Possessing Eagle-Eyed Insight
The eagle embodies soaring ambition, agile responsiveness, and imposing presence. Its wings, broad and powerful, propel it skyward, battling the heavens. Its gaze, sharp and bright, pierces through the fog, revealing all. Its talons, keen and strong, seize prey, never relinquishing their grip.
With its sharp vision and powerful claws, the eagle perpetually occupies the apex of the food chain in the natural world. In the survivalist code of nature, opportunity is inextricably linked to existence. Without far-sighted vision, one is destined for merciless elimination by fate.
Many lament the absence of opportunity, attributing their unsatisfactory lives to a lack of favourable chances. Yet, God bestows the same opportunities upon all. Some succeed, others fail. This is not due to divine favouritism or abandonment, but rather to the ability of some to seize opportunities. The outcomes differ vastly between those adept at identifying and grasping opportunities and those who are not.
On an island in the Pacific, two salesmen, one from a British shoe factory and the other from an American one, arrived on the same day. After surveying the island, they discovered that no one wore shoes. The next day, they each sent a telegram to their respective factories. The British salesman's message read: "No one wears shoes here. Returning tomorrow." The American salesman's message stated: "No one wears shoes here. Excellent prospects for shoe sales. Planning to stay."
The following day, the British salesman departed, while the American salesman remained to post "advertisements." His advertisements contained no text, only a drawing of a robust local man wearing shoes, carrying prey such as tigers, leopards, wolves, and deer, looking imposing and magnificent.
The local natives, upon seeing the advertisement, inquired about where to obtain the footwear worn by the man in the picture. Consequently, the American salesman's shoes gradually gained traction in the market.
Everyone aspires to success and prosperity, striving diligently to achieve it. Many console themselves with the adage: "Effort is directly proportional to reward." However, many overlook the crucial prerequisite: a correct direction. Otherwise, your strenuous efforts are merely futile struggles. As you stray further down the wrong path, success recedes into the distance. If you possess the sharp vision of an eagle, far-sighted and adept at seizing opportunities, can success be far behind?
The key to life lies in growth. Regardless of when you begin, as long as you are willing to change, it is the optimal time to start. Habits can be altered, and vision can be trained. Learning to observe is a vital skill. Just because everything appears fine does not necessarily mean it is. Learn to identify problems, and upon discovering them, address them promptly. The effects may not be immediate, but small, accumulated changes will eventually lead to significant differences.
A person's proactive confidence will help him achieve many things. You will obtain what you see in your mind's eye. If you see opportunity, you will gain opportunity. If you see bleak desolation, that is what you will receive. What you see is yours; what you do not see is not.
How can we see what others do not, and discover opportunities that others cannot? This requires exceptional vision. Can vision be trained? How can we cultivate it?
- See the Good in Everything
Cultivating Eagle-Eyed Wisdom
In every event, we must see the positive aspects. When problems arise, we must identify our shortcomings, areas for improvement, and how to improve. In our work and lives, we inevitably encounter difficult people. We cannot change the environment or others, but we can change our mindset and behaviour. We must strive to see the good in everything. For example, if you encounter a difficult superior at work and cannot refuse to work with them, you must learn to change your way of thinking in this situation. If you can work well with a difficult superior, your potential is immense. Be adept at observing the driving forces that promote life growth.
- Stand Higher, See Further
Many are often entangled in immediate interests, lacking a long-term goal and unable to see the path ahead. It is more blessed to give than to receive, yet many fail to grasp this simple principle of blessing. Many renowned companies understand this well. For example, the ride-hailing app Didi Chuxing, which we are all familiar with, was initially viewed with scepticism by many. However, its low fares and efficient service captivated a large number of loyal fans, providing a convenient way for people to travel and allowing many idle private cars to be utilized. Soon, Didi Chuxing became the preferred mode of transportation, achieving its goal of changing people's lifestyles. Despite recent fare increases, people still habitually choose this mode of transportation. Didi Chuxing's success is inextricably linked to the long-term vision of its decision-makers.
- See More Clearly
Do not merely see the surface of things. Learn to see the essence through the phenomena, to see opportunities in chaos, to see the future from the present, and to see turning points in economic crises. During the Asian financial crisis of 1997, the entire Asian economy plunged into severe recession. However, the financial magnate George Soros was able to see opportunities in the crisis, reaping substantial profits. The total amount of wealth in the world does not change; a financial crisis merely transfers money from the hands of some to the hands of others. If we can see the essence behind the surface of things, we can discover opportunities that others cannot and obtain unexpected surprises.
Similarly, in the process of character development, we inevitably encounter many offences and challenges. However, if you see the essence through these appearances, you will find that these difficulties will become benefits in your life. Having been tempered by these hardships, the height of your life will be elevated. The spiritual person sees through all things, but the worldly person cannot see through him.
- See More Clearly
The most important ability of a leader and decision-maker is to concretize abstract concepts. When new concepts and ideas emerge, many cannot imagine or see them clearly, always feeling that there are too many uncertainties and not knowing how to identify and analyse them. If you can see the direction of progress clearly in the midst of ambiguity, you will reap success that you yourself have never imagined. When Jack Ma created Alibaba more than a decade ago, no one was optimistic about him. Everyone said he was a liar and a madman. However, Alibaba has now become one of the world's leading Internet companies. Taobao and Alipay have even completely changed people's lifestyles, penetrating every corner of people's lives. If those who rejected Jack Ma at the time could have seen the enormous potential of the Internet, perhaps their lives would have been rewritten.
- Inherit More
Seven Key Qualities for Success
Many often fall into the mistaken delusion that doing a good job means creating everything from scratch. In fact, true innovation does not mean being unconventional and abandoning all the experiences of predecessors. Learning to inherit is a very important quality. When others have already done well, we can directly use it. If you can learn everything that others have done, then you are already a very powerful person. New and old are relative concepts. As long as you did not know it before, then for you, what you are now exposed to that others have already done is new. You inherit it well. If you can have new ideas and creativity in this learning process and push the success of others one step further, then you are a remarkable person. The best way to inherit is to read books, turn the knowledge of others into your own, and learn to create and break through in inheritance.
- Do a Little More
Many people think that what the eyes see is the truth. In fact, using only the eyes often leads to mistakes. Appearances are not necessarily the truth. In our work, we often encounter this situation: many things are not within our responsibilities, some people will do it easily, and some people will instinctively take a detour. Many people are afraid of suffering losses and are also calculating in many small things. In fact: If you do well, will you not be accepted? What you do is actually seen by others, and rewards and punishments are not without reason. Yu Minhong, the founder of New Oriental, told the story behind his success. When he was in college, he helped all the people in the dormitory to fetch water and clean up. Maybe in the eyes of many people, he would think he was stupid and suffered a loss. But when he started his business, he went to his classmates for help. His classmates said that it was his help in fetching water for the dormitory that moved him, and then he gave him help without hesitation, and then there was today's New Oriental. In work, don't be afraid of hard work and doing too much. If you often actively and proactively do things beyond the scope of your responsibilities (positive, reasonable and correct things), then you are not far from being promoted.
- Thirst a Little More
The Bible says: Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. We must thirst for growth, the more we thirst, the more we will get, and we must thirst for change and renewal from the inside to the outside, and start to change from the heart. Man is made in the image of God, and God is a God who does new things, so we must also have the appearance of God on us and be a person who does new things. Thirst more for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, thirst for renewal and thirst for gaining power. Active and proactive faith will push the hand of God to help us achieve what we seek in our hearts!
Many people often complain about themselves, I don't have much education, there are so many excellent people in the world, how can success be my turn? Actually not. We often see that some people, despite reading a lot of books, still live in poverty and mediocrity all their lives, and there are many such things as people who have not received higher education making very outstanding achievements. We must know that a person's success or failure is not necessarily related to how many books he has read, but it is directly related to his vision. Therefore, we must often be vigilant and often practice our observation skills, learn to have the sharp eyes of an eagle, and everything is clear at a glance, will success still be difficult?
