【Bible Study】Isaiah 63-64 - God's Wrath is God's Salvation

2019-11-08 33,877 Isaiah Faith Promise Salvation Destiny Wrath Petty Comforts

Wrath and Redemption

Many are perplexed, unaware that God's wrath is also His salvation. They have always imagined God to be a benevolent Santa Claus. Today, we often see God manifesting His wrath. God intends to demonstrate His wrath upon those nations. Why? Because He desires them to spread the Gospel, yet they have become like Esau, content with a life devoid of Mingding Destiny. How many churches today proclaim the liberation of captive souls and the transformation of lives? Many appear to be churches, yet they are not. Can God not be wrathful? Only wrath can turn these people back to Him.

Do you truly know God today? How God despises those who lead trivial lives. Why does God detest Edom? Edom is Esau, who, despite being the firstborn, forfeited his Mingding Destiny. Jacob, the younger son, obtained the Mingding Destiny. How many Esaus, content with trivial lives, are there in Christianity? How does God treat them? It is not about gloating over their misfortunes, but about valuing our Mingding Destiny. I long for the church to be transformed. Why do we publish books? Because these books can carry the pure Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Why are vengeance and redemption placed together? Because vengeance is redemption, and redemption is vengeance. Many brothers and sisters say, He is doing well. When God tramples upon you, see if you still feel well. Returning to Singapore, I suddenly felt the weight of small living, feeling uneasy until I fervently prayed for release and found joy. Life without Mingding Destiny is truly hard, filled with inner turmoil. Esau represents those who lose their Mingding Destiny and settle for a trivial existence.

I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm achieved salvation for me, and my wrath sustained me. I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured out their blood on the ground. (Isaiah 63:5-6)

An entire place filled with people leading trivial lives—can it not invite God's wrath? What kind of person do you choose to be? If you act like them, God will trample upon you likewise. This is God's salvation, clearly stating that such people will be trampled.

Nothing Can Be Exchanged for Mingding Destiny

There was a sister, once a leader among us, who left to pursue a life of triviality. Many, in fact, drift into such an existence, becoming like Esau. Conversely, Jacob obtained his Mingding Destiny.

I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us—yes, the abundant goodness to the house of Israel, which he has granted them according to his compassion and many kindnesses. He said, “Surely they are my people, children who will be true to me”; and so he became their Savior. In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. (Isaiah 63:7-9)

The choice is yours: be Israelites and receive abundant grace, with God bearing all your difficulties with you. The Israelites suffer for their Mingding Destiny. Jacob deceived to gain the blessing, went to his uncle's house alone, enduring hardship, earning nothing for fourteen years but gaining two wives. Yet, willing to pay the price for his Mingding Destiny, he felt it was all worthwhile. God was with them, God with Jacob, with Joseph. This is what a true Christian must experience: paying a steep price for their Mingding Destiny. No one can stop me; anyone who tries will be left behind. Do not think that losing Mingding Destiny can be compensated by anything; nothing can replace it. Lot, losing his Mingding Destiny, was destroyed; Esau, losing his Mingding Destiny, became a cursed example. When does the Bible say family comes first? The Bible says we are willing to give everything for God. If you lose your Mingding Destiny and head towards hell, will God not trample you? That is salvation. Many brothers and sisters among us are blind, thinking that a life of triviality is good. Do you truly know what God is like? I am deeply moved that some people only see life. When God's foot descends, how will they live then? Start choosing to be Israel, and God will shower abundant grace. Israel and Jacob are God's people; others are God's enemies.

In all their affliction, God was with them—that is someone with Mingding Destiny. Am I persecuted? I am persecuted severely, paying a heavy price for my Mingding Destiny, but no one can stop me. Never think that losing Mingding Destiny can be replaced with something else. Lot and Esau, losing their Mingding Destiny, became cursed examples.

Today, many call for putting family first. But I want to tell everyone not to put family first. The Bible never says this. You must understand that our worldly concepts are the concepts dooming us to curse. I want to emulate Jacob, not Esau.

Their trivial lives on earth may seem good, but are they really? Is there Mingding Destiny? Do they truly know what kind of God He is? We must begin to turn back to God. As long as you repent and choose to be Israel, our God has abundant mercy. The New Testament's Book of Romans also writes this way. There are not only God's people but also God's enemies. Even God's people can be rebellious, and God will attack such people. That is our God.

Many are personally attacked by God, but they do not know it, thinking they are enduring. Only repentance and taking on Mingding Destiny is key. When people live trivial lives, God will personally attack them. They cannot see God's power, cannot see God, cannot see God's glory, and want to build their own eternal name. Where is that God? God's grace and love are gone, only God's attack remains.

If we lose our Mingding Destiny, all we see are attacks. We cannot see God's glory, God's zeal, and His mighty acts. The New Testament says the gospel is the power of God, but where are the miracles? Many churches say God no longer performs miracles. The other day, someone said, I only believe in doctors, not God. Yet they claim to be of God's party. We must begin to learn to believe, even if no one else believes; we must believe that God is our Father.

We begin to cry out, May you rend the heavens and come down, restoring your glory in the church. We must cry out for God's kingdom to come, for God's mighty salvation to descend. If we cannot see God's miraculous acts, we must have made a mistake. If the church we build is different from what Paul built, we must have made a mistake. Once we fall into a desolate state, we cannot see God's glory.

Striving to Grasp God

And there is none who calls upon your name, who rouses himself to take hold of you. (Isaiah 64:7)

God is a God who hears prayer. We must emulate Jacob Israel, desperately grasping God's promises. God earnestly desires us to strive to seize Him. God deeply desires us to be like Jacob, striving to hold onto Him. Just as He did for Jacob, He accomplishes the impossible for us, transforming our lives. God wants us to be transformed. God reversed Jacob's birth order. If even birth order can be reversed, what else cannot be? Unfortunately, few have faith like Jacob. We must be those who call upon God. As long as we turn back, the desolate situation will pass. We must continue to run forward in faith. At this time, God's glory will descend. We must believe that God is a mighty Savior, speaking with righteousness. We must make a choice, not to live a small life. If you are Esau, you will get the winepress. If you are Israel, you will receive rich glory. If you want to live a small life, you will find it difficult to live well. But if we strive to seize God for His sake, then ultimately, we will gain both the small life and the great life.

Many years ago, the church was truly desolate. Looking around, I saw few decent Christians, mostly those looking for romantic partners, houses, jobs... all for living a small life. Did this solve the problems? No, it created more problems. In the Bible, I rarely see Paul praying for a job or buying a house because they did not have such problems. Paul strived to grasp God, and God was with them. Any problems were easily solved.

Paul was the person God was looking for. I earnestly hope that brothers and sisters have such a character, striving to seize God, not giving up until they obtain blessings and destiny. Sometimes I serve very tired. When I am sleepy, I wake up and continue; when I am tired, I rest and come back, never giving up. Today, I also shared with someone that in 2009, during a very difficult time, I told God that I wanted to close the church. God did not respond whether I could close it. God said, I have given you what I gave Paul. I only wanted Paul's gifts but did not want Paul's suffering. But now it seems that our way of slaying demons is very similar to Paul's ministry. We desperately call upon God, and God reveals His glory among us. At that time, the church was desolate. The situation was terrible:

Your holy cities have become a desert; Zion is a desert, Jerusalem a desolation. Our holy and beautiful temple, where our fathers praised you, has been burned with fire, and all that was once dear to us has become a ruin. After all this, O Lord, will you hold yourself back? Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure? (Isaiah 64:10-12)

At that time, I cried out to God in my heart, weeping, praying, and calling out, hoping that God's glory would descend upon us. I said, God, we are clay, and you are the potter. We are all the work of your hands. May you accomplish your work in us! I thank God that the days of the desolation of God's temple have passed, precisely because of our striving to call out. God is a faithful God. Our God is a God who grants us grace according to His rich grace and mercy. God saves with His mighty arm. This is our God.

Initially, I did not know how to build a church, but brothers and sisters, now we can tell people: the church must be built in this way, built with an uncompromising heart. We must become a blessing to many people and many churches!

Do Not Deviate from God's Way

You have listened to many online recordings, but today I want to pull you to Isaiah 63 and 64. Tell me what kind of mercy God has. God has no mercy on those like Esau who live a small life. That is salvation. Do not offend God no matter who you offend. The words in the Bible are written clearly. God is not Santa Claus. If you think God is Santa Claus, it is very dangerous. Many people think God is Santa Claus, so they think everything is OK. But if you read the Bible, you will know that if you act like Esau, you are acting as an enemy of God. God will only express fierce anger and pour out their blood on the ground. But if you enter into Abraham's Mingding Destiny in faith, you will receive grace.

God wants to restore His truth in this generation. Many theories turn God into Santa Claus, or add arbitrarily, saying whatever they want. But if you look at the New and Old Testaments, you will see that God is a God who both gives blessings and brings disasters. Whoever adds to or subtracts from the Bible, God will add disasters to these people:

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

This is the gospel. This is the God we believe in. Do not joke with God. Restore our destiny, knowing what life is all about is key. God wants to do wonderful things among us. When you serve God with your life and obtain your destiny, you may wonder: will I still be able to live my life? I guarantee you: your life can still be lived. If you believe in something without any biblical basis, do not blame me for not telling you that your life will definitely be desolate.

Why are those temples of God desolate? It is because people did not do according to God's word. We do as the Bible says. Do we still need Greek or Hebrew? It does not matter whether it is Greek or Hebrew, nor do we need to quibble over words. The Bible is written clearly.

God does not care about the temple built by Solomon at all. And the temple built by Solomon was personally destroyed by God because they deviated from God's way. God hates people who abandon His way. God is our greatest doctor, and God is also a rich rewarder. God wants to bless His people. We must begin to build God's glorious church, take on God's mission, and cause God to send His mission among us.
