plumbing, electrical boxes, running wires… I did it all. Then his cousin, with her mother and husband and children, came and he treated them to dinner, and took them all to see his new house. The whole family was surprised there, saying in Jiangsu dialect: It's so great! It's so great! After hearing this, I really felt more comfortable than eating a full course of Manchu Han Imperial Feast. Did this kind of situation delay my service? No, it didn't. Because in doing these things, I myself became a builder.

I have a nephew who does renovation. He said to me: Uncle, the houses you renovate now are better than the ones I renovate. Why should people do this? Because God wants to make me, wants to make many people become builders, this is my work.

There was a child who felt desperate after graduating from sixth grade. Her mother brought the child to me, not knowing what to do. I have been doing education all my life, and I am fascinated by education. I have never had the opportunity to be a teacher. Later, after I became a high-level manager, I finally had the opportunity to say to my boss: Can I teach a class? Later, while doing my own work, I also taught a class. I am really fascinated by education. This mother and daughter really knew what was good and knew that I was a builder, so the mother and daughter made a decision and told me: Teacher, I will follow you to learn! I said: That's no problem, just follow me to learn!

This child is 16 years old this year. She found a job last year, but it was not legal to work at the age of 15. It is legal to work at the age of 16 this year. From the age of 12 to 16, I was in charge of her for these four years. My co-workers and I took her to learn while doing and do while learning, and have been growing up to this day.

As a result, she recently told me that she can legally work and has already got a job, earning four to five thousand yuan a month. I said: I promise you, I am not pushing you out, I am letting you go to the market to get some exercise, and after you are done, come back to me. If you earn ten thousand outside, you can earn eleven thousand here. If you earn twenty thousand outside, you can earn twenty-two thousand here, or even twenty-four thousand. The question is, are you a builder?

I wish that after she is built up, she can follow my path, and then enjoy learning, enjoy working, enjoy doing pastoral care, and enjoy being a builder. I feel even more refreshed after hearing such things than eating a full course of Manchu Han Imperial Feast. I said: You will buy me a car in the future. She said: That's no problem. You might say that I am so greedy, but actually I am not. I want her to be a person who gives, of course this is a joke.

There is also a sister who came among us a few years ago, with a monthly salary of two to three thousand. Her younger brother had cancer, and she was living a hard life because of her younger brother. She was about forty years old, and she was still getting the salary of a recent college graduate. How could she live? She had a lot of loser mentality in her bones. It was very annoying to watch her do things, because she didn't know how to do things. She hadn't known how to do things for so many years, not because she didn't work hard. She worked very hard, but she still didn't know how to do things. Later, I learned that she was still preaching in her local church! That is really a group of pure losers, a loser pastor leading loser brothers and sisters!

But brothers and sisters, today you have come to our church. I am not a loser, I am the one who enables losers to make a comeback, so don't worry, don't lose hope. I am telling these stories today to let you know that you have hope. The church I am building is a church that transforms people.

This sister is a lawyer. It is really nonsense that a lawyer only earns two to three thousand yuan a month, but we have really worked hard among us. I personally participated in her pastoral care and future development planning. Later, her salary quickly rose to seven thousand yuan, then to more than ten thousand yuan. Later, she started her own business.

You should know that losers like this have no faith. Then we removed her fears, worries, and concerns one by one. We can change because God is working with us. Now she is self-reliant and has returned to her original law firm. People treat her as talent, with great respect. Once a person has a sense of respect, it is really good.

I really wish that our brothers and sisters can restore God's noble and glorious image. Don't worry, I am a person who works with God. I work with God, and God also works with me. This is God's good will.

There is also a sister who came among us. Her prayers were very good, but when I asked, I learned that she had not worked for ten years. She had been staying at home. In the video, I saw that her house was leaking rain. That was not a house, it was a small broken shed. Although it was in Shanghai, she lived in a small broken shed. My heart ached. But thank the Lord, her pastor was also a loser who made a comeback. Her pastor took her to make a comeback as well. She had not worked for ten years, staying at home to take care of her children, living a poor life. Her pastor did a lot of work to train her from scratch.

Our church is a place that builds people. I am telling these stories not to let you compare with me, but to let you become a loser who makes a comeback. Such a sister later went to work, from three thousand yuan at the beginning, to four thousand yuan, to five thousand yuan, and now eight thousand yuan a month. She no longer needs to live in a small shed.

Their whole family, she and her sister, are full of loser ideas, hoping to marry someone. They think it is an astronomical figure for their husbands to earn ten or eight thousand yuan a month outside. But now she also goes out to work and becomes a valuable person to society.

I wish that our brothers and sisters can not only be built up, but also be able to walk the road of construction with me, and be a smart foreman like me. Building a church is not building a place to spread the Novel Coronavirus. Building a church is not a place where a group of people sing hymns and wave fans in the church. Building a church is to build people up, to make them a group of talents who are edifying to this society, to become the assets of this society, to live out the dignity of human beings, and to live out God's glorious image.

This is what we are building. I really thank the Lord that God remembers the labor I have devoted to Him. I have personally witnessed how God works with me. If you listen to my sermons, and then listen to other people's sermons, you will feel uncomfortable and strenuous. I sometimes tell some pastors: Don't let your church members come to our place to study, otherwise they won't leave. Many of the things that the church does are empty, but all the things I do here are super specific and practical. It is difficult for people among us to not be financially blessed.

I have done these years, I really thank the Lord, God remembers me, is always with me, so that those who are controlled by the devil are released, and those who are oppressed are set free. Financial turnaround, health turnaround, the whole person lives a new life, showing God's glory, that's so good. I tell everyone, it's not that after we serve you, you think it's good and constantly thank us: Thank you teacher, thank you for your team, you have worked hard!

We don't need everyone's thanks. I need to thank you for your willingness to choose to be a builder. I thank God for making you a person who is willing to build a glorious church with us. If you are willing to be a builder, not only will you experience the turnaround in the past, become a comeback person, and become a good testimony, but you will also enable people who were like you in the past to make a comeback like you, to be edified and become a noble person.

I encourage our brothers and sisters, you may not have made a comeback yet, but can you make a dream for yourself in your mind, portray a vision: In the future, I will be such a person, become a builder. Not only build houses, but also show God's glory, so that people can be edified, this is such a wonderful thing.

If you are among us, but you don't want to be a builder, or you feel that you want to go back to your original church, then don't continue to listen to me. If you continue to listen, you will not be able to go on. Of course, I wish there were many, thousands of, like our Chinese Mingding Destiny theology, doing these very specific, very practical, and edifying things, transforming these people into the image of God. In fact, the church is doing these things. So, brothers and sisters, don't be desperate, don't worry. Although I have been telling introduction stories for more than twenty minutes, and have not yet officially started preaching, there will be more stories to come.

Scripture

According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:10-17)

Prayer

God, may you remember us and be gracious to us; Lord, may you work with us, so that we can build your temple in the days on this earth, build the temple of Jesus Christ, so that your glory will always dwell among us. God, do wonderful things among us today, let every brother and sister among us rise up and become a builder, not only building their own career, their own family, but also building your temple, which is a more important choice.

Let us build in your presence, Lord, according to your will, may you be able to use fire to appear, so that our work can remain, so that when we are tested, we can stand before you, and look forward to receiving the rewards that you have predestined for us, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Scripture Background

Paul worked in Corinth for a year and a half. A person works for thirty years in his life, and a year and a half is a large proportion. Paul spent a year and a half building the church in Corinth, but he ministered to a group of carnal Christians. Paul kept feeding them spiritual milk, but they did not grow up and could not eat solid food or absorb the truth. Why is this so? I don't know if it's Paul's fault or the Corinthians' fault.

This group of people is very narrow-minded and selfish. Paul never took a needle from them when he built the church, nor did he take advantage of them. He never took their offerings. Because of this, the Corinthians developed a lot of bad habits and became a group of selfish people who never paid the price. Later, the people in the Corinthian church, they were not eating the Lord's Supper, they were eating a big meal. What were they eating? Everyone knew that they were going to celebrate the Lord's Supper today, so they said to each other, Don't eat anything, you can eat your fill at the Lord's Supper. They saw the Lord's Supper as a buffet, constantly gobbling it up, without any propriety.

A group of carnal Christians is like this. Even if they work, can they do anything? They are all doing superficial work. Do they pray? Yes, they pray. Do they have the Lord's Supper? Yes, they have the Lord's Supper. Do they have truth? No, not much truth. Have they paid a price? No, they haven't paid much of a price. Even to a certain extent, Paul asked them to learn to give to the church in Jerusalem, because the church in Jerusalem was made very poor by James. Paul encouraged the Gentile churches to give money to the church in Jerusalem, but Paul still had to constantly persuade those in the Corinthian church to give.

Thank God, our church is not like the church in Corinth, otherwise I would have to write 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians. The church I built before was like the church in Corinth, making a group of selfish people, a group of people who indulge in the flesh, and a group of people who are divided. When such a group of people came, the people in the Corinthian church were deceived. Paul wrote 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, and there was also a letter in between that was not included in the Bible, which was to solve the problem of the Corinthian church.

There are many people like the Corinthian church who do not work, and only talk nonsense. Can they be builders? When Paul talked about chapter 3 of 1 Corinthians, he said that you are the temple, we are working with God, like a smart foreman, laying a foundation and building on it. Is the thing being built okay? A fire burned it all, and it couldn't withstand the test. At the beginning of chapter 3, Paul said that they were carnal, from the leaders to the brothers and sisters, they were a group of carnal people.

Later, Paul re-governed the Corinthian church, and some of the Corinthian church repented, but it was not very good after all. Later, there was no more mention of what happened to the Corinthian church. We don't know what happened, but 2 Corinthians mentioned that some people in the Corinthian church repented.

If the brothers and sisters in the church do not do practical things, and only talk nonsense, they will not be able to pull anything out. You must read the Bible carefully, and you will find that the great figures in the Bible are all builders.

Great Figures in the Bible Were All Builders

Today, as we discuss becoming a builder, we must examine whether the Bible supports this idea. If it does, then we must accept it. Let's first look at Jesus. Thank God, Jesus was not a scribe or a Pharisee, nor was He simply a preacher or one who prayed. Jesus was the son of a carpenter, working alongside His father, Joseph. It's important to remember that carpenters of the past—like Lu Ban, whom we all know—didn't just make tables and benches. They built houses. The Forbidden City in Beijing, for example, is a masterpiece of carpentry.

Jesus was a carpenter, a builder of houses. During His time as a carpenter, He observed and understood a series of principles. This led to a parable about building a house on sand versus building it on rock. Decorating houses and building the church are intrinsically linked, as the underlying logic is essentially the same. Both building houses and doing renovations are systematic projects. You can't just do whatever you want; there are rules to follow. Building a church is the same.

Thank God, God incarnate came into the world as a carpenter. I myself have a great passion for renovation. Although it leaves everything covered in dust, I work quickly and enjoy it. Jesus was a builder; He deeply understood what building a church entails because the logic behind building houses, developing people, and building teams is interconnected. Some people go through life without accomplishing anything, remaining merely ordinary. Such individuals cannot be the builders of a church.

Pastors listening to my sermons online, ask yourselves, are you builders? Some might not even know what a drill is. Can such people build a church well? Some might disagree, citing the Apostle Paul. But remember, Paul was a tentmaker, skilled with his hands. Both houses and tents provide shelter for people. A tent, though small, has all the necessary elements. A house or tent must address the basic needs of eating, drinking, and sanitation. Paul's experience in tentmaking provided him with valuable skills that greatly assisted him in building the church.

I used to worry whether doing this or that would hinder the building of the church. Later, I understood! Peter, who lived by prayer and preaching, didn't build a very successful church. People sold their properties, donated everything, and came to eat and drink together, only to have it all ruined by the church! God then allowed persecution to come upon the church in Jerusalem. Don't think this was the work of the devil; God was in control. After the persecution, the people scattered. The subsequent church in Jerusalem became unremarkable because its method of building was flawed; it was merely a church for eating and drinking. Paul later said, For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Although Jesus and Paul lived two thousand years ago, we must still strive to be builders today. Another hobby of mine is writing programs. If you mess around with the code, it will become increasingly chaotic. So, any program code I manage or write, I scrutinize closely and manage strictly. Similarly, if you mess around with building a church, it will become increasingly chaotic.

Our church is the same. I manage it in great detail because managing, like a wise foreman, ensures things don't fall into disarray. I often tell my colleagues, Don't do it that way, or you'll become like so-and-so pastor! The work I do is always precise and orderly. Not only do I accomplish the tasks, but I also do them well and find them satisfying.

Jesus and Paul were both hard workers. We must not think Jesus was just a preacher, a healer, or an exorcist. Jesus was a carpenter by trade. He didn't live idly at home until age thirty, nor was He an underachiever. Nehemiah in the Bible was a builder of walls and a restorer of the temple. He was a high-ranking official, very effective in his work, capable of managing both people and affairs. The wall had been desolate for a long time, but Nehemiah completed it in fifty-two days. It's hard to tell if it was the equivalent of finishing a long-term project in fifty-two days, or stretching fifty-two days’ workload for that long.

How can someone who works slowly and inefficiently be a builder? If you don't grasp the essence of what you're doing, you can't be fast. If we plaster a wall slowly, we’ll surely end up with a bumpy wall. Nehemiah arrived in Jerusalem and restored the wall in fifty-two days, while many others might not even have finished drawing the plans in that time.

From a young age, I loved learning and working. The drawings and lines I created by hand were clear and beautiful, and the logic was very clear. If you want to be a builder, you must continuously grow and do practical work in the church. This way, our internal logic will be refined to be clean and clear.

Nehemiah restored the temple built by David and Solomon, a magnificent structure. Solomon loved building. He spent seven years building the temple and thirteen years building his palace, a massive undertaking. Deng Xiaoping was the chief architect of China's reform and opening up, a builder of the nation, and extremely capable. Therefore, intelligent people love to build, and builders are invariably intelligent people.

If you visit our renovation site, you'll feel there's a lot of work to be done. My colleagues joke, No big deal, how much work could there be? Because they’re imitating my catchphrase. Indeed, if you grasp the underlying principles and work efficiently, there's not much actual work to do.

David and Solomon were builders of the temple and palaces. They clearly understood how to place each brick and how to handle each part. It's a problem if someone is confused. For example, many people are puzzled when they see the assignment for the 102 course on the Theology of Healing and Deliverance, thinking it's too difficult. Those who feel this way haven't grasped the essence. Those who can grasp the essence won't find it difficult.

Jesus, Paul, David, Solomon, and Nehemiah were also builders. If you say those were great figures and we can't do anything so great, that's not true. We can all become such people if we are willing, and God loves such people. Earlier, I shared many stories of ordinary people achieving success. These individuals have now embarked on the path of becoming builders.

Moses lived three thousand five hundred years ago, David and Solomon lived three thousand years ago, Nehemiah lived two thousand five hundred years ago, and Jesus and Paul lived two thousand years ago. It takes about five hundred years for one or two builders to emerge. Would you like to become like them? If you choose to be like them, you will enjoy everything you do. If you don't, everything will be difficult.

We can choose to be someone who enjoys or someone who suffers. If you choose to suffer, everything will be difficult, including working, studying, and doing chores. The only time you won't suffer is when you're watching TV or chatting idly. Such people are like the Corinthians. If you want to be an underachiever, a carnal Christian, then be a Corinthian and call yourself Little Corinthian. We must not become Little Corinthians. Instead, we should become builders, for being a builder is an exceedingly good thing. The people recorded in the Bible enjoyed what they did and were happy to make sacrifices. We should emulate them and become builders.

We All Need to Be Builders

Why does becoming a builder make you smarter? Because before you can become a builder, you must managing people and things. If you manage people and things well, you will definitely become smarter. For example, to manage people, you must figure out how to get them to work willingly. Upon hearing this, some may ask: So you were just manipulating us? You manage us so well just to make us work? That's not the intention. When I manage people, I manage them effectively. The question is, why should they work for me? There needs to be a fair principle.

Years ago, I was promoted from engineer to manager. As a manager, I had dozens of people under me, and I needed to manage them. But managing people is not easy. Why should they listen to me? We were all colleagues before, but only I got promoted. I borrowed many books on management from the library. Some were well-written, some were not. After reading them, I was still troubled and didn't understand what management was. I liked solving technical problems; I didn't like managing people, and managing people well is very difficult.

Managing employees is easier than managing a church because I was the boss. I had the power to decide whether employees' salaries would increase, so I had the authority to manage them. It's not like that in a church. You don't pay the members in the church, so how do you manage them? Actually, to manage people, you need to do ideological work. If you get the ideology right, nothing is impossible.

If you want to be a builder, a wise foreman, you need to build a good team and do things well. To manage people, you need to assign them tasks. To manage things, you need to plan their development. I often tell my colleagues: What do you want to do? What do you want to achieve? Do you understand? If you don't understand, you need to figure out what the end result should be. Managing things involves: what to do, how to do it, to what extent to do it, why do I want to do it, and who will do it. This is management.

There was a sister who had only saved a few thousand dollars after working for twelve years. Why did this sister turn out like this? The financial situation is actually a very important spiritual marker of a person. Although she believed in the Lord, her pastor was not a builder. Recently, because of our ministry, this sister has changed a lot, and God has blessed her. Her current salary is two and a half times her previous salary. For example, her monthly expenses are now half a times more than before, so she still has one times her previous salary left over each month. This is called building people. To become a builder, start with practical matters.

If you are currently an underachieving member, following an underachieving pastor, in an underachieving church, having never accomplished anything, just knowing how to pray and preach every day, then it's really fatal. Our church is a church that transforms underachievers. It doesn't matter if you are an underachiever, because there are many people here who have achieved success from underachieving. If you have already been transformed, I encourage you to make an even smarter choice today and also start to transform underachievers.

Today, I encourage everyone, no matter who you are, to start becoming a practical person, a builder. Only those who are builders can build a church. Those who are not builders cannot build a church, because they cannot give blessings, cannot break the carnality of the members, and cannot break their bad habits.

When we become builders, we can manage people and things; we can edify people and then accomplish things. We will write plans in a regular and orderly manner; we will draw design drawings clearly and understandably; if we pastor a person, we will know what problems they have and what they can do.

The church is a place that edifies and perfects people, a place that enables people to live out God's glorious and noble image. The church is not a place to spread COVID-19. I don't like a bunch of people messing around there. I like individual people being edified. Sometimes I lament how so many people have been delayed. Why have they been delayed? Because there is a lack of builders. Not being able to manage people and things well leads to control. Control for a certain period of time leads to people rebelling.

Today, we all need to be builders. You may not have been transformed yet, but you can start painting a beautiful picture for yourself in your mind, in your vision, in your dreams: I will become a builder in the future. I will not only be able to do things well, but I will also be able to manage people well. I will also be able to work with God to build God's church.

I often encounter some underachievers in our midst who have not yet been transformed. After arranging goods in the supermarket, they are so tired and sore when they get home that they cannot understand how they can enjoy working. I also get tired when I work. After fixing water pipes and wires, my back aches, but it doesn't matter; I have joy in my heart because I see things being accomplished. So I encourage everyone to start enjoying the work of your hands.

If you decide to be a builder today, God will surely fulfill your dream, and God will surely fulfill the desires of your heart. Moreover, God originally intended to raise us up to serve our brothers and sisters. After our brothers and sisters are raised up, they will also be people who serve others. This is the church, this is the body of Jesus Christ, used to manifest God's glory.

Whether you are twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, or whatever age, if you have never accomplished anything in your life, today I draw a beautiful future for you. You must start to be a builder in a down-to-earth manner, starting with building yourself. We will do our best to partner with you, to turn you around from this underachieving state, so that you can accomplish things. This is God's image, this is God's salvation, this is God's good will in you, and God will surely fulfill this will.

Demolition and Construction

Among us, there was a brother who went out to buy a house, and I accompanied him to see the house. Actually, the house I like the most is the kind that is extremely dilapidated inside, because it doesn't matter if the house is good inside, it will be torn down by me anyway. I don't like repairing and patching on the basis of others; it's difficult to do. The best way is to demolish it all and rebuild it.

Similarly, you cannot build God's church on a wrong foundation. The church can only be built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Today, Chinese Mingding Destiny demolishes many traditions, demolishes many people's logical systems, and builds God's logical system. When we buy a house, we spend a very good price, buy a very good house, the decoration design is also very good, and it feels even better to live in.

Without demolition, how can there be construction? Demolish the old and build the new, and the reward is extremely rich. It is said that some people are very powerful, buying a broken company, demolishing it and rebuilding it, and then selling it, which is capital operation, and the return is extremely rich. Isn't it good to buy a company for one dollar and sell it for one hundred million or one billion dollars?

The return of building a church is extremely rich, but building a church must demolish our carnal bad habits. Maybe you really want to be a builder, but every time you have this thought, you feel uncomfortable. Actually, don't think that I am always so enjoying. There are two of myself in me, one is the carnal self, and the other is the spiritual self. Whenever I want to do serious things, or achieve others, or edify myself, my flesh is uncomfortable, and my spirit is joyful.

When the flesh is uncomfortable, the spirit is joyful; when the flesh is enjoying, the spirit is uncomfortable. Which one do you want to be uncomfortable and which one do you want to enjoy? I have been an enjoying person since I was a child, because it is not my flesh that enjoys, but my spirit. When my spirit enjoys, I am happy, and the enjoyment in the spirit is the real enjoyment. Some people have food, drink, and fun, but they are not happy, because after eating and drinking, the flesh is comfortable, and the spirit is uncomfortable, so what hinders our prosperity is our flesh.

What to do? We must make a choice to demolish the carnal and worldly systems within us. People are often not blessed because they are carnal. The Corinthian church at that time was very chaotic. To build, we must demolish those old systems. When we want to be a builder, our flesh will definitely be uncomfortable.

But are you following your flesh or are you putting to death your flesh by the Spirit? If you put to death your flesh by the Spirit, you are living according to the Spirit, and you will surely be edified, and you will surely become a builder. If you live according to the flesh, you will surely be corrupted and uncomfortable.

So today we must demolish the carnal system and build the divine system. Those who build the temple of God must be builders, must be people who enjoy living, and must also be spiritual people. Spiritual people will surely enjoy working with the Lord in the spirit. I enjoy working because I like to work with the Lord and strive to do more of the Lord's work. Every time I see our brothers and sisters making a little progress, my heart is filled with sweetness. Isn't this the greatest enjoyment?

Demolish whatever hinders us. Anything that is carnal and selfish makes our spirit uncomfortable, because our spirit originally likes to be close to God. When God created us, He created a spiritual law, that is, our spirit needs the Spirit of God. Once our spirit is with the Spirit of God, our spirit is joyful, so God is our joy. This is a very important concept.

Demolish the carnal and build the spiritual. When our logical system is right, you can start to implement it, and I will surely see you successfully achieve success from underachieving in the near future. From now on, be a person who enjoys in the spirit, not a person who caters to the flesh. Catering to the flesh is death, catering to the flesh attracts ghosts, and catering to the flesh is uncomfortable.

Summary: Make a Choice Between Enjoyment and Discomfort

Why do I say you should be a builder? Don't misunderstand me. I'm not asking you to work, I'm asking you to enjoy working; I'm not asking you to be uncomfortable, I'm asking you to enjoy in the spirit, and then deal with your flesh, so that our flesh can obey us. So Paul said, I do not run like one who runs aimlessly, or box like one beating the air; but I discipline my body and keep it under control, otherwise, after proclaiming to others, I myself may be disqualified. My body will be uncomfortable, but once my body obeys me, its discomfort will be gone. Why is your flesh always uncomfortable? Because it does not obey you.

So let us resolve to be builders from our minds and thoughts, emulate those great figures in history, live in God's logical system, and completely dedicate ourselves. This in itself is God's attribute, and it will bring joy. You can try it. Whenever you dedicate yourself, even if it is not very spiritual on the surface, even if it is just doing a job in the supermarket, but you use the creativity in your mind, you use your own ability, and you finish a job that you couldn't finish in an hour before in half an hour today, you will enjoy it very much.

After a while, you will finish the half-hour job in 20 minutes, saving 30% of the time. You will feel that your method is really good. Why? Because you are a builder, and your brain will become smarter!

So I encourage you to start being an enjoying person. Is it not that you are spending your whole life in discomfort, when you are an unjoyful student during learning and an unjoyful labourer at work? Start today to deal with our bad habits one by one, and by keeping our hearts in union, we work together with the brothers and sisters of church and with our pastors to slay the corrupt habits of our flesh - undoubtedly God is able to help us!

Though each is building, with what are you building? If it is with wood, hay, straw, gold, silver, and precious stones, what then comes of it? For God enjoins us to build, not in the service to money, to gold and silver and or to wood, hay, and straw, not in the service of the belly, but in building up others, build up the House of God, let the House of God be filled with God’s glory. When God’s Glory fills us - I think that will be our life’s greatest contentment, undoubtedly then will He make you a happy, satisfied person. Amen!

May God bless all!
