Today's Topic: Eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil Will Surely Die!

Today, I want to share with you my findings on the knowledge of good and evil. The church must constantly lead everyone to know God, to know His Word. God's words are not for us to argue whether they are right or wrong, but for us to diligently observe and obey! This is the foundation of our church: read God's Word and then put it into practice!

I have observed that some people are joyful, while others are not. Some people live well, while others do not. Later, I discovered that the key lies in this knowledge of good and evil. Look at those who are very concerned about right and wrong, those who have strong likes and dislikes, those who are narrow-minded – they all live more painfully. Those who are not so concerned about right and wrong, who are not so full of likes and dislikes, who are broad-minded, live better lives!

Let me give you an example: There was a sister among us whom I served. She came to the church last year, but left not long after because she believed that what the Bible said was wrong and that her own theories were right. A few months ago, she came back because her company gave her a warning letter, saying that they would give her 60 more days. When she came back, she kept talking about how her superiors in the company were doing her wrong. As a result, she was in great pain. She firmly believed that she was not wrong. I spent a lot of effort to pull her out of the knowledge of good and evil. Fortunately, after being freed from the knowledge of good and evil for a period of time, we also cast out many demons from her. Thank God, her relationship with her boss improved greatly. Once it improved, she forgot about the previous problems and went back to living according to her own theories of the knowledge of good and evil. She also stopped coming to church. As a result, she has now been fired by the company! The company is still very humane, but the management feels that her mind is broken and her thinking is strange. Knowing good and evil, distinguishing right from wrong, makes it impossible to do good work!

When we serve people in the church, we must never know good and evil. There was a sister who was counseling a couple over the phone. I heard her say, You two are both wrong. As a result, the wife grabbed the phone and said loudly, I'm not wrong! Whether serving or being served, whether in work or in life, following right and wrong, following the knowledge of good and evil, is very painful!

The degree of a person's joy is related to the degree of their abandonment of the knowledge of good and evil. The degree of a person's pain is also related to the degree of their knowledge of good and evil! You can make an observation! In this world, some people are in pain, and some people are joyful. Some people who should be in pain are not in pain, while some who should not be in pain are in pain!

I have a classmate who lost his mother when he was 8 years old, and his father married a stepmother. But this classmate was able to get along very well with his stepmother. Although the stepmother often quarreled with his father, this child was able to come forward to mediate their relationship. I think she knew from a young age that knowing good and evil was not the way to go! But some people cannot get along with their own mothers, always remembering those bad experiences, and are very painful. Joyful or not, painful or not – it depends on one's own choice. Choosing to know good and evil makes it impossible to live well. That is not the way of life! Especially judging right and wrong according to one's own standards is very unreliable.

The Bible strives to create a clear picture of who is blessed, who lives out God's glory, and who lives well! The Bible also strives to create a clear path: which path is the blessed path of life, and which path is the cursed path of death! The choice is up to you! Insisting that you are right is of no use. Insisting that the Bible is right and shaping our inner logic system according to the Bible is the way of life! Knowledge of good and evil: it looks good, but eating it will surely die!

Scripture: Genesis 2:15-17, Genesis 3:4-7

Gen 2:15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. Gen 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; Gen 2:17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Gen 3:4 “You will not certainly die,” the snake said to the woman. Gen 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Gen 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

God Said: Eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil Will Surely Die!

The things recorded in the Bible often contradict our ideas. Take the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, for example. God said, Do not eat this fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat it, you will surely die! If you said, This is a poisonous mushroom, it is toxic, do not eat it, we can understand. God had to create one that looked good. I think the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil must be quite special and quite beautiful! The name is also good, knowledge of good and evil. Why not call it something else? Calling it knowledge of good and evil is clearly attracting people to eat it! You should have made this fruit ugly, so disgusting to look at that no one would want to eat it!

Originally, what looks good is not necessarily good! What has a good name is not necessarily good! On the contrary, what looks good, is pleasing to the eye, has a name that sounds very good, and makes people wise, able to know good and evil, is very dangerous. People are fooled and deceived because of things that look good and sound good! But the result is death! All deceptive things are like this! Things that look bad and sound bad should not be able to deceive people!

The problem is not just that. Eve ate it and did not immediately roll her eyes and die! In fact, she lived for many years! She ate it and was fine, so Adam ate it! As a result, we have the sin-filled world of today! The beautiful world was ruined by Adam's one sin, the devil entered the world, the devil entered people's hearts, and the devil began to reign in people's lives.

Today, we must gain a revelation: the devil deceives us through things that seem very right and sound very good! Originally, that was just bait. Of course, the bait is packaged very perfectly! This is why God does not allow us to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

If God had created fruits that were killing fruits, immoral fruits, corrupt fruits, stealing fruits, I think Adam and Eve would have been very clear and should not have been fooled!

The devil's trick – is like this. Which person who is deceived by the devil does not have what he considers to be a very legitimate reason? Which person does not feel that he has no problem at all at the time?

Brothers and sisters, never rely on your own wisdom and intelligence, and always use God's Word as our guiding principle! In the beginning, Adam and Eve did not believe in God, but believed in their own vision and judgment, believing the devil's lies, resulting in sin. We must learn to believe in God and rely on God's Word in everything!

This world has a characteristic: what looks good and sounds good is not the root! The root is that the result of living it out is good! If you know good and evil and live very painfully, feeling that the whole world is letting you down, the result is a painful life. What is the benefit of that? Even if you are all right, so what?

So what is the root of our human existence? The root is our inner feelings! Feeling pain is a painful life, feeling joy is a joyful life. In fact, the root of our existence is not who is right and who is wrong, but who is joyful! Originally, what God prepared for us was joy and peace!

This is exactly what Jesus said, What I give you is what the world cannot give you! I leave you peace and joy! That is so well said!

The Foundation of Life Lies in Peace and Joy!

The foundation of life lies in the feelings within us!

What God bestows is truly wondrous! I often minister to those in despair, leading them to be filled with the Holy Spirit. As a result, though the circumstances remain unchanged and the problems persist, people unexpectedly find joy! They come in dejection and leave with joy! I myself enjoy this kind of ministry! I increasingly feel that the foundation of life is the peace and joy within us! This world is a world of discerning good and evil, but we live in the Kingdom of God. We are not concerned with right and wrong, but with the peace and joy within us!

God is our peace, God is our joy, God is our provision, God is our victory! When the Spirit of God enters us, beautiful feelings accompany us!

Brothers and sisters, you must know for certain how important joy is!

We are most joyful when we serve God, most joyful when we fervently love the Lord! We are most joyful when we pray with passion! We are most joyful when we take on a mission! Indeed, we may get tired, we may become weary, we may pay a price for serving, but we are joyful啊! That is the most important thing!

When we do not dwell on right and wrong and are willing to forgive, we are joyful!

When we discern good and evil, we are in pain! When we judge, we are in pain! When we lose faith and hope, we are most in pain! When we lose our mission, we are most in pain! When we dwell on right and wrong, unwilling to forgive, unwilling to let go, we are in pain.

The great figures of faith recorded in the Bible are all joyful! They never dwell on right and wrong! They all depart from the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil!

The effect of our whole life lies in the feelings in our hearts! Feelings are very important! Therefore, guard your heart with all diligence, for from it spring the issues of life! We do not obey our feelings, but manage our feelings! Obeying the concepts of right and wrong within us, obeying that kind of feeling, is death!

Forgiveness is grace – it feels comfortable!

Love, giving, – is not about right or wrong; relying on right and wrong will not raise a child well.

It is more blessed to give than to receive – joy!

Joy is a feeling – do not let the discernment of good and evil steal your feeling.

The Degree of Pain Depends on the Degree of Discerning Good and Evil!

I am telling you the results of my research and observation! The most painful people in the world are those who believe they are right and everyone else is wrong! The more one insists on the path of discerning good and evil, the more pain one experiences.

When you see a painful person, inside them is surely the discernment of good and evil.

Cain was the most painful – Lamech was even more painful.

Pain – feelings of fear, feelings of shame, bad feelings all come.

The habit of blaming others comes! – The more one blames others, the more pain one experiences!

Cain – angry – thought it was others' fault. God did not accept my offering because of Abel!

Cain, when there was no one else in the world, felt that someone was going to kill him! What a strange feeling! Later, God had mercy on Cain and put a mark on him. Later I discovered that the mark was God's mercy on Cain, a way to treat his mental illness! Feelings are actually an illusion.

The intensity of discerning good and evil determines a person's feelings.

Human nature – discerning good and evil.

Making people painful is the devil's most cunning trick!

Medical research has found that many people who get cancer are the result of mental pain and repression. Pain, pain, they die in one lifetime! They die in pain! How tragic!

The Devil's Trick to Manipulate People is to Lead Them into Discerning Good and Evil

I have found that everyone's standard of right and wrong is different. It's like the saying: Each person has their own reasons! Actually, they are all their own reasons! When a woman is a daughter-in-law – she has the standards of a daughter-in-law; later when she becomes a mother-in-law, she changes her standards without even knowing it! Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationships are difficult to handle – why? Two women discerning good and evil, two very persistent women, two women who are easily deceived and manipulated by the devil!

The devil does not need to say, You are in pain, you are in pain! It only needs to bring you into discerning good and evil, and that is enough. People can create pain for themselves there! If people are not painful enough, it will further distort your standards of discerning good and evil, making people even more painful!

Childhood injuries – all are the roots of discerning good and evil.

Eyes are opened – seeing bad things clearly!

Could be used for food, pleasing to the eye, desirable for gaining wisdom.

The Root of Humanity's Problems is Discerning Good and Evil

Why get cancer? – Discerning good and evil.

Why struggle? – Discerning good and evil.

Why were there the First and Second World Wars, with so many deaths? – Discerning good and evil! Everyone thought they were right!

Why is it that the more developed the material world, the more diseases there are? There were not so many people in hospitals before; now hospitals are overflowing! – Discerning good and evil!

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Cancer patients – stingy, concerned about some things, dwelling on small things, concerned about right and wrong.

Syrian War – a concentrated manifestation of right and wrong.

There is no war that is not because of right and wrong.

Hitler – was actually able to convince all Germans to kill!

Cultural Revolution – persecuting those old cadres; at that time, no one thought they were wrong! Everyone thought that was revolution! They thought that those being revolutionized were counter-revolutionaries. Today, when we see it, we find it incredible.

How easily people are fooled and deceived!

Before a war, a rally – to rally people – all are manipulation, playing with right and wrong!

Brothers and sisters, read the Word of God more; God has made all this clear and told us! Do not be self-righteous!

The Question of Discerning Good and Evil Lies in Whose Standard: Man's or God's?

Discerning good and evil is not the problem; the problem is the standard is wrong! People use their own standards, sometimes distorted standards.

Solve problems according to God's standard!

The most powerful thing about women is relying on feelings. But those feelings almost all come from the flesh. Feelings are carnal. Because there are her own standards of right and wrong within.

Human nature itself – is discerning good and evil. According to one's own standards. How can people have these things even before they have learned anything from childhood? The devil put them in!

Systematically Read the Bible, Understand God's Standard!

In 2016, everyone must study the Bible, learn, not just listen! Learn, think, study, and organize it. Agree, and establish a system.

If your system does not come from the Bible revealed by God, be careful, you are about to be deceived by the devil!

The Way of Life

Know that God is alive, know that God is in control of our lives. Learn to commit.

Have a deeper understanding of discerning good and evil.

Learn to Completely Trust God, That is the Way of Life!

Why did Adam and Eve eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil at that time? They did not believe God's word!

It started with not believing in God. Doubting God. Doubt – how could this be? How could one tree be left that cannot be eaten? Strange, there must be some reason.

How to build people's faith? – Believe in God, curses come from God. Do not believe in your own standards, believe in God's word.

The fear of the Lord is wisdom, intelligence. Learn to let go of yourself.

Believe: Vengeance is mine, I will repay!
