Introduction

Good day to you all! We proceed with our series on the spiritual realm: the spirit of the Tower of Babel! The most critical issue in a person's life is not knowing that living is vanity. Many people live very earnestly, but living earnestly is also living in vanity. When you close your eyes and kick the bucket, everything will become past, and it will not be recorded in history; no one will write it for you. If we do not know that man lives in vanity, you will take the things of this world too seriously, and as a result, you will live a miserable life! Because a person living in this life without eternal life is a pile of rubbish! One day, you will become a pile of fertilizer, scattered in the field, and then gone.

People do not realize that they live, live, and then die, not knowing it is vanity, so they invent many things to make us feel validated. People do not realize that living is vanity of vanities, so they think that many things we see are real. Recently, Xiaomi's cars have been trending, and many brothers and sisters think that Lei Jun's marketing is too amazing. It is indeed very powerful, but there are many people more powerful than Lei Jun. Why didn't they become so successful? The things we see will cause us to fall into the world's logical system, which is the Tower of Babel.

In fact, whether a person lives well or not has little to do with these things. If a person really stands in Lei Jun's position, how do you think he would live? He would live very tired! Everyone is rushing to climb the Tower of Babel, and then when they reach the highest point, they fall down. Extremes beget the opposite! Everyone is earnestly focusing on the present matter, but what is the problem? It is that these things cause people to live very tired, busy, and desperately wanting to climb up.

Some of our children are in school. When the child is in the mother's womb, they have already begun to climb up, doing prenatal education, teaching them to learn this and that, living a tiring life! By the time the child enters elementary school, they are already exhausted, with almost no freedom. By the time they take the college entrance examination, they are completely drained. People are like this, desperately climbing up in these matters of living, and then after graduating from college, they look for a job, and after finding a job, they start their probationary period, and after the probationary period, they start to climb up. Some people say, Aren't you also climbing up like this? Don't think that I climbed up; God pushed me up. In those years when I worked in the past, because I knew God, I was really calm and at peace. It's not an exaggeration. Although I worked very hard and seriously, I was definitely not the kind of person who was frantically scrambling. Some people are not pushed up by God, but by Mingding Destiny.

There was a miserable Emperor Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty who, somehow, picked up a bargain because the previous emperor died, but there were no children to inherit the throne. As a result, after selecting and selecting, they chose Chongzhen. The previous emperors of Chongzhen had already ruined the Ming Dynasty quite a bit, and then this miserable Chongzhen earnestly wanted to restore the Ming Dynasty. He worked for a long time every day, but he lived a very miserable life. There was a big drum in the Golden Luan Hall. As soon as it was struck, the ministers would come to the court. But one time after it was struck, no one came! Why? Because Li Zicheng, the leader of the peasant uprising army, entered Beijing, and Chongzhen hanged himself on the crooked-neck tree on Meishan Mountain. That crooked-neck tree is still there. This is the life of Emperor Chongzhen! In the end, it was a tragedy, living without any meaning.

You take over a mess, and then you become very busy there. Maybe it's a mess created by your husband, maybe it's a mess created by your father, and then you take it over and desperately deal with it. That's a very tiring state. No matter what social class you are in, as long as you climb up, climb onto the Tower of Babel, you take living this matter too seriously. You say, If I don't take it seriously, what should I do? If you don't see through that living this life is vanity, you are busy there, you are tired there, and in the end, you rely on your own hands and swords to live, which is a curse, very painful! The Tower of Babel is like this: climbing to the top is a hole, and you fall down all at once. Your work, your business, your family, even your studies—all these things you pursue may become the Tower of Babel. My understanding of the Tower of Babel comes from exorcising demons. When I exorcised demons, I began to understand that this is how it is.

One day, my mother's condition was not right. I looked at it and thought, Isn't this a demon coming? Speaking strangely, that wasn't my mother. I grabbed my mother's arm and led her in prayer, and I drove the demon out, and my mother came back. I asked her, What's going on? She said, Son, thankfully you brought me back, otherwise Mom would have died! She was caught on a tower by someone, with a gun pointed at her back, and she was desperately climbing up. In the spirit, she is also an old person, climbing up step by step. I said, How high have you climbed? She said, About two-thirds of the height of the tower. She could hear us praying for her, and then a very tall person appeared in front of her, wearing a red robe, calling her name, and saying to her, Go back! As a result, she came back all at once. After my mother came back, she told me about this, and I knew that this thing is called the Tower of Babel.

What does the Tower of Babel look like? Later, I found a picture on the Internet. I said, Is that tower like this? She said, It's like this. Climbing up circle by circle, this is the Tower of Babel! This is how a person's life is. That tower is so high! I think that climbing the Tower of Babel has deceived many people. We will find that people who climb the Tower of Babel often feel very tired and miserable!

Some time ago, I met a sister, and I felt that she lived a very tiring life! Why? Because her parents themselves owed a lot of debt, and then her sister also caused her parents to owe a lot of debt again. The whole family was struggling to live. This sister took on three jobs to repay the debt. Do you want to manage it or not? If you want to manage it, to what extent do you manage it? Living this tired life! People take living this matter too seriously. They all live like this. Why does her sister owe debt? Because her sister insisted on going to South Korea to study, and all the money was borrowed by her family. After borrowing it, they couldn't repay it. What kind of logic is this? After her sister returned from studying in South Korea, she was also of no use.

We find that people are all climbing forward on this Tower of Babel. You don't know what the situation is like on top if you haven't climbed up. You are very tired when you climb at the bottom; you are also very tired when you climb at the top. That's how it is on the tower. People just don't know that such real things are vanity, and decades pass in a flash. Sometimes we run a business, and this business makes us very tired and busy. Our work is all about climbing up; no one goes down, but this road is very tiring! People easily fall into the lies of the Tower of Babel; people easily get deceived by the spirit of the Tower of Babel. The problem is that people don't know that living is vanity. Many things are actually not important. What is important is which path you are taking? One is the path God has prepared for you, and the other is the path of the Tower of Babel.

People do not know that living is vanity, so they fabricate many stories to make themselves feel validated. For example, people do a career and feel validated, as if they have a feeling of living. People are like this. Think about what level you have reached? Even if you reach the level of the president of a country, you are just making a statement. Several old men are fighting for the position of president, and everyone is fighting happily, like children playing games. They are fighting for that ball together, fighting very earnestly. Old men are the same, just fighting for that chair, playing happily! Even now, some people are still saying, Oh, this person has tens of billions in assets, that person has hundreds of billions in assets, this person has thousands of billions in assets. Anyway, they have amassed a large pile of things, but if you look at them up close, are they living well? They are not living well!

So our views and judgments on many famous and powerful people of ancient times are very distorted. When some people mention Cao Cao, Liu Bei, or Guan Yu, they think these people are very powerful. The military generals in the Three Kingdoms are even ranked in order, with Lu Bu being the first! People think this is particularly good, but let's look at how they lived. They spent their whole lives desperately climbing up the Tower of Babel. In the end, Liu Bei died, Cao Cao died, Guan Yu died, Zhang Fei died. You have to kick some people down to climb up. People just can't see through it! After I say these things, can you see through it? Some people say, Teacher, I was recently promoted! I said, Congratulations! But it's not certain whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. Think about it slowly! So in this world, there is one path that is the Tower of Babel, and there is another path that is the path of Abraham.

There is a very famous person who said, If you suddenly get five hundred million, you may not be happy. Why? Because those five hundred million will keep you busy. He also said another thing: there was a very powerful person who, somehow, really managed to get five hundred million. As a result, he jumped off a building and committed suicide. Why did he jump off the building? Those five hundred million became one hundred million, one hundred million became tens of millions, and tens of millions eventually became one million U.S. dollars. There are not many people with one million U.S. dollars in the United States, but the problem is that those five hundred million became one million U.S. dollars. He couldn't stand the decline of his family fortune, so he jumped off the building. If no one had given him those five hundred million in the first place, his little money might not have been enough to make him jump. The things we people pursue, even many Christians who mention commercial empires and business kingdoms, are very surprised and reveal that envious expression because people just can't see through that living is vanity.

Some people are doing these things, and they take my words and use them, saying, Teacher, I have to get things done, right? You got it done, but you built a Tower of Babel! God will tear it down for you! So we have to recognize what this Tower of Babel is all about! All pursuits and goals based on this life are the Tower of Babel, just giving you a temporary feeling of validation and temporary comfort. Maybe what you see is real gold and silver, maybe what you see is very real, but it is a lie because those things are vanity of vanities! People rely on their own abilities and their own swords, and the result of their living is a curse! If they get things done, they will feel that they are great; if they don't get things done, they will feel that they are nothing and then become discouraged.

Why do people want to climb the Tower of Babel and spread their name? Think about what will happen after you spread it? You die after you spread it. The more you spread your name, the more miserable your life will be. You even think that it is Mingding Destiny and give me a reason: I have to get things done! I think you have built the Tower of Babel! The logical system inside us is to envy the famous and powerful people of ancient times, but we do not know that it is absurd. Why do people have to live so painfully? It is also painful to be a strongman because that is not an easy life to live. If you live as a strongman, and then you become a famous and powerful person of ancient times, then you may not be able to do it! Because there are people more powerful than you above you. This is not an easy life to live, so there are too many strongmen, too many Towers of Babel, too much suffering, and too much violence.

People have invented a series of theories themselves, the purpose of which is to manage people. Since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in China, our logical system for managing people has developed to a point of perfection. That was two thousand five hundred years ago. We have to know that managing these people will ultimately bring people into the system of the Tower of Babel. Look at Qin State wanting to unify the entire Central Plains. Qin State weaved a dream of the Tower of Babel for the common people, and everyone desperately worked towards it. But this is a deceiving lie. There is a pursuit inside, but what is pursued is a vanity, hindering people from knowing God. This is what the Apostle Paul said: none of these powerful people know the wisdom of God because these people are all on the Tower of Babel. How would they know? People on the Tower of Babel only see the spire of the tower, desperately running towards that spire, that's how it is.

So we who seek God must be careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel! Don't climb the Tower of Babel; after you climb it, it will be a tragedy for life! If you climb to the position of emperor, perhaps you will become Chongzhen. If we rely on God to do things, we can do whatever we can do. There is no need to compete with others.

Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar to build a tower, saying, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:1-4)

Prayer

God! Give us wisdom so that we may know what the Tower of Babel is and let us be careful of the deceit of the spirit of the Tower of Babel. God! Shine your light on us so that we may know what your will is. God! Completely tear down the logical system of the world in us, let us know the grace in your will, the beauty in your will. God! Let us begin to seek you, let us know you more, let us be able to see through the deceit and lies of the spirit of the Tower of Babel, and let us turn back to you from this path of the Tower of Babel. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Scripture Background

The background of this scripture is about Noah and his three sons and daughters-in-law after the flood. Later, they had descendants. One of the sons was named Ham, and Ham had a very interesting experience. At that time, Noah got drunk and was naked, and Ham went in. In fact, he didn't do much. Noah woke up and cursed Ham. Later, Ham gave birth to Cush, and Cush gave birth to Nimrod, who was the first hero on earth. Cush was Nimrod's father, Ham was Nimrod's grandfather, and Noah was Nimrod's great-grandfather. That is to say, Noah may not have died when Nimrod was alive. Nimrod was the first hero on earth, with extraordinary influence. We call him Nim-god. He was highly skilled in martial arts and had never lost a battle, just like Lu Bu in the Three Kingdoms.

He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.” The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Kalneh, in Shinar. (Genesis 10:9-10)

Because the first centers of his kingdom were in Shinar, people went to Shinar to find a plain at that time. Because Nimrod was the first hero, everyone admired him very much. We are very surprised that Ham was cursed, and Nimrod, Ham's grandson, actually became the first hero. Does anyone think the curse is good? Want to be the first hero? Nimrod suddenly became the first hero, became the boss, and then he found that it was not easy to manage the people. Nimrod was quite powerful. He was not only the first hero, but he also thought, How do I manage this group of people? He suddenly had an idea. In fact, he didn't just come up with the idea out of nowhere. He suddenly received a revelation from the spirit world to build a city and a tower. This is called the Tower of Babel.

What did Nimrod build the Tower of Babel for? He wanted everyone to have a common vision and a common mission. Why? Because these people have to be managed. How to manage them? Their thinking has to be unified, and they need to have common pursuits. So how to manage these people? Let them build this Tower of Babel together, so the idea of building this Tower of Babel is to manage the people. Where do these people know that building the Tower of Babel is actually a set of Nimrod's logic? In fact, Nimrod was not only skilled in martial arts, but his theoretical level was also very high. So everyone carefully looked that this is quite powerful. Think about it, he built a tower and a city. What is he going to do? So that his rule can continue. As a result, such a logical system began to be established, and then it said:

They said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:4)

They said, make a name for ourselves. This is very interesting. According to our Chairman Mao, the ruling class can always invent a theory to manage the people. So Shang Yang's idea for the King of Qin is just this one thing. Throughout the ages, it is all the same old wine in new bottles. So everyone, don't be deceived by this thing. Why? Because everyone went to build the Tower of Babel, just like Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall. But this brought a problem, what problem did it bring? God doesn't like it! Let's see what God said:

But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. (Genesis 11:5-6)

How does this sound? As if God is jealous? Actually, not! God saw that if you do this, there will be nothing you cannot accomplish. Accomplish what? Because the one thing these people want to do is to be enemies of God. How can they be enemies of God? By leading everyone to destruction. Do you think God is upset by this? Yes! That is to say, Nimrod wanted to lead people onto the path of the Tower of Babel, and completely destroy one thing, which is to destroy God's redemption. People live very seriously, do you think living seriously is good? No, it's not. People live very seriously, but they are living on the path to destruction. If Nimrod had succeeded, Jesus would not have been able to come.

After Noah, God's plan of redemption was for our God to become incarnate and come into this world. This plan has never changed, except that the plan from Adam and Eve to Noah's generation was corrupted by the devil. To what extent was it corrupted by the devil? Only Noah's family was left. God destroyed that generation, and now Nimrod, Noah's great-grandson, wants to do the same thing. He wants to oppose God, and the spirit behind this is the spirit of the Tower of Babel. This is the name I gave it, but it could be called something else. The name is not important. What is important is that the Tower of Babel is used to deceive people, making them fill their lives with worldly achievements. Are you also filling your life with worldly achievements? If you weave a worldly dream, a worldly pursuit, like getting into university, becoming successful, what will happen in the end? Destruction! Because these are just lies!

So we must all begin to realise that the things we are pursuing are actually lies. Look at the things you are pursuing, the things you are chasing after. Which of them can deliver you from death? None! Only the grace of Jesus Christ can enable us to no longer rely on the Tower of Babel in this world, but to live out the glorious image of God by relying on God. When people rely on the Tower of Babel, they live out the image of the devil, living in pain! Those big shots from the past, do you want to be one of them? If you do, look at the miserable way they live, and you won't want to be one of them. But sometimes you think about it and you want to be one again, because another big shot has appeared, looking quite successful. But you must know that people fear fame as pigs fear being fattened. When you are fattened, you will be slaughtered. It depends on whether you are that fat pig.

Nimrod was a fat pig, who slaughtered him? God slaughtered him! This world is designed to give people a false hope. I really want to tell everyone that what you are pursuing is just making yourself a fat pig. What will you do when you become a fat pig? You will only be slaughtered! So we must begin to see the stories of our generation, they are crystal clear! A few years ago you couldn't see them clearly, but now you must see them clearly. Do you still want to climb this Tower of Babel? Actually, there is a better path, which is the path opened up by Abraham. We brothers and sisters must know that the Tower of Babel that Nimrod built in the Bible has swept everyone up. The word sweep is quite interesting, because the Tower of Babel is like a big scroll, rolled up layer by layer. When people are swept up, it must be an evil spirit that has swept them up, rolled up circle by circle.

If people choose to walk on the path opened up by Abraham, how do they walk? Abraham does not play with them on the Tower of Babel, he plays in the grace of God. So, this background needs to be understood slowly. This is also a very common phenomenon in the church. The church has also fabricated many strange things. To be honest, the pastors in the church are quite powerful, and they have also woven many strange logical systems, why? To make people follow them, to build their own little kingdoms, and then create a series of these logical systems. Some people say: I want to be a world-famous pastor! And then they weave one set of things after another, deceiving the people below. These people below even think that they are building God's church with him, thinking that they cannot split the church. Is that still building the church? That is building the Tower of Babel! So we must begin to recognise this matter.

Be careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel 1: See clearly what living is all about

Don't think, brothers and sisters, that I have to work hard to understand. Some time ago, I was teaching someone to learn programming. He wasn't very proficient, so he said: I have to practice more. I said: Can that thing be practiced? Later I came to a conclusion: It's better if you don't practice. The more you practice, the more mistakes you make, and you become very proficient at making mistakes! Another sister went to an accounting firm, and I said: Look at what you've done. She said: Teacher, I actually need to practice more. Practice what? Practice making mistakes very proficiently. This person's mind is not clear. If we are not clear about living, if you practice desperately, you won't be able to practice anything, you will only practice the Tower of Babel!

People need to jump out of living and look at living again. If you are busy all day long, what can you be busy with? Some people are deceived, and then they come back and say to me: Teacher, what my teacher said is the same as what you said. Can it be the same? He is deceiving you! People just can't see clearly what living is all about, and as a result, they live miserably, and they have wasted years. Why? Because they have been deceived, how can that be good? Seeing clearly what living is all about is not difficult. How is it not difficult? I have to tell you, God said: Living is vanity of vanities. You say: That's not right! If everything is vanity, how can we live?

Let me give you an example. Programming is something that others have set up the rules for. You just write according to the rules they say, and the program can run. If you have to write according to your own ideas, then the programming you write will definitely not run. Why do people want to make mistakes very proficiently? Because they don't follow the rules. God said: Living is vanity of vanities. You say: No! Then you create a set of logic for showing off your presence, and in the end it is just a Tower of Babel. Because people are very envious of making their business strong and big. Have you ever heard: I want to make it strong and big! You rarely hear me say these things, because I don't say these things, and I don't want to be famous; I don't want to be a fat pig; I don't want to create glory; I don't want to gain glory again. What glory do you gain from running a business? It's just a Tower of Babel.

Thank God! I saw through living when I was very young. So you see that I am not busy, the road to the grave is so short, what is there to be busy with? Running forward desperately, sometimes I get confused and squeeze my leg. So don't worry, first see clearly what living is all about. After seeing clearly, you will know that everything is vanity. You don't need to do a lot of things to be able to see clearly. Do what the Bible says, so we have studied a lot of the Bible, that is, how God says it, we will implement it. I have not been busy from a young age until now, don't think that I am very busy. Sometimes I sleep less, and I am slowly learning, exploring, seeking, and then I know what living is all about. Sometimes I suddenly get confused, because I value that thing again, and then I read God's word, and then I understand again. So the word of God must not leave our mouths! We must see clearly what living is all about. This is the most important foundation for being careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel!

Be careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel 2: Do not proclaim your own name

Proclaiming your own name and being ability-based are closely related. I said to some people: Fortunately, you don't have great abilities. If you had great abilities, you would be amazing! Why? The reason is very simple, because when people are ability-based, when you accomplish something, you feel that you are very powerful; when you don't accomplish something, you will be dejected. When you want to accomplish something, God will mess with you, and in the end they are all unfinished projects. When you are ability-based and want to proclaim your own name, everything you build is an unfinished Tower of Babel.

There was once an entrepreneur who was the richest man in our era, decades ago. He was very powerful! But I don't know why, he was sent to prison. Climbing up this Tower of Babel and entering a small room, this person stayed in the small room for many years and was released. He didn't figure out living while staying in the small room. He always thought he was very powerful. As a result, after he came out, he did this again and did that again, and he made everything unfinished. In fact, his ability had nothing to do with his previous accomplishment. There is a very interesting thing in this world, that is, many things are accomplished, but he doesn't know how they were accomplished. He thinks it was his great decision, but it wasn't, it wasn't your effort. If you want to accomplish something by relying on effort, I think it should be a bit suspensful! Why? The reason is very simple, what do we want to do when we accomplish something?

Nimrod built the Tower of Babel, what did he want to do? Proclaim his own name. All those who proclaim their own name, all those who are ability-based, are enemies of God! If you are an enemy of God, God will let you have unfinished projects. What should you do? I don't know what to do. Being an enemy of God is not a joke. So this big entrepreneur accomplished something before, and he felt that he was very powerful. In fact, he was not powerful, he just stumbled upon a dead mouse. Do you say that he has no ability at all? No, but his ability had no great relationship with the accomplishment of that matter, it was just luck! You can't help but admire luck. Without luck, no matter how great your ability is, it is useless. You may be the smartest person in the world, and you may be the most hardworking person in the world. You are smarter than Musk, you are more hardworking than Musk, but you can't be Musk, you can only be Skmusk, and Skmusk is far from Musk!

In fact, the people who accomplish things in this world are just lucky. You think about it carefully. Because I have met some people, and after meeting them, I feel what kind of brain this person has, and he actually has so much wealth? Because the relationship between the two is not very close. So proclaiming your own name is a deadly thing! I watched with my own eyes as a person wanted to build himself into a famous pastor and entered corruption; a person wanted to build his church into a famous church and entered corruption. There is a very interesting thing in our church. I really don't want to be famous, I don't want to become big and strong, and I don't want to build a big empire. As long as there is something to do, just let it be! Jesus only took twelve disciples, do I still want to have fourteen? Having six would be pretty good, so you rarely hear me talk about world-famous pastors. I don't want to be famous, I don't want to be that fat pig, I just want to do some practical things, rejoicing in my labor.

There was once a famous pastor, and people invited him to preach. When he saw a hundred people sitting below, he said: What are you doing? How can only a hundred people come to see a famous pastor as powerful as me? I was thinking: Good heavens! How many people do you want? He likes to have tens of thousands of people listening to him in that big stadium. I can't even handle a hundred people, how many can I handle? I just like to handle one or two, at most three. What is there to do with a big venue? I am the only one speaking there. If everyone were speaking there, that would be great! Because I want to deeply understand their problems, I just want to do some practical things. I don't want to be famous, people fear fame, pigs fear being fattened. We seek, we seek the kingdom of God and the righteousness of God, because it is not by my achievements that things are accomplished, but by the Spirit of God! Some people ask me: Then what will happen after you die? When I die, God is still alive! Why should I worry about that?

There is a church with tens of thousands of people. You must know that the offerings received by a large church are hundreds of millions. The old pastor thought: With so much money, I must let my son take over my class. Have you ever noticed that there are many cases of sons inheriting their fathers' business, especially in the church? Why? How glorious that is! I was talking to a sister about those big churches, and then she said to me: Teacher, that church with ten thousand people is so glorious! I didn't feel glorious, I felt that the chair was not easy to sit on. Can his son handle the team that his father assembled? His son cannot handle it, so it is very hard! Why? Because people seek the Tower of Babel! We live to serve God well, solving one problem after another, and not proclaiming our own name. How can you fall into the scheme of the Tower of Babel? Now the church has built the cross very high, is that cross not the Tower of Babel? It's the same! It seems to be for people to see, what can they see?

Be careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel 3: Be careful of the myth of accomplishing things

The Bible says that when the Spirit of God moves, it will be done! The spirit of the Tower of Babel can also accomplish things. These big entrepreneurs have done very powerful things, and Nimrod has done many things. Like Zhuge Liang used the Longzhong strategy to set the stage for the Three Kingdoms, and as a result, the weak Liu Bei occupied Sichuan and became the Three Kingdoms. Did he accomplish something? He did! Is it powerful? Very powerful! Although he accomplished this thing, it is still a Tower of Babel. I think that many of our brothers and sisters have accomplished that thing. Have we accomplished a Tower of Babel or something else? We must think carefully! Some people say: Teacher, look at this job that God has given me. I must do it well, otherwise I will lose God's face. I said: You take your work too seriously! God doesn't care about this at all. If you say: I must do my business well, otherwise I will be dishonoring God. God is not afraid of this, because your business is far from God's will!

This is the myth of accomplishing things. Is accomplishing things by the Spirit of God, or is accomplishing things by your own ability? If you accomplish things by your own ability, that is a disgrace to God! You say: I don't rely on ability, what do I rely on? So this is a myth. Some people say: Then what the teacher is saying is that we must accomplish things, not make them an unfinished project. If God wants to make you an unfinished project, it is also difficult for you to accomplish it. In the end, it is God who accomplishes things, and it is by the power of God, by the Spirit of God that things can be accomplished! So we must be careful of this myth. Maybe I have a bit of technical content when I am preaching this sermon, but I feel that some places are not completely understood, so I will just say it at this level, and say as much as I can.

Be careful of the spirit of the Tower of Babel 4: See clearly the will of God

And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:6-9)

Does anyone think that God is too stingy? Nimrod is building a Tower of Babel, and God can't stand it? Is that how it is? No! Because this Tower of Babel can lead people to destruction, this Tower of Babel is the road to destruction! People don't know, and when they read it, they feel that God is very stingy, but in fact, God wants to save us! We are able to receive grace, thanks to the fact that the Tower of Babel was made an unfinished project at that time. God's will is to bring His people out of this world! God's will is not to save this world, God is saving His people in this world. How can God's salvation come to this world? By Jesus becoming incarnate.

When we see clearly the will of God, we must know what God is destroying, and we must not build it. If what you are building is what God is destroying, what God thinks is empty, and what you think is real, then you are finished! God wants to save people, to let people get rid of the logical system of this life. With this Tower of Babel, people only see the tower and cannot see God. If Nimrod accomplishes this thing, then there is nothing that cannot be accomplished. All the things he does, only God's things are made an unfinished project. You measure yourself well, are you building the Tower of Babel? If people are wholeheartedly building the Tower of Babel, the things you do will be accomplished, but God's salvation and God's grace will be lost by you!

Summary

The spirit of the Tower of Babel and the lies of the Tower of Babel are very corrupting! The Tower of Babel lets people see that they can still accomplish things, and they can still create a great miracle, but it is a Tower of Babel, all the logical systems of this life. I want to tell you that living is empty, you cannot but admit this, and people really cannot do anything by their own ability. Do not proclaim your own name, and do not make a Tower of Babel in the end because you want to accomplish things. People need to understand what God is saying. If you pay a little attention from ancient times to the present, you will know that gaining God is incomparably good, Amen!
