V2-C103 How to Study the Bible -02- Focus on Practicing God's Word (1)

2025-08-18 6 103 Course - Intermediate Bible Study

I. Core Tenets and Learning Principles of the Course

  1. The Importance of Obeying God's Word: God's words are meant for us to act upon. Regardless of which chapter of the Bible we study, we must approach it with the fundamental principle of "how to act."
  2. Nurturing people with this principle will inevitably lead to their growth. The answers to many problems lie within the first chapter of Genesis, but the key is whether we act on them.
  3. The Basic Principle of Bible Study: Read God's word and then act on it; understanding comes through action.
  4. If you do not know how to act, keep reading until you understand. Doing so will make you formidable and undoubtedly intelligent.
  5. Do not remain solely in analysis and argumentation, such as "interpreting scripture with scripture," but focus on practice.

II. Practical Application of Genesis Chapter 1 (Case Studies)

Speaking

  1. God spoke, and it was so; He commanded, and it stood firm. This demonstrates the importance of speaking. We must learn to speak like God, uttering words of hope and faith.
  2. Avoid speaking corrupting words. For example, God says healing, but you say it is impossible. God will fulfill what you say, whether good or bad. Therefore, when unsure of what to say, it is better to remain silent.
  3. When the Spirit of God moves, our declarations will accomplish many things. Training people to speak words of faith is crucial.

Accomplishing Tasks

  1. Accomplishing tasks is the image of God; God's projects never "fall apart."
  2. If you are unable to accomplish tasks in life, there is certainly a problem. For example, some people achieve nothing after graduating from university, or cannot even pass the first part of their driving test. Such individuals desperately need the Spirit of God.
  3. You must constantly allow the Spirit of God to fill you, reveal to you, and move within you for tasks to be accomplished.
  4. In pastoral care, encourage people to seek the Spirit of God and lead them in praying in tongues, because teaching them other things is often ineffective.

Possessing God's Vision

  1. God saw that everything was good, even "very good." We must train our vision to possess God's vision. This means seeing improvement, seeing beauty, rather than only seeing chaos, ugliness, or thinking dirt and disorder are acceptable.
  2. Man is made in the image of God, so we must do as God does and see as God sees.
  3. Possessing God's vision is not absent; we have eliminated it ourselves by not acting according to God's word.

Each According to Its Kind

  1. "Each according to its kind" is a command to be followed throughout life. It means that things should have order, texture, and sequence. For example, pure colors, or using rules to classify when solving problems.
  2. Management is the key to making things each according to its kind and becoming orderly. God's power causes all things to be each according to its kind, and when the Spirit of God moves in all things, they will be each according to its kind.
  3. We were created to manage. Chinese Mingding Doctrine emphasizes management to train people to have God's vision and manage the earth by the Spirit of God, making it more orderly.
  4. Management is not about putting on airs or making movies, but about accomplishing tasks and managing projects in an orderly manner.

III. Conclusion

  1. What people need most in life is God's blessing. To receive God's blessing, one must possess the Spirit of God, God's vision, the ability to speak, the ability to accomplish tasks, and the ability to manage things well.
  2. One can accomplish little by one's own strength; one must rely on the Spirit of God. The most important thing in our lives is to live out God's glorious form, not merely to wait to go to heaven.
  3. The teachings of Genesis Chapter 1 are a very foundational aspect of Chinese Mingding Doctrine, aimed at restoring the glorious form in which God created us.
  4. God created man to manage, not to clean. Management is a very important concept in Chinese Mingding Doctrine.
