【Bible Study】2 Peter Chapter 1 - Make Every Effort to Supplement Your Faith

2026-03-18 0

The Background of Peter Writing 2 Peter

Good day to everyone. Today, we will examine 2 Peter. When you read 2 Peter and 1 Peter, you might find them well-written. However, upon closer examination, you may find it difficult to implement the teachings, as many things are not very specific. The theme of the first chapter of 2 Peter is: "Make every effort to add to your faith." Is there a problem with this statement? No, there is no problem. People should be diligent in their journey of knowing God.

When did Peter write 2 Peter? I believe it was likely when he was arrested and in prison, and the Lord Jesus instructed him to be martyred. Why do I say this? Because Peter had initially escaped from the city and was running away. In fact, they hadn't caught him. But on the way, Peter met the Lord Jesus, who said, "Return to the city." Return to the city to do what? To be martyred. This is a widely accepted account of the background.

Peter returned to the city and surrendered himself. They arrested him, imprisoned him, and sentenced him to death. If you were a Roman citizen, the death penalty was beheading. If you were not Roman, but a Jew from a colony, you would be crucified. Crucifixion is very cruel, and Peter was to be crucified. In prison, realizing his time was short, he wrote 2 Peter.

Peter writing 2 Peter is quite interesting. Actually, Peter was not a diligent person. Why do I say he wasn't diligent? If he were diligent, let's talk about Chinese characters. If you can recognize three thousand Chinese characters, reading the Bible is not a problem. Learning ten characters a day, you would finish in a year.

I once met an elderly woman in her seventies in a local church in Singapore. This woman had never been to school and couldn't recognize a single character. I and other brothers and sisters taught her, and she learned very quickly. Later, she was able to copy the Bible. Once, she was hospitalized. The local church was quite traditional, and the spiritual level at that time was relatively low. When I visited her in the hospital, she showed me over a hundred pages of the Bible she had copied. Although the characters were crooked, she knew she had written them correctly.

A seventy-year-old woman could do it, but Peter was only in his sixties when he died. I wonder, in the thirty years after Jesus was crucified, he could have gone from elementary school to a doctorate several times, yet he still didn't know how to read or write, maybe recognized a few characters. So, when he talks about diligence, is it a bit off? Was he himself a diligent person? Was he a knowledgeable person? These things are questionable.

We must say that there is no problem with Peter talking about diligence, but if he himself was not a diligent person, and he teaches us: "You must be diligent, you must be diligent, you must strive, you must always remember what I have told you," there is an interesting flavor to it. What is this flavor? Perhaps Peter regretted it, but everyone must know that Peter was a man who cared about face. With Peter's concern for face and his inner drive, we can read between the lines that he was actually embarrassed to say: "I haven't been diligent in these past years, I haven't diligently read the Word of God." In reality, he should have thought this way.

In other words, Peter had a deep sense of repentance. He didn't know how he had muddled through these past years. Look at the Apostle Paul, who wrote 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, and so on, so prolifically. Then look at Peter, sigh, he only thought of writing a second letter when he was about to be executed.

I tell you all, Peter's heart was really not at ease, and it usually wasn't at ease. So he used his own regret to encourage us: "Don't learn from me, you must be diligent, you must be exceedingly diligent, you must be even more diligent, you must know God, and you must grow in knowledge." Although I, Peter, am about to die, I must remind you, I must make every effort so that after my departure you will always remember these things. This is Peter, and I think he should have deeply repented.

We also thank God, our God has abundant grace and mercy. God desires Peter to be filled with the knowledge of God in his understanding every day. Did he really know God? Actually, he didn't. I must tell everyone that Mingding Doctrine is a theology of striving. Mingding Doctrine has one major characteristic: it often believes that we ourselves have not yet understood. This is really the case. If we feel that we possess the truth, we will not seek the truth anymore, is that right? If you have the truth, why would you still seek the truth? The most frightening thing is this.

Brothers and sisters, because knowing God is endless, this is crucial. So everyone must know that we cannot continue to fail ourselves. It's not because Peter said you must be exceedingly diligent that we become diligent. Because this exceeding diligence is not a sacrifice, it is a gain. If you mistreat yourself, isn't that foolish? People cannot continue to mistreat themselves! Because a person's life is only a few decades long, why do we fail ourselves in the matter of knowing God? Why do I say fail ourselves? Because there are so many benefits in Jesus Christ! The Apostle Paul said this:

"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ." (Philippians 3:8)

We really haven't reached this level yet, have we? How many of us today truly consider knowing Jesus Christ as the most precious thing? I think many of our brothers and sisters still consider work as the most precious thing, isn't that right? Then you might say: "If I don't have a job, how can I tithe?" So for many people, if you touch their Jesus, they don't care, but if someone touches their job, it's a problem.

Is this the truth? Everyone ask yourself. I can tell you, there is abundant grace in Jesus Christ, there are all the benefits in Jesus Christ, our good is not apart from Him. Why do I say this? Can everyone understand? Because everything in Jesus Christ is good. Can people stop disasters? They can't. But with Jesus Christ, you can stop disasters, God helps you stop them.

Listen to my advice: in this life, you must never, ever fail yourself again. It's not that I'm about to die that I'm telling everyone. In the years that I'm alive, I'll nag as much as I can, I wish I could nag every day. Some people say: "Teacher, forget it, don't nag anymore." Alas, almost becoming a nanny. Becoming a nanny is a bit difficult, becoming an old man is still possible. This is Peter, probably about the same age as I am now when he died.

Both Peter and Paul Emphasize Faith

Both Peter and Paul emphasize faith, and of course, they both became old men like me. What does Peter say?

"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." (2 Peter 1:1-2)

Both Peter and Paul emphasize faith. But the content of this faith is different. For example, Peter, what does he believe in? Peter's theological system is the set of circumcision. Why? Because his boss is James. Peter, James, and those Jews believed that the Pentateuch could not be abolished, but their understanding of the Pentateuch was flawed.

For example, Peter, he knew very little about Abraham's affairs, but he went to study the side door, studying Lot. So this Peter, his faith is a very strange faith. You ask me, what kind of faith is true faith? I have an answer to this. Paul's faith is the inheritance of Abraham's faith. Then I ask you, does Peter have the inheritance of Abraham's faith? It seems not. In Peter's theological system, Abraham is really not emphasized. Everyone must know one thing, if our faith is not the faith of Abraham, we will not be able to draw on God's promises. Do you see if this is the case?

So last year, many of our co-workers and leaders prayed, thinking, pondering, and discussing every day. At this time last year, we re-adjusted this vision and mission. What is it called? Imitating the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. See, this guy's root is accurate all of a sudden. So what is Peter's faith? It's Moses' set of things.

Why? The reason is very simple, Peter, James, and these people did not understand Genesis. If they understood Genesis, they would know that this law was established on Mount Sinai four hundred and thirty years after Abraham. He knew that Abraham's covenant was a covenant of promise, and the covenant of Mount Sinai was a covenant of slaves. Isn't this the faith that Paul emphasized? So what exactly is the faith that Peter emphasized? He never made it clear in the end. Has he ever made it clear? Never made it clear.

Since he didn't make it clear, I was very surprised. You can't make a clear statement about a most basic concept. Are you clear or not clear? Is there the word faith in what Peter wrote? Yes. But is there such a thing as faith and works going hand in hand? That faith is faith, and behavior is not the foundation, faith is the foundation. So the faith that the Apostle Paul emphasized is the faith of Abraham, so he is the father of faith, and then that covenant is called the covenant of promise.

Does Peter talk about promises? Yes, he said: "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." Peter also talks about promises, but has Peter experienced these promises? This is confusing. In fact, Peter is also very confused. He wrote a pile of this, and the foundation of his faith has problems. So he later wrote about the promise, and he couldn't say why. Why? The Jerusalem church was ruined by him. Do you think this is a promise? A bunch of Pharisee believers were put together, and Peter and James couldn't manage these Pharisees. How could they manage them like that? Isn't it?

Then they went to churches all over the world to create chaos, constantly preaching circumcision. Once circumcision is preached, according to Paul, if you want to talk about the law, let's talk about the whole book of the law, don't take a little bit out to talk about. And that little bit of thing is a circumcision, an operation on the male genitals. What can that thing stop? It can't stop anything, what health, oh my god, what health? So Peter did not talk about this thing of faith. If you examine it carefully, Peter has never made it clear. But Paul clearly described this faith.

In fact, Peter's faith is not a true knowledge, Peter's faith is not a faith in understanding. Do you understand this time? Then you say, are you going to hold a criticism meeting for Peter again? No, why should I criticize him, I have no grievances or hatred with him. I hope that everyone can clarify the chaotic things in us. What is that faith? So Peter's faith is actually not the same faith as Abraham, it should be the covenant of Mount Sinai.

Peter Thought He Knew God

"Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (2 Peter 1:2-3)

This matter is too serious. Did Peter truly understand? So, my question is, what can everyone glean from this? Then, the fourth section:

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter 1:4)

Is that really the case? I don't quite see it. Before I joined the church, they particularly liked to talk about this verse. I said: Do you know God? Many years ago, I felt that our knowledge of God is just a drop in the ocean, a hair on nine oxen. In fact, it's less than a hair on ninety oxen; we only know a tiny bit.

Otherwise, let's try asking some Christians: What do you know about God? What is salvation? Do you know? Very few can explain it clearly. As for whether one can get divorced, they are very clear about that. But knowing God, they can't explain. Ask them: What do you believe in? They say: I believe in Jesus. Ask them again: What about Jesus do you believe in? They stare at me with wide eyes for a long time and say: I believe in Jesus to have eternal life and go to heaven after death. Listen to that, I tell you, where does this rigid belief that they know God come from? It comes from Peter.

Actually, what is the correct understanding? The correct understanding should be: We should be filled with the knowledge of God in our understanding. Do you understand? Peter says: Because we know. You already know? Do you really know? I don't think so. For example, someone who has taken a junior high school chemistry class says: I already know chemistry. I really want to punch him. What can you do with junior high school chemistry? Nothing. You have learned chemistry, but that is a hair on nine oxen of chemistry, understand? We just like to know a tiny bit and be done with it. Can that be? If you really know God, don't think you know God.

God has given us exceeding great and precious promises, have you received them? What if you haven't received them? So, Peter thought he knew, but he was about to be sentenced to death. At this time, he was very sure he knew God. So, what's the problem? The problem is, you know God, but does God know you? In Singapore, everyone knows Lee Kuan Yew, but does Lee Kuan Yew know you? That's unknown. So, what's going on? Let's all talk about it.

So, I think, Peter says: "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:" This is a very certain statement that we know, but we cannot think that way. Then this Peter says: God has given us exceeding great and precious promises, what has He given him? This Peter, what has he done? If we were to expose all the things he has done in his life, it would really be embarrassing. I don't think his kind of faith can draw on God's promises. His faith is far from Abraham's faith. Peter, James, and those few, they thought Abraham was wrong. They thought Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had many problems. What do you all think? I will explain "having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" later.

Peter himself was also confused. Later, I found that many people preach sermons, and they themselves are confused about the sermons they preach. After preaching, they themselves feel: What kind of sermon is this? It can't stand scrutiny. Once I went to study theology and took a theology class. Someone was lecturing on the New Testament, and I asked a question, and he suddenly became emotional. He felt that I was trying to challenge him, but I just wanted to know because he couldn't explain it. He would only ask back: Why do you ask? Should I spend money to take this kind of theology professor's class again? I won't go. The money has been paid, so be it. I don't care about those few thousand dollars. I will save the time to read the Bible properly. Everyone must now understand what? Understand that you must never think you know God.

Peter Believes That God Calls Us to Escape the Corruption That Is in the World Through Lust

Is there anything wrong with this statement? He himself said: "having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust, [we] might be partakers of the divine nature." Do you think what he said is confusing? Can everyone understand it? This logic is problematic. Have you escaped? I don't see that you have escaped. The one who asked the question, you haven't escaped. Is it that God calls you to escape, or what? How do you explain this? If He calls you to escape, you escape? If you haven't escaped, does that mean there is a problem with God? You say: God, look, you haven't called me to escape? This is a serious problem; it doesn't make sense at all.

Did Peter teach? He taught, but why didn't they escape? Peter's theological system is problematic; it's called a passive theological system. He says: "Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue." He assumes that God calls us to escape, but we haven't escaped yet. So, what's the problem? Actually, the problem is very simple. The Apostle Paul's theological system has a framework, while Peter's theological system is a tangled mess, extremely chaotic. Why? If he doesn't study regularly, how can he know? He just muddled along. For thirty years, he just muddled along, relying on the fact that he had followed Jesus Christ, relying on that as his facade. This is so deadly! How much trouble has this caused in the church?

What does Paul believe? You either obey the Holy Spirit, or you obey the flesh. It's not from the world; it's from within you. Do you all understand now? It's from the deep-rooted carnal habits within you. What from the world? It's yourself. You either obey the Holy Spirit, or you obey the flesh.

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." (Galatians 6:8)

Simple, isn't it? It's so straightforward. So, people reap what they sow. This is Paul's theological system.

When do we passively say: God, you have already called me to escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. I don't see it at all. This theological system of mortifying the deeds of the body is the Apostle Paul's. So, Jesus said: The flesh profits nothing. If you emphasize that the flesh profits nothing, Jesus said it, is it great to have surgery on the male genitalia and circumcise the foreskin?

Fortunately, Paul insisted that it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. So, what do we pursue? By the Spirit, we put to death the deeds of the body. Today, we must tear down those carnal things within us. Why do people love the world? Because can those who are carnal not love the world? Don't blame God, and don't blame the world. Your task is to put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit.

Peter didn't explain this clearly. Peter was always talking about false prophets, this false prophet, that false prophet, and he was orthodox. Isn't this like many churches today? They all learned it from Peter. Their heads are full of confusion, and their explanations are really nonsensical. I must say, I thank my God because I really put in a lot of effort to read God's Word and to do God's Word. I finally understood. I understood many confusions in Christianity, and they came from Peter. There are big and small Peters in this Christian circle who like to talk nonsense, like to do nonsense, and think they have the truth. That's what's deadly.

Peter Urges Believers to Give All Diligence

There is no problem with diligence, but it is a problem if you exert effort in the wrong direction. Someone is pulling the cart in front, and you are also pulling behind. You pull, and he pulls, can the cart move? His effort is in the opposite direction. So, what exactly are you giving all diligence to? Diligently keeping the circumcision, diligently promoting those things of Judaism; diligently promoting what? Not eating blood, not committing adultery, not worshiping idols, that's it. I tell you, Paul heard James and Peter say to him: Paul, you go to be the apostle to the Gentiles, and we will be the apostles to the Jews.

But you must advise those Gentiles to tell them not to eat blood. Actually, I tell you, there is nothing great about eating a mouthful of blood. You can't eat blood because it is excreted into the toilet the next day. Peter and them are very diligent in not eating blood, not worshiping idols, not committing adultery, and not eating strangled animals. They are all these small things. The couple is about to put each other in the refrigerator, or they can't wait to chop each other into minced meat and flush them down the toilet. They have reached this point, and they still can't get divorced. Oh my goodness! Worshiping idols, I ask you, how big of a deal is it not to worship idols? Let's all talk about it. Of course, worshiping idols is a big deal; you can't worship idols. Isn't that a very low requirement?

We must be like Jesus! Compared to being like Jesus, these are all small things. Someone says: Is worshiping idols a small thing? I really have to yell at you. Can you live out the image of God? Can you put to death the deeds of your body? If you can't put to death the deeds of your body, not eating blood is still the same! If you can't put to death the deeds of your body, even if you don't worship idols, you are still worshiping idols. Is it bad? It's bad! The Apostle Paul was overjoyed after hearing this. These little things are nothing. He ran off to build churches among the Gentiles. After building the churches, the gospel of God greatly prospered. What kind of church did Peter build? God is upset looking at it. Should we strive to pursue it? We should! So, what should we strive to pursue? Strive to pursue being like Jesus!

I can tell you, what did Peter do, and what did Jesus' physical brother, Mary's other son James, do in their lives? They were almost like great monks. It is said that James went to the temple every day to pray, and his knees were like the knees of old camels, calloused. He knelt for seven or eight hours every day. Does everyone think it's good? What is that? Meditation! Isn't it? He almost attained Nirvana! Is that the case? He treated himself as a monk.

We have a sister among us whose mother prays for seven hours every day and also has the knees of an old camel. Who did she learn from? She learned from Peter and James. What happened? She owed a lot of debt outside, forcing her own daughter to borrow high-interest loans and online loans to pay off her debts. Aren't you ashamed to do this? She prays for seven hours and then asks her child to use her ID card to take out online loans. How terrible! Her own mother dragged her child into the abyss. How selfish! How selfish is she? Then she uses moral kidnapping to force her child. What is this called? What is the use of kneeling and praying for seven hours? It's useless.

So, don't give all diligence. That diligence must be transformed into the Apostle Paul's striving to pursue. Strive to pursue knowing Jesus Christ in understanding, do you understand? Strive to pursue knowing Jesus Christ in understanding, knowing the faith of Abraham, knowing the faith of Isaac and Jacob. I tell you, where did the criticism of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob come from? It came from Peter and James! As a result, it has had many negative effects on later generations.

As they believed, Christianity became powerless! The gospel that was originally powerful, the gospel that manifested the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, where did it go? Peter was about to leave the world, but in his life, he turned the powerful gospel into a powerless one. He still thought he knew God, still thought God had called him to escape the corruption of lust, and still thought his diligence was particularly great.

Grand Nouns

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." (2 Peter 1:5-7)

Peter used a whole bunch of grand nouns, without clarifying any of them. The moment one clarifies, the faith goes awry, and the rest can be forgotten. Let me tell you, the more cultured and knowledgeable a person is, the more specific they are in what they say. The more uncultured they are, the more they like to use grand nouns. Observe carefully. Some among us, when pastoring people, only have a few tricks up their sleeves: discerning good and evil, slap! A label of discerning good and evil is slapped on; loving the world, slap! Two labels; indulging the flesh, slap! Three labels.

In reality, they know nothing. People ask them, "How am I loving the world?" They say, "You just are loving the world." People ask them, "How am I indulging the flesh?" They say, "You just are indulging the flesh." People ask them, "How am I discerning good and evil?" They say, "You are discerning good and evil with me." Oh my goodness, they can't explain anything clearly. You must know that I am a very specific person. Engrave the word "specific" deeply in your minds. What I say is very specific. Why? What's the point of talking about things that aren't specific? You should read this book like this, and then what? Read it like this, read it like that, it should take two hours, how, how much to read?

Our brothers and sisters really need to be careful about grand nouns. If faith can't be explained clearly, can goodness be explained clearly? Do you think it's the goodness of the Tao Te Ching? Knowledge, what knowledge? That's why when the Apostle Paul wrote his letters, he almost mentioned Peter's name. All these things create a lot of metaphysics. Then there's godliness, brotherly love, love for all people, take your time with that. Is it right to talk about diligence? Yes, but don't misuse that diligence, don't use it all on grand nouns without knowing what they mean. I think in the end, it's just a Peter-der.

So what about faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly love, love for all people? What did Peter do? What did Peter do? What he talked about wasn't what he himself put into practice. Isn't that upsetting? Let me tell you, Peter didn't do much. What did Peter do? Just took his wife around to various churches to scout and hustle. I tell you, even today I still feel indebted, sometimes I'm so anxious I'm almost in tears, there are so many problems I don't know how to solve.

Of course, when I hear that our brothers and sisters have come out of ignorance and started to have their own means of livelihood, I am overjoyed. I know I can't twist many nails myself, so I work hard to teach and train people. I also thank God that I am a man of action. I don't like to talk about grand principles, I just like to talk about the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, and see brothers and sisters receive grace.

People struggling to survive on the poverty line, don't they feel anything in their hearts? Their hearts are burdened. But now I thank God, why? Because artificial intelligence has come out, and I can use artificial intelligence to replicate multiple versions of myself. The Little Shepherd that you all read today, many of the words in it are mine, and they have been packaged by artificial intelligence. The content hasn't changed, but the language has become very, very smooth.

So brothers and sisters, let us grow well in Jesus Christ. A person who cannot support himself, who cannot feed himself, how can he bless others? Brothers and sisters, don't argue about grand nouns anymore. All things, one specific thing, two specific things, talk about them one by one.

Peter Likes to Talk About His Spiritual Experiences

Peter likes to talk about his spiritual experiences. Do you know what he is talking about?

"For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts." (2 Peter 1:16-19)

Peter talked about two experiences. The first experience: when Jesus Christ was baptized, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." The second experience: with Jesus on the holy mountain, seeing Jesus, Moses, and Elijah talking about Jesus' suffering. He felt: I have these two testimonies. In fact, he has talked about these two things countless times over the years, and he still talks about them wherever he goes, feeling how? So good. Then he likes to talk about these prophecies. After he finishes talking, everyone feels so good, but no one knows if it's true or false, and there's no way to verify it. There were no photos back then, nothing, just listening to Peter talk like this, and everyone felt that Peter was so great.

He used these two testimonies to fool many people. And then what? Peter said: "For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power." Is that how he told them? Brothers and sisters must know that the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead was later given to Paul, and Paul's entire ministry was a ministry with the power of the Holy Spirit. And so it is with us today. Our ministry today is a ministry with the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, not telling you, but demonstrating to you.

But Peter, at this age, has lost this power, because the foundation of his faith is wrong. His faith has become aligned with James, and this faith is no longer the faith of Abraham. Then he has to add works, and faith and works must go hand in hand, and he becomes a great monk. Then he can only talk about his past testimonies. Isn't that sad? Why do I feel so sad about this? If we talk about testimonies, can we talk about today's testimonies? Can we talk about yesterday's testimonies?

Last week's testimony, let me tell you, I am full of testimonies every week. Why? The power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, because of the Abrahamic faith within me. I have become a descendant of Abraham, received the promised covenant of God, and become a descendant of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. How good! We have already possessed the gates of our enemies. Do we still need to talk about these things to prove the power of Jesus Christ? I am vividly showing the power of Jesus Christ to everyone. So the Apostle Paul said:

"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power." (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

What good words, they sound so powerful, a demonstration of the power of life! Now Peter has fallen into a very difficult situation, having to talk about the little thing he saw Jesus Christ on the mountain decades ago. Some people say: That little thing is a big thing, right? It is a big thing, but the problem is not how it is told. It is with a demonstration of the Spirit's power.

Spiritual experiences are useless, what is lived out is useful. This is my belief, and because of this belief, I know that if I follow the path of the Apostle Paul; if I follow the path of Jesus Christ; if I hold on to the faith of Abraham; and use the kind of faith that Abraham had to believe in my Lord Jesus, I tell you, the power of God will be manifested among us.

So many brothers and sisters, we all owe Abraham a debt of gratitude, because he pioneered the path of faith; we all owe the Apostle Paul a debt of gratitude, because he recorded this matter clearly, not vaguely confusing us, but realistically. I think you all owe me a debt of gratitude too, because I have truly practiced the path they have walked. I tell you, I wish that brothers and sisters would no longer owe themselves, but walk this path well, with extraordinary diligence. This is not giving something to the Lord, it is you receiving grace. This path of faith is full of God's glory!

Peter likes to use spiritual experiences, don't talk about them anymore, don't use this stuff. Use your understanding, be filled with the knowledge of God in your understanding. Use the Abrahamic faith within you to tell the world: Behold, how gracious and glorious my God is! How abundant is the glory in Jesus Christ!

Likes to Explain

This bad habit of explaining is too common in Christianity, and Peter especially likes to explain.

"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:20-21)

Is this the most important thing? Brothers and sisters, tell me, when did Jesus say this was the most important thing? The most important thing is to read the word of God and do it, that is a wise man, that is building the house on the rock.

Our Mingding Doctrine is not about explaining problems, it is about solving problems. For example, if you live in poverty, can explaining it over and over solve it? Or, for example, when I was living in bad luck, when I didn't know God, when I was living in bad luck, many people explained it to me. When I heard their explanations, I felt that explaining this thing was useless. Can it solve it? If it can't solve it, then get out of here, I'm so annoyed.

Later, I came to know God, I walked into the church myself, and I asked the people there, and they said that everything could be solved. This God is so good, He can solve everything. I said: Can He? They said: He can! Oh, and He has been able to until today. Many people like to explain prophecies. Today, many people are explaining whether the end of the world is coming? Is Jesus coming again? Is this world war coming?

I really wish that brothers and sisters could all live out the image of God, live out the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Not hearing a voice in glory, not whether your hormones are standing up, not whether you have been electrocuted, these things are useless, maybe a little useful, but the most important thing is to implement the word of God well.

How could you be poor? How could you be full of illness? Thank the Lord! This first chapter of 2 Peter, I'm sorry, I've caught Peter again and said a few words about him. But I'm not just talking about Peter, I'm talking about those who have these problems. It's not for their problems that I've caught them, it's to hope that they can be like me, walk on the blessed path, walk on the path of Abraham's faith, and be able to draw on God's promises.

If you have the opportunity, read our vision and mission again, draw on God's promises, and live out the image of God, how good! To be able to build God's glorious church throughout one's life, like Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul, let God's glory fill us, let God's power fill us, let people come among us and have all their problems solved. Amen! I really long to be a blessing to many people, this path is so good! Amen!

May God bless everyone!
