Introduction

Good day to all. The topic we are sharing today is: Remember Lot's wife. In fact, the topics I have been sharing recently are all meant to be a wake-up call. Why not talk about building faith? Because a false faith is useless. This topic is Remember Lot's Wife. Fortunately, these are the original words of Jesus; if I were to say them, they wouldn't be as effective.

Many years ago, I visited Israel. Of course, when you go to Israel, you must first visit the Dead Sea. When you go to the Dead Sea, you will definitely see a spectacle—pillars of salt. There are many pillars of salt around the Dead Sea, looking like human heads, bodies, and a sense of looking back. The Bible, in Genesis, also records that Lot's wife was rescued by God from Sodom. They ran and ran until they reached that place. The angels told Lot not to look back, but Lot's wife turned around and became a pillar of salt.

At that time, I stood by the Dead Sea and thought, How come there are so many pillars of salt? Did Lot have only one wife? How many wives did Lot marry? I said, God, why are there so many pillars of salt? The response God gave me was quite divine! God said, There are many who look back! There is Lot the First, Lot the Second, Lot the Third—many, many Lots. Also, there is Lot's Wife the First, Lot's Wife the Second. It turns out that there are many who look back. No wonder Jesus said, Remember Lot's Wife.

Over the years, I have kept this in my heart. You will notice a characteristic of mine: I don't look back. I rarely talk about the past; I talk about past stories. So someone told me that if a person likes to talk about a glorious past, it means that glory no longer exists, or something to that effect. So I mentioned these things to some fellow workers, and they comforted me, saying, Teacher, you don't need to worry about us. We don't have many brothers. If any of our brothers have wives, we will offend them today. Actually, I am not saying that you are Lot or that your wife is Lot's wife. I am just giving everyone a reminder. If there are any similarities, they are purely coincidental.

Later I thought about it: we may not have many husbands, but that doesn't mean we don't have many wives. We don't have many husbands who believe, but we have many wives who believe. The story of Lot's wife is even more interesting, especially since there are male Lot's wives; men who look back are no fewer than women. I really want to remind everyone to be careful and to remember Lot's wife. Later, I thought that the Lord Jesus mentioned Lot's wife not to the sisters but to a group of brothers. It turns out that there are many brothers who look back. In any case, we cannot look back on this heavenly path. Looking back is not acceptable. Looking back is very spiritual. In the spiritual realm, all stories about the spiritual realm have stories of looking back.

There is a Japanese animated film called Spirited Away, which tells the story of Chihiro running out of death and fighting alongside Haku. Someone told Chihiro not to look back, and Chihiro really escaped from death safely. Looking back is closely related to death; looking back is a path to destruction. In fact, coincidentally, not only does Japan have stories of looking back, but ancient Greek mythology also has the infatuated Orpheus. Orpheus's wife died, so he went to hell to save her. Angels had warned Orpheus not to look back, but Orpheus dragged his wife forward desperately, while his wife kept complaining behind him, so she deserved to die.

When Orpheus turned back to comfort his wife, they both perished. From one spiritual world to another; from a world of destruction to a world of life; from a world of death to a world of life—you cannot look back. Greek mythology has stories of looking back, Japan has stories of looking back, and Beijing also has them. When I was in college, there was a place nearby called Gaoliang Bridge. The legend of Gaoliang Bridge is well-known in Beijing. The chief designer of Gaoliang Bridge was Yao Guangxiao, who was Emperor Zhu Di's strategist and prime minister. Yao Guangxiao was a very powerful man, also a Taoist priest, closely related to the spiritual realm.

The Dragon King wanted to take the water of Beijing away. The Dragon King and the Dragon Queen pulled two large buckets of water and were about to leave in a carriage. If Beijing had no water, it would be troublesome. So Yao Guangxiao said to Gao Liang, Quickly ride your horse and chase the Dragon King and the Dragon Queen. Pierce the water buckets with one shot and turn around and run. No matter who calls you, don't look back. As a result, Gao Liang pierced the water buckets at once, and the water flowed out. The Dragon King and the Dragon Queen saw this and said, It's over, we can't take this water away. Then Gao Liang rode his horse and turned to run, but there was always a voice calling, Gao Liang, Gao Liang. Gao Liang heard someone calling him and forgot that Yao Guangxiao had warned him not to look back. As a result, the Dragon King and the Dragon Queen killed Gao Liang with a snap.

This is truly a matter between life and death, blessing and disaster. So the place was named Gao Liang Bridge. Later, some people changed the Liang character to the Liang character, thinking it was a Gaoliang (sorghum) growing Gaoliang Bridge! The Bible also says that the angel pulled Lot's wife's hand to run out, saying, Don't look back, God is going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. As a result, while running, she looked back and died. Many brothers and sisters do not understand why she died when she looked back. It turns out that looking back is very spiritual. In fact, God had already saved her from death, but she had a habit of looking back. I really want to save brothers and sisters from the habit of looking back. The things you look back at are terrible. Take the stories I tell as stories.

For a while, one of our sisters shared something with me. When she was in middle school, she had a very good girlfriend who committed suicide, but this sister didn't know. That night, she had a dream: she dreamed that her girlfriend would commit suicide, but she shouldn't look back. The meaning was to tell this sister, no matter who called her, don't look back. Thank God, this sister has not looked back to this day. Looking back is a spiritual matter; it concerns life and death, blessing and disaster.

Some years ago, I ministered to a person: she had a cauliflower-like tumor growing on her thigh tendons and abdomen. The water inside the tumor would rot if it touched the skin. She sent photos, and it looked scary. Many people couldn't eat after seeing it. It was quite disgusting, so we prayed with her. Two months before the tumor grew into a cauliflower, it was the size of a fist, blue and green, and often had water flowing out. We prayed with her and ministered to her. We really put in a lot of effort, wanting to pull her back from the brink of death.

We prayed with her every night, no joke, for two consecutive months. Each prayer session lasted three hours, five hours, eight hours. At that time, there were few people in the church who could be scheduled to minister, so it was tough. No matter day or night, when she was in so much pain that she howled, we would pray immediately, and she would feel better. As a result, the cauliflower shrank a lot, nearly half its size. The big cauliflower became half its size, and it looked dry. If the tumor is fresh and wet, it will grow bigger and bigger, but if it dries out, it is about to get better. So I taught her to break away from death, taught her how to live a blessed life, and taught her how to dedicate.

Just then, a fan online heard about the person I was ministering to and donated eight thousand yuan to her. After the donation, I said to her, You must take out one-tenth to donate. In fact, this eight thousand yuan was not hers, but she was so afraid of being poor that taking out one-tenth was like taking her life. Later, this sister said she wanted to leave the church. In the two months before she left, we never stopped praying for her for a day. On the day she left the church, we had arranged to minister to her, but we couldn't find her no matter how we tried to contact her. That was the only night we didn't pray with her. The next day was Sunday. At eight o'clock in the morning, I called her mother. Her mother said, She passed away at five o'clock in the morning. I felt cold inside. No joke, where are you going when you look back? The things I experienced were shocking. Brothers and sisters, you must know that looking back concerns life and death, blessing and disaster.

Two years ago, I also ministered to a cancer patient who was also obsessed with money when she got a little better. I thought she loved money so much, so I would give her some to make her love money less, but I couldn't stop her. When she died, her eyes couldn't be closed, she died with regrets. Looking back is a dead end, foolish! Brothers and sisters, if you were me, breaking away from death is just a step away, between life and death. Once you look back, you will be captured. So the saying Remember Lot's wife that I speak of is a word of warning, hoping that brothers and sisters will look back less.

The looking back I talk about is because people have a complete, very reasonable, self-justifying system inside. Some people want to look back because they have formed a backward-looking, very reasonable, and destructive system inside them for a long time.

When I was doing business management before, I knew half a year in advance when someone wanted to resign because it would show in their behavior. If they wanted to resign, they would have been thinking about finding a job six months earlier. If someone wants to leave the church, you should know about it three to five months in advance because a pattern of reaction has formed, and there is a backward-looking logic inside. There are too many stories to tell. Many people have experienced God's grace and God's power, then forsake God and crucify Jesus Christ again. If you read Hebrews, you will find that it is impossible to renew them to repentance.

Having experienced God's power, yet forsaking God, how can they come back? And it is not up to you because the devil has completely controlled you. It is difficult to turn back. After forsaking God, they comfort themselves: I still have a Mingding Destiny. Later, when I researched the Bible, I used the term: birdman. Actually, it is not just birdman, but a backward-looking birdman. On the road of following Jesus, on this heavenly road, corpses are scattered everywhere, and there are backward-looking birds everywhere. No wonder the Lord Jesus earnestly reminds us: Remember Lot's wife. But the question is: Did Lot's wife kill someone? No. Did she steal or dog? No. Did she commit adultery? No. It was just one look back.

In fact, Lot's wife was a very capable woman. Sodom was a very adulterous environment, but she educated her children well: no premarital sex, no premarital relationships. The children were well-educated, the level of business was very high, and the moral level was also very high. Not only that, but Lot's wife also supported her husband and raised her children, and built houses; she was a good wife and a good mother! She also helped Lot receive angels. How did she die with one look back? The problem lies in the foundation; her foundation was living life. Buying and selling, planting and building, marrying and giving in marriage—these are some things of the world.

When Lot's wife looked back, she suddenly turned into a pillar of salt. It is very likely that she did not understand why she died until she died. I love the Lord, I love my family, I love my husband, and I am very responsible, but the tragedy lies here. In fact, I also think she managed well, but she thought of herself as this: I am no worse than Abraham. She just hoped that her family could have a good life. She also saw through life from an early age like Abraham. Like someone said, He also saw through life from an early age like me, but once you touch his money and things, his face changes.

Lot's wife just turned her head, isn't that normal? I tell you, Lot's wife is definitely not a bad person, and that is the root of the problem. Today many Christians can be called models of morality, but they are still Lot's wives. Everything revolves around wanting to live a good life. Testimonies are about children's good grades; testimonies are about children's good health; testimonies are about buying property; testimonies are about high investment returns—all these things. It is still a fundamental problem: many Christians are Lot's wives. If there were few, Jesus would not have mentioned this. Today, ask yourself, what is inside you? Is it Lot's wife's set of things, or are you truly willing to follow Jesus on this Mingding Destiny path?

Scripture

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lot’s wife! (Luke 17:26-32)

Prayer

God, give us an alert heart, let us be illuminated by your words. Utterly cleanse the Lot's wife logical system within us, and let us come out of this habit of looking back, never looking back as we run this heavenly road. God, let us be alert and pray, lest we enter into temptation. God, open our minds so that we fear your name, can hear your words, and follow you closely on the road of following you. In the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Scripture Background

The background of this scripture is very interesting. Not long ago, we examined the scriptures in Luke chapter 17, and we examined them very well. If you are willing, you can listen to the recording of Luke chapter 17. This chapter begins by saying that these disciples said to the Lord Jesus, Increase our faith. As a result, the Lord Jesus said:

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. (Luke 17:6)

Jesus did not answer. Later, he said that faith is our responsibility. We are useless servants. What we have done is what we should have done, that is, faith is what we should do. The logic of what to believe is very important. Some Christians believe in living life, and some Christians believe in receiving honor, glory, and imperishable blessing in Jesus Christ.

Then came the ten lepers, and Jesus healed them. It was very miraculous. Leprosy is very disgusting. Can you go to a restaurant to eat? Can not. Can you enter people's villages? Can not! Leprosy is contagious and is not allowed. Later, only one returned to follow Jesus, and he was a Samaritan. Jesus said, Where are the others? They all went to live their lives. Think about it! After suffering leprosy for so many years, they suddenly recovered: Oh! I want to eat Din Tai Fung's steamed buns. Oh! I want to eat Mala Xiang Guo (Spicy Pot)! Their minds are filled with these things. Only one returned to follow Jesus.

Few people who have received God's grace are willing to return to follow Jesus. As a result, the coming of the kingdom of God was mentioned, which was first proposed by a group of Pharisees. Jesus said, The kingdom of God is in people's hearts. The choices in your heart determine your life and death! Nine of the ten lepers went back to live their lives. What was the result? What happened later was very straightforward: they perished. Later, it was mentioned that the days will come when the day the Son of Man comes will be like the days of Lot and Noah. Buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, planting and building.

Then he talked about when the Son of Man is revealed, if you are on the housetop with belongings inside, don't go down to get them. No matter whether the utensils are gold, silver, copper, or iron, don't go down to get them. If you are in the field, don't go home. Even the most precious things in your home, such as a 64-core high-energy computer, display screen, and graphics card, don't go back to get them no matter how precious they are. When the Son of Man appears, you must remember Lot's wife. If you come back to get them, you will become a pillar of salt. When the Lord Jesus appears, it depends on your creation. Looking around, how many pillars of salt will there be? There will definitely be many at that time.

Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. (Luke 17:33)

Later, Jesus said something very interesting:

“Where, Lord?” they asked. Jesus replied, “Where there is a corpse, there the vultures will gather.” (Luke 17:37)

Many people examine this scripture and do not explain it well. Where are the dead? In fact, a person who lives life is a dead person who has perished. Don't think you are a living person. A person who lives life is a dead person who has been sentenced to death, only delayed a little time. A dead person, not a living person with a spirit, the devil will definitely follow you, and the vultures will gather there. Where there is a corpse, the vultures will gather there.

What happened to Lot's wife? When she looked back, not only did she come out of Sodom, but there were many spiritual things around Lot's wife. I guess there must have been Old Horses. As soon as she looked back, Old Horse grabbed Lot's wife's spirit and immediately turned her body into a pillar of salt. We live in a very spiritual world. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Whether you are a living person or a dead person depends entirely on the choices in your heart. Dedicating your life to God, to Jesus, and following him without looking back is a fatal matter! This is the background of this scripture. Lot's Wife's Thoughts: Just Getting By

Brothers and sisters, making a living is not a sin, but all the thoughts in Lot's wife's heart were about just getting by. This is something to ponder. Are you someone who is just getting by? If you are, that is not a sin. Buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, planting and building; if there's a daughter in the family and you want to find her a good catch, that's not a sin either. But the problem is, this is not the foundation of life!

Back when Lot separated from Abraham, it wasn't for any other reason than that Lot's wife and Lot were very unhappy living in tents with Abraham. Looking around, the sanitation in Sodom was so good. Following this old man, running around all over the place, putting up tents and taking them down all day long; the livestock made them stink; no shower room to take a bath; no restroom to go to the toilet, it was very hard. Can we go to Sodom? The sanitation facilities are so good! The city construction and urban planning are so good! As a result, Lot's wife kept whispering in Lot's ear.

Actually, the herdsmen of Lot and the herdsmen of Abraham quarreled, and aren't the quarrels of those below caused by those above? We are all Chinese, and we all know this kind of thing. If Lot really wanted to solve this problem, wouldn't it be very simple? Call the servants over and tell them to stop quarreling and it would be over. Later, Abraham saw that this was a couple who purely loved the world, so he thought, don't follow me. I'll send you away! If you go east, I'll go west; if you go south, I'll go north; if you go left, I'll go right; wherever you go, I'll go in the opposite direction. You choose first, I'll take the loss; I don't want to be with people like you.

In fact, building a church really requires this kind of conviction. You can't keep people like this when building a church. Can people like Lot not corrupt things? Causing chaos all day long. They want to just get by in life. Abraham, old man, you want to pursue your Mingding Destiny, then go ahead and pursue it! Your heavenly path is not the same as the path of just getting by! Later, God really gave Lot a lesson: Chedorlaomer was a very powerful king at the time. He plundered the city of Sodom, defeating the king of Sodom. Lot and his wife were captured and taken away like slaves. All their property was taken away, and they would be slaves for the rest of their lives.

Did Lot and Lot's wife pray? Absolutely. They had seen Abraham pray with their own eyes, how could they not? After praying, Abraham really came to save him. When he was rescued, he said, Thank God, thank the Lord, you sent Abraham to save me, I can finally go back to just getting by. After thinking about it, he went back to Sodom to just get by, and no one could stop him. If you have experienced a disaster, shouldn't you be sobered up? This is no good! I can finally just get by again, I thank God that I can still just get by. There are quite a few Christians like this today, teaching their children well, keeping themselves pure, all for the sake of just getting by; investing and managing finances for what? For the sake of just getting by. Maintaining a spiritual pursuit, having very high moral standards.

They seem quite spiritual on the surface, but in their bones, they are still just getting by. Even now, many Christians oppose homosexuality. Why do you oppose that? Because they are afraid that the land will be defiled, affecting their ability to just get by. Their prayers are for their lives, their families. They focus on these things, for the sake of just getting by. Christians develop many good fathers, good mothers, good children, all with the goal of just getting by. I also find it very strange and need to think about whether I am Lot's wife.

Brothers and sisters, Jesus mentioned Remember Lot's wife to sound an alarm for us! Actually, when did Jesus teach these things in the Bible? Very rarely. Many sisters in the church, I ask them why they go to church? Because there are many brothers in that church, to see if they can find a good catch. She wants to find a brother who believes in the Lord and loves the Lord, but after finding him, she can't allow him to love the Lord, only allow him to love her. Marriage and love are these marrying and giving in marriage, planting and building, buying and selling, what else is that but just getting by?

In the days when the Lord comes, people will be just getting by like this. As a result, fire suddenly comes down, water comes, and everything is gone. So, we need to be vigilant. In the early days, there were several sisters who came among us. Do you know why? They came to find brothers. Those who were short had no chance; those who were tall and handsome were spotted from afar.

Later, these sisters saw that the good catches already had owners. That didn't matter, if they couldn't find a golden catch, they'd find a silver one, if they couldn't find a silver one, they'd find a bronze one. One girl's mother called me: Pastor, what about so-and-so brother? Is his income high? It turned out they were all doing this. Terrible! The golden catch had an owner, and the girl broke down. I still have to serve, and it's very uncomfortable. Actually, what am I serving Lot's wife for!

For a while, one of the brothers among us took a very beautiful photo, wearing a suit and leather shoes, sitting in a chair, with one hand holding his chin, posing in a deeply thoughtful manner. Actually, the information he posted on Weibo was all golden sentences from my sermons. As a result, a mother and her daughter came all the way by plane and found our church to attend the gathering. During the gathering, their eyes never left this brother from beginning to end, they felt they had finally set their sights on him, amazing!

Not just one! There was another mother who simply called me directly, asking how this brother was, saying that she had been pastored through his Weibo for a long time, but actually, his Weibo was all copied from me. The first time they met, she spoke in an extremely unsophisticated way: If we have children, my mother won't take care of them for us. Talking about having children at the first meeting, that's crazy! We hear these things and they become jokes.

The church often becomes a place of marrying and giving in marriage, buying and selling, planting and building, where does the Mingding Destiny come from! Their Mingding Destiny is family, is just getting by. Compared to just getting by, when we see the glory of God, everything becomes dim; for them, as soon as they see a good catch, everything becomes dim. For Lot's wife, compared to just getting by, what does Mingding Destiny mean? Everything, even the glory of God, becomes dim.

In Lot's wife's eyes, everything was for the sake of just getting by. Abraham sent them away, but everyone must know that it was Abraham who proposed it. That was a different Mingding Destiny, a different pursuit. They were for just getting by, Abraham was for walking a heavenly path, pursuing the glory, honor, and imperishable blessings! Work and business were not important to Abraham. When Lot's wife saw that everything she had worked for was about to be completely wiped out, all her hopes, everything she relied on, her life's investment, her life's savings, all the meaning of her life was gone. She was not reconciled! After all the hard work she had put in, how would she live the rest of her days? So she chose to turn back, completely forgetting what the angel had told her.

The angel grabbed Lot's wife with one hand and Lot with the other, pulling them forward, but Lot's wife was half-pushed and half-dragged forward. This road is not easy, how difficult is the road to survival! How difficult is the road of Mingding Destiny and life! Once just getting by becomes a person's pursuit, everything becomes dim. How many attachments are there in a person's heart! We should not believe in the Lord like Lot's wife, that's called a bird that turns back. Even if God wants to save you, it can't stop you from turning back to destruction! Start removing this habit of turning back, the foundation of the habit is called just getting by. Are we still people who are just getting by? It's not that I don't want you to have a good life, but that is definitely not the foundation of life.

If you are a person who is just getting by, you are probably a person who turns back. When the time comes, you will definitely be confused, at the critical moment—the day when the Lord Jesus appears, you should be confused, because those are the things you value.

Rebuilding the Foundation - Our Mingding Destiny

In Luke 9:62:

Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)

Why did He say that? Some people say, Lord Jesus, I want to follow you,

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” (Matthew 8:20)

Jesus said, “Follow me,” and that person said:

“Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” (Matthew 8:21)

Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” (Luke 9:61)

Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)

It sounds like it's unreasonable, but this is God's requirement. What do you value? Burying your father? Or saying goodbye to your own family? How are you going to say goodbye? Your family will think you're going to become a monk. So we need to rebuild the foundation. If a person puts his hand to the plow and looks back, he is not worthy to enter the kingdom of God. Remember! If you turn back after leaving Egypt, you will die in the wilderness, these are matters of life and death, blessings and curses.

If you turn back after leaving Sodom, you will become a pillar of salt; this turning back is a very profound knowledge. Now I will talk about another kind of turning back. Lot left Sodom and became penniless. Why didn't he return to Abraham? Abraham had plenty of cattle, sheep, food, and drink. Why didn't Lot go back? If he said, Uncle, I'm embarrassed, I offended you and God when I left. Now I'm coming back to you, just treat me as a hired worker, and I'll just work for you, that would be the end of it.

Wouldn't Abraham put good clothes on him, like the prodigal son returning, and slaughter cattle and sheep to entertain him? I think he definitely would. But why didn't he go back? Because Lot didn't want to walk the path of Abraham at all in his heart! Lot thought in his heart: My foundation is just getting by, if these things are gone, then let's drink! Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die. So brothers and sisters, what is your foundation?

The foundation of a person's life is no small matter, brothers and sisters, can you wake up when you hear me speak? Break this old foundation, the foundation of just getting by again. After breaking it, rebuild it on the truth of Jesus Christ, not building the truth of God on the old foundation of just getting by, but breaking those old things, breaking the system of just getting by, and rebuilding it on the truth of Jesus Christ, laying down life, not living to live, remembering Lot's wife, that is a fundamental problem.

There was a sister who had never been capable, she was a lawyer, over forty years old, and the work she did was not even as good as that of a recent college graduate, her ability was very poor. On the surface, she loved the Lord very much, and she used to preach in the local church, her ability was so poor that she didn't even have the qualifications to love the world. Later, after we came into contact with her, we constantly trained her. While training her, she said, When will I be as clear-headed as the pastor? I said, What are you going to do when you're clear-headed? Love the world? That's very dangerous. Later, her ability was built up day by day. Some time ago, she went to court, made a lot of preparations, and wrote more than ten pages. She thought in her heart, I must prepare like the pastor. The clerk in the court said to her, You've prepared so well, I've never seen anyone as serious as you.

After being praised, she was extremely happy. What's there to be happy about, isn't it just this little thing about living? On the contrary, she put aside the ministry we had arranged for her. In the end, her pastor told her that this was not okay! She said a sentence, This is called loving the world! Then she realized it. After six or seven years, she has only recently changed. She said that she used to see people with a net worth of more than ten million, with two children, a good wife, and a good family, and she was very envious, but now she is not so envious. It's just just getting by, when the Lord Jesus comes, all these things will become nothing.

There was another brother who was thinking about finding a girlfriend all day long. We wanted to push him into Mingding Destiny, but it was too difficult. Some people have more and more problems as they just get by! Some people can just get by very well, some people just get by not well. But, whether you just get by well or not, that thing is not the foundation of a person's life, there are too many things we need to tear down. Originally among us, we told him a lot about having Mingding Destiny, but in his heart, he was thinking about finding a partner. I said, Have Mingding Destiny, have Mingding Destiny, he said, Find a partner, find a partner. That's how it is, how can we solve the problem! What exactly is the foundation? The foundation is still Lot's foundation, start completely breaking these things. What's the use of this thing? It's of no use at all.

I see that many Christians need to rebuild their foundation, why? Because they bring their families to believe in the Lord in the hope of having a good life; they bring their families to believe in the Lord to be blessed in the hope of having a good life; they bring their families to pray in the hope of having a good life. Some time ago, a businessman in Zhengzhou committed suicide by burning charcoal. Why did he commit suicide? As soon as he opened a store, he encountered the pandemic, and before the pandemic was over, he encountered the Zhengzhou flood and was flooded. All the money he had earned in the past was washed away, and as a result, he committed suicide by burning charcoal. Why? That was the purpose of his life, the hope of his life, everything he relied on to survive.

A few years ago, I also ministered to a young man who was cheated out of 500,000 and wanted to jump off a building. I said, Are you only worth 500,000? That's too cheap! Then make it more expensive! It's not too late for people to cheat you out of 30 million. Why did Qu Yuan commit suicide? Because his job was gone, just because King Huai of Chu didn't listen to him, his job was gone, so he jumped into the river and committed suicide. Of course, you may put some gold on him and say he has a more noble goal. But the ultimate foundation is still living, still these days, your job, your business, your family, all these things. The question is, is this the foundation of living? If you really believe in the vanity of vanities, then rethink, rebuild the foundation, and restore the Mingding Destiny inside us, that is, to follow Jesus and recognize this road, never to turn back.

There was a person, and I later changed his nickname to Dede, this person's original name was Peter. This Peter is very interesting, from the time he followed Jesus, he catered to people's wishes, and in fact, he never changed in later days, he still catered to people's wishes. You must be careful about the things Peter says. Peter believed that Lot was a righteous man. But is Lot a righteous man? I haven't found it anywhere else in the Bible, the Old Testament prophets didn't say that Lot was a righteous man, Jesus didn't say that Lot was a righteous man, only Peter said that Lot was a righteous man. I don't know how he became a righteous man.

I am talking about the foundation inside Peter and Lot. Peter was the first person called by God to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. When he was with the Gentiles, as soon as he saw the Pharisaic Christians who came from James, he began to pretend. How did he become pretending? There were many strange things inside him. For example, these words he said, his wife is weaker than him and shares the grace of life with him, what does that mean? I can't understand it, is it that he and his wife are weak together? His wife still hopes that he can be a little stronger?

Brothers among us must know that if your wife is very weak, and you become weak with her, and you build the spiritual standards of your family on the standards of your wife, especially a person like Lot's wife, then how can you be strong? In fact, a person's family is not important, the house of God, the church of God is the focus. Later, this Peter took his wife everywhere all day long, as if he was going everywhere to minister. But in many things he said, there were spiritual parts and parts about just getting by, the parts about just getting by are not the foundation! Peter and Lot both lost the purpose for which God called them. Did Lot lose Mingding Destiny? He lost it. Until there was no way for Abraham to send him away, they were not the same kind of people.

God called Peter to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, but it became the work of the Apostle Paul, and the Apostle Paul didn't think much of Peter, and in the Book of Galatians, he revealed his bottom line, did he lose Mingding Destiny?
