【Sermon】- Jehovah was with him, and he prospered in all that he did

2024-03-03 6,622 God's Presence Series All Things Go Smoothly Confidence Blessing Curse Of God Fear of God

I. Introduction

Good day to all! Today, I will continue with the series on God's presence, titled The Lord was with him; he prospered in everything he did. I tell you, many people do not value God's presence. Many of the things that people care about appear utterly low in the eyes of God. Not just in God's eyes, but even in my eyes! Sometimes I say, Oh dear, a bump has grown on my head! Later, I found this bump on the head quite interesting. Do you know what it means to have a bump on your head?

Some of the people we minister to love money and the world in their bones. It's not that they don't love God at all. But when they are being delivered, a large boil grows on their heads. A malfunctioning brain is like a bump on the head. When the dirty things in our heads are expelled, a bump grows, and when it bursts, it emits a foul odor. I have never smelled anything so foul, extremely stinky! How filthy must their minds be? Later, I said, There must be faeces in this brain, otherwise how could it be so stinky?

God's presence is infinitely good, yet people do not value it. They think those trivial matters are very important, which is truly strange. So, if you carefully observe the things in this world, you will notice a peculiar phenomenon: some people have misfortune, while others have blessings. Some people are always unlucky in their lives. Don't you find it strange? Whatever they do goes wrong. This has little to do with a person's ability, which makes it very perplexing. What is more important, blessings or ability? You say, Teacher, aren't you asking me to work diligently? I am not asking you to rely on ability, but on God. Because with God's presence, everything prospers. With God's presence, you will certainly have ability. If have ability without God's presence, even if everything does prosper, just one setback is enough to cause you heavy losses!

So, if you observe carefully, some people are blessed, while others are always plagued by misfortune. Have you figured out why? If you have, who do you think is blessed? I tell you, with God's presence, the Lord being with you, you are blessed. If the devil is with you, no matter how hard you try, it won't work! Sometimes you say, But they seem to be doing quite well. That's before the end. In the end, it won't work. Although they built a trillion-dollar business empire, when it fails, it is insolvent. Is that not misfortune? I tell you, nothing compares to God! Don't even say one hundred million, one billion, or one hundred billion, can one trillion compare to God's presence? It cannot! If a person has so many billions, how busy would they be? So busy that they have no time for God. How can they not have misfortune?

Yesterday, while I was ministering, a colleague came to me and said, Teacher, do you know? One of our brothers is very interesting. I asked, How is he interesting? He said, He is blessed! I said, Yes, I need such stories! Then he told me one by one, saying that this brother is recognized by everyone in their company as the top sales champion. There is a miraculous power behind him, so powerful! The clients he meets are all CEOs of companies. You know, when he is dining with them, he might say, Excuse me, I need to step out for a moment. Why? Someone he ministers to is having angina, and he goes out to make calls to minister to them. I ask you, if you have to minister for more than an hour, wouldn't you be leaving the client there for more than an hour? Isn't that a joke? How can you do business like that?

He is quite daring, thinking, Can a client compare to God? Can a client compare to ministry? As a result, after praying for five minutes, the person's angina was relieved, healed in five minutes! What if it were fifty minutes? God is so merciful to us! When he returned, the client asked, What did you go do? He told them, Someone I minister to had angina, and I prayed for them, and they were healed! The client felt that this person was quite divine. This sales champion's performance comes from God, and everything he does prospers. There is no comparison between a blessed person and an unlucky person. Sometimes when I meet brothers and sisters, I say, Let's not talk about this or that. First, resolve your misfortunes! If you're always unlucky, what can you do? In this era of centralized heating, you no longer need to buy coal or handle it. The coal issue is resolved, but the bad luck hasn't ended yet!

I was wondering, when will these people be able to embark on the path of blessing? It makes me anxious! The two most important things in the world are blessing and curse, two paths! You must know that living by the work of your hands and sword is a curse! Relying on your own abilities, with ability as the foundation, that is Esau's path. The other path is relying on God's blessing, not giving up until you receive it! So, this matter is very interesting. In fact, many people are a mixture of blessing and curse, some are fifty-fifty, some are twenty-eighty, some are eighty-twenty. The best is one hundred percent blessed people, like Joseph, whom we are talking about today, who is truly remarkable!

There was once a person named Rebekah, Jacob's mother, which makes her Joseph’s grandmother. This grandmother was amazing. She suddenly conceived twins, and her two children fought in her womb all day long, causing Rebekah a lot of trouble! Then she prayed, and God said, Two nations are in your womb. This actually illustrates one thing: there is also a struggle between two kingdoms within us, one that wants to lead us on the path of the flesh, relying on ability as the foundation, which we call the spirit of Esau; and one that wants to bring us to rely on God's blessing, which is the path Jacob took. As a result, all those who are of the flesh, all those who rely on their own abilities, will serve those who rely on God's blessing. Their existence is for the sake of those whom God loves. Some people take this path of ability as the foundation, which is very difficult. So, this matter clearly describes the struggle between two kingdoms within us.

You should know that I have been blessed since I was a child. How do I know? Because fortune tellers always told me that, they said: you will need to be a blessed person ah! At first I didn't know, I didnt undersatnd when people said that I was blessed when I was a child, but this is indeed a spiritual matter. I didn't quite understand it at first, but now I am beginning to understand. How clear it is now, isn't it very blessed? Not joking, really blessed! It's just that everything I do can be accomplished, and basically nothing ends unfinished. This has brought a problem to everyone, is it innate or acquired? In fact, I must tell you that it is both innate and acquired. Innate is God's election, and acquired is your choice. Some people have already been chosen by God, but they choose to walk a cursed path, so there is nothing you can do. You can't blame God. And some people have not been chosen by God, but they choose to walk the path of blessing, like Jacob, which is very interesting!

Putting these two things together, I must tell you today: everything can be learned. Anything that cannot be learned or chosen has nothing to do with us. You cannot say, God, why are you like this? Why are you like that? The Bible records the story of Joseph so that we can learn to walk the path of God's presence. Everything can be learned. You say that everyone listens to my preaching, but some people become Esau, and some people become Jacob. In fact, Joseph himself learned it. Have you seen a newborn baby? Or a one- or two-month-old baby, they all look the same. Some newborn babies look like little old men. What do they know? What did Joseph know when he was born, what did other children know at birth? Except for crying, and as soon as they cry, their mothers give them milk. It's all like this at birth, but what happened later? Later, he learned to say, Mom, milk! That's probably how they learned.

Later, when he grew up and understood a little, I ask you, were Joseph's later things learned or innate? This matter is really impossible to prove. He was innately fond of these spiritual things. Children are about the same when they are born, but as they learn, they become different. Why? Because of learning, some learn this, some learn that, and as they learn, they become different, so learning is very important. What did Joseph learn? Joseph learned to be with God, and then everything went smoothly! Learning is not far from us. If you observe carefully, you will find that many people are unlucky. Can't you see why? Oh, this person is blessed, I want to be like this person! Can you choose? Yes. This person is unlucky, I don't want to be like this person! Some people say, I don't know how to learn. If you don't know how to learn, you will only learn to be unlucky. You see, the world is different.

Many pastors are very strange. They are not good at learning. When studying the Bible, they say that Joseph was unlucky and was sold by his brothers. Why was he sold? Because Joseph had nothing to do and told them about his dreams, forgetting that God was with him and that he prospered in everything. They didn't understand it. They didn't study well in elementary school and analyzed a lot about why Joseph was sold and why he was unlucky. He didn't know that Joseph went to school. Do you all know what Joseph was studying? Joseph was sold to Egypt to go to university, to study management university, to get a doctorate in business administration, to study management, to study to be blessed, to study to be with God, it is truly divine! Later, he studied to be a prime minister. What can you say when he became a prime minister? You can't say anything. This thing is about judging people. Before reading the scriptures, I must encourage everyone to observe carefully, to see who is blessed and who is cursed, to see who is blessed and who is unlucky, and then you learn, learn, and learn to become a top student!

II. Scripture

Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. Potiphar, an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there. The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field. So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome (Genesis 39:1-6).

III. Prayer

God, today teach us how to be the Joseph of this generation; God, give us such wisdom, let us be able to open our spiritual eyes, see the mystery of Joseph's blessing, see the mystery of Joseph having You with him, let us be able to imitate Joseph, and also have You with us in this generation, and also let everything we do prosper, and let all those we serve also be blessed because of us! God, shape us, mould us, let us become more and more like Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

IV. Scripture Background

Joseph, from childhood to adulthood, was very much loved by his father. We find it very interesting, why did his father only like this child? In fact, when I was young, my father also liked me very much. Being liked by one's father is a very magical thing. Some children are sensible, some children are confused, and they don't know where this confused energy comes from. Why did Joseph please his father? Because his father Jacob was a very spiritual person. Jacob obtained the birthright from his brother Esau, the brother became the younger brother, and the younger brother became the brother. You say, what's the use of being this brother? According to us now, it's actually useless, because Jacob didn't get a penny of his father's property. It is said that Jacob, as the firstborn, should get the big share, but Isaac's things all went to Esau, Jacob didn't value this matter. So why did he want to get this birthright? Because this birthright is God's blessing, what he wants to get it is God's blessing!

Joseph stayed by his father's side since he was a child, and the two of them discussed how to get God's blessing. Joseph asked: Dad, tell me again how you got this birthright, how did you get God's blessing? I have ten older brothers above me, how do I do it? You are very good, you got a birthright with a bowl of red bean soup, I have ten older brothers above me, I have to get ten bowls of red bean soup! It took you seventy-five years to get a bowl of red bean soup, and it would take me seven hundred and fifty years to get ten bowls of red bean soup, I think I should forget it! The two of them are also very interesting. What about the other brothers? Jacob said: Go, go herding sheep! What are you doing at home? Eating free food. Joseph, stay with me, let's continue to deduce how to get God's presence.

The two of them studied this thing very deeply, and later they studied some results. Joseph was very powerful, saying: God, can you get another title on top of the birthright? In fact, my friend, getting another title on top, getting another title on top of that, there is really nothing difficult for God. Today we will say, establish a left prime minister, then establish a right prime minister, establish a former prime minister, and then establish a latter prime minister, and there are also a southern prime minister and a northern prime minister, the name, for God, is as simple as giving a nickname.

Joseph longed for God's presence. At this time, did Joseph know who the birthright belonged to? The birthright belonged to Judah. We don't need to talk about the three brothers in front of him, from the fourth to him, there are seven older brothers in front, and as a result, the birthright fell on Judah. This Judah is okay, he didn't make a mistake. In fact, after his three older brothers made mistakes, Judah picked up a leak. This Judah is very interesting, he doesn't allow himself to make mistakes, and as a result, the people below can't see any leaks. But this Joseph is very powerful. He had a dream in which the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed down to him, and he also dreamed that his brothers' bundles of wheat bowed down to him, symbolizing that his parents, his older brothers, and his younger brother all bowed down to him.

Joseph said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field, when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it. (Genesis 37:6-7)

Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” (Genesis 37:9)

God, what kind of dream is this? People's desire for God's presence must be to the extent of Joseph's desire, that's amazing! As a result, Joseph became the boss at home, even bigger than his father's position, and even bigger than the birthright! When the economic environment is not good, some people worry about not having a job. Sometimes I say: Why worry? If the economic environment is not good, can't God create a job for you? Yes! The birthright is what Jacob pursued, Jacob got the birthright, and Joseph, the eleventh son he gave birth to, God created an even bigger position for Joseph!

So today we must not only get the birthright and this position, but we may also get a bigger position than this! You ask me if there is an even bigger position above Joseph? I don't know. In fact, if you have this ambition, I think for God, adding one more Joseph is nothing, adding another Joseph is no problem, creating one above Joseph is no problem! How difficult is it? God is eager for people to have this kind of pursuit. You say, can Jacob not like him? His father always liked this child, thinking: My child actually has this creativity, this child will be amazing in the future! Joseph's father put this matter in his heart.

In fact, my friend, if this child is in accordance with his father's wishes and pleases his father, he must take the path that his father likes. You say, can his father not like him? So his father sent his brothers to graze sheep. His brothers asked: What about my brother Joseph? His father said: It has nothing to do with you, he is staying with me, the two of us are still discussing the matter of eternal life. The two of them discuss a lot of things, from Abraham to Isaac, and then to Rebekah, Jacob, Esau, Ishmael, what happened to them, they discuss these things in great detail, what is this? This is called learning! Joseph has learned a lot of things, his father was so happy that he made a coat of many colors for Joseph. He wore the coat of many colors and went to find his brothers, when his brothers saw that his father liked this son.

People are very interesting, knowing that my younger brother pleases my father, these brothers don't say that I also want to please my father, but instead want to kill him. These people are stupid! He is blessed by God, kill him! This is Cain and Abel. The people in this world don't have very good heads, can their heads work if they are filled with shit? There are bumps in their heads. I think this matter is particularly interesting, you kill him, and you will be blessed? You kill him, and you will have God's presence? Some people wanted to save Joseph, not wanting him to die, and as a result, they sold Joseph into slavery in Egypt. Do you know what this slavery is all about? The Ishmaelites tied Joseph's hands to the tail of the camel, the camel walked forward, and Joseph followed behind. This child is seventeen years old, and the energy in his bones is still very magical, just like Jesus, carrying the cross, and then walking the road to Calvary. Is that road easy to walk? It's not easy to walk!

Joseph's strength lies in the fact that he was sold, he would definitely cry; he followed the camel like that, walking hundreds of kilometres from the land of Israel to Egypt, and his feet were also worn out. As a result, he sweated, he wept, and he bled, but the faith in his heart cannot be lost, the faith in his heart is holding on! After a while, that voice said: How can my brothers do this? How can they sell me? How can they want to kill me? Too bad! He feels sad when he thinks about it, and when he feels sad, he feels that it's wrong, why is it wrong? Joseph thought: This is what God is doing in me, my God is still in control! Although my brothers sold me, this is God sending me in advance, God wants to make me the salvation of my family. I have came here to go to university, I have came here to study management, I will become the salvation of my family in the future! Powerful, right? He is the oldest, his father must bow down before him, so this kind of person is a very powerful person.

After a while, that voice came again, do you all know? We often have this kind of voice in us, it depends on which side is competing, which side is winning. Do you all feel the same? After a while, this voice came, and after a while, he killed it with faith again; after a while, it came again, and he killed it with faith again! It's all tears when you say too much, but you have to win, relying on God. Whether people sell me to Egypt as a slave or not is something I can't control, but there is one thing I can control, that is, I still look up to God in my heart, and I still trust God, how powerful! As a result, Joseph began to work as a slave, and there was this passage of scripture.

Do you know what a captain of the guard represents? It is the head of the central security guard who protects the emperor. It is very powerful! It could not be more coincidental. Potiphar, the captain of the guard, went to buy slaves. He was picking people here and there, and he found that Joseph was worthy to be noticed, he brought him home. Joseph came close to the inner circle, he arrived at the high levels! People are often afraid of joining the wrong circles. Among us, there is a sister, she suddenly joined a wealthy family to work like a caretaker. She was in outside to work, no one wanted her despite the low payout of three to five thousand. However, with the careful training and tweaking, she was trained to become a great-worker in the human-resource training company. She worked with great attitude and in the end, she went on to work like a housekeeper. The basic salary skyrocketed and she was provided a place to live with food to eat. On top of that, she got a vehicle as well and she oversaw all the works happening in a large villa. The owner trusts her and she's in-charge of purchasing and food sourcing. You get the picture. Is there any problem joining this kind of circle?

====输出开始
Joseph got mixed up in Potiphar's house, and as a result, God was with him, and he prospered in everything. Was Joseph a very capable person? No! It was because he trusted in God, and God was with him that he became a capable person. His mind was full of inspiration; doing this was good, doing that was good. People like Joseph are all God-men. Potiphar entrusted all his household and fields to Joseph's management. You should know that when Joseph saw that the plowing tool was broken, he fixed it perfectly; when things in the house were broken, he fixed them perfectly; and when there were other slaves in the house, he fixed them, adjusting their thinking. These were all management lessons; Joseph managed people and things exceptionally well.

This Potiphar had quite the discerning eye, finding this young man elegant and handsome. The more he looked at him, the more he liked him; the more he looked at him, the more pleasing he was. If the master finds you pleasing, you are incomparable; you cannot compete! Some slaves came to Potiphar and said, Why isn't it me who is the supervisor? Potiphar said, I find you displeasing! What else could you say? I just like Joseph; there's no reasoning with it. Some people say, Teacher, why am I not the one liked by the boss in the company? Why am I always the one the boss dislikes? That's a bit interesting. If people find you annoying, isn't that troublesome? Then you're not a Joseph. Perhaps Potiphar bought several slaves, including Joseph; they all joined at the same time. Alas, some people are pleasing, and some are not. Perhaps some are Joseph, and some are not. If you are Joseph, even as a slave, you'll rise to the top; if you are not Joseph, even if you rise to the top, you'll be taken down.

Joseph became the best slave, the president of Potiphar's house, called President Joseph, incredibly powerful! Managing people and things, arranging everything properly and efficiently, made the master very happy. Except for putting food into his master's mouth, Joseph couldn't help him with eating. If Joseph said, Master, let me feed you, it wouldn't work! He had to eat it himself. Therefore, the Bible says interestingly:

> So he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. (Genesis 39:6)

This Joseph was too handsome, capable, articulate, attentive, and considerate—absolutely outstanding! He was truly Potiphar's wife's dream lover. As a result, his wife longed for him with her eyes, sending electric shocks, shocking Joseph so much that he ended up in prison. Not because he had committed a crime, but because Joseph feared God and refused to sleep with his mistress. Consequently, his mistress falsely accused him; it was a frame-up.

> And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound. (Genesis 39:20)

It's still about mixing in circles, you know. Don't get me wrong, not all circles are good. He was mixing in the circle of Qincheng Prison!

> But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. (Genesis 39:21)

Joseph became the manager of the prison. Originally, he went to jail. The prison warden saw Joseph, who was handsome and pleasing and said, You come do this job! As a result, Joseph managed it quite well. Jehovah was with him, so everything he did prospered. The warden put all the prisoners under Joseph's charge—eating, drinking, relieving themselves, sleeping, who lived in what room, what was going on—Joseph managed it all. What if there was a mafia boss in prison? God could hold him down; Joseph had the means—very powerful!

As a result, Joseph went from the best slave to the best prisoner—the best slave, becoming the slave supervisor; the best prisoner, becoming the prisoner supervisor—this time, he was powerful! So, do you think it's good to have God? It's not bad luck; it's mixing in circles. If Joseph had kept mixing in that small circle in Canaan, surrounded by Reuben, Simeon, and those people, it wouldn't have been meaningful. Could he have become a blessing to the family? No way! As a result, he mixed in this circle, and God was with him. Joseph clearly knew in his heart that God was with him.

In fact, this is worth studying—how did he become Joseph? What kind of person was he? How should we learn to be this kind of person? I tell you, encountering an injustice is beyond your control. People wrong you, so what? Narrow your eyes, pout your lips, shake your head, anger you—so what if they wrong you? Joseph didn't see it that way. His reaction to such things was extraordinary. Today, I'm giving you a very important concept: the events you encounter are beyond your control, but your reaction to those events is within your control. How do we react? Resentment, bitterness, jealousy, rivalry—aren't these corruption?

How did Joseph become a blessed person? Because in those past years, he spent all day tinkering with his father at home, and after tinkering, he gained this knowledge. It wasn't that he started learning after being sold to Egypt. Before that, during the seventeen years from childhood, he learned spiritual lessons from Jacob. He had a certain understanding of God. His behavior, his reaction to things, was based on his knowledge. So, don't be an ignorant person; ignorance leads to destruction! How can you know God without learning? How can you know what kind of person is blessed? How can you know how to react when things happen?

Therefore, Joseph's accumulation over the past seventeen years finally came into play today. During the seventeen years of knowing God, God reigns in the events he encountered: My God reigns forever! So, don't be afraid when things happen. I once lost my job, carrying a lot of mortgage debt, with no income—hardship! I trusted in God, and God led me through it, and suddenly I discovered that I was financially free—how wonderful! I'm telling you, being a pastor really requires a wealthy mentality, but this wealthy mentality must be genuine wealth; it's hard for the poor to have a wealthy mentality.

## V. Characteristic One of People with God: This Life Is Vanity

If you received a very clear teaching today, what did you learn? You learned that this life is vanity. If you learned that this life is vanity, you look down on everything; you see everything as A扁 (Ah Bian), but you yourself are not flattened. If you don't look down on it, you can't walk this path! Why look down on it? There are many benefits after looking down on it. Living two more years or two fewer years makes no difference, but many people think it's different. Use this medicine for me; it costs 100,000 to live one more year. Use it! They pay the price just to live one more year. If it's 500,000 to live two more years, use it too!

Someone among us told me a story: a couple inexplicably made a fortune in the past, but as they were managing it, the husband fell ill—quite seriously. The medical expenses used up all the money, and the illness was still not cured. The husband said, Sell our house, and buy life! The wife thought, Where will I live if the house is sold? As a result, a conflict arose between the couple. People just can't see through it. What do you do with one more year of life? Actually, it's still the same things; it's meaningless. What do you do with two more years of life? Can everyone take it in?

This life is vanity; I see through it, so I have no interest in these things. Why don't I care? When I am born and when I die are all in God's hands. What does it have to do with doctors? I don't need to put money into the hands of doctors, letting them extend my life a little. Some people extend it for many years—vegetative state. What do they do extending a vegetative state? It's meaningless! People just don't want to die. Why? People's hope is entirely in this life. If you want to be a person with God, you must have no hope in this life. Your hope is not in this life, your hope is not in living one more year or two more years; your hope is in eternity, and you will have God with you!

The path that Abraham opened up was because Abraham saw through this life. Why was Isaac willing to offer himself to God? Because he saw through this life. Why did Jacob long for God's blessing? Because he saw through this life. They were seeking a better homeland! Joseph received this set of ideas. If you also receive this set, it's amazing! You'll have God with you. Choose the path of those blessed people; choose the path of those with God. Don't take this life so seriously; it's meaningless. Some people take this life so seriously; they're exhausted!

## VI. Characteristic Two of People with God: Seek God, Know God

Did Joseph really understand from a young age? He didn't understand either. But people get used to it; they understand after seeing it enough. Living and then dying, how many people did Joseph see die? He must have seen quite a few in seventeen years. Then he began to see through this life and began to seek God, know God, and listen to stories. Whose stories? Listening to his father tell him stories, seeking the meaning of life. If you can't find the meaning of life, living is a waste! Why do we call it Mingding Destiny? Because it is the meaning of our life—serving God! Why do I serve God so tirelessly? Because it is my destiny! I was born for this, I live for this, and I die for this, so I no longer care.

If you ask me what my hobbies are, I have no hobbies. I just love to serve, just love to seek God, know God. Who is cursed? Who is blessed? Who has God's presence? Who has the presence of demons? I tell you, it's all in God's truth. In Joseph's time, there was no Genesis; there was nothing. Could he seek? He could seek! Today, with Genesis, can we seek? We can seek even more! Why can't we seek? But some people are foolish; they just don't want to seek God, know God. They always think they know God, and they know Him quite well. Do you think they can be good? Bad luck! Without looking at anything else, just looking at the unlucky situation, you know it's not good—far from it! They don't know God, nor do they know God's truth. Today, brothers and sisters, look at yourselves. Do you have God's presence? If you have the presence of demons, why? Because you seek demons all day long, know demons, and grasp this life. Read Genesis more!

## VII. Characteristic Three of People with God: No Matter What Happens, Still Believe That God Is in Control

Who directs a person's life? God directs it. Who directs the lives of those with demons? God directs it! Where do demons come from? Demons are sent by God. Joseph learned these things. In the past, he knew God, sought God, and knew that God was in control. Until today, which event is not controlled by God? Some people lose clumps of hair. Who makes them lose it? God makes them lose it. Some people get sick, growing a tumor on their spine. Who makes them get it? God makes them get it. You say God is quite bad! No, because God has already established this law in eternity. Then you deserve it! Who told you to violate this law? I think that if Joseph didn't have such a belief on the road to being sold—such a belief that no matter what happens, he still believes that God is in control—he wouldn't have been able to continue.

When I lost my job, if I didn't know that God was in control, I wouldn't have been able to continue. If I hadn't seen through the things of this life and didn't know God, I would have been at a loss when things happened! But aren't I living quite well today? I experienced cancer. Although I didn't get tested, I didn't care. But all the symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were on me. I didn't want to see a doctor; I'd rather die! Why? I see through it. I just want to know God and return to God, which is infinitely better! As a result, I didn't die; I didn't manage to breathe my last. I almost died from COVID, but I didn't kick the bucket either.

Why? I believe that my God is still in control. No matter what happens, I just trust in God. If God doesn't allow it, not a single hair will fall! Do you understand? Then what are you afraid of? God has counted our hairs; don't you know that? Therefore, people with God must have such faith. How can people live without faith? People without faith are afraid of everything, except God. Isn't this ignorance, isn't this being stupid? Seeing people without faith, I worry! They can't let go of anything, but they can let go of God. How can God be with them? Isn't that a mess? Being sold, it doesn't matter; being framed, it doesn't matter; being forgotten, it doesn't matter. Still not afraid; this is the foundation!

## VIII. Characteristic Four of People with God: Fear God

Do you know why I dare not let go of God? If I let go of God, I'm really finished! I must fear God. I dare to let go of everything, but I cannot let go of God. This is my mantra: sweat can flow, blood can flow, tears can flow, but I cannot be without God. Since I knew God, I can let go of everything, but I cannot let go of God. God's presence is my life! My Lord is my truth, way, and life. All the breath of my life depends on Him. Fearing God, I really dare not not fear Him. How could I have the courage? I've found that some people are particularly bold, particularly daring. They are afraid of everything, except God. I am not afraid of anything; I am only afraid of God. The difference is too great!

The mistress of Potiphar's house was very beautiful, with a very good figure. That kind of look, oh my goodness! But Joseph, because he feared God, didn't do such a thing. Unlike some people who like to do sneaky things, what are you doing? Really making trouble for yourself; isn't that deadly? Don't test God. You must fear God. Some people ask, Teacher, is this thing an item to be destroyed? Should I throw it away? Figure it out yourself! My life is very simple; a suitcase solves all problems. Why would I manage so many things? It's meaningless to me. I just need God's presence!

## IX. Characteristic Five of People with God: Be Grounded

There were so many things in Potiphar's house—things in the fields, things in the house, eating, drinking, relieving themselves, sleeping, etc. His household was large, with at least thirty to fifty people, as well as the guards watching the gate. He entrusted all of them to Joseph's management. Which thing can you do well if you don't understand it thoroughly before doing it? What if you can't do it? Learn! Joseph learned quickly. He had been learning since he was young; he had been tinkering with his father since he was young. He couldn't be lazy. Today, brothers and sisters must know that being grounded is a very important quality for being a person! As soon as they start, they want to get other people's money into their own pockets. They don't want to solve problems for others, annoying!

Sometimes I'm really moved. Whether a person can be grounded really determines their quality. Some people evaluate me like this: Your teacher is full of energy! It's not that I'm full of energy; there are problems everywhere. Can they be solved without energy? Whether it's a big thing or a small thing, be loyal and grounded in implementing and solving it! So I tell you, if you are faithful in other people's affairs, God will give you your own things. You must remember this sentence!

Not being lazy is very important. Joseph was busy doing things from morning till night every day. Was God with him? He was! Did he forsake God? No! He must have made time to continue praying to God, like that Daniel, still had time to be close to God even as prime minister. Some people, as they live, put God aside as soon as they have no time, giving all their time to things. That's not being grounded; that's messing around!

## X. Characteristic Six of People with God: Desire to Be a Blessing to Others

Saying it a thousand times, ten thousand times, people must have faith and have a very positive judgment about the future, believing that in the future I can definitely be a blessing to many people! Actually, I had such a desire many years ago, but I didn't dare to, it was called a luxury, but I did think about it. No matter who he is, in which church, if he needs my service, I will serve him, and after serving, I will quickly go back. Go wherever you want! Why? I just want to be a blessing to others.

If you are in our church and you need my service, that's even better. I really want to serve, it's just that I may be willing but not able. So I make training my coworkers my top priority. Why? Our Chinese Mingding Destiny just want to be a blessing to others. I don't want to be a unicorn, and I don't want to become bigger and stronger. I just want to be everyone's blessing. I really am like this. So serving to this day, being able to serve with a grounded and reverent heart, this is my destiny, this is what I was born for, what I live for, what I came into this world for, and also the purpose for which I die!

## XI. Summary

If a person can study Joseph's life thoroughly, and study the six points I have talked about thoroughly, you are amazing! You cannot be without God's presence, and you cannot fail to be successful. Only with God's presence is there success. Jehovah was with Joseph, and he prospered in everything, not 99 percent, but 100 percent! Even as a prisoner, he still prospered; as a slave, he still prospered; as a prime minister, he still prospered! How wonderful it is for God to be with people! Today, never let the management of God's presence be lost. In the midst of it all, just manage your own affairs and forget God's affairs. Can we today have the mind of Jesus Christ and take God's will as our destiny, may God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven, amen!

Let's sing a hymn, preparing to collect today's offering. If you don't understand the meaning of offering, please don't offer. Never shame God. We don't live by people's offerings; we live by God. Never think that God needs your offering to live, and never think that the church lives by your offering. It seems that way on the surface, but it's not. The church is a place for dispensing blessings, a place for you to be blessed! This time, many people who are ability-based will be released, because we are going to make a breakthrough on this, and many people who have followed the path of Jeroboam will also be released. We want to be their blessing! If you don't understand the meaning of offering, never offer. After offering, you will be cursed. I must tell you all. I don't want you to be cursed. If you want to offer, offer well. Your offering is for your blessing.

Are you willing to be a person with God? Don't just see His benefits. Start seeing what kind of person we should be to have God's presence. Raise your hands and pray: God, I long for Your presence. I long to imitate Joseph. God, I am going to declare before You that I want to be a spiritual person, see through everything, and from now on nothing can control me anymore, because You are my God, You are everything to me! I live not in hope for this life. I want to long to one day come before You and receive Your praise, to be Your faithful and kind servant!

God, I want to seek You, know You. No matter what situation I encounter, I still believe that You are in control. God, I want to fear You. With Your help, I want to be victorious over any temptation! God, I just want to do things in a grounded way. Although I am grounded, I still rely on You, rely on Your presence, rely on the wisdom You give me from heaven to do things. God, I long to receive destiny, to be a blessing to others. God, I want to offer myself as a living sacrifice. May You use me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for the kingdom, the power, and the glory are all Yours, forever and ever. Amen!
