【Sermon】Open the Windows of Heavenly Blessings (3) - Keep God's Commandments in Your Heart

2018-10-14 9,471 Open the Windows of Heavenly Blessings Series

Some among us are truly poor. I take courage to break the curse of poverty upon them, for poverty stems from a curse. In the past, when I was exasperated, I would say, You have dung in your brain. Some said such language was unrefined, but later I discovered that God said something similar in Malachi:

I will rebuke your descendants, and spread dung on your faces, the dung from your festival sacrifices, and you will be taken away with it. (Malachi 2:3)

Commandments, commandments, not taking the commandments to heart is a deadly matter. If you take the commandments to heart, it opens the windows of blessing from heaven. The two sisters who testified earlier were truly poor before. I often wondered, God, when will their financial situation turn around? I must convey God's commandments to them, to completely remove that spirit of lack and stinginess. Otherwise, God will throw dung on your face.

Do not be stressed by my words, but by all means, break free from the curse. If you seek, you must do so with a serious heart. Nothing can be done casually. If you build a house without care, it will collapse. If you build a plane without care, it will not fly. If you write code without care, it will not run. We must learn to have a clear understanding of God. God either bestows blessings or brings disaster, both come from God. I long for everyone among us to open the windows of blessing from heaven, and for the poor to be transformed by this sermon.

When speaking about Esau and Jacob, I truly hope the brothers and sisters have the character of Jacob. I also truly hope the brothers and sisters know that sacrifices must be pleasing to God. The brothers and sisters who come among us are blessed because we boldly encourage them to make sacrifices pleasing to God.

Scripture

And now this admonition is for you, O priests. If you do not listen, and if you do not set your heart to honour my name, says the Lord Almighty, I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not set your heart to honour me. Because of you I will rebuke your descendants; I will spread on your faces the dung from your festival sacrifices, and you will be carried off with it. (Malachi 2:1-3)

Prayer

Lord Jesus, may you engrave your laws, statutes, and ordinances on our new hearts, that our minds may remember your words, and that we may carefully observe and obey them. Help us remove the bondage and thoughts of poverty. You are a God of abundance, break every thought and mindset of poverty within us, so that we may all know that everything we use comes from you. Remove our curses today. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Ten Commandments: The Minimum Standard

God often says in the Bible that we must carefully observe and obey God's laws, statutes, and commandments, which, in short, are all God's words. Commandments are the minimum requirement. If you fall below this commandment, you will immediately be cursed. In the Old Testament, there were two stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments. Later, I discovered that the curse of poverty is closely related to the Ten Commandments.

You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour. You shall not covet your neighbour’s house. You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour. (Exodus 20:3-17)

Reading the Ten Commandments is very beneficial. The Ten Commandments are closely related to curses. Commandments are the bottom line and must be taken to heart. If you covet another person's house, another person's wife, servants, oxen, or donkeys, as long as you covet what belongs to others, even if that other person is your parent, you will be cursed. Anyone who violates the Ten Commandments lives directly under a curse. Your poverty and disease are because you have violated the commandments and are under a curse. Therefore, many people come among us seeking help, and the first thing they must do is repent.

One of our brothers had an uncle who insisted on coveting his mother's house, fighting over the house. He did not get the house but contracted cancer and died. If you have a severe and prolonged illness, you must repent and take the Ten Commandments to heart. In the past, we did not know, so it might be excused. But if you know and still deliberately violate them, then it is troublesome. This is not only for you but also for myself. Repentance brings blessings, and repentance is not shameful. Do not continue to live in sin or continue to live under a curse.

If a person is poor, they will have a very strong spirit of poverty. If we are poor, we must destroy the spirit of poverty within us. This spirit of poverty is truly deadly. Commandments refer to commands that cannot be violated. Without fear, without repentance, constantly re-crucifying the Lord Jesus, how can one escape God's judgment? If you do not understand, it is still acceptable, but if you understand, how can you remain under a curse?

Many of our offerings are the beginning of blessings! Do not be ignorant, God is not to be mocked. We must completely reject anything that falls below the Ten Commandments and not covet what does not belong to you. A few days ago, one of our sisters saw others earning a lot of money and felt envious and had strange feelings. When I heard the conversation between her pastor and her, I was struck by how important it is not to be ignorant, lest God throw dung on your face. If you have a love for the world in your heart, the love for God is truly not in you.

When I first believed in the Lord, there was a young pastor who was very fond of cars. His child was only a few months old. I attended his funeral. He drove his beloved car and crashed under a water sprinkler truck, and the family of three died on the spot. At that time, I told myself to only learn to love God and not to love this world. Not long after, another person I knew who loved cars very much had a car accident with his whole family, and the car was destroyed and everyone was killed. Truly, do not love the world! 《Deuteronomy》 is written for Christians. Do not violate God's word! Because we must learn to love the Lord my God with all our heart and with all our strength.

I also have a friend whose father was a pastor, but his father sat in a wheelchair for many years. This friend of mine was dirt poor. I asked, God, why is this? Why are those who serve you so cursed? Because they were very close to me, I knew what they were thinking in their hearts. If a person violates the Ten Commandments, he will surely be cursed.

Among us, we must honour our parents, so that our days may be long in the land. Do not think that the Ten Commandments are only in the Old Testament. The requirements of the New Testament are even higher: you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your strength, and with all your mind.

Deliver the word of God, keep the commandments in your heart, and know the principles of blessing and curse. People can know God through us. Brothers and sisters, have a clear understanding of the word of God. Do not be ignorant, and do not forsake the covenant of God.

The mission God gives us is to deliver the word of God, and this is our Mingding Destiny. If we do not keep His way, like the priests of Israel who dared not teach the word of God, we will be cursed.

Someone sent me a message saying, Obedience is not blind obedience. Obedience is obedience to the word of God, the highest form of obedience. I have not hesitated to say anything that is beneficial to everyone. These words are not pleasant to hear, but they are very edifying. Recently, when I led healing and deliverance, many people were healed because they all began to repent one by one. I will not pick out pleasant things to say, and I will not hesitate to speak out, because to do so is to be cursed.

I once ministered to a person who was paralyzed in bed when I went to see him. I prayed for him for more than three hours, and he could get up and walk. Then he said, Our pastor is not like you. You speak too harshly. I was taken aback. Where are the people who speak nicely? Did those who speak nicely care that you were paralyzed in bed? God will smear dung on the faces of those who only say what people like to hear.

There are still many poor people among us, not because they do not love God, but because there are still many wrong ideas in them. If the sacrifice offered is Cain's sacrifice, God will not accept it.

David in the Old Testament 《Bible》 had to offer until it hurt in his heart to be counted. He was serious. An old widow gave all that she had. She was not foolish. She had been giving like this for many years, because she had survived because of God.

In this life, be sure to understand that you must keep the commandments of God in your heart. Every time I sin, and every time I do not sin, I remember the commandments of God. Sometimes I am really weak. It is okay. I will come before God to repent, resist and resist again, and live by the word of God. In your heart, and in your mouth, God will become your strength to deal with the worldly thoughts in you. There are many people who do not love God, but live very well, and your heart will be deceived. But know that they are they, and we are we. We must choose to love God in our hearts. Loving God is key.

Loving God is Key

Love is the key to solving problems. When I see some brothers and sisters who are not very smart and flexible, but I see in them that they have a heart that loves God, I see God enabling them to do things. Not many are noble, not many are powerful, but God makes them noble, makes them powerful, and puts to shame those who are noble and powerful in the world.

The two greatest commandments that the Lord Jesus gave us are to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is to turn complex things into very simple things. This is very powerful! To keep the commandments in your heart is to keep the love of God in your heart. With all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, give as much as you have. In God's eyes, it is all with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength.

God gives more, and He will require more. If He gives you two thousand, you must earn two thousand. If He gives you five thousand, you must earn five thousand. If you are not very noble or powerful, it does not matter. You can choose to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength, and this can open the windows of blessing in heaven. When you love God, you will not find gatherings tedious or pastoral care a burden. You can keep the commandments in your heart. You will have a fear of God. The law of God will be in your mouth. You will be a noble vessel, and you will turn many people back to God. Today, if you live in poverty and you love God, God will open the windows of blessing in heaven and pour out blessings on you.

One of our sisters was abandoned by her parents at birth. It was really tragic, and she was very inferior. Later, she was adopted by her adoptive father, who raised her. When I ministered to her, there was still a lot of knowledge of good and evil in her, and her headaches were very severe. In the process of constant prayer, pus came out of her head every time. She could not compete in background or ability. She had no education or connections. But God turned her situation around because she began to change the thoughts of poverty inside and began to observe God's statutes, ordinances, and commandments.

I really hope to put the commandments of God in the hearts of the brothers and sisters, and our good is not apart from God. How important it is to build a victorious church and to shepherd. Pay the price, pass on the word of God, and transform people's lives. Love God, and everything will become simple.

We can open the windows of blessing in heaven, let the blessings of God pour down, and let everyone live in blessing. Today, we must completely remove idols. Do not live for work, family, or children. You came into this world to live for God. Let us all our lives fear God alone, be messengers of God, and fear God well, and bless this generation. Amen!
