The Faith of Jesus Christ is a Faith of Revelation

The Christian faith is a faith of revelation; it was never a faith invented by man. I think people have a fault; they often assume they know a lot, but their position is not high, they stand too low, and their perspective on things is not so accurate. Therefore, everyone needs guidance from a master. With a master's guidance, you stand higher and see more clearly. But you can choose to believe or not to believe.

For example, when a fresh university graduate starts working, an experienced elder guides him on how to do things better, but he doesn't listen. A child likes to play computer games all day long, and ends up achieving nothing in his forties, feeling very conflicted. Where was he earlier? This is called not heeding the advice of the elderly, and suffering the consequences.

What is the Christian faith all about? People, standing in their human position, are very low and can't see much. God reveals what He knows to us from heaven. The Christian faith is revealed by God to man. Do you believe it? Anyway, I believe it. If you don't believe, how can you receive it? The Christian faith lies in belief or disbelief. Fortunately, God didn't speak to you, because if He did and you didn't believe or listen, and then you became stiff-necked, stubborn, and rebellious, wouldn't the consequences be dire?

Some people want to hear God speak to them, but even if you hear, do you really understand? You don't know. The Bible clearly states that the last book of the Bible is called Revelation. The Book of Revelation speaks of the revelation to build a victorious church. This revelation is written in the Bible. The Christian faith is a faith of revelation, clearly written in every book.

Ephesians says this:

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:17-19)

This passage mentions several knows in a row, but many people do not know. Believing in Jesus, people turn the powerful gospel into something powerless, unable to solve any problems. Many people like to say: Look how loving our church is, and how gentle the pastor speaks. I wonder, what's the use of that? The gospel I believe is all read from the Bible. We must know that whatever the Bible says, we say the same.

A sister came to us, and her sister, who believes in the Lord in another church, said: I can't listen to what you say, I like to listen to gentle words. Actually, I didn't say anything special, just repeated the words of the Bible. The issue is not whether it sounds good or not, but whether it is effective or not. If it's not effective, what's the use of it sounding good?

Building the Church According to God's Revelation

We talk about building the church according to God's revelation, and God's revelation is crucial. This is not difficult to understand; the church is God's temple, and you need to let God dwell in it, so you must build according to God's will. It's very similar to renovating a house. If the owner wants pink, we make it pink; if the owner wants this kind of countertop, we make that kind of countertop, because they are the owners.

The temple is the place where God dwells. Later, I studied the Bible and found that God's revelation began in the time of Moses. At that time, Moses had to build something called the Tabernacle, which was the dwelling place of God. As a result, Moses went up the mountain, fasting and praying for forty days and nights, doing only one thing: to receive the revelation of the Holy Spirit, which was how to build God's Tabernacle. Later, he wrote all these things in the Bible, detailing how many pegs, ropes, purple threads, and sealskins were used.

The God we believe in has His Tabernacle built on earth according to the pattern in heaven. Fortunately, Moses built the Tabernacle according to God's instructions; if Moses had not built according to God's requirements, the consequences would have been unimaginable. Fifty gold hooks were meant to be used, but only forty-nine were. Sealskin? Where would so much sealskin come from? Dog skin and sealskin are only one word different, right? Would dog skin work? As a result, after it was built, God said, This is not what I want. And God would not come to dwell. The church is God's temple, the body of Jesus Christ. We must build the church according to God's revelation. Our position is low, our level not so high, so God tells us what to do, and we do it accordingly.

A former employee of mine, who was a software developer, had hundreds of megabytes of source code for software development; so much software that if things didn't match up, it would be a mess. I told him to follow my standard SOP, but he didn't follow my method and even asked why he had to do it my way. I was very puzzled, almost trembling with anger. He was a fresh graduate from a polytechnic, and he couldn't understand what I was saying. If he didn't understand, he wouldn't believe it. Very low. He didn't know that it was a very rigorous thing.

Building God's temple is a very rigorous thing; everyone just doesn't understand it. If you don't understand, it doesn't matter, you must believe in God. He is in heaven, and you are on earth. You must know that you are human, and He is God. God reveals to you, and you only have to do as He says. Meeting such an employee really made me very angry. Imagine, people are self-righteous and have to do things according to their own ideas. Isn't this the mental illness of many in this generation? Many people just don't understand. God's revelation is crucial. Many people build the church without following God's word, and then when I speak according to God's word, they say they can't listen.

Once, a person was paralyzed in bed. I said, What about your church's pastor? He said, Our church's pastor is very busy. He was quite understanding of his pastor, who didn't even come to see him, but even if he came, it wouldn't be useful. Later, I said, If you pray with me, you can get up and walk. Do you believe it? He said he had never seen it.

I said to him, Do you want to or not? If you want to, you will definitely receive it. Later, I prayed with him for three hours. Imagine, paralysis must involve a lot of tossing around, right? It's painful. The lumbar disc herniation recurs every few years. As a result, after praying for three hours, he really got better. Why? In the middle, I received God's revelation that he had this problem or that problem, so I led him to confess and repent. As for whether it was true repentance or false repentance, it was enough for him to say it to me once. God was truly gracious and allowed him to get up and walk.

But after he got up, he said, Our pastor speaks so nicely, unlike you. You speak so harshly. Whether it's harsh or not doesn't matter, you have to get up and walk! I was very puzzled. What was this person thinking? I made him stand up and walk, and instead of thanking me, he found fault with my harsh words. To be honest, my words are not pleasant, but the question is, are what we say from the Bible? If they are not from the Bible, then what's the point of listening to them?

I emphasize that we should imitate Jesus. Some time ago, someone told me, We are different from Jesus. I said, How are we different? He said, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit, but we are not. But he forgot what Jesus said in the Gospel of John: That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. The flesh profits nothing; it is the Spirit who gives life.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:6-7)

Later, in the time of David, David wanted to build a temple for God, so he saved hundreds of tons of gold, and countless amounts of copper and iron. As a result, God gave David a revelation. God personally drew a picture with His finger for David, and David passed the picture revealed by God to his son Solomon. Solomon built the temple according to God's revelation.

Fortunately, Solomon built according to God's revelation! Can we mess around with decorating God's house? Whether you like it or not is not important; what's important is that God likes it. For example, when my colleague renovates his house, I have to ask him what kind of countertop he wants to install, and I have to install it according to his wishes.

Moses and Solomon built God's temple, and they both had this attitude: I am a person, and He is God, so I have to listen to His revelation, whether I understand it or not. Some people have doubts. How do you know whether the church you build is victorious or not? Because the evil spirits in hell have been miserably dealt with by me! I strictly build God's church according to the revelation I can receive from God, whether it's going through fire or water.

People need to see through things in their understanding. The other day, I talked about the spiritual person who understands all things. If you see through everything, you won't care so much. I build God's temple, and God reveals the spirit of wisdom to me. After building it, I see that the effect is really good! This gospel is the power of God, and we must not believe in this powerful gospel in a way that makes it powerless.

Originally, people are already very tired from going to work and getting off work, and as a result, they have to carry a cross on their backs, which is even more tiring! The cross is to nail to death our carnal bad habits, and the cross cannot become our burden.

Jesus said:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

In the process of building the church, we must rely on the revelation of the Holy Spirit. Some people ask: Why does God reveal to you, but not to me? Then you must have that heart! Those who seek will surely find, and to those who knock, the door will be opened to him. I am a person who thirsts and seeks. When I started to build a victorious church, it was out of a great confusion in my heart. How is it that the current church is not the same as what is written in the Bible? So I desperately sought, and God revealed to me because of my thirst.

Receiving the Holy Spirit is Crucial

Many churches are not very useful and cannot solve any problems. I thought, this gospel is the power of God, so why is the church so bad? What we do ourselves is not good, so we must know that we have not done it right. If I build an airplane that won't fly, I know I can't build an airplane, and I won't say that's what an airplane is like.

Some pastors said to me: Look at our church's cell group leaders, they change every three to five years. I said: Where did the previous cell group leaders go? They said: The previous cell group leaders burned out. This burned out is called burn out in English. Why did this pastor tell me this? Because this pastor had hydrocephalus. I served him when he had hydrocephalus, and he said: Look, we pastors have to change cell group leaders every three to five years, and then we have to fill in, oh, it's hard work, we can only rest one day a week. I said: You are much better off than me. I haven't rested a day from my 20s to now.

He believes that the cell group leaders have to lead the cell group, lead Bible studies, and serve every week, and usually have to come to church on Sundays and go to work. If they don't rest for three to five years, they will definitely be finished. This is his logic, which sounds a bit strange. I can't listen to these words. I retorted at the time that an ordinary brother and sister in our church spends more time believing in the Lord in a week than your cell group leaders, and they don't burn out either. He asked what was going on. Because we build a victorious church according to God's revelation, which can truly solve problems.

I called a sister. I met her once six months ago, and I hadn't seen her for a long time. I said I wanted to understand her situation, and she told me that her colleagues were very envious of her, and a hand was helping her inexplicably, and God mysteriously added good customers to her. We can't control this, but God can! If you don't build a victorious church according to God's revelation, can the brothers and sisters not burn out! Good heavens, the burden of work, the burden of family, plus a cross, it's fatal!

Everyone must know that the word of God is very effective. If you feel that the word of God is not very effective, it is because you have not done it right. If you buy a car but still have to push it from behind, can that be called a car? That's called a rickshaw. Why is this the case? I read the Bible, and I read the Book of Acts many times. I was very eager for one thing to happen in those days, as long as I led in prayer, five thousand people would believe in the Lord at once! Wow, when the Holy Spirit comes, three thousand people believe in the Lord after preaching for three minutes. I used to like this, I liked it very much.

But after I read the Book of Acts, I found that they didn't do it this way. I'll tell you how they did it? Why don't we do it right today? Blessing is a good thing! Having blessings and the presence of God is very good, but people must know where the blessing begins. Now many people lead others to believe in the Lord, and the process is basically like this: Do you want to believe in Jesus? I want to believe in Jesus. Come, say a prayer of repentance with me. This is called a decision prayer to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Then believers should be baptized, find a pool or a bathtub to be baptized. After being baptized, it's over.

But when I read the Book of Acts, they didn't do it this way. If you don't believe it, you can read Acts chapter 8 and chapter 19. Peter followed Jesus, can Peter and John do it wrong? The Apostle Paul wrote so much, Ephesians, Galatians, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, and John wrote Revelation, can they do it wrong? They won't do it wrong.

I read it again carefully, and as a result, I found that Peter heard that someone had believed in the Lord and was baptized, so he went to see and asked, Have you received the Holy Spirit? If not, come and pray to receive the Holy Spirit. This record is not just once or twice, but many times. According to the Bible, I think Peter and John asked this question wherever they went: Have you believed in the Lord? Have you been baptized? Have you received the Holy Spirit? But today many people believe in the Lord and have eliminated the Holy Spirit.

For example, when we are doing work and stop halfway, the work we do is a semi-finished product, can that work? Can a car run without wheels? Can a car run without an engine? No, because it's useless, it's just a model at best. By the same token, is it okay to believe in the Lord without receiving the Holy Spirit?

Receiving the Holy Spirit is crucial. It is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. It is not by your repentance, nor by water baptism, but by the Holy Spirit that things can be accomplished. Later, Paul came, and God chose Paul as an apostle. Paul was very powerful, also an intellectual, and a very opinionated person. As a result, Paul did the same: Have you believed in the Lord? Have you been baptized? You have been baptized, so have you received the Holy Spirit? Receiving the Holy Spirit is the key!

When forging a sword, the last process is called quenching, which is to heat the sword red and then insert it into water, and then the sword is extremely sharp, cutting iron like mud. That process is called quenching, which is very important, and you must not leave it out. We must know that the Christian faith is a faith of revelation, relying on the Holy Spirit, and by faith accomplishing God's work in us, do you understand? That is to say, if a Christian has not received the Holy Spirit, it is a very troublesome thing.

The Intimate Connection Between God's Power and Being Filled with the Holy Spirit

Later, I studied what it truly means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I discovered that being filled with the Holy Spirit is manifested by speaking in tongues. The enigma of speaking in tongues is a significant one. Many people do not speak in tongues, yet they comment on it as if they were experts. I am unsure if their assessments are accurate.

We must return to the Bible. You must have confidence in me. I am a person who strictly adheres to the Bible. Because I strictly follow the Bible, miracles and wonders have sprung up among us like bamboo shoots after a rain.

When many people invite the Holy Spirit to fill them, it resembles reciting poetry, which is not very effective. I am more rugged. Ah, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, fill me! The Bible teaches that we should ask for the Holy Spirit as persistently as we would ask for bread. If one friend goes to another at midnight and urgently begs for bread, will not the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? (See Luke 11:5-13). The most detestable thing in a Christian is to be cultured, solemn and impeccable. God loves people who are full of emotions, like wind and fire. Therefore, you must thirst, and only then will the Holy Spirit fill you.

For many, being filled with the Holy Spirit is difficult. Some people have golden mouths that are hard to open. As a result, what happens? I came up with a trick: just open your mouth and say anything. But it is still too difficult to open their mouths, so I let them learn a few phrases from me, and it works. We should earnestly implement what the Bible tells us to do, and refrain from doing what it does not permit. As for what is not explicitly mentioned, we should act in faith.

As a control systems engineer, the input is not as crucial as the final outcome. Therefore, I have developed a habit of focusing on the results in everything I do. If the results are good, the process is of less concern. In our midst, everyone speaks in tongues. You don't need to worry about how they say it, as long as it works! Sometimes, even children speak in tongues with us, which is excellent!

I have discussed some enigmas of speaking in tongues, which you can listen to. This is called the spirit of revelation! What is born of the Spirit is spirit, and what is born of the flesh is flesh. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered, which is praying in the spirit.

You must know what the Bible says:

So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. (1 Corinthians 14:15)

The Bible never says that praying with understanding can replace speaking in tongues. In fact, both are essential. Reading the Bible cannot replace being filled with the Holy Spirit, nor can being filled with the Holy Spirit replace reading the Bible. Speaking in tongues cannot replace understanding God intellectually, nor can understanding God intellectually replace speaking in tongues. This is easy to understand, like an airplane with an engine, wings, and navigation system; it cannot function without any of these components.

Brothers and sisters, you must understand that the spirit of revelation is a crucial component. Peter, John, and Paul all emphasized being filled with the Holy Spirit, but many later stopped doing so. Why? Because people are often deceived by the devil. Why does the devil like to eliminate this aspect? Because it concerns power. Does the church not need power to overcome? What do you have to win without power, to play the club? I used to get a club and it made me overwhelmed.

Therefore, we must return to the original intention of the Bible. When we restore the truth of being filled with the Holy Spirit, God's power will continue to be manifested among us, and many illnesses will be healed. Even a Christian friend of one of our sisters had bone cancer and was in excruciating pain. She called me and asked if I could pray for her friend. I said, No problem. As a result of my prayer, her friend's pain disappeared, and she was able to walk. I often pray for people, and the prayers always work. Therefore, I praise my God; my God is so good!

The Importance of Restoring the Pure Gospel

Establishing a victorious church is a wonderful thing. First, we must restore the work of the Holy Spirit in the church and the revelation of the Holy Spirit in the church. This gospel is the power of God. The books of 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Ephesians, Galatians, and Romans all speak of the powerful gospel.

Restoring this pure gospel is essential. Where does the pure gospel come from? The pure gospel is the gospel of God's power. Recently, I often see an internet term called mouth-cannon, which means someone who can't do anything but talk. If this gospel has no power, doesn't it also become a mouth-cannon? Would you believe in a mouth-cannon gospel? They talk and talk for a long time, and I don't even know what they said.

Once, I listened to a Bible study on Hebrews online, and they didn't even talk about Hebrews after talking for half a day. They were just talking about their own things. But studying the Bible means reading out God's original intention:

He said to them: It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:7-8)

God's power and being filled with the Holy Spirit are closely related. God wants us to bear witness to his great power through the Holy Spirit. When Paul was on a ship and the ship was destroyed, Paul got off the ship and went to an island. Coincidentally, the island chief's father had a high fever, and Paul touched him and he was healed. It is good to be like Paul! Wherever he went, there were testimonies of God's power. This is the pure gospel, the powerful gospel. The mouth-cannon gospel is useless. All day long, people are speculating and talking about a lot of truths, but they can't solve any problems.

This gospel is the power of God. Today, the devil cannot continue to do corrupting work among us. We defeat the deeds of the devil every day because we have received the revelation of the Holy Spirit and the power of the Holy Spirit. What is the result of God's power being manifested among us? God truly performs miracles among us. Miracles have a very high place in the Bible. If miracles are removed from the Bible, all that remains is the cover and the back, and the Bible cannot be read.

The pure gospel is a powerful gospel. We must come out of the mouth-cannon gospel. Just talking is not very useful. Being filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving the Holy Spirit are crucial. However, I remind everyone that being filled with the Holy Spirit can never replace reading the Bible. You must still read the Bible carefully. The Bible is the word of God, written for us to read. Reading the Bible and being filled with the Holy Spirit are both essential.

A demon-possessed person says that he saw Jesus, and then Jesus said to him, Peace be with you. This is pure nonsense. What you saw was a demon in disguise. People should not deliberately pursue those things, because that is not the revelation of God. What is revelation? Revelation is centered on building a victorious church.

If you read the Gospels of Matthew and John, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Hebrews, especially Paul's letters, you will find that they are all about building the glorious church of God.

Seeking the Revelation of the Holy Spirit

Brothers and sisters, you must know that being filled with the Holy Spirit and power are extremely related, and the work of the Holy Spirit is closely related to mortifying the evil deeds of our flesh and the sinfulness within. To build a victorious church, the most crucial things are: first, receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit and obtain power; second, read the Bible carefully and strictly implement what the Bible says.

But here comes another problem: different people read the Bible and come up with completely different things. Only the Holy Spirit can guide you into the truth. You cannot read anything out of it by reading with the flesh. Therefore, ask the Spirit of God to reveal himself to you when you read the Bible.

Our God is extremely precious. If you do not have a sincere seeking heart, you will not obtain it. I have a sincere heart. I knelt down and prayed for two weeks in Genesis chapter one. In fact, I have read a lot of things in the Bible, but I don't understand what they are talking about. Then I knelt down and prayed in the room. That is meditating on the word of God day and night! Some people, once they can't understand it, then they give up. In this way, God's revelation cannot come.

If you listen to my Hebrews Bible study, every episode is the result of painful torment! They are all cooked through, laborious! But God is truly faithful and eventually allowed me to read and understand. The Hebrews Bible study is called Striving to Enter Perfection, which is my most satisfying book.

The revelation of the Holy Spirit is closely related to our constant seeking. Knock and the door will be opened to you. Seek and you will find. Brothers and sisters, you must restore that seeking heart within. It is useless if you listen with one ear and let it out the other. You must put it in your brain. Later, I created a recording-to-text ministry. You can learn a lot by listening and transcribing the text at the same time. If everyone can be proactive, they will definitely gain a lot from it. This is a seeking heart.

Some people say that the Holy Spirit does not reveal himself to them. Why should the Holy Spirit reveal himself to you? Oh, God! I want to choose that job. Actually, God doesn't really care which job you choose. What kind of people does the Holy Spirit reveal himself to? The Holy Spirit reveals himself to those who build victorious and glorious churches, because that is God's will.

Whether it is a gift, faith, or seeking, it all revolves around one thing: what can lead us into eternity is to build God's glorious church, and through the church, to become vessels that manifest God's glory, and then to become a blessing to this generation.

Brothers and sisters, you must know that seeking God's revelation is not hearing God's voice. Some people hear nothing, and then evil spirits come. There are many such things. Before, I was a cell group leader in a church. A sister in my group was very poor and had a very low salary. As a result, the pastor promoted going to Taiwan to hear God's voice, so she borrowed money to go. Actually, I don't like doing these mystical things. I like to do something serious.

After coming back, she came to me crying and said: They all heard and saw visions, but I heard nothing and saw nothing. Brothers and sisters, listen to my advice, don't do these things. Whether it is the New Testament or the Old Testament, all things are united in Jesus Christ. What does it mean? It means that we must manifest God's wisdom and glory through the church.

Building God's Glorious Church

If you are building up brothers and sisters in ministry, God will definitely give you revelation. In ministry, the Spirit of God often gives me a clear impression, and when I say it, the other person is really moved. A sister came among us and her life was very hard. After the meeting, I prayed with her for two minutes. The Spirit of God revealed to me that she had been hurt a lot. As a result, she cried and cried. Finally, someone was able to know her pain. Then I led her to believe in the Lord, and until today, she has become a leader in the church and ministers very well.

Brothers and sisters, you must know that the gifts of God are manifested through building the church, and the revelation of God is also manifested through building a victorious church. God will never reveal to you some messy things for your work, for your this and that. The reason why people face those problems in work and other aspects of life is because people have no destiny. If there is no destiny, then work and family, and children's schooling become major events, but if God wants to help you, these are all minor events. Why does God help us? Because we are the people who build God's glorious church.

When we have a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will guide us into a spiritual world, and we will see everything with spiritual eyes. What is spiritual vision? It is looking at problems from God's perspective. When we look at problems from God's perspective, we will find that we can see through many things. Why are you so uncomfortable today? Because you can't see through it. You see a lot of things as very important, and you can't tell what is really important.

But when we become builders of God's victorious church, many problems will be solved easily. Today's churches rarely talk about the spiritual realm. Why? Because talking about the spiritual realm seems unscientific. In fact, the spiritual realm is real. Do you want to know how real the spiritual realm is? Quantum mechanics studies the spiritual realm to the extreme. Many things are closely related to people's thoughts and consciousness. Brothers and sisters, don't think that is superstition. That is real.

Many times when I pray, I can see some strange animal images, snakes with several heads. This thing is very similar to the Classic of Mountains and Seas that I have read, what mountain and what water and what beast. I downloaded a copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas and read it. While reading it, the Holy Spirit revealed to me not to read that. It is revealing the spiritual realm of the devil. I should enter the spiritual realm of God, which is a higher level of the spiritual realm. God is really very wonderful.

God is willing to constantly give all things to his people through revelation. God's ultimate plan is the new heaven and new earth and the new holy city. The new holy city, Jerusalem, comes down from heaven, which is the new heaven and new earth. You and I are part of that holy city. We are all living stones!

This is a wonderful thing. It is a complete union with God, so that we will fully enjoy God's presence. We must begin to know what kind of result what we are doing today will achieve. That result is the holy city Jerusalem. Not the earthly Jerusalem, but the heavenly Jerusalem, the temple made up of God's church, and God's presence in the temple.

That is God's wonderful plan. It is the goal I strive to achieve: to build God's glorious church and to become the holy city Jerusalem. The holy city Jerusalem is also called the bride of Jesus Christ. The relationship between Adam and Eve, the first couple created by God, was very strange, but the perfect union between Jesus Christ and his church in the end is beyond our imagination. That is God's will, just like a bridegroom and a bride. This is what God reveals to us in Revelation. May God bless you all!
