Introduction

Good day, everyone. We continue our study of the Book of Exodus, and before we know it, we've reached Chapter 3. What is the theme of this chapter? It's not so much about the Israelites, but about Moses. The theme of this chapter is "God Will Send You to Bring the Israelites Out of Egypt." This "you" refers to each and every one of us. No matter how God calls you, chooses you, God's purpose is to send you to bring God's people out of Egypt.

"Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10)

Where does God intend to bring the Israelites? To a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. Chapter 3 speaks of a part of this, and the most important aspect of this chapter is the description of God's calling of Moses. Chapter 2 talks about "What Kind of Person, What Kind of Destiny." Many people do not know their own destiny and are eager to know what will happen to them in the future, so they like to seek fortune-telling. The phrase "What Kind of Person, What Kind of Destiny" is quite attractive! But no matter how you calculate it, you can't get to the root of it.

There are many government officials who spend their days looking at faces and telling fortunes, and in the end, they calculate themselves into prison. Why do they keep calculating? Because they don't know the future. When I say the phrase "What Kind of Person, What Kind of Destiny," many people feel discouraged. In fact, people are chosen by God from birth, but we ourselves don't know it. Many are called, but few are chosen. What is the reason for this? In fact, many people are chosen and called, but they themselves don't know it. If you really want to know if you have been chosen by God, if you really want to know what kind of person, what kind of destiny, then listen to the Bible study of Chapter 2. Chapter 2 says that many times it still depends on our own choices.

God Uses Those Who Demolish Themselves

Looking at Chapter 3, you can't see that Moses' choice is like someone with a Mingding Destiny. Can everyone read that Moses is a man with a Mingding Destiny? Chapter 3 is quite interesting. When God called Moses, he was in the wilderness tending sheep. Moses tended sheep today, tended sheep tomorrow, year after year passed, and in the blink of an eye, he had tended sheep for 40 years, to the point where Moses was left with only sighs and acceptance of fate. He didn't know that one day he would meet God.

You will find that God is very humorous, often doing things that exceed our common sense. How did Moses meet God? Moses saw a bush burning in the wilderness, and the flames were raging, but the bush was not burned. Moses didn't understand, and he didn't think that this was God at work. Do you know what Moses was thinking at this time? Moses must have been thinking: I'm finished, my life is just to tend sheep.

When Moses was a prince in Egypt, how powerful he was! He said in his heart: I am the one chosen by God, look, so many children died, only I survived. Not only can I survive, but I also became a prince in the Egyptian palace. I am proficient in all the knowledge of Egypt, and I am also the top scholar in reading. Who else but me? I am the one chosen by God! As a result, Moses began to flee after killing an Egyptian, and fled to the residence of the priest of Midian, and married the daughter of the priest of Midian as his wife.

Think about it, the priest of Midian worships those pagan gods all day long, and Moses lives in a place full of these things that should be destroyed. Moreover, Moses married into the priest of Midian's family and had no status in the family! At the beginning, he could still fight for himself, but his wife was too powerful, oppressing Moses to the point where he couldn't. At first, Moses still felt very aggrieved, but later he was oppressed to the point where he didn't even feel aggrieved. Year after year passed, ten years, twenty years passed, looking at the surrounding environment, from knowing the Mingding Destiny to accepting fate, until letting go of oneself.

When people think they are very powerful, they find that they are not; when people find that they are not very good, God lets you meet Him. This is very interesting! When God calls us and uses us, we cannot be the kind of people who have eyes on the top of their heads and noses in the air. God cannot use this kind of person. Only when you feel that you are not good, and think that this is the end of your life, then God will use you. As a result, Moses saw the burning bush, was very curious, and wanted to go over and take a look. At this time, a voice suddenly came out of the bush calling Moses.

When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. (Exodus 3:4-6)

God introduced Himself as soon as they met, and Moses' reaction was very interesting. He immediately covered his face because he was afraid to see God and felt embarrassed. If he went back 40 years, what would Moses, the prince in Egypt, have done? He might have thought that God wanted to talk to him, so he would first open the bush to see what God looked like. But the current Moses has been hit hard for 40 years and has completely lost himself, and his whole mental state is very bad.

This is very strange. When you think you are great, feel that you are very powerful, and can be called the best in the world, God cannot use you! This kind of faith is called self-confidence. God cannot use self-confident people because self-confident people do not trust God. But at this time, Moses has no confidence in himself at all. Only those who have no confidence in themselves can God use. After this kind of faith is built up, it is faith in God. God cannot use those who have great confidence in themselves; God will use those who have faith in God.

When a person finds that he is just a pile of dog shit, God can use him. If you always think you are someone, God cannot use you. Later I found out that this is really the case. Some people say: I want to help you build the church. I said: Okay! Come on! After a while, they took a group of people away. I was filled with emotion: Is this helping me build the church? This is clearly helping me cleanse the church! If a person is very self-confident and has a strong sense of self-esteem, it is difficult to use this person. Not to mention that God will not use him, even people will find it difficult to use him.

Being too confident in oneself, often saying that one's sixth sense is very accurate, is actually all from ghosts. Are there any people among us who are very confident in themselves? For example, a sister had a dream the night before, dreaming that her husband left with another woman, and when she got up in the morning, she confronted her husband. At this time, the husband was still in the dark, and the husband said: What's wrong with me? What did I do? The woman said: I dreamed last night that you left with another woman. The husband said: I didn't even enter your dream! The woman said: I'm telling you, my feelings are very accurate.

Everyone has discovered how powerful self-righteousness is! You had a dream, how would your husband know? I think, God cannot use those who are too confident in themselves, always believing in their own feelings, when will they believe in God? When God used Moses, Moses had been completely defeated by God. Remember: If God wants to use a person, He will definitely completely defeat and completely demolish this kind of self-confidence in him!

To be honest, I have walked this road before. When I felt that I was very powerful, and felt that I was the one chosen by God, and wanted to build a glorious church of God. I looked down on what others did, I was so awesome! As a result, I was severely disciplined by God, disciplined to the point where I understood that I was just a pile of dog shit. When someone glared at me, OK! Insult me, OK! Insult me if you want. Why should people respect me? What am I? I am nothing, I am just a useless servant! If everyone can understand what I am thinking, they will know that I have seen through this matter of living. Those who can't see through are very stupid.

For example, there is a family with several siblings, one of whom has never done anything in this family, and still asks others why he is not respected in this family. With your appearance, why should people respect you? Someone asked me a very interesting question. If you also fit the description, you will know that there are many people with this kind of thinking! He asked me: Teacher, I made some things for people, but they don't appreciate them at all. If it were you, would you feel uncomfortable? I said: I don't have that feeling. He said: Then why do I have that feeling, but you don't? I told him: Because when I make those things for people, I never thought about letting people appreciate me for anything. Because I know that I am just a pile of dog shit, just a useless servant, this is all I should do! I don't care how people evaluate me.

I tell you, at this time God can use you. If you do something for God and still want God to thank you, it will be difficult for God to use you. At this time, Moses had completely collapsed, feeling that he was nothing, just a life of tending sheep! He forgot that he still had to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and also felt that why should he go to see Pharaoh? I don't have the qualifications! Not to mention seeing Pharaoh, he had to bow and scrape when he went home to see his wife, and that's how it would be for the rest of his life. I'm already eighty years old, what else can I do? Besides being in good health, I can only tend sheep, so when I saw God, I covered my face. What does this mean? It means that at this time, Moses can be used by God.

At this time, Moses felt that he was just a pile of dog shit, how could he have the qualifications to see God? He used to think that he had some Mingding Destiny, but now he doesn't even have a Mingding Destiny. If you have this kind of thinking, you will not be hurt! You must know that it is difficult for people like Moses to be hurt. If you can practice to the point where you are invulnerable, you will not be able to discern good and evil. When God wants to choose a person and use a person, God does this. You slowly think about it carefully, is this the case? Some pastors walk like tycoons, feeling like a gangster boss. God finds it difficult to use this kind of person. People care too much about themselves, and God cannot use them. So God will get rid of this worldly thing.

Moses tended sheep for 40 years. When he tended sheep for the tenth year, he thought that God would definitely use me, but He didn't; in the blink of an eye, another ten years passed, and he thought that God would definitely use me, he had a lot of faith, but He still didn't; by the thirtieth year, he had already begun to lose some faith. That kind of faith that thinks he is very powerful is useless; it is only when he thinks he is nothing and can't do anything that it will be useful.

The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. (Exodus 3:7)

When you hear these words, will you have some discernment of good and evil? In fact, God had already arranged it this way! More than 500 years ago, God told Abraham that the Israelites would be slaves in Egypt for more than 400 years. God wants to build His army, not only to demolish Moses, but also to make these Israelites become selfless and completely forget themselves, then God can use them. You see, the Israelites have been slaves in Egypt for so long, and it has not destroyed their inner selves. All they care about are their own little things.

Then look at Moses, how God tells him to do it, he does it! And so many people falsely accuse, slander, and defame Moses, and he doesn't have any temper. Don't you find this very interesting? Moses is very powerful! When he was a prince in Egypt, he learned a lot of knowledge and was very knowledgeable. He tended sheep in the wilderness for 40 years, to the point where he completely lost himself. That is not letting go of oneself, but giving up oneself. What does the Bible say? Moses was very humble! Everyone must know that what is called humility is complete selflessness. It is difficult for this kind of person to be hurt.

Some of us are full of ourselves, and are hurt when someone says something. And they have no ability, are sensitive, have a strong sense of self-esteem, and have a big temper. Isn't this courting death? If you have the ability to be like Moses, a prince in Egypt, and learn all the knowledge of Egypt, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and can make an atomic bomb or something. But these people, not to mention making an atomic bomb, can't even make a tea egg. They also say that others have no love, and feel that the whole world is sorry for them. In fact, if he thinks he is just a pile of dog shit, he will think, why should people love you? Then he won't have a temper!

Moses' temper and ego were all worn away, and then God appeared to him. I will share a secret with everyone, called the dog shit secret: that is, if you think you are a dog shit, you will not be hurt. It doesn't matter if people glare at you; it doesn't matter if people don't appreciate what you have done for them; it doesn't matter if you put in effort and people still complain to you. I tell you, your life will be good, your life will become a great life.

God wants to save the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians and lead them out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. We are now saying that God wants to send us to see Pharaoh and then bring the Israelites out of Egypt. How does God send us to do this? If God wants to choose you and me, He will do a series of wonderful works on you and me long ago. If you find that your confidence in yourself has been completely defeated by God, and you no longer feel self-righteous, but just feel that you are not good, then you can be used by God. God will send you to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

If you say, I am like this, I have completely lost myself, and I feel that I can't do anything, then God will start to use you! At this time, Moses did not think that he had the ability, and felt that if he went to find Pharaoh, how could Pharaoh pay attention to him? If there are still photos left, think about it, Moses has been tending sheep in the wilderness for 40 years, and he can no longer see the appearance of a prince. All you can see is that his face is full of wrinkles, his hands are full of calluses, his clothes are ragged, and the vicissitudes of life are all written on his face. If such a person went to Egypt to see Pharaoh, not only would Pharaoh not recognize him, but even the Israelites would look down on him.

Moses did not know that God never hoped that he would dress up smartly and spiritedly to see Pharaoh, that was useless and could not be eaten. God did not expect anything from this old farmer's face, but only hoped that he could surrender, completely obey, and do whatever God said! This kind of person is powerful! Everyone should take a closer look. Since the existence of mankind, Moses and Samuel are the two most famous prophets, because they do whatever God says! I admire them so much. I also said to myself in my heart, I will believe whatever God says! I will do whatever God says! As a result, I have been doing it until today. I have driven out too many demons and beaten these demonic enemies to pieces. So the devil is most afraid of people like me. I will do whatever God says!

Someone found a little helper on our website, and he needed to solve a lot of problems. The pastor of his own church did not care about his problems at all, but only cared about building happy groups. Later, he found us here, his problems are our problems, and we just want to bring him out of the predicament. Why don't we do many things? Because God never said to do those things! There are so many demons that need to be driven out, so many diseases that need to be prayed for and healed, and so many people whose finances are being controlled and need to be released, where is there time to do happy groups? Those things are not important!

The characteristics of Moses must be inherited by you and me. We will do whatever God says, and never go against God! If God tells you to go east and you go west, if God tells you to chase dogs and you catch chickens, wouldn't it be troublesome? Why do many pastors have many difficult problems to solve? In fact, the problem is very simple, just do what God says! How can it work to go against God? God tells him to drive out demons, but he doesn't; God tells him to do something, but he doesn't do it, so how can there not be many problems? He can't drive out demons all day long, but he is very good at being driven out by demons!

God is With the Humble

Moses heard God say, "I will send you to Pharaoh!" Moses thought: I used to see Pharaoh every day, but nothing came of it! Now I have been herding sheep for 40 years. Look at my face now, I don't look like someone who can meet Pharaoh! Then God said, "You can bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt!" God wanted Moses to bring the Israelites out of Egypt and make them God's army, but without someone like Moses, the army of God could not be trained. Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"

Don't think he was just being polite. If he had said this when he was a prince, it would have been polite, but now he was speaking from the bottom of his heart. He thought: Who am I? I am just dung! I used to look forward to God using me, and I was full of confidence, but you didn't come to me. Now I feel like a pile of dung, but you come to me! Later, Moses brought the Israelites out of Egypt and managed them in the wilderness for 40 years. He finally understood God's will, so he was a humble man.

Many people think that humility means that they are no good, and God is no good either. That is not humility! True humility is that I am not good, but my God is absolutely good! Because of Moses' true humility.

God said: I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.

Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.

“Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’ The elders of Israel will listen to you.

Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’ But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him. So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go. “And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. So you will plunder the Egyptians.” (Exodus 3:12-22)

This is what God said to Moses. Moses said, "Who am I? I can't do it." But God said, "I will be with you!" God is with those who think they are not good, but think God is absolutely good. In fact, so far, Moses' concept of how powerful God is has become very vague, so he is still refusing to go in Chapter 4. Moses' character has been so completely destroyed that he has no self at all. So brothers and sisters, if you are such a person, I tell you, God will be with you! What is impossible for people, relying on God can do everything!

In fact, there are three people in the Bible who say they are extremely humble. One is Moses who says he is extremely humble; another is the Apostle Paul who says he is humble; the third person is Jesus Christ. They say they are humble, not because they pretend to be humble, but because they completely trust in God! The Apostle Paul's life of service is the same as Moses', completely without self, with only God inside!

God is calling us! If you have similar experiences to Moses: others are top students, but you are a poor student, and you have no confidence; compared to age, you are not young, and you have never had any brilliant achievements or experiences in your life, only a lot of sadness. But don't forget, God is choosing such people. Maybe you think your Mingding Destiny is like this, but who knows God is choosing those who completely trust in Him?

You may not have much confidence at first, but miracles will follow you! Because God wants to use you to bring God's people out of Egypt. Maybe not three million people, not three hundred thousand people, not thirty thousand people or three thousand people, maybe only three hundred people. Maybe not even three hundred people, thirty people, only three people. The number of people is not important, what is important is that this is our Mingding Destiny, this is our being chosen by God, being called by God, to complete God's plan for us.

So don't think that your confidence in yourself is useful, that kind of confidence is useless! Sometimes I say that it doesn't matter if you don't go to college, and many people think I'm joking. Although my education is not low, what's the use of that in serving God? I never expected it! Only when you are hit and destroyed by the environment to a certain extent, nothing works except doing according to God's word.

Sometimes I say that it is no longer I who live, but Jesus Christ who lives in me. This is why my service is so effective? Why does my service have God's manifest presence? Because I never rely on my own ability. It's not that I am an incapable person, it's because my ability is useless in serving God! The most important thing is that God wants to be with us. I fear my God, I love my God, I know I cannot be without God! I know that all my things are useless, only God's presence is useful! So my service is very effective.

In the past few years, when I thought I was very capable, God didn't use me much, because He couldn't use me. God destroyed my confidence and wiped out all my confidence. When I felt like I was just a pile of dung, God was with me. Now you see what God is doing among us, what a glorious manifestation. When I read Exodus, I can deeply feel Moses' feelings. Don't call your confidence in yourself faith in God, that thing is not very useful.

So you will find that I often show a lack of love when I serve. In fact, I am completely destroying your confidence, so the words I use are very merciless. Why? Because I deeply know that this kind of self-confidence is useless and will hinder people from entering Mingding Destiny. If you are like me, thinking that you are just a pile of dung, a useless servant, will you still be picky? No more picky! Do you still need people to thank you for doing things for others? No need! This is what we should do. Will the feeling you live out inside still be hurt? It's hard to be hurt! It is impossible for me to say that I have no temper at all, I am still dealing with it, but it is much better than before!

God wants to use you and raise you up! God has preserved your life until now! God wants to use you to see if you have become like Moses who has been herding sheep in the wilderness for 40 years? If so, God will use you! I once felt very uncomfortable and hard in my heart. A prophet laid hands on me and prophesied. He said that he saw me walking in an extremely dark tunnel, with only a small beam of light in the distance. He told me to keep walking forward, and when I walked through the dark valley, I would see the glory of God. This sentence has encouraged me until now.

I can say that when I came out, I really saw the glory of God! The me you see now is the me who has been repaired and destroyed by God over the years, completely letting go of myself, without self! I am happy! Except for worrying about God's affairs, I wish my brothers and sisters would be edified and released. As for money and other things, they have become unimportant.

Summary

I would like to quote a passage from the New Testament, written by Paul:

Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. (2 Corinthians 6:4-10)

These things don't seem important, they are not a big deal! So, when we read it, we find that Paul has completely lost himself. With God, do you still need to make a retirement plan for yourself? No need! With God, do you still need to worry about whether you have enough savings? No need! These are not important! I say this, and everyone may not be able to receive it. Only like Paul and Moses, who have seen through the affairs of a lifetime, other things become very easy.

I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:10-14)

It is normal if you are confused when you hear this, because we have not reached the height of the Apostle Paul. What the Apostle Paul pursues is not the same as what ordinary people pursue. He stands at his height and pursues these things; we stand at our height and are still worried about whether our finances will be turned around, whether our bodies are healthy, and so on. In whatever situation you are in, say whatever you say, and you don't have to pull yourself up to that height.

In the current situation, you will find that because of a group of people who love God, you will gain financial turnaround and health turnaround among us, and in the future you will become like us. You will also rejoice greatly in the Lord, and like the Apostle Paul, like Moses, like Jesus, know how to be rich and how to be humble; whether well fed or hungry; whether having plenty or lacking, you have learned the secret in any and every situation. These things are not important anymore, and you can become a mighty vessel used by God! In the future, in the presence of Jesus Christ, you cannot but receive a crown of glory!
