【Sermon】But at Your Word, I Will Let Down the Net

2017-04-30 13,087 Sermon Curse Blessing Eternal Life Repentance Attitude Grace

I. Introduction

This has been a remarkable week. On Tuesday, we studied 1 Samuel Chapter 8, and on Wednesday, Exodus Chapter 12, where God struck down the firstborn of the Egyptians. As I led the Bible study and summarized, I felt very excited! Because I was answering a fundamental question.

Many people think it is inhumane for God to kill all the firstborn of the Egyptians. Why do people see it this way? Because they do not understand life and death.

Today, standing in the long river of human history, we see that over 5,000 years, generations come and go. In reality, it makes no difference how old anyone lives. However, as I share this topic today, you may not fully understand, but that is alright. You can reflect on it carefully. Your perspective depends on your vantage point.

Therefore, if you stand in eternity, you will see life from a completely different angle. In my sermons, I often mention the word eternal life. Why is eternal life so important? Is eternal life real? Pastor L, have you been to heaven or hell?

No, but how do I know? I know not because of what I know, but because I believe, and that resolves many disputes.

However, the issue is not about believing or not believing, nor is it about whether it is true or false. The issue is that if we believe, our view of things changes completely.

Just before my sermon today, a very good friend contacted me. His father was on his deathbed, and I thought the best comfort I could offer was to help him see clearly what life and death are all about. If a person does not understand life, they will often ask many questions.

Today, I want to share a topic: When Peter faced Jesus, he said, At your word. What does this mean? It means we may not fully agree with what Jesus says, but we can try it out at His word. And once we try it, something extraordinary happens!

So, in these past years, from when I became a believer at 28 until today, I feel like I have lived my life according to the words of Jesus. You ask me, are the words of Jesus really true? Actually, there are many things I don't quite agree with. But, later, I followed God's word and did what Jesus taught me. Wow! It's simply amazing!

Therefore, as I stand here today to share this topic with you, I hope our brothers and sisters will stop using their walnut-sized brains to overthink and strain, turning their brains into tofu. You won't understand. Why? You must act according to God's word and try it out.

Peter said, Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything, and now you, still wet behind the ears, are telling me how to fish? Don't you know I'm a professional fisherman? I'll just try it at your word. Immediately, the net was so full of fish that it nearly broke. One boat couldn't hold all the fish; they needed two boats.

If a person, in their life, just acts according to what Jesus says, the fish you catch will be incredible. So, as I discuss this topic today, I want to lay some groundwork.

Someone once wrote a book called The Old Man and the Sea. Instead of The Old Man and the Sea, I would call it The Old Man and the Fish.

Seeing Through the Emptiness and Struggles of Life

I enjoy reading The Old Man and the Sea very much, and it has become a famous work of this generation. If you have heard of the writer Ernest Hemingway, you'll know that The Old Man and the Sea is as famous as Hemingway himself. If you haven't read The Old Man and the Sea, I encourage you to do so. I'll give a brief introduction to what the novel The Old Man and the Sea or The Old Man and the Fish is about. I may not remember it perfectly, but the general idea is like this.

Hemingway wrote about an old man who makes a living by fishing, selling his catch at the fish market, and using the money to survive. He goes out to sea to fish, sells his catch, and lives off the money he earns, day after day, year after year.

One day, the old man rows his small boat far out to sea, and suddenly a very large fish bites his hook. He catches a big fish.

The old man is very excited because the big fish is about the same size as his small boat. The fish could easily capsize the old man and his boat. Although it has a hook in its mouth, it could also kill the old man. In the midst of the storm, the old man fights the big fish, and finally subdues it.

Exhausted, the old man pulls the big fish alongside his boat and starts rowing forward. But halfway there, the blood from the big fish attracts many sharks. The sharks come and devour the big fish. By the time the old man desperately rows to shore and pulls the fish up, there is only a skeleton left.

Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea, about the big fish reduced to a skeleton, became a famous work.

What is Hemingway writing about? Hemingway is writing about a state of living in this life journey. I tell you, all these literary masterpieces that have won the Nobel Prize describe a state of people living in emptiness. These novels deeply resonate with the human soul.

Do you know what he is describing? He is describing how people struggle and strive throughout their lives, and in the end, all that remains is a skeleton. That is a very sad thing. In fact, everyone in the world, no matter who they are, will eventually be reduced to a skeleton. So, today, I want to teach you to learn to see through this.

Some years ago, when my parents were in their early 60s, I returned from Singapore to visit them. They took me to the train station, as there were no planes back then. At the train station, they were in tears. My parents told me they didn't know if they would see me again the next time I came back.

My parents' weeping was heartbreaking, but I said something that was even more heartbreaking. I said, Do you think I care about this? I imagine my parents thought, You ungrateful child, we raised you for so many years for nothing. They stopped crying, and the problem was solved.

The problem is whether people have a clear vision of this life. People feel helpless during times of separation and death. Whether you feel helpless or not, you will experience such things. People will experience separation and death, but where is the problem?

Many people think I am mistaken, that I am too ruthless, hard-hearted. No, it is because I have read many books over the years, and books like The Old Man and the Sea deeply resonate with me. In the end, what can people leave behind? Even if you struggle with a big fish in a storm, struggle in the workplace, struggle in the marketplace, make money, and toil, all you get in the end is an empty skeleton.

Obeying the Lord's Word, Gaining Abundant Life

In other words, one day, we will all have one thing in common. You might say, Pastor Liu is very spiritual and has great faith. I am not spiritual and don't have much faith. But one day, we will all have one thing in common: we will be reduced to a skeleton. After we are burned in the crematorium, what remains will be similar. If you take it to a laboratory and analyze it, it will all be the same: carbohydrates, more or less in that state.

So, what is life all about? As we struggle and strive, do we really understand what we are striving for? Therefore, today, I want to share a passage of scripture. The main character in this passage is also the protagonist of The Old Man and the Sea. This protagonist is Peter, and the passage says this:

II. Scripture

As Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. (Luke 5:1-11)

You see, people really need the word of God because they live and live without knowing what they are living for, just like the tragedy of The Old Man and the Sea. Speaking of this, let's insert a passage in the middle of reading the Bible. Later, Hemingway got a disease, which was very painful. He committed suicide with a gun, which was very painful. Although he wrote The Old Man and the Sea, he still did not see through the essence of The Old Man and the Sea.

Today I will read you a passage of scripture to see the essence of The Old Man and the Sea.

He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. (Luke 5:2-3)

Jesus taught the people, but the content of what he taught is not mentioned in this passage. Some later sections of the Bible talk about what Jesus taught.

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him. (Luke 5:4-11)

III. Prayer

Lord, we struggle in this world, and we often feel very tired and exhausted. Sometimes, we toil all night and have no harvest, just like Peter. But today, we come before you to seek you. We want to be like Peter, obeying your word and living our lives according to your word, walking the path of our lives. We will surely see that the blessings you give us far exceed what we obtain through our labor. We will cast our nets according to your word, and the fish we catch will be like the fish Peter caught back then, almost breaking the nets.

Speak to us today. Lord, our attitude often has problems. We think we are experts in doing things, but in fact, you are the Lord who controls the whole earth. With you, all things are possible. We will learn to believe in you and learn to act according to your word. Although we often do not understand what your word is saying, we will act out what we can understand, obeying your word.

Obeying the Lord's Word, Surpassing the Wisdom of Experts

Lord, you will surely make us greatly abundant. You will surely make us live in abundance, make us live in prosperity, and make us live in strength, so that we may manifest your glory in this last generation. Lord, today you are calling us out, just as you said to Peter, to follow you. Those who follow you find life. Lord, speak to us today. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

IV. The Background of This Passage

Peter, this fishing expert, is a professional fisherman, but he is not as good as Jesus, this preaching expert. Jesus is a carpenter who may never have fished in his life. What is Jesus preaching about? Today, our brothers and sisters must know that an important main theme of the Bible is blessing and curse, life and death. I often advise everyone to see through life and death, and I often advise everyone to choose between life and death, blessing and curse. The Bible also often calls us to do this, so what is Jesus preaching about on the boat? He is probably talking about what kind of people are blessed.

One must know that toiling and laboring all day long is not a solution. In fact, toiling and laboring is a curse. Everyone must know that Jesus is not just talking. After Jesus finished speaking and preaching, he said, Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch. You are a preacher, what do you know? In fact, some people say the same to me: What do you know? Can you even manage real estate? Don't be surprised that I make money managing real estate; it's too miraculous.

Because I am a preacher, I know life and death, blessing and curse, so God's presence with me is the most important thing. Today, some brothers and sisters are stuck in one thought: Believing in the Lord is not acceptable. If I dedicate my money to the Lord, what will I eat and drink when I get old? In fact, I tell you, for a believer, eating and drinking are not a problem at all. Look at me, I have believed in the Lord for so many years and dedicated so much, but I have never lacked food or drink. So when Jesus tells him to let down the nets for a catch, Peter says, Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. You are a carpenter by trade, you preached a sermon, and in my words, you talked this way and that way, saying a lot, but what does it have to do with my fishing? Just you telling me to let down the nets will catch fish?

But Peter, this person, has a distinct characteristic. It's that I don't seem to understand very well. According to human and expert perspectives, how could there be fish? I fished all night, and it's impossible for a large group of fish to swim over in one hour, right? As a result, Jesus handles this matter clearly. Peter's characteristic is that I may not have figured it out, I may not have done it right, but I'll try it at Jesus' word.

So try it out. Don't stubbornly resist; it's useless. As a result, Peter let down the nets and caught many fish. The expert became a non-expert, and the non-expert became an expert. Our generation is often like this as well. Those who don't do real estate do better than those who do real estate. Those who are not banks do better than banks. Churches that are not churches do better than churches. This is too unexpected and too surprising.

How much faith did Peter's attitude actually have? His faith was just, I'll try it at your word. Just that much faith. With just that much faith, he caught a large net of fish and filled two boats. Today I tell you, if you have this attitude, I'll try it according to what the teacher said, it will work. If one day, you leave home to work, and your parents are in tears during this separation, try what I said and say to them, Do you think I care? This method works.

What is Peter's attitude? Try it out. Today, brothers and sisters, the faith of Christ Jesus, an attitude of try it out is enough. Don't be completely unbelieving--That's impossible--that's not good. I think people shouldn't think they are experts. In fact, I have come all this way with an attitude of trying things out. I try everything. Now that I'm in my fifties, I'm always pondering things. In Northeastern dialect, I'm always toying with things, never idle. But try it out, and if it's right, it's amazing.

As for making money, it's easy in some ways. So today, brothers and sisters, don't ever think that believing in the Lord can't put food on the table? That large net of fish filled two boats. You toiled all night and it didn't work, but Jesus resolved it in one go, what do you think? I tell you, don't ever think that believing in the Lord can't put food on the table. It not only puts food on the table, but it puts delicious food on the table.

So today I think there are two aspects to this. First, those who preach should be like Jesus, not only able to preach but also able to show people, can you do this? Don't just be able to talk and not do. Don't let down the nets for a catch and then not catch a single fish, you're not even as good as me. So those who preach must first be able to do it, those who preach must be able to live out the word of God. You clearly see God with you, and that's what matters. Why do some preachers preach and the congregation goes to church happily but comes back conflicted? It's because they can't live out what they preach. They toiled all night and were already exhausted, but following you, they toiled again and still didn't catch any fish, that won't work. We who are preachers must understand this, that is being blessed, and your blessings will truly find blessings.

So let our brothers and sisters begin to have this attitude. On the one hand, as preachers, you must have this ability. On the other hand, as hearers of the word, let's first adopt Peter's attitude. Don't compare who is the expert. Experts are useless; I tell you, God is the expert.

In fact, if people have God, is making money still a problem? If people have God, is fishing still a problem? It's not a problem anymore. If people have God, in your life, whether it's life or death, whether it's in heaven or on earth, or those who govern and have authority, nothing can separate us from God's love. That's great; then you become a divine person. Do you think it's better to be an ordinary person or a divine person?

Can tithing hinder me from becoming a divine person? No. I never skimp on tithing. Why? Do you think I lose out by giving these offerings? I don't lose out. I absolutely don't lose out because I have become a divine person. Everything I do prospers. You may not understand after being with me for a year or two, but after being with me for three, five, eight, or ten years, you see that everything I do prospers. Everything I touch turns into something good.

Last night, a young man asked me about things that are both good and bad, the duality of things. Everything has two sides, but for me, there's only one side—everything is good. Because I am a man of God. Do you want to be a man of God? If you want to be a man of God, follow Peter, follow Jesus, and you certainly can.

Peter's attitude changed dramatically after this experience. You should know that many people's changes come from experiencing God. If I did not experience God, if I had never experienced God, it would be difficult for me to maintain my faith. So, for me, believing in Jesus is easier than for those from traditional church backgrounds.

V. Peter's Change in Attitude

Peter's attitude changed dramatically after this experience. You should know that people's changes in attitude come from experiencing God.

A Tentative Faith and Peter's Transformation

If I had never experienced God, it would be difficult for me to maintain my faith. For me, believing in Jesus is easier than for those from traditional church backgrounds: cast the net to catch fish, and many come up. Unlike them, it would be better if they did not believe in the Lord; believing in the Lord and living a harder life, isn't that fatal?

Peter took a tentative attitude, and this trial proved effective, then his attitude changed. If you were Peter, and Jesus said, Cast the net to catch fish, and a large net of fish came up, wouldn't you think, Great, I'm following this person. Will I live a life of poverty? Will following Jesus lead to poverty? No.

Later, when it was time to collect the head tax, Jesus told Peter to catch a fish by the river, and there would be a silver coin in the fish's mouth, just enough to pay the head tax for Jesus and Peter. This was very interesting. Peter's attitude and concept began to change.

After fishing all night without catching anything, he muttered to himself that life is full of toil and trouble! What about my rent tomorrow? What about my phone bill? What about my utilities? There's no security! Because after fishing all night without catching anything, there's nothing to sell. No sales, no cash inflow, and still needing to pay expenses, what to do?

When there was no solution, he listened to Jesus preach, and as a result, he caught a net full of fish. How shocking to our logic! According to our past logic, I have to work hard to support myself! If I don't work, will you support me?

I often encounter such situations: people come to me, Pastor, I need to find a job. I say, That's simple. Come, let me pray for you, and as a result, they find a job. Think about it: you rely on God to find a job, can’t God solve the problems in your work?

As a result, after working, they balk, You have to solve my work problems for me! I say, You have to come to meetings! They feel like I need them to come to meetings, but it's actually they who need to come to meetings; I'm just telling them. I don't want them to lose grace. Can you help me solve my work problems?

You need God to find a job, don't you need God when you are working? Look at those of us who rely on God to work, who has been driven to exhaustion? They just can't figure it out.

Peter is smart, even though he is a fisherman with little education. I toiled all night and caught nothing. Jesus said, Cast the net to catch fish, and such a big net came up. Great, it's good to have God in your life! As a result, Peter immediately began to change.

There is a province in China where the people are most stubborn, with stubborn eyes. They always feel that what you say is not good. I think such people will not listen to Jesus' words to cast the net to catch fish, nor will they catch fish, nor will they solve the problem of toil and sorrow in their lives. So today, we must challenge the logic within us.

Jesus is the Word made flesh, holding all things together with His mighty arm. Your affairs are trivial matters in the sight of God, whether the problem of catching fish or catching shrimp. The Bible says,

If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the following blessings will overtake you and accompany you: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the offspring of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. (Deuteronomy 28:2-6)

Peter's concepts and attitude changed immediately. Peter didn't say it, but he didn't quite believe it in his heart. I'll try it according to your word. Actually, this attitude is not good. God doesn't care about our attitude, and as a result, a large net of fish was pulled up. Peter was surprised and said, I am a sinful man. The Lord Jesus said, From now on, you will catch men like fish.

Following the Lord's Word, Seeking a New Way of Life

So today, we must tear down the inherent logic within us. We must repent and never be self-righteous. It turns out that God can really supply everything for us, God can really be our food, God can really solve our toil and sorrow, God can really solve all the problems in our lives, even life and death, all things in life are settled. What good news! If our gospel is the gospel of solving the toil and sorrow in our lives, is it difficult to preach such a gospel? It will definitely not be so difficult.

Peter was very moved. I've been a fisherman all my life for nothing. I didn't understand it. Jesus understood it. It turns out that the most crucial thing in life is blessing and curse. If people want to live well, they must have blessings; if they want to have blessings, they must have God. This is so repetitive, even I’m tired of repeating this to myself.

Although I am a computer expert, I believe that our Lord is more expert than any computer expert. Today, we must begin to learn to trust in God. Our God is not only an expert in fishing and computers, but also an expert in chemistry, engineering, real estate, and even an expert in life. He is an expert in every aspect. If you want to do business, don't be afraid, learn to trust in God. God will surely lead you to deep water, cast your net to catch fish, and you will surely have a great harvest.

Our gospel is a gospel of abundance, a gospel of strength, a gospel that enables us to catch men like fish in our days on earth.

VI. Peter Decides to Follow Jesus

When I believed in the Lord, I had a major confusion: Jesus said, Come, follow me, and they left everything and followed Jesus. I thought, Are these people crazy? Just follow like that? This is a bit difficult to understand. But the Bible wrote it several times, Matthew, Mark, all wrote this. If Jesus said to me, Come, follow me! I would say, Give me two days to consider it. As a result, after considering it, the price goes up...

I wondered how Peter followed Jesus. I tell you, Peter was definitely not acting on impulse. Later, I investigated this matter, and I found that these people have a common characteristic: from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph... to Peter, they all felt tired of living, and fishing was not a good way to live.

I think when a person is alive, if you have a divine dissatisfaction inside, you will seek a new way of life, then you are awesome! This world is changed by people who are not satisfied. Peter was not satisfied. Peter was fishing with James and John, the sons of Zebedee, which reminds me of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang in China. They said, If we become rich and noble, do not forget each other. This means that once you become rich and noble, don't forget me. Others say, With your looks, what can you do? As a result, they say, How can a swallow know the ambition of a swan? How can a sparrow know the ambition of an eagle?

When I was preparing my manuscript, I was very conflicted. What should I talk to everyone about? I started thinking about using The Eagle's Eye, but then I thought I should make it more practical, At Your Word, Cast the Net.

Peter's decision-making process should be like this, and your decision-making process should also be like this. Think carefully, do you want to live your whole life in this way, day after day, going to work, getting off work...? Just living like this and then dying. If you feel that living like this is not good, then look for a new way to live. Today I tell you, our Lord Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Following the Lord's Word, Catching Men Like Fish

It turns out that we didn't understand, and we lived in emptiness, which is toil and trouble. All things bring one result, which is chaos. Our God is our life, truth, and way. So today, Peter met Jesus! Who do you think you have met? When I first walked into the church, they led me to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I thought this thing was too mysterious. I hadn't even read the Bible yet, and they immediately led me to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I was very disgusted at the time.

They were still talking there, and the time passed hour by hour, but they still wouldn't let me go. That's okay, I have a trick. You speak in tongues, and I can imitate two sentences, and they are extremely happy, He has finally received tongues! Then they let me out. I hadn't eaten from morning until 3 pm, and I was still being filled with the Holy Spirit? Okay, I'll make them happy!

As a result, when I came out of the church, something magical happened that surprised me so much! When I came out of the church, I suddenly found that the world had become colorful. Before I went in, the world was black and white, but it wasn't that I was colorblind, but because my heart was dark, the whole world was gray. However, when I came out, wow! These flowers and grass became so beautiful! I finally knew that Singapore was originally a garden city; I didn't know it before.

Thank God! From that day on, I haven't missed a single Sunday. I decided to start studying and understanding what this thing is. Later, I knew God, followed God, and still do to this day.

Why did I follow God so easily, and why is it so difficult for you to follow? I tell you why, because you live a colorful life, full of toil and trouble, joy and sorrow. You find it interesting, you like spicy flavors, and your taste is heavy. Your taste in life is also heavy!

But I, Peter, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses all felt that this world was not very interesting. I must find a better way. Once I knew Jesus, wow! I followed! I began to follow Jesus.

Jesus said, Come, follow me! I followed! From now on, you will no longer call yourself a fisherman, but you will catch men like fish.

I tell you that when Peter was looking for this way, he was very excited that day. He said, I have finally found it! Is it just that catching a net of fish is finding it? Not only that, Jesus also explained very clearly, explaining what life and death are all about.

Peter knew Jesus because of this incident, and he began to follow Jesus. Otherwise, his mother-in-law would have been in trouble. Didn't his mother-in-law later have a fever, and Jesus touched her and she was healed? If he hadn't followed Jesus, his mother-in-law might have been done for, as fevers in those days sometimes led to death.

So, brothers and sisters, can you have a determination today? If you have just come to church, holding the attitude of, I'll try it according to your word, that's really good, fantastic! I hope everyone catches a full net of fish, whether it's your business, your work, what you give birth to, or what your livestock produce, they will all be blessed.

Although the attitude has some minor flaws, you can use a try-it-out attitude, just try it out, it doesn't matter, and our God can withstand trials. Our God is not the kind of bad marketing expert who doesn't let you try or taste, you have to buy it before you taste it. No! You can try it first, taste it first, and then decide, there’s still time to chose.

VII. We Shall Catch Men Like Fish

Peter began to catch men like fish. Today, you need to know, is it better to catch people or catch fish? Of course, it's better to catch people. The Bible says, The one who is barren has more children than she who has a husband!

From Emptiness to Abundant Life Transformation

I think I should have solved many problems in my life. The first is the insurance problem. I don't need to buy insurance in this life; my insurance is my spiritual children. For example, if one day Teacher L suddenly falls on hard times, I will shout, I need money! Wow! People from all walks of life, spiritual children from all walks of life, will come! Catching men like fish!

Recently, I have finally experienced this benefit. I have a shelf here, and a box of this will come in with a whoosh, and a box of that will come in with a whoosh, filling this shelf!

So, don't control me with the things you give me. I often give the things you give me to others. But I still keep a small part, and I will definitely taste it!

Life was originally meaningless, but suddenly it became meaningful. I am really moved! I have always thought that no matter how old people live, they are the same when they die; no matter how old they live, they are the same when they live, and there is no difference. So, to me, life and death have always been the same.

But there is one thing that is different: before believing in Jesus, I didn't know why I was alive; after believing in Jesus, I knew why I was alive. If a person doesn't know why he is alive, think about it, lying in a hospital bed, his heart is empty, that feeling is terrible. The next day, he gets up to sing karaoke. The couple was doing fine, but after singing, they broke up! Many of these songs, they were not troubled in the first place, but they sang about being troubled and resentful.

Once, I went to a friend's house, and the couple was sitting on the sofa singing about parting or breaking up? I don't know, but they were singing about breaking up as if they were about to break up, which made me uncomfortable. They haven't broken up yet, but they are already singing about breaking up, it is so meaningless!

If a person cannot find the meaning of living in life, if living is the meaning of living, then it is a tragedy.

VIII. Walking Out of a Meaningless Life

So today, Peter does得人如得鱼, because he has changed from a meaningless life to a meaningful one; from a humble life to a noble one; from a fisherman to a pastor, that’s awesome! Toil and sorrow turned into joy; no hope turned into hope; no eternal life turned into eternal life; no relationship with God turned into a relationship, and from then on, he became a child of God. What a noble title! Remember, we must value our title.

Actually, do you think this passage is written for Peter? No, it is written for us. We who read this passage must know that Jesus Christ is constantly calling, Come, follow me! Are you willing to follow Him? If you are willing to follow Him, you will surely catch men like fish.

Actually, God is not only calling Peter, but also calling everyone who desires to have Mingding Destiny. As long as you are willing, God has been waiting for you there for a long time!

So today, we must know that before, we had no relationship with God, but now we have a relationship; before, we didn't have that covenant, that is, we didn't have God's promise on us, but now we have God's promise. What is better than God? How can fishing compare to these covenants, promises, and a glorious life?

From now on, we have become men of God, men of God who serve God, and when anything comes before us, we can trample those difficulties under our feet. Because we are no longer ordinary people, but have become vessels greatly used by God, because we are followers of Jesus, and following Jesus will surely live out abundance.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, I encourage you today to taste the goodness of the Lord's grace. If you taste the goodness of the Lord's grace, you will know the goodness of the Lord's grace. This is a grace, a wonderful grace, that does not require money, but only requires following the Lord's words, that is, just following your words and try it out.

Following the Lord's Word, Living Out an Abundant New Life

The words I speak today may be a bit shallow for an old believer, but newcomers who come among us will say, I'll try it out. Try it and you will know that God will surely make you prosper, but you must know that you can get out from the world and have a relationship with god.

IX. Conclusion

Will you follow Jesus? Are you willing to catch men like fish? Are you willing to live out your vision? If you are in real estate, are you willing to得房如得鱼? If you are doing projects, are you willing to得人如得项目? What will you choose? If you will choose to follow Jesus, you will surely receive great blessings, you will receive a vision, and you will live out a new life full of vision and full of power. Because God is such a God who bestows grace on us, Amen!

Let us pray together:

Lord Jesus, give me wisdom so that I can learn to follow you. Before I follow you, let me follow your word, live according to your word, do all things according to your word, and I will surely experience your wonderful grace. I will begin to learn to know you, and I will know that you are everything in my life. From today onward, let me experience you more, let me know you more, so that in the days to come, I will decide to follow you, to be a person who catches men like fish, to be a blessing in this era, and to live out the Mingding Destiny in our lives! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
