Foreword

Today, we delve into the Book of Numbers. Why a general overview? I believe a key concept when reading the Bible, or any book for that matter, is that complete understanding isn't a prerequisite. Not recognizing certain words or comprehending every sentence shouldn't hinder grasping the core theme. Avoid fixating on areas of confusion. The same applies to healing and deliverance. Some brethren, when asked about their progress after prayer, might say, Not yet. Asked how much better they feel, they respond, Much better, yet emphasize the not yet due to incomplete healing. This prevalent mindset is detrimental.

When reading the Bible, focus on the central theme of each chapter. Once grasped, the entire book becomes clearer. What is Numbers about? It fundamentally argues that acquiring one's Mingding Destiny is what truly matters. But what does Mingding Destiny entail? It means serving God. Serving God equates to liberating the captive and freeing the oppressed.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. (Isaiah 61:1)

The root cause of all human problems lies in demonic oppression. Our ministry of healing and deliverance inherently carries a strong sense of Mingding Destiny. We elevate healing and deliverance to the level of Mingding Destiny, the very heart of God. Each brother and sister among us can participate in healing and deliverance. Even a thirteen- or fourteen-year-old girl in our community sees great results when praying for others. What is our purpose in believing? To gain freedom. Freedom is non-negotiable. We are unfree because of demonic oppression, making healing and deliverance vital.

Why did Jesus consistently train his disciples in healing, deliverance, and casting out demons? Because it is of utmost importance. Healing and deliverance are inextricably linked to the Kingdom of God. Service means setting people free, and Jesus Christ has set an excellent example. Let God's Kingdom come, restoring His authority on earth. Victory through battle is essential to obtaining promises, and after obtaining them, it's imperative to continue liberating the captive and freeing the oppressed. Obtaining promises and embracing the Gospel of Grace, these are byproducts of the Kingdom of God's arrival. Establishing God's army is crucial for the Kingdom of God to descend, striking at the enemy of demons.

Mingding Destiny is Fundamental

Acquiring Mingding Destiny means engaging in battle with the devil. Numbers begins by counting the number of men in each tribe fit for war. God's intention is for us to be counted. As Christians, we must grow up, not remain infantile, but mature into individuals capable of engaging in spiritual warfare. Those unfit for battle are not counted, which is why I call us an elite force church – capable not only of fighting but also of returning alive after the battle.

After the eleven tribes were counted and sent to war, a crucial tribe - the Levites and descendants of Aaron played a critical role. The essence of warfare is spiritual. While eleven tribes waged physical battles, the Levites and priests engaged in spiritual warfare. The eleven tribes appeared to be fighting physically, but in reality, they were drawing upon God's promises of victory. Focusing on spiritual matters is key for the church. Establishing the church must include establishing a church of prayer, spiritual warfare, and victory.

In the spiritual realm, prayer, warfare, and victory lead to victory in earthly battles. That's why the eleven tribes went to war while the priests offered sacrifices behind them. This captures Mingding Destiny, which is a matter of responsibility.

Each tribe's camp location represented their responsibility, as instructed by God. Each of the twelve tribes camp locations represented have different responsibilities, The Levites, the priests, the eleven tribes – each had their distinct responsibilities.

Wherever we are positioned, responsibility is required. One must clarify their responsibilities before engaging in battle. Christians must have a strong church-based outlook. Some attend meetings in many churches, which is tiresome, instead of settling down and contributing. To fight victoriously, we must know our responsibilities and commit ourselves.

Mingding Destiny is fundamental, it's each one's responsibility. God's plan is for His glory to fill the entire earth. God is undertaking a great cause. The first generation of Israelites who left Egypt lost sight of their Mingding Destiny and died in the wilderness.

Grumblers and Rebels Cannot Enter Mingding Destiny

Grumblers cannot enter Mingding Destiny. Why did the first generation of Israelites die in the wilderness? Because they grumbled. They complained to God about the lack of food and water, the difficulty of the journey, and the fear of battle, hindering their ability to enter Mingding Destiny. They feared fighting the Canaanites, so they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. When that generation died, God raised another capable of bearing the Mingding Destiny. This well-trained generation of Israelites went in to strike the enemy of demons and inherit the land.

Rebellious people cannot enter Mingding Destiny. One cannot enter Mingding Destiny without submission to and honoring authority. Authority is non-negotiable. Responsibility is responsibility, and one mustn't do what they shouldn't, nor act in God's place.

Even high-ranking figures like Aaron grumbled, questioning Moses' authority in secret. Did Miriam question whether Jehovah was not also with Moses? Moses's wife was largely rebellious. Although she and her children went with the Exodus, she did not participate in the crossing of the Red Sea with Moses. Moses never wrote about his wife somehow left him and her children and went back to Midian. Later Moses's father-in-law brought back Moses's wife and children back to him. In those lines, it is unclear of how much Moses's wife respected Moses. She missed one of the most important things, crossing the Red Sea.

Even with such a wife, Miriam and Aaron should not have gossiped, because it was an issue about authority. This afflicted Miriam with leprosy and rebuked Aaron. Moses did marry a young Midianite woman, which was inappropriate, but Miriam and Aaron had no right to criticize. God disciplined them, because authority is non-negotiable.

Disciplining Moses was God's responsibility, not Miriam and Aaron's. Our church places a high value on authority and the issue of rebellion. If one is a cell group leader, you shouldn't interfere with your district pastor. The district pastor can't interfere the pastor. Cell group members shouldn't interfere with cell group leaders. It's against reason, prompting God's judgment on Miriam and Aaron. Mid-level leaders also committed many outrageous acts, such as Korah's rebellion, which God severely punished by causing the earth to open up and swallow them alive into hell.

An army cannot fight if it is disunited, has unclear responsibilities, grumbles, and fears battle and hardship. An army focused on pleasure-seeking does not please God. Someone who only knows how to eat, drink, and have fun is like Old Horse, who is friends with the world. If you love the world, like to have fun, eat, and drink, you may lack Mingding Destiny. If one is a Christian, one must pursue it and be a Mingding Destiny Christian or you can't even be a passable one. It requires sacrifices, and any violation of commands results in punishment, regardless of rank. Obedience is paramount. There's a reason why all those who died in the Exodus generation, they were those who: one, loved the world. Two, were rebellious. Third, committed sexual immorality.

Sexually immoral actions resulted in the deaths of many Israelites. Ultimately, those who did not escape Egypt were because of those three things.

A new batch of Christians will be a blessing to this generation, capable of liberating more souls under dominion. We must be able to engage in spiritual warfare, rejecting rebellion, love of the world, sexual immorality, and grumbling. We've recently been battling an evil spirit called Old Horse, which is powerful, confusing, and corrupting. Some might say Moses changed the method and switched a budding scepter to Aaron!

We won't delve into that perspective now. We can't investigate events from thousands of years ago. We don't know when the scepter was switched, or other shenanigans. But this is what the Bible says, and we follow it, not historical inquiry! Aaron's staff did bud, which made everyone else learn to submit. Obeying God was plainly starting to reveal itself to the People of Israel. For the forty years they were wandering during the Exodus and in the desert, the Isrealites learned this most important lesson: God requires people to respect their authority.

Even if Moses or Aaron erred, God would not. If a pastor in a church makes a mistake, God won't. We must fulfill our own responsibilities on our own posts. This is key to fulfilling and entering Mingding Destiny. If an army fights victoriously, every soldier benefits and receives spoils. If an army engages in infighting, rebellion, grumbling, and fails to fight victoriously, what good is it?

If an army lacks unity, clarity of responsibility, grumbles, craves food and pleasure, fears battle and hardship, it cannot uphold Mingding Destiny. What does a person who indulges in eating, drinking, and pleasure-seeking gain? If God has mercy, He disciplines them. If not, they continue to indulge in pleasure. Befriending the spirit of Old Horse means befriending the world.

Moses had commanded that one should not do labor of their own on the Sabbath. That is the day to worship God. But there was this one person. He might have valid reasoning and said it was because that his kids was so little or because it was especially freezing, so that he went out to get that firewood. By doing this, he could help the family warm up a little. However valid the reasonable justification could be, those who do not keep the Sabbath belongs to the camp of of God-hating, Exodus Israelites. This meant those cannot be the ones that God planned to have those who at the top and not at the bottom. Neither would they be the head and not the tail. Not only so, they are not the ones whom God had intended to set the captives free, and set the down trodden free. Not these very ones intended with such great Mingding Destiny. It is now a waste of life, and very consequently been killed by God deep in the wilderness.

There are many accounts in the Bible's Book of Numbers where God killed many, anywhere between thousands and ten thousands. Live with no Mingding Destiny and live poorly. Be those Christians who are truly equipped with Mingding Destiny or you're not even equipped in God's Mingding Destiny. If you can't become a Christian with the intended Mingding Destiny, there is just no meaning to be alive! How much does our church pray today? A lot! There are prayers in the morning and evening. Some time ago, during the New Year and the Lantern Festival after the Spring Festival, we prayed in shifts for three consecutive days, and many people were delivered! Recently, I have heard many brothers and sisters share news of their deliverance. One sister, after spiritual warfare, experienced great victory. This sister had a very bad temper and later developed mental illness. Then her mother sought help from mediums and temples everywhere, but the mediums she found ran away as soon as they saw her. The mediums all said that what was inside her was bigger than them. It turned out that what was inside this sister was very large. Later, another medium came to see her, and this sister's family had invited more than a hundred idols. But it still didn't help!

Miraculously, one day this sister found me, and I eliminated the demons inside her one by one! No matter how big the demons inside her are, in our church, which is victorious in prayer warfare, she will surely be delivered! The previous rounds of long prayers were very victorious.

There was also a sister whose facial skin was strange, her nerves were stiff, her eyelids were drooping, and one eye was blind. She would often leave me messages online. After a period of prayer warfare, her eyelids improved, her facial skin improved, and her eyes began to see some shadows! How did her blindness come about? Her blindness was actually caused by stimulation. One day she was severely stimulated by a matter related to marriage. She immediately became angry, and her eyes went blind instantly! That was when she was young, and it has been like that until today! Now she is in her fifties.

We thank God that offering sacrifices and prayers will bring freedom to those who are captive and liberty to those who are oppressed. Today we can declare: This is the day we avenge ourselves on the devil, our enemy. It is clearly recorded in the Book of Numbers that the opportunity for revenge came when Balaam used deception. That was when the old generation of Israelites lost their destiny! They lost their destiny and were miserably afflicted by evil spirits. Today, as we read the Book of Numbers, we will find that these stories revolve around one thing: God has a beautiful purpose for us. From a human perspective, some of it is bloody. But this battle represents the spiritual warfare. It cannot be viewed with human morality, but must be viewed with God's will. If you look at it according to God's will, you will find that these things are not difficult to understand. This is the day we avenge ourselves on the devil, our enemy, and the devil must pay the price. We must obtain the spoils of war.

In Numbers chapter 31, many spoils of war were obtained. Hundreds of thousands of sheep were captured, more than one can imagine.
