Case Study 1: Cain and Lamech
Read Genesis 4:
4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord . 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. 4:6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. 4:9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; 4:1
Case Study 2: The Story of Joseph (1)
• Read Genesis 37-50, the story of Joseph. Synopsis:
– Joseph was the most beloved son of his father. In his dreams, he saw his brothers and father bowing down to him, indicating that he would be more honourable than all his brothers. As a result, he was envied and mistreated by his brothers and sold into slavery in Egypt.
– Joseph served in the house of Potiphar, the captain of the guard. He was faithful in his work, and God was with him, so he prospered in everything, eventually becoming the steward of the entire household.
– Because of his fear of God, Joseph refused the seduction of his mistress and was falsely accused and imprisoned. In prison, he faithfully served, and God was with him. He became a prisoner who managed the prison on behalf of the warden.
Case Study 2: The Story of Joseph (2)
• Read Genesis 37-50, the story of Joseph.
• Synopsis:
– The cupbearer and baker of the Egyptian Pharaoh were imprisoned. Joseph interpreted their dreams, foretelling that the cupbearer would be restored. Joseph then pleaded with the cupbearer to remember him and get him out of prison. Later, the cupbearer was restored to his position, but he forgot Joseph. Joseph remained in prison for another two years.
– Pharaoh had two dreams, and his heart was troubled, and all the magicians of Egypt could not interpret them. At this time, the cupbearer remembered Joseph, so Pharaoh brought Joseph from the prison into the palace to interpret his dreams. Joseph foretold that there would be seven years of plenty and seven years of famine.
– Pharaoh promoted Joseph to be prime minister and to govern Egypt. In the years of famine, his father's family came to Egypt to seek food. Joseph recognised his brothers and father, becoming the salvation of his family and also saving Egypt and the people of the world.
Answer the following questions:
– Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers and falsely imprisoned. Why did he not fall into hurt and bitterness?
– What did Joseph value in his heart? Do you think Joseph felt that these pains and harms could determine his life? What is the key to a good life? Discuss this based on what you have learned in Lessons 1 and 2.
– Did Joseph cry out for justice, seek redress, or voice grievances for himself? Or did he choose to wait for God's work? Why was he able to endure the miserable experiences before God saved him?
– What was the outcome for Joseph? Did he attain his Mingding Destiny?
Case Study 3: The Story of David
Read 1 Samuel 16-31 and 2 Samuel 1, the story of David.
• Synopsis:
– David was the son-in-law of King Saul of Israel, and also anointed and predestined by God to be the next king of Israel.
– David was brave and good at fighting, loyal to Saul, and made great achievements.
– However, Saul was jealous of David and wanted to kill him. David was forced into exile and was hunted and fled in the wilderness for thirteen years.
– During this period, David had two opportunities to kill Saul when he was unprepared (1 Samuel 24, 26). But he did not do so because he was unwilling to kill the Lord’s anointed.
– When Saul fought against the Philistines, he was defeated and died. David was extremely sad and composed a lament to mourn for Saul and his sons.
– David treated Saul’s descendants kindly and did not uproot them for political needs.
By reading the story of David, combined with Psalms 6, 34, 37, 57, and 59, answer the following questions:
– When David was in pain, what did he do? Did he complain that God was unjust? Did he make a revenge plan? Or did he trust God and wait for God’s salvation?
– God had rejected Saul and chosen David to be king. David had the opportunity to kill Saul and escape the persecution. But why didn't he kill Saul?
– Did David eventually become king? What was the key reason he was able to become king? Could Saul’s persecution prevent David from becoming king?
– In the midst of suffering, do you think it is better to allow yourself to complain and be bitter because of the pain, or to have peace and joy in the midst of tribulation because of trusting God?
– Which is better, the ending of David or Saul? What kind of ending do you want?
Case Study 4: Understanding the Schemes of the Devil - Rick Joyner's The Final Quest
Read the following article and then make a summary: What are the schemes of the devil?
Part 1: The Armies of Hell Are Advancing
This is the beginning of the enemy's end-time army... Fear not, I also have an army. I saw an army of evil spirits, so long that there was no end in sight. It was divided into several legions, each carrying a different banner. The foremost legion advanced under the banners of pride, self-righteousness, face-saving, selfish ambition, unrighteous judgment, and jealousy. There were more legions of evil beyond my sight, but the vanguard of this terrible army of hell seemed to be the most powerful, led by the accuser of the brethren. The weapons carried by these armies all had names: the sword was called intimidation, the spear was called betrayal, and the bows and arrows were called accusation, gossip, slander, and nitpicking. There were also scouts or small units called Rejection, Bitterness, Impatience, Unforgiveness, and Lust, which were sent ahead of the army to prepare for the main attack. Although these small units and scouts were small in number, their capabilities were no less than the large legions that followed. The reason they were so few in number was purely for strategic reasons. Just as John the Baptist, though alone, was given an extraordinary anointing to baptize everyone, to prepare the way for the Lord;
This is the beginning of the enemy's end-time army... Fear not, I also have an army.
Likewise, these smaller forces of evil were given extraordinary evil abilities to baptize everyone. A single spirit of bitterness can spread its venom among thousands of people, even an entire race or culture. A spirit of lust can attach itself to an actor, a movie, or even an advertisement, and the discharge it releases is like an electric shock, causing large masses of people to be struck and lose their sharpness. All of this is to pave the way for the evil armies that follow. This army is specifically aimed at the church, but it does its best to attack everyone, with the aim of preempting because God is about to move and cause many people to flood into the church. The main task of this army is to create division in all kinds of relationships—between churches, between members, between husband and wife, between parents and children, and even between children. Scouts are sent out to find gaps in churches, families, or individuals, so that rejection, bitterness, lust, etc. can enter, and further expand these gaps, so that the following troops can flood into these gaps and completely control the victims.
The most shocking part of this vision was that this army was not riding on horses, but on the backs of Christians! Almost all of these Christians were well-dressed, looked noble and respectable on the outside; and they all seemed to be highly educated, but they also seemed to be representatives of all levels of life. These people acknowledge the truth of Christ to appease their own consciences, but their lives are identified with the powers of darkness. When they listen to and obey that power, the evil spirits assigned to control them grow and can more easily control their actions. Many of these believers have more than one evil spirit on them, and there is clearly one in charge. The nature of the evil spirit in charge determines the nature of the legion it commands. Although all the legions are advancing together, the entire army seems to be on the verge of chaos. For example, the spirit of hatred hates other evil spirits even though it hates Christians, and the spirit of jealousy is also jealous of each other. The only way the leader of this group can keep his subordinates from killing each other is to focus their hatred or jealousy on the people they are riding on.
However, these people often beat each other up. I know that this is what the Bible mentions, that some of the armies that were originally going to attack Israel ended up killing each other. When their purpose of attacking Israel is frustrated and their anger cannot be controlled, they begin to attack each other. I noticed that although evil spirits can ride on Christians, they cannot be inside them, as they are in non-Christians. Obviously, as long as they no longer identify with the evil spirits, they can get rid of the control of the evil spirits. For example, as long as a Christian who is being ridden by a spirit of jealousy begins to question the jealousy in his heart, that evil spirit will quickly weaken. When this happens, the weakened evil spirit will call for help, and the leader of the legion orders all the evil spirits around the Christian to attack him until enemies such as bitterness ride on him again. If this method does not work, the evil spirit will begin to distort the words of the Bible to rationalize bitterness, accusation, etc.
It is very obvious that the power of evil spirits is almost rooted in the power of lies, but they have deceived these Christians to the point that they are being used and still think they are being used by God! This is because almost all of them are marching in the ranks with the banner of self-righteousness, so they cannot see the banner that marks the true nature of the entire legion. When I looked into the rearmost part of this army, I saw the accuser and his cronies, and I began to understand his scheme, and I was surprised that his scheme was so simple. He knows that a house divided cannot stand, and this army represents his attempt to divide the church and completely fall from grace. Obviously, he only has one way to achieve his goal, and that is to use Christians to attack their own brothers, which is why almost all of the legions in front are Christians, or at least claim to be Christians. Whenever a deceived believer obeys the accuser of the brethren, his control over them becomes stronger, which makes him and the confidence of those leaders increase as the army advances. Obviously, the power of this army depends entirely on whether these Christians obey the ways of evil.
The Prisoners
Following these vanguard legions was another large group of Christians who had become prisoners of this army. Everyone was injured and guarded by smaller fear spirits. The number of these prisoners seemed to be more than the evil spirits. But what was shocking was that the swords and shields of these prisoners were still there, but they were not used. It is shocking to see so few fears can capture so many Christians. These Christians can easily get rid of them by picking up their weapons, and even greatly disrupt the entire evil army. But instead, they obediently followed along. The sky above the prisoners was shrouded in a group of vultures called depression. These vultures occasionally perched on the prisoners' shoulders and vomited, and the filth they vomited was called condemnation. When the filth fell on the prisoners, the prisoners would stand up and walk straight for a while, then suddenly fall down and become weaker than before. Again, I wondered why these prisoners didn't just kill the vultures with their swords, which they could easily do. Occasionally, a weak prisoner fell down, and when he fell to the ground, other prisoners immediately stabbed him with swords, mocking him as they stabbed. Then the vultures would devour the fallen prisoners, even before they died, and other Christian prisoners would tacitly watch from the sidelines, occasionally stabbing them with their swords again.
As I watched this scene, I realized that these prisoners thought that the filth called condemnation was the truth from God. Then I realized that these prisoners actually thought they were walking in God's army! That's why they don't kill the little spirits of fear or the vultures—they think they are messengers of God! The darkness caused by the vultures that covered the sky like clouds made it impossible for these prisoners to see clearly, so they naively thought that everything they encountered was from the Lord. They thought that those who fell were being judged by God, which is why they attacked those people—they even thought they were helping God! The only food these prisoners got was the filth vomited by the vultures. Those who refused to eat became weaker and weaker until they fell to the ground. Those who ate it became stronger for a while, but they gained the power of the evil one. Then they would become weaker and weaker unless they drank the endless water of bitterness supplied to them. After drinking the water of bitterness, they would begin to vomit on each other. When someone started doing this, an evil spirit waiting to ride would jump on his back and then ride him to join the vanguard legion. What was worse than the filth of the vultures was a disgusting mucus that evil spirits excreted on Christians. This mucus is pride, selfish ambition, etc., which is the nature of the legion to which they belong. However, this mucus makes Christians feel much better than condemnation, so they easily believe that these evil spirits are messengers of God, and in fact they even think that this mucus is the anointing of the Holy Spirit!
This evil army made me sick to death, and then the voice of the Lord came to me, saying: “This is the beginning of the enemy’s end-time army, the ultimate deception of Satan, but when it uses Christians to attack each other, that is when the last power of its destruction is released. Throughout the ages, it has been using this army, but it has never captured so many people to achieve its evil purposes as it does now. But do not be afraid, I also have an army. You must rise up to fight now, because there is no longer any place to escape this war. You must fight for my kingdom, truth, and those who are deceived. These words from the Lord were so inspiring to me that I immediately began to shout to those Christian prisoners, reminding them that they had been deceived, and I thought they would listen to me. As I did this, it seemed that the entire army turned to look at me, and the fear and depression that suppressed them also began to pour towards me. I kept shouting, because I thought the Christians would wake up and understand everything that was happening to them, but many people instead took out arrows to shoot me. Others hesitated, not knowing what action to take against me. Then I knew that the time was not right, and I had made a very stupid mistake.
The War Begins
Then I turned and saw the Lord's army standing behind me. We had tens of thousands of soldiers, but our numbers were still far fewer than the evil army. It was shocking and disheartening to see that there seemed to be more Christians manipulated by the evil one than those committed to the Lord's army. I also knew that this impending battle would be seen as the greatest Christian civil war because only a few understood what forces controlled the approaching conflict. As I looked more closely at the Lord's army, I became even more frustrated because only a few were wearing full armour. Many had only one or two pieces of equipment, and some had none at all. Many were already injured, and those who wore full armour had shields that were almost too small. I knew such small shields could not protect them in the coming carnage. To my surprise, the soldiers were mostly women and children. Among those who wore full armour, very few were well-trained and knew how to use their weapons. Behind this army followed a group of people, much like the prisoners behind the evil army, but fundamentally different. They seemed happy, a bit like they were intoxicated. They were playing games, singing, feasting, and wandering through the tents. The atmosphere reminded me of the Woodstock music festival. I knew the evil army was about to attack me, so I ran towards the Lord's army to take cover.
From every angle, we seemed to be facing a one-sided massacre. I was particularly worried about the group following the army, so I tried to warn them, raising my voice above the crowd's noise, that this was not a time for joy and celebration, that war was about to break out. But very few people even heard me. Those who did gave me a peace sign and said they did not believe there was a war and that the Lord would not let anything bad happen to them. I tried to explain to them that the Lord had given us armour because we needed it in the coming war. But they still argued that they had come to a place of peace and joy where such things could not happen. I began to earnestly plead with the Lord to increase the shields of those who were armoured to protect those who were not ready to fight. Then an angel handed me a trumpet and told me to blow it quickly. I blew it, and those wearing partial armour immediately reacted, snapping to attention. More equipment was brought out, and they quickly put it on. I noticed that the injured did not cover their wounds with the equipment, but before I could say anything, the enemy's arrows began to rain down. Everyone who was not wearing full armour was injured, and those who did not cover up their wounds were shot again in their old wounds. Anyone hit by arrows of slander immediately began to slander those who were not injured. And those whose hearts were pierced by arrows of gossip began to gossip.
Soon, great divisions formed in our camp. I felt that we were on the verge of self-destruction, just like some Gentile armies in the Bible who rose up and slaughtered each other. That feeling of helplessness was terrible. Then vultures swooped down and carried away the wounded, taking them to prisoner camps. The wounded still had swords in their hands and could have easily defeated the vultures, but they did not use them. In fact, they were willing to be taken because they were so angry with those who were not injured. I immediately thought of those behind the army and ran to see if they were okay. Though it seemed impossible, they were even worse off than those in front. Countless people were injured, lying on the ground groaning. Above them was a dense swarm of vultures, taking them away one by one as prisoners. And many of those who were not injured just sat in a daze of disbelief, and they were just as easily carried away by the vultures. A few began to try to fight off the vultures, but they had no suitable weapons, and the vultures did not even care about them.
The injured were so angry that they threatened and drove away those who wanted to help them, but they were docile and obedient to the vultures. Among these stragglers, those who were not injured and had tried to fight off the vultures began to flee the battlefield. The initial defeat in the first battle with the enemy was so terrible that I was tempted to flee with them. Then, in a surprisingly short time, some of those who had fled the battlefield reappeared with large shields and wearing full armour. This was the first thing I remember that gave me encouragement. These warriors who returned to the battlefield no longer carried the joy of attending a feast; instead, they showed great determination. I knew that these people had been deceived once, but they would not be easily deceived again. They began to stand in the places of those who had fallen and even began to form new lines of defence for the rear and flanks. This gave the entire army great encouragement, so much so that the entire army rekindled its determination to stand firm and fight. Immediately, three angels named Faith, Hope, and Love came to stand behind the great army. As we gazed upon them, all our shields began to grow larger; disappointment turned into faith with surprising speed. It was also a firm faith, tempered by experience.
Summary:
Coming Out of a Meaningless Life
The third lesson of the 201 course is a very important part. The foundation of our entire course lies in the idea that people must come out of a meaningless life. If people live and then die, it becomes meaningless.
What exactly are we struggling with? In reality, people live with toil and sorrow. How do we solve such problems? Humans are very pitiable. In fact, it's like those of us who have already borne the fruit of the Holy Spirit and can live in Mingding Destiny. There are still many who do not know that living in this world is truly quite difficult.
When Paul was writing his epistles, he said that it was not that we wished to be in this state, but that He who called us did not want us to live this way. Living in this world is truly quite difficult, but no one wants to die because it's all over after death.
Today, we must know that the faith of Jesus Christ is built on the premise that this life itself has no meaning. Therefore, we must seek a reason for living. Once you find it, that thing is called Mingding Destiny. Some people also seek a reason for living and find only their studies and work in this world. What does a person's heart live like? The key to a person's life is a feeling. If you feel you are living well, then this life is good. Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life. (See Proverbs 4:23)
Why do we talk about Mingding Destiny? If you have Mingding Destiny and can become a blessing to all nations, many things will change, and all problems will be easily solved. When God created man, He placed a life with Mingding Destiny in the human heart.
But as people live, they forget this thing. They indulge in eating and drinking, indulging in the lusts of the flesh, and living in corruption. If they live only to live, if something threatens their life, they will desperately try to protect their life, but in the end, they still cannot protect it and must die.
From Emptiness to the Blessing of Mingding Destiny
Entering into the blessing of Mingding Destiny is the faith of Jesus Christ. That is what Genesis says. Today, we must have a concept that if a meaningless life wants to have meaning, it must enter into a life with Mingding Destiny. A life with Mingding Destiny is a life with the blessing of Mingding Destiny. Then we begin to build the church, which is actually the main theme of the entire Bible.
The New Testament talks about building the church. Why does it talk about building the church? Building the church is the only way to pass on Mingding Destiny and become a blessing to many people. When Abraham was seeking the meaning of life, God gave him a meaning: to be a blessing to all nations on earth. Later, Abraham passed on such a Mingding Destiny, and then he longed to become a blessing to all nations.
Finally, there was Jesus Christ, who came from the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and so on. After Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, He began to build the church. The church is the body of Jesus Christ, and the church is a platform for blessing people. We must have a correct view of the church. The church is definitely not a place for individual practice.
In today's society, many people have problems with their faith because they accept the truth of Jesus Christ partially rather than fully. The entire Bible is actually talking about building the church. Without the church, there is no way to enter Mingding Destiny, and living has no meaning. What kind of concept do many Christians convey? Information about entering the inner room for prayer, but they forget that building the church is very important.
The Church Must Enter into a Unified Relationship
When we enter into a unified relationship, we will become holy. Even if it is not obvious whether we are holy or not, once we have a close relationship with someone, it becomes clear whether we are holy or not. When you establish this kind of close relationship with people, you will find that this life is a very wonderful thing.
You feel that you are not bad, but the relationship suddenly becomes bad. If the relationship becomes bad, it does not necessarily mean that both people have problems; one person must have a problem. Of course, if both people have problems, then the relationship will be even worse. This is where the problem lies. After everyone is united, brothers and sisters love each other and are united together, they will become holy.
Relationship problems have become very important problems in our lives. Relationships can cause people to be hurt. If you do not understand the relationships between people, people are hurt by relationships. Children are unfilial to their parents, and parents are hurt. Parents do not take good care of their children, and children are hurt. There is hurt between husband and wife. There is a lot of hurt.
What problems does this lesson solve today? Solve the problem of people being hurt. Being hurt is not about hurting yourself; it seems that others are hurting us. Interpersonal problems have become very important problems. You will find that people with poor interpersonal relationships have a very hard life.
Wherever they go, they will be hurt. It is not that people make them hurt; they will hurt themselves. These things are the truths revealed by the Bible, teaching brothers and sisters how to search the Bible and how to read the Bible themselves. Later, we taught brothers and sisters how to do healing and deliverance, or how to get healing and deliverance from their own illnesses.
Be Healthy in Spirit and Healthy in Mind
The faith of Jesus Christ is related to several very important aspects of our lives: Be healthy in mind, and be healthy in spirit. A person who is healthy in mind and healthy in spirit is a very healthy person. We must begin to understand one thing: only when we are healthy can we live well.
If a person is unhealthy, if you have this and that, you cannot live well. The most painful disease in the world is mental illness. The painful disease is really not necessarily cancer. Mental illness is very serious. There is nothing wrong with the body, but there is suffering in the heart. Mental unhealthiness will lead to mental illness.
It is very difficult for a person to live out joy, peace, and goodness in their life. Why? Because in the spiritual world, these demons do not like people living in peace and joy. Entering Mingding Destiny actually means obtaining joy and peace.
When a person preaches the gospel and sees people being released and healed, they also obtain joy. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we must also understand some basic concepts, that a person's life is a feeling. If you feel pain, that is a life of pain. What are you living for?
We Must Come Out of Being Hurt
It is a very foolish thing to be hurt. For example, a couple, her husband cheated on her. I was serving this sister, and she said she had been in pain for more than 20 years. This pain caused her to have a lot of illnesses. After her husband cheated, could she live with joy?
In fact, she could. Before she was in love, he was also just an ordinary person. Since such a problem has occurred, you cannot do anything about it, but you can choose to let yourself live a little more joyfully. When I was serving her, she had many illnesses. We must be spiritually awake and know that being hurt is doubling the punishment on ourselves. That is the devil's trick because you are discerning good and evil.
I have a characteristic in doing things: I like to think and get to the bottom of things. I am not very satisfied with many Christian teachings because they do not solve the problem. Later, I thoroughly researched the Bible from front to back and repeatedly read it with prayer.
The revelations of God's Spirit are truly faithful. These key messages are revealed to me. In fact, they are written very clearly in black and white in the Bible, but I did not see them when I read them before. But today, I see them, and I want brothers and sisters to come out of being hurt.
If you search for discerning good and evil on Baidu, only our church's website talks about it. Very few churches talk about it. Many problems come from discerning good and evil. Today, we must understand one thing, that living is all about.
As soon as a person discerns good and evil, they lose joy. Today, when we teach this course, we are teaching it from this perspective. As soon as a person obtains Mingding Destiny, they will have joy. As soon as a person lives a small life, they will be entangled and uncomfortable. As soon as a person pursues God's kingdom and God's will, He will add these things to us, and we will live well.
Today, brothers and sisters, we must all wake up from this situation. When you wake up, you will know that being hurt is a very foolish behaviour. When we enter the logical system of discerning good and evil, questioning how he could do this to me, how could he do this to me when I am so good to him!
Then they are hurt and in pain, and they may even get cancer. We have done such investigations before. Cancer patients have several characteristics, such as being stingy, selfish, indulgent to the flesh, and most importantly, they are mentally unhealthy. They often discern good and evil in their hearts. Sometimes things do not concern them, but they will discern good and evil for others, which is very strange.
Some brothers and sisters have never offended me. I do not even know when I offended them. They have a lot of disagreements with me in handling church matters, and then they are hurt. I find such things particularly strange. I am dealing with other people's problems, and she is there taking sides, which makes her life very hard, and then she leaves the church and continues to run her own path.
The Story of Cain and Lamech in the Bible
Discerning good and evil is very painful. Can you live? Even Lamech and Cain lived. How did they live? On the surface, they look good, but in reality, they are mentally ill. Mental illness is a very painful punishment for people.
What is mental illness? It is when evil spirits enter a person and control their mind and thoughts. The pain of the evil spirits is transmitted to the person. The important thing for a person is to guard your heart. Guard your heart above all else. Do not let these impurities come in.
Genesis Chapter 4, verses 1-24, after Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they later had a child named Cain. Cain had a brother named Abel, one was a farmer, and one was a shepherd, and they both came to make sacrifices.
At that time, God could still speak to them. When making sacrifices, Cain casually offered sacrifices to God, and Abel offered the best sheep and fat to God. The Lord looked with favour on Abel’s offering, but not on Cain’s. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. A person who gets angry easily is also very foolish. The God said, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” (Genesis 4:7)
As a result, Cain opened the door and saw that sin was crouching at his door. No, from a physical point of view, no. From a spiritual point of view, sin is the devil.
It wanted to subdue Cain, which is to make him live in pain. As a result, Satan filled his heart, and strange reactions began to occur inside him. He wanted to harm his brother. It was that God did not look with favour on his offering. What does it have to do with Abel?
Cain felt that Abel hurt him. In the years that I have been pastoring, I have often encountered this problem. It has nothing to do with him, but he gets involved, just like Cain and Abel. They said a few words in the field, and he killed Abel.
The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” (Genesis 4:10-14)
Were there people then? No one. But Cain became mentally ill. There was no one, but he always felt that someone was going to kill him. It was very painful. Then Cain’s descendant was Lamech.
He said to his two wives,
Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words: “I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times.”(Genesis 4:23-24)
Those with mental illness are often extremely suspicious. They misinterpret your words, making communication difficult, and consequently, they live in panic.
In ancient China, there was a man named Cao Cao, very intelligent but also very suspicious. He suffered from headaches and felt that everyone in the world wanted to harm him. Therefore, he had a saying: I would rather betray the world than let the world betray me. He would kill anyone he suspected.
In reality, there are many mentally ill people in this world. For example, Hitler was also mentally ill. Although extremely intelligent, he initiated World War II and ultimately met a tragic end. In this era, we can see that when a person's mental state is not good, they will be hurt. We must completely emerge from these injuries.
The Essence of Being Hurt is the Recognition of Good and Evil
The fundamental cause of being hurt is an event, and the individual's reaction to that event determines whether they are hurt or not. Cain is a very interesting figure. Jehovah God did not regard his offerings favorably, and he did not realize that the problem was with himself.
Instead, he blamed others. You will notice that after eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, people always blame others. Mentally ill individuals believe they are perfect, and the problems lie with others.
If you encounter someone who feels they have no problems and that all the problems are with others, this is a sign of mental illness. Mental illness is an evil spirit. Cain was hurt because he felt it was all others' fault, that others had wronged him.
From a normal perspective, it is hard to understand why Cain would be hurt. If something is wrong, I should just correct it, but he couldn't. He had to be hurt. People with this mindset of recognizing good and evil will always be hurt, no matter what you do.
If there are people around us who are severely caught up in recognizing good and evil, it is best to stay away from them. You might live a happier life. If you don't stay far enough away, you might end up like Abel, who didn't even know how he was killed. It was all in Cain's mind, and the logic within Cain was extremely twisted. I'm not saying I want to solve the problems within those twisted people, but I want to address whether there is this twisted state within the brothers and sisters of our church.
If an event makes you particularly angry, making you feel that they shouldn't have done that, it is likely that you are mistaken. Even if you are right, but you feel pain inside, that feeling of pain is the problem itself.
I have said before, don't punish yourself. What good does it do to make yourself suffer! So I tell you, recognize that the essence of Cain's hurt is the recognition of good and evil, because he felt that others had wronged him. But only he thought that way. Why would he think that way? Because he has his own standards of judgment.
Today, we must know that if we judge things according to our own standards, it is very dangerous. We must, in all circumstances, put God's words within us and use God's words to judge things. This is the path I have walked.
I simply want to put God's words in the hearts of the brothers and sisters, and then let them judge according to God's words. If we can't judge, we should emulate David, Joseph, and others written about in the Bible. People like David and Joseph did not get hurt when they should have and Cain is the kind of person who is hurt when they should not be. Lamech is the same; it's all in his mind.
When my younger sister was 18 years old, she also suffered from mental illness. I understand the pain of mental illness very well. The amount of information her mind processed was enormous. Where did this information come from? Just like Cain, God had said long ago,
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Genesis 4:7)
As a result, Cain did not rule over sin, did not subdue the devil. The devil subdued Cain, and Cain followed the devil's logic, resulting in an extremely painful life. Today, whether the brothers and sisters are living in pain or not represents your state of being. Whether you are joyful or not represents your understanding of God's word.
The Logic of Cain and Lamech
Many people think that pain is caused by others when, in fact, it is their own problem. Whether you are in pain or not is your own choice. Regardless of how you treat them, they will be in pain because pain is inherently a problem of the person themselves. We must understand the logic within Cain, which is the logic of recognizing good and evil.
The logic of recognizing good and evil is the key to the devil's control over people. It is also the devil's base of operations. Cain thought he solved the problem by killing Abel, but the problem became more serious after killing Abel. His mental illness progressed to a more severe stage. Even when alone, he felt that someone wanted to kill him. There was absolutely no joy inside.
Cain wandered the earth all his life. The ground would not yield its produce for him because it was cursed because of him. He worked hard but was always unlucky. If we look closely today, you will find that some people are unlucky in everything they do. They can't catch up with anything. But they don't stop to think that these are the devil's workings in their lives. Spiritual people know this, but they live in that state, and they won't listen to anything you say.
Today, we must start with the essence of why people live. If a person doesn't know why they live, but lives just to live, then they will vigorously retaliate against anyone who offends them, or who they perceive to have offended them, regardless of whether they did.
If killing Cain is avenged sevenfold, then harming Lamech will be avenged seventy-sevenfold (see Genesis 4:24). People become very violent. This is a strongman culture. In fact, Genesis does not approve of a strongman culture. Genesis believes that a person should trust in God. I am not capable, but I trust in God. I do according to God's word, and God protects me.
This set of logic of Lamech and Cain, we encounter quite often in our daily lives. Today, we must be completely clear about the Lamech and Cain logic within us. If you are easily angered, you will live a miserable life because you are under the control of the devil.
Observe those around you or observe yourself. Are you living a good life? Some people, when they reach 40, 50, 70, or 80, easily become sullen. This is not a good way to live.
The problem is not with others but within yourself. You are the key to solving the problem. If you feel you are not living well, don't blame the environment or blame others.
If you are often easily angered and cannot control yourself, you are walking the path of Cain. The path of Cain cannot be walked, because you will always feel that it is others' fault and that you have no problems. This is so tragic, and it ends up making you very miserable. If it's not your problem, whose problem is it!
The Essence of Living is Not About Right and Wrong
Today, I advise everyone that when you measure a person, you can record in a notebook the number of times you lose your temper and how you feel. Then, see how much of Cain is in you. See how many of others' faults you have recorded. You certainly won't live well this way. If you change early, you won't be like this at 20, 30, 40, or 50. It's never too late to change, and you will benefit from it.
Joy or pain is the key, not right and wrong. If you live by right and wrong, people will be very tired. Moreover, your concepts of right and wrong are not accurate. The devil often gives you a wrong standard of right and wrong. A wife told me, My husband looks at my problems with a microscope,放大几千倍, but looks at his own problems with a magnifying glass.” How can someone not be in pain with that manner! . Sees other people's problems very clearly.
You'll find that these people don't reason well because the standard is too chaotic. Measuring oneself is one standard, and measuring others is another standard. With what measure you use, it will be measured to you. If you are very critical of others' faults, God will also be very critical of your faults and will deal with you, just like He dealt with Cain and Lamech.
To solve these problems, we must first understand what living is all about. Then, if you want to live a better life, you must figure out what living is all about. You will no longer recognize good and evil, and you will have discernment, begin to be blessed, and begin to be healthy. A victorious Christian must be victorious in their heart. This victory is not recognizing good and evil and subduing the devil.
If a person doesn't understand what living is all about and doesn't know that people should live in joy, and wants to live well but doesn't understand, thinking that living means having money and food, and they don't want to give, or they are not willing to offer themselves to God, and they don't do well in offering sacrifices, then people will become very stingy, and God will rebuke them.
The Root of Pain is Recognizing Good and Evil
Once you recognize good and evil, you will be hurt. If you are hurt in your heart, your emotions will become volatile, and you will lose your discernment, blame others, and feel angry. Seeing blessed people, you will become even more angry and kill the blessed people, resulting in fear and mental illness. Then you will live even worse. Originally, you wanted to live a better life, but you end up living even worse. This is very interesting. Many people want to live a better life, but they end up living even worse.
Being hurt takes us to the root of pain. The reason for being hurt is that we believe that some people and some things will affect whether we live well or poorly. So we take those things very seriously and get hurt, which brings us into pain, and as a result, we don't live well.
Today, we must completely emerge from the state of ignorance about God. If a person is ignorant about living, they will certainly live in pain. The essence of living is not about right and wrong. If right and wrong cannot affect the joy within us, then you are a healthy person.
If a person is spiritually healthy, they will be joyful. If not healthy, they will be in pain. If a person is not spiritually healthy, even a small matter will cause them pain. A spiritually healthy person, even if they encounter bad things, still believes that life is in God's hands and still believes that nothing can change God's plan for us, so they are not hurt. This is your perspective.
If you clearly recognize that a person being hurt means pain, and pain means being hurt, and they feel that things are not good even when good things happen, this is recognizing good and evil. They believe that these things will affect their lives and make them live poorly, so they desperately resist them. This is the root of the problem.
Being hurt and pain are an important issue and come from the recognition of good and evil. Recognizing good and evil is a lie. The place where the devil reigns is the place where good and evil is recognized. If a person recognizes good and evil, they are inviting the devil into their life.
If a person recognizes good and evil, it is actually the root of their suffering. This is why God tells us to live in faith, believing in God, and not in standards of right and wrong. The power of lies comes from the spiritual world.
If you want to live well, by all means, do not recognize good and evil. If you don't recognize good and evil, which path should you take? Take the path of faith. No matter what happens, still believe that God is in control. If you have faith in God, no matter how many difficulties there are, you can still walk through them and live in prosperity.
If you carefully observe these people, they are very broad-minded. Today, we must know that Cain and Lamech lived in pain. The system of Cain and Lamech is a logical system that causes pain. Once on the stage when I leading everyone to sing a song, a brother told someone else, said that the expression in my eyes was in anger. Actually it wasnt, and I wasn't that bored or have nothing to do . What people see in the eyes is strange.
Brothers and sisters, today we must change our perspectives and change the logical system of our thinking, and then we will not be trapped in the root of pain of Cain and Lamech. Cain and Lamech both believed that their decisions were very correct. If you carefully observe, many people make truly terrible decisions. In fact, they are very foolish decisions, but they think they are very clever. It's really strange.
Rejecting the Recognition of Good and Evil Requires Faith
No matter what, they are in a very painful state internally and have no sense of security. These people also have some characteristics: they will deny outright that they are living well and comfortably. It is quite difficult to change these people. The solution to the problem of human life is faith: rejecting the recognition of good and evil. Faith and the recognition of good and evil are opposed. The recognition of good and evil is judging things according to standards of right and wrong. The essence of being hurt is eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
When people feel that they are not wrong, and that others are wrong, this is the essence of being hurt. Being hurt leads to living in pain and entanglement. Today, by all means, emerge from the past hurts. When I minister to people who are severely bogged down in the recognition of good and evil, how do I minister to them! I will ask them if they are living in pain. If they think they are living in pain, I will encourage them to emerge from that pain. Do you want to continue living in pain? If you do, then continue to live in pain. If you don't want to live in pain, then follow me.
You should know that you do not do the good that you want to do, but the evil you do not want to do is what you do. This is the sin within us and the devil at Cain's door. Once you understand these spiritual principles, even if he wants to be joyful but is not joyful, and does not want to be in pain but is in pain, that is the devil. You need to lead others toreject the recognition of good and evil and reject the devil's lies.
Then this person will face the brink of collapse because that demon is about to be cast out. When ministering to these people, you must encourage them to emerge. If they don't want to emerge, you can't help them. If you don't want to emerge, I can't help you either. If you continue to walk the path of recognizing good and evil, then no one can help you.
In fact, a lot of people feel that I want to harm them. Why would I want to harm you? The recognition of good and evil is very serious. It is a miracle that anyone can remain among us until today. Later, many brothers and sisters discovered that it was all their misperceptions.
We must yearn to be clever people and yearn to be healthy people, those that know that self righteous and识别善恶, is doubling the penalty on ourselfs! When you become a Mingding Destiny, and leave the small days, your chest will open. your Eyes and Eye Sight can be changd. Faith can create a future; the recognition of good and evil has no future. Start holding onto your faith and emerge from this tragic situation.
The key point for a person's deliverance is whether they want to be in pain. If you don't want to be in pain, then reject the recognition of good and evil. If you want to be in pain, no one can help you. As long as you are willing to emerge, it is easy to solve. 走出来的路就是弃绝识别善恶 The way out is to reject the recognition of good and evil.
In the process of ministering, try not to analyze who is right or wrong, as that is the recognition of good and evil. After analyzing it, you yourself will nearly be controlled because it is useless to talk about these things. It will only make you more painful.
The true way out is to reject being hurt, reject the recognition of good and evil, and reject these standards of judging things. Then, declare in faith that even if these things are right or wrong, so what? What does it have to do with me? I still believe that no one and nothing can hinder me from entering into God's plan, and all things will not change our destiny. This is a healthy person.
A healthy person can minister to others. An unhealthy person will corrupt others when ministering to them. We must know that we must become healthy people. A person who is easily hurt is an unhealthy person. So brothers and sisters, start to emerge from the original state of being hurt.
