I. Introduction
Good day to you all! Today, we embark on a new series: breaking free from spiritual bondage. A new series, or rather, attaining freedom from oppression. The title of today's sermon is For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. A person is bound by what they deem valuable. Have you noticed this principle? Those in bondage live in a tormented and unfree manner. Yet, Jesus Christ came to grace us, originally to set us free. Among these bondages, the most prevalent is that of wealth, for money is a formidable force. God refers to wealth as hard currency, and at the mere mention of gold or money, eyes light up.
Are there any from Guangdong among us? In Guangzhou or Shenzhen, the most common topic of conversation is money. Where and how to make money? Am I wrong? Money is their treasure! I have also noticed this in Zhejiang. Are there any from Zhejiang here? People there also love money. You can discuss anything, they are generally righteous and treat people well. If you are in business, they are usually quite fair.
However, the moment you mention money, say you won't pay or return it, they might destroy your property. Oh, my heavens! Upon encountering money, their faces change instantly. So, this is quite interesting. I have observed that many are bound by treasures and money. Anything is negotiable, except money – it damages relationships. Yet, they live in this bondage, and if you ask them why, they cannot provide a clear answer. They simply live this way, lacking freedom.
In Zhejiang, there is an interesting phenomenon: a multitude of private enterprises. You provide guarantees for me, I provide guarantees for you, a whole chain of them, a means of mutual support. Someone typed a message: Try testing friendship with money – will the ship of friendship capsize? Well said, thank you for your contribution; such contributions are valuable during my sermons. This often leads to a complete collapse, and then everyone wants to help prop it up, but no one is truly free. Think about it: if you guarantee for me but not for others, is that acceptable? Ah, who knows where disaster will strike first? Isn't it so? Corrupt officials are also the same – they operate in groups, also providing mutual guarantees. The world is a world of mutual guarantees. It makes me reflect deeply: Is there a future in money? Tell me, is there a future in money? Is there a future in business? No!
I know a Singaporean boss whose business spans the globe. His brother manages operations in Hong Kong, while he oversees the Singaporean side. Tragically, his brother developed cancer before the age of 40, despite having ample wealth. He was very close to his brother and knelt before the doctor, saying, If you can save my brother, I will pay any amount. But his brother died. After his brother's death, he started seeking another path, one beyond making money. Why seek another path? He was also on the verge of getting cancer. Why on the verge of getting cancer? Upon examination, many of his health indicators were problematic.
Managing such a vast enterprise caused him great anxiety. If something goes wrong, you are not truly in control. With such a large enterprise, can you manage everything? The people you hire are mostly motivated by money. Do you think they are working diligently for you? Not at all! So, he was constantly troubled. The monthly payroll exceeded a hundred million. Where did that 300 million come from? Stressful. Every morning, he would start his day by running until his feet bled. He would run until his feet bled because he needed the pain to feel some relief.
Finally, one day, he attended the church I attended. He was in great distress. He had become a believer around the same time I did. After converting, he entrusted everything to God and felt at peace. Did he have money? Yes. Was he in bondage? Yes! He was wealthy but in bondage. Such stories are abundant; I have seen countless of them. The stories in China are even more poignant. There is suffering, living in great agony. It makes me realize how tragic it is for a person to live like that. I am very fortunate to have concluded at a young age, before 20, that life is vanity. People rush headlong into the grave, like mosquitoes, flapping their tiny wings with great frequency. They buzz briefly near your ear and then quickly die. They flutter so quickly, and similarly, people flutter through life and die quickly. Some even shorten their lifespan in this world, losing ten years for each evil deed.
In fact, I tell you, I have always had a clear perspective since childhood. I never felt exceptionally satisfied with good grades or distressed by poor ones. Sometimes, my ranking would drop from first to twentieth. It did not matter. Many asked, What kind of person are you? A godly person, thanks be to God! If you ask me why I was like that, I wouldn't know. I simply did not find life very interesting. I tell you, when I met God, after meeting God, My heavens! I found a treasure, and I am not exaggerating! Do you know why I am so sure it is a treasure?
The church I attended was the only exorcism church in Singapore at that time. There were few churches that performed exorcisms. If you engaged in exorcism, you were considered a cult. They performed exorcisms, so I went to observe and witnessed so many miracles. I walked into that church myself. Isn't that God guiding me to find a treasure? In the spirit realm there is power, that is a big deal! I found support. I was thinking, in the spiritual area have a support and get Shang Fang Sword, you can walk around in the spiritual world! See the the ghosts, step on it; then see a bigger ghost; step on it; then see a bigger ghosts: Go! crawl from my legs! Powerful!
I tell you, it is so freeing! I have been free since I was young. After knowing God, will I not become more free? Surely, I will become more free! Therefore, I view God as my greatest treasure. I ask you, if I view God as my greatest treasure, what would I do? I certainly view Him as the supreme treasure, the most important thing in my life! The most important, the most important thing. That is why I haven't missed a Sunday service in thirty years. It is not easy. Can one joke about one's greatest treasure? I cannot put that time aside for anything. I never miss a Bible study. In fact, I tell you, my cell group leader led the group with Bible and his Bible was broken to the point cannot use anymore ,that I'd still go. I go for God, right? That time has already been set apart as holy.
In that era, unlike now, there was only one prayer meeting a month. Few attended it, and few liked to pray. I attended every one, never missing a single one. Impressive, right? The pastor was surprised: what kind of a brother is this? He is not a group leader, he is nothing, but never misses anything. In Singapore at that time, Chinese were not well-regarded. People just considered you Chinese. But God is my treasure; I do not care if others do not regard me. I did not care about it. God is my treasure. My heart is so free! Sometimes, I am confused, but I quickly come to my senses. I live a life of freedom. Do you envy that life? Envy. Recently, I have been a little distressed. Why am I distressed? The church has reached a new stage of development, requiring new strategies, new wisdom, and new direction from God. We need to do new things again, so this discomfort is normal.
I have ministered to many patients with depression. Why were they depressed? Because they took the things of the world too seriously. They viewed dung as treasure, living a life like a dung beetle, resulting in depression. Why depression? Because they were oppressed by the spirit of depression. What we thought was treasure was not treasure; it was actually dung. You see those who invested poorly and became depressed. They came among us, and it was difficult to undo that knot, but they are now a bit better.
Ten years ago, a child, newly graduated with a master's degree, became depressed. Why? All for that dung. If you are dealing with coal briquettes, I understand, but dung? Do you not find it smelly? So upsetting! People in this world desperately need freedom. If you want to break free from bondage, the most important thing is treasure. If a person cannot live freely in this life, isn't it a waste? There is a poem that attests to this: Life is precious, love is even more so. But for the sake of freedom, both can be given up. Even unbelievers understand this, yet believers do not, and are still working with dung. Today, we must stop running after dung! Today, we must attain freedom! We must not live a life that isn't human or ghostly! We must live out God's glory and live out God's image. The root of all these problems is what you consider treasure, what you consider valuable. What is true gold and silver? For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also!
This is what I call core interests, and today, my core interest is God! God is my core interest, He is my treasure. So how can you take it away? You cannot take it away! Can it be taken away? God dwells in my heart! Recently, I have been emphasizing the need to know that everything in this world is vanity. I minister to one and emphasize it to one, minister to another and emphasize it to another. Knowing that people need God, knowing that God is our treasure. I really want to tell you: How blessed are these people! God is truly our treasure! Consider everything as dung, to gain Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure.
“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8 NIV)
Today I tell you, if you analyze the things of this world a little, you will find that none of the promises of money come true, but every promise of God is fulfilled. Right? People are full of lies, and how many of these lies are related to money? Many, many! People cannot live without money! Today, they have revisited this. Many years ago, a girl said: I would rather cry in a BMW than smile on a bicycle. I said, how much is that. Is it? Many years later, she did not find a BMW, but cried every day. You sit in a BMW and cry, I think you sit on an old horse and cry! After research, a person this life passes quickly.
At the beginning of this year, we sent off an old man who died in his nineties. The urn was taken out. Last year, I visited this old man. He had a very interesting habit. He would withdraw all his pension in cash and place it in stacks on his bed. They made a recording and sent it to me. I looked at it and said: bad. Why? Isn't he dead? Why? He must had Alzheimer. Why? He counted money every day. In fact, after counting a stack, he took other stacks, and cannot count clearly at all.
Later, he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. One day he fell, causing a six-stitch gash on his forehead. Then he fell again and was hospitalized. Tubes were inserted, then removed, and then he passed away. I found it quite interesting, that this is ninety years old. Seventy-year-olds are the same, we’re gonna jump little bit. Seventy-year-olds are the same, but counting in their hearts, valuing money. When they leave, the money becomes ghost paper, and the ghost paper becomes money.
Seventy-year-olds also count, counting in their hearts. But if you are among us, you must not do this, knowing that it will lead to Alzheimer's disease. Fifty-year-olds are the same, how do they count? They count the number of properties they invested in. They counted and counted and became depressed, halved or real estate prices fell. Thirty-year-olds count in the same way, but on their mobile phones and online banking. They open their phones to see how much money they have. Every time they look, they always feel there is less money they imagine . Some imagine there is more, they are very happy . Twenty-year-olds also count, on Huabei is a Chinese online platform, why? They borrow on Huabei.
Vanity of vanities, living a life of sorrow. Why do people live like this? Do you not know there is God? Don't say about those who are not believers . In the church, we need to say. Why live like this? We didn't know God before, and there was no hope in the world. Some people have hope in this world, but it is also a hope of vanity. Now they know God, but they don't know that God is our treasure. Isn't this a tragedy? All your needs are met in the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you understand that? Birth, aging, sickness, death, all our needs in life are met in Jesus Christ.
You need a job, right? If you are a working person, at the age of working that you need a job , right? If you trust God well, God create and will provide job for you and create an opportunity. If you don't believe it, you find it slowly. If you are sick, Jesus is your healer, and by Jesus' wounds you are healed. Spend money? Do you need to spend money for that? If you encounter disaster, God's Spirit is with you. His staff and His rod will protect you. Even if ten thousand people fall at your right, and a thousand at your left. You walk through the valley of the shadow of death, yet fear no evil. Do you understand this? This is something I have verified, so I dare say it.
Jehovah God is your inheritance. Today, let us store up our treasures in heaven, for He is our ever-present help in times of trouble. He is our ATM, He will give us our daily bread, and you will never be in need. You are like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Is this what we say treasure? How many people are truly willing to invest their time in Jesus Christ? I tell you, we have many things to do. If that thing has no value and no return, you will not be busy with it.
I once did an experiment, saying: Come to me at 3:00 a.m. and get a thousand dollars. The next day, everyone came, and I asked, Why did no one come? Someone asked, Is it real? I said, Of course, it is real. I prepared it in cash and put it here, but no one took it. Ah, they regret it. They do not believe!
God is truly a treasure, not Huabei. Huabei is debt, a treasure is making money. Jehovah God is our treasure, He is my life, He is my truth, He is my way. Today, let our hearts be with God. How many people are studying political economy? If you read political economy of God's kingdom, it is treasure. you may not know a story about Treasure Bowl, have you heard the story about Treasure Bowl? When I was a kid, my family was very poor and Uncle Wang next door loved to tell stories. Once got an story about diarrhea , of all the stories, I liked Treasure Bowl. From that day I know Jesus Christ, Jesus is my Treasure Bowl. Today, let our hearts return to God. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also, Amen!
II. Scripture
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21 NIV)
Is it good? Today, let us ask where our heart is. Some brothers and sisters often sit together and talk, and I listen nearby. Ah, so-and-so bought a house and its value increased by two hundred thousand; so-and-so bought a house and its value increased by three hundred thousand; so-and-so bought a house and its value increased by so much. After listening, I think so far away from me, but I think this is too low level. Why talk about these things? Because they think those things are treasures.
III. Prayer
God! Today, release us to be free, let us be released from the bondage of mammon. Let us be released from the bondage related to money so that our eyes may focus on You, for You are our treasure. Let us store up treasures in heaven so that our hearts may return to You. God! Give us wisdom and cleverness today so that our hearts may return to You and praise You when the time meet you ; God! Let us accumulate many treasures in our heavenly accounts and receive praise before You, that we may be called faithful and good servants; God make us faithful and loving ; God, give us wisdom and cleverness today, open our minds, let us know what is true gold and silver, let us know what is the supreme treasure, let us gain wisdom today, learn how to consider everything as dung, and gain Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
IV. Scripture Background
This passage of scripture is good, but it is difficult to implement. We don't know how to implement it. This sentence is well said, but the question is how to implement it. Today, we will discuss how to implement it. This passage of scripture comes from the Gospel of Matthew. Chapters 5, 6, and 7 of the Gospel of Matthew are called the Sermon on the Mount. The Sermon on the Mount. Matthew condenses the teachings of Jesus Christ written in chapters 5, 6 and 7 to Matthew.
The Sermon on the Mount is a treasure. If you can understand the Sermon on the Mount in chapters 5 to 7 of the Gospel of Matthew, you will be amazing. This is the entire logical system of God's kingdom, that is, how God sees problems and how God sees these things. God sees it this way: People are meant to store up treasures in heaven. It's just that people don't believe it, and people just busy for what is now, until they got death. What does it mean? The person whole value, then you believe this is treasure, so it’s the values. If a person thinks this is valuable, they will pay the price for this value; if they think that has value, they will pay the price for that. A person's three views: world view, outlook on life, values need to be transformed in Jesus Christ.
Where is a person's heart? A person's heart is where his treasure is. The treasure that different group of people see are different, some got freedom, some got bondage; some got health, some got Alzheimer. God does not want us get Alzheimmer, or get cancer, but people don't know so much. People take vanity as treasure, it is a deadly issue. Some people say: Lose a watermelon and pick up a sesame seed, lose big gain small. I ask you, which is bigger, picking up a watermelon or picking up a sesame seed? A watermelon is of course bigger, what can you do with a sesame seed? Not enough to fill the gap between your teeth. So values are very important.
What exactly do people think has value? For example, like someone like me, I think God is the most important value and value treasure. So I believe it and pay one tiny price for God. I have often seen brothers and sisters talking to me about meeting customers on Wednesdays and Fridays. So his pastor will ask me, teacher: what should I do? I said: Then let him go to see the customer, because he thinks that has value. People think that has value. You can't give people twist or create trouble towards people. What people think those things are value, so he do so.
I don’t think those thing are value , just do what I think is value. Everyone must know that I can bear many losses. You lose, I see you take advantages . You should know what is gain and what is loss. , So we should follow God's logic to judge. Some time ago, a sister was very sad. When I saw she sadness, I have to serve her. I called her and asked what was wrong. She said, My brother has cancer. I said, What are you sad about about your brother? I thought you had it. She said, I don't, but he is the only brother. I am saying is too straight, I said: You quit it,when dividing family properties, will it be what your brother will say, do you see it so much? He wants to pocket the money to himself.” In the face of property, there is no brotherhood. After I finished speaking, she said, You’re saying correct as well , I am not worried.
I regret what I said; I should not have soured the relationship between siblings. What is to be done? I feel constrained by this matter; I must release her. People seek what they treasure. Looking at the context of this passage, we realize that people seek what they value. Is it not so? For example, if three or five of us gather, what do you need prayer for? Teacher, pray for my job. Understood, your job is your treasure. Before long, this Mingding Destiny cannot continue. Can this Mingding Destiny continue? It cannot.
If your job is your treasure, how can you proceed? Will you not become more conflicted? Teacher, I am very conflicted lately. Should I meet with clients or meet with God for Bible study? Meet the clients; that is your treasure. We cannot block people's path to wealth, for cutting off someone's means of income is like killing their parents. Would I kill your parents? You would hate me, right? We cannot do that; as pastors, we should not do that. I do not force, I do not twist people around.
For instance, some believe in doing good, being a great philanthropist worldwide; they value that. Some pray, but their prayers are not good. They wear sackcloth and ashes, sitting at street corners, claiming to fast. They are showing off, are they not? Is there not an element of boasting? As for what they seek in prayer, you will see all sorts of things. One day, I received a call late at night. Teacher, pray for my money. At one in the morning, asking me to pray for his money. I said I have not learned that lesson, praying for money.
I asked what was happening and needed an explanation. He said that every night at one o'clock, when he was half-asleep, the Holy Spirit would wake him up and tell him to pray for his money. I questioned whether it was the Holy Spirit. Upon asking, I realized he had invested all his millions in a business. After investing, he hoped to make money. However, like a meat bun thrown to a dog, it was gone forever, all failed. He said, Teacher, I originally wanted to use the business to support the poor preachers here. Upon hearing this, I knew something was wrong; it would be strange if he were not cursed.
Remember, never offer donations to support preachers among us. That invites God's wrath; God does not need your help. You are hindering, not helping; God hates this. Because he believed money was important, God ruined him. He asked me to pray for him and questioned whether the one waking him up at night was the Holy Spirit. I said it was an evil spirit. He hung up the phone. I went back to sleep. He did not believe it; he thought it was the Holy Spirit. Would the Holy Spirit do such a thing? People seek what they value; that is where the problem lies. Why are people offended? Because their core interests are touched. Some have fragile egos; you cannot touch them. Others have money; you cannot touch that. If you touch their core interests, they will not forgive you. If you did not take advantage of them, how could they be offended? Therefore, forgiveness is because you took advantage of them.
Which is more precious? Once people walk the path of the world, their eyes become dim. You see the red hundred-yuan note through their eyes. If you are in America, you see the green. In China, the eyes are red because the RMB is red, while the US dollar is green. Seeing a hundred yuan through their pupils, I felt that this was visible through the eyes. Therefore, whether a person is free in their spirit can be seen through their eyes.
You see, people are like this. What do people worry about? Worrying and concern are about money. Rarely do they worry about why the Kingdom of God is not flourishing, nor do they worry about a sister or brother still under bondage. Rarely, not much. But today, it depends on what we value and what we seek. Jesus summarized that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Where your treasure is, where you think your treasure is, your heart is surely there. That is why you know whether someone has it or not when they open their mouth, because what they say is all that they care about.
What to do in the end? Our treasure should be stored in heaven. How to store it in heaven? Seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Is that not good? This passage leads to the Lord's Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Do you understand? So, how do we store up treasures in heaven today? By seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. How much of God do you possess, and how much does God possess you? How much is completely dedicated to God is how much of God you fully own, that is storing up treasures in heaven. So today, let us awaken, brothers and sisters. God is our treasure, this must be imprinted on your heart.
Can God help those who trust in Him avoid disasters? Yes, absolutely. God can help those who trust in Him avoid disasters. Will those who trust in God lack money? They will not lack money, no. Will those who trust in God be healed when they are sick? They will be healed. Will those who trust in God have strength? They will have strength. Will those who trust in God have wisdom? They will have wisdom. Do you understand? I tell you, if you are doing research and you trust in God, your research will certainly be better than others'.
If you are an engineer and you trust in God, all your work will be blessed. Remember, the promises of God in the Bible, no matter how many, are all yes in Jesus Christ. If you carefully observe and follow God's words, God will make you the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Because your treasure is in heaven, God will surely take care of you. Because our God is the God of the living, and if we do not have God's grace upon us while we are alive, we will lose heart. What does this mean? God will surely give you grace. Today, let us look at these things in detail.
Five. What is your treasure?
What is your treasure? Do you know? Everyone, write down in your notes, what is your treasure? If you write that God is your treasure, you are right. So clever! Many years ago, we had a group leader who seemed quite earnest in his service. It was a bit difficult to find a job in those days. Later, I arranged a job for him. I did not need him to thank me, but he did not really thank me. From then on, his job became a very important part of his life. What was the result? Interestingly, every time he prayed, it was, Teacher, pray for my job.
Okay, I would pray for his job, wishing God's blessings upon him. Later, I thought something was not right. Why? His job was his treasure. In those days, the church was quite corrupt; there were no prayer meetings. Later, the church reformed, dismantling the old and establishing a new church focused on prayer.
Sunday gatherings were not like today; today, we disperse after the Sunday service. Back then, we stayed to continue praying. Sunday was truly the Lord's Day, spending almost the entire day at church. After the Sunday service, many would slip away quickly. Off to live their lives. Fair enough. Those were the early days; only three, five, or six people stayed to pray with me. After a month, he stayed. I wondered why he stayed. Teacher, pray for me. I asked, Why are you here to pray again? He said, Teacher, I failed all my exams. Ah, failed. I said, Then I will pray for you. Amazingly, he passed them all. From then on, he knew, Oh! God is my treasure. No, his job was still his treasure. But he learned to be clever this time, staying for every prayer meeting.
Another month passed, and another sister, who used to run off, returned. I asked, Why are you here to pray again? Why did you not slip away today? Teacher, I failed my exams. Another one who failed exams. You cannot avoid failing. Teacher, pray for me. After prayer, she passed again. Later, you know what? God was incredibly miraculous; the entire church came to pray. I tell you, everyone came to pray. Why? Because it addressed their core interests. Actually, their hearts were not filled with God, but with their core interests. But without God, they could not obtain their core interests. So what they sought was either their job, their exams, this, or that.
Later, the church reformed again, becoming Mingding Destiny. Those with destiny followed me, those without destiny could get lost, and so they all left. That is how the church progressed. Today, I tell you, why is it called Mingding Destiny? Because you have not made God your life, your destiny; you cannot walk this path. Later, that person went to another church, one that did not have so many requirements, unlike us.
Do you all realize today? Have you noticed that you lack nothing? Some brothers and sisters among us are not very bright, but their jobs are still fine; God protects them. They participate in so many Bible studies, prayers, Sunday services, and ministries, and nothing is neglected. Is this not miraculous? They earn more money. But do not get it backwards. With God, you have everything, not using God to earn your money. What is your treasure? Never place your children, your studies, your job, your business above God. If you do today, it is okay; you will come looking for me one day. Teacher, pray for me. Then I will pray for you. So, brothers and sisters, start asking yourselves, what is most precious to me? If what is most precious to me is not God, quickly change it to God; do not be foolish.
Six. Only gaining Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure
I often receive such testimonies: Teacher, I do not know how I got this job. Because what? If God wants you to have it, you cannot not have it; if God does not want you to have it, you will not have it. Jesus Christ is the answer to all our problems. I knew this from the first day I believed. Over time, I have proven it one by one, and I believe it more and more. Do you know how I proved it? Originally, we only had a Bible study on Fridays and a service on Sundays, nothing else. Later, I led the church's group leaders in Bible study on Wednesdays. Amazingly, everyone came. I worried and said, Do not neglect your studies, do not neglect your work. They said, We are not neglecting it. So they were not neglecting it. Later, we had prayer meetings on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and they all came. I said, Do not neglect your studies, do not neglect your work. They said, We are not neglecting it. I said, God, you are truly miraculous!
Later, I discovered that God is the God who creates time. I do not know how they had time. If you wanted to save this time, you would not know where it went. Now I understand where it went; they spent it all on TikTok. Right? Now that we have squeezed this time out, we realize that we lack nothing. Why don't you try it? We have a sister who works in a hospital in Australia. There are many competitors in the same industry. Their businesses are not doing well, but her unit's performance is particularly good, especially her performance. Because she is a small shepherd, ministering to brothers and sisters with pain, often casting out demons at work. Her job is also fine; she is a small leader in the company, and no one manages her. As she kept doing this, her performance became particularly good. Some people asked her why her performance was so good. Sometimes her speech is not so clear, but one thing is that she regards Jesus as the supreme treasure, and her performance is driven by casting out demons.
If you children dedicate your time to God, will your grades improve or not? It will definitely not delay your studies, because studying those things only requires 10% of your time. You do not need to be so busy. So everyone must know to regard Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure. If you are a business manager or a team leader, where does performance come from? Performance comes from Jesus. If God wants to bless you, no one can take it away. But you cannot regard your performance as the supreme treasure; you must regard God as the supreme treasure, and then there will be performance. I have always known this logic in the past few years, which is why I regard God as very, very important, not just generally important. Some people think I am rigid, but that is not the case; it is the rules; I keep God's rules.
As I was working, my boss left, and I took his position. What can you say? I did it, and after ten years, my salary increased tenfold. What do you think? This is incredible. The problem is that no one manages my work; I make my own decisions. I can do whatever I want; I often release people in my meeting room. Is this not given by God? Given by God. What happens if you lose your job later? Because building the church the wrong way brought a curse. If I had built the church correctly at that time, maybe the giving would have continued. But I repented quickly, and I continued to keep God's rules and build the church according to God's rules. The church has become a blessing to many, many people. The church is really not a place that lacks money. The church is a place that distributes blessings. You must never use money to support God, nor can you use money to support God's servants. You must regard Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure. This is the best advice I can give you. How can you regard Him as the supreme treasure?
Seven. Seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness
How can you regard Him as the supreme treasure? Seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. I have never understood this matter clearly in all these years of believing. Every time we pray to our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come... How exactly does the Kingdom of God come? Where you drive out demons by the Spirit of God, there the Kingdom of God comes. So driving out demons is very important. Recently, we have all come through by driving out demons through the Spirit of God. Recently, I have discovered that many demons can only be driven out through breakthroughs in understanding. I think seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness is driving out demons, relying on the Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
Why? Because the place occupied by demons is not the Kingdom of God. The place occupied by the Japanese devils does not belong to China. Only by driving out the Japanese devils does it belong to our China. No matter who occupies our land, it does not belong to our China, right? Even the disputed islands that others occupy do not belong to China. You cannot go there with your ID card; it is their place. So only by driving out the demons can that place become the Kingdom of God. How the Kingdom of God comes, the Chinese Mingding Destiny explains very clearly. How to drive out demons? There must be God's army, there must be God's Spirit. God's army is God's church, is God's temple. So fighting spiritual battles is not for individual soldiers; fighting spiritual battles requires building God's army. A group of Israelites, ragged and enslaved, came out of Egypt. When they came out of Egypt, the Bible said that God's army came out of Egypt. This is incredible; God's intention was to build an army.
Why are the requirements so high? Can you build an army if the requirements are not high? Coming when called, going when dismissed. Today, as we fight this spiritual battle, we must begin to have this concept of an army. Only an army can enter Canaan, drive out the giants, and obtain the promised land. This is also true today. Today, the church must be built according to God's army. Building according to the family will only lead to a life of survival. Can you avoid being bullied by those around you? Right? So seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. What is the righteousness of God? It is the word of God. Believing in God's word is called the righteousness of God. The word of God is established in heaven. All things in heaven and earth will pass away, but God's word will last forever. The righteousness of God is believing in God's word; you become righteous people. If you believe in God's word, you are seeking the righteousness of God. If you believe in your own words, you are establishing your own righteousness. Establishing your own righteousness leads to entanglement and suffering. Establishing God's righteousness brings joy within.
So I often say that after listening to brothers and sisters talk a lot, a whole bunch of drivel, what is God's word? Not one sentence is God's word; they are all talking about their own logic. Can they avoid ruining themselves? If you seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things will be added to you. Everything I have today comes from God. I offer what comes from God to God, because I seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Why build God's army? Build God's glorious church? Because that is seeking the Kingdom of God. Why do we drive out demons? Because it allows the Kingdom of God to come upon you.
Today, during prayer, there was a sister with a 90-degree hunchback. I boldly prayed based on God's word and God's promises. She straightened up almost completely. Next, she will help me write a testimony; that is God's work. So I think this is such grace. Is God not our treasure? God is our treasure. So why do we not treat Him as a treasure? All your needs, until you leave this world, are satisfied in Jesus Christ. Why do we establish our own righteousness? What is the benefit of speaking our own logic? Even if you have logic, it is your own logic, not the righteousness of God. We seek our own righteousness and cannot seek the righteousness of God, and we are controlled and ruined. Even today, there are still many chronic diseases among us that control us. Why? They always want to establish their own righteousness.
I will share a few tips. When I see a person snapping their thumb, they are logical. They are running a reason station; their reasons are more numerous than the oil in an oil station. They are always logical, this reason, that reason, with not one sentence being God's reason. Their reasons are more than God's reasons, and their fingers will not be right and cannot straighten out. Do you understand? People with arthritis, having problems with this joint and that joint, have a lot of hatred and unforgiveness inside. Why? Speaking their own reasons, so how can they not hurt? They hate and unforgive, and after hating, all their joints are ruined. Why do people ruin themselves? Because they do not think Jesus Christ is the supreme treasure. Today, be free from the control of Mammon. Whatever makes you unfree, break it off. Regard God alone as our supreme treasure, and store up treasures in heaven.
We sing a song, preparing to receive today's offering. If you do not understand the meaning of offering, please do not offer. This is a song created by Chinese Mingding Destiny called How I Thirst for Your Presence. If you do not understand the meaning of giving, sorry, we will not accept your offering; you are not qualified. If you do not know that God is a treasure, what are you giving for? Are you going to support God? Supporting God is cursed. You might as well support an idol, because our God owns the universe. What can you offer God, except to offer yourself as a living sacrifice to Him, be free in Jesus Christ, which is pleasing to God and is only right and proper.
Today, we are not tithing; we are offering our whole person, whole body, and whole heart to God, letting God accept us. Amen! Those who do not understand the meaning of giving, do not give, because we are offering to God what comes from God. All these years, I have been a big giver. Thank God, God is faithful. What does the Bible say? You can try it and see if God can open the window of blessing in heaven and pour out blessings on you. Those who have not offered before, those who have reserved plots for themselves, today offer God as a treasure to God. Those who live in curses today will become those who live in blessings. Amen?
Raise your hands and pray with me: God, today I treat you as my treasure, and I will offer myself completely. God, may you accept me, such an offer is only right and proper. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen! Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen! May God bless everyone!
