Introduction

Good day to all! I am going to talk about Esau again, but this time from a different perspective, which I call the spirit of weary Esau. I believe many people are weary, and the question is, can the weariness that overcame Esau also overcome you? This is worth considering. You might say, Teacher, what is there to consider? I simply don't want to be overcome by weariness. Well, that depends on your fate!

Busyness is a common malady. People are busy, and there is never enough time. Not only do you lack time, but you also lack money – a true tragedy of life! But let me tell you, we can discuss the lack of money later. Let's first talk about the lack of time, which is a myth. You have 24 hours in a day, and so do I. I don't live in a world with 25 hours, and you don't live in one with 23 hours. We are the same; God doesn't shortchange you, nor does He shortchange me.

Busyness is a myth, and the lack of time is a myth. People always think being busy is good. I wonder how many of you think being busy is good. Oh, that busyness! So busy that you don't earn money but lose a lot instead. Who is the busiest now? Those wealthy people are very busy; it seems like many things require them. But do they really need you? No, they don't. It's you who feel needed; you want to validate your existence. If you're not busy, there's a problem, and you feel like you have no purpose. There's an English term called act busy, which means pretending to be busy. When you're working, you can't say you're not busy; it would cause trouble.

But in my workplace, I'm the only one who's not busy, so the boss always gives me extra work because he thinks I'm free. Even when he gives me extra work, I'm still not busy, because I'm just a not-busy person. How not-busy am I? From the day I believed in the Lord until today, for decades, I have never missed a Sunday service or a cell group Bible study. Don't tell me it's because the Bible studies are so good that I never miss them. Actually, the studies aren't great; the cell leader is just talking nonsense.

Some people lose money when they get busy, losing ten million in a year. What's the point of that? Actually, pretending to be busy for the boss makes them happy to see people busy. Do you think being busy means working hard? Actually, not much is accomplished; it's a real myth. Think carefully about what you are busy with. Some time ago, I asked those I was managing to record the time they spent on work.

So, he wrote down that doing this task took fifteen minutes, doing that task took thirty minutes, and doing another task took an hour. After two or three days, he couldn't continue writing. He said, Teacher, how is it that I only work two or three hours a day? I said, It's good that you work two or three hours a day; what more do you want? It's very strange; the time doesn't add up, but the fact is that only that much work was done. So, what are you busy with? You say you're busy with these little things.

Someone said, Teacher, I'm very busy. I said, Don't be so busy. He said, No, I can't! I said, Why not? He said, I can't; the company can't do without me! Later, he got cancer. I said, Are you still busy? He said, No, I'm not busy anymore. I said, What are you busy with now? He said, Chemotherapy! I think, Just do it, it's painful all over. I feel that you can stop now; why couldn't you stop before? Actually, the world doesn't need him that much, nor does it need me that much.

We need to understand this clearly. People are running towards the grave, so why run so fast? What's the rush? In the early days of China's reform and opening up, the first people to own vehicles were riding motorcycles, Honda 125s, which were fast. Later, people did the statistics of the first batch of vehicle owners, the results were that they ran fast but died fast and became disabled fast! What are you busy with? Starting a car, launching at high speed, accelerating to 100 meters in 2.8 seconds, stepping on the gas, whoosh! Crash. It's the same now. I tell you, it’s okay to buy a sports car, but you can’t afford the insurance. The insurance fee for a sports car is several times more expensive. You really can’t afford to drive it.

I like to observe; do you think my observations are accurate? The two small wings of a mosquito fly with a buzzing sound, like a fifty-milliliter displacement small motor trying to run on the highway, stepping on the gas and yelling. The wings vibrate rapidly, like a small electric donkey, how busy. The two small wings are terribly busy, vibrating countless times per second.

Later, the life expectancy of mosquitoes was assessed to be one week, dying quickly! Flutter slowly, why flutter so fast? It will die in a few days. I observe the turtle, it can't crawl once per second, and it can't walk a few steps in half a day, but it lives for a long time. People should learn to crawl like turtles, which will definitely prolong their lives. Practicing Tai Chi is probably like that too. What are people busy with in life? Busy for living, but they become dizzy from fatigue.

When a pastor preached about Esau, he said: Weary—dizzy—! The voice was very emotional. Someone said: Teacher, pray for me! After the prayer, the head was no longer dizzy. As soon as he got better, he started to get busy again, and as a result, he became dizzy again, and asked me to pray for him again. Why do you have to be so sorry for yourself? If people don't get dizzy, it seems in their logical system that they are sorry for themselves and their ancestors for eight generations.

It is a strange thing in life to be busy to death, buzzing, flying faster than a mosquito, stepping on the small motor, honking, desperately driving, and if it breaks, you don’t need to drive it. Can you drive a fifty-milliliter displacement small motor with a big fat person sitting behind it to climb that slope? Has anyone driven a fifty-milliliter displacement small motor car? Whoever has driven it will know.

The three oddities of Northeast China: riding a bicycle at eighty miles, wearing a tie with a bare neck, and drinking without eating dishes. The sketches are all performed like this: wearing a tie with a bare neck and riding a bicycle on the highway is simply a beautiful sight. As a result, the police came and put both the person and the bicycle on the truck. He thought it was a free ride. As a result, when he arrived at the place, he was asked to pay a towing fee. It was just doing it to death. Although I am not busy, I find that those who are busy really do not do as much as I do. Don't you think it is strange? Some people say: Teacher, you are smarter. No, I am not one of the three Northeast oddities, because I have a trick, I have not been busy since I was a child.

I tell you, when you see a child being busy, he starts prenatal education from his mother's womb, and he has pressure since he was born, and he has been under pressure until he takes the college entrance examination. When he gets into college, he becomes depressed. I think this is fate, and I can't solve it or explain it. I have not been busy since I was a child, and I also have a bad habit. I really look down on those who are busy all day long. Isn't that time arranged by you? You can use this time to do whatever you want.

I have to tell you that you are wrong as long as you are busy. You can't be a little mosquito. Being busy is definitely not a good thing. What's the problem? Being busy is a dead heart on the left and a death on the right in the Chinese character. The heart is dead, there is no spirituality. When you are busy, the efficiency is low; when you are busy, there is no plan; when you are busy, there is no method; when you are busy, there is no time to study; when you are busy, you are finished, you are a little mosquito, fluttering two wings.

Zeng Guofan, an ancient Chinese man, had a powerful saying: Do less things. That is, don't have so many social activities. Without those things, life goes on. Do you believe it? If you believe it, you are awesome! Why did he say do less things? Because Zeng Guofan saw his younger brother Zeng Guoquan defeat the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and after returning home in glory, he began to get busy. Building a bridge here, repairing a road there, and donating money, all kinds of social activities were terribly busy. As a result, Zeng Guofan said: Do less things.

Today a project, tomorrow a project; this is an opportunity, that is an opportunity, all are opportunities, but none are done well. You just don't understand any of them with your small head, and then you have to do so many things. People like Zeng Guofan with big heads didn't do so many things, what are your small heads fluttering with two wings like a small mosquito? There is no efficiency, no thorough understanding, and no competitiveness.

Yesterday I ministered to a sister who couldn't learn. Her head buzzed when she studied. Except for the hair, her whole body ached. I taught her to study actively and spent more than an hour with her. The efficiency was greatly improved, not just a little bit. I told our pastoral leaders a long time ago: Bring your people to me to study actively. I can help you if there are any problems. As a result, only one came to me. It's good to have only one, do less things, and they treat me well. I personally studied with her and her pastoral leader, which was great! I like to do less things and do things well, so her learning efficiency has improved many times. Then I can let go after I take her a few more times.

I have a characteristic in doing things: I don't like to be busy. You may think it's strange that I personally took this sister to study such a small thing? But I am not like some people who took her for a hundred hours, a hundred hours of invalidity; I took her for five hours, five hours of effectiveness, five hours of solution is completely solved, I let go. How can I be busy? I take one person and get it done.

I once made a metaphor: Think about it, you want to kill a pig, but you didn’t kill it. It’s there screaming and the blood is still flowing, and then the pig runs all over the street; you kill another chicken, but you didn’t kill it, and the chickens and dogs are jumping around; you kill another pig, but you didn’t kill it. Wouldn’t this place become a hell on earth? Screaming! You didn’t solve a problem, you didn’t solve a problem, and then it accumulates. All the problems are not solved and you just poke them all. Isn’t this killing you? Why do you always touch the tiger’s butt when you have nothing to do? Don't mess with things when you have nothing to do.

Why I am not busy? When a problem comes, I wipe it out! When another problem comes, I wipe it out! Sometimes it’s done in an hour, sometimes it’s done in a day, sometimes it’s done in a month, and sometimes it’s done in a year, but this problem will definitely be wiped out. Pow! I won't be like a little mosquito, stepping on the small motor and yelling. So our brothers and sisters are beginning to understand that the APP is very powerful now and catches people very powerfully. That Douyin is shaking like a mosquito's wings, how fast, swipe! Half a day has passed. As soon as you read, your head buzzes. As soon as you buzz, you start swiping Douyin. Once you swipe Douyin, you swipe it buzzing. Browsing Bilibili, playing games, and the time is gone.

If you are a Christian and you are dizzy from fatigue, what is the point of losing the birthright? What is the point of losing the name of the son of God? The sons and grandsons of Abraham recorded in the Bible were not very busy. Do you want to be busy or not busy? Quiet and not busy are all pretty good. You say that Esau was busy and doing well, and Lamech was busy and doing well. You will know whether it is good or not when you become Lamech. Busy people live by the swords of their hands and live in curses. People who are not busy live by God's blessing and live in God's grace.

Ishmael was a hunter, busy or not? Busy. Two legs run faster than wild boars; Esau was a hunter, and ran faster than wild boars. Isaac was quiet, a bit like a stay-at-home man; Jacob was also relatively quiet and relatively stay-at-home. It's interesting. It seems that something has been summed up. Isaac was the son of Abraham, and Ishmael was also the son of Abraham, but Isaac was born from God's promise, and he was the descendant of Abraham.

Isaac gave birth to two sons: Esau and Jacob, who were the grandsons of Abraham. Esau and Jacob are two kingdoms: one is the kingdom of the devil, and the other is the kingdom of God. Don't you think this is very interesting? They are all descendants of Abraham, but they live in different kingdoms. This is terrible! Many Christians claim to be Christians and claim to be descendants of Abraham, but they are busy. Do you think it is dangerous?

If they are all descendants of Abraham, but live in two different kingdoms, which kingdom are you in? Are you living in blessing? Or are you living in a curse? Which system are you living in? Do you want to be Esau or Jacob? So these recent spiritual teachings have really released many people, because their understanding has begun to be cleared.

I have to tell you that the spirit of weary Esau that I am talking about, Esau has his own logical system in his mind. He thinks that everything he does is right. As a result, God really sent a spirit to attach to Esau's body, and he became weary. What will happen to this person once he is weary? After being weary, he will start to mess around. It’s not that he doesn’t know that there is God. He knows that he is the grandson of Abraham and the son of Isaac. How could he not know that there is God? He knows it.

It’s not that he doesn’t know about blessings. He knows, because later his brother snatched his blessings, and he wanted to kill his brother. That is to say, he still values this blessing, but when he is dizzy from fatigue, he loses the birthright. It is meaningless to be busy with worldly affairs. Being busy leads to curses and takes the path of Lamech. In the end, Esau was actually very miserable. Without God's blessing and living by the swords of his own hands, isn't that very miserable? I ask you, is Esau living well? Think about it slowly.

One of our pastoral leaders said to their small leaders: You think Esau is married to the daughter of the local Public Security Bureau chief, right? A good match. And he is a tall, rich, and handsome man, with money, showing off his big muscles, hairy muscles, very manly, handsome, and running fast. This Esau is amazing. He must run in front of the games, faster than a wild boar. He must break the record for 100 meters and the record for 110-meter hurdles. He is very powerful! And his hand can pull open a bow of 120 kilograms, but Jacob can't.

Do you want to marry Jacob or Esau? Many people choose Esau. Why? Rich and powerful, but Esau is a cursed person. Brothers and sisters need to start knowing that the spirit of weary Esau is a manipulation in the spirit realm. So our brothers and sisters need to have a deep understanding of this. Being busy leads to losing the birthright, and in the end, they take the road of Lamech. How Lamech lives, Esau lives the same way. Cain, Lamech, including Nimrod, they are all in the same line!

Scripture

The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents. Isaac loved Esau because he had a taste for wild game, but Rebekah loved Jacob. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, and he was famished. Esau said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom. Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said, “What good is the birthright to me?” But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright. (Genesis 25:27-34)

Prayer

God, open our minds and let our brothers and sisters come out of their busyness. God, may You have mercy on us and save us from this weary state, whether it is because of family, business, work, or study. Let us be released from this weary state so that we can see how glorious it is to be in Your house, to be Your son, and to receive the son's name. What grace this is. God, open our minds and let us be released from now on, be quiet, be able to receive wisdom from You, and live in this world by relying on You, so that we can imitate Jacob, pursue this heavenly blessing, trust in You, and look to You on this earth, and let us live in peace and stability throughout our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Scripture Background

The background of this passage is very interesting. If you read Chapter 25, you will find that it is talking about whom? Talking about Abraham's son and Abraham's grandson. There is a very interesting phenomenon. You should know that Ishmael is actually about thirteen years older than Isaac. When Isaac was born, a teenager took care of a younger brother. The brothers were very good.

Isaac's personality is relatively weak, and Ishmael's personality is relatively strong. Those two legs are also flying legs. As a result, Isaac always looked up to his brother, and when he saw his brother, it was like seeing a hero. The Bible says that Ishmael is like a wild donkey. Ishmael ran hard when he opened the sports meeting. As a result, Isaac sat on a small stool and applauded his brother. Ishmael was simply like a hero in Isaac's eyes. But Sarah was unhappy when she saw Ishmael leading her son Isaac, so she told Abraham: Drive the boy out! She asked Abraham to drive Hagar and Ishmael away. Ishmael's survival was not a problem after he was driven away. I made this up. I like to tell commentary stories.

Isaac's later personality was relatively weak. To what extent was he weak? Abraham said to Sarah: You can't take my son back to your hometown, his mind will be destroyed if he is brainwashed by those people in his hometown! Abraham would not let Isaac go back, so Isaac stayed. Isaac is a very weak person. But this is very strange. Wasn't he born of God's promise? He should be very strong, but he is a very weak, obedient, and well-behaved child. Why is he so well-behaved? Later I learned that when Abraham sacrificed Isaac, Isaac was in his thirties. His father tied him up and put him on the firewood. Isaac was very well-behaved. I don’t know whether he wanted to or not. Anyway, he did not resist. He was very well-behaved and very gentle.

Remember, once we become a rigid person, we are unlikely to obtain God’s promise. With a gentle and humble heart, God can be kind to you. If you are strong, hard, and powerful inside, how can God be kind to you? Once you recognize a principle, your fingers will not work well, and your eyes will not work well. God cannot help you. Only when you become a docile person can things be done well. This is very interesting and beyond our expectations. We thought that God's people must be the kind who break the 100-meter record on the sports field. In fact, they are not. Later, we found that they are not.

Esau is the grandson of Abraham, and Jacob is also the grandson of Abraham, a pair of twins. Later, I felt that this was very interesting. Before birth, the two people fought in their mother's belly, tearing each other all day long, you grabbed my collar, I grabbed your collar; you grabbed my hair, I grabbed your hair. I tell you, because Esau's whole body is hairy and Jacob's whole body is smooth, so if you grab his hair, I'm just kidding, Jacob must have the upper hand.

The two kingdoms are fighting inside. Rebekah has two people fighting in her belly, and she thinks: What kind of child is this? Have you ever seen a pregnant person? When it is about to give birth to a child, you will see that the child suddenly bumps a bag out of the mother's belly, one bag here and one bag there, just like that. As a result, one gave birth to a skilled hunter, and the other was a quiet stay-at-home man.

I am going to tell you a story from the Apocrypha of Genesis: Isaac favored Esau. Why do you think he favored Esau? Was it because he enjoyed the wild game Esau hunted? No, his admiration for Esau stemmed from his earlier admiration for Ishmael, because Ishmael could run faster than a wild boar, a hunter. So, he thanked God and was blessed with another son, Jacob. He thought, I always envied my brother, who was driven away by my father, and my mother had no idea how much I admired my brother Ishmael. Why did he admire them? People who are weak at heart admire the strong. When Isaac saw that Jacob, this stay-at-home, was just like him, he thought, Why another son like this? He didn't particularly like Jacob, but his mother did.

Actually, I believe Rebekah's spiritual state was a level above Isaac's. So, there was a reason why Isaac favored Esau. Rebekah favored Jacob. Rebekah was drawn to Mingding Destiny. Without arranged encounters, she traveled far to marry Isaac. Why? She had heard from afar that Abraham had a son who received God's promise, and from then on, God would make his descendants like the sand on the seashore and the stars in the sky, blessing those who bless Isaac and cursing those who curse Isaac. Rebekah came with that destiny.

She thought, I want to bear Isaac a child, and with one push, she had twins. It's interesting that Esau did not disregard the blessing, just like many Christians who always value blessings; nor did he disregard his birthright, because when Jacob tricked his father into blessing him by impersonating Esau, Esau was so angry that he wanted to kill Jacob, and Jacob fled. That's what happened. It's not that he didn't value it. I suspect the Bible didn't want to write so verbosely, so I'll add some Apocrypha for you. These supplements are stories, not theological knowledge.

Esau went hunting, running faster than a wild boar. After such a strenuous workout, he must have been hungry. Seeing Jacob's red bean soup looked good, he said, Give me some to drink! Then Jacob said, Sell me your birthright. Esau said, I won't sell! That was the first time, and he wasn't thirsty enough yet. The second time, he chased a wild boar again, or maybe it was a roe deer or a deer. Esau came back and said, Give me some to drink! Jacob said, Here, have a drink. Brother, is it good? Esau said, Good. Jacob said, I'll make you some more next time. The next time Esau came back again, and Jacob said, Brother, is it good? Esau said, Good.

This time Esau was addicted to the soup. Then Jacob said, Sell me your birthright. Esau said, I won't sell. If he didn't sell, Jacob wouldn't give him any more to drink after that. He went to the refrigerator to get it. The last time, Esau was exhausted, and he had a spirit on him that made him feel like he was going to die. Esau said, Here, take it! I'm about to die. What good is this birthright to me? So, he sold it.

So, brothers and sisters, why am I making up this story? You are busy but not yet dazed. You are still of sound mind. You don't know that after one, two, three, four times, you might become dazed, sell the birthright after being exhausted. This is the spiritual world. What do I guess made Esau sell his birthright? It's called the spirit that exhausts Esau. Are you an exhausted person? You haven't sold your birthright yet, but you've already started getting addicted to drinking red bean soup, close to selling the birthright.

One day, God said, Go, exhaust Esau for me. A wild boar was running ahead, and while chasing the wild boar, he kept looking back. The wild boar teased Esau, never letting him catch up, just luring him. No matter what Esau did, he couldn't catch the wild boar, so he came back. He came back dejected, and at this time, a feeling of death was produced in him. When a person has this feeling of death, he can wipe out the blessings of this life in an instant.

As a result, Esau was exhausted, and this spirit came from God. Why did it come from God? Because God wanted to bless Jacob, God liked Jacob and hated Esau. God loved Jacob and hated Esau. Why? The reason is that Esau had that energy in his bones, relying on his own hands and sword to make a living. It's not that his martial arts were not high, they were very high, very powerful, but God didn't like that. Later, I realized that God doesn't really like hunters.

Esau knew very well throughout his life, thinking, My grandfather is Abraham, my father is Isaac, and I am the eldest son. From a young age, he was sure that he would receive the blessing. Isn't this interesting? Abraham's grandson, Isaac's son, ended up being a cursed person, living a life similar to Lamech's. Think about it, isn't this something worth our vigilance? Your father is Isaac, your grandfather is Abraham, your pastor likes you very much, and also likes to eat the wild boar you hunt, but this can't solve being exhausted and selling the birthright. Looking around in the church, you see a bunch of hairy Esaus, not many Jacobs. It's really worth our vigilance!

## Beware of the Spirit That Exhausts Esau (1): Even Though Your Grandfather Is Abraham

Don't ever use your grandfather being Abraham and your grandmother being Sarah as a shield, it's useless! People often use this to explain things, but it doesn't explain anything. Later, in Paul's letters, Jesus said to the Israelites, You are not descendants of Abraham, you are descendants of the devil. The descendants of Abraham were stunned after hearing this, We are indeed descendants of Abraham, I am from the tribe of Benjamin, I am from the tribe of Judah.

That is to say, Abraham being your grandfather cannot guarantee anything. Only one thing can, and that is you must be clear-headed inside. You cannot be bound by busyness, by the spirit that exhausts you. Be careful of the spirit that exhausts Esau. Esau thought, My grandfather is Abraham, my father is Isaac, and I am Isaac's eldest son, and Isaac's inheritance is mine. So, the most fatal thing for people is this, taking something as a shield, as their fig leaf.

Later, Jesus said that the Israelites were descendants of the devil, not descendants of Abraham at all, because only those born of the promise are descendants of Abraham. How many Israelites are living in Esau's logical system, living in Saul's logical system. This thing is very strange, even Paul, as we call him, was formerly named Saul.

That is to say, everyone thinks Saul is a hero. You would rather be called David! So, we must be careful not to take these things as a reason to say, I have already obtained eternal life; I have already obtained God's covenant; I am already God's people, God's children, God's sons and daughters. It is not like this. It is not according to the flesh. **That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.** If you are a first-generation Christian, then you must be even more careful. You don't have a grandfather; your grandfather was an idol worshiper, and your father was also an idol worshiper. Then you don't need to be so careful, but you still need to beware of the spirit that exhausts Esau.

## Beware of the Spirit That Exhausts Esau (2): Even Though Your Father Likes You Very Much

You must know that Isaac liked Esau very much. If Isaac didn't bless Jacob, he couldn't have taken the blessing away. But God does things so wonderfully. Esau was thinking, My father likes me so much, how could he not bless me? My father's blessing is definitely mine, even though I sold my birthright, it doesn't matter. As a result, he was finished, thinking he was very secure. How could he be secure? As a result, once exhausted, the matter was already sold. The subsequent events were God accomplishing Jacob’s destiny in a logical order.

It's not what you think: I'm exhausted, it doesn't matter if I sell it temporarily, my father will bless me later. That's impossible, and he had many reasons, thinking, I am hairy, Jacob is smooth; he speaks softly, I speak crudely. How could he deceive my father? Although my father is blind, he will know it's that brat as soon as he hears him. My father will definitely bless me.

Later, Isaac said, Son, go, quickly hunt some game for me. As a result, Rebekah knew about this, so Rebekah slaughtered a sheep, made it into wild game, and had Jacob send it to Isaac. As a result, Isaac blessed Jacob, and Jacob received the blessing. Isn't this thing evil? He heard Jacob's voice but felt Esau's hair. Why didn't he feel it a little more? One touch and it would have been fake, wearing a leather suit. He just did it so confusedly. Actually, this matter is very easy to expose. Why couldn't it be exposed? Because he was possessed by a demon, that's how it was done. According to Esau's thinking, how could it be taken away? You must be joking, it’s definitely mine! It's not like that. At the moment he sold his birthright, this matter was already stamped in the spiritual realm.

So, our thoughts and intentions within our bones must be especially careful about this kind of thing. Don't ever think that this is a sure thing. There is no iron plate, and there is no nail. There is only one thing, and that is we must strive to pursue! We all cannot understand how it was so miraculously accomplished? If God wants to accomplish it like this, can you stop it? That is to say, at the moment Esau betrayed his birthright, this matter was over, game over!

How often do we value busyness more than God? The spiritual world is so real. Isaac likes you, but what he says doesn't count. I tell you, God is very miraculous. In fact, Isaac lived for many more years, but suddenly he felt that he was going to die for a short period of time. Why? Because God wanted him to feel that he was going to die. Later, when Jacob came back, his father was still alive. Let us start to re-examine: Remember, things in the spiritual realm are too real. Only when we have Jacob's ambition in our bones can it be effective. Don't be exhausted. The spirit that exhausts Esau can also exhaust you.

## Beware of the Spirit That Exhausts Esau (3): Even Though You Are Very Capable, Very Competent

Was Esau more capable than Jacob? Esau was more capable, definitely ran faster than Jacob, and his muscles were definitely more developed. Esau's work was definitely done very well. Some people say, Teacher, I have the spirit of Lamech. I say, Stop it, go pull a donkey. Lamech was very powerful! Some people also say, Teacher, I have the spirit of Esau. I say, Stop it, Esau was also very powerful! You are not as powerful as Esau. He has the qualifications. If you say, Teacher, I have the spirit of Lamech, I hear that the taste is not right. If you say, Teacher, I have the spirit of Esau, it doesn't sound right either. In your bones, you admire them very much, don't you? Actually, it's not Esau, it's an donkey.

This Esau was very capable, very competent, and then he said, Thank God, God blessed me to hunt a wild boar; thank God, God blessed me to catch a sika deer. He was a very powerful person. Every time he felt that these were God's blessings. He had thanking God on his lips, but that slogan on his lips was meaningless, because that was relying on his own hands, relying on his sword to make a living.

Do you all understand this time? The strangest thing is that you really do have these two skills, you really have accomplished things, and you really say thank you to God. Actually, you should say thank you to yourself, because once you are exhausted, it is not normal to exhaust yourself so much. Some people say David is very capable. Yes, actually your being very capable doesn't mean you are a Jacob or an Esau. Jacob was also good at herding sheep. He believed in God in his heart. You never see a person who trusts in God being flustered, or nervous.

**A person who is flustered and nervous is definitely a person who has no faith. A person who has no faith should know that whatever is not from faith is sin!** Be careful not to just say it on the lips, what is in your bones? Saying thank you to God on the lips, but in your bones you are still an Esau! Why? The reason is that what is in him is a worldly logical system. During this period of time, we are talking about a series of sermons on the spiritual world, just wanting to destroy the worldly logical system inside you.

## Beware of the Spirit That Exhausts Esau (4): Even Though You Want Blessings Very Much

I know you want blessings very much, but it's useless, it doesn't explain any problems. If you are easily exhausted as soon as you work, it is because you value those things very much. Jacob valued God's blessing and God's covenant very much. Esau wanted blessings very much, because after Jacob cheated him of his blessing, he wanted to kill Jacob. Do you say he didn't value it? No, he valued it. But valuing it is useless, wanting it is also useless, the worldly logical system inside is what is fatal!

This is why there were two kingdoms contending in Rebekah's womb: one was Esau's kingdom, and the other was Jacob's kingdom; one was Esau's logical system, and the other was Jacob's logical system; one was a worldly logical system, and the other was a Godly logical system. A worldly logical system must be climbing upwards on the Tower of Babel. A worldly logical system must be living nervously in the spirit of Lamech.

We need to know, why does the Bible record it like this? Because Esau was Abraham's grandson and Isaac's son, so be careful of the spirit that exhausts Esau! He wanted blessings very much. Who doesn't want them? But you have to know the trick. You have to rebuild a Godly logical system, and then trust in God! So how did Jacob get the blessing? Jacob thought day and night about getting the birthright. Someone once asked me, Teacher, how did you calculate that Jacob was seventy-five years old? It was deduced backwards.

We need to have this kind of character that Jacob had. You need to know that Jacob tricked his father out of the blessing when he was seventy-five years old, and then he left home with a stick, escaping Esau's pursuit to his uncle Laban's house. How is it possible to obtain heavenly blessings without paying a price? But the price we pay must be a clear goal. It is definitely not hunting a few wild boars, nor is it catching a few fish, or doing a few businesses, or doing a few projects. We want to win people like catching fish, we want to gain God's approval.

## Beware of the Spirit That Exhausts Esau (5): Even Though You Have Resisted Many Times

Jacob didn't ask Esau for the birthright just once, and Jacob had been thinking about this matter every day for seventy-five years. How could his brother Esau not know? His brother Esau said, This kid covets my birthright every day. Today he finds a lawyer to sign, but I won't sign. It's not that Esau didn't resist it. He resisted it many times. This was the last time he was exhausted. He had been exhausted before, but had not been exhausted to this extent. Before, he had resisted it again and again. As a result, this time Esau thought, Oh, I'm going to die! What good is this birthright to me? Sell it! Actually, sometimes a person's impulse can solve a lifetime's problems.

Don't think that Esau didn't live a good life. Actually, Esau lived a pretty good life. His family could support four hundred soldiers who could fight. If each person rode a horse, that would be four hundred horses, amazing! In that era, Esau was a very famous patriarch. Abraham's things were given to Isaac, and Isaac's things were given to Esau, not missing a bit. He himself felt, Look, my grandfather Abraham only had three hundred and eighteen soldiers. I have eighty more than my grandfather.

We see this Esau as very interesting. If we talk about it, would you want to marry Esau? Many sisters dream of it! Why? Because Esau really was a wealthy person, a person with great martial arts skills, a very powerful person, and a famous patriarch. But like Lamech, he often said while still alive, I killed him! and this time it was God's protection. Actually, there should be more than one person who died under Esau's knife.

If we think about it, did Esau resist many times? Although he wanted to kill Jacob after being deceived, he saw his family's prosperity later, thinking, What blessing? Hearing that his brother Jacob was coming back, he wanted to kill his brother, but when he saw Jacob, he thought, What is this blessing, what is this covenant? It's not as good as me! It's useless even if I was deceived. What God's blessing, bullshit! My father's blessing is also bullshit!

Because the logical system inside him is a worldly logical system. Do we really have to be very careful about the worldly logical system inside? Really have to be very careful. Looking around, you will find that these people in the world are living very well, and after seeing it, you will be bewildered. Esau was still saying at home, Hey, my brother went to my uncle's house with a stick. He has been penniless for fourteen years! What blessing? What bullshit! Look at the conditions in our home.

Even now, many Christians are using this thing to judge the standard of blessing. Many Christians don't know that they have already fallen into Esau's trap, walking Esau's path, and are already exhausted! I ask you, when Esau was managing these things, did no one in his family want to kill him? Yes! Like Zhang Fei and Guan Yu, many people wanted to kill them! Because Esau really was a very rude person, relying on his own hands and sword to make a living. But Jacob was too powerful. He still recognized this heavenly blessing after experiencing so much and lived with peace and stability in his heart.

If you ask me, Did Jacob live a good life, or did Esau live a good life? I tell you, Jacob lived in peace and stability, because he trusted in God, even when holding a stick in his hand, he still trusted in God! Jacob herded sheep for Laban for fourteen years and saw how blessed Laban's sheep were in his hands. Although he was still penniless after fourteen years, he still trusted in God! He also wasn't busy and didn't have that concept of busyness. A person who truly trusts in God has faith in God inside. He doesn't rely on his own busyness to solve problems, so we need to readjust.

There was a pastor who encouraged the brothers and sisters in their church to borrow money to buy luxury cars, pretending to be rich. You still have to pay back the money, and what will you use to pay it back in the end? This is a very confusing thing. Esau was exhausted once and sold his birthright. From then on, in the spiritual world, a rule has been set down that Esau will live under a curse! Living under a curse may be very wealthy, but also very painful. Living in blessing, people will definitely live in peace and stability. I encourage everyone to think carefully: If you want to live under a curse, look at what that curse looks like, whether it is living a painful life in busyness. If you want to live under blessing, you will trust in God, and nothing will collapse.

Amen! May God bless everyone!
