God's Will is for Man to Live Out God's Likeness

Greetings! We will be discussing the first lecture of Genesis Chapter 1. I want you all to embrace a new concept, that Genesis is very important. Genesis is the beginning of the world, and also the beginning of man's creation. Genesis is the beginning, and Revelation is the end. Our Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega. What does this mean? He is the beginning and the end. Genesis is the foundation of the entire Bible. You might say: This is just the Old Testament, it's not the same when you add the New Testament. This concept is not quite right, because you think that the God in the Old Testament and the God in the New Testament are different Gods, but I believe that the God in Genesis and the God in the New Testament are the same God, and this God has never changed.

God is not like the Roman Empire, where someone usurped the throne while in power; not like the Persian Empire, where someone else usurped the throne while in power, and dynasties changed, the Ming Dynasty replaced the Qing Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty replaced the Song Dynasty, etc. God doesn't operate like that. It's not like the Liu family's reign later became the Zhou family's reign, the Zhou family's reign became the Zhao family's reign, and the Zhao family's reign became the Zhu family's reign; it's not like that at all. Our God has never changed from beginning to end, so reading Genesis immediately pulls us back into God's heart.

Let's listen to the first chapter of Genesis over and over again. Which sentence grabs your heart the most? Which sentence has nothing to do with your life? Every sentence has something to do with you! That's incredible. No matter how lousy you live, whether you live right or wrong, can we understand God's will? What is God's will for you? This is the most important thing! We are discussing the first lecture of Genesis Chapter 1. Chapter 1 may take several lectures, because it is so important. Genesis is the foundation of the entire Bible; the first eleven chapters of Genesis are the foundation of the entire Genesis; the first three chapters of Genesis are the foundation of the first eleven chapters; the first chapter of Genesis is the foundation of the first three chapters. So the first chapter of Genesis is very important, you can never read it enough, because it contains God's great plan.

Let's ask ourselves, after reading this chapter, do you know God's will for you? That is, God has a great plan for you. I say this to you because you are a person. If you were a donkey, wouldn't that be like playing the lute to a donkey? If you were an ox, wouldn't that be like playing the lute to an ox? I know you can't do it, and God knows you can't do it, so don't be discouraged. Didn't God have Jesus nailed to the cross to accomplish a great salvation? This salvation is God's power. So what is God's will?

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:26-28)

You are to manage the donkeys, oxen, and horses, not for the donkeys to manage you. Don't get it backwards. Originally, this was God's will for us. God's will for us is so good! Not to live like that lousy person or that old woman, but to live like God. God's will is too important! This will is that we must live out God's likeness. But people often live out the likeness of a demon, isn't that strange? Why do people live out the likeness of a demon? Because when they speak, they are like a demon, when they do things, they are like a demon; God does everything successfully, but you can't do anything; God sees everything as good, but you see everything as negative; when God opens his mouth to speak, things are accomplished, but when you open your mouth to speak, things are ruined.

In the past, when I was pastoring in the church, I found that some people, whichever company hired them, that company would have bad luck. After ruining one company, they found another job. Heavens! This is really bad luck! Some people succeed because of Xiao He, and fail because of Xiao He; but for these people, success is not their part, but failure is definitely their part. If a company hires such a person, wouldn't that be terrible? Thank God! Have you grasped God's good will? Or you might say: Does this really happen? Why does this happen? Don't you want good things, but insist on bad things? So we are discussing the first lecture of Genesis Chapter 1, the theme is "May God's Will Be Done." We often pray:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' for the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)

We often pray like this, but we don't know what we are praying for. If it doesn't go through your brain, that won't do. In the past, when I read the first chapter of Genesis, I only knew that God created the heavens and the earth, and then it was over. But that's not the case at all! You must know for sure that God has a good will for you. If you can't live out God's likeness today, never give up, hold on tightly to God's hand. If you can't hold on to God's hand, I will tie you to the wings of the plane, tie you to the wheels of the car, no matter what, I will bring you into God's kingdom.

I give you this sure hope, it doesn't matter if you are in a bad mood today, it will definitely get better tomorrow. Because you can't do it on your own, and I know you can't do it, so don't push yourself. Because it's not that you can do it yourself, but that God can make you do it. I wish God's good will be accomplished in you. God's original will was that God created a beautiful image for man, that is, created a prince and a princess. God created a very honorable image for man, don't let this image be lost!

Man cannot accomplish anything without God, but as long as he is connected to God, he can. As long as you know that you can't do it, but if you think you can do it, then you will be completely finished. Because in the past few years, you have been relying on yourself, haven't you failed to accomplish anything? I am now teaching you that people should not be stubborn, because I know that many people often argue with themselves and with others.

One of our pastors shared his pastoral experience with me. He said: Look! You didn't do this with wisdom. The person replied: Yes, I am foolish. The pastor said again: You didn't do this right. The person said again: I didn't do this right, but I did another thing right! Then he said: How can you pastor me like this? How can you speak to me so loudly? Can your attitude be better? Don't speak so loudly! When I heard this, I said: Why are people like this? Then let's just reverse it, you come and pastor our pastor!

So I tell everyone: Don't argue with your pastor as soon as something happens, and don't get angry at every turn. I summarized it in Chinese terms, which is to look at the mother when buying a horse, which means: to look at you, you have to look at your mother. If your mother is like this, you will be like that. If your mother is a argumentative person, you will be an argumentative person's daughter, and you will argue as soon as something happens. People really have to take their parents as a mirror, and don't have your parents' bad habits as soon as something happens. Learn to live well in God's will and let go of yourself. Only by letting go of yourself can you restore God's glorious image. Don't be self-righteous, man can't do anything without God, trusting in God is God's will.

God's Will Concerns Man's Days on Earth

Today, Christian faith has many wrong teachings about what God's will is, and as soon as something happens, it's about going to heaven. After carefully reading Genesis, I found that God's will is on earth. When God created man, he created man on earth, not in heaven.

God didn't let you go to heaven to manage. The Christians I meet say they will go to heaven when they die. But when I look at him, I think to myself: May God have mercy! If heaven is full of people like him, then I really don't want to go to heaven. In fact, after reading Genesis, I found that God's will is for people to manage things on earth. The things in heaven are managed by God, so Chinese Mingding Destiny is to correct many wrong Christian teachings and logic. God's will is not for you to go to heaven to manage, because God originally created Adam and Eve, and they were all created in God's image. After God created them, he told them to manage the garden well, so God's will is for people to manage things on earth well. If you can do it, that's great.

Many Christians can't even manage things on earth well, and they still want to manage things in heaven, so we say: God is the God of the living! But many Christians treat God as the God of the dead. Don't treat trusting in God as something that happens after death. It's more important when people are alive, because God is the God of the living. As for where people go after they die, it depends on what you look like when you are alive. If you look like a bird when you are alive, then you will go to the birds; if you look like a bear when you are alive, then you will go to the bears. This sentence is absolutely reasonable and has a biblical basis, because in Genesis Chapter 5, there is mention of Enoch, who had God's glorious image, and later God took the person who had His image to heaven. So what your end will be depends on what you live like on earth.

Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. (Genesis 5:24)

Everyone should know that God's will is on earth, not where you go after you die. It's useless to just shout Hallelujah all day long when you are not living well on earth. I don't know why the entire Christian community only shouts Hallelujah, and then they can't do anything at work in the company, and they ruin the company as soon as they do something, but they get excited when they come to church. Their eyes light up, they shout Hallelujah loudly, and when they stand on the stage to sing worship, they say: Enter the chorus! They wave their fingers and live like God on the stage, looking so handsome. But when they get off the stage, they live like a demon, how can that work! So people must live in God's will, and God's will is for us to manage on earth and for us to prosper.

God's will is on earth, this is very important. God is the God of the living, not the God of the dead. As long as you are still alive, God is your God. Don't think that if you are lousy when you are alive, there will be no tears after you die, it's not like that. We must know that our God is the God on earth, and God's will is on earth. We must connect all these things together. God's will is for us to manage the birds in the sky, the animals on the ground, and the fish in the sea, and then to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and govern it.

So what does management mean? The meaning of management is very deep. Chinese Mingding Destiny must go deep into the level of management in the future, because God is the God of management. Chinese Mingding Destiny must produce courses such as business management, time management, and project management in the future. We must manage according to how God manages. Some people say that since God is an almighty God, why did he bother to spend six days creating? Wouldn't it be over if he created it with a snap? When I heard it, I thought it was pretty good. God can do it all at once, but can we learn it? How can we do it all at once like that? A car accident can happen with a snap, but if you want to get things done, how can you get it done so easily?

It's like building a great company, which is built step by step. Managing a project is also done step by step. Later, I found that many Christians pursue getting things done all at once. Once I prayed for a person from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. because her legs were very painful. The next day I met her husband, and her husband said to me: It's not good for you to pray like this. It's too much trouble to toss around for more than two hours. You should pursue getting it done with a snap. Later, I found that many Christians pursue getting things done all at once, which is very corrupt! They even dare to say to God: God, it's not good for you to create all things in six days, you should have accomplished it all at once! But our God doesn't do it that way.

Later, I found that Christians who pursue doing things all at once are quite corrupt, because doing things all at once doesn't require faith. If you don't succeed in doing it all at once, you need faith to support it, and if you don't succeed in doing it again, you need faith to support it again. In this way, you need faith on the first day, faith on the second day, faith on the third day, and faith for a lifetime. Pursuing doing things all at once is not an operation with faith. Our God cherishes people with faith. Later, I also found that people who pursue doing things all at once are not managers. God created the heavens and the earth so well and so perfectly, and he still needs people to manage them, which is not something that can be done all at once. Whether it's a person or a company, there's no such thing as getting things done all at once. If your blood pressure goes up with a snap, that's terrible; if your hormones go up with a snap, that's also terrible.

God's Will is for People to Manage Well

Later I figured it out, God gave us a demonstration that management requires planning. Last night, I scolded a colleague. I asked him to think about where the problem was. He was always anxious, and his mind was full of my scolding, and he didn't have time to think about what he should think about. So he was uncomfortable all day, which is normal. He always wanted to pursue doing things all at once, and he didn't want to do things step by step. He did one thing on the first day, another thing on the second day, and another thing on the third day. He didn't know that the order of doing things cannot be reversed.

Management must manage the order of doing things, and the foundation must be solid. If a person is busy today and busy tomorrow, and never lays the foundation, wouldn't their mind be confused? The order needs to be managed. Let me give you an example. For example, after a person poops, they need to wipe their butt first and then put on their pants. You can't poop, put on your pants first and then wipe your butt, that would be troublesome. You want to poop, you can't poop first and then take off your pants, then you would poop in your pants, wouldn't that be troublesome. This order cannot be reversed.

Everyone understands this simple principle and won't do such a stupid thing, but we do many stupid things in our lives. I find that people like to be anxious, and anxiety easily leads to confusion. We must do things in order. We must have a clear idea of what to do on the first day, what to do on the second day, and what to do on the third day. Before God created the heavens and the earth, God's plan was more than just these 6 days. Even Jesus Christ came into the world and died on the cross for us, and even you and I were chosen in God's plan. God had this perfect plan long ago.

Don't think that Adam and Eve's corruption and fall was because God didn't do a good job? That's how people do it, that's how people plan it, otherwise they wouldn't have created the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We have to know what this plan is? It is so that we can live out God's image through Jesus Christ and become treasures in Jesus' eyes. It's not doing things with a snap today and a snap tomorrow, and then not accomplishing anything. Walk forward step by step with faith every day, and God will surely accomplish his good will in you, so that you can be on earth as it is in heaven, so that you can be fruitful and multiply on earth, so that you can live prosperously on earth, and so that you can manage well on earth and live according to God's way.

You live according to your own way, and look at the lousy way you live. When have you ever seen God in a hurry? No! We just don't want to move forward step by step, we just want to jump to the end in one step, and we like to get things done with a snap, but we never get anything done in a lifetime. Finally, we say: Teacher, I haven't grown in the past few years, and then we start crying and sniffling. You haven't grown yourself, what are you crying about? I have invested so much in you, and I haven't complained about why you haven't grown!

I'm very strange, are people so busy? Oh! I almost forgot to put on my clothes after taking a shower, which is annoying to hear. Sometimes I say: Look at the faucet and the shower head, and the soap suds on your face, can you wash them off before putting on your clothes after taking a shower? She said: Teacher, I forgot! I said: How did you not forget to come out without putting on your clothes after taking a shower? It's just a mess, what are you rushing for? So people who have a lot of contact with me will find that I am a management talent! I'm starting to Versailles again, I'm really a management talent! Management talents do things step by step, I understand everything clearly, what to do, how to do it, what things.

Sometimes on impulse, I really want to write a book on management, but I haven't made time for it. Doing things requires a plan, and management requires a plan. God is a God with a plan, and you are a person with a plan, that is God's attribute. People must implement it step by step, stage by stage, that is God's image. You do what God does. God could have finished the work with a snap, but God didn't do it that way! Don't be anxious, move forward stage by stage. Jesus Christ came into the world and spent thirty-three and a half years. Jesus Christ didn't come out to serve when he was just one year old and wearing open-crotch pants, there's no such thing!

Jesus worked as a carpenter for many years on earth, and then when he came out to serve, it wasn't finished with a snap, and he didn't just stomp his feet and run from China to Canada, and stomp his feet again and run from Canada to Europe, Jesus didn't do that. In three and a half years, Jesus embodied God's image vividly, and he managed it too well. God's will is on earth, God's will is management, do what you should do when you get to where you should be, do what you should do, no need to be anxious!

People Need to Rely on God's Spirit

You will find that the Spirit of God moves, not by car or horse, but by the Spirit of God, and relying on the Spirit of God is very effective. If people rely on the Spirit of God, they cannot be anxious. If you want to rely on the Spirit of God, you cannot pursue getting things done in one step. You must rely on the Spirit of God to connect with God, rely on God's power, and then let God's power fill us. Whether on earth or in management, we must rely on the Spirit of God, and we must be filled with the Spirit of God. A person without faith, a person without the Holy Spirit, does things in a hurry, because they rely on themselves, and it is difficult to rely on the Spirit of God. Why are you impatient? Why are you always in a hurry? Because you don't want to lay a good foundation, you don't want to grow well, you don't want to do things step by step, you just want to reach the sky in one step! But one step can lead to the grave, but it cannot lead to heaven.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. (Genesis 1:2)

The Spirit of God is always moving. If people want to be calm and stable and deal with their bad habits, they must know that God is in control of all things. You will find that Chinese Mingding Destiny doesn't talk much about God's sovereignty, but not talking about God's sovereignty doesn't mean that God is not in control. God's will is accomplished in us, and we must be very clear that God is in control. It's not that when we talk about getting cancer, it's God's sovereignty, that's not God's will! Whether in the first chapter of Genesis or in the later chapters, it is not written that God's will is to have more cancer patients on earth, nor is it to have more losers on earth, or more pain, these are not God's will.

You must know that God's will is in us, and God is looking for people who trust in him. People who trust in him must know that God is in control, and don't be anxious all day long. For example, you can't take the elevator during an earthquake, you have to run down from a high-rise building. People run in a panic, and when they run to the first floor, they don't even look, and they run to the basement in a daze. For example, when driving, a driver in a panic controls more than a ton of iron, which is scary to think about. Panic is definitely not a good thing, because you are always in a hurry. You are in a hurry for everything, as if you will collapse if you don't do it, and you are always out of your mind. How can you live out God's image like this?

You can't see God in a panic in the first chapter of Genesis, just do it step by step every day. You must know that things are accomplished by the Spirit of God, so don't be anxious. Some people say as soon as something happens: Teacher, I can't do it, I can't do it. I know you can't do it, and I never expected you to be able to do anything. So let go of yourself, don't love face, don't think about things you shouldn't think about, and ruin yourself to death. If people don't have a heart to trust in God, they are a piece of garbage.

I encourage everyone to be a person of faith. Rely on the Spirit of God, whether in the Old Testament or the New Testament, it is said to rely on the Spirit of God. In the New Testament, people accept Jesus as their Savior, and then are baptized in his name, receive the promised Holy Spirit, and are filled with the Holy Spirit. So people must often be filled and poured with the Holy Spirit. But many people don't have faith in their hearts, they just make a superficial appearance, as if they did things themselves. If they succeed, they boast about themselves, and if they don't succeed, they struggle for a long time and complain with tears that they haven't grown recently. At this time, you have to ask yourself, what have people accomplished by themselves?

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. (Isaiah 30:15)

Some people say they don't know how to rely on the Spirit of God. In fact, relying on the Spirit of God must be known from the understanding, don't be impetuous. Some people are busy from morning to night, so busy that they are going to die, and their hearts are like grass. You must know that the gospel we believe today is a powerful gospel, and we must develop a habit of being calm and stable. Everyone must grasp the key, the reason why we can be calm and stable and return to rest is because God is in control, and things can be accomplished by the Spirit of God. So we don't need to be impetuous and nervous. Don't start crying at every turn, and if you really want to cry, it's best to cry tears of repentance. If you still don't want to repent, and continue to run madly to death in a hurry, then I can only say: May God have mercy, good luck!

It seems that Genesis can't stop when I get to this lecture, but we must understand God's will. When we are calm and stable, our thoughts and wisdom will return, because God will give us wisdom. When we rest, we won't be so busy, and we will have wisdom and understand that nothing will collapse. Why are people always impetuous? It's because they are afraid that things will collapse if they don't do them. Some people open their stores early in the morning and close late. In fact, you can try opening at 11 o'clock and preparing the materials step by step. Even if customers come before 11 o'clock and your store is not open, it won't collapse. The store is not supported by yourself, if you rely on yourself, you can only open earlier and earlier, and you might as well not sleep.

Living is originally a simple thing, but people make it complicated. It's like some pastors desperately pull people into the church, while we desperately push them out. In fact, if they are not with us, it's useless to pull them in, and we don't need to care at all. We should open the store when we should open it, and close it when we should close it. We should put a sign at the door to indicate when we open and close, and people who really want to buy things can wait until you open.

If people rely on the Spirit of God, they will surely receive God's blessing! Let's not talk about others, let's talk about ourselves, we are busier than Joseph, the prime minister of Egypt; busier than Daniel, the prime minister of Babylon, who was second only to one person and above ten thousand people; busier than Mordecai, the prime minister of the Persian Empire; busier than Nehemiah, the governor of Judah. But after they were busy, they built the city walls, and after you were busy, the city walls collapsed. So start learning to let go of yourself, imitate God, arrange the plan, do things right, and stop being a annoying ghost. Living is a very simple thing, why do you always make it like that?

God Wants to Make You a Creative Person

The Book of Genesis is not about God creating all things, but about man learning from God's creation. If your shop is in a state of emptiness, chaos, and darkness, you need to become a creative person. Because once man creates, things fall into their respective categories, and there is no more confusion. To become a manager, one must manage with creativity. Our God is a God who does new things. How long has it been since you improved? Without creation, without new things, there are only old things. Management cannot do without new things. Let us think about what it means to do new things. To improve things, and improve them a little more, is to constantly improve, and things become more and more orderly, more and more upright, and more and more clear.

The first chapter is not about God creating, but about us learning how God creates. Cultivate a good habit. If you think carefully about how to become a creative person, can things be messy? They will not be messy. Some people become more and more chaotic as they create, which should be the control of demons on their bodies. That is not creation, but destruction. A creative person must make things orderly, upright, and more and more organized, without panic or impatience, and then things will be accomplished.

So, to become a creative person, consider what you have done. For example, wherever I go, I improve this place and that place, and put things in order. Next, clean up the living environment, organize the things you learn in a more organized way, and constantly create new learning methods. If not, the Spirit of God will give us, which is the image of God. Any state of emptiness and chaos is an opportunity for creation. If you are in a state of emptiness and chaos, start creating, like God, transforming this place. Let this place be filled with God's glory and your creativity, this is God's will!

Summary

Start to change your perspective. Why are you crying all day long? Because your perspective is wrong, you see not opportunity but despair. Your eyes must see the good, and you must also speak. It is important to be able to describe things through speaking. God created through speaking, and we must also create through speaking. I have explained God's will to you clearly through speaking. Describe things clearly, and things will be accomplished, they will fall into their respective categories, be orderly, upright, and get better and better. This is what I will be talking about in the next few lectures.

May God bless everyone!

Genesis Chapter 1 Scripture

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
1:4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
1:5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
1:6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.”
1:7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.
1:8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
1:9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.
1:10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
1:11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,
1:15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.
1:16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
1:17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth,
1:18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
1:19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
1:20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”
1:21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
1:23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
1:24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
1:25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
1:29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
1:30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
