Have a Heart of Compassion, Do Not Pervert the Poor

This chapter speaks of those who pervert the poor and those who are haughty, both of whom God will punish. Therefore, we must never be those who pervert the poor or those who are haughty. Who are these people? They refer to those who establish laws and pronounce judgments. God used the Assyrians to punish the Israelites, but after they finished punishing, they felt they were very mighty. They did not realize that they were not mighty in themselves, but were only mighty because God used them. Once people do this, God will turn around and punish these haughty people.

In this world, you will discover a characteristic: pride goes before a fall. Have you seen those flies, tigers, and people who have been brought down, all of whom were once proud and arrogant, running rampant for a time, and all of whom held real power in their hands? Once, I passed by the Heilongjiang Provincial Higher People's Court and was deeply moved: Has anyone ever been involved in a lawsuit? Do you know how difficult it is to litigate? If you have no money, how can you litigate? Is there any justice for the poor? Isn't it? It's very difficult. I think if I have children, I would never want them to become judges, because you would be placing them in a very deep temptation. When you start doing unrighteous things, it is because some people will really give you gifts, and you can speak eloquently, but in reality, you are perverting the justice of the poor. As for how much you deviate, it depends on what you control.

Why do we see many people who once held real power now being brought down? We always thought it was because of their embezzlement or something else. In fact, it is because they perverted the poor and were haughty. And we always thought it was the government that brought them down, but it's not. It's a spiritual law. So, everyone should know what you should and shouldn't do. As an ordinary person, living a peaceful life, it's best not to go to court.

The pitiable often have hateful aspects. The poor undoubtedly have hateful aspects, but you must have compassion for them, not pity them. God places these people among us to have compassion. So, in my heart, I have a very clear attitude towards those who disrupt the church. I don't want to harm them. If they repent, I will still recognize them as good brothers. In fact, these people are very pitiable; they are working hard. If you lead them astray, aren't you harming them? Even if there are a thousand or ten thousand of these poor people, people with problems in their lives, we, starting from me and the leaders of our church, must not pervert them. We are bringing them out of that situation.

Everyone can see JY's testimony. The transformation she has today is because we brought her out with a heart of compassion, but she was indeed willing to walk out with us. When she was willing to walk out with us, we were still quite strict with her. It's because this child was spoiled and accustomed to indulgence, and no one could control her, which is why she developed into what she is today. We do these things with a heart full of grace and compassion. If our hearts are biased and without compassion, then the problem is serious. We have authority in the church. Although we won't issue a judgment like a judge, our hearts must be especially careful not to pervert the poor. We won't look down on them because they are poor, but because they lived poorly in the past, we have a responsibility to bring them out.

Why build a glorious church? Because only a glorious church can bring people out of that situation. When we bring people out of that situation, and they are willing to build a glorious church with us and continue to run the race, we will walk together. If they are unwilling, and they say goodbye to us, we will also say goodbye to them. But brothers and sisters, to have the opportunity to build a glorious church in one's lifetime is a great grace. My classmate told me about his experience of being deceived, and in my spirit, I felt full of compassion. Because in the past few years, I really wanted to share the gospel with them, but no one was willing to listen. Everyone must know what life is really all about. The Israelites did not understand, so they established unjust laws and deceitful judgments, perverting the poor. The Assyrians did not understand, so they were haughty.

Build a Glorious Church, to Be a Blessing to All Nations

Many people may think: people must have money to live, people must have power, must have influence. But what God hates most is perverting the poor and being haughty. Did you see God punish Abraham? No! Did God punish Isaac or Jacob? No! God also did not punish Joseph. We must know that God's will is for people to be a blessing on this earth. As long as one person says: God, I have seen through the essence of life, I have understood that life is a futile existence. Now I want to say: life is a very simple matter, eating is also a very simple matter; making money is not the key, people do not live to make money; people live to be a blessing to all nations on earth. Therefore, brothers and sisters, desire to be a blessing to all nations on earth.

How to be a blessing to all nations on earth? That is to build a glorious church. Why is there blessing in Abraham? Because in Abraham there is Jesus Christ, the Savior Jesus Christ came from the descendants of Abraham. Why do we inherit the blessing of Abraham? Because Abraham opened up a blessed path, and that is the way. Why was Abraham able to open up this path? Because many of us live in vanity, Abraham saw through the matters of life and death. We Chinese are deeply poisoned. Not knowing life, how can we know death? This is utter nonsense. In fact, if people do not see through the matter of death, they simply cannot understand the matter of life.

I see my classmates drinking, acting crazy after drinking. Is that really how life is lived? I feel sorry for them. From my twenties onward, I have been thinking about this matter of living. Thank God, in the process of building the church, I have increasingly understood the meaning of life. From the moment I believed in the Lord, I have believed that: people do not live by money, not by food, not by your intelligence, not by your haughtiness, and even less by perverting the poor for money. Even if you deceive your parents of all their property, you will not live well, you will not get any benefits. Do you see any swindlers living well?

Walking in God's will is living well. If I didn't build the church, I would still have food and drink. If I really did that, I would live under a curse. I would not eat well, drink well, or live well. When I returned to this land of China, I saw that many of them were actually very rich, and eating was not a problem at all, but why did they not live well? Because they had not understood this matter of life and death.

I encourage everyone: start to understand this matter of life and death. If you don't understand, go to the crematorium to take a look. If you still don't understand, lie in a coffin and feel it, and you will understand that people do not live long. I told HF that in another 25 years, when I am almost 80, and you look at a group of our classmates, you will be very clear about one thing: those who live in God's will live well. Because of me, I am willing to enter into God's will. I am willing to shed blood, sweat, and tears, because I know that this way of living is very meaningful.

Many of us are not yet 33 years old, and 30 years will pass in the blink of an eye. I wonder if our brothers and sisters have truly understood what living is all about. If you really understand, will you pervert the poor? Will you be cursed for money? I ask you, which is better, a curse or money? I have a classmate named Xiao B. He told me personally: I have seen this ghost. He knows he has a ghost on him and told me those interesting stories. He got drunk, carried plastic flowers from the street back home, and threw his bicycle far away. He said: I didn't have that strength at all. The door was locked. Where did I get the strength?

If people are ignorant of the spiritual realm, they are truly ignorant! Why do these people pervert the poor? Because they do not know the power of curses! Yesterday they perverted a poor person and earned hundreds of thousands; in a few days, they perverted another poor person and earned another hundreds of thousands. That money is quite easy to make, right? Everyone doesn't know that the curses they are inviting are very deep. They are fine now, but when something happens, it will be too late! When these curses break out, people are finished.

Understand What It Means to Be Alive

You know, when the Israelites were destroyed, they were drinking urine, eating dung, without water, starving to that extent. What were you doing back then? I led everyone in Bible study, emphasized obedience, unity, and building a glorious church, praying for breakthroughs to be a blessing to this generation. Why do we have to do these unusual things? Can brothers and sisters directly inherit what I shared with everyone? If you don't agree, we can discuss it together.

Looking around this generation, I am saddened because I owe my classmates a debt of the Gospel. They invited me to dinner, originally to catch up, but I seized the opportunity to talk to them about ghosts and gods, which they didn't want to hear. I really don't want to gain anything from them, but I really want to share the treasure I have received with them. A hope rises in my heart, no matter what, whether it is timely or untimely, I must preach the Gospel to them. They say I look good; of course, I do, because I serve God.

I want to give everyone a different way of living. If everyone clearly understands what it means to be alive, knowing that God will certainly punish those who oppress the poor and needy, I would push this point further: show more compassion to them. My way of living is to lay down my life and dedicate it to God! It is to be a blessing to this generation. Scientists can send rockets into space, but they cannot send people to heaven; we are to make people fly.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in this chaotic and divisive world, in an environment filled with all sorts of strange beliefs, begin to have a dream: constantly restore the teachings of the Bible, build God's glorious church, and be a blessing to this generation. If everyone sees what I do, they will more or less believe what I say. You must know one thing: what you do counts. I challenge everyone: It is not about how many scriptures you have memorized, but about how much of the scriptures you have lived out!

If brothers and sisters can realize this point, you will live an extremely abundant life. Why? Because God controls human life. Why build a glorious church? Because it is the word of God. What is the most important lesson in life? It is to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. Act justly, do not oppress the poor and needy, do not pervert justice. Love mercy; you must share your mercy abundantly. Therefore, everyone must have a compassionate heart and have the concept of doing what pleases God because the result of a person's life is closely related to their understanding of God's word.
